Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. I don't think there is any doubt at
• 0:07
Speaker 1: this point that there is a cover-up underway and that
• 0:11
Speaker 1: we're only getting a portion of what the law requires
• 0:15
Speaker 1: the government to turn over. And even though they just
• 0:18
Speaker 1: released 3 million files, there's a lot that has been
• 0:21
Speaker 1: left on the table. And if the DOJ thinks this
• 0:25
Speaker 1: is going away and that people are just going to
• 0:28
Speaker 1: shrug their shoulders... And say, you know what? Maybe next time,
• 0:32
Speaker 1: they're crazy. Because that's not going to happen. And I've
• 0:37
Speaker 1: never seen people more fired up, ever, about this subject.
• 0:41
Speaker 1: And I'm talking about people from all walks of life.
• 0:45
Speaker 1: People that are Gen Z, all the way up to
• 0:48
Speaker 1: my 93-year-old grandmother. So if the DOJ is waiting for
• 0:52
Speaker 1: everybody to get tired of this, to get exhausted, to
• 0:56
Speaker 1: get frustrated, and to move on, they're making a big mistake.
• 1:01
Speaker 1: And I think that people that work at the DOJ
• 1:03
Speaker 1: right now have to understand that they're not always going
• 1:06
Speaker 1: to be in power. And at some point, there's going
• 1:10
Speaker 1: to be a reckoning. There's going to be inquiries. And hopefully,
• 1:14
Speaker 1: there's going to be a special investigator because that's what's needed.
• 1:17
Speaker 1: We need a special prosecutor to come in and have
• 1:20
Speaker 1: the power to really get things done, to investigate it
• 1:24
Speaker 1: the proper way. Because the DOJ has been given ample
• 1:28
Speaker 1: time And plenty of space to do the right thing.
• 1:31
Speaker 1: And they failed every step of the way. So is
• 1:35
Speaker 1: it any shock. That the Epstein dump. Has failed to
• 1:39
Speaker 1: quell the outrage. Today's article is from the Guardian. And
• 1:43
Speaker 1: the headline. New Epstein files failed to quell outrage. As
• 1:47
Speaker 1: advocates claim documents are being withheld. Well that's not just
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: a claim. It's a fact. 100% fact. That documents are
• 1:55
Speaker 1: being withheld. And it's also a fact. that unfortunately, there's
• 2:00
Speaker 1: not much that we can do about it. That's why
• 2:03
Speaker 1: it's important that we keep the heat on, and we
• 2:05
Speaker 1: make sure that our elected officials understand that this topic,
• 2:09
Speaker 1: this problem, isn't going away. And that until they deal
• 2:13
Speaker 1: with it, it's going to be like an albatross hanging
• 2:16
Speaker 1: around their neck. This article was authored by Victoria Bekempis.
• 2:23
Speaker 1: The release of about 3 million Jeffrey Epstein investigative files
• 2:27
Speaker 1: has failed to quell outrage over Justice Department officials handling
• 2:31
Speaker 1: of the disclosures, with advocates claiming potentially millions of documents
• 2:36
Speaker 1: are still being withheld. Yeah, that's not a claim, that's
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: a fact. 100% a fact. And they're going to rely
• 2:43
Speaker 1: on the bullshit-ass protections they have of saying that it's
• 2:47
Speaker 1: an ongoing investigation, or it's confidential due to national security,
• 2:53
Speaker 1: or whatever other BS they can come up with. And
• 2:55
Speaker 1: that's why at the time of the law being drawn up,
• 2:58
Speaker 1: I said that it should have some kind of function
• 3:01
Speaker 1: that holds people accountable if they're not in compliance with
• 3:05
Speaker 1: what the law says. Because we all knew the DOJ
• 3:09
Speaker 1: was going to play games. They're going to do whatever
• 3:11
Speaker 1: they want because they know that nobody's going to hold
• 3:14
Speaker 1: them accountable. Donald Trump's Department of Justice was required to
• 3:19
Speaker 1: disclose all investigative files by December 19th under the Epstein
• 3:24
Speaker 1: Files Transparency Act While the Justice Department did release some
• 3:28
Speaker 1: documents on that date, last week's disclosure came nearly six
• 3:33
Speaker 1: weeks after the deadline. And it's wild that the Justice Department,
• 3:37
Speaker 1: of all institutions, treats a deadline like it's not mandatory.
