- 0:18Hello, and welcome to episode 280 of the All Systems Go sports
- 0:24Betting podcast powered by Rhythm.
- 0:27I'm your host, Josh Applebaum. What's going on everyone?
- 0:36Happy Friday. Our work week is coming to an
- 0:39end. We got the weekend upon us,
- 0:40guys, and we got a lot to get to, a lot to break down on the
- 0:44final pot of the week. I have for you today a four pack
- 0:48of sweats that I'm excited to share with you, including three
- 0:51Major League Baseball plays, one of which is a day game.
- 0:54So I wanted to get the pot out a little bit early, let you hear
- 0:56the breakdown and decide whether or not you want to ride with me
- 0:59on this one. I also have a play for you in
- 1:01the NBA. There's only one game, Celtics,
- 1:03Knicks. I got a sharp, sharp play for
- 1:06you in this one. Hopefully it'll come through and
- 1:08then a little bit of a bonus. I have a NFL win total that I'm
- 1:12excited to talk about with you guys today.
- 1:14Really the importance of stability, offseason changes and
- 1:19really looking at playing the market kind of against each
- 1:22other. So basically looking at a team
- 1:24or seeing movement toward the over win total.
- 1:27And if you caught the the segment I had with Patrick Maher
- 1:30and Dustin Swedelson last night on on SiriusXM, we broke down
- 1:34this one and looking at NFL win totals, you might know me or
- 1:37might, might not, but I love betting win totals.
- 1:39It just kind of provides you something to root for rooting
- 1:42interest throughout the season. And hey, I love cashing tickets,
- 1:45whether it's a ticket we catch tonight or six months from now,
- 1:48they cash just the same. But in the process of betting
- 1:50win totals, to me, it's a good exercise to just acclimate
- 1:53yourself to the teams, the changes how the betting market
- 1:56is respecting or disrespecting certain teams.
- 1:59So I do have a win total bet for you there.
- 2:01But this is a bet where you really want to shop for the best
- 2:05line because there's a lot of different numbers out there.
- 2:07So stay tuned for that. So a big Friday, 4 Pack 3 MLB,
- 2:11one NBA and an NFL win total. Now looking back toward last
- 2:15night, guys, our pass bump. Remember, pass was overturned,
- 2:19opening up the world to legalize sports betting in America seven
- 2:23years ago this week. And since the anniversary,
- 2:26another winning day 2 and one last night, plus 0.27 units.
- 2:30So I will take a quarter of a unit.
- 2:32Don't sneeze at it, don't laugh at it.
- 2:34We'll take it, put it in our pocket, reinvest it into today.
- 2:38But we had a couple great hits #1 to me was the Rangers.
- 2:41Rangers, just if you watch that game, it was on MLBTV.
- 2:45And boy, was that an incredible pitching duel between Hunter
- 2:47Brown in vintage. Vintage like you know, 2015
- 2:52degrom when he was with the Mets, but they were dueling back
- 2:55and forth. It was a one nothing win big
- 2:58home run by Jake Berger who went oppo and boy did the the Rangers
- 3:02flash some leather because they were making incredible catches
- 3:05in the outfield. There was one by a couple by
- 3:07Garcia and Wright great one by who was it?
- 3:10I think Evan Carter and center and they really, really came to
- 3:13play. So that was a great hit there
- 3:15with the Rangers. And then it's always nice when
- 3:17you don't have to sweat a game at all.
- 3:18How about the Dodgers winning 19?
- 3:20Was it 19 to 2? What was the score?
- 3:23Let me double check that one. Yeah, 19 to 2.
- 3:25And boy, do we beat the closing line.
- 3:27Got a -, 200. They close like -250 So I don't
- 3:30remember the last time I had $0.50 of closing line value, But
- 3:34nice sit there with the Dodgers. And I'll also mention when I saw
- 3:37Otani go deep twice last night, I said, you know what?
