- 0:00Welcome back to another edition of the Beef Ever Cool podcast.
- 0:03Might as well might as well say global podcast cause a lot of
- 0:08people are liking what we're doing.
- 0:09My name is Rex 45. We got a lot to cover tonight,
- 0:14you know, we got Moto America, we got World Super Bike, we got
- 0:18Moto GP, there's some championships crowned, there's
- 0:22some back stories. We're going to have a lot of fun
- 0:25left, but let's bring out bring the fellas in one at a time and
- 0:29see how things are going. What's going on TJ, man, welcome
- 0:32to the show. You got to take in Jersey,
- 0:36Jersey as a as a as a as a fan. So how you doing man?
- 0:41I'm doing great. It was a long drive.
- 0:44It was a fun experience. I love going, you know, every
- 0:48time. It's my second time going to
- 0:49Jersey. But it was a great atmosphere as
- 0:52always. The weather was perfect, you
- 0:56know, did some tests riding there on a couple bikes that
- 0:59they had and demos and walked around and see some of the
- 1:02racers and watched all the races.
- 1:04So took an OL in. Hi, listen, Mary.
- 1:08Well, there's a lot to cover cause a lot happened.
- 1:10Grace, man, welcome back to the show.
- 1:12Man, what's good? I was good man, glad to be back
- 1:17in long weekend, crazy weekend so.
- 1:20You know, I'm looking forward to hearing about it.
- 1:23It's, it's, you know, from from my standpoint, it looks like a
- 1:27successful season overall. But if you don't get the taste
- 1:31of champagne at the end, you can't really spell success.
- 1:35So how are things? No, I mean, we'll get into that.
- 1:40I mean, I mean overall still a good year, you know, still good.
- 1:47We got some positive info, some positive data coming back.
- 1:50So we're ready and just gearing up here for a world sewer bike
- 1:54so. That's what's up.
- 1:55I can't wait to hear about that. We're going to bring everyone
- 1:58in. I mean you let's try it out
- 2:02there we go technology. It looks like Lewis we got we
- 2:06took too long for Lewis. We're waiting for him to connect
- 2:08back, but we'll jump into it. We'll start with TJ man, come
- 2:11on, give me give us the play by play of of of the weekend.
- 2:15First of all, you got free tickets.
- 2:16So that that was cool. You know, so I'll need to start
- 2:21from there. Like I said before the show
- 2:22start, this is anything you want to talk about it kind of show.
- 2:27Man, so I was just there just seeing what it what everything I
- 2:32had to offer. Obviously I was just waiting for
- 2:35the Super bike race and I want to see, you know, the three
- 2:39races that was going to happen during the weekend, man.
- 2:43Like what can I say? They, they put it down like
- 2:47Bobby the, the, the three top runners, Bobby Cam Beauvier and
- 2:55Gerald Sharon. So they really actually put in a
- 2:58fight this whole weekend, all three of them battling
- 3:02throughout all three races. So it was really good to see
- 3:06watching at different turns and just their preparations, stuff
- 3:10like that. So and and.
- 3:13Like, what was the atmosphere like, you know, just getting
- 3:17around the paddock and stuff, getting access to people, you
- 3:20know, what was that like? I mean, it was, it was busy.
- 3:24I mean, everyone's moving each direction, like on scooters, on
- 3:30bicycles or whatever you want to call it that it has two wheels.
- 3:34People walk in cars driving, people Wheeling tires.
- 3:38It was just a busy moment. Demo rides coming in and out.
- 3:43So I mean, if he wasn't on one of the stands watching the
- 3:47races, he'd pretty much going to miss everything.
- 3:50But you, you, there's a lot of entertainment, a lot of good
- 3:53food, music, a lot of good vendors, free stuff.
- 3:56And there's some good, good, good atmosphere.
- 3:59There's a lot of kids there as well, so some kid friendly
- 4:02stuff. So all.
- 4:04Right. That's what's up, Reese, man,
- 4:07You know, I'll let you tell it, man.
- 4:10So, you know, it didn't go exactly how you guys wanted it
- 4:14to go. It's, it's, it's unfortunate,
- 4:18you know, is, is in a situation like that.
- 4:21I mean, you know, does the rider feel it a little bit more than
- 4:24the team? I mean, we both feel it.
- 4:27The rider feels it, he really feels it.
- 4:29I mean, he's down, you know, so I mean, but you know, we're
- 4:33still a lot of high spirits and you know, at this time,
- 4:35definitely before I even forget, I definitely want to give a big
- 4:40Congrats to Yamaha for taking the manufacture title for 2025.
- 4:44A lot of people don't know that. A big shout out to Bobby.
- 4:51You know, Bobby wrote his behind off this year and you know, like
- 4:55I said, it was an overall successful year for Bobby.
- 4:58A lot of people had counted us out.
- 5:01They didn't think we would be there, but we were actually
- 5:03there and we were actually one hand on the trophy.
- 5:05So that's right there shows that we're still here, we're still
- 5:08competitive and definitely give a big shout out to Richard and
- 5:12the whole my whole team, the attack team.
- 5:16So what's what happened when people don't see, and I mean
- 5:20people that were there to kind of see that was a standing
- 5:23around the the pit, but to actually get Bobby's bike back
- 5:27up and running after race too, to pretty much give him a whole
- 5:30brand new bike. I mean within that amount of
- 5:33time and that was short of amazing.
- 5:35That team is top notch. And you know, I can't, I love
- 5:40them guys and I wouldn't ask for a better team or a different
- 5:43team without them. So definitely give a big thanks
- 5:46and a big, you know, salute to those guys.
- 5:49But you know, overall, I think Bobby feels it.
- 5:53You know, we all feel it. I felt that coming home today,
- 5:57you know, in the in the airport. So, but like I said, we're all
- 6:00have high hopes and we're getting ready for air for a
- 6:03world super bike. You're here for Porto Mall for
- 6:05Estero. Yeah, we'll talk.
- 6:08We'll talk about that a little bit because, yeah, I mean, you
- 6:11know, it, it's, you know, the hardest thing I think, you know,
- 6:16after, you know, losing a championship, you know, is, is
- 6:20that that like directly after when you have to, when you just
- 6:23think about it. But you know, as time passes
- 6:26and, and like, like you mentioned, you think about the
- 6:27whole season, you know, it was a success story overall.
- 6:33You know, the results doesn't dictate, you know, the the work
- 6:36put in and, and that you guys have done for the, for the whole
- 6:40season and stuff like that. And to, you know, for a guy to
- 6:42be on a bike for first year to do something, you know, that
- 6:46impressive. It, it, it, it's, you know, it's
- 6:49the likes of what you know, Mark did last year, going to Grassini
- 6:52and, and being able to, you know, you know, do what he did.
- 6:55So no, definitely. So.
- 6:59Do you got? You know, now you're going to
- 7:00Puerto Mayo, so let's talk a. Little bit.
- 7:02Is is? Go ahead.
- 7:05Yeah, well, I was used to continuing the concession.
- 7:07I was going to talk about Bobby, but I'll I'll wait.
- 7:11No, Well, go ahead, 'cause we're going to talk about Puerto Mayo
- 7:13and see if the is, is it the whole crew that's going?
- 7:16Which is it? You know Bobby and and and the
- 7:20the crew chief. I mean, the whole crew's going.
- 7:26I mean, of course only certain members of the crew are going to
- 7:29work because they don't need all the crew to work for just one
- 7:31rider. But I mean, we'll all be there
- 7:33in support and have a good time as a whole.
- 7:36Family. That's what's up.
- 7:38That's what's up. Go ahead, TJ.
- 7:40Well, yeah, and I was going to chime in on on the attack
- 7:44Yamaha. So definitely want to give
- 7:46Congrats to the Yamaha team because you know, they
- 7:50definitely still stepping stone. They put in the work and like
- 7:54you said, we got the title. It was good meeting Reese there
- 7:57as well in person. And Lewis and, you know, just
- 8:02seeing the environment. They're very professional, very
- 8:05respectful. But I just know that just what
- 8:10Bobby did this year is just amazing.
- 8:12And he's so humble and I, I just, I just know just back in
- 8:18his head is just like he has a lot on the table and he can't
- 8:22fuck up, you know, And it was just probably just so much
- 8:26stress on him and just to try to hold the points because like, he
- 8:30did win race one, got that out the way.
- 8:34But race 2, like I was sitting, I don't remember the turn
- 8:37number, but little chicane. I think it's like turn six or
- 8:41seven. There was a point where Josh
- 8:44Hannan would always like kind of let off the gas a little bit to
- 8:49to like, you know, gain momentum or push and and you know, Bobby
- 8:54tire rounds his at one point and then later down the race is the
- 8:59same, same corners where Bobby crashed out right, right.
- 9:03And I think. Heron uses a lower gear than the
- 9:05Yamaha. Yeah, in that, in that turn is
- 9:08what I heard. But yeah, and then that's when
- 9:11Bobby made his little gestures and stuff like that, and then it
- 9:14was wide open from there. So that Race 3 was pretty big,
- 9:18and it was just unfortunate just to see you probably, you know,
- 9:21lose it after having to leave. Yeah, thank you.
- 9:25It was back and forth between the three.
- 9:26But just still want to say Congrats to the Yamaha team
- 9:30because that was a hard fight and it's just disappointing.
- 9:33I know it's a sour taste going home.
- 9:37And I agree with that. Congrats for real because you
- 9:40guys did win even though you didn't get the the final piece
- 9:43because it's been an amazing year and I don't know none of
- 9:46your guys going to lose sight of that because you guys have been
- 9:48there before so and you'll be there again so and I.
- 9:53Think we appreciate it. I think Bobby is going to learn
- 9:55a lot from this and be even stronger next year.
- 9:58So I'm, I'm, I'm looking forward to next season for sure.
- 10:02Lewis man, you know you, you've been in and out.
- 10:05You know, here's your chance to to talk about Motor America and
- 10:09your thoughts of the overall weekend.
- 10:11You know the likes and dislike. You know all the all.
- 10:15The. And you know, we might change
- 10:18your last name now. No, no, no.
- 10:22Yeah. Let me start by saying thanks to
- 10:25to everybody that came up and and said hi, that kind of knew
- 10:29us from the pod. I was surprised, man.
