Chapter 2 Fails - Why Jax Taylor should not be dating his publicist? · The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast

0:14
Speaker 1: Hey, I do Part two.
0:16
Speaker 2: It's your celebrity mentor Kathy Sports and I'm here today
0:20
Speaker 2: with my producer, Heather, and we are going to break
0:23
Speaker 2: down the headlines and there's a lot of them to
0:25
Speaker 2: talk about today. How are you doing, Heather.
0:27
Speaker 3: I'm good, Kathy. There is so much going on in
0:30
Speaker 3: the world of Part two. It makes me feel normal
0:34
Speaker 3: sometimes when I read these headlines.
0:37
Speaker 1: I am right with you. Should we just jump right
0:39
Speaker 1: into it?
0:40
Speaker 4: Yeah, let's jump into it.
0:41
Speaker 1: Okay.
0:42
Speaker 2: So Britney Cartwright is very upset after some cozy photos
0:47
Speaker 2: appeared of ex Jack Taylor and her former publicists.
0:52
Speaker 1: They were leaked.
0:53
Speaker 2: It's been close to two years since Britney filed for
0:56
Speaker 2: divorce from Jack's. They were married for four years, and
1:01
Speaker 2: six months after their separation, Vander Pump Rules alum Jack's
1:06
Speaker 2: is now dating, surprise, surprise, his publicist, Luri Krebs. Crebs
1:12
Speaker 2: was also The Valley Star Cartwright's publicist until the photos leaked.
1:18
Speaker 2: TMZ has published photos of Jack's with Crebs in Mexico
1:23
Speaker 2: on Monday, July thirteenth, and apparently this relationship has deeply
1:28
Speaker 2: developed over the past few months.
1:30
Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm shocked, but I'm not shocked, okay, when I
1:33
Speaker 3: see these photos, because Laurie and Jacks have always kind
1:37
Speaker 3: of had some weird, flirty, too little, too close kind
1:41
Speaker 3: of photos that they've posted together on the internet, and
1:44
Speaker 3: even like when he's been with Brittany, like since he's
1:47
Speaker 3: it's that's why it was like not when Jack's was single,
1:50
Speaker 3: Like these pictures were like throughout his marriage and relationships,
1:53
Speaker 3: so it was always a little too close I thought
1:56
Speaker 3: for a working relationship in terms of photos. I'm a
2:00
Speaker 3: little bit bug for Brittany in this. You know, it's
2:03
Speaker 3: just another way that Jacks has kind of jacked her. It's,
2:07
Speaker 3: you know, very typical Jack's behavior.
2:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, this isn't new for him.
2:12
Speaker 3: No, he's he's always kind of doing things that he's
2:17
Speaker 3: not supposed to be doing. But it's just hilarious because
2:20
Speaker 3: if anybody's watched The Valley, you know, when they were
2:23
Speaker 3: initially going through the beginning stages of their divorce, Jax
2:27
Speaker 3: was harping on Britney about the fact that the first
2:31
Speaker 3: guy she kind of dated hooked up with after they
2:34
Speaker 3: decided to split was somebody that Jax knew like a
2:38
Speaker 3: distant friend. So the fact that like he was so
2:41
Speaker 3: adamant about that. How horrible that was that Britney did
2:44
Speaker 3: that To then turn around and go get into a
2:48
Speaker 3: pseudo relationship with the woman that's been not only representing
2:51
Speaker 3: you for years but also your ex wife soon to
2:54
Speaker 3: be ex wife. It's just a little you know, Jax,
2:58
Speaker 3: Come on now, it's literally what you said was so
3:01
Speaker 3: upsetting to you a year ago.
3:03
Speaker 2: Yeah, well, you know, things change in a year. I
3:06
Speaker 2: feel the most sorry for their little five year old son, Cruise,
3:09
Speaker 2: because this stuff is playing out. People see it, people
3:13
Speaker 2: talk about it, and I'm with you, I'm not really
3:16
Speaker 2: surprised because it's it's part of how he's behaved in
3:19
Speaker 2: the past, and I'm not really shocked that when you
3:22
Speaker 2: have that kind of triangle, you know, publicist for both
3:25
Speaker 2: of them and close relationship, I'm not shocked that somebody
3:29
Speaker 2: crossed the line.
3:29
Speaker 1: I'm really not.
3:31
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's very typical. But we'll have to see
3:34
Speaker 3: how this kind of continues to unfold, because definitely, uh,
3:39
Speaker 3: Britney no longer is using this publicist as to what's
3:42
Speaker 3: being reported right now. Okay, moving on, Crystal Harris says
3:47
Speaker 3: she regrets marrying Hugh Hefner and that she forgot her
3:51
Speaker 3: own worth to fit into his life. Now, everybody kind
3:55
Speaker 3: of remembers that Krystal Hefner married Hugh Hefner not long
4:00
Speaker 3: before he passed.
4:01
Speaker 4: People probably won't remember this, though.