- 3:40I think he's still plus money for National League MVP.
- 3:43I opened up my Juice Reel app. One of my favorite aspects of
- 3:46Juice Reel is if you go to the futures tab, it'll give you all
- 3:49the different futures markets. And you don't have to literally
- 3:51go to every book and look it up. It'll just give you the best
- 3:53price. So I looked up, hey, what's
- 3:55Otani's MVP odds? And I got down on Otani last
- 3:59night after his his first Homer at plus 155 at ESPN bet.
- 4:05I just checked this morning, he's down to plus 140.
- 4:08Aaron Judge is like -1000 so Judge is like, you know, is Ted
- 4:11Williams getting nervous about a guy hitting 400?
- 4:14But I said, you know what, Otani's ridiculous.
- 4:17Maybe he wins it. Again, I'm getting plus money.
- 4:19So if you want to ride with me, I did put in Otani plus 155 to
- 4:23win National League MVP. So with that being said, two
- 4:27straight winning days, let's see if we can make it a third
- 4:28straight straight winning day as we steam into the weekend.
- 4:32Now, normally I would start with the big NBA game tonight,
- 4:35Celtics next, but we'll wait on that for a second.
- 4:37I want to talk MLB first because there is a game upcoming early
- 4:41here today at Wrigley Field. Cubs, White Sox, and I got to
- 4:43play on this one. So let's break it down, give you
- 4:46a chance to hear the breakdown and decide whether you want a
- 4:49tail fade or layoff or play it or whatever you want to do.
- 4:52But anyway, 2:20 PM Eastern Time, first pitch, we got the
- 4:55White Sox visiting the Chicago Cubbies.
- 4:58Now the White Sox come in 14 and 30, just took two or three
- 5:01though against the Reds. Couldn't get the sweep though
- 5:03they lost that series finale 7 to 1 as a plus 2O5 road dog.
- 5:08Similarly, the Cubbies 25 and 19, they just took two or three
- 5:10against the Marlins, but also lost that series finale 3 to 1
- 5:14as a -, 220 home favorite. So pitching matchup here today
- 5:18at Wrigley. By the way, I went to visit
- 5:20Wrigley back in 2011. The button was the Bobby
- 5:23Valentine year was 2012. But it's my first time with with
- 5:26going to Wrigley ever and had a fantastic time.
- 5:29So I'd like to get back to Wrigley one day.
- 5:31I love Murphy's, was it Murphy's Bar and Grill or Murphy's
- 5:34bleachers or something? Great bar out out in center
- 5:36field. Anyway, I digress, I guess I
- 5:40just wish I'd be. I was in the stand sweating the
- 5:42Cubs in person today. But pitching matchup, we do have
- 5:45the White Sox going with the righty Shane Smith.
- 5:47He's 1 and 2 two point O 8 ERA. Meanwhile, the Cubbies are going
- 5:50to go with Cade Horton, fellow righty.
- 5:53He's one and O 6.75 ERA. So what have you seen across the
- 5:57market here? Well, even though it's a big
- 5:58number, sharps are landed with the Cubs and that's what I'm
- 6:01doing too. Give me the Cubs guys.
- 6:02Cubs open this game around a -, 200 home favorite.
- 6:05We've now seen the Cubbies get steamed up to around -225 Some
- 6:09books are as high as -230 or -240.
- 6:12Now, I was able to get Cubs -225 at Bet MGM.
- 6:15I know it's a big number, but wait until you hear all these
- 6:18system matches lit up on the Cubs.
- 6:19But again, 225 is your best price should still be available
- 6:23at Bet MGM. If you look at the splits, Cubs
- 6:2587% of money line bets, 88% of money line dollars at DraftKings
- 6:30and then at Circa only 50% of money line bets but 73% of money
- 6:35line dollars. So we got heavy heavy pro and
- 6:37Joe support on the Cubs at DraftKings and we got a good,
- 6:41you know, half the tickets, three out of $4.00 on the Cubs
- 6:44out at Circa. I have 14 system matches lit up
- 6:48on the Cubs. So here are just some of the the
- 6:50best ones that performed the best this year.
