- 1:30I like that one. I like that.
- 1:31That's probably your best take on asking you that.
- 1:34Barking the growl. You want to give us another
- 1:35growl? All right, that's even worse.
- 1:38All right. Ladies and gentlemen, we call
- 1:40this in like Flynn. I've often heard that you'd give
- 1:44me a warm welcome if ever we met again.
- 1:49In like Flynn Flynn, Flynn. All right, hi, ladies and
- 1:54gentlemen. This week's in Lake Flynn is the
- 1:57top 10 franchises in the last five seasons of the MLB season.
- 2:04Yes, Bleacher Report did this a couple of months ago.
- 2:08And I, I thought it was very interesting.
- 2:10I got a chance to check it out and I, I think this is
- 2:13interesting. So at #10 Bleacher Report has
- 2:19the Cleveland Guardians A-Team that has not won in 75 years,
- 2:24but has one of the best players in all of baseball.
- 2:27And Jose Ramirez, A-Team that's been very consistent year in and
- 2:31year out. One of the best, one of the best
- 2:33rotations in baseball almost every single year over the last
- 2:37five years. And they're bullpen as dominant
- 2:39as can be. They just up and down when it
- 2:41comes to the defense. I I mean, as far as they're
- 2:44hitting and they're their lineup, so I would think that
- 2:49they would be higher than this. I would put them in a top 8.
- 2:54So I would disagree with them at #10.
- 2:57I would probably put at #10 the Texas Rangers.
- 3:01That's who I would put at #10 And Texas has had a sensational
- 3:06over. They've been sensational over
- 3:08the last five years. I kind of they won a World
- 3:11Series, Bruce Bocci. And now they've been
- 3:13transitioning. They've had now 3 managers in
- 3:16the last five years. It's pretty unique for a team to
- 3:20do that and and still win a World Series in the five years
- 3:23that they've done it. So I'm going to go Texas Rangers
- 3:26at #10 at #9 for this Bleacher Report.
- 3:32They have the Milwaukee Brewers. Milwaukee is being consistent
- 3:37year in and year out. David Stearns is now with the
- 3:40New York Mets, so very interesting how they have this,
- 3:44but a team that is 395 and 313 over the last five years.
- 3:50Four playoff appearances, two wins, wins above replacement
- 3:54163.9 The Brewers have been sensational.
- 3:58Good pitching rotation, good bullpen year in and year out and
- 4:01very young lineup that we've seen.
- 4:04I would think that Milwaukee is perfectly where they are.
- 4:07I I think they'd sit very perfect right over there at #9 I
- 4:11would put them there at #8 The New York Mets, Bleacher Reports
- 4:17has them 368 and 340 in the last five years.
- 4:22Two playoff appearances, eight wins, wins above a placement as
- 4:27160.3. Juan Soda had a great year this
- 4:31year. They've had they have a
- 4:33tremendous lineup, interesting young rotation in the future,
- 4:36but we're talking about the last five years.
- 4:38I would disagree. I don't have the Mets in the top
- 4:41ten. I I wouldn't put the Mets in the
- 4:43top 10 right now, but they put them at the top ten.
- 4:46I would have the Cleveland Guardians sitting right here at
- 4:49#8 And this is not hating on the Mets.
- 4:51I just I don't feel that the Mets have done enough to be in
- 4:54the top 10. I actually agree with you, even
- 4:56as a Mets. Fan.
- 4:57So I got the Cleveland Guardians at #8 at #7 they have the San
- 5:04Diego Padres. They're 380 and 328, a 537 win
- 5:12percentage, 3 appearances, 12 wins Win above replacement, 184
- 5:19sensational over the last couple of years.
- 5:21They have some good young pitchers.
- 5:23They have always had a good form system.
- 5:25Even though they like trading them away, they seem to do that
- 5:27very often. But and and they've played so
- 5:31very well over the last couple years and very consistent.
- 5:33I would say San Diego's perfect right where they're sitting as
- 5:37well. I don't agree with a lot of
- 5:38things Bleacher Report does, but I would agree with them here at
- 5:42#6 we have right, We're at number six.
- 5:46We have the they have the Tampa Bay Rays.
- 5:52They're 405 and 303. Twelve wins, American League
- 5:57championship in 2, two thousand 2199.9 win above replacement.
- 6:04Very interesting. I would think Tampa's a little
- 6:07higher than this. I would put them a little higher
- 6:09this. I'm not a big fan of their
- 6:11manager, but I think they've had this is a team that doesn't have
- 6:15a very big salary cap that they pretty much find players on this
- 6:21scrapheat. They have pitchers in their farm
- 6:23system that they develop. They do that very well and then
- 6:26they trade them away and they add to that roster every single
- 6:29time when they have these pitchers really develop over the
- 6:32years. So I would have Tampa higher
- 6:35than this. I would disagree with them.
- 6:38It's so interesting when I look at this and I'm trying to figure
- 6:41out where would I have them? You know what I would have, I'm
- 6:46going to, I'm going to put the New York Yankees there.
- 6:49I'm going to put the New York Yankees there.
- 6:50And I know a lot of Yankee fans are going to hate me for this.
- 6:53The Yankees have not won since 2009 and as good as they've been
- 6:59and consistent as they've been and I could, I could give you
- 7:01their record and, and I know a lot of Yankee fans are probably
- 7:04going to be discouraged on this. I don't care.
- 7:06I look at their 400 and 308 there.
- 7:10They have 4 appearances in the playoff, fifteen wins.
- 7:13They have an American League championship in 2024 and a 189.2
- 7:18a win above replacement. They don't hit in the playoffs,
- 7:22OK, And when you don't hit in the playoffs, you don't win.
- 7:26And they've done this year in and year out.
- 7:28I wouldn't put them in my top five.
- 7:30I'm sorry Yankee fans, I would not.
- 7:32So I would have the Yankees at number six at #5.
- 7:36That is the place I would have Tampa.
- 7:38I think Tampa has been consistent.
- 7:41I think the Tampa Bay Rays are the lowest, one of the lowest
- 7:44salaries in all the baseball. I gave you their statistics.
- 7:47They've had players that they really have traded away.
- 7:51Every time they look at Tyler Glass now, they let him go.
- 7:54They sent him to the Dodgers can't stay healthy.
- 7:56They they loaded up on that trade from the Dodgers, brought
- 8:00in a bunch of prospects that are developing right now in their
- 8:02farm system and on their team, on the roster.
- 8:05I would put them there at #4 I would have the Philadelphia
- 8:11Phillies. I I think they've been
- 8:12consistent, 382 and 326, three appearances, 20 wins.
- 8:18National League Championship in 2000 and 22183.2 win above the
- 8:23placement. Just think about this.
- 8:26Thompson was a bench coach for Joe Girardi, took over this
- 8:29team. This team has been completely
- 8:31different over the last three years.
- 8:32He's developed these players, they've brought players in,
- 8:35they've bought into Thompson. I love what Philadelphia has
- 8:39done over the last couple of years.
- 8:41And they did lose tonight, but still very successful.
- 8:44So I would have Philadelphia at #4 at #3 the Houston Astros.
- 8:51I would have them what higher than this?
- 8:53I think the Astros have been very consistent over the years.
- 8:56I can't stand the organization as a whole.