• 3:42
Speaker 1: Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who served as Trump's criminal
• 3:45
Speaker 1: defense lawyer, told reporters last week that this disclosure marked
• 3:49
Speaker 1: the end of a very comprehensive document identification and review
• 3:54
Speaker 1: process to ensure transparency to the American people and compliance
• 3:58
Speaker 1: with the act. Literally neither of those things occurred. There's
• 4:03
Speaker 1: been no real transparency and you missed the deadline. What
• 4:06
Speaker 1: are you even talking about right now, baby Billy Blanche?
• 4:09
Speaker 1: Has there ever been a bigger moron in his position?
• 4:13
Speaker 1: I mean, he might be the worst deputy attorney general
• 4:16
Speaker 1: in the history of this country. And that's saying something.
• 4:22
Speaker 1: After submitting the final report to Congress as required under
• 4:25
Speaker 1: the act and publishing the written justification for redactions in
• 4:30
Speaker 1: federal register, the department's obligations under the act will be completed,
• 4:35
Speaker 1: Blanche said. In other words, you're getting nothing else. In
• 4:38
Speaker 1: other words, nobody's going to prison. Nothing's going to happen.
• 4:43
Speaker 1: And we just got to deal with the fact that
• 4:44
Speaker 1: the curtain's been open now. You've been given a look
• 4:47
Speaker 1: in the room, but there's nothing you can do about it.
• 4:51
Speaker 1: Do they really think that things are ever going to
• 4:53
Speaker 1: go back to the way they were? Do they think
• 4:56
Speaker 1: that this is just going to go away and people
• 4:58
Speaker 1: are going to forget? Nobody trusts the institutions and certainly
• 5:02
Speaker 1: nobody trusts the DOJ. And unfortunately for them, it's all
• 5:07
Speaker 1: their own fault. And the craziest thing is, instead of
• 5:11
Speaker 1: trying to fix the problem, they just keep doubling down.
• 5:14
Speaker 1: They just keep making things worse. Usually when you find
• 5:18
Speaker 1: yourself in a hole, you stop digging. But not the
• 5:21
Speaker 1: Justice Department. No, instead they accelerated the process. He also
• 5:26
Speaker 1: said that while the Justice Department had found more than
• 5:29
Speaker 1: 6 million pages being identified as potentially responsive, that was
• 5:33
Speaker 1: because we erred on the side of over-collection of materials
• 5:37
Speaker 1: from various sources to best ensure maximum transparency. He's literally
• 5:42
Speaker 1: lying again. And I'm getting real tired of baby Billy
• 5:47
Speaker 1: Blanche lying to me. If this guy is qualified to
• 5:51
Speaker 1: be the Deputy Attorney General, then I'm qualified to fly
• 5:55
Speaker 1: one of those new stealth bombers. The missed deadline and
• 6:02
Speaker 1: up to 3 million files that remain unreleased have prompted
• 6:05
Speaker 1: criticism and calls for further disclosure later. to answer how
• 6:09
Speaker 1: Epstein sexually abused girls with impunity for decades and landed
• 6:13
Speaker 1: a sweetheart plea deal about 20 years ago that allowed
• 6:16
Speaker 1: him to avoid federal prosecution. And nobody's asking for too
• 6:20
Speaker 1: much here. People are asking for basic answers. And you
• 6:26
Speaker 1: know what? If you idiots would have done your job
• 6:28
Speaker 1: in the first place, we wouldn't even be here. Epstein
• 6:32
Speaker 1: would have been behind bars in 2008 for decades. And
• 6:36
Speaker 1: you would have saved all those girls who came after.
• 6:39
Speaker 1: The abuse. But no. Instead. Jeffrey Epstein of all people.
• 6:44
Speaker 1: Had to get the sweetheart deal. Of a lifetime. But sure.
• 6:48
Speaker 1: We need no explanation. About how that occurred. The government
• 6:55
Speaker 1: continues to avoid accountability. And has argued. That they are
• 6:59
Speaker 1: not responsible for Epstein's abuse. Of hundreds of victims. Said
• 7:03
Speaker 1: Jennifer Plotkin. Of Merson Law. Which represents. More than 30 victims.
• 7:08
Speaker 1: The release of the files proves the government failed the
• 7:11
Speaker 1: victims over and over again. There needs to be a
• 7:14
Speaker 1: class action suit like there was with Larry Nassar. That
• 7:18
Speaker 1: has to happen because the government refuses to do the
• 7:23
Speaker 1: right thing. They're not going to hold anybody accountable and
• 7:26
Speaker 1: they're going to continue to try and make it out
• 7:29
Speaker 1: like there's nothing that can happen here. Like there's no
• 7:32
Speaker 1: ramifications for the people who are involved in this. And
• 7:37
Speaker 1: I say that's bullshit. Every single person who was involved
• 7:41
Speaker 1: in the NPA from the state level to the federal
• 7:43
Speaker 1: level should be held accountable. And if it's found that
• 7:47
Speaker 1: you did anything untowards, you should have your pension ripped
• 7:50
Speaker 1: from you. And if there's some kind of indictment that
• 7:53
Speaker 1: you can be hit with, then that should happen too.