- 6:52Home favorites -200 or more. They're 73 and 1979 percent, 11%
- 6:58ROI. Both teams coming off a loss,
- 7:00which is the case here, take the favorite, 31 and 1371 percent,
- 7:0514% ROI. Interleague, Home favorites, 77
- 7:09and 40, three, 6% ROI. Cubs, by the way, are 12 and
- 7:13four after a loss this year, 75%.
- 7:16That's the best quote UN quote bounce back team in baseball.
- 7:19Also rest first tired advantage. The Cubs were off yesterday.
- 7:23Whereas you have the White Sox who played the Reds and now must
- 7:28in Cincinnati and now have to travel back to Chicago in that
- 7:31spot. A rested favorite coming off a
- 7:33day off. Those teams are 66 and 3367%
- 7:37with a 9% ROI. Now the Cubs going to bank on
- 7:40hopefully Horton out pitching Smith, but also the offense
- 7:44showing up and getting to Smith because the Cubs are hitting 250
- 7:47this year, 63 homers, 244 runs scored.
- 7:51White Sox only hitting two 1432 homers, 149 runs scored.
- 7:56Cubs in particular, we got 2 righties on the bump.
- 7:58They're hitting 245 against righties this year.
- 8:01That's 16th and Major League Baseball.
- 8:03On the other hand, the White Sox are only hitting 211 against
- 8:06righties. That is dead last 30th and Major
- 8:09League Baseball. Also a little home Rd. split
- 8:11here. Cubbies 12 and 10 at home.
- 8:13Nothing amazing but winning at home at Wrigley White Sox.
- 8:16By the way, only 5 and 18 on the road this season.
- 8:19And then lastly, a little cherry on top.
- 8:21We have a 12% sharp mush edge in favor of the Cubbies, which
- 8:26again is coming from our friends at Juice Reel.
- 8:29The better, sharper winning betters are going Cubs versus
- 8:31the again, profit deficient betters who are leaning more
- 8:35toward maybe some big plus money on the White Sox.
- 8:37So I know it's a big number, but as always, guys bet to us first
- 8:40bet to win. If you're riding the Cubs with
- 8:41me, go Cubbies. But again -225 you're risking
- 8:45only your one unit every play. In this case, you're not risking
- 8:492.25 units to win one. You're risking your one trying
- 8:52to get a little less than 1/2 unit back.
- 8:54But let's go Cubbies. Next one for you.
- 8:58If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Houston Astros playing game two
- 9:03of their series against the Texas Rangers.
- 9:05So Rangers had a huge win for us last night.
- 9:07They're now 24 and 21 looking good.
- 9:09Looking a little bit good here for the over 85 1/2 win total.
- 9:12For those of you who know, you know, but one one nothing as a
- 9:16-, 130 home favorite for us last night.
- 9:19Tonight's rematch, the Strohs, who are 22 and 21.
- 9:22They're going to go with the ready Lance Mccullers O and
- 9:24115.75 ERA. He's only made two starts and he
- 9:28just got absolutely lit up in his last one.
- 9:31Rangers, meanwhile, going with the right, the writing Nathan of
- 9:34ALDI four and two 1.78 ERA. By the way, my Red Sox should
- 9:38never have let Nathan of ALDI go anyway this game open Texas
- 9:42around a -, 170 home favorite Houston a + 150 row dog.
- 9:47You would assume maybe it's a bounce back.
- 9:49Houston still a pretty good team, a lot of plus money.
- 9:52Nope. Wise guys are absolutely
- 9:55hammering the Texas Rangers here.
- 9:57Texas Rangers have been steamed up -170 up to -190 you can still
- 10:02get -190 yet looks like ESPN, Bet FanDuel and Bet MGM.