- 8:59I so I'm going to move them up. The Atlanta Braves The Atlanta
- 9:03Braves are 400 and 17200 and 9021 wins in five appearances in
- 9:09the playoffs, a National League and a World Series in 2021 Win
- 9:13above replacement 211.5. The problem with them over the
- 9:17last two years is health, and if you look at the last five years,
- 9:21they're consistent but can't stay healthy and they didn't
- 9:24make the playoffs this year. So I would have them outside of
- 9:29the top two. I would have Atlanta at #3.
- 9:32I would have Houston #2 a Houston consistency, 400 and
- 9:38eight, 299, five appearances, 34 wins, American League
- 9:42championship, a World Series championship, which they
- 9:45cheated, as we all know. Nevertheless, they've been so
- 9:48very consistent, 206.5 win above replacement success.
- 9:53They've had so many great young talented players.
- 9:56They've developed Kyla Tuckle, Kyle Tucker, Alex Bregman, your
- 10:02your Dan Alvarez, I mean, and Jose Altuve, they've been very,
- 10:06very good. And they're pitching staff,
- 10:08Verlander, I mean, Garrett Cole, all these young guys, they have
- 10:12Alvarez. They're just really, really
- 10:14good. So I'd have them at #2 and at #1
- 10:18yes, I'm going to put them there and I'm probably going to win
- 10:21the World Series again this year.
- 10:24Back-to-back championships, the Los Angeles Dodgers 458 and 255
- 10:30appearances, 31 wins, National League World Series championship
- 10:35in 2020 and 2 thousand 24233.3 wins above replacement.
- 10:42Yes, Otani has won how many MVPS they've got Mookie bats, Freddie
- 10:48Freeman. I mean, this team is loaded.
- 10:50I you can't argue it. So that, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:54is in like Flynn this week. Number one, I hate to say it,
- 10:59the Dodgers. Number six, the Yankees falling
- 11:02out of the top five. And not top 10 The Mets.
- 11:05And not top 10 the Mets. And I wouldn't, I would agree
- 11:07with you. They're just not, I'm sorry, I
- 11:09don't know what Bleacher, there's somebody on Bleacher
- 11:12Report that's a Mets fan because you cannot honestly put the Mets
- 11:15there. They haven't even been in a
- 11:19World Series in the last five years.
- 11:21Yeah, I would. I would probably say maybe
- 11:23Seattle cracks the list at that point because they made the
- 11:25playoffs a bunch and they developed players well.
- 11:28Maybe I I, I still think Seattle's looking out with all
- 11:31the teams that I mentioned. I think yeah, I'm.
- 11:33Just trying to figure out like who I would replace the Mets
- 11:34with in the top 10, but I'd like there are there are options of
- 11:37like better player developments? Absolutely.
- 11:39All right. How did you guys like that job?
- 11:41You like that? You like that list?
- 11:44Yeah. I mean, there's there's a couple
- 11:46I would have probably. I mean, yeah, the Braves is
- 11:49tough just because of the injuries.
- 11:53God, I mean, it's first time ever that the Opening Day
- 11:56starting 5 has ever been hurt. And they were all on the DL.
- 11:59Yeah, I would, I would have had the M's just for the the young
- 12:05guys and the things they've done.
- 12:07But other than that, I might have had the Yankees in the top
- 12:11five getting to the World Series, But I I don't hate that
- 12:15because it's literally been the same MO for like the last 1215
- 12:19years. So yeah, it was, it was, yeah,
- 12:21I, I don't hate it. I mean, obviously the Houston
- 12:24cheating, you know, that's never going to end, but.
- 12:26It's the last five years they weren't cheating that it was
- 12:272017 and 19. No, yeah.
- 12:30Right. It's not going to discredit them
- 12:31there. The the Phillies and the Yankees
- 12:33are kind of interchangeable because they both have spent a
- 12:35lot of money and they both have some development with young
- 12:37players but don't with others. I always said the top four, I
- 12:40always said were the Dodgers, the Astros, the Braves and the
- 12:42Rays. Like the Rays are the low market
- 12:44geniuses, the Braves and Astros middle market, and the Dodgers
- 12:46obviously spending its on. It I have to put the.
- 12:48Rays in my top. Four too, so.
- 12:50The Rays, they for sure I would. And the guard, it's with what
- 12:55the guardians have done year in and year out to like somehow
- 12:59finding a way and like you get the Bieber's and you know, even
- 13:03Quantrell when he was there, obviously he's, he's kind of
- 13:06digressed a little bit. But yeah, they, they always seem
- 13:09to, to be there and never, never like get over the hump, but
- 13:14they're always there. I might have been a little bit
- 13:16higher because I just, I like to, I think I'm very biased too,
- 13:19because I love Rammer, but I and I love Stephen Vogt.
- 13:22He's fantastic. And I'd like what their front
- 13:24office has done all. Right, King of the Hill.
- 13:28Here's the King of the Hill. This, Bobby, is the Beltline.
- 13:32You never ever hit below that. Not that kind of king of the
- 13:36hill, you dumb. This is King of the Hill.
- 13:43All right guys, welcome back to another episode of King of the
- 13:47Hill, everyone's favorite trivia game, where there's going to be
- 13:534 people trying to reclaim the mantle of king for the week.
- 13:57Our reigning king is Speedy PD. Everyone else will compete in
- 14:01round one, the peasant fight, which will be a category.
- 14:05We'll have 3 answers each and it'll go in snake fantasy draft
- 14:09order. So first person to go, it'll all
- 14:11the way go to the fourth person will make 2 picks and then back
- 14:13and forth. Round 2 will be the joust where
- 14:16the king will decide who moves on to round two to have a chance
- 14:20for round three to take on the king, where everyone who lost
- 14:24and myself will be hosting will be the Democratic Voters of the
- 14:28championship round. Are you guys ready to play King
- 14:32of the Hill Baseball edition? Yeah.
- 14:36All right. Here we go, boys.
- 14:37Round one peasant fight. Best defensive players in M MLB
- 14:44history. I'm giving you a wide breadth of
- 14:49players to select from from all of baseball.
- 14:51Some of the great legends not even telling you a specific
- 14:54position to go for. I want to know the all time
- 14:58greats. There are four of you.
- 15:00There will be 12 players selected.
- 15:02Let's get to the King of the Hill match up here.
- 15:06Here I am up here if it'll start working and the king is Speedy.
- 15:13All right, so we'll start with this order that we have left to
- 15:17right. It'll be Tommy, Errol, Jabba and
- 15:20then Jared for two starting us off Tommy scoops.
- 15:24All right, I'm going to start off over in the center field.
- 15:26Mr. Mr. Willie Mays, of course, very, very famous for being on
- 15:31the Giants, of course, arguably the most competitive and the
- 15:35most complete outfielder ever. He had incredible reads.
- 15:39The range of him was, it was absolutely impeccable.
- 15:42And hey, he just defines absolute defensive greatness,
- 15:46absolute stud during the 1954 World Series.
- 15:50So hey, I just got to say Mr. Willie Mays as my first pick.
- 15:56Errol. You know, it's so interesting
- 15:58when you look at statistics and records and I have to go with
- 16:02this guy. I think he's the greatest
- 16:03defensive player of all time. I don't think I can argue.
- 16:05I don't think anybody. I mean, what what kind of
- 16:08nickname is this? The Wizard of Oz, Ozzy Smith,
- 16:14one of the greatest defensive players, Shortstop, hardest one
- 16:17of you. I would argue, I know Jabba
- 16:19would say catcher is the hardest of it defensive position to
- 16:22play. I think the shortstop is because
- 16:24you got to react reflexes and Ozzie Smith is the best.