4:04
Speaker 3: That they were engaged before that, and she actually left
4:10
Speaker 3: him like a couple of days before their set wedding,
4:14
Speaker 3: and she left him and got into a relationship with
4:18
Speaker 3: doctor Phil's son, and that's who she was with for
4:21
Speaker 3: a minute.
4:22
Speaker 4: Now, why do I remember this? Oh?
4:24
Speaker 3: I remember this because my roommate at the time was
4:27
Speaker 3: the publicist for the Playboy Mansion. So when this was
4:30
Speaker 3: all playing out, we were talking about this in our
4:33
Speaker 3: kitchen at night. So that's how it's embedded in my brain.
4:37
Speaker 3: But probably a lot of people have forgotten this. So
4:39
Speaker 3: Crystal then after some time, got out of that relationship,
4:43
Speaker 3: went back to hef and then they got married, and
4:47
Speaker 3: then heff passed away, leaving her a very young widow.
4:52
Speaker 3: Since then, Crystal has gone on and got married, but
4:56
Speaker 3: she recently was sharing, you know, on social media a
4:59
Speaker 3: little bit. In a video on Instagram on Tuesday, she
5:03
Speaker 3: explained why she regrets marrying the late Playboy founder, adding
5:07
Speaker 3: that she regrets the version of myself that she abandoned
5:11
Speaker 3: to survive in that environment. So they tied the knot
5:14
Speaker 3: in twenty twelve and remain married until he died in
5:17
Speaker 3: twenty seventeen, when he was ninety one years old. And
5:21
Speaker 3: then Krystal went on, like I said, to marry James
5:23
Speaker 3: Ward this April. She said in the Instagram video. Do
5:28
Speaker 3: I regret marrying Hugh Hefner. Of course I do, and
5:31
Speaker 3: that's not because of where it brought me. I'm grateful
5:34
Speaker 3: for the woman I became on the other side of it,
5:37
Speaker 3: But yes, I regret it. I regret being in my
5:41
Speaker 3: mid twenties and thinking that marrying one of the most
5:44
Speaker 3: famous men in the world meant that I had finally
5:46
Speaker 3: made it, that I finally mattered or had value. I
5:50
Speaker 3: regret the years I spent making myself smaller so his
5:53
Speaker 3: world could feel bigger. She went on to say, I
5:57
Speaker 3: regret the version of myself that I had to aband
6:00
Speaker 3: just to survive in that environment. I regret that it
6:03
Speaker 3: took me as long as it did to understand what
6:05
Speaker 3: was actually happening, like years, And I think a lot
6:09
Speaker 3: of people expected me to never say that out loud,
6:13
Speaker 3: to stay in the story that was written for me,
6:16
Speaker 3: the grateful young wife and lucky girl. She added, however,
6:20
Speaker 3: she is done living in that version of the story.
6:24
Speaker 3: She explained that she regrets the marriage and that saying
6:27
Speaker 3: that out loud is one of the most honest things
6:30
Speaker 3: she has ever done. She says, telling my truth for
6:32
Speaker 3: my younger self and for anyone who's ever forgotten their worth,
6:36
Speaker 3: trying to find trying to fit into someone else's story. So,
6:41
Speaker 3: you know, and she wrote a book, a memoir called
6:44
Speaker 3: Only Say Good Things, Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself.
6:48
Speaker 4: I don't know if you've been like.
6:50
Speaker 3: In the loop a lot on this Playboy stuff that's
6:52
Speaker 3: come out in the last couple of years. This is
6:54
Speaker 3: not new information that we're hearing from a lot of
6:57
Speaker 3: HEF's former girlfriends, whether they were long term or not.
7:01
Speaker 3: They've all kind of started to say the same thing. So,
7:06
Speaker 3: you know, we're obviously very happy for her that she
7:09
Speaker 3: has found some you know, better connection. In her chapter two,
7:14
Speaker 3: it sounds like when I read comments like this that
7:17
Speaker 3: people are making, it sounds to me like somebody's really
7:20
Speaker 3: doing the work. Somebody's probably in therapy, really starting to
7:24
Speaker 3: unpack some things. Because as much as I think that
7:27
Speaker 3: that's sad that she's looking back on a past relationship
7:30
Speaker 3: with regret. I can't say that I don't myself understand
7:35
Speaker 3: those feelings, because I do.
7:38
Speaker 2: Yeah, I I'll probably take some heat for this. I
7:42
Speaker 2: agree with what you're saying, But just to play devil's
7:44
Speaker 2: advocate for a minute, she stayed married to him until
7:48
Speaker 2: he died, and so I have to wonder if if
7:54
Speaker 2: she in the moment, she gleaned all the rewards of
8:00
Speaker 2: being in the in the mansion, in the playboy mansion,
8:03
Speaker 2: being married to him, and then subsequently now realizes and
8:08
Speaker 2: is if you will unpacking that baggage she took with her.