- 10:32I was surprised by how many people just randomly would shout
- 10:34out like, hey, are you Luis Ortega or hey, are you the
- 10:37numbers guy? And it was, it kind of caught me
- 10:40off guard because it's the first time that I've had somebody, you
- 10:43know, people noticed me and from the pod and, and, and all the
- 10:47feedback was great. All the feedback was super
- 10:49positive. You know, they like what we talk
- 10:51about, they like what we expand and they like when we talk about
- 10:54racing, but they, they like when we expand a little bit and talk
- 10:57about other things outside of racing, but motorcycle related.
- 11:00So it was good. It was just good get to get
- 11:02feedback first hand. I mean, I get a lot of emails
- 11:04and I get a lot of messages on Instagram, but when you see the
- 11:08fans in person and you get to talk to them and they, you know,
- 11:11they, you kind of, they know that, Hey, you know what the,
- 11:15they do know what they're talking about.
- 11:16Like we're, we're all invested in what we're saying.
- 11:19We're all invested in the sport. We, we enjoy it, we like it, the
- 11:22good, the bad, the ugly. We're there for it.
- 11:25So I want to say thank you to that.
- 11:26As far as the weekend, a great weekend as far as the turn out,
- 11:31the event itself, you know, Reese can tell you there were
- 11:35more people there on Saturday than I've ever were seen there
- 11:37on Saturday. I think there were more people
- 11:39there on Sunday that I've ever seen on a Sunday.
- 11:41I mean, they were parking cars almost all the way to the
- 11:45Lightning track, which is for those of you that know the track
- 11:48layout, that's the other side of the track.
- 11:50So people were walking from Lightning to Thunderbolt or if
- 11:53you have to walk that. I mean, Reese, what do you
- 11:56think, man? That's like a mile and a half
- 11:58walk from one track. That's a cool walk man.
- 12:02You get your steps in that day. So for the, for the event, for
- 12:07everything, it was great. As far as the, the, the, the
- 12:12happenings within the weekend, I was, I was super happy for the
- 12:17results on Friday. I wasn't surprised.
- 12:20The only thing that surprised me was, you know, heroin obviously
- 12:24didn't have pace and it showed, you know, he showed some, some
- 12:28pace in the very first practice. But after that, when everybody's
- 12:32lap times really started to drop, you know, the reason why
- 12:35Aaron started in 7th place, it wasn't set up and it wasn't
- 12:38anything else. Like he didn't have pace.
- 12:41He had great launches and he's got a he's got a bike that has a
- 12:44lot of grunt and everybody knows that and he knows how to take
- 12:47advantages of the weaknesses and the strength of that bike.
- 12:50So he was able to get past, you know, the guys in 6th, 5th and
- 12:544th and quickly get himself into the top three or four in every
- 12:56race. But towards the end of every
- 13:01race, you saw that his pace was dropping.
- 13:04And This is why he had the tactic he had.
- 13:07And, you know, some people might not like it, some people might
- 13:09like it. Some people say it's race craft,
- 13:11he's a crafty racer, this and that.
- 13:14He intentionally was slowing the traffic down for multiple
- 13:17reasons. One, because he knew at the end
- 13:19of the race he didn't have the pace to go with somebody if they
- 13:21got in front of him and really started to put some time down.
- 13:24We saw that in Race 1. Bobby was able to get out to a
- 13:27four second lead. Two of those seconds were a
- 13:29fucking track marker in the back that doesn't know how to read a
- 13:32Blue Flag, which should get black flagged and not allowed on
- 13:35a Moto America track ever again. Because this is a championship
- 13:39racing weekend and you got some guy that's lapping around 8 1/2,
- 13:44nine seconds slower than the guys at the front, and he
- 13:46doesn't know how 2 flag works. Bro, that's a Black Flag.
- 13:49Get off my track. Never come here again.
- 13:52Disqualification. In the second race, Josh did
- 13:56what Josh needed to do again. Like it or dislike it, he jumped
- 14:01in front and he tried to intentionally slow the pace down
- 14:03because he understands his only opportunity to win is if Bobby
- 14:08and Cameron have an incident. You know he was too far out of
- 14:13the points of that side. So the only thing you could do
- 14:15is try to slow the pace down and hope that either those guys
- 14:19start battling with each other or somebody else that has
- 14:21nothing to do with it starts battling with them.
- 14:23They start to try to do something risky to get around
- 14:25them and possibly crash to give him again that glimmer of hope
- 14:29that he might still be able to win.
- 14:32Hate it or love it, it's a race tactic.
- 14:34It is what it is. And you know, several of the
- 14:37people had said that, you know, he takes a different mind.
- 14:41He tends to slow mid corner because he uses a different
- 14:44gear, because he's trying to use the grunt to get out of the
- 14:46corners. But you know, if you're
- 14:49intentionally slowing the pace, you're also putting people at
- 14:52risk because if five other guys are coming through the same
- 14:56corner at a specific pace and they're expecting you to be on
- 14:59the gas as a professional at the apex and you're still neutral
- 15:03throttle or lower the neutral throttle at the apex and after
- 15:07the apex because you're trying to fuck up everybody else's
- 15:11corner speed because you don't have corner speed.
- 15:14Again, it's a tactic, but it's a shitty tactic.
- 15:18So we should. We should.
- 15:20Kick a Noni out of world super bike.
- 15:22Well, I mean, again, this is a tactic.
- 15:24I'm not saying that it's illegal or anything else.
- 15:28It's a shitty tactic, but it's a tactic and it's the only tactic
- 15:32that he had because again, he needed both Cameron and Bobby to
- 15:35crash for him to have any chance to retain his title because he
- 15:39was out of it. You know, he was well, well out
- 15:41of it. And unfortunately, Bobby race
- 15:44the way Bobby races all year. Bobby, Bobby goes out there and
- 15:49he's, I hate to say it, man, he really is a win it or been a guy
- 15:53like I can't slow down. I can't just settle for second
- 15:56or third even when he should settle for second or third
- 15:59because that's not the way he is.
- 16:01You know, anybody that knows Bobby like I got to do my pace.
- 16:05I got to do my corners, I got to do my apexes the way that I do
- 16:08them. This is the way that this is
- 16:10what got him here. This type of riding got him to
- 16:13this point this time of the year and this ain't the time to try
- 16:16to change that. The way he rides, man.
- 16:18And everybody online, all the oh by the way, all the previous
- 16:23super bike champions online, the thousands.
- 16:26I didn't realize there were so many goddamn super bike
- 16:28champions in the US. Fuck the the thousands of super
- 16:35bike champions that are going online and giving Bobby advice
- 16:38on how to ride. I'm sure Bobby is going to
- 16:42listen to it because I mean, with all the titles you fuckers
- 16:46have and all the Super bikes that you guys have ridden at the
- 16:50top level, I mean, shit, I mean, Bobby only owns the the track
- 16:55record at two or three tracks. I guess these other thousand
- 16:57guys on the track records everywhere else because it's
- 17:00like, holy shit, man. And you know, again, bro, social
- 17:06media is toxic. We know that.
- 17:07We know how people get manipulated very easily.
- 17:10You know, people are putting up, oh, here's Joshua's track data.
- 17:14It'll easily show you what he was doing.
- 17:18And 90% of these guys can't even read a menu at fucking
- 17:22Cheesecake factor. You think they know what track
- 17:24data looks like? I could, I could put a EKG up
- 17:27there and be like, this is track data.
- 17:28They have no clue. So is is I.
- 17:31Mean. That, that type of criticism
- 17:34that because I, I, I see it as well.
- 17:36And I, you know, you know, you want to expand on that a little
- 17:39bit because, you know, as a writer, it's hard not to see
- 17:42that stuff on, on your feed and, and all those comments and stuff
- 17:46like that. And, and you're absolutely right
- 17:49on just the facts being the numbers guy, right?
- 17:52But you know, there's still people that want to come out
- 17:55and, and give advice and, and, and say all these things and,
- 17:59you know, you know, I guess not. I'll, I'll, I'll push this to
- 18:02Reese. I mean, you know, how, how do
- 18:04you other writers have coped with that in the past?
- 18:06And I mean, you guys only been with Bobby for one year and,
- 18:09and, and this is still all brand new.
- 18:12You know, how do you guys, you just, you know, become a title
- 18:15family? How do you guys deal with that?
- 18:18I mean, honestly, we just kind of ignore it.
- 18:20You just kind of you kind of brush to the side.
- 18:22I mean, because everyone's going to have their opinions,
- 18:24everyone's going to have their face.
- 18:26I mean, I've had people hit me and say, Oh, BMWs won this top
- 18:30this, this that. I'm like where, you know, I've
- 18:33had people tell me certain about factory teams over in world
- 18:37super bike. I've had people tell me, you
- 18:39know, I've seen people say Bobby choked or this and that.
- 18:43I'm like, really like, unless it's it, you want to speak on it
- 18:48and you want to talk about it and it's like, there's no point
- 18:51because as you know, you're, you know, my mom always told me when
- 18:53growing up, ignorance is bliss. And you know, it's like people
- 18:57don't, they're going to say what they want to say.
- 18:58And it's, it's no disrespect to them.
- 19:00That's just what they want to say.
- 19:01But it's like, like Lewis just said, the social media nowadays
- 19:04is all toxic. It's just like, you know,
- 19:07fortunately, I, I, I go back as to, you know, when I first
- 19:10started writing, it's like the Suzuki, you know, of course,
- 19:13sorry, Lewis, but it's that one person, that one person said
- 19:17that Suzuki's best. And guess what?
- 19:19It just followed down the line and Suzuki's the greatest thing
- 19:22walking on God's given earth. And now everybody's like, oh,
- 19:26Suzuki did Suzuki died. And I'm like, OK, cool.
- 19:29But it's, they're missing now. It's a Ducati thing and they're,
- 19:32it's just, it's one person will make like a, a trend and it's
- 19:36just, it goes from there and it's just a snowball effect.
- 19:39And you know, people would sit there and say, oh, there, there
- 19:42weren't that many fans at MO of America or MO of America's
- 19:45falling. I'm like, like Lewis said, there
- 19:48was, we looked, they, I talked to one of the MO of America reps
- 19:52and the, and the jersey reps and it was record-breaking numbers
- 19:56for New Jersey's round. They had more fans in jersey
- 20:00than they've ever had on their weekend.