- 16:27If you look at all the great defensive players at their
- 16:30position, listen to this defensive war.
- 16:34He's 44.2. The next closest one is Mark
- 16:39Bellinger, which is 39.5. We're talking about Brooks
- 16:43Robinson, Cal Ripken, Junior, Joe Tinker, all these guys.
- 16:47This guy's war is 44.2. I'm going to Wizard of Oz.
- 16:52Defensive war 44. I didn't even know that was
- 16:55possible, Jabba. I'm going to go a different
- 16:58route and in the aspect of I'm going to go Greg Maddox all
- 17:05time. He has 18, he won 13 in a row
- 17:11and you it's not the sexiest, but you got to realize he's
- 17:14throwing a ball and then fielding his position.
- 17:16He had 14 plus years where he had no errors.
- 17:18And that's we're talking PF PS. We saw what PF PS just did in
- 17:22this Dodgers and Phillies game. He saved himself a lot of runs.
- 17:26And so when you talk about the greatest of all time, he has the
- 17:30most ever 13 in a row and a fielding percentage higher than
- 17:36a lot. So I, I went a little bit off
- 17:39the beaten path, but it, it speaks for itself.
- 17:42And I love everybody says the pitchers aren't athletes.
- 17:45That's horseshit. Greg Maddox was incredible at
- 17:50everything. Have you ever seen that one
- 17:52where he dressed up as an old man and pitched like batting
- 17:55practice to Chris Bryant? To Chris Bryant is a Red Bull
- 17:58commercial. Yeah, that was that was a good
- 18:00one, Jarrett. For two, all right, first pick,
- 18:05I'm going to go with Brooks Robinson, the Grace Fielding
- 18:08third baseman of all time, 16 Gold Gloves, World Series.
- 18:12He won an MVP with just basically above average hitting
- 18:15stats. Not even close really.
- 18:17The greatest defensive third baseman of all time.
- 18:19Second pick is going to be Andrew Jones.
- 18:23Not the first name that comes to mind really with defensive
- 18:26outfielders. Michael, Willie Mays, Michael
- 18:27Griffey, but he has the highest defensive WAR of any outfielder
- 18:31ever. Tyndall gloves.
- 18:34Yeah, he's the man. Damn it, I was hoping.
- 18:37I was hoping he would get skipped over.
- 18:39As a Braves fan that is. I was like the Braves.
- 18:42Fans him skip them over. I know.
- 18:46Jabba. I am going to have to go.
- 18:50I'm going to go just because I got a chance to throw to him
- 18:54when I was in New York. People forget that he was a
- 18:57Yankee for a while. I'm going to go Pudge.
- 19:01Just there was so many like catchers that kind of made
- 19:06catching sexy. You had Benito with the leg out,
- 19:09You had Tony Pena, but Pudge made throwing dudes out like
- 19:13sexy. Mind you, it pissed me off when
- 19:15you call a fastball away every time somebody was on 1st.
- 19:18But just the way he would catch and change position and also hit
- 19:22two and then to be able to win 13 Gold Gloves and and do it the
- 19:28way he did was was special. Oh, I'm going to with the number
- 19:33one guy, the defensive first baseman of all time, 11 Gold
- 19:38Gloves, Mr. Keith Hernandez. I don't think you can argue this
- 19:43guy was the greatest first baseman defensively that ever
- 19:47played. You can argue him and Don
- 19:48Manley. You can go back and forth.
- 19:50But what he did was sensational, playing for Saint Louis and then
- 19:54jumping ship and going to the Mets and winning their last
- 19:57World Series and might be the only one in the next 50 years.
- 20:00Ladies and gentlemen, the one and only Keith Hernandez.
- 20:07Tommy Foops. For a deuce.
- 20:09All right, for the deuce, for my first of the deuce, I'm going to
- 20:13go with guy who's pretty synonymous within baseball.
- 20:16You know, a lot of people who don't know baseball can know, of
- 20:19course, Mr. 10, Griffey Junior, of course, Mr. 10 Gold Gloves.
- 20:22He was just absolutely breathtaking when it came to
- 20:25absolutely stealing home runs, a home run robber you could call
- 20:28him. And of course, just made the
- 20:30defense look effortlessly. And he did it with such grace
- 20:33too. No one did it with such swagger
- 20:35like Mr. Griffey Junior. And for my next, I'm going to go
- 20:38with Mr. Roberto Clemente on the, of course, the Pittsburgh
- 20:42Pirates 12 Gold Glove winner, the greatest knowing arm in
- 20:46right field history, and his precision and absolute strength
- 20:50is what made him one of the best defensive players of all time.
- 20:53So give me Roberto Clemente. And my final right?
- 20:59It's 3, right? This is your hottest?
- 21:01Yeah. My final one is the greatest.
- 21:04Some people say catcher of all time, the one and only bench
- 21:08himself. Johnny Bench.
- 21:10I'm going with Johnny Tango gloves.
- 21:13You can argue or you could argue Pudge was the greatest.
- 21:15He's not. Johnny Bench is the greatest.
- 21:18You could argue also Yogi Berra, but I'm going Johnny B Bench.
- 21:26I'm. Going to I'm going to go another
- 21:29Homer just because the story of how it turned into this and he
- 21:34has the most ever in left field. The kid from Lincoln himself,
- 21:38Alex Gordon, went from playing third to winning two straight
- 21:44Platinum Gold Gloves, was almost out of baseball, figured out how
- 21:47to play left field and literally won it for seven straight years,
- 21:52took a year off because he got hurt and then won again.
- 21:54And it's the most ever from a left fielder that started as a
- 21:57third baseman. Alex.
- 22:00And last but not least, Jared, I'm.
- 22:04Going to go with a guy who's not any of those like big
- 22:07statistics, like accumulative boards.
- 22:10He didn't play very long, and that's because he couldn't hit
- 22:13Andrelton Simmons. He was the best building
- 22:16shortstop in the league for probably four or five years.
- 22:19It was like head and shoulders above the rest of the league.
- 22:22I think he's got at least one Platinum Glove.
- 22:25You might have two, but that gun, the guy was a 240 hitter,
- 22:29was an All Star like every year for a couple years.
- 22:33All right. Those are the picks in the first
- 22:35round. There are two guys here any.
- 22:37There are two guys, Tori Hunter's one that I I love.
- 22:41I think he's one of the greatest defensive center field as I've
- 22:43team nuts. Yeah, he was fantastic.
- 22:46And Don Mattingly, you can argue him and Keith Anders, the two
- 22:50best defensive first baseman and I, people don't realize how
- 22:53important the first base is, especially reflexes and stuff
- 22:57like that. So job, you know, so it's
- 23:00fantastic and Mark to share it too.
- 23:02People forget how great Mark was.
- 23:03Too, I hated Tex. I loved him, but I hated him
- 23:07because I mean he made my fat ass run over there and he would
- 23:12take it to himself. I'm like dog, just tell me so I
- 23:15ain't got to run over there, bro.
- 23:16Me and Cece would get so mad he's like dog I'm running over
- 23:20there. At least give show me some love.
- 23:22And damn, does that mean he's going to get your congressional
- 23:24voter over he's running for. Oh, no, no, I'm voting.
- 23:27Hey, you know Tex. Tex got that look too of him.