8:12
Speaker 2: I'm glad for her, but I think she was young
8:16
Speaker 2: when she married him, and I think life itself has
8:19
Speaker 2: taught her lessons.
8:20
Speaker 1: I don't know.
8:22
Speaker 2: It's so foreign to me to imagine marrying someone that
8:27
Speaker 2: age and doing all the things that went along with
8:30
Speaker 2: being married to be one of HEF's girls. I can't
8:34
Speaker 2: even imagine it. I do find it interesting, though, when
8:37
Speaker 2: she married her newest husband, James Ward, she says that
8:41
Speaker 2: they had this quiet ceremony. They prioritize simplicity and an
8:48
Speaker 2: intimacy with no guests, and all I could think of
8:51
Speaker 2: is that is really going from one extreme to the other. Obviously,
8:56
Speaker 2: I wish her all the best in her in her
8:58
Speaker 2: new relationship, but Hugh Hefner was a magnet for years,
9:04
Speaker 2: and so I just wonder whether I'm not sure she
9:08
Speaker 2: fit into his story as much as all those women
9:11
Speaker 2: fit into the story of the of the Playboy Mansion.
9:16
Speaker 3: Just based on the things that I've watched, the documentaries
9:18
Speaker 3: and the specials and stuff that have come out in
9:20
Speaker 3: recent years, I think that maybe reading into this a
9:24
Speaker 3: little bit the word regret it, I don't think she
9:27
Speaker 3: actually gleaned that much from that marriage. I think that
9:30
Speaker 3: he reportedly was not in great financial wealth towards the
9:37
Speaker 3: end of his life. I know that he actually had
9:39
Speaker 3: to sell that Playboy mansion before he died and not
9:44
Speaker 3: like give it to his children or anything like that.
9:47
Speaker 3: And part of the agreement in the sale was that
9:49
Speaker 3: he got to live the remainder of his years at
9:53
Speaker 3: the mansion. They've also talked about, you know, in these
9:55
Speaker 3: specials that the mansion was really in disrepair, was like
9:58
Speaker 3: really kind of gross inside.
10:01
Speaker 2: I didn't necessarily mean financial remuneration.
10:03
Speaker 4: But maybe that is part of the regret.
10:05
Speaker 3: Maybe she didn't know the financial possibilities of what she
10:11
Speaker 3: was going to get in this situation.
10:14
Speaker 4: Maybe she was led astray. We don't know.
10:16
Speaker 3: But what I notice when I read comments like that
10:20
Speaker 3: is there's no expression of love. There's no expression of
10:28
Speaker 3: I loved this man, or he taught me so much,
10:31
Speaker 3: or I miss our connection. There's no speak of that.
10:34
Speaker 3: It's her own personal experience. So who's to say. We'd
10:39
Speaker 3: obviously love Crystal to come on the podcast and share
10:42
Speaker 3: her experience and her journey to I do Part two
10:45
Speaker 3: for sure, And.
10:46
Speaker 2: You know what, I truly hope her Part two with
10:49
Speaker 2: her new husband is the best beautiful marriage.
10:53
Speaker 4: I do too.
10:54
Speaker 2: And you know what, we all deserve love. Hobbiy Hantsaf
10:56
Speaker 2: said that, So yeah, I really am wishing her love
10:59
Speaker 2: to happen. Okay, let's move on our next news item. Here,
11:04
Speaker 2: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter is Zahara and Sun
11:08
Speaker 2: Maddox publish a newspaper announcement they are dropping Pitt from
11:14
Speaker 2: their names. Angelina and Brad's daughter, Zahara and Maddox Sun
11:20
Speaker 2: Maddocks have taken the next step towards dropping Pit from
11:23
Speaker 2: their names. According to court documents attained by People, the
11:27
Speaker 2: twenty one year old and the twenty four year old
11:30
Speaker 2: now both have proof of publication confirming their intent to
11:34
Speaker 2: change their name. The two each published a legal notice
11:38
Speaker 2: in the Los Angeles Daily Journal in accordance with California law.
11:42
Speaker 2: Zahara published hers on Thursday, July ninth, while Maddox published
11:46
Speaker 2: his on Tuesday July seventh. Sahara is requesting that her
11:50
Speaker 2: full legal name now be Zahara Marley Jolee, while Maddox
11:56
Speaker 2: is requesting his full legal name now be Maddox On Jolie.
12:01
Speaker 2: The requests are yet to be granted, but the next
12:04
Speaker 2: step is a hearing. Zahara's hearing has been scheduled for
12:07
Speaker 2: September twenty eighth, and Maddox's is September fourteenth. Jolie's representative
12:13
Speaker 2: has not responded to People at press time, but in
12:17
Speaker 2: twenty twenty four a source told People that Pitt has
12:21
Speaker 2: virtually no contact with his adult children. At the time,
12:27
Speaker 2: he still had visitation with his younger kids, but they
12:29
Speaker 2: have since become legal adults. That's the question I have
12:33
Speaker 2: right there. How much visitation did he have?
