- 0:49Speaker 2: I just keep thinking if they stick and pick at
- 0:51Speaker 2: twenty three, there's just no way that the you know,
- 0:54Speaker 2: the quote unquote best players on the board, and that
- 0:56Speaker 2: might not be Pheneman and McNeil Warren. And I wanted
- 0:59Speaker 2: to ask you, like, who schematically fits the Eagles more.
- 1:02Speaker 3: It's an interesting question because they're they're kind of built differently,
- 1:05Speaker 3: you know, because McNeil Warren is kind of long, lanky,
- 1:09Speaker 3: gumba ish, you know, he's he's a really interesting athlete.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Thinnerman is is. I mean, he's he's stockier looking, you know,
- 1:19Speaker 3: he's just the way he's built. I I think that
- 1:25Speaker 3: they would think, and again I'm trying to get into
- 1:27Speaker 3: the head of the Eagles and their scheme. I would
- 1:31Speaker 3: think Thinnermon would be more the guy that they'd want
- 1:34Speaker 3: because I think he'd be one of those guys that's
- 1:37Speaker 3: really steady as well as potentially I don't even want
- 1:41Speaker 3: to use the word spectacular, but you know, but that
- 1:44Speaker 3: has that does have big play elements to his game.
- 1:47Speaker 3: How do you define what's a first round draft pick
- 1:50Speaker 3: guy versus not being even the drift first round. I
- 1:52Speaker 3: think there's a lot of subjectivity in that. I would
- 1:55Speaker 3: say in a normal year, teams would tell you that
- 1:58Speaker 3: there's fifteen to eighteen players that they probably give first
- 2:01Speaker 3: round grades to. Now, it's not all the same fifteen
- 2:04Speaker 3: to eighteen obviously, because it's teams are they think about
- 2:07Speaker 3: it as far as their team and scheme as well,
- 2:10Speaker 3: because there's not fifteen transcendent players that are just automatically
- 2:15Speaker 3: first round picks. No matter what you know, there might
- 2:18Speaker 3: be five or six or seven of those guys that is, hey,
- 2:21Speaker 3: this guy's a first round pick. No matter what draft
- 2:23Speaker 3: were in, I would say this year and this is
- 2:27Speaker 3: this would be my opinion obviously, but I would say
- 2:30Speaker 3: that this year there might be ten to thirteen that
- 2:34Speaker 3: would be definite first round grade.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Like when you want a player you know exactly, Like,
- 2:39Speaker 4: can you take me through your process of watching a
- 2:42Speaker 4: player coming out and then evaluating him.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I have a sheet that has strengths, weaknesses, transition,
- 2:51Speaker 3: and other so as I watch, you know, I type
- 2:56Speaker 3: in things you know, and sometimes you can watch the
- 2:59Speaker 3: first game and you know, then you get to games two, three,
- 3:02Speaker 3: and four and you see something different, So you change
- 3:05Speaker 3: it as you go because obviously you have to see
- 3:09Speaker 3: the same things over and over again. And the more
- 3:12Speaker 3: you see the same things over and over again, that
- 3:14Speaker 3: defines the player. And that's why I try to watch,
- 3:18Speaker 3: and particularly with defensive players, because very often, depending on
- 3:22Speaker 3: the position, with defensive players, they don't necessarily have big stats,
- 3:26Speaker 3: like defensive tackles don't necessarily make a lot of tackles,
- 3:29Speaker 3: So you can't look at a stat sheet and decide,
- 3:32Speaker 3: you know, some of the best defensive tackle prospects might
- 3:35Speaker 3: have thirty tackles in an entire season. You can't just
- 3:38Speaker 3: watch those thirty plays defensive players, You've got to watch
- 3:42Speaker 3: full games. So I sit and I grind through and
- 3:45Speaker 3: watch full games of a team's defense, and that takes time,
- 3:49Speaker 3: and I try to watch five or six games of
- 3:51Speaker 3: all the defensive players. I watch receivers. It's a little different.
- 3:58Speaker 3: I start out with receivers by watching all their targets.
- 4:01Speaker 3: I just got one name for you, is their world.
- 4:04Speaker 4: What do you think?
- 4:05Speaker 3: Yeah, he got hurt this year, do you think that
- 4:09Speaker 3: would make him drop where his skills is so good
- 4:12Speaker 3: to keep them high. You know, I think he's got
- 4:16Speaker 3: good size, good length. I think his athleticism is plus
- 4:19Speaker 3: for sure. I think you know, he can pass protect
- 4:23Speaker 3: one on one. I think he's you know, being a
- 4:26Speaker 3: good athlete. He's got good knee bend, he's got good balance.