- 23:31He's, he's going to win. I, I love his ads.
- 23:33I follow him and he's great. He's he's.
- 23:35You should make him do sprints before you do it though.
- 23:37He's got the old school 3/4 zip, you know, with the collared
- 23:41underneath it. Yeah, it's Tex.
- 23:42Tex going. Oh.
- 23:44Sandy, he's made it over. Hi, Sandy.
- 23:48Jarrett, I will say you had a very good first battle for your
- 23:51for King of the Hill. That was a very impressive
- 23:53showcase you had with a lot of the defensive players you pick.
- 23:56I definitely have to pick Arrow. I Ozzy Smith is the number one
- 23:58overall to me. Brooks Robinson would probably
- 24:01be second. Jarrett, you end up picking him.
- 24:02But I did like your argument job before Greg Maddox.
- 24:05I think individually that was a good argument.
- 24:08So that gives you the slight edge over Jarrett.
- 24:10I'm going to pick Arrow and Jabba, but Jarrett, very good
- 24:13paddle. All right, you guys pop out.
- 24:16We're going to go to Round 2, the joust round two best playoff
- 24:23pitchers in MLB history. Guys, This is the topic of the
- 24:30moment right now. We talked about Clayton Kershaw
- 24:33not being a good playoff pitcher.
- 24:34Got shelled yesterday, even though it wasn't really fair.
- 24:36They had to go in. Tanner Scott was hurt, was
- 24:38taking off the roster, so he had to go but go an extra inning.
- 24:41Didn't go well, obviously. Tommy.
- 24:45I'm sorry, Tommy Speedy, who's starting off round Number.
- 24:50Let's go to Errol. All right, Errol, start us off
- 24:55best. Playoff pitchers.
- 24:56We had a full blown conversation about the.
- 24:59I always try to do it so it's like I've been.
- 25:02Already talking. I know you're you're cool with
- 25:04him, so I'm not going to go with him.
- 25:06I'm going. No, I mean you have to.
- 25:09I'm not he. Has the most innings pitched in
- 25:11the postseason ever. I'm going to go with somebody
- 25:13else. I'm going to let you have them.
- 25:14All right, I'm going to go. With not even going to take him
- 25:17because. It's a given.
- 25:19Well, you should take him you. Should take him.
- 25:21Well, I'm going to take somebody else first.
- 25:26I'm going with Madison Bumgard. I mean, come on, dominant guy
- 25:31played for the giants. I I mean the championships.
- 25:34He was everything to what that that team was at that dominant
- 25:38time. It was sensational.
- 25:40I'm going to go Madison Bumgarner and I'll see as MVP in
- 25:432014, World Series champion in 2014 and and three time World
- 25:47Series champion in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
- 25:51My father, no. Jabba.
- 25:54Yeah, you can. You can say whatever you want,
- 25:55but that doesn't come close to Moe.
- 25:57Moe is a .7 in the postseason with 141 innings pitched.
- 26:01Enough said. Game over.
- 26:03See you, Errol. You're out.
- 26:04Get out of here. What do you do?
- 26:06Get out of here. That's not, I mean, excuse me.
- 26:10All right, we can keep going. That's fine.
- 26:12Errol. Here's what I'm going to say,
- 26:14and I'm going to take you out on that one.
- 26:16I'm going to go with Curt Schilling.
- 26:19Curt Schilling, who's 11 and two in the.
- 26:21First of all, I will. I'm going to shut this off
- 26:23because he is the biggest piece of.
- 26:25Shit I know, but I'm going to have to go with him.
- 26:28He's 11 and two in the playoffs, 11 and 2 with a 2.23 ERA, 133.1
- 26:35innings pitched. I, I mean, I can't stand the
- 26:38guy. Couldn't stand him against the
- 26:40Yankees. Couldn't stand him.
- 26:42He'll always beat the Yankees. He demolished the Yankees.
- 26:45He won a championship with Arizona.
- 26:47He was the big reason why they won.
- 26:49And and by the way, he was also a big reason why the Boston Red
- 26:52Sox won a championship too. So I'm going Curt Schilling.
- 26:57I have to pick him. I don't even want to do this
- 27:00because I hate. That I know, I know.
- 27:02But the Giants are going to do this.
- 27:04This is unbelievable. I know that's crazy.
- 27:06They picked off Hertz and took it like 80 yards the other way,
- 27:09got into the red zone. If Jalen Hyatt didn't suck, it
- 27:12would have been a touchdown just now.
- 27:13But they called Pi. It's crazy, unbelievable back.
- 27:18Who's next? You can have Kurt Schilling.
- 27:20Jabba, you got over to Jabba. For yeah, well then now
- 27:24obviously I'm going to take pet with, I mean, literally a full
- 27:28season and the playoffs. I think it was like almost 300
- 27:32if not more. Nineteen wins.
- 27:34I mean a full blown season clinching games and six post
- 27:39seasons. Yeah, I'm running him out there
- 27:42every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
- 27:46And now, lady, my last one, right?
- 27:48I'm going with the guy. The guy, the gift, the myth and
- 27:53always been a legend. Stop, fish.
- 27:55Calm down. You're out of your mind.
- 27:58Yeah, we're doubling up the Eagles, Dude, this is crazy.
- 28:02OK, this is the same thing that this is the same thing that
- 28:05happened to Eagles last year. I'm going with Sandy.
- 28:08The Giants haven't beat the Austins.
- 28:10Vietnam. I'm talking about the Eagles.
- 28:13It is. It's been a long time.
- 28:14I'm going. Sandy Koufax 7 starts in the
- 28:17World Series, four complete games, 2 shutouts, 0.95 ERA, 2
- 28:22World Series MVPS. The guy was unbelievable.
- 28:26I'm going with the lefty Santiko as my final pick.
- 28:32Jabba to round it out. Final round it see this is this
- 28:36is where it's going to get interesting for me how back I'm
- 28:40going to have to go. You know what I'm going to go
- 28:47oral Hershiser. I mean, it's just the way that
- 28:52he did it in the postseason, which I was, I was kind of what
- 28:58am I going to pick for it? But I mean, he literally had a
- 29:03700 winning percentage. He had like a 2 or AI mean.
- 29:08He was ALCSMVPNLCSMVP and he did it with not great hitting and I
- 29:20I he just snuck in late. There were some Christy Mattson,
- 29:24there's some old ones that I had but I didn't get to see it and
- 29:27but Oral's in there and and he's a weird cat and I like him just
- 29:31because he is weird. All right, Java.
- 29:34That's it for this round. Speedy time for the.
- 29:37Kings decision, you guys both did really well with that one.
- 29:41It's it's tough because Jabba, you picked a lot more than that,
- 29:44had larger samples and Errol picked one with a lot more like
- 29:47storylines, like the Giants, obviously winning the 3/5.
- 29:50Years almost almost went Smoltz because he was on both sides.
- 29:53Obviously with the break in the Curse of the Diamondback with
- 29:56the Red Sox, and then obviously doing with the Diamondbacks, too
- 29:58with Sandy Kofax, Oh God, this is tough.
- 30:02This was a great battle. I think I can't knock.
- 30:08You're still against Errol. He picks you up, That's fine.
- 30:12No, I can't knock a sample size though.
- 30:15I, I can't like discredit a team that like hasn't, hasn't been
- 30:18there for a while. And I think the Dodgers kind of
- 30:20lucked out with that 81 year. So I'm going to give it to
- 30:22Errol. Wow.