- 20:02It's all because it was very. Cool.
- 20:06It it, it's because they knew we were coming, bro.
- 20:12They they heard on the pods, we down the pod, we were going to
- 20:15be in there like yo, let's buy some tickets.
- 20:20So I mean it's it's that. All joking aside, this is what
- 20:23we want, you know, as, as you know, people who, who want to be
- 20:26part of the, the, the, the racing community, the business
- 20:30side of things. That's what we want as a fan
- 20:32side. That's what we want as well, you
- 20:35know, to to hear that, you know, jersey had record-breaking
- 20:38numbers and hopefully that carries over into Daytona in the
- 20:42in the next next March and so forth until next year.
- 20:45That's kind of what we want. I mean, they obviously we get
- 20:47more people talking with the, with the AI edited, you know,
- 20:51data and stuff like that. But with more breach, I think
- 20:56we're going to we're going to get that negativity right.
- 20:59Of course you're going to always get the negativity, even like
- 21:01Lewis said. I mean, people can't read data.
- 21:03I mean, hell, to be honest, I've been there now 11 years and I'm
- 21:06looking at the data like this shit look like spaghetti, you
- 21:09know, like squiggly lines. And you're like, I'm trying to
- 21:13get them to like, all right, so that's the tired temp.
- 21:15OK, So I'm like, I got to like be taught.
- 21:18And I'm like, this is this is crazy.
- 21:21So for someone to sit there and say, oh, yeah, I can see it.
- 21:24I can see it. I'm like, no, you can't.
- 21:29And again, anybody get the problem is even 90% of the facts
- 21:36are fake. I could take a screenshot from
- 21:38data from another guy and put it on there and be like, hey, it's
- 21:41data. Like there's there's no way to
- 21:44equate it. The only people that know what
- 21:45was going on on that track were the guys on the track.
- 21:50And the feedback from the guys on the track was that that was
- 21:54the feedback that they felt that the pace was being slowed
- 21:56intentionally. And you can see on the video, in
- 22:00race one, halfway through the race, there was 1 bike that was
- 22:04sliding like more than any other bike, and it was sliding at the
- 22:07same three or four or five points.
- 22:09And that was a Ducati. And in the second race, they
- 22:11slowed the pace down significantly to try to save
- 22:14tire because they couldn't seem to manage a tire.
- 22:17And then in the last race, what happened when Bobby and Cameron
- 22:20got away in front, a certain Ducati started dropping like a
- 22:23fucking stone because they didn't have the pace.
- 22:25So much so they got passed by Suzuki.
- 22:29Yeah, baby Suzuki. No boy, baby coming back.
- 22:34Right, listen, I, I could, I could say this, this is what I
- 22:39can say and I'll, I'll, it will contest to what Lewis just said.
- 22:44When the certain person got out front, the pace was at the low
- 22:49and mid. It was at the mid 20s.
- 22:51It was a 20.3, a 20.5. That was the pace.
- 22:57When the other got out front we were at a pace was at a 21.7 to
- 23:04a 21 point, I mean a 22.3. Wow.
- 23:10So yeah, so, so now you move it, you guys are going over to.
- 23:18No, and just one last thing. And then you know, Jersey is a
- 23:21for anybody who's written it, it's a very hard track to pass.
- 23:24There's only a couple of clean passing places.
- 23:27And if you can get the grunt of your bike to block somebody into
- 23:30turn one, it becomes a single lane track until you get to turn
- 23:345. And there's you could do the
- 23:36Comic Con, the inside and try to make the turn of turn 5.
- 23:40Then there's no other passing realistically unless there's a
- 23:43mistake until turn 1 again. So you know, you can block
- 23:47people at turn 5 and not motor people to turn 1 and then park
- 23:50it in turn one. You're not going to get really
- 23:52get passed against five. So you kill somebody's drive
- 23:55coming out of turn 3. They can't really get a drive to
- 23:58pass you at turn 5. And then you got the growth
- 24:01again at turn 1. So now it becomes this, you
- 24:03know, this kind of like slinky effect where every time you
- 24:07think you got room, the room has got and every time it starts to
- 24:10stretch, it collapses again. And This is why you saw in the
- 24:14third race and in the first race, when other riders got in
- 24:17front of that rider, they were able to set their pace and that
- 24:20rider couldn't. We saw it on one and we saw the
- 24:24same exact thing. Phase three.
- 24:26His tactic is tactic. I understand why it is.
- 24:29And to be honest with you, in my position, in the same position,
- 24:32I'll be doing the same shit because I'm trying to win at all
- 24:36costs. Short of causing somebody to
- 24:39crash, I'm trying to win at all costs.
- 24:42So like get a hate it, you know, it is a tactic and you got to
- 24:46accept it. But you know, at least now we
- 24:52know that, you know, Jersey got the benefit and Moto America got
- 24:55the benefit from 1. The Baggers were there and two,
- 24:58the most important three races of the season happened in the
- 25:02last two days of the season. And I think that's why so many
- 25:05people showed up to to jerseys. There were stakes, there was a
- 25:09reason to go there. It wasn't raining for once,
- 25:11Thank God, you know, So all these factors put together, This
- 25:14is why we had a great turn out. We had a great event.
- 25:16And even though it didn't turn out the way everybody maybe had
- 25:19hoped for, at the end of the day, we still got a great
- 25:22champion because Cameron Bovier, his story is, is important too,
- 25:25man. Kevin Beaubie has had a rough,
- 25:28rough time over the last 5-6 years, man.
- 25:31He went to Moto 2 and he struggled.
- 25:33He went, you know, he stayed there probably way longer than
- 25:36he should have, thinking that the team would be able to come
- 25:38around and give him a bike that he can compete with.
- 25:41And he comes back and he gets on the BMW and the bike is not
- 25:44there. You know, everybody thinks, oh,
- 25:45the BMW is great. There's one guy that's
- 25:48consistently fast on the BMW and he's an alien dude.
- 25:53How many other people have raced the BMW and struggled?
- 25:57Scott Ready couldn't make it work.
- 26:01You know, all these other guys couldn't make it work.
- 26:03There's one dude that's been able to win on the BMW.
- 26:08Besides top. Rack besides top rack.
- 26:10Yeah. And now Cameron, even, he'll
- 26:13tell you the bike's not very easy to ride, but he finds a way
- 26:16to ride it. And I'm super happy for that
- 26:18guy, man. You know, he's had concussions.
- 26:21He's had injuries like he almost concussed himself out of the.
- 26:24Sport. So as much as I rooted for
- 26:27Bobby, yeah, crack dude, this guy's been through it.
- 26:31So as much as I rooted for Bobby, once, you know, we saw
- 26:34that Bobby wasn't going to get it, and I saw who was in second
- 26:37place, I was like, you know what, man?
- 26:39If this, if it's destined for him to get this title, then let
- 26:43him get this title. Because this guy's been through
- 26:45the ringer, man, and he's a super deserving guy.
- 26:50Yeah, I agree. You know, so and next year we're
- 26:52going to have two BMWs in in, in World Super, I mean Motor
- 26:56America. I think it's going to be 3.
- 26:59Oh wow, here it's going to be 3 BMWs, maybe 4.
- 27:04Depends because Tyler's racing is is is a weird anomaly of a
- 27:08company. Every year they're going out of
- 27:11business. Right.
- 27:13Every year that every seriously at Greece, you know every well
- 27:18every year the the the the the main sponsor behind Tyler's
- 27:22racing has to decide whether or not they're going to go racing
- 27:25again next year. You know, like Cameron Beauvier
- 27:28next year might not even be on a BMW because that team might not
- 27:31be there if the team finds fun I.
- 27:37Think we? I think we might.
- 27:39Have lost, but orange cat is definitely going to go racing
- 27:42minimum. They're going to have two BMWs,
- 27:43but they might even bring a third BMW because they're trying
- 27:47to bring get a a really, really strong team together.
- 27:50From what I talked to them a little bit this weekend.
- 27:52I mean they're planning on having four riders.
- 27:55I don't know where these four riders are going, dude, but
- 27:58they're having a planning on having four riders.
- 28:01We're going to have another all one, you know, maybe we'll have
- 28:05something else. Yeah, I was about to say show
- 28:09right. Jack, Jack, they're going racing
- 28:12super bikes. Yeah, he he's another one that
- 28:14won the championship. I mean, I don't remember what
- 28:17the points were hit with with Matthew and PJ, but I mean,
- 28:21getting a flat tire in race one seems like that he put them out
- 28:25of the points. I mean, you know, that's also
- 28:27another strange way to to elude the championship.
- 28:31Brand new Dunlop straight from Japan baby.
- 28:34What are your thoughts on that, TJ?
- 28:36You, you were there to see it, man.
- 28:37What are your thoughts on that? Yeah, man, that that race would
- 28:41happen to be red flags. So it was kind of interesting.
- 28:44I don't know if there's someone else crashed or caused it or if
- 28:47it's because PJ had a flat tire, but it was just a strange
- 28:51situation. But yeah, that's weird that
- 28:54you're just the only one to get a flat.
- 28:57There was. There was a blowout in practice.
- 29:01Oh my it. Was two blowouts.
- 29:02Yeah, 2 blowouts. For for who?
- 29:05Like. Super Sport.
- 29:07Yeah, what's? Going on over there.
- 29:11So they were using the jet, the new Japanese made Dunlop tires
- 29:17and and they had to pull some and Reese, you could probably
- 29:21talk about this a little more than me, but from what I
- 29:22understand, they looked at a specific lot number and had to
- 29:26pull all of them off the trailer to not give them to anybody else
- 29:30because those tires were failing they.
- 29:32They were failing because they went to a lower pressure.
- 29:36That's what they said. They went to an 18 lbs or
- 29:39something like that and that's what the issue were.
- 29:42So they didn't, they shortened the race to allow the tires to
- 29:48to last. That was so.
- 29:55Is Blake Davis one of the forefront for the championship
- 29:58next year now that you know, P JS moving up?
- 30:02Is Cam moving up as well? Or is it just Schultz and and PJ
- 30:06moving up to super bike next year?