12:39
Speaker 3: Well? I think that this right, This declaration of changing
12:44
Speaker 3: of the last name, I think is a big deal.
12:46
Speaker 3: I think that these kids are kids, I mean they're
12:50
Speaker 3: adults now, these young adults are really drawing a line
12:53
Speaker 3: in the sand as to how they want to be
12:56
Speaker 3: represented as public figures moving into the arts and enter
12:59
Speaker 3: team areas that they're moving into. But it just kind
13:03
Speaker 3: of I think lends to the rumor that something happened
13:08
Speaker 3: a few years ago on the plane between Brad and
13:13
Speaker 3: you know, one of his children that was unsettling, and
13:18
Speaker 3: we do know. I think it's it's been reported that
13:21
Speaker 3: Brad has given up alcohol in the recent years.
13:24
Speaker 2: So apparently his team has said that this is a
13:28
Speaker 2: result of a prolonged campaign of alienation of children against
13:32
Speaker 2: their parent, and that was a close source to Pitt,
13:36
Speaker 2: who is sixty two, tells people it is an incredibly
13:40
Speaker 2: sad reality, but it's not surprising after years of one
13:45
Speaker 2: parent weaponizing the children against the other with no regard
13:49
Speaker 2: of the consequences. Now that all came from Brad Pitt's team,
13:53
Speaker 2: but we have to wonder, like you said, what else
13:56
Speaker 2: went on, not just what happened on that on the airplane.
14:01
Speaker 1: The fact he gave a alcohol.
14:02
Speaker 2: The fact is we haven't seen firsthand what's gone on
14:07
Speaker 2: in that family, and so.
14:10
Speaker 1: We don't really know.
14:12
Speaker 2: The children are adults now, so maybe it's just an
14:16
Speaker 2: accumulation of events that has made them do this. It's sad,
14:20
Speaker 2: but at the same time, their public figures and they
14:23
Speaker 2: have a right to have the name they.
14:25
Speaker 3: Want, absolutely and I think that you know, we never
14:30
Speaker 3: heard about there being some sort of positive co parenting
14:35
Speaker 3: experience in this relationship when it started to break up.
14:39
Speaker 3: You know, Brad seems to be happy in another relationship
14:42
Speaker 3: now where he's been spotted publicly a lot. It just
14:47
Speaker 3: kind of makes me sad because if we all go
14:51
Speaker 3: back in our brains, you know, allegedly this relationship with
14:57
Speaker 3: Angelina started when he was is still married to Jennifer Aniston,
15:03
Speaker 3: so you know, to have ended that marriage for this
15:09
Speaker 3: relationship and then been so public and you know, expanded
15:14
Speaker 3: this family, only for this relationship to then also end
15:19
Speaker 3: in a very tragic way to where you're not even
15:22
Speaker 3: having allegedly a relationship with these children.
15:26
Speaker 4: It's like, was it all worth?
15:30
Speaker 3: It is kind of like what I would be thinking,
15:32
Speaker 3: you know, if I was in that situation.
15:35
Speaker 1: Yeah, I absolutely agree with you.
15:37
Speaker 2: It's the name change to me, represents a much bigger
15:42
Speaker 2: issue and that you just put your finger on it.
15:45
Speaker 2: What happened that all these children do not have a
15:49
Speaker 2: relationship with their dad. I can't personally imagine having children
15:55
Speaker 2: that aren't in my life.
15:57
Speaker 3: And yet, well, let's also remember that some of these
16:00
Speaker 3: children Angelina had prior to their relationship, She had adopted
16:05
Speaker 3: prior to But they were, But they were he was.
16:07
Speaker 2: Raising them, That's what I'm saying. It doesn't to me,
16:10
Speaker 2: that's inconsequential. He was raising them. They were a family unit.
16:14
Speaker 2: They were parenting these kids. So I think the tragedy
16:18
Speaker 2: here is not so much the name change.
16:21
Speaker 1: I mean, look at me. I got married, I changed
16:23
Speaker 1: my name. How many women do? I think the.
16:26
Speaker 2: Real tragedy here is the loss of whether you get
16:31
Speaker 2: divorced or not, the loss of a cohesive family unit
16:34
Speaker 2: where there's respect and love even if you choose not
16:36
Speaker 2: to be married.
16:37
Speaker 1: That's the settest part for me.
16:39
Speaker 3: Yeah, and we know that Brad has been able to
16:43
Speaker 3: maintain a relationship with his ex Jennifer Aniston, even though
16:48
Speaker 3: they didn't have children. We have seen them be super
16:51
Speaker 3: cordial to each other, not only on red carpets, but
16:55
Speaker 3: he's been a guest at her birthday party in recent years,
16:59
Speaker 3: you know, So those two have been able to come
17:02
Speaker 3: back from whatever it was that they went through, the
17:05
Speaker 3: you know, the onslaught of all that press and negativity
17:09
Speaker 3: and everything that they went through, and they've been able
17:11
Speaker 3: to come out on the other side and maintain a
17:13
Speaker 3: relationship because I think there was so much love there.