- 30:25All right, so it was Carol versus.
- 30:27Speedy. In the finals, everybody would
- 30:29have back in. I would have gone not oral, but
- 30:32that I think was the. Yeah, we know that.
- 30:34We know the direction you go. It's not oral.
- 30:36We we get it. Yeah.
- 30:37That's right. You're damn right I don't.
- 30:39Go that way. I was going to go Bob Gibson
- 30:41because he's from Omaha, too. Jerry.
- 30:43That might have given you the win Java.
- 30:44I think that would have given you the other.
- 30:47I'd already gone Nebraska. I wouldn't.
- 30:49I wouldn't. I would have been.
- 30:51We've been probably confident to pick you if you pick a Gibson.
- 30:54It's loose. All right, so here is the last
- 30:58round where you get to take on the king.
- 31:03Here's the topic, Everybody waiting with bated breath.
- 31:07As they say, best managers in baseball history.
- 31:15All right, we got some good ones going right now, but I want to
- 31:18know all time. I want the legends I want.
- 31:22This could go so many ways. This is a really open and fun
- 31:26question because it depends on a little bit of fandom, and it
- 31:30depends also on how much you think certain errors deserve to
- 31:33be represented. So here we are.
- 31:36Time to take on the King, Errol Marx.
- 31:39Can you reclaim your throne, Speedy?
- 31:41You want to go first or second. I will go 1st.
- 31:43I'm going to take, I'm going to take Tommy Lasorda in this one.
- 31:45Obviously with the like Errol mentioned before with Koufax, I
- 31:48think really rebirthing the the Dodgers over there, going over
- 31:52there to LA, inheriting A-Team from another very good manager
- 31:55with Walter Alston. But taking that over, making it
- 31:57his own and had a great, tremendous, tremendous longevity
- 32:01for a long time, winning in the 60s and winning some in the 80s
- 32:04as well with, yes, Oral Hershiser, who I just barely did
- 32:07not pick, Jabba, I'm sorry. And then an 88 as well with
- 32:09probably what is considered one of the best teams in that
- 32:12particular range of 20 years. So I'm going to go with Lasorda
- 32:14as my first. Errol, I'm going Sparky.
- 32:18Anderson I'm I have to go with Sparky.
- 32:20Sparkies to me in my eyes, the greatest manager of all time
- 32:25three time World Series champion 1975197619842 time American lead
- 32:31manager of the year in ninety 1984 and 87 Sparky I remember
- 32:35him as the manager of the Detroit Tigers.
- 32:39Really the the personality and and all you ask all the managers
- 32:43that who they went to when it came to the 80s and the 90s and
- 32:47having a conversation and trying to get information about
- 32:49baseball, one of the most knowledgeable baseball people in
- 32:53baseball history. I'm going Sparky Anderson.
- 32:57All. Right, I'll take Tony Larussa as
- 32:59my next one. I know his last thing with the
- 33:01White Sox was bad, but I'm not going to hold that against him
- 33:03or what he did with the Cardinals, what he did with the
- 33:05Oakland Athletics at that time. Managed for a very long time to
- 33:081/3 World Series back-to-back in in the 90s with the A's and
- 33:12obviously winning it with the Cardinals too.
- 33:14Like Errol's mentioned many times, has coached a lot of
- 33:15different Hall of Famers. Some of that maybe shouldn't be
- 33:17Hall of Famers, but he's coached some very good players in his
- 33:19career. So I'll give him Larussa the
- 33:20second all. Right back to Errol.
- 33:24I cannot put this guy in the top three managers of all time in my
- 33:28book. I don't.
- 33:30I never saw him manage, but I know all about him.
- 33:32Casey Stengel. I you cannot put Stengel in the
- 33:37top three nine time World Series champion 192119221949 to
- 33:42195319561958 New York Yankees retired him at the his number
- 33:49set 37 and and and really everything that he stood for for
- 33:53the New York Yankees in the organization and winning winning
- 33:57the winningest manager of all time.
- 34:00I'm going with Casey Stangler. All right, last picks, Speedy.
- 34:05All right, I'm going to go with the winningest manager in MLB
- 34:08history, that is Connie Mack, who did it with the Philadelphia
- 34:11Athletics at that time, managed for a very long time and winning
- 34:15about 3000 games in his career to I think it's like 3600 or
- 34:19something like that. He didn't win his winning World
- 34:21Series as some of the other managers in that era like
- 34:23McCarthy and I forget the one who managed the Giants, New York
- 34:27Giants at that time, but definitely for a very long time
- 34:29with a team that had a lot of Hall of Farmers as well, But
- 34:32they couldn't keep their players like a lot of the other teams
- 34:34could. So I'm going to give it to him
- 34:35for the last one. All right.
- 34:37And Errol? All right.
- 34:39I would like to go with Joe Torre, but I'm not, I'm not
- 34:42going with Joe Torre. I'm not going to do it.
- 34:45I'm going to go with this guy because I think he is so under
- 34:49appreciated except for the Atlanta Braves fans and I'm
- 34:52going with Bobby Cox. I think Bobby Cox is one of the
- 34:55winningest coaches, managers of all time for baseball history.
- 34:59Look at this record 2504 wins. He's won two World Series.
- 35:07Obviously 1 is a player and 1 is a manager.
- 35:10This is a four time manager of the year in 19851991, 2004,
- 35:152005. Atlanta Braves retired at his
- 35:18number six Braves Hall of Famer. A Baseball Hall of Famer, The
- 35:24one and only. You know it.
- 35:27Bobby Cox. You know he was a Yankee, right?
- 35:30Yeah, I know. 1968 to 1969. I know, I know.
- 35:34So guys, just read Speedy read off your three, Errol, read off
- 35:38your three, and then we're going to vote.
- 35:39All right, so I went with Tommy Lasorda with my first one.
- 35:45I went with. All right, forget this.
- 35:49Connie Mack with my second one and Tony Larussa was my third.
- 35:52I went with Spark. I went with Sparky Anderson,
- 35:55Casey Stengel and then Bobby Cox.
- 35:59Yeah, I mean, those are really good lists.
- 36:02Obviously Connie Mack from yesteryear.
- 36:05Same with Casey Stengel. I'm going to give the edge to
- 36:08Casey on that one. I'm going to give the edge to
- 36:10Sparky over Lasorda. close between Bobby Cox and Larussa.
- 36:14I like Cox better. I'm going with Errol tonight.
- 36:18All right, let's go to Tommy. Going to me.
- 36:20I'm going to stay with Speedy. I want Speedy to keep the crown.
- 36:23You know I like the pics with Lasorda, Connie Mack, and of
- 36:26course Larusso, so I'm going to have to go.
- 36:29Look, so where do I say Karate Kid now?
- 36:31Mr. I was just about to say, what is this?
- 36:34Sweep the leg. Yeah, I'm going with Speedy.
- 36:38All right, tied 11. Let's go to Jared.
- 36:42Yeah, I'm also going to go with Errol.
- 36:44I just have Bobby Cox and Sparky Anderson really high.
- 36:47Casey Stengel. It's a little before the air
- 36:49time here I was looking at. But Connie Mack to me was one of
- 36:52those where he just managed a really, really long time, didn't
- 36:57actually win that many World Series, had a losing record
- 36:59overall. So tangle over him, Sparky
- 37:02Anderson and Bobby Cox just too much. 2:00 to.
