  Speaker 1: new practice facility. Evan and uh, let's start. First things first,

  Speaker 1: Bill Belichick seeing some high praise of this new facility

  Speaker 1: of the Raiders have here in Las Vegas. I guess

  Speaker 1: technically Henderson Las Vegas, gushing about the new facility, saying

  Speaker 1: his career in football. Itge is quite the high praise.

  Speaker 1: start at the top. I know, Dalton Keene was released yesterday.

  Speaker 1: The Patriots are getting down to the nitty gritty of cuts.

  Speaker 1: But we did have some returns today, Isaiah Win, Justin

  Speaker 1: harn as well as Hunter Henry. However, as many might expect,

  Speaker 1: Taikwon Thornton Christian Molkerson remain injured, kind of thinning out

  Speaker 1: the depth a little bit at wide receiver, but Isaiah

  Speaker 1: went in a red jersey. They weren't in pads though,

  Speaker 1: so it wasn't a high physical, highly physical practice. But

  Speaker 1: Isaiah Win was back in Justin Harnson a nice boost

  Speaker 1: there for the depth as far as offensive line goes.

  Speaker 1: Hunter Henry being back as well becaus a nice boost

  Speaker 1: of the tight end group. But you know, let's let's

  Speaker 1: talk for a second about Taikwon Thornton. That's just an

  Speaker 1: unfortunate report. Mike Giardi saying broke his collar bones, gonna

  Speaker 1: be out about eight weeks and you know, just at

  Speaker 1: the top, that's just a buzz kill. There's no other

  Speaker 1: way to put it. Or young rookie receiver that that

  Speaker 1: really started to flash and was you know, every time

  Speaker 1: he came on the field, seemed like he was getting better.

  Speaker 1: Tough for him. He's probably out until sometime October November. Now, Yeah,

  Speaker 1: now it sounds like maybe that IR boomerang might be

  Speaker 1: an option for him where he makes the fifty three
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: man roster initially and then gets put on IR after
• 2:23
  Speaker 1: cutdown day so that he can come back when he
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: is ready. He only has to miss four games technically

  Speaker 1: now based off reports eight to twelve week injury depending
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: on how guys heal and all that sort of thing.

  Speaker 1: But I think the one thing not to place blame
• 2:37
  Speaker 1: obviously on tai Quon because you know, he's just playing football,

  Speaker 1: but I think maybe that would be a little bit
• 2:42
  Speaker 1: of a lesson learned that sometimes he can just go down.

  Speaker 1: It looked like he tried to gain some extra yards
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: and four or five guys piled on top of him
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: at that point, and especially with his frame and with
• 2:53
  Speaker 1: the size limitations, that he does have. Again, I'm not
• 2:57
  Speaker 1: trying to say it's his fault that he got hurt,
• 2:59
  Speaker 1: but I think that those are moments where you sort
• 3:01
  Speaker 1: of learn where your limitations are on an NFL field.

  Speaker 1: Unfortunately the hard way. But like you said, such a buzzkill,

  Speaker 1: such a bummer, because this is a player that we've
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: all been clamoring for for the Patriots. It's not just
• 3:13
  Speaker 1: like that they had a rookie receiver that was actually
• 3:16
  Speaker 1: doing something in practice and looked good and looked the
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: part and all those types of things. It's also the
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: speed and the ability to create separation down the field
• 3:24
  Speaker 1: consistently at the top of the route with his four
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: to eight all of those things coming together. This was
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: a true separator. And I don't know if the Patriots
• 3:32
  Speaker 1: have had a true speed separation type of guy in
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: the way that Taekwon can impact a game in a while.

  Speaker 1: You draft a guy like Nikkil Harry, you hope for
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: the contested catches, right you trade for a guy like
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: Davante Parker, you hope for the contested catches. This was
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: a guy that was creating mountains of separation at times
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: with his speed and with his route running ability and
• 3:54
  Speaker 1: I don't know if they have a guy like that.

  Speaker 1: The good news is is that it's not season ending,

  Speaker 1: it's not a long term thing. Is not a lower

  Speaker 1: body where it might linger for him or something like that.

  Speaker 1: So hopefully bone teal and he gets back. Yeah. Yeah,

  Speaker 1: So there was a practice today. We didn't quite know

  Speaker 1: what to expect. Patriots are, you know, scheduled to have

  Speaker 1: two sets to join practices coming up with the Raiders

  Speaker 1: over the next couple of days. They had the game

  Speaker 1: Friday night, we were traveling on Sunday, so we weren't
• 4:18
  Speaker 1: quite sure what to expect. But it was actually, you know,
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: a pretty standard practice from what we've seen. Like I said,
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: they were in shells, but some competitive periods, a lot
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: of eleven on eleven seemed like they were kind of
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: getting the rust knocked off. It wasn't overly physical, but
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: it was probably more physical than I thought it was
• 4:33
  Speaker 1: going to be. Yeah, this was not a walkthrough. This
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: was a shorts and shells practice and they were going
• 4:39
  Speaker 1: out there doing some situational stuff. At the end of practice,
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: we saw two minute put as actually one minute. They
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: put fifty nine seconds up on the clock real time,
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: you know, running a two minute or one minute drill
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: in this case, and actually going through the steps of
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: what that might look like. And I thought that there
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: were some good throws there, and from Mac Jones, I
• 4:59
  Speaker 1: think when he get to shorts and shells, obviously the
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: big thing is really the back seven. It's like a
• 5:04
  Speaker 1: passing drill. Most of the time. You're not really evaluating
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: too much about the offensive line and defensive lines in
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: the pass rush, so you're more talking about a glorified
• 5:12
  Speaker 1: seven on seven at that point. And there was one
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: throw down the right sideline to Nelson Agalore that the
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: defensive coaches I think, I don't want to name names,
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: but one of the defensive coaches claimed that Nelson Aglore
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: was out of bounds. I'm not sure if he was
• 5:26
  Speaker 1: out of bounds, but it probably would have been what
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: probably a thirty yard touchdown or so down the right sideline,
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: a similar throw to the one we saw in the
• 5:33
  Speaker 1: preseason game on Friday night. It did look like Jabriel
• 5:37
  Speaker 1: Peppers might have been able to get a piece of
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: Nelson Agalore if it wasn't a live hitting situation. But
• 5:43
  Speaker 1: at the same time, it was a nice throw and catch,
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: and you saw still some ups and downs for the
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: offense where it's one two good plays and then maybe
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: a couple of bad ones thrown in there. But I thought,