- 10:05But a lot of other books are creeping toward -195 or -200 So
- 10:09again, name of the name of the game today is hey, getting good
- 10:12numbers on these bigger favorites.
- 10:14But I also like the fact that it's not a huge public play.
- 10:17Like if you look at Circa right now, tickets are basically 5050
- 10:20down the middle. So even though it's 5050,
- 10:23theoretically aligned shouldn't move at all if the bets are
- 10:25even. We've actually seen this big
- 10:26steam hit. Texas tells tells me the Rangers
- 10:29are taking in some sharp action. Rangers have 6 system matches
- 10:33lit U for me today. Some of the best include home
- 10:35favorites off a win with a winning record.
- 10:38One O 4 and 52 this year. 67% with a 6% ROI.
- 10:42Home favorites -150 or more 137 and 6070% with a 4% ROI.
- 10:49Home favorites in the opening game of a new series.
- 10:52This is a new system that I came up with the other day.
- 10:53I was just thinking to myself, hey, game one of a new series.
- 10:56How does the chalk do? Well, it does pretty good.
- 10:58Knock on wood because we have the game one of a new series
- 11:02favorites going 86 and 4168 percent 9% ROI.
- 11:09Good correlative betting here. We got a favorite low total.
- 11:12So total in this game is 8 actually fell 8 1/2 down to 8
- 11:15and the lines moving toward the favorite.
- 11:16So good correlative betting sign there.
- 11:18Fair amount of expected runs scored more likely to come from
- 11:21quote UN quote that better team. We got a good home Rd. split.
- 11:24Rangers have been really good at home 16 and eight this year.
- 11:27Astros only 7 and 12 on the road and as we mentioned with
- 11:31Mccullers, just give up seven runs, only got through one out
- 11:341/3 of an innings pitched against the Reds.
- 11:37Meanwhile, our guy Ovaldi, 0.69 ERA and two May starts, he's
- 11:42only giving up one run and 13 innings pitched in the month of
- 11:46May. So 5050.
- 11:48But we got steam on the Rangers. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
- 11:51Let's get let's get to Mccullers Ovaldi.
- 11:54Let's pitch a gem. Really good 5050 sharp steam
- 11:57move with a ton of system matches.
- 11:59Home Rd. splits. I'm going Ivaldi over Mccullers.
- 12:03I got the Rangers at -190 last bite of the night in MLB before
- 12:08we get to the NBA game and the NFL win total. 10:15 PM Eastern
- 12:12Time the A's visiting the San Francisco G men Athletics come
- 12:18in 22 and 22. Just dropped two or three though
- 12:20against the Dodgers, which was good for us last night.
- 12:23They got rolled 19 to 2 as a + 215 Rd. dog.
- 12:27Meanwhile the G men 25 and 19 did just lose two or three
- 12:31though against the Diamondbacks. Dropped that series finale 8 to
- 12:347 as a -. 1 O 5 home dog. So pitching match up here.
- 12:38The A's are going to go with the lefty JP Sears.
- 12:41He's four and two 2.8 O ERA. Meanwhile, the G men are going
- 12:44to go with the righty Logan Webb four and three 2.6 O ERA.
- 12:49So looking at the market move here, if you like the Rangers,
- 12:53you like the G men. Very, very similar situation
- 12:56here because like the Rangers seeing Fran open this game
- 12:59around a -, 170 home favorite. Now they're getting steamed up
- 13:02upwards of -200 Now I got the Giants at -190 at ESPN bet that
- 13:07should still be available, but really got a great bet split
- 13:11here at Circa. Only 56% of money line bets, but
- 13:1584% of money line dollars on the G men.
- 13:18So good low bets, higher dollar split.
- 13:20I have 12 system matches lit up on the Giants here.