- 37:06One Java. Yeah, Errol for me, obviously
- 37:13kind of even on a couple love Connie Mack.
- 37:16Obviously Connie Mack kind of started that aspect there.
- 37:20I mean, they're still the Connie Mack Baseball League.
- 37:22So there was other aspects that I look, Bobby Cox also one of
- 37:25the most ejected managers, but also to what a lot of people
- 37:28don't know about Bobby Cox was he was an unbelievable general
- 37:31manager and he is literally the sole guy that drafted Larry
- 37:36Wayne. And because nobody wanted to
- 37:38take him that early because he's a nobody from from Georgia and
- 37:42he was the general manager that that said, we're taking this kid
- 37:46and how'd that turn out? And, and I'm a brave historian,
- 37:49so. There it is, the votes are three
- 37:52to one. Only a one week or one game
- 37:55rather. Rain for Speedy, the crown is
- 37:59yours. Once again our remarks.
- 38:00Congratulations, you are the winner, King of the Hill.
- 38:04Surprised Jabba picked me but I I know I looked at Speedy, I
- 38:09knew he was going to go old with Connie Mack, but I never saw
- 38:12Casey Stengel coach but I know all about him and Yogi.
- 38:16I never met Yogi, but every time Yogi spoke about a manager, he
- 38:20said Casey was the brightest one he's ever been around.
- 38:23So and, and Yogi was a manager and Yogi is a historian.
- 38:28Jabba, you know that you, you sat down and had conversations
- 38:30with Yogi so and he said Casey Stengel is one of the smartest
- 38:33men he's ever been around. So and I, I, there's a lot of
- 38:36other guys I look at. I mean, Joe Torre, you say
- 38:39whatever you want. Joe Torre was a good manager.
- 38:42He had great teams around it, but you have to, you have to
- 38:45you, you have to be around personalities.
- 38:47You have to coach personalities. He coached Joppa Chamberlain, he
- 38:50coached Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, Bernie Williams,
- 38:53Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada, Andy Pettit.
- 38:56And he did it in such a, you know, a unique way.
- 38:59And he let these guys be themselves.
- 39:01And I think that is what I believe.
- 39:04Joe Torre. What made Joe Torre so special
- 39:06wasn't his greatness of managing.
- 39:08It's just letting everybody be themselves and letting them do
- 39:11what they're good at. And I knew he hated Alex
- 39:14Rodriguez. We all know he hated Alex
- 39:16Rodriguez, hence the reason why he moved them all around that
- 39:19lineup. But I, I think that Joe Torre
- 39:22has a reason for everything, even though I think he's
- 39:25terrible, terrible right now as the what is he the, the VP?
- 39:29Vice president of baseball operations in the league office.
- 39:32I think it is terrible right now what's going on in baseball.
- 39:35He's not. He he overseas.
- 39:37He overseas the if you challenge a call too.
- 39:39Yeah, I don't like it. He actually he he got my ERA
- 39:43from like a 4.8 because Nick Castillanos was playing third
- 39:47base when I was with the Tigers and a ball hit off his glove and
- 39:50they scored three runs. We appealed it and he was
- 39:53overseeing the appeal process. I went from like a 4.8 and this
- 39:56was kind of early in the season so I didn't have a lot of
- 39:58innings, to a 1.1. I was like, that's my dude.
- 40:02Yeah, not everybody could transform and play a good
- 40:05defensive outfield after that like Alex Gordon did.
- 40:08Yeah. Well, it's all I believe it.
- 40:10It's all about personalities and Joe Tory was the best when it
- 40:13came to working and really pounding on people's
- 40:17personalities. I think that's what made him
- 40:19special. Remember, think about it, Paul
- 40:21O'Neill, look at that personality.
- 40:22Tino Martinez. I mean, all the greats.
- 40:24He brought Scotty Brosius there and Scotty Brosius became an A
- 40:28subpar player to an end World Series MVP and and the run that
- 40:33he he made as as a third baseman, great defensive player.
- 40:37I mean, there were so many great things about Joe Torre, and I
- 40:39give him a lot of credit for his manage management position and
- 40:44what he did for the New York Yankees.
- 40:45All right, we call this What's that smell?
- 40:49Hold up, what is that smell? What's that?
- 40:55Smell. Wow, you don't see that every
- 40:59day. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 41:01for my What's that smell? We're going to go very simple.
- 41:05You guys know the story. I don't have to tell you guys.
- 41:08They're going to tell you a story or a specific thing that's
- 41:11going on in sports or the world and they're going to tell you
- 41:14what it smells like. So we're going to go poops.
- 41:18We're going to go Jarrett, we're going to go fish Speedy Jabba
- 41:22me. Here we go, all.
- 41:24Right, so to start my thing off with my What's that smell?
- 41:28I'm going over to the NFL, to a quarterback that I much adore.
- 41:32I love this dude so much, and it just pains me that he's now in
- 41:36his third year. I believe so, yeah, he's now in
- 41:39his third year and he's not playing the best, hasn't really
- 41:42played the best since his rookie year.
- 41:43But I'm talking about Mr. CJ Stroud, and more importantly,
- 41:47I'm talking about a comment that he made over this past weekend
- 41:50when reviewing an old footage of himself.
- 41:53He looked at the footage and said that, wow, I used to be so
- 41:55much faster. I'm too old now at the age of
- 41:5923, mind you. Like that's that's exactly my
- 42:01age. We are the same exact age, Mr.
- 42:03CJ Stroud. So, yeah, CJ, what are you
- 42:07talking about, bro? Look, man, like I said, I
- 42:09absolutely adore the guy. I love the guy and the fact that
- 42:12he has a terrible offensive line.
- 42:13He has receivers that are made of absolute peanut brittle.
- 42:17It just, it annoys me. It annoys me because you want to
- 42:19see the guy do well. But when you make comments like
- 42:21this, look, Mr. Stroud, it's not, it's not very, it's not
- 42:26very kosher. It's not doesn't make a lot of
- 42:28sense. So yes, like I said, the
- 42:30offensive line is trash and he's calling himself out of his
- 42:34prime. Like I said, at 23 years old, if
- 42:36you were out of your prime at 23 years old, I would love to see
- 42:39what you look like a couple years from now.
- 42:41So what does it smell like? Well, it smells like the
- 42:44stinkiest animal in the Houston Zoo, which is either the
- 42:47hippopotamus or the elephant. And since I was somebody that
- 42:51actually went to the Houston Zoo with it being 100° over there,
- 42:55that smell that that heat company with the smell, it's not
- 42:59pretty pretty. So yeah, that's what we're going
- 43:02with. All right, Jared.
- 43:07All right, I'm changing mind based off tonight's results so
- 43:10far. I'm a New Orleans Saints fan.
- 43:13My dad's from New Orleans. I have a lot of family in New
- 43:15Orleans. The Giants kicked ass, gets the
- 43:18Chargers, and now the Eagles. So far, the Saints are a bad
- 43:22team. We want to be bad.
- 43:24We want to go oh, and 17. There's a reason Spencer
- 43:27Rattlers at quarterback. It is not to win games.
- 43:29We need draft picks and they can't take care of business
- 43:32against us. Are you kidding me?
- 43:35Come kick our ass. That's that's what we're for
- 43:37right now. We're free win, We'll kick our
- 43:39ass. And now we're staring down the
- 43:41Titans and The Jets and now #1 seems potentially out of reach
- 43:45because we're going to beat the Falcons at least once this year.