- 30:08Just just Schultz and PJ. So.
- 30:14Go ahead. But I I don't know.
- 30:16What Cam's doing, because you know, there's there's some
- 30:19rumors that there's some some might be some additional changes
- 30:24in the paddock. You know, I don't I don't like
- 30:27to speak out of turn, but you know, there's a company that's
- 30:30not 100% sure if they're going to be able to be back in the
- 30:33paddock or they're looking for a new funding now.
- 30:36I think they'll be able to find it, but more than likely Cam P
- 30:39is going to end up in super sport and and it'll be it'll be
- 30:45pretty much Blake Davis, Campy Scott and and Demario.
- 30:50Like I'm going to give Demario a a a big boost, bro.
- 30:55That kids, that kids the truth. And and Ray Hall did a great
- 30:59job. That's he's an amazing pick up
- 31:01man. You guys have no idea the talent
- 31:04because most people only know him from the last couple of
- 31:06seasons here. But but I have his, you know, I
- 31:09have his resume from when he was raising in Italy, man.
- 31:12And if it wasn't for the fact that, you know, his father got a
- 31:15job here in the US, that kid would probably be a Moto 3 right
- 31:18now. Wow.
- 31:20All right, that that's. Going to be a cool lineup for
- 31:22next year for the front runner for sure.
- 31:24I'm pretty sure there might be a couple of others in there, but
- 31:27let's move over to Moto GP and then we'll bounce around to
- 31:31World Super Bowl. All right.
- 31:33Sorry, Jesse. Sorry, just before we move over,
- 31:36I definitely want to congratulate our home to New
- 31:40England or Nathan Betancourt for actually getting a podium on
- 31:45Sunday on 3rd place. So it was super exciting to see
- 31:51another person that I know or you know, be on the track with.
- 31:55So I want to congratulate the Betancourt family for getting on
- 31:58the podium and allowed us to get the tickets as well.
- 32:01So it's cool to see that, no doubt.
- 32:04And Nathan? And Mike, you know, man, it's
- 32:05time to come on the show and tell the story.
- 32:07Let's make it happen. But that's, that was dope to see
- 32:09Nathan, Nathan, Nathan can get on the podium because like I,
- 32:13we, I, I remember him as a, as a, a little lad on a, on a kick
- 32:18scooter kicking around the paddock, you know, while dad was
- 32:20racing and, and you know, dad stopped racing.
- 32:23So he can put time into get Nathan to where he's at.
- 32:26And to see them, you know, I, I believe 2, two years in and to
- 32:29get on the podium, that's huge. And the kid I did like, he said
- 32:32he was just 12:00 earlier this year.
- 32:38So. I'll give you one more little
- 32:40inside scoop from the day that I was at today.
- 32:42So today I was at the Aprilia track day and NJ and P, they
- 32:45have the track day right after Motor America's event every year
- 32:48here. And a lot of a lot of the kids
- 32:51from the Twins Cup stayed to ride.
- 32:54And Alexandra Demario went out on an RSV4 stock bike with St.
- 33:01Pirelli tires. Running 120 eights bro.
- 33:06Wow. Stop bike that just.
- 33:11A demo bike. Don't break this.
- 33:15Let's bring it. Back in one piece.
- 33:17Well, I'll give you another. I'll give you another insight
- 33:20too to what Lewis said. I guess somebody was out there
- 33:23doing a track day with him and he was on AI.
- 33:28Think he was on a super bike and the Mario pulled away from him
- 33:32like he was standing still. So for all those guys out there
- 33:35talking all the Super bike and trying to give a genius, there's
- 33:38a kid out there ready to bust you behind on the Blake Blake.
- 33:44Blake Davis and I'm gonna tell you right now, Blake Davis and
- 33:48Alessandra Demario are really the young forerunners for being
- 33:53that next generation of top races.
- 33:55When they get to that point, when they get that maturity and
- 33:57they get big bikes, are they got?
- 34:00They're going to hurt a lot of feelings, man.
- 34:03Yeah, it's. It's a trend that's been coming.
- 34:05I mean, you know, for me, just the last 10 years, seeing these
- 34:07young kids come up and you see the progressions of of the the
- 34:11younger ones where they're at now in the sport and stuff like
- 34:14that. So, you know, motorcycle racing
- 34:16in the US is is going in the right direction.
- 34:19So it's, you know, it's definitely exciting.
- 34:21And you know, hopefully more heads will be, you know, going
- 34:24to world super bike or even, you know, more in the in the Moto GP
- 34:28Moto two side of things as well. So that way, you know, you got
- 34:31more, you know, US riders, you know, filling up the the the
- 34:35international stage. Speaking of international stage,
- 34:38let's talk about Japan. Motegi, one of my favorite
- 34:42tracks. You know, Mark Marquez did his
- 34:45thing, won the championship. I don't know what the big that
- 34:48is the biggest news. It is the one of the biggest
- 34:50comebacks that we can talk about.
- 34:53Only thing come close is Grant. Grant Hill because Grant was
- 34:56hurt for many years. Kim Kardashian.
- 34:58Had a comeback? Come on man, this is not.
- 35:06I mean Cameron movie had a comeback.
- 35:09Listen, listen, listen, listen. Listen, Tiger.
- 35:11Woods. Kim always has a comeback.
- 35:14That's the problem in that one. Video in that one.
- 35:17Video shit. So we'll, we'll, we'll.
- 35:20We'll we'll leave it there, but you know, it's still one of the
- 35:22biggest comebacks out there for more cast because he had a lot
- 35:27of surgeries in four years and maybe some of the writers may
- 35:31have retired And you know, he he he took a gamble.
- 35:35You know, we've been kind of talking all year that it was his
- 35:37to lose. Did he did he live up to the
- 35:40hype? Is it is it did he win by too
- 35:43much and and and made it kind of boring?
- 35:46What are your thoughts, TJ? I mean, no, he actually made.
- 35:51It really exciting because when he first got out of Ducati last
- 35:55year, you know, everyone was just ready for him to start
- 35:59winning and he gave a little glimpse.
- 36:02But once he got that factory seat, I just we kind of already
- 36:05knew. We just had to prove it.
- 36:07But we didn't think it was going to be like this.
- 36:09Like, you know, I mean, I've been watching Mark for a little
- 36:13bit and really got into racing a few years ago, but like, like
- 36:18his comebacks for his injuries and to just smoke people the way
- 36:23he did so far and get the championship.
- 36:27And like he can actually just focus on action.
- 36:30Like he doesn't like have to do anything else.
- 36:34Like he got the title and and he still can probably act to, I
- 36:38don't know, he's still can get more get points and add to this,
- 36:41this running zone. So very impressive and still
- 36:45excited to see the races that we have left.
- 36:50There's still some cool tracks, and Kentucky is a cool track as
- 36:53well. So yeah, no doubt, Reece.
- 36:55What are your thoughts? You know, like Cam, you know,
- 37:01Mark did something pretty special, you know, you know, how
- 37:05does that rank for you as far as you know, you've been, you've
- 37:08been around a motorcycle racing for a while.
- 37:11You know, we all said he was all of us.
- 37:13I was probably still on the fence, probably still on the
- 37:15fence and denial myself. But what are your thoughts on
- 37:18what Mark did and, you know, getting his 7th GP title in this
- 37:23way? Because like I said, this is
- 37:25something like, you know, like Tyson come back and fight and
- 37:28Ali coming back after going to jail and, and, and all that.
- 37:32You know, there's a lot of writers that could have just
- 37:34said, hey, man, I got enough money, I can live off my Red
- 37:36Bull check. And, you know, and he decided to
- 37:39go get his arm broken again and, and, you know, it went to
- 37:42Minnesota to do it of all places.
- 37:44And, you know, and, and look where he's at now.
- 37:48I mean. Honestly, I said it.
- 37:50I said this last year and you know, I told a couple of friends
- 37:54of mine said if this man gets on a red bike, he he's pretty much
- 37:58going for a second and third. You're not going for first.
- 38:02The way he showed us pace the first year being on the
- 38:05satellite bike that just told me this, he gets on a factory bike
- 38:10with all the new equipment. The factory specs is, is you're
- 38:13pretty much going to race for 2nd and 3rd.
- 38:15But to see him come back after all the injuries, I mean, I was
- 38:17actually rooting for him. I've been a Rossi fan for a long
- 38:20time. But you know, they actually root
- 38:22for him. And to see him come back from
- 38:24those injuries and with actually thinking about calling it quits,
- 38:28I mean, it's something short of phenomenal.
- 38:30So, you know, it's actually congratulations to him and you
- 38:33know, it was something nice to see.
- 38:35I mean, from from start to finish.
- 38:37I mean, what from maybe like the sixth round after winning like
- 38:42this, this kind of one man show right now, you're pretty much
- 38:45just coming. We all come to say we're coming
- 38:47to the track to win, but at this point in time with somebody like
- 38:50that, you're just coming to see if I can finish second, right?
- 38:53Right. Lewis, what are your thoughts,
- 38:55man? You know, it's, there's, there's
- 38:59a lot of Marc Marquez ads out there.
- 39:03I mean, I have to, I have to give.
- 39:05I have to tip my hat to the man you know. 125.
- 39:12I mean, I saw him race when he was in the CEV.
- 39:17It's an amazing story from. Beginning to end everything, he
- 39:20has been the competitor he's been since the day he arrived on
- 39:23the circuit in 125. The rider that he's evolved
- 39:27into, the talent that he's evolved into.
- 39:30I mean, we're all fans, so we're going to look at it from a fan's
- 39:32perspective. I would say the true measure of
- 39:35a champion is how your contemporaries look at you and
- 39:38how your contemporaries speak about you.
- 39:41And it was really great one to see all the other riders when
- 39:46asked about the accomplishment, all of them said more or less
- 39:50the same thing in their own way. You know, this is an incredible
- 39:54thing. If you think about where he was
- 39:56just six years ago, if you think about everything he's been
- 39:58through, you know, most other riders would have given up.
- 40:01Most of the riders would have been retired.
- 40:04He you know, even in the in the documentary that they have for
- 40:08Mark Marquez going through his surgeries, even his own family
- 40:12were like, you got you got enough money.
- 40:14You know why you don't need to race?