- 4:30Speaker 3: I think his lateral movement's good. I thought his run
- 4:34Speaker 3: blocking has gotten better because I watched him last summer too,
- 4:36Speaker 3: when he was actually at Nevada. So you know, he's
- 4:40Speaker 3: an interesting prospect. He's not gonna be a high pick,
- 4:43Speaker 3: just you know, for obvious reasons. He's coming off an
- 4:45Speaker 3: injury and he's not considered special. But you know he'll
- 4:50Speaker 3: get drafted. You know, guys like that, you just don't
- 4:52Speaker 3: you don't know when they're gonna get drafted. I mean,
- 4:54Speaker 3: you're dealing with a guy. I mean, he's a big man.
- 4:58Speaker 1: H Taylor.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Taylor Green, the quarterback.
- 5:02Speaker 5: He kind of reminds me. I listened to you everywhere
- 5:04Speaker 5: you go, and you know, I thought he would be
- 5:07Speaker 5: a guy that people want to talk about more, but
- 5:10Speaker 5: it doesn't seem like it. So I just wanted to
- 5:12Speaker 5: get your just like assessment of him as a quarterback,
- 5:15Speaker 5: as someone who can progress. He reminded me a lot,
- 5:18Speaker 5: just as college tape of and when this guy was
- 5:21Speaker 5: in college of Dak Prescott.
- 5:23Speaker 3: But I wanted to get like your assessment of him.
- 5:25Speaker 3: It's funny you mentioned him because I've been doing a
- 5:28Speaker 3: lot of thinking about the quarterback position and the way
- 5:30Speaker 3: people think about the position now on Yebo and just
- 5:34Speaker 3: before we get to Green, just you know, a little
- 5:36Speaker 3: general point. For some reason, I think that we've spent
- 5:43Speaker 3: so much time now on talking about what are perceived
- 5:46Speaker 3: as physical traits, and we think of those traits as
- 5:50Speaker 3: having a strong arm and being able to run around
- 5:53Speaker 3: as opposed to and we don't celebrate anymore, seemingly the
- 5:57Speaker 3: ability to play the position from the pocket. It the
- 6:00Speaker 3: right way, and by the way, that's a trait. You know.
- 6:04Speaker 3: So Green is a guy that is obviously a great athlete, okay,
- 6:09Speaker 3: but he's going to have to learn how to play
- 6:11Speaker 3: from the pocket at an appropriate NFL level, and that
- 6:14Speaker 3: makes him a work in progress. Now what's the balance there?
- 6:18Speaker 3: That's the question teams always have to decide. In other words,
- 6:21Speaker 3: if you draft him and he's not going to be
- 6:23Speaker 3: drafted in you know, in the first fifty. But if
- 6:26Speaker 3: you draft him and you decide he's your backup, uh,
- 6:29Speaker 3: and he has to go in the game, you know,
- 6:31Speaker 3: the question is what's he going to do for you? Now,
- 6:36Speaker 3: there's no question that defenses have to play differently, and
- 6:40Speaker 3: that's where he poses a problem because obviously he's a tremendous,
- 6:45Speaker 3: tremendous athlete. But his twenty twenty five tape was littered
- 6:50Speaker 3: with too many plays where he was slow processing. He
- 6:54Speaker 3: was a beat late with throws. Oddly enough, his delivery
- 6:57Speaker 3: there's no twitch to it. It's kind of slow, it's
- 7:00Speaker 3: a little bit elongated. But he's got this magnetic athletic ability.
- 7:06Speaker 3: So what is the balance? You know, the guys who
- 7:09Speaker 3: are pure pocket guys, if we want to put a
- 7:11Speaker 3: numerical number on it, those guys to play really well
- 7:14Speaker 3: have to be a nine or ten. Can a tail
- 7:17Speaker 3: in green be a five from the pocket and still
- 7:19Speaker 3: be a really good NFL quarterback because of the other elements.
- 7:23Speaker 4: How much stock is actually put into like these pro
- 7:26Speaker 4: days and the combine, Whereas like you know, I would
- 7:30Speaker 4: think that people will specifically focus on the tape that's
- 7:33Speaker 4: out there for these players.