- 43:47Yeah, probably. So we're looking at 2 and 15,
- 43:49maybe even 3 and 14 if we find another win.
- 43:52That's terrible. Tries crazy.
- 43:54It smells. It smells like boudin.
- 43:56Boudin smells delicious. Smells great.
- 43:59When you really learn what's in it, it starts to stink.
- 44:02It starts to feel a little worse.
- 44:04So who would have? Thought it's good.
- 44:05Though in some cases. Boudin.
- 44:07That's good. Who would have thought one of
- 44:09our interns had the first. What's that smell based on?
- 44:11Spencer Rattler, not Errol. That's true.
- 44:14They can't stand. That man, they just threw a flag
- 44:16on Scataboo for lowering his head because he's a savage.
- 44:20He's gonna have 100 yards and three touchdowns.
- 44:22This is unbelievable. I got a story about an
- 44:24unbelievable football play, Errol, you can't.
- 44:27You don't think the scataboos for real?
- 44:28This dude is for real. He just ripped off a bunch of 10
- 44:30plus yard runs running it down there.
- 44:32Throw it in the fourth border. Definitely playing for real
- 44:35tonight. This is unbelievable.
- 44:38But what's more unbelievable is what happened in the Chiefs game
- 44:41last on Monday night. And that was the final play
- 44:45where, well, the final meaningful play of the game
- 44:47where Trevor Lawrence stumbles out of his snap.
- 44:52In fact, I'm going to put it up here for people watching on
- 44:55video, which you can do. You can download some video on
- 44:58Apple and Spotify but this video right here is unbelievable if
- 45:03you I've never seen this except for an JV football.
- 45:06Look at him standing around not doing nothing.
- 45:10He clearly could have made this play if he didn't give up on the
- 45:13play. He looks like one of my JV
- 45:16football players from one of my bad teams a decade plus ago.
- 45:20I can't believe that's Chris Jones.
- 45:22He they gave the game away to Jacksonville due to lazy effort.
- 45:25He then deleted all his social media arrow like we said earlier
- 45:29today because he's so embarrassed because of all the
- 45:32comments that he made saying that he just thought the play
- 45:35was over. It's going to learn from it.
- 45:37And then there was some issue with something he said, and then
- 45:40he said, no, I said that before the game.
- 45:42Nobody cares. Nobody believes you.
- 45:44You better step it up after that.
- 45:46That's embarrassing for such a player of your caliber.
- 45:49You can't even a great player, you can't just, you know, mail
- 45:52it in like that during the regular season.
- 45:54I know that you've been to the Super Bowl a million times and
- 45:57you got a bunch of rings, but you can't play like that in the
- 46:00NFL. You really can't play like that
- 46:02at any level. So what's that smell like?
- 46:03I looked up in Kansas. See what the worst smells are.
- 46:06Apparently I have tons of sewage treatment plants over there.
- 46:08I was one year, I was 19 years old, and I worked for the
- 46:12Department of Environmental Protection and we had to go on a
- 46:15field trip to a sewage treatment facility and somewhere in the
- 46:18city near the Javits Center, I think.
- 46:20And it was the worst smelling place.
- 46:23Literally just smelled like pure human excrement because that's
- 46:27what was there. And a whole bunch of them.
- 46:30That's what Chris Jones and his performance.
- 46:32You said smother this week. All right, I wish goody was here
- 46:36for this one because it's a little conspiracy related, but
- 46:39I'm going to take a I'm going to take a shot at some of these
- 46:41wannabe weather people that are trying to predict things.
- 46:44So athletic. I don't know if you saw this on
- 46:47Twitter, Jabba Cubs athletic writer Andrew Wagner and also
- 46:51the marquee Sports Network. Some of their broadcasters were
- 46:54blaming the Brewers opening the roof and saying, oh, we have the
- 46:59Brewers have the shade in the dugout and the Cubs have the
- 47:03sweltering a hot dugout and they were making excuses far.
- 47:06That's why they were losing game one and a lot of six runs in the
- 47:10first inning, obviously. And then Wagner later on to
- 47:14follow that up that day when the when the Brewers closed the roof
- 47:18says, oh, are they manipulating the clouds this time so they can
- 47:22have an advantage in game in Game 2 and they're going to
- 47:25like. That's why you're get.
- 47:26Blown out in both of those games.
- 47:28So yeah, you want to be weather conspiracist?
- 47:30Nice try. The reason the Brewers closed
- 47:31the roof and the way they do or open the roof a certain length
- 47:34is so the pitcher's shadows, which I think you've pitched
- 47:36their job. I'm sure the pitcher's shadows
- 47:38are right in line. I'm not sure if you've done it
- 47:40with the roof open or not, but it's in line where they don't
- 47:42have glare on them, not for the reasons they were describing.
- 47:45So what does that smell like? It smells like a bunch of Billy
- 47:48goats that cursed the Chicago Cubs walking into the Sausage
- 47:51King of Chicago and eating a bunch of raw sausages from 1986.
- 47:57Yeah, you go. Deep with these was that a
- 48:00Ferris Bueller's Day Off reference?
- 48:02Yeah, I'm aimed from in the Sausage King of Chicago.
- 48:06That's. Right.
- 48:07That is my terrible impression of that movie.
- 48:10Great movie though. I think we're up to to Jabba.
- 48:14Mine what's that smell is a little is a little frustrating
- 48:18and this is the Yankees fans throwing stuff at Vlad's family.
- 48:27I get it. We we've talked about it when
- 48:31the Ryder Cup was here, like and that just smells like jealousy
- 48:37Idiocracy. Just absolute, just old moldy 17
- 48:44year old beer that's been sitting there and then you're
- 48:47just pissed because you guys lost and it smells like you need
- 48:52to grow up and let people enjoy a game.
- 48:56You know, it's so funny watching fish smile.
- 48:59Fish is the most. I think Fish is the biggest
- 49:02Homer that's ever been on this shelf.
- 49:04He is the big. The Giants could play like no.
- 49:07I'm not denying. It the Giants could be playing
- 49:10like crap and I'll sit there and make excuses on everything.
- 49:12It's it's crazy. It's absolutely.
- 49:15You gotta love your team, Errol. You have two teams.
- 49:18I can't really love one. I think it's just the fact that
- 49:21us Giants fans are happy we're beating the FN Eagles.
- 49:23So dude. This is the the vaunted.
- 49:25Eagles, by the way, I don't know.
- 49:27Did did you guys see Jackson dart high 5 the ref in the third
- 49:31quarter? I watched it while it happened.
- 49:33I was like, I didn't just see that did.
- 49:35I Yeah. Because he didn't let him in the
- 49:37end zone, it should have been a touchdown as a bad call.
- 49:39So he just goes like this, puts his arm up and Jackson Dart
- 49:42looks at them, put both hands like for a touchdown and then
- 49:45slaps some high 5 and runs away. He's making a move for the
- 49:48future when he starts dating a famous singer like Travis Kelsey
- 49:51does. Yeah, Wow.
- 49:52That's a whole nother story. Did you did you see Taylor Swift
- 49:55talking about as speaking about their sex life?
- 49:57It's it's. Absolutely ridiculous.
- 49:58I don't want to. Know it is absolutely
- 50:00ridiculousness. I don't even want nobody cared.
- 50:02I know. Did you know that, Travis?