- 40:16You have this, you have that. Like there's a video going now
- 40:19that directly from that documentary where Marquez sits
- 40:22down with his grandfather who is no longer with us.
- 40:26And he's he's asking his grandfather, you know, will you
- 40:29give me a blessing to do this? If I do this one surgery and
- 40:32they fix it, I can go race again.
- 40:35And his father's like his grandfather.
- 40:37I mean, is it pretty much tells him you you have more than
- 40:39enough money, you don't need to do this anymore.
- 40:42If you ask me, I'll say no, but it doesn't matter what I fucking
- 40:45say because you're still going to not do what you want to do.
- 40:47But if you ask me, I say no. And Marquez is like, no, well,
- 40:52I'll tell you what, I'll do this surgery and I'll give it one
- 40:54last shot and everything he's went through and and again, all
- 40:58the contemporaries, man, all the other riders have all said the
- 41:02same thing. This is an incredible thing.
- 41:03This is an unbelievable comeback.
- 41:05There's never been something like this before in Motorsports.
- 41:09Like, yeah, Rossi came back from a broken leg.
- 41:11A lot of people coming back from broken legs doing came back from
- 41:15a destroyed leg so bad that they sold his left leg to his right
- 41:18leg so that they can circulate fresh blood to try to heal the
- 41:21broken leg with the good leg. So we've seen riders come back
- 41:25from some crazy things, but this here, break your arm, it gets
- 41:30set incorrectly. So you volunteer to get your arm
- 41:33broken again to try to get it set correctly.
- 41:36You leave a team that's paying you millions and not just a
- 41:40couple 10s of millions of dollars to go to a satellite
- 41:43team because you're looking for that competitive advantage to
- 41:46get back to the top. Like this dude has done
- 41:49everything possible to grab that trophy again, man.
- 41:51And now I think between now and the end of the year, I think
- 41:54he's going to set a new Type A challenge for himself.
- 41:56I really think he's going to try to reach that 600 point plateau,
- 42:01put that point bar so high that it might never get reached, man,
- 42:05maybe that we'll never see somebody hit 600 points again.
- 42:07And it's out there, it's available to him.
- 42:09He could do it. Well, well, well.
- 42:11Let's wait a minute now, Rondell.
- 42:13He can do it again. You know we.
- 42:15Made his own record. We.
- 42:16We. Saw they figured out.
- 42:17Petco's bike all of a sudden, so I don't know, I don't know, but
- 42:22you know if it's a one off or but the rest of the season, I
- 42:25don't know if it's going to be that easy for Mark.
- 42:28What are your thoughts on on the fact that Petco did what he we
- 42:31did this weekend and everybody? The sun shines on a dog's ass
- 42:36every once in a while, man. So, you know, I I'm getting that
- 42:39out there, but anybody else gets out there, That sun shines on a
- 42:42dog's ass every once in a while. Once a day.
- 42:46So so so you you think? It's it's a one off and you
- 42:50know, it's still because for a guy to ride like that, is it all
- 42:54mental? One, it is mental.
- 42:58Yes, I mean, it does a lot of it's mental.
- 43:00If the bike is working properly then yeah, because a lot of
- 43:03times the bike will work properly and then they won't be
- 43:05able to just be the rider. So I mean, it could be a a
- 43:08little bit of both. We don't know.
- 43:10I mean, nobody knows on that side.
- 43:12It's like, I mean going on that side of like damn near Fort
- 43:15Knox, you know, they won't give up their secrets.
- 43:19So I mean, we we'll never know, but you know, yeah, it's one.
- 43:25It could be a one time, it may not know.
- 43:27I mean, we started, I watched the race and I started seeing
- 43:30the bike start smoking. You know, I'm like, I don't know
- 43:33what's going on, but I know I did see the man back there Mark
- 43:37reeling his behind end. So a couple more laps, we might
- 43:40not have this conversation right now.
- 43:43But Mark did struggle a little bit.
- 43:45And some of them laps the great. Ones always struggle.
- 43:49But they figure out. They find a way to turn up all
- 43:52right, TJ. One off what are you?
- 43:54What are your thoughts I mean? I feel like it's a one off
- 44:00because like I feel like heckled by this point.
- 44:05I would have performed a lot better.
- 44:07Kansas see that this race. I mean they want to throw in
- 44:12another manufacturer, but Juan mirror got a fourth in the
- 44:14Sprint and got a podium in the in the GP.
- 44:17So like that's a one off, you know, so like, I don't know,
- 44:22it's just a situation. I I really hope that Petco can
- 44:26find his way though and possibly finish top three, at least on
- 44:30top five for the rest of the year.
- 44:32So I actually say that he's back or figured something out
- 44:37actually and and feel improvement, but I don't know.
- 44:42I don't, I I just can't call it. I feel like Mark Mark is
- 44:47definitely going to try to set a record like he's already set the
- 44:50record, get the 600 plateau Mark and he's probably going to try
- 44:54to beat his own record next year.
- 44:56So it's going to be even tougher for our Petco, yeah.
- 44:59It's it's going to be. It'll be interesting to see
- 45:02numbers guy, you know, there's, you know, Mark wins the title,
- 45:07gets on the podium and there's a Honda on the podium as well.
- 45:11You know one. Do you think if Mark was on a
- 45:13Honda this year, would he would he win the championship?
- 45:16Because if he if if you say yes, that means he gave up a lot of
- 45:19dough to get this championship because the Honda is looking
- 45:23good. We haven't brought up, oh, hey,
- 45:26Martine, you know, with the broken collarbone.
- 45:29So I'm pretty sure you want to touch on not took out his own
- 45:32teammate who helped him get into Q2 like the last round.
- 45:36I mean, like, is there just some one rider has to have bad juju
- 45:40in Moto GP? Like what's going on, Lewis?
- 45:43I mean, if Miguel. Oliveira's in there.
- 45:45Somebody got to pick up the slack, you know?
- 45:47Somebody, somebody. Yeah, I'm fucking somebody up
- 45:51this weekend. I mean, it's, you know, I, I
- 45:56don't even know, like on the Jorge Martin thing, I don't even
- 46:00know what happened there. Like for me, if that's not a
- 46:04mechanical, if that's just Ryder error, that might be some of the
- 46:08dumbest shit that I've seen in 8-9 years.
- 46:11Yeah, from him. From him, From him.
- 46:14From even in Moto GP you always see some people crashing at turn
- 46:181 but it's always like, you know, kind of a low side trying
- 46:21to get in the corner, making some contact.
- 46:23Not the bowling ball man. Like this dude had the 79 split.
- 46:30Did that in 2023. Yeah, I.
- 46:34Haven't seen in a couple years but it's like at a certain place
- 46:37bro. You are at the top level, man.
- 46:40You know you're. Ready from a shitty.
- 46:42Spot because you don't have great pace you ain't going to
- 46:44make up 9 spots in the first corner all you're going to do is
- 46:47put yourself and your teammate now now the entire factory team
- 46:52is out man, you know and. As far as?
- 46:55Honda you guys and I keep telling you man that home track
- 46:59half a second is a real thing and even though Johann Mia is
- 47:03Spanish, that's a Honda track. Believe me, the guys that signed
- 47:06his check were like, yo, my man, we at the Honda track, we really
- 47:10like to see a Honda, Honda podium here.
- 47:13And you know, we slowly start to sign the check.
- 47:18If you get it on the podium, you know, like so it's you know,
- 47:23these you get that extra incentive when you're there.
- 47:27You know, I mean, dude, you got your bosses there.
- 47:29Any of you could say it when your boss walks in, you look
- 47:32busy at work, right? He's in front of his boss.
- 47:36He got to get busy enough laps. On on, on at that track that
- 47:42they that data is pretty good to make that bike go faster.
- 47:45Yeah, they've got, they've got massive.
- 47:46Data if Mark was on that bike. This if Mike Mark had stayed
- 47:50with Honda. I don't even think Mark would
- 47:52still be in racing because if you look at the amount of crash,
- 47:55no seriously, look at the amount of crashes the Hondas have had
- 47:58this year between Mir, Marini, Zarko, I don't even know who the
- 48:02other guy is because yeah, dude, yeah, it is.
- 48:05And I'm surprised he survived this long, you know?
- 48:09Mark is going to crash. Just as much as those guys
- 48:12because he's only got one gear. So I'm, I'm still glad that
- 48:15Mark's not with that team because Mark's career would have
- 48:18got cut short and we would have missed out on this incredible
- 48:20run that he's having this incredible comeback, you know?
- 48:24So yeah, I'm Mark. Would probably.
- 48:28Not be at this race because he'd be retired with like 2 broken
- 48:31arms, broken collarbone, broken knees.
- 48:34Like just trying to survive the Honda.
- 48:38That'll be the next documentary. Yeah, dude.
- 48:42How to how to survive Honda directed the same people that
- 48:48directed how to survive R Kelly. Oh shit, all done.
- 48:58And then? As far as the Peckles thing, I
- 49:01don't think it's a one off because during the entire season
- 49:03Peckles been in that top 345. It's not like he's, you know, I
- 49:08bust his balls, you know that when he's I'm not here for to
- 49:11race for 4th or 5th even though he has been.
- 49:13But they should stay in the top five.
- 49:15So it's not like 21st. I mean, he's had a couple of.
- 49:18Struggles here and there, but keen eyes.
- 49:22Very keen eyes. Notice some significant
- 49:26differences between his bike and Mike Marks bike at this track,
- 49:31Yeah. So they are they made.
- 49:34Some changes to the bike. I don't know if they took, you
- 49:36know, the rumor is they took last year's.
- 49:39Bike and applied them to. This year's bike and made some
- 49:41other changes in hopes of helping Peko get his confidence
- 49:44back, get his mojo back. Is that going to help through
- 49:47the rest of the season? I mean, maybe, you know, maybe
- 49:50at this point Mark's like, dude, I'll just finished second for
- 49:52the rest of the year. I still, I got all my fat checks
- 49:56If I finished second or third for the rest of the year, I'm
- 49:58still going to make, you know, all my money.
- 50:01I'm still going to break the record for the highest points
- 50:03total. I'm still going to do all this
- 50:04other stuff. I let I let some other guys win.
- 50:06All right, OK, I feel bad for the other guy.