• 7:56
Speaker 1: But the big problem here is there was never a
• 7:59
Speaker 1: real investigation. And that's why we keep coming back to
• 8:03
Speaker 1: where we are. You can't push something under the rug
• 8:06
Speaker 1: for decades and then when it's exposed say, hey, you know,
• 8:10
Speaker 1: this is old. We don't need to worry about this. Nah, bitch,
• 8:13
Speaker 1: we do. And you should have been worried about it
• 8:16
Speaker 1: while it was happening. Dr. Ann Olivares, a woman's rights
• 8:22
Speaker 1: attorney and founder of law firm McAllister Olivares, said the
• 8:27
Speaker 1: disclosures have not lifted the veil on Epstein's ongoing evasion
• 8:30
Speaker 1: of justice until his 2019 prosecution. We have plenty of
• 8:36
Speaker 1: files on Epstein's depravity. What we're missing are the files
• 8:39
Speaker 1: on his immunity, she said. The question isn't just who
• 8:43
Speaker 1: was on Epstein's plane, but who made the phone call
• 8:46
Speaker 1: that stopped the 2007 investigation. Bingo. That's the real question.
• 8:52
Speaker 1: Don't get caught up on the salaciousness. I've told you
• 8:55
Speaker 1: that a million times. That's a side quest. The biggest
• 8:58
Speaker 1: issue here is the systemic corruption and the systemic protection
• 9:02
Speaker 1: that he's had for decades. that infrastructure needs to be dismantled,
• 9:07
Speaker 1: and the people that were involved, they need to be
• 9:09
Speaker 1: held accountable. A disclosure is not complete if it tells
• 9:14
Speaker 1: us something about the criminal, but nothing about the shield.
• 9:18
Speaker 1: Olivares also pointed to the dramatic difference between how many
• 9:21
Speaker 1: documents were identified as possibly pertinent versus how many were published.
• 9:27
Speaker 1: The DOJ initially identified over 6 million pages of interest,
• 9:32
Speaker 1: yet we have seen roughly half of that. They claim
• 9:35
Speaker 1: the rest are duplicates or non-responsive, Oliveira said. As an
• 9:40
Speaker 1: attorney who has spent my career fighting for transparency in
• 9:43
Speaker 1: cases of systemic abuse, I'm suspicious of this because the
• 9:48
Speaker 1: determination of what is responsive is made by the party
• 9:52
Speaker 1: holding the documents. It's ripe for tactical misuse. And then
• 9:56
Speaker 1: we get back to the trust issue. Do you trust
• 9:59
Speaker 1: Pam Bondi? do you trust Todd Blanche do you trust
• 10:02
Speaker 1: Kash Patel do you trust Donald Trump I most certainly
• 10:08
Speaker 1: don't so I'm not giving you the benefit of the
• 10:11
Speaker 1: doubt you haven't earned it in fact you've earned the
• 10:13
Speaker 1: opposite I distrust everything you have to say because you've
• 10:19
Speaker 1: proven yourselves to be liars time and time again. And unfortunately,
• 10:23
Speaker 1: that trend is not only continuing here, it accelerates. News
• 10:29
Speaker 1: website Radar Online, which filed a lawsuit more than eight
• 10:32
Speaker 1: years ago after the FBI failed to disclose Epstein files
• 10:36
Speaker 1: under an April 2017 public records FOIA request, also said
• 10:41
Speaker 1: last week's disclosure was insufficient. In addition to the many
• 10:46
Speaker 1: questionable redactions the public has identified, the DOJ has acknowledged
• 10:50
Speaker 1: that millions of Epstein's records were fully withheld. A spokesperson
• 10:55
Speaker 1: for Radar said, We have asked the Second Circuit Court
• 10:58
Speaker 1: of Appeals to send our FOIA case back to the
• 11:01
Speaker 1: district court so we can directly challenge any efforts to
• 11:04
Speaker 1: undermine transparency. Well, good for them. And kudos to Radar
• 11:09
Speaker 1: for taking the fight to the DOJ. Jennifer Freeman said,
• 11:13
Speaker 1: The Marsh Law Firm attorney, representing Maria Farmer, has said
• 11:17
Speaker 1: these disclosures have been a mess from the start, filled
• 11:21
Speaker 1: with missed deadlines and ham-fisted redactions, while exposing the identities
• 11:25
Speaker 1: of survivors. And there's no doubt that that's happening. I've
• 11:29
Speaker 1: pointed that out numerous times now. They really missed the boat.