  Speaker 1: overall today it seemed like they had a little bit
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: more tempo and a little bit more pace than, like

  Speaker 1: you said, like we expected, And maybe I let you

  Speaker 1: know what they expected. I don't know if the players

  Speaker 1: thought they were going to get themselves into like a

  Speaker 1: real shorts and shells practice today, I know. And then

  Speaker 1: they were. Then they were right in the weight room

  Speaker 1: as we were leaving, like, yeah, bless them working in
• 6:13
  Speaker 1: the heat. Wasn't you know, everyone's telling us it wasn't
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: that bad. It was only about ninety seven degrees today,
• 6:17
  Speaker 1: It's gonna be one hundred and five or so tomorrow.

  Speaker 1: But um, you know, just a couple of guys to highlight.

  Speaker 1: I thought, you know, Jacobe Meyers showing up with it
• 6:23
  Speaker 1: with a few catches today. You mentioned that end of
• 6:26
  Speaker 1: game kind of scenario where he had caught a couple
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: of dig routes. It seemed like, um, you know, continue
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: to work on that slant the Parker that they tried
• 6:32
  Speaker 1: to hit the other night. That play popped up a
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: few times as well. Uh, And you know. Overall, I

  Speaker 1: think you're right, though, you know, it's just a lot

  Speaker 1: of eleven on eleven, some red zone work, some situational work, uh,

  Speaker 1: Nick Folk finishing things off with some field goals, and

  Speaker 1: we kind of had a situational block perhaps where it
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: seemed like Cody I was like, did he really block that?
• 6:49
  Speaker 1: It seemed like he was that they were setting it up.
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: But um, it seemed like a really active day and
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: I should mention I should have said this at the

  Speaker 1: top though, Ronnie Perkins, Harvey LONGI two guys new faces
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: that weren't there, so a little bit of something to watch.

  Speaker 1: They do have to make some cuts tomorrow. I don't

  Speaker 1: I don't think those guys are in the firing line.

  Speaker 1: But no, you do wonder, not to speculate too much,

  Speaker 1: but you do wonder about potential ir and injury stin

  Speaker 1: for one of those guys this year. It doesn't really

  Speaker 1: seem like Ronnie Perkins has taken that year to leave,

  Speaker 1: not that I really had highlighted him as somebody that
• 7:21
  Speaker 1: I thought was going to come in and be a
• 7:22
  Speaker 1: full time contributor or anything like that this season. But

  Speaker 1: Afredy Jennings, Josh J. They've really taken that role by storm,

  Speaker 1: especially Jennings, And I don't know if there's a ton

  Speaker 1: of opportunity out there for Ronnie Perkins at this point

  Speaker 1: on the fifty three. Well, it was a you know,

  Speaker 1: it's plenty to talk about today with the new stadium

  Speaker 1: or sorry, the new practice facility and you know, getting

  Speaker 1: out there everybody, everybody on the field, finally getting a

  Speaker 1: little bit of working and after the game. But tomorrow

  Speaker 1: and Wednesday, those will be the big days. Of course,

  Speaker 1: to look a lot of the time about who's around

  Speaker 1: the player. We all think that Little Jordan's shown us

  Speaker 1: something to make the fifty three man roster, but when

  Speaker 1: he's doing it in the fourth quarter against the other

  Speaker 1: team's third and four stringers and Bailey z Appy's in
• 8:35
  Speaker 1: at quarterback, and we're watching him out at practice and
• 8:38
  Speaker 1: it's a lot with the twos and the threes, and
• 8:40
  Speaker 1: maybe leaning more towards the threes because of Taekwon Thornton's
• 8:43
  Speaker 1: injury partially obviously, he moves up the depth chart a
• 8:46
  Speaker 1: little bit today and you saw him. I believe I
• 8:49
  Speaker 1: have to go back and really check this, but I
• 8:51
  Speaker 1: think that that was the first target that I've seen

  Speaker 1: Little Jordan have from Mac Jones in a practice this summer.

  Speaker 1: So that means that he's actually playing with the starting quarterback.

  Speaker 1: And I remember people talking about this with Brady with

  Speaker 1: the Austin Cars of the World and Riley mccarrin's, and yeah,

  Speaker 1: they would look great in practice with Hoyer and you

  Speaker 1: know whoever the backup quarterbacks were at the time, but

  Speaker 1: they never actually got any opportunities with Tom Brady, Little

  Speaker 1: Jordan Humphrey, partially because of the injury, partially because he's

  Speaker 1: played well, has at least earned that maybe, and I

  Speaker 1: think over the next couple of days, it'll be interesting
• 9:24
  Speaker 1: to see if he gets more looks with the ones

  Speaker 1: and maybe even the high twos if you will, or

  Speaker 1: the one bees, if that's going to be the case.

  Speaker 1: And maybe the coaching staff is starting to buy into