- 13:24Home favorites -200 or more. They're 73 and 1979 percent, 11%
- 13:30ROI. Both teams coming off a loss.
- 13:32That favorite is 71 percent, 14% ROI this year.
- 13:36Interleague, home favorites, 64 percent, 6% ROI.
- 13:39And again, home favorites in the opening game of a new series, 68
- 13:43percent, 9% ROI. We have another rest.
- 13:46First tired advantage because the Giants were off yesterday,
- 13:49whereas the A's again played. The Dodgers got their faces
- 13:52ripped off and now have to go to San Francisco.
- 13:55That rested favorite coming off a day off is 67 percent, 9% ROI
- 13:59this year. San Fran correlative betting
- 14:01once again, low total of seven with a favorite upwards of -200
- 14:07Giants Also much better bullpen. Like hopefully web pitch is
- 14:11great and we light up Sears, but if we got a battle here, one
- 14:15advantage is the Giants have the number one bullpen in baseball
- 14:172.68 ERA. The athletics have the third
- 14:20worst pen in baseball 5.75 ERA. And I want to back Logan Webb at
- 14:25home in particular. He's 2 and O 0.44 ERA on the
- 14:29road, 2 and three 3.86 ERA and then little cherry on top and
- 14:33boy is it a big cherry. Open up the Juice Reel app and I
- 14:37noticed one of the biggest sharp mush edges that I've seen in
- 14:39quite a while here. 43% sharp mush edge in favor of the G men
- 14:44in the spot. So boy, do we have a lot of
- 14:46sharp winning betters in the Juice Reel app who have synced
- 14:49up their books going with the the Giants in this one.
- 14:52So again, you like the Rangers, you like the Giants.
- 14:54Similar opening line, similar line move again.
- 14:58I'm going to lay the chalk here with the G men.
- 14:59I got a -, 190 at ESPN bet. Next one for you.
- 15:05You know, I got to talk Celtics and Knicks to my Celtics.
- 15:08Do they force a Game 7? Does their season end tonight?
- 15:12Well, I'm hoping they force a game seven.
- 15:14I guess they could lose by two and I'd still cover this number.
- 15:16But I'm liking I'm liking the Celtics here tonight, guys,
- 15:19Celtics and the New York Knicks. Obviously the only game in town
- 15:22in the NBA. It's going to be extremely
- 15:24heavily bet and we have an opportunity to really go
- 15:27contrarian in the spot because this is of course, Game 6.
- 15:31The New York Knicks lead three to two.
- 15:34Remember Jason Tatum got hurt. Celtics looked like they were
- 15:37left for dead and then they stormed back one 127 to one O 2
- 15:41in Game 5 to force this Game 6 and I would argue really
- 15:45everything has changed since then Now the Knicks good roll
- 15:48tonight season's over, they move on but a couple of things going
- 15:51on let's start with the betting market.
- 15:53One thing I've noticed in the betting market is actually two
- 15:55major factors here 1 is that everyone's playing the Knicks.
- 15:59If you look at the current bet splits right now at DraftKings,
- 16:0268% of betters again big national public book are going
- 16:06with the Knicks and at circa you have, let's see, 79% of betters
- 16:12going with the Knicks. So right off the bat, just from
- 16:15the standpoint of prime time game, 8:00 only playoff game in
- 16:18town, Boston, NY extremely heavily bet.
- 16:22Everyone's playing the Knicks. So as a contrarian, right off
- 16:25the bat, the thing that I noticed is, hey, we can go
- 16:27contrarian bet against the public in a very heavily bet
- 16:30public game by taking the Celtics in the points.
- 16:33But again, as we've learned, or at least maybe hopefully you've
- 16:35learned by now, contrarian is a great starting point, but it's
- 16:38not the end all be all. You have to have contrarian with
- 16:41some kind of element of smart money.
- 16:43It's not just enough to bet against the the masses, but you
- 16:46got to also be with the wise guys.