17:16
Speaker 3: So it's kind of sad to see that him and
17:19
Speaker 3: Angelina have not been able to get there. It looks
17:22
Speaker 3: like on their own maybe they will someday, though.
17:26
Speaker 1: Maybe they will.
17:27
Speaker 2: And also the only the other differences Angelina, I mean, sorry,
17:31
Speaker 2: Brad and Jennifer Aniston did not have children, and we
17:34
Speaker 2: don't and we don't know, We don't know that maybe
17:38
Speaker 2: these kids have come to this conclusion on their own,
17:42
Speaker 2: whether it's supported by Angelina, probably, but I think that
17:46
Speaker 2: that's the saddest part. These kids are adults now and
17:49
Speaker 2: they're losing out on a great relationship with their dad.
17:53
Speaker 4: Well, we don't know if it's a great relationship.
17:55
Speaker 2: No, I said, they're losing out on what could have
17:57
Speaker 2: been a great relationship.
17:59
Speaker 3: Yeah, And I I want to say though, that you
18:02
Speaker 3: can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family, right.
18:04
Speaker 3: That's what I always used to hear growing up, and
18:08
Speaker 3: the older that I've gotten, I have realized that just
18:12
Speaker 3: because somebody is family does not mean that I need
18:16
Speaker 3: to maintain a super close relationship with them. It means
18:21
Speaker 3: that I can have distance and I can still recognize
18:24
Speaker 3: that they are family, but that they don't get full
18:28
Speaker 3: access to my life. That I don't put a gazillion
18:31
Speaker 3: tons of effort into it because they don't put a
18:34
Speaker 3: gazillion tons of effort into it, you know. So that's
18:37
Speaker 3: something that you do realize. I think the older that
18:39
Speaker 3: you get, is it unfortunate?
18:41
Speaker 1: Sure? Is it?
18:43
Speaker 4: If it's what's.
18:43
Speaker 3: Best for them, then I think it's it's to be supported.
18:57
Speaker 4: Moving on.
18:57
Speaker 3: This is also kind of sad in the child custody situation,
19:01
Speaker 3: but Gleb, professional dancer from Dancing with the Stars, he
19:05
Speaker 3: filed an emergency child custody order claiming that his ex Elena,
19:10
Speaker 3: kept daughters in Hong Kong without his permission. So it
19:14
Speaker 3: says that Gleb has filed a request for an emergency
19:17
Speaker 3: to Gleb has filed a request for an emergency child
19:21
Speaker 3: custody order. According to court documents obtained by People, the
19:25
Speaker 3: Dancing with the Stars pro requested temporary, sole, legal and
19:29
Speaker 3: physical custody of his and his ex wife, Elena's fifteen
19:32
Speaker 3: year old daughter Olivia, and asked that his ex have
19:36
Speaker 3: no visitation under further court involvement.
19:41
Speaker 4: So Gleb claimed.
19:43
Speaker 3: That Elena, with whom he also shares daughter Zlata, who's
19:48
Speaker 3: eight years old. He says that she relocated their girls
19:52
Speaker 3: to Hong Kong for what was supposed to be a
19:54
Speaker 3: temporary move following their divorce in twenty twenty three, adding
19:59
Speaker 3: that she refused used to return to the United States
20:02
Speaker 3: by the agreed upon date. His team claims instead, she
20:06
Speaker 3: has remained in Hong Kong, obtained permanent Hong Kong residency,
20:11
Speaker 3: enrolled the children in a expensive private school, and gotten
20:15
Speaker 3: the children a cat. She's become engaged and had another
20:19
Speaker 3: child with her fiancee. Elena has essentially established her life
20:25
Speaker 3: with her fiance and our children. This is coming from Gleb,
20:29
Speaker 3: he claims, in Hong Kong without my permission, that they
20:33
Speaker 3: remain with her in Hong Kong. This has functionally forced
20:37
Speaker 3: me to travel to Hong Kong each year to visit
20:39
Speaker 3: the children, which I have consistently done despite Elena's efforts
20:43
Speaker 3: taken to drastically limit my access to our daughters, he continued.
20:48
Speaker 3: According to the filing, the former couple has been ordered
20:52
Speaker 3: to attend a custody mediation on August fifth. Gleb also
20:57
Speaker 3: claimed that Olivia is currently with him doesn't want to
21:00
Speaker 3: live in Hong Kong. He claimed that it's the teen's
21:03
Speaker 3: best interest to remain with her in her father's care
21:06
Speaker 3: and be permitted to attend school in Los Angeles. Olivia
21:10
Speaker 3: does not want to be in the position of having
21:12
Speaker 3: to confront her mother, considering Elena's recent abusive comments to
21:17
Speaker 3: our daughter, including that she is a disgrace to the family,
21:21
Speaker 3: with other disparaging comments. So it goes on and on,
21:24
Speaker 3: and basically his excess something to the effect of, like
21:28
Speaker 3: that the daughter has a routine in Hong Kong and
21:30
Speaker 3: this is going to like derail her professional dance career.
