- 0:24Speaker 3: Barrows here too good morning.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Good morning good that song and wharfie time just comes back.
- 0:32Speaker 3: How good how good is it it's very good uh
- 0:37Speaker 3: we played it very loud in here even though you're
- 0:39Speaker 3: not with us how are you.
- 0:41Speaker 1: I'm very good very good i'll be uh very excited
- 0:46Speaker 1: it's quick turnaround this week which is exciting and we
- 0:48Speaker 1: uh we head off to sydney today so um Yeah,
- 0:52Speaker 1: super proud of the performance on the weekend and, yeah,
- 0:54Speaker 1: excited to get into it this week.
- 0:56Speaker 2: As you should be.
- 0:57Speaker 3: What a game.
- 0:58Speaker 2: I heard one of your teammates say that when Wolfie
- 1:00Speaker 2: time was on, he got goosebumps for the first time
- 1:03Speaker 2: in his life. It was Corey Wagner. Was that what
- 1:06Speaker 2: it was like for you?
- 1:08Speaker 1: Well, yeah, it was probably the second time for me
- 1:11Speaker 1: because I reckon I had it earlier in the year
- 1:13Speaker 1: when we played Wolfie time last time. So it is
- 1:16Speaker 1: a very unique experience. And, yeah, I think it just was...
- 1:22Speaker 1: It was perfect as well because the anticipation all year
- 1:24Speaker 1: has been almost frustrating. But it was nice that our
- 1:30Speaker 1: fans were able to enjoy it.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Hey, we've played Wolfie time. We've also got some audio
- 1:36Speaker 2: of that goal you kicked, mate. Now, just before we
- 1:39Speaker 2: play it, so you had a shot earlier and you
- 1:42Speaker 2: passed it off. After that, did they say, listen, mate,
- 1:44Speaker 2: just go for it. You're the best kick in the club.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Is that how it worked out?
- 1:50Speaker 1: Well, not really, but... That was kind of what I
- 1:52Speaker 1: was telling myself in my mind. I'm going for it.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I was trying to do the right thing by the team. But, yeah,
- 2:01Speaker 1: when you've sort of got ahead of steam up and
- 2:04Speaker 1: you can see the goals, sometimes it's best just to
- 2:06Speaker 1: go for it yourself. So I'm glad I just backed
- 2:08Speaker 1: myself in.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Hayden, can I just say you looked... He looked magnificent.
- 2:13Speaker 1: It was a good look.
- 2:14Speaker 2: The eyes were bulging, mate.
- 2:17Speaker 1: You were just like, get out of my way.
- 2:20Speaker 2: This is going through. From 75 or whatever it was.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Have a listen to this, G-Man. Here's one version.
- 2:26Speaker 1: The coach, Chris Scott, he's got a deep bag of tricks.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Cats aren't out of this.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Young takes off.
- 2:30Speaker 2: A bounce.
- 2:30Speaker 1: He can launch from 51. Don't you want to be young? Yeah.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Don't you want to be young? Yes, we did.
- 2:43Speaker 1: We did.
- 2:43Speaker 3: I wanted to be young.
- 2:44Speaker 2: My hair was growing back. I was feeling young again,
- 2:46Speaker 2: so to speak. Oh, mate, how was it? What did
- 2:50Speaker 2: it feel like when it went through? You were so pumped.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a good feeling. To be honest, I
- 2:56Speaker 1: didn't actually strike it overly that well. It kind of
- 3:00Speaker 1: floated a little bit. So I certainly didn't go the
- 3:04Speaker 1: early crow and start celebrating too early, but.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a good feeling when it went through,
- 3:10Speaker 1: and I was just glad to hit the scoreboard and
- 3:13Speaker 1: get some momentum going for the team.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Floated like a butterfly, stung like a bee. That's where
- 3:17Speaker 3: you want to be.
- 3:19Speaker 2: I reckon that during the week, Caleb Sorong gave some
- 3:22Speaker 2: amazing speech. I don't know if it's getting more amazing
- 3:24Speaker 2: by the day, but apparently, is that how it worked out?
- 3:28Speaker 2: He sort of just said, listen, last week against Hawthorne,
- 3:31Speaker 2: I was selfish. We didn't do the right thing. We
- 3:33Speaker 2: need to do this. Can you recall that speech?