- 16:48So I think we're with the wise guys in this one based on how
- 16:51the market is reacted. Because if when we open this
- 16:53game, a lot of books oak open the Knicks basically -2 -, 2
- 16:581/2. Some books at one point opened
- 17:01three or got to three. But ever since that took place,
- 17:05we've seen this line get back down to 2 1/2.
- 17:07And if you look at the juice, there are a couple books that
- 17:09are that are actually juicing up the Celtic side plus 2 1/2 -
- 17:13115. So basically we're looking at, I
- 17:16would argue a line freeze heavy betting the Knicks.
- 17:19But this line isn't up to 3 or 3 1/2 or 4.
- 17:21It's staying right where it's at, basically 2 1/2.
- 17:25Again, some books open 3, some 2, some 2 1/2.
- 17:27You split it down the middle, 2 1/2 and it's still 2 1/2, even
- 17:31though, again, three out of four bets basically are going with
- 17:34the Knicks. So that tells me that the odds
- 17:36makers are more reluctant to, you know, they don't want to
- 17:39move it up to three or three and a half and give out a better
- 17:41number to contrarian Celtics backers.
- 17:44They're more concerned about, again, they're taking in all
- 17:47this public money on the Knicks, but they're more concerned about
- 17:49really looks to me, the Celtics contrarian side circa only 21%
- 17:53bets, but nearly 40% of the money is on the Celtics.
- 17:57If we look at our friends at Rhythm.
- 17:59I have two system matches or predictions lit up on the
- 18:02Celtics. One has the Celtics losing one O
- 18:057 to one O 6.1, so that is a spread of plus 0.9.
- 18:10And then I have another one where the Celtics lose one O 6.9
- 18:13to one O 5.3. That's a spread of 1.6.
- 18:17So basically I have a one or a 1 1/2 point game and we're against
- 18:20the public getting a 2 1/2 with some sharp line freeze or even
- 18:23some reverse line with the three down to 2 1/2.
- 18:26I did a three system matches lit up on the Celtics money line.
- 18:30I said, hey, if they win, I'll be happy.
- 18:32If they, you know, I want, I want this series to continue,
- 18:36obviously. But even if they lose by two and
- 18:39you cover 2 1/2, hey, we're good with that as well.
- 18:42So we're against the public. We are contrarying in an
- 18:44extremely heavy back game. Rhythm is telling us it should
- 18:47be about a one or 1 1/2 point game and we're getting 2 1/2.
- 18:50And then here's the other angle that I'm looking at.
- 18:53Maybe I'm a Celtics, you know, Homa.
- 18:55Yeah, I got my dunks coffee. I'm just with the salts tonight.
- 18:58Actually, that's more of a New York accent.
- 19:00I got to make sure my accents are correct.
- 19:02I grew up in Western Mass. We don't really have the the
- 19:04Boston accent or the Boston. I don't even know how to do it.
- 19:07But anyway, it seems to me the play style of the Celtics has
- 19:12changed. And I'm not going to say that
- 19:14they're better without Tatum, but it seems to me they're
- 19:17playing better without Tatum. They're not a better team, but
- 19:21without Tatum, again, they're dribbling the ball more, they're
- 19:25passing the ball more. They're more in the flow of the
- 19:28offense. They're playing with house money
- 19:30because Tatum's out and the pressure is now on the Knicks
- 19:33and what's not on the Celtics to blow the series.
- 19:35It's on the Knicks to close out this series in the Celtics,
- 19:39again, in the spot, can kind of play free, play with a chip on
- 19:42their shoulder, play with house money.
- 19:44That's, again, not a data angle. And again, maybe I'm injecting
- 19:48some of my own, you know, eye tests what I've seen since Tatum
- 19:51went down. But win one for the Gipper.
- 19:53With Tatum being out, Jalen Brown can be the man, which
- 19:56again, he's had to defer to Tatum quite a bit.