- 50:04Fortunately, a lot of people do and it's, I mean, I know, but
- 50:08like, I don't care. Also, did you know that Travis
- 50:11Kelsey has his own brand, his own clothing line now at
- 50:14American Eagle? That I did see.
- 50:16I saw the commercials with all the other like youth athletic
- 50:19athletes that look like TK I. Mean TA lot of.
- 50:22Them. It's TK, it's, it's absolutely
- 50:24ridiculousness. I was over there in Florida.
- 50:26I checked it out. It's just absolutely terrible
- 50:29apparel. That's all I got to say.
- 50:30I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go check out their steakhouse in the here
- 50:34in like a month or so. There you go, steakhouse.
- 50:37Sounds good. All right, my final, What's that
- 50:39smell goes to LeBron James. I add to add this Le Bron James
- 50:44making this so-called announcement that he was going
- 50:48to make on October 7th Tuesday. The decision to well, ladies and
- 50:53gentlemen, it wasn't much of A decision because it was a prank.
- 50:57That's what it was. It was a tease.
- 51:00He was teasing everybody on social media that he was going
- 51:04to make an announcement and all it was it was in an ad for
- 51:08Hennessy. Absolute terrible personality,
- 51:12person who I can't stand LeBron James off air and on this show,
- 51:18he's one of the greatest basketball players ever play the
- 51:20game. I can't argue that.
- 51:21But when you hear these stories and LeBron James likes to put
- 51:24himself center stage on social media and on television and on
- 51:29all these different podcasts, it just makes you sick to your
- 51:32stomach when fans are going to go out there, reach out to
- 51:34LeBron, have a little fun about this and know that all you're
- 51:37seeing is a man sitting by himself and waiting for LeBron
- 51:40to show up in that picture and that video and you don't see
- 51:43anything. So, yeah, you know what it
- 51:45smells like? It smells like Bronny Junior's
- 51:51ass when he takes a dump. That's what I got to say.
- 51:54All right, I I can't stand LeBron James.
- 51:57I really can't. I just everything that he does,
- 51:59he's trying to be center stage. He's always trying to be there
- 52:03in front of the camera. And right now, he's not the best
- 52:06basketball player. He's not even the top five right
- 52:09now. He's not even in the top ten.
- 52:10And LeBron James needs to make a statement, so he had to make a
- 52:14decision too. Like anybody gives a shit,
- 52:16including me. I could give a crap.
- 52:18Yeah, you had to hear, as Brian Snow calls him, the Bronze
- 52:21Sexuals. But I'm still not doubting he's
- 52:24going to be a Maverick by the end of the year.
- 52:26I'm not doubting it. It is absolutely, dude.
- 52:29Who brings up the Dallas Mavericks and who was it, the
- 52:32Golden State Warriors? Yeah.
- 52:33If he's bringing up those two names, guys, think about it.
- 52:37Just think about it. If he's bringing those names up,
- 52:40that those are the two teams he wants to play for.
- 52:42So. And I was the two teams I said,
- 52:45and the Rockets before, you know, the whole Van Vleet thing
- 52:48happened. The Rockets are just done for
- 52:50this year. I, I think Kevin Durant makes
- 52:52another mistake. That's all I can say.
- 52:55A very bad mistake. So we have net, we had net, we
- 52:57had the Brooklyn Nets, we have the Suns are Nets West and the
- 53:00Rockets are Nets. I think he's a jinx, I really
- 53:03do. He goes over there and Van Vleet
- 53:05goes out for the season. The guy never gets hurt.
- 53:08He always stays healthy and he's out for the season with a torn
- 53:11ACL or Achilles, whatever he had.
- 53:14James Harden back. I don't know what they're going
- 53:16to do. I honestly have no point guard.
- 53:19Where are they going at the point position?
- 53:21Are they going to have Kevin bringing up the ball like he did
- 53:23with the Nets? Good luck.
- 53:24I I mean, come on guys, that's ridiculous.
- 53:26You're signed Westbrook, Yeah. Good luck.
- 53:29Oh yeah, that'll work. That's gonna work wonders.
- 53:31That'll. Work.
- 53:31Those guys couldn't work together with OKC and he
- 53:35couldn't work with James Harden. The only time it worked is when
- 53:37he went to Denver. And did that really work?
- 53:40I don't know. If you go get harden back to the
- 53:42Clippers. My purge stuff after the whole.
- 53:43Russell Westbrook is a loser who's never won a championship.
- 53:47Ever so and neither is James Harden losers Kevin Durant won a
- 53:52championship because he had to jump ship and go and play with
- 53:54the Golden State Warriors 3 losers.
- 53:56Anyways thank you to all the fans that follow us on social
- 53:59media. Thank you to Choppa Chamberlain
- 54:01for just being Choppa Chamberlain, going out there and
- 54:04and promoting what we do and, and all the fans out there are
- 54:07from Spotify to Apple to to YouTube to X to Instagram to
- 54:14TikTok to all the platforms that we're on or to see.
- 54:17We really appreciate you guys keep following us, keep liking
- 54:22us. We're working on building on the
- 54:24YouTube channel. It's been growing and Giant fans
- 54:27are probably, you know, doing something, hopefully nothing on
- 54:30camera when they're doing it after this game because they're
- 54:33finally going to be Eagles. I just couldn't stop smiling for
- 54:36the last 20 minutes because this was just an ass kicking and I
- 54:39couldn't believe what I was seeing from these two awesome
- 54:42rookies. I'm just going to let you know
- 54:44it's it's not a good sign for you Giant fans knowing that
- 54:46they're. I think it's a great sign they
- 54:48just beat the Eagles 3417, the year if they won the world the
- 54:51Super. Bowl, I might need a Wellness
- 54:52check on the city of Philadelphia.
- 54:53It's not going to, it's not going to make a difference and
- 54:55the Giants just put on another win makes a big.
- 54:58Difference Video. Philly.
- 54:59Philly Fan. That's awesome.
- 55:00How did they start rioting yet? The giants are missing so many
- 55:03pieces. Crazy.
- 55:04The giants are missing so many pieces.
- 55:06They need to lose and build. That's the way they need to go.
- 55:10And losers only continue to lose.
- 55:12You got to win. You got to get to the playoffs
- 55:14somehow, OK? You got to try.
- 55:15Not going to happen if that's what you think, if that's what
- 55:18you just. Draft a bunch of rookies and get
- 55:20become great you just. Lost against the Saints, you
- 55:23just lost against the. Saints got to go from steps.
- 55:25That's how football is. Stop.
- 55:27The only reason why you just lost that game, the only one you
- 55:29got to go from. Can I finish?
- 55:31What I have to say? Who wins and becomes a?
- 55:33Champion, Could I finish? What to say something?
- 55:34Too late to have popcorn when you guys are arguing.
- 55:38Here's the facts. Here's the facts.
- 55:39The Eagles went into the game thinking they were going to run
- 55:41all over them and they they ran into a team that had nothing to
- 55:44lose. That's all I'm going to say
- 55:46about that. A buzzword, OK.
- 55:48Jared, what size is your melon? That hat is almost to the brim,
- 55:53fam. I got a big pig, yeah.
- 55:56Wow. I.
- 55:57Just noticed putting. Chicks in his house.
- 55:59Like damn, he's about to run out of real.
- 56:01He's going to. Pop out, baby, going to pop out.
- 56:04All right, that's it. Good night.
- 56:07It's the worldwide sports radio network.
