For Travelling Tunes this week, Dr Kirsten Zemke yarns with Johnny about Brazilian psychedelia. A cultural and musical movement that sprouted in the late 1960s, which combined traditional Brazilian rhythms like samba and bossa nova with psychedelic rock, pop, and Avant-garde. The lyrics featured irony, surreal poetry, and social commentary. Featuring:

Gal Costa - Cinema Olympia (1969)

Secos & Molhados - Assim Assado (1973)

Zé Ramalho and Lula Côrtes - Pedra Templo Animal (Água) (1975)