- 19:59And now the pressure shifts to the Knicks.
- 20:01You don't want to lose this game and have to go to Boston for
- 20:03Game 7. So if this was like a trendy dog
- 20:06Celtics or the Lions moving toward the Knicks, I'd say, you
- 20:09know, I like the way the Celts are playing, but you know, I got
- 20:11to respect the market. The market is telling me we got
- 20:14line freeze, contrarian opportunity with Boston.
- 20:17And again, Rhythm is saying it should be about a one or 1 1/2
- 20:20point game. So I am taking the points.
- 20:22I got Celtics plus 2 1/2. Now to finish up the pod, I got
- 20:28a win total for you and I happen to have a win total bet on my
- 20:33favorite team, although I'm not taking the over cuz they're my
- 20:36favorite team. I'm taking the over because
- 20:38we've seen some good market movement on the Patriots.
- 20:42That's right, the New England Patriots.
- 20:44Patriots are, of course, you know, coming off another
- 20:49terrible year where they went 4 and 13 twice in a row.
- 20:53But I think there's reason for reasons for optimism for the
- 20:55Patriots. So let's start off with the
- 20:57betting market. Back on April 11th.
- 21:00I screenshot of the odds for the win totals when I saw them first
- 21:03pop up on ESPN Bet Celtics or sorry, Celtics.
- 21:06Patriots had a win total of 7 1/2.
- 21:08The over was juice -125. I was going to talk about the
- 21:12Patriots win total on the on my appearance with Patrick Maher
- 21:16and Dustin Swedelson on Beeson Live tonight on SiriusXM.
- 21:20And I looked it up and they're now up to 8 1/2 wins.
- 21:23Now the under is -115 but again, they jumped seven half to 8 1/2
- 21:27post draft and free agency. And now you're asking yourself,
- 21:30OK, why do we think the Patriots are going to be better?
- 21:33On the one hand, to me, the most important thing is you have a
- 21:36coach who hopefully knows what he's doing drawed.
- 21:38Mayo was in over his head, a complete embarrassment.
- 21:41I don't even blame Mayo too much.
- 21:42I blame Robert Kraft for putting in a guy who had no business to
- 21:45be a head coach. But you're going from Rabel or
- 21:49Mayo to Rabel should be a big upgrade.
- 21:53Van Pelt to Josh McDaniels should be an upgrade.
- 21:56You also are getting Drake May in year 2.
- 21:58Hopefully you're getting that second year leap.
- 22:00You have a ton of money that was spent in free agency bringing in
- 22:03Carlton Davis to play opposite at cornerback, opposite of
- 22:08Christian Gonzalez. You bring in Milton Williams,
- 22:10big big guy on the DD line who won the Super Bowl and was a
- 22:14monster in that Super Bowl, getting to Patrick Mahomes, guys
- 22:17like Harold Landry, Robert Spillane.
- 22:19You bring in Stefan Diggs to help out on offense and then
- 22:23also you have Christian Barmore coming back from injury.
- 22:27He missed a lot of last year with blood clots.
- 22:29Then in the draft, you take a, you know, a gaping hole and fill
- 22:33that hole with Will Campbell at left tackle, Trayvon Henderson,
- 22:37again running back from Ohio State.
- 22:39If you combine the draft with the offseason money they spent,
- 22:43to me they're a much better team with a better coaching staff.
- 22:45So if you add in a couple other things like the fact that last
- 22:49year they were favored 0 times, this year their favorite in 11
- 22:53games. Also, they have the third
- 22:55easiest schedule. And if you look at miles
- 22:58traveled, then it's kind of a wonky stat, but they have the
- 23:016th fewest miles traveled, save an easy schedule.
- 23:04Again, in terms of who they're playing, an easy schedule in
- 23:06terms of not a lot of travel. So I'm thinking, OK, Patriots
- 23:11are in for a good year. But here's where it becomes
- 23:13really, really important to shop for the best line.