- 50:08Let him get some checks. Look.
- 50:10Look at my brand new Lambo. I got this.
- 50:12You know they gave me a Lambo. Yep, let me.
- 50:15Throw out Alex. Marquez to TJ and and Reese man,
- 50:18cuz he, he, you know, he looked like he showed a little bit of
- 50:21nerves, which I, I you wouldn't think so you think that would
- 50:25have maybe started sooner, but I expect a little bit better
- 50:28racing out of him. But is you think like overall,
- 50:30is that a team thing? Because also Aldegear struggled
- 50:32as well. What are your thoughts TJ on on
- 50:36how Alex did and also you think he'll he'll keep his 2nd place
- 50:41to the end of the season? Yeah, I definitely think he'll
- 50:46keep it second place, but I think I think it was the part of
- 50:50your team issue. I mean, Alligator has definitely
- 50:53been showing more pace as the season was progressing.
- 50:58Lately. He's kind of been struggling a
- 50:59little bit, but same with Alex, he's been struggling trying to
- 51:05stay up front. Couple crashes here and there.
- 51:08But I think it this time it was probably more of like a team
- 51:11effort for as far as set up and you know, it's just I think Alex
- 51:16has one gear as well trying to keep up.
- 51:20With Mark and. His pace trying to improve, but
- 51:24you know. I think.
- 51:25I think. Going forward, we probably
- 51:28haven't got the end of the season to keep that second
- 51:30place. Right, right.
- 51:33What are your? Thoughts Ruiz you know the team
- 51:36little bit they still recovering from his injury with thoughts on
- 51:40Alex. I mean, it could be a little bit
- 51:42of. Both it could be a writer, it
- 51:44could be a team. You know, Lewis knows this from
- 51:48being around the the industry so long.
- 51:50A lot of writers think that they're writers, they're
- 51:53champions and they also think that they're engineers, you
- 51:57know, so it could be market, you know, Alex telling them, I need
- 52:00this, I need this. And they're like, you don't need
- 52:02this, you you need this. And he's like, no, I need this.
- 52:05So it could be a little bit of both, you know, where a rider
- 52:10thinks he knows, but he really don't know.
- 52:14But it could be the injury that's plaguing him, you know,
- 52:17still, you know, sometimes these guys want to come back sooner
- 52:20than what's expected. You know, they want to come back
- 52:23and, and race and, and, and win. It could be a team that they
- 52:28just kind of lost their way. So it could be numerous of
- 52:32things that I've been booked. Honestly, looking at the point
- 52:34spread and looking at everything, I believe you still
- 52:36holds. It'll hold 2nd place.
- 52:38You know, especially just keep the bike upright.
- 52:39So you're still gaining points. You know, you long as you see it
- 52:41in the points battle. So you're still gaining points,
- 52:44you're still gaining data and figuring it out.
- 52:48But eventually I think they'll figure out their way back.
- 52:50You know, the best thing I tell them the best thing see them
- 52:53doing is pretty much going back to what they had.
- 52:56You know, because I'm pretty sure they got the data on what
- 52:58they did have and just go back to that, start from that setup
- 53:02and and go from there. All right, that's what's up.
- 53:07I mean, before we jump into world super bike, you know, do
- 53:11we want to we really, really talk about KTM as much?
- 53:14I mean Yamaha, Quatraro, I mean this man, listen, man, he's a
- 53:19foreigner, but if he was trying to get into America, he'll
- 53:21figure out a way. Well, you know it Like the not
- 53:25the. Yeah, they're kind of.
- 53:27Struggling a little bit over. There KTM and and in Yamaha and
- 53:31and and. Any thoughts TJ?
- 53:35Anything you want to. Point out I.
- 53:37Mean, I mean, yeah, I mean, I would say just.
- 53:44Just the set up. Maybe it's just that.
- 53:46They have been sugar lately. Fabio's like the only one that's
- 53:51holding Yamaha down South. They've been struggling the
- 53:55whole yeah my. It's just he's been pulling out
- 53:58miracles. Not miracles, but he's been
- 54:00putting in a lot of work after it.
- 54:02Oh, miracles. It was just.
- 54:03More of a metaphor to us, but like he's been making them,
- 54:07keeping them relevant basically. And they're still struggling
- 54:12even, you know, they did load tests, Paytmi mean like after
- 54:18two rounds ago when they were doing really well and then
- 54:23losing, losing change the the next week after.
- 54:27So yeah, they're still still trying to find their way.
- 54:30So I think they're in a good spot.
- 54:33I throw KTM over Yamaha, but I think Yamaha still has a lot of
- 54:36work to do. Right, anything that you want to
- 54:41add, Reese, I mean, you know, I, I we did say miracle, but like
- 54:46TJ alluded to more they you know it, it should be hope, right,
- 54:50because quarter hour was saying, look, this is what I can do with
- 54:52what I have. So give me something that can
- 54:55that I can really be more consistent, you know a.
- 54:58Great man once told me. Once you lose hope, you gain
- 55:00faith, but at this point in time, I ain't got no damn faith
- 55:06shit. That's gone.
- 55:10Fuck, I mean, what what DJ said. I mean it's kind of like being
- 55:16modest, but I mean he's pulling out.
- 55:20That's that's Tudini man, pulling out a miracle out of
- 55:22that sometimes to keep that Yama out there to me, you know.
- 55:28So I mean, hopefully they figured this out and figured
- 55:32that V4 out that they they got, you know, 'cause you know, they
- 55:35said it was. I mean, of course it's a new
- 55:38prototype is new. So they got to figure everything
- 55:40out and get it running. They still got bugs and
- 55:43scenarios that work out, you know, so I hope they do figure
- 55:46out figure that out. You know, KTMI don't know what
- 55:50the fuck going on over there. I think they just, they just
- 55:52broke, you know, something, something going on.
- 55:59Maybe they broke the bikes are broke.
- 56:01I don't know, man. It's just like Jesus Christ,
- 56:04man, give, give, give some faith in this.
- 56:06It's it's long gone, but. I don't know.
- 56:10I mean, hopefully. They can figure it out.
- 56:12I mean, at some point in time they look great and sometimes
- 56:14they look spotty and sometimes they're just like non existence.
- 56:18I mean, they'll crash out. Bassini's gone, you know this,
- 56:21that I mean, I I just don't know what's going on over there.
- 56:24It's either the setup is wrong, tires is wrong for them,
- 56:27suspension, it's just chassis. I don't know, it's something.
- 56:33Yeah, it's, it's, it's tough. And they got a whole bunch of
- 56:36new money. I mean, I, I don't know, I think
- 56:38they may have just done enough to kind of say we're not going
- 56:41to be worried the first year. But you know, they're smarter
- 56:45people than us that that are that are invested in these guys.
- 56:49So it can't it can't look too good for KTM if it can't be a
- 56:52little bit more consistent, consistent.
- 56:54Louis, anything you want to add before we move over to world
- 56:56super bike and and talk about what top rock and Bulaga is
- 56:59doing and your boy Sam lows? No, no, no, I mean the.
- 57:04Guys pretty much said everything.
- 57:05The only thing that I have to add to that is I've said that
- 57:08some of the tracks that are coming up are not going to be
- 57:10KTM friendly and some of the tracks are not going to be
- 57:13Yamaha friendly. I mean, the two bikes that seem
- 57:15to be the most dialed in, the Ducati and the Prelia, I mean,
- 57:19you could kind of see that in the performances.
- 57:22You would have seen it better if Martine didn't take out the
- 57:24entire team. But a Prelia bike is the only
- 57:27bike that consistently can compete with the Ducati at this
- 57:30point. All the other bikes have flashes
- 57:33of brilliance and I think still the Honda is even though people
- 57:38shit on. It I think the Honda.
- 57:40Is a little bit further along than the Yamaha because the
- 57:43Honda's been on AV motor for a long time.
- 57:46So they're just developing from a point where they're already at
- 57:49by, by Yamaha coming out with AV, they're kind of throwing up
- 57:53the signal that, you know, we understand that this is what we
- 57:55need to do. But now they also have a lot of
- 58:00work to do because they now they're going to have to fix
- 58:02this, you know, that now they're going to have to address what it
- 58:04takes to have AV motor, what chassis changes they have to do
- 58:08what this they have to do with that.
- 58:10They have to do. So there's, there's a, a, a long
- 58:13steep learning curve, I think coming up for Yamaha, whereas
- 58:17Honda's got that step up. And then unfortunately, KTM, I
- 58:24don't know exactly what to blame it on.
- 58:25I in a way, I kind of if, if, if Vinales was healthy and they
- 58:31were still having struggles, then I would say that it's the
- 58:33bike. But I think again, Vinales was
- 58:35the Canaveral in the coal mine for them.
- 58:37He was the one that was warning on what to do, what not to do.
- 58:40And when he got hurt, they had a setup and it worked a little
- 58:43bit. And he's still recovering.
- 58:45And I think until he recovers they're going to still be
- 58:47struggling to find that setup because realistically Vinales is
- 58:50the best rider that KTM has right now.
- 58:54Man, I never thought I'd be hearing.
- 58:55Those words at the end of the season.
- 58:58Trust you, man. We, we.
- 59:01We. We were saying off with their
- 59:03heads at the beginning of the season, yeah.
- 59:06But he's, you know. I knew, I knew, I knew Bastanini
- 59:09wasn't going to be doing all that much on the bike because he
- 59:13was on a factory Ducati and yeah, he was hurting everything
- 59:15else, but he should have really never gotten that factory seat
- 59:18to begin with, in my opinion. Oh, come on.
- 59:22I think there was. There was, yeah.
- 59:25We do another show on that whole episode.
- 59:30Episode or. Not.
- 59:34But. And then and Bender, Bender has
- 59:37been on KTM forever and he's just a, a middling rider.
- 59:41He's never going to, he's never going to be a champion.
- 59:43Man, I hate to say it. I'll put it out there right now.
- 59:46You'll never see Bender's name at the top of that championship
- 59:49trophy ever, especially if he stays with KTM.
- 59:53If he stays with KTM, this is he's reached his apex of what he
- 59:56can do with KTM, right? He should have left when Zarko.
- 59:59Left. Dude, real talk.