- 7:35Speaker 3: I see guys who do this, you know, quote unquote
- 7:38Speaker 3: draft gurus who freaking change their their evaluations every week now,
- 7:43Speaker 3: So I mean, what, you know, these guys haven't played
- 7:45Speaker 3: football why because they spoke to a scout or a
- 7:48Speaker 3: GM who told them that, hey, we like this guy
- 7:50Speaker 3: more so now they say, oh, I've rewatched some tape
- 7:53Speaker 3: on this guy, so I've moved them up. It's just
- 7:55Speaker 3: because they talk to someone. These you know, the the
- 8:00Speaker 3: Pro days on the combine are team and organization specific.
- 8:04Speaker 3: But for the most part, the way teams look at
- 8:07Speaker 3: at evaluation is tape and the person. That's the way
- 8:12Speaker 3: most teams do it, you know. It's the other stuff
- 8:17Speaker 3: is more to make sure that there's not a red
- 8:22Speaker 3: flag or that there's something that's so incredibly positive that
- 8:27Speaker 3: it makes you think, oh, yeah, Wow, we really liked
- 8:29Speaker 3: his tape, and then look at this guy. Look at
- 8:32Speaker 3: the athletic testing measurables. They're great. That validates what we
- 8:35Speaker 3: saw on tape, but they use that more as validation
- 8:38Speaker 3: one way or the other. They don't use it as
- 8:41Speaker 3: the foundation.
- 8:42Speaker 6: He a Philly fans game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,
- 8:46Speaker 6: long lines, We've all been there, But when it comes
- 8:49Speaker 6: to your cannabis, Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is

- 9:37Speaker 6: great prices, and an experience made for Philly fans. Twenty
- 9:40Speaker 6: one and up.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Greg, I'm gonna stick in the secondary here because there's
- 9:43Speaker 2: a guy. If Eagles do stick and pick at twenty three,
- 9:46Speaker 2: which I did, I don't believe will happen, but if
- 9:48Speaker 2: they did, there's this kid from San Diego State who
- 9:50Speaker 2: I really like. I think he matches set. Yes, he
- 9:53Speaker 2: matches exactly the way that Avic Fangio would want a
- 9:57Speaker 2: corner to play.
- 9:57Speaker 3: He's a zone corner, you know what I mean.
- 9:59Speaker 2: I've watched him again. I'm a novice obviously, but from
- 10:02Speaker 2: what I see, he kind of reminds me a little
- 10:03Speaker 2: bit of Quenya Mitchley.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Yeah. I like Johnson. I watched five full games. He's
- 10:09Speaker 3: six feet plus one ninety three. Testing measurables were very good.
- 10:14Speaker 3: I thought he was. He played left corner for them
- 10:16Speaker 3: pretty much, so he's a solid outside corner prospect. He's
- 10:20Speaker 3: got really good length. He's very controlled and calculated with
- 10:24Speaker 3: his movement. He has extensive experience playing both man and zone,
- 10:28Speaker 3: more zone than man, and he plays it well. There's
- 10:31Speaker 3: a physical component to his game, which I really really
- 10:35Speaker 3: like he's an attitude corner. We know, Fanjoe would love
- 10:38Speaker 3: that he's competitive. He's got that outstanding playing personality. I
- 10:42Speaker 3: like Chris Johnson. The only concern is he's not necessarily
- 10:48Speaker 3: sudden or twitchy. And the question is, you know, he's
- 10:51Speaker 3: quicker than fast in the way in which he played
- 10:53Speaker 3: at times he didn't show recovery birth or accelerating speed,
- 10:57Speaker 3: so you have to decide what that means. I would
- 11:00Speaker 3: say that's probably the only thing that really stood out
- 11:04Speaker 3: to me in his you know, in his tape, you know,
- 11:09Speaker 3: is so he's a little I don't want to say
- 11:12Speaker 3: he's tight. He's not tight the way you think of tight.
- 11:16Speaker 3: But there's a lot to like about him. I think
- 11:18Speaker 3: he's just one of those guys that's a really solid prospect.
- 11:21Speaker 2: It feels like he's a high floor player, you know,
- 11:25Speaker 2: maybe not the highest ceiling, but a higher floor.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Yeah. The way in which he plays, I would have
- 11:31Speaker 3: to believe that he works at it because he plays smart,
- 11:34Speaker 3: you know. So again, sometimes you can tell that by
- 11:37Speaker 3: the way a guy plays that hey, he works at it,
- 11:40Speaker 3: he studies, you know. That's the way I kind of
- 11:42Speaker 3: felt watching him, that that he's very controlled, very calculated
- 11:46Speaker 3: that he understood, you know, he's a good prospect. He's
- 11:49Speaker 3: just not a special physical talent.