21:34
Speaker 4: YadA, YadA, YadA. This is sad. This is also very sad.
21:38
Speaker 2: It's very sad, But you know, it's interesting that Elena
21:42
Speaker 2: is insisting that Hong Kong is the girl's permanent home
21:46
Speaker 2: and that he is keeping the daughter in California and
21:54
Speaker 2: canceled her flight back to China. And I just find
21:56
Speaker 2: that so interesting that she moved them there. And you know,
22:01
Speaker 2: this is you hear these stories all the time where
22:04
Speaker 2: one parent takes a child out of the country never
22:07
Speaker 2: to be seen again, or in this case, you know,
22:12
Speaker 2: quite the flight to go visit your children. I don't understand.
22:19
Speaker 2: I'm not a lawyer, I'm not an attorney, I'm not
22:21
Speaker 2: a family law person, but it seems unclear to me
22:24
Speaker 2: how either parent can take a child away from the
22:29
Speaker 2: other parent and move to another country without granting the
22:33
Speaker 2: other parent getting the agreement from the other parents.
22:36
Speaker 1: So I don't even.
22:37
Speaker 2: Understand how that's how this has happened. I think it's
22:40
Speaker 2: incredibly sad and frankly, very unfair to the children.
22:45
Speaker 3: Yeah, and it sounds like his ex has started a
22:48
Speaker 3: completely new life in this country. So it was you know,
22:52
Speaker 3: she's got a fiance, she's got another child with this person,
22:56
Speaker 3: and we obviously know that he spends a lot of
22:58
Speaker 3: his time in the United States on a TV show
23:01
Speaker 3: and then you know, Dancing with the Stars goes on
23:03
Speaker 3: tour after the show is done. So yeah, this sounds
23:09
Speaker 3: really unfortunate and confusing. I have no idea, like you,
23:12
Speaker 3: how this could even you know, be done. But there's
23:15
Speaker 3: been other cases too. This is not the same, but
23:18
Speaker 3: like actress Kelly Rutherford's kids were taken overseas for a
23:22
Speaker 3: really long time and she ended up having to, I believe,
23:25
Speaker 3: go overseas and like relocate, and so I don't know
23:29
Speaker 3: how this happens, but it sounds really horrific.
23:33
Speaker 2: It's and it's even more bizarre because Gleb himself holds
23:37
Speaker 2: a permanent resident card, so the fact that he could
23:42
Speaker 2: live there every once, to your point, he has a
23:44
Speaker 2: career here. Somebody is talking about wrongful international retention. Elaineas
23:51
Speaker 2: saying that that his filing was a rushed attempt to
23:57
Speaker 2: bypass proper laws. It seems that her moving to Hong
24:02
Speaker 2: Kong was a way to circumvent the law, and now
24:06
Speaker 2: he's holding her in California.
24:09
Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know.
24:10
Speaker 2: I think that somebody needs to get a hold of
24:12
Speaker 2: those kids and do an evaluation. And I don't sure
24:16
Speaker 2: Landa's moved to Hong Kong and has another child and
24:19
Speaker 2: the girls have a cat. Let's not forget that. But
24:22
Speaker 2: I'm not sure that that's necessarily in their best interest.
24:25
Speaker 2: And I can't believe that the government is not getting
24:29
Speaker 2: involved one way or the other, because it seems that
24:32
Speaker 2: international law is somehow indicated here.
24:35
Speaker 1: There has to be some ruling on it.
24:37
Speaker 3: Well, I guess we'll have to keep following this one
24:39
Speaker 3: when they have this court hearing. In Happier News, Yes,
24:45
Speaker 3: Josh Lucas says he's deeply grateful for wife Brianna Ruffalo
24:49
Speaker 3: as they celebrate their first wedding anniversary.
24:51
Speaker 4: Do you remember who Josh Lucas is.
24:53
Speaker 3: I know him from being in Sweet Home, Alabama with
24:55
Speaker 3: Reese Witherspoon, do.
24:56
Speaker 1: You yes, yes, yes, I do?
24:58
Speaker 3: So cute and that's a movie based onto Do you
25:00
Speaker 3: remember that? The premise is like, she needs to get
25:04
Speaker 3: married to Patrick Dempsey and then she forgets that she's
25:08
Speaker 3: still married to the guy she kind of grew up
25:11
Speaker 3: with back home in Alabama, So she's got to go
25:14
Speaker 3: back and get a divorce. So Josh Lucas, this is
25:18
Speaker 3: his I do part too. Brianna is his second wife.
25:22
Speaker 3: So he actually has a teenage son, Noah, with his
25:26
Speaker 3: ex Jessica Enriquez, and so he was recently though posting
25:32
Speaker 3: about his one year wedding anniversary with Brianna. Uh, the
25:36
Speaker 3: actor fifty five and the meteorologist. Yeah, uh, that's pretty cool.