• 11:34
Speaker 1: If the job was to get redactions right, boy, they
• 11:37
Speaker 1: fucked up. This fight isn't over. We won't allow the
• 11:40
Speaker 1: federal government to simply dump a couple million documents, wash
• 11:44
Speaker 1: their hands of one of the largest law enforcement failures
• 11:47
Speaker 1: in U.S. history, Freeman said. At this point, we have
• 11:50
Speaker 1: more questions than answers. Where is the rest of Maria
• 11:53
Speaker 1: Farmer's FBI file? Where are the records of complaints that
• 11:57
Speaker 1: so many other women made to the FBI, and how
• 12:00
Speaker 1: the FBI investigated those complaints? And why is the DOJ
• 12:05
Speaker 1: hiding the names of perpetrators while exposing survivors? Top Democrats, meanwhile,
• 12:11
Speaker 1: have slammed the handling of these files as Blanche doubled
• 12:14
Speaker 1: down on the Justice Department's work, with him telling ABC
• 12:17
Speaker 1: News on Sunday, this review is over. Imagine? Imagine having
• 12:23
Speaker 1: the audacity to look the American people in the face
• 12:26
  Speaker 1: and tell us that? We're witnessing a full-blown cover-up, Congressman
• 12:30
Speaker 1: Jamie Raskin, the Maryland Democrat, said on CNN's State of
• 12:34
Speaker 1: the Union. And yo, I really don't like to agree
• 12:38
Speaker 1: with Jamie Raskin, But he's not wrong. He's telling the truth.
• 12:44
Speaker 1: This is a cover-up. I called it out the day
• 12:48
Speaker 1: it started. And will continue to call it out until
• 12:52
Speaker 1: it ends. They've said there are 6 million potentially responsive
• 12:58
Speaker 1: documents there. They only released 3 million with more than 10,000 redactions.
• 13:04
Speaker 1: What about the other 3 million files, said Raskin. who's
• 13:07
Speaker 1: a ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee. We're just
• 13:10
Speaker 1: getting the dribs and drabs of information coming out, the
• 13:14
Speaker 1: stuff they want us to see. The Guardian contacted the
• 13:18
Speaker 1: DOJ for a comment about criticism. A DOJ official said
• 13:22
Speaker 1: in an email, This is a tired narrative. Just because
• 13:25
Speaker 1: you wish something to be true doesn't mean it is.
• 13:29
Speaker 1: The department produced more than 3.5 million pages in compliance
• 13:32
Speaker 1: with the law and has disclosed to the public and
• 13:35
Speaker 1: to Congress what items were not responsive in accordance with
• 13:39
Speaker 1: the act. They're so confrontational with everything they do, whether
• 13:44
Speaker 1: it's ICE operations or whether it's talking to the American
• 13:47
Speaker 1: public like this. That needs to end. They need to
• 13:52
Speaker 1: understand they work for us, not for MAGA, not for
• 13:55
Speaker 1: Donald Trump, for the American people as a whole. And
• 13:58
Speaker 1: it's going to be very interesting to watch all this
• 14:00
Speaker 1: hubris turn into fear when the reckoning comes. Because I'm
• 14:05
Speaker 1: telling you right now, there's going to be questions that
• 14:08
Speaker 1: need to be answered. And if the Republicans lose the
• 14:12
Speaker 1: House and Senate during midterms, yo, it's going to be
• 14:15
Speaker 1: a maelstrom. And guess what? I'm here for it. The
• 14:22
Speaker 1: official also said, I assume all members of Congress read
• 14:26
Speaker 1: the actual language before voting on it. But if not,
• 14:29
Speaker 1: our press release and letter to Congress clearly spells this out.
• 14:32
Speaker 1: So in other words, what they're saying is, fuck you.
• 14:36
Speaker 1: You didn't put any kind of teeth in the law,
• 14:39
Speaker 1: so we're not going to follow the law, and then
• 14:41
Speaker 1: we'll throw the law back in your face. That's what
• 14:44
Speaker 1: they're saying. And they're saying it with impunity. They really
• 14:48
Speaker 1: believe that this is the end of it. That they're
• 14:50
Speaker 1: not going to have to answer any more questions about
• 14:53
Speaker 1: Epstein and their failure to comply with the law. But
• 14:57
Speaker 1: they're making a big mistake, because nobody's buying their nonsense,
• 15:01
Speaker 1: and we're certainly... Not moving on. All of the information
• 15:06
Speaker 1: that goes with this episode can be found in the