- 1:00:01Right there, yeah, yeah. Real talk right there.
- 1:00:03He should have pulled the. He should have pulled the RIP
- 1:00:05cord on that parachute because that plane was going down.
- 1:00:08Zarko knew it. And Brenda was like, no, they
- 1:00:12taking care of me and getting paid.
- 1:00:14Yeah, because, because. Like a few years ago he had a
- 1:00:17better chance of getting a factory seat or getting on a
- 1:00:18Ducati bike if he was, you know. But KTM locked them up with that
- 1:00:22big deal, three-year, 4 year, whatever deal they got them.
- 1:00:25So yeah, they definitely locked them.
- 1:00:27Up, you know, I mean. Locked them up back there in the
- 1:00:30back. We still ain't learning, but I'm
- 1:00:35earning, right? Let's let's.
- 1:00:39Let's talk about. World super bike.
- 1:00:40I mean, you know, it's you know, I'll say this, I'm glad to see
- 1:00:45Bulaga fight back and and when it was able to at least, you
- 1:00:50know, pull 2 away from from top rock because when you're
- 1:00:53fighting for a championship and and the guy just keeps stepping
- 1:00:56on you, keep stepping on you round after round, sometimes you
- 1:00:59might just say second start don't look good.
- 1:01:02What are you? What are your thoughts, TJ on on
- 1:01:05on the the races over there? Aragon, Aragon actually like
- 1:01:13Aragon. That's a nice track.
- 1:01:14So you can really get on the gas.
- 1:01:17There's nice back straight there, didn't really see all the
- 1:01:21races, but that's going to go back in and check, you know, all
- 1:01:25the detail and see all all around his special team.
- 1:01:31Oh yeah, I. See, I see that top, top rack,
- 1:01:34you know, won the first race, it looks like, and it's good to see
- 1:01:38that, you know, when the second race and third race is sweet to
- 1:01:41feel so like he usually does. So it does see that Bullock has
- 1:01:45still got the fight in him. I mean, like I said, racing for
- 1:01:48a championship, like he's still got to go, go all out at the end
- 1:01:51of the day until it's the last race, the the last moment,
- 1:01:56whatever. So he's going to do all he can
- 1:01:59to try his best. So I don't know, I don't know
- 1:02:02how many rounds are left. But you know, that kind of ride
- 1:02:05and do you think that gives more confidence to to Bulaga because,
- 1:02:10you know, it's just kind of like, I mean, he only gained 3
- 1:02:12points when it's all when it's all said and done.
- 1:02:16But does that give that kind of motivation to be like, all
- 1:02:19right, man, I can probably beat this guy at the rest of till the
- 1:02:21rest of the season. I don't know if it's enough to
- 1:02:23win, but at least it you know, it could be a thorn.
- 1:02:29TJ Yeah, I. Mean I'm looking.
- 1:02:33At it now he's only. Down, down on.
- 1:02:38Like 40 some points. So like say, I mean top right
- 1:02:42rarely has ADNF, but you got to think what's what can be
- 1:02:46possible. I mean, some people crash and
- 1:02:49still answer the race to to anticipate a red flag, to try to
- 1:02:55fix their bikes, to hope for a red flag.
- 1:02:57So you got to just hope for the best.
- 1:02:59They still not too far away. I don't know how many races are
- 1:03:03left, but on a race weekend they have a couple of races.
- 1:03:07So yeah, I. I agree.
- 1:03:11Anything what are your thoughts on on what the BMW is doing over
- 1:03:14there RE so it with top rock and you know what, what Bulaga is
- 1:03:18doing because like I mentioned the TJI mean like he like I
- 1:03:24mean, you know, obviously Bulaga's won before, but you
- 1:03:27know, this one. It's like a good basketball game
- 1:03:29when y'all, y'all are both playing hard and anybody could
- 1:03:32win and and usually it's top rock getting the better side of
- 1:03:35you, But you know, now you you you pull something out.
- 1:03:38So I mean, it's it's unfortunate for next season because top rock
- 1:03:43is leaving, but like, you know, Beluga's confidence got to be
- 1:03:46really high after these past these past rounds.
- 1:03:49I mean. Yeah, I mean his, his, his.
- 1:03:51His confidence goes high. I mean, you do you do roll your
- 1:03:54confidence in going into the next round or the next race, you
- 1:03:57do roll that in. So that does have a play a
- 1:03:59factor into it. I mean, because when you win, I
- 1:04:02mean, you're only riding that high horse.
- 1:04:05I mean, but at the end of the day, I mean, it's it's kind of
- 1:04:08sad. It's I mean, I always say this.
- 1:04:10It's not that you're going against BMW, you're going
- 1:04:12against top rat. You're not going against the
- 1:04:14bike. I mean, you know, it's the the
- 1:04:17BMW is a great bike. It's a it's a hell of a bike.
- 1:04:20I mean, but as far as certain things, it's the actual rider
- 1:04:26because you put top caliber guys on the bike before and where
- 1:04:31were they at? So you put top rack on it, he
- 1:04:35destroys. You put top rack on the Yamaha,
- 1:04:37he destroyed. You put him on anything else,
- 1:04:39he's going to destroy. It's just who he is, you know.
- 1:04:43So I mean Bullerger going against top rack and at this
- 1:04:48point in time, I don't think there's enough rounds left.
- 1:04:51I mean, unless you have ADNF with two rounds.
- 1:04:54So it says 100 points plus the Sprint races.
- 1:04:58No, 200 points because it's 25. Yeah, so.
- 1:05:03You can still win. But you you're hoping for Top
- 1:05:07Rank to DNF, and if he doesn't DNF mean you're kind of up
- 1:05:12shit's Creek without a paddle, right?
- 1:05:15Do you? Agree that you know, you know,
- 1:05:17it seems like Bulgar Rd. like Top Rock this weekend and like
- 1:05:20you pretty much, you know, had to put the bike in all the right
- 1:05:23places to get in front of Top Rock.
- 1:05:25He did. He had to put.
- 1:05:26It in the right place the right time.
- 1:05:29I mean, like like Lewis said, I mean certain tracks are are, you
- 1:05:33know, gear for that brand. It's just the way it's the way
- 1:05:35it is it this track may work well for Ducati.
- 1:05:38This track may work well for a Honda, may work well for Yamaha
- 1:05:41versus BMW. You know, Aragon may be great
- 1:05:44for Ducati. You know, it just may be the way
- 1:05:48it's designed, the way it's set up, but Ducati is going to work
- 1:05:50well on it. And then, you know, they got the
- 1:05:52next year's bike coming finally, the V4R, you know, so that might
- 1:05:55be work well for it, Right, Right.
- 1:06:00Lewis Mann, let's talk about the crashes.
- 1:06:02Let's talk about, you know, tough rock and, and Bouliger
- 1:06:06'cause, you know, Alvarez threw away some, some, some points as
- 1:06:11well and some opportunities. You know, we, we, and even in
- 1:06:15Noni, we're slowing down the pack as well.
- 1:06:18To, to, to kind of he, he's been kind of riding like that when he
- 1:06:21can to beat some guys so they can't find a way around them.
- 1:06:24But you know, how how did he like watching the race and
- 1:06:28seeing what Bulaga, how Bulaga was able to, you know, kind of,
- 1:06:32you know, give top rack a little bit of his own medicine?
- 1:06:35Well, are you trying to say that there's?
- 1:06:36Ducati guys that intentionally slow down other riders to try to
- 1:06:40win races. Is that what I'm?
- 1:06:42Hearing, I think that's. I think.
- 1:06:44I think that's what I heard. I'm fortunate that this
- 1:06:48chocolate. Chip cookies.
- 1:06:48You're always catching all. Right, you own a Ducati.
- 1:06:54Is that in the owner's manual? How to win on a Ducati?
- 1:07:02I actually enjoy watching any race at Aragon.
- 1:07:05I think Aragon is one of the greatest tracks that is out
- 1:07:08there. It's a beautiful track, the
- 1:07:10layout is great, everything. Boonlaga is going to fight to
- 1:07:14the end regardless. The only thing that I'm worried
- 1:07:19about is I'm worried about the state of World Super Bike going
- 1:07:22forward. And I don't know if you guys saw
- 1:07:25this, but there was an interview with top rack.
- 1:07:28And now that he's leaving World Super Bike, I think he's a
- 1:07:30little being a little bit more open in his interview is about
- 1:07:34certain things about World Super Bike that maybe in the past he
- 1:07:37wasn't so open about. Because when you're when you're
- 1:07:40working somewhere, you don't want to shit on the place you
- 1:07:42work on, But when you got a new job, it's like, yo, that place
- 1:07:45sucks. And during the interview, they
- 1:07:52asked him because the turn out at Aragon was weak.
- 1:07:55They had a really bad turn out. And if you think about it, when
- 1:07:59Moto GP goes to Aragon, they have an incredible turn out and.
- 1:08:04One of the things. That they asked him is, you
- 1:08:05know, what do you see as the future world super bike?
- 1:08:08And he said one, we're a World Championship series and we only
- 1:08:13have 1212 rounds. He's like, that's unacceptable.
- 1:08:18You know, you, we need to have at least 18 to 20 rounds if
- 1:08:22we're going to be considered a true world super Bike
- 1:08:25Championship. And we need and we need to go to
- 1:08:28other countries. And several times during an
- 1:08:30interview, he specifically said, I don't understand why we don't
- 1:08:33go to the United States. Why isn't the world?
- 1:08:37Super bike championship going to the United States.
- 1:08:43So and then the other thing that was kind of mentioned is, you
- 1:08:45know what, what does he see about the competition level?
- 1:08:49And pretty much he says, you know, the competition level is
- 1:08:52very high, but I think next year is there's going to be one guy
- 1:08:57that's going to win it. So it's almost like he knows
- 1:08:59when he leaves, Buliga is going to wipe the floor with everybody
- 1:09:03because it's the bullet. It's the Buliga tamp rack show
- 1:09:05now. And next year there's no top
- 1:09:08rack. So who's going to stop Buliga?
- 1:09:10Sam Lowe's only. Only Buliga and Gravity are the
- 1:09:14only two people that can can beat Buliga.
- 1:09:19Yeah. I mean, look.
- 1:09:20Eka Eka Eka might be able to to do something, but we don't.