25:41
Speaker 3: Tied the knot last year at the Vatican. The couple
25:44
Speaker 3: marked one year of marriage on Tuesday this week with
25:47
Speaker 3: heartfelt posts on social media. He said, one year ago today,
25:51
Speaker 3: I am so deeply grateful. I love you, Brianna. Happy anniversary,
25:55
Speaker 3: and then he put like six photos of the couple
25:57
Speaker 3: on their special day, including a close up shot of
25:59
Speaker 3: their wedding rings at the altar. When they announced their
26:05
Speaker 3: you know, engagement originally the after their dream ceremony last summer.
26:09
Speaker 3: Josh first shared black and white photos on Instagram, announcing
26:14
Speaker 3: the news on July seventeenth, twenty twenty five, tagging the
26:17
Speaker 3: location as the Vatican. The snapshots from the Rome, Italy
26:21
Speaker 3: enclave showed him and his wife staring at each other,
26:24
Speaker 3: sharing a kiss, and walking out of their wedding holding hands.
26:28
Speaker 4: So I think this is so sweet.
26:30
Speaker 3: You know, they seem to be a very lovey dovey
26:32
Speaker 3: couple and like love to kind of share on social
26:35
Speaker 3: media their thoughts on each other.
26:38
Speaker 4: And I think that's great.
26:40
Speaker 3: It does show that, you know, you can find some
26:42
Speaker 3: great love in this chapter two after you know, divorce
26:46
Speaker 3: And let.
26:46
Speaker 2: Me just say, if they were married at the Vatican
26:50
Speaker 2: in Vatican City, I'm guessing this is a permanent relationship.
26:54
Speaker 2: To undo that one would be a little complicated.
26:58
Speaker 4: This is the other thing I know about Josh Ucas.
27:01
Speaker 3: J Loo has said he was her best on screen
27:06
Speaker 3: kiss of all time.
27:08
Speaker 1: Wow, isn't that crazy? Don't you go?
27:10
Speaker 4: It's weird the stuff that I have embedded in the brain.
27:14
Speaker 3: But I believe she said that they actually did a
27:19
Speaker 3: kiss scene.
27:20
Speaker 4: And I want to say it.
27:21
Speaker 3: Either was cut from the movie or like it was
27:26
Speaker 3: in a movie that nobody saw. I can't remember that part,
27:29
Speaker 3: but I remember her claiming on Watch what Happens Live
27:34
Speaker 3: on Andy Cohen's show that it was like it like
27:37
Speaker 3: really like she felt something like when he kissed her.
27:40
Speaker 3: And then they of course talked to him about it
27:43
Speaker 3: when he came on the next time, and I think he.
27:45
Speaker 4: Was like really bashful about it. But that's all I know.
27:48
Speaker 3: If like Jaylo has been around and kissed a lot
27:50
Speaker 3: of guys on screen, she's I mean, she's kissed Matthew McConaughey.
27:55
Speaker 2: You know, Like I lived near Matthew McConaughey, So you know,
27:58
Speaker 2: all right, maybe on going for a kissed. Unfortunately, our
28:11
Speaker 2: next one is not so happy. So Tom Segura hinted
28:19
Speaker 2: at christina divorce and here we go. He is hinting
28:25
Speaker 2: at is split from his wife, Christina Pazziski by ditching
28:29
Speaker 2: his wedding ring during his latest podcast episode. He ditched
28:34
Speaker 2: the ring for Monday's episode of his Two Bears, One
28:37
Speaker 2: Cave podcast that he co hosts with his pal Bert Kreischer.
28:41
Speaker 2: The hour long episode aired the same day as Segura
28:45
Speaker 2: and paziski separation news came out. Segura had his wedding
28:49
Speaker 2: ring during all his prior podcasts, but not.
28:53
Speaker 1: Now, so here we go.
28:54
Speaker 2: According to TMZ, they've separated within the last couple of
28:58
Speaker 2: months after eighteen of marriage. It's sad that they have
29:03
Speaker 2: two kids, Ellis who was born in twenty sixteen and
29:06
Speaker 2: Julian born in twenty eighteen, so these are young kids.
29:11
Speaker 1: Again.
29:13
Speaker 2: It's just it's just more breakup of families in the public,
29:19
Speaker 2: and it's just, uh, it's tough.
29:22
Speaker 1: It's tough.
29:23
Speaker 3: Well, these two they actually founded the Your Mom's House
29:28
Speaker 3: podcast and network, which debuted in twenty twelve, and they
29:34
Speaker 3: they haven't filmed an episode of Your Mom's House together since.
29:37
Speaker 1: April, and yet they're still going to co host.
29:40
Speaker 4: And they're going to continue to co host. Can you imagine?
29:43
Speaker 4: That's that? To me, that kind of says a lot.