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yeah, no, he did get up in front of the group.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Every week we do a trademark review and we review
- 3:44Speaker 1: the performance. As a leadership group, we sort of take
- 3:47Speaker 1: it in terms of leading that review and Caleb was
- 3:51Speaker 1: leading it this week. Yeah, he was just really vulnerable
- 3:54Speaker 1: in front of the group and owned his performance and
- 3:58Speaker 1: sort of set the standard for the week and what
- 4:00Speaker 1: he was going to commit to. We all spoke as
- 4:03Speaker 1: a team of... you know, what we all wanted to
- 4:06Speaker 1: commit to as individuals. Um, and yeah, it was a
- 4:10Speaker 1: great way to set up the week and it definitely
- 4:11Speaker 1: got the response out of the team.
- 4:14Speaker 2: All right.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Off to Sydney now. Um, and in a team that's,
- 4:18Speaker 3: you know, sport for choice, you've got Brennan Cox and
- 4:20Speaker 3: Brandon Walker pushing to get back in.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Yeah, no, we do. We're, um, it's a tough decision
- 4:26Speaker 1: to make and I'm glad I'm not one of the coaches, but, um,
- 4:30Speaker 1: but yeah, everyone's back and healthy, which is really good. And, um, yeah,
- 4:34Speaker 1: I'm not sure what they're going to do, but whatever
- 4:36Speaker 1: the case is, uh, whoever comes in or whoever plays
- 4:39Speaker 1: is going to be able to do their role.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Hopefully.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 2: It's a smaller, smaller ground, the SCG, isn't it? Do
- 4:45Speaker 2: you guys, how do you prepare for that? Is it easier?
- 4:48Speaker 1: Uh, yeah, well, we'll, we'll go there the day before
- 4:51Speaker 1: for captain's run and just familiarize ourselves with the, with
- 4:55Speaker 1: the ground and get used to it. Um, But, I mean,
- 4:59Speaker 1: it doesn't really change a lot. We'll speak about it
- 5:01Speaker 1: in terms of how we want to defend the ground.
- 5:04Speaker 1: We certainly want to probably protect the corridor because it
- 5:07Speaker 1: is a bit shorter, so if you let them in
- 5:09Speaker 1: the corridor, they can go end-to-end pretty quickly, but Largely,
- 5:13Speaker 1: it's just another ground. We've just got to go out
- 5:14Speaker 1: and play.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I guess you should be able to kick a goal
- 5:16Speaker 2: from the centre square then this week. This week.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Well, yeah, that is a possibility.
- 5:23Speaker 2: If you come storming out of the middle like that again,
- 5:25Speaker 2: that's going straight through. That'll be enormous. Hey, listen, Errol
- 5:29Speaker 2: Goulden's their absolute superstar. Any chance you go with him
- 5:35Speaker 2: or who's it going to be? Is it Brayshaw? Is
- 5:37Speaker 2: it Johnson? What are we looking at here?
- 5:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not sure what the plan is. Last week
- 5:43Speaker 1: we sort of went 4v4 in the guts and took
- 5:48Speaker 1: them on as a team and that sort of works
- 5:50Speaker 1: for us. There are times where we have gone to
- 5:52Speaker 1: individuals who get off the chain and I'm sure the
- 5:56Speaker 1: coaches will have a plan whether it is we just
- 6:00Speaker 1: take them on as a midfield group or if he
- 6:02Speaker 1: does start having an influence, we pull a lever. You've
- 6:07Speaker 1: got to respect those really good players and And, yeah,
- 6:10Speaker 1: I suppose the benefit of our midfield is there's multiple
- 6:13Speaker 1: ways that we can beat teams or nullify good players. And, yeah,
- 6:17Speaker 1: it could be one or two ways.
- 6:19Speaker 2: All right, boys, as we let you go, we had
- 6:21Speaker 2: an argument in here. The guy said Oli Dempsey's goal
- 6:24Speaker 2: was a goal. I said it was inconclusive. Oh, I
- 6:27Speaker 2: think it was a goal. What did you think, great man?
- 6:30Speaker 2: Have you asked Jono what happened?
- 6:32Speaker 1: Of course, he still would have won.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Well, Jono was adamant it came off his arm. Yes!
- 6:40Speaker 1: But I don't know. I don't really care.
- 6:41Speaker 3: That's true. It's not a thing. But yeah, I've never
- 6:45Speaker 3: seen it come off an arm and go through.
- 6:47Speaker 2: The course like that. It is irrelevant.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Hayden, good luck.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Thank you so much, guys.