- 1:09:25We'll see how he gets on on a Ducati, how quickly he get up to
- 1:09:27speed, but I think he has a talent to to, you know, to give
- 1:09:33it to to at least be competitive.
- 1:09:34But they're going to be on the same bike and have the same data
- 1:09:37and they both going to be working out that V4.
- 1:09:39So that's going to be, you know, the 1st 6 to 8 rounds anyway.
- 1:09:43Yeah, I don't see BMW. Being back at the front next
- 1:09:46year without top RAT because you know, the bike as good as it is
- 1:09:50as a street bike. I mean, it's the twenty 20s
- 1:09:53Gixxer. Everybody wants to buy it.
- 1:09:56As a track bike. There's not a lot of people that
- 1:09:59are competitive on it. There's not a lot of people at
- 1:10:01the very pointy end of the sword on that bike.
- 1:10:04The Yamaha still Yamaha. Yeah, the Yamaha is still the
- 1:10:08Yamaha. I mean, it's going to be the R1
- 1:10:11for the 17th year. And then what do you got?
- 1:10:17You got the Bimoda, the the Frankenstein of bikes.
- 1:10:21You got the you got the Kawasaki.
- 1:10:23That's not going to get any new parts.
- 1:10:26Hondas look good. But the CVR has been.
- 1:10:31The CVI mean it's all right that give the CVR a little bit, they
- 1:10:34change it a little bit, but they need a new plant, they need a
- 1:10:37new motor, they need a new setup like they need a new bike.
- 1:10:40And I don't, I don't see, yeah, you know, Honda coming to the
- 1:10:45market with a new super bike anytime soon, at least not for
- 1:10:48the next 2-3 years. So whereas Ducati's developing.
- 1:10:52A new bike every two years or three years.
- 1:10:54They're coming out with a new R model they can homologate to
- 1:10:57keep pushing that envelope forward.
- 1:10:59Everybody else is sitting on their hands, man, right?
- 1:11:02So you know. Before we get out of here, we're
- 1:11:04a little bit over over our time as is and, and, and I'll put
- 1:11:08this out to all you guys just based on what Lewis has said
- 1:11:11about top rack in his conversation in World Super
- 1:11:13Bike. You know, and we, we, we've
- 1:11:15talked about this from the beginning of the season with
- 1:11:16Motor America and to finish Motor America with
- 1:11:19record-breaking crowds in Jersey.
- 1:11:22And, and it shows like, you know, what what people are doing
- 1:11:26and investing to to grow the sport in Motor America is, is
- 1:11:30that more on the organization side of things to kind of like,
- 1:11:34let's figure out Motor World Super Bike and get the crowd,
- 1:11:37because that is a downside looking.
- 1:11:39They don't really show the stadiums that much or you know
- 1:11:41any like that when you look at World Super bike, but it is
- 1:11:44discouraging to not see a lot of people at at a world event like
- 1:11:48that if you actually. Notice what they do in World
- 1:11:51Super Bike. When they give you a ticket,
- 1:11:53they actually put you in a section where the camera is
- 1:11:55going to hit. They try to pan everybody into
- 1:11:57one section, so when you look at the actual back section, it's
- 1:12:00completely empty. Yeah.
- 1:12:05What are your thoughts TJ on? On is it is it is it?
- 1:12:07Donna needs to, you know, like, don't treat it like a stepchild
- 1:12:14and and and and, you know, invest into this thing.
- 1:12:17Yeah, I mean like. I.
- 1:12:20Mean they definitely need. To go to USI mean you got all
- 1:12:24this plan that we do with Moto GP and they're taking over like
- 1:12:28the F1 style and like that like raw super bike shouldn't be
- 1:12:32neglected. They definitely need more
- 1:12:34rounds. Never got to promote some yeah
- 1:12:37stuff. Promote some way, you know,
- 1:12:41definitely like to. See them come to.
- 1:12:42The US travel more definitely, at least more rounds if they
- 1:12:46don't come to the US somehow got to be televised a little better
- 1:12:51because just watching the races a little harder than Moto GP or
- 1:12:57even Moto American. So it's just just a little.
- 1:13:02Someone needs to fix the technology and then update some
- 1:13:05stuff, maybe some updates I agree with.
- 1:13:07You there? I know they're.
- 1:13:08Definitely doing. They've gotten a lot better in
- 1:13:10Moto GP. Last year was a little bit
- 1:13:12quirky. This year was way better.
- 1:13:14Is the best year for, for watching online and stuff like
- 1:13:17that. And I agree with you.
- 1:13:18I, I think like, you know, it, it, it's, I don't want to say
- 1:13:21it's like doing your taxes and you're looking for forms, but
- 1:13:24like if you missed the race week and you're trying to find the
- 1:13:26race, you kind of have to know where you're going to get there
- 1:13:29exactly. And I definitely kind of see
- 1:13:32them being treated like a little stepchild.
- 1:13:35But I feel like, I mean, like Lewis said, kind of worried for
- 1:13:40them next year because the top rock is, you know, the main guy
- 1:13:44right now. Everyone's going to go and watch
- 1:13:46Moto GP now to see what he's doing over there and kind of not
- 1:13:50really falling where a super bike.
- 1:13:51So they need to find some way going into this next series next
- 1:13:56year to give. Give away like like.
- 1:14:00A free weekend or something like every weekend is for free
- 1:14:05something or, or something, you know?
- 1:14:07Yeah, no, I, I, I agree with. You I mean, we're, we're fans of
- 1:14:10the sports, so we're not going to stop watching TJ.
- 1:14:13We're going to. We're going to find our way you.
- 1:14:14Know what I'm saying but. I, I, I feel you numbers guys,
- 1:14:19that guy, you know, you, you brought it up, you said it.
- 1:14:23If you're saying that we should be worried because you know that
- 1:14:26it sounds like they need a big injection of of cash and
- 1:14:30something I mean they. Need that.
- 1:14:32I don't know if it's. An injection of cash.
- 1:14:34I don't know if they're circling the wagons to try to profit as
- 1:14:38much as they can from what they already have, so that they're
- 1:14:41keeping more of the money instead of reinvesting it in the
- 1:14:44right way. There's certain things, you
- 1:14:46know, if you look at the Moto GP events and you look at the World
- 1:14:51Super Bike events, for me, the broadcast quality should be the
- 1:14:56same. I agree.
- 1:14:58But it's not the same. You know, in Moto GP you get a
- 1:15:02lot more helicopter shots. You don't see that many
- 1:15:05helicopter shots in World Super Bike.
- 1:15:08And the reason for that? 5 gallons man 5.
- 1:15:10Gallons of the diesel fuel. Oh no, the reason for that is
- 1:15:13they. Don't have a helicopter like at
- 1:15:16many rounds, they don't have a helicopter and you're a top
- 1:15:19level sport. Get a fucking gloom, man.
- 1:15:21Buy a DJI. You could, you don't have to buy
- 1:15:24a whole helicopter, but you got to do something, man.
- 1:15:26You got to bring that quality up.
- 1:15:28And then again you need, I understand there's a cost
- 1:15:30involved in shipping everything to the Americas to to to the to
- 1:15:34the Western Hemisphere, but schedule it the way that Moto GP
- 1:15:38does. Do a round in South America and
- 1:15:40do a round in North America and the round in North America.
- 1:15:44Combine it with possibly some Moto America racing as well to
- 1:15:48benefit both series to give the American class here.
- 1:15:52You know, that's what we used to do when they used to go to
- 1:15:54Laguna Seca, the support series. They would have super bikes,
- 1:15:58they would have American super bikes racing at Laguna Seca
- 1:16:01alongside either Moto GP or World Super Bike.
- 1:16:05And then some of our American riders could even wild card in
- 1:16:09the Super Bike race that weekend.
- 1:16:12You know, this is this is how you go to sport.
- 1:16:14You got to grow interest from within the country.
- 1:16:16If they go to Asia or they go to some other Asian market, you
- 1:16:21know, have some of the riders there in World Super Bike
- 1:16:24compete with them. Obviously you can't do that with
- 1:16:26Moto GP because if I put a hooked up R1 next to a Ducati
- 1:16:31Moto GP bike that she's going to get the doors blown off of it.
- 1:16:34But in world super bike, you can technically build a super bike
- 1:16:37attack has a super bike attack in a race in world super bike on
- 1:16:41a super bike. Bring world super bike here.
- 1:16:43Have guys from here be able to wild card in that event, it'll
- 1:16:46draw more interest. Have Motor America be part of
- 1:16:48the event, it'll draw more interest.
- 1:16:50It'll help both series role and you got to bring World Super
- 1:16:54bike back to this hemisphere, man, you can't because right now
- 1:16:57what it's starting to look like to me is the European Motor
- 1:17:01America. They race in Europe and they.
- 1:17:04Do one or two rounds in some other places, but they're mainly
- 1:17:07a European racing. So then don't call it the world
- 1:17:09super bike. Man, at that point it's the
- 1:17:11European super bike. Get rid of BSB and just make.
- 1:17:15It the European super bike because you're killing the
- 1:17:17sport, man And and I as a fan that loves super bike, I
- 1:17:22actually love super bike racing, man.
- 1:17:23I like to know that these things, even though they're not
- 1:17:26anything like you get on the showroom floor, they're built
- 1:17:28off a showroom platform. They're built off something I
- 1:17:31could buy and obtain myself. It won't be the same, but at
- 1:17:35least I own something similar to what that guy that's that I'm a
- 1:17:39fan of can ride. I can never own a Ducati Moto GP
- 1:17:42bike. I can never own a Honda Moto GB
- 1:17:45bike, but I can't own a CBR1000. I can't own a Ducati V4R.
- 1:17:50You. Know and again these.
- 1:17:52Are these are things that are at the manufacturer level and at
- 1:17:55the Dorner Racing level that they have to see that yes, if
- 1:18:00you make a great bike and that bike wins, that technically that
- 1:18:04bike sells and that bike gives you the opportunity because it
- 1:18:07sells to reinvest in developing better bikes.
- 1:18:11And this is what Ducati's been doing and that's why they're so
- 1:18:13dominant and I can't take it away from them.
- 1:18:15A lot of people like to complain about the Ducati Cup that can't