- 23:16All I'm seeing across the Internet is the Patriots win
- 23:18totals 8 1/2. Now, that is correct, but it's
- 23:22not quite telling the whole story.
- 23:24At ESPN bet it's 8 1/2 / - 1 O 5 under -115.
- 23:30At DraftKings, 8 1/2 / - 115 under -1 O 5.
- 23:34At bet MGM, 8 1/2 / + 115 under -140.
- 23:40But at FanDuel, FanDuel the over is 7 1/2 at -145.
- 23:46I know it's a little hefty. Caesar's is 7 1/2 / -, 170.
- 23:50So my thought process here is, you know, I bet player props
- 23:54where it's, you know, I lose by 1/2 yard.
- 23:57It happens. I bet, you know, games where I
- 23:59lose by 1/2 point, I'm willing to pay a little more juice to
- 24:03protect myself so that the Patriots only have to win eight
- 24:06games this year. So I took took the Patriots over
- 24:097 1/2 wins at -145 at FanDuel. It's still available.
- 24:14But again, you know, I want to save some juice.
- 24:17Like, maybe I should just go over 8 1/2 at plus 1/15 at Bet
- 24:20MGM plus money payout, obviously better juice.
- 24:24But if the Patriots win eight games, what does it matter if I
- 24:27lose that bet? I want to win this bet.
- 24:29So I'm going to pay a little more juice, protect myself and
- 24:32take the Patriots to win eight games this year.
- 24:34And I got them over 7 1/2 -, 145 at FanDuel Let's go, Patriots.
- 24:41So that about does it for episode 280 of the All Systems
- 24:44Go Sports Betting podcast, Powered by Rhythm.
- 24:46Of course, this is the part of the pod where we wrap things up
- 24:50and I start off first by saying thank you.

- 29:22Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun down in Connecticut at the Encore in
- 29:25Boston or Plain Ridge Park Casino, R.E.M.
- 29:28Jam Springfield in my neck of the woods in Massachusetts, or
- 29:31by the Nash, the new Nashua Casino up in New Hampshire, or,
- 29:34of course, out in the desert where the true grinders get
- 29:37down. Or Billy Walters sends his
- 29:38number runners where the lowest juice possible is found at the
- 29:41South Point. Or sweat and sharp contrarian
- 29:43plays jumping in the stadium swimming pool.
- 29:45When you catch a big ticket at Circa, wherever it may be,
- 29:48you're going to walk up to me. You're going to show me a
- 29:50beautiful degrom burger. Incredible flashing of the
- 29:55leather. Leather in the outfield Texas
- 29:56Rangers pick from last night. Also, show me a Dodgers ticket.
- 30:00And it was pricey, but boy, what a great sweat when you win 19 to
- 30:032. Nothing better than that.
- 30:06First one's on me, next one's on you.
- 30:07Then we'll sweat some Friday night games at the Book.
- 30:10As always, guys. Two and one, one and two, three

- 30:15cold, whether we're up or down or just treading water and
- 30:18grinding, we always got to stick with it.
- 30:20Never get too high or too low. Continue to play the system
- 30:23matches and you guys know by now.
- 30:25Or if you don't, that's OK too. If you're new to the pod,
- 30:27welcome aboard. We're always playing the long
- 30:30game, bypassing games that don't fit the model, don't check off
- 30:33the boxes and getting down on the games that do, games that
- 30:36are against the public, with the house, with the pros, flat bet,
- 30:40avoid parlays and get that CLV. If we can do that long term,
- 30:44we're going to come out on top in the end.
- 30:46So hope everyone has a great Friday and even better weekend.
- 30:48Go Celtics. Let's get some winners on the
- 30:50MLB diamond again, Patriots win total.

- 30:57no podcast on the weekends, but you can still get my insights by
- 31:01reading the sharp reports that I write and tweet out every day