29:47
Speaker 3: So I think that not all couples, if the divorce
29:53
Speaker 3: is super contentious, would continue to work together. So it
29:57
Speaker 3: makes me think that maybe this was a long time coming,
30:01
Speaker 3: Maybe this was very mutual, Maybe there's still a very
30:05
Speaker 3: high regard set for each other, because I can't imagine
30:09
Speaker 3: two people continuing whether the business is successful or not,
30:13
Speaker 3: it's a forward facing business, being on camera together, chit
30:17
Speaker 3: chatting together. I can't imagine a contentious divorce couple continuing
30:21
Speaker 3: to do that kind of work. So I think that's
30:24
Speaker 3: a little bit hopeful. You know that they are going
30:26
Speaker 3: to be able to continue on I don't think that
30:29
Speaker 3: they're going to be able to get through this without
30:31
Speaker 3: talking about it together on their show.
30:33
Speaker 4: So that's, you know, something that I think we'll have
30:35
Speaker 4: to see.
30:36
Speaker 2: Yeah, Apparently a source said that they are taking different
30:41
Speaker 2: paths moving forward while they're remaining devoted to the children,
30:45
Speaker 2: So I think you're right.
30:46
Speaker 3: Yeah, that is so vague and I literally no true meaning,
30:51
Speaker 3: like what their different paths are.
30:54
Speaker 1: What.
30:55
Speaker 2: Well, I don't think it matters what the different paths
30:57
Speaker 2: are as long as they are being the children out
31:01
Speaker 2: of the fray. And I think that's what they're trying
31:03
Speaker 2: to do. And I applaud I personally applaud that. As
31:06
Speaker 2: my parents were divorced and it was the War of
31:08
Speaker 2: the Roses, Do you think.
31:09
Speaker 4: That anybody's really able to do that?
31:11
Speaker 3: I mean, I truly, I mean I've not been married
31:15
Speaker 3: or divorced, but I am the product of divorce.
31:17
Speaker 4: I've also watched my sibling get divorced.
31:20
Speaker 2: I'm also in the product of divorce and my parents
31:23
Speaker 2: I was like the War of the Roses, but I've
31:26
Speaker 2: had a sibling who's divorced, and you know, it's it's fine.
31:32
Speaker 2: I mean, they parented the kids well together. I think
31:34
Speaker 2: that's very different, at least publicly, they're going to try
31:39
Speaker 2: to do it, and I think it's I think it's
31:41
Speaker 2: a huge ordeal to say we're going to do this
31:44
Speaker 2: podcast together, we're going to put our children first. But
31:47
Speaker 2: I think it's positive. I'm going to hope for the
31:49
Speaker 2: best on it.
31:50
Speaker 3: Yeah, obviously positive and hope for the best. I just
31:53
Speaker 3: don't think, I mean, is me being jaded. I just
31:57
Speaker 3: don't think you can go through divorce and it not
32:00
Speaker 3: impact your kids to some extent where human beings, at
32:03
Speaker 3: the end of the day, you took vows with somebody
32:06
Speaker 3: for better or for worse, till death do us.
32:08
Speaker 1: Part, or until I find someone I like better exactly.
32:12
Speaker 3: And so I just I don't feel the mutual thing.
32:15
Speaker 3: When I hear people break up and it's mutual. When
32:18
Speaker 3: I hear people divorce and it's mutual, I don't believe it.
32:22
Speaker 4: That's just me.
32:23
Speaker 3: I think that one person initiates, one person wants it more.
32:27
Speaker 4: Can I believe that two people are.
32:29
Speaker 3: Upset when you know it happens, Yes, But do I
32:33
Speaker 3: think that both people sit together, come to a table
32:36
Speaker 3: and go we should divorce.
32:37
Speaker 4: Yeah, you're right, we should.
32:38
Speaker 3: I just don't think that that actually happens, and I
32:41
Speaker 3: think that it's really after especially that long together, eighteen
32:46
Speaker 3: years of marriage, I find it highly improbable that you
32:52
Speaker 3: are never saying something bad about your ex ever in
32:57
Speaker 3: front of your children.
32:59
Speaker 1: I don't disagree with.
33:00
Speaker 2: You, Heather, but I do think that if they're starting
33:03
Speaker 2: from the premise of we're going to be civil human beings.
33:07
Speaker 2: That beats that beats the you know, the opposite that
33:11
Speaker 2: we're just trashing each other.
33:13
Speaker 1: And remember, these people are.
33:14
Speaker 2: In the public eye, so if they're going to try
33:18
Speaker 2: to be civil to one another, I applaud it.
33:20
Speaker 1: I hope it continues exactly.
33:23
Speaker 4: We'll have to watch that one unfold.
33:25
Speaker 2: Heather, can you believe that we have more stories to
33:29
Speaker 2: get through. Let's just take a quick pause here and
33:32
Speaker 2: then we'll get right back into it with some more
33:34
Speaker 2: of these stories.
