- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, Taco.
- 0:01Speaker 2: You all said over there are getting situated, hydrated and whatnot.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I was adjusting the lid on my cup anyway.
- 0:08Speaker 2: By the way, looking good there, Taco. On the new
- 0:12Speaker 2: camera system some of you, if you're watching this with
- 0:15Speaker 2: the visuals on Facebook Live, we just got upgraded camera
- 0:20Speaker 2: system in the studio. So we are thankful for the
- 0:23Speaker 2: boss Man and then also Brian over at Excel for
- 0:25Speaker 2: installing this bad boy.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that was really cool to him to do that.
- 0:28Speaker 3: The only thing that I'm going to request from the
- 0:30Speaker 3: boss Man is that one over there that shows the
- 0:34Speaker 3: back of your head.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Yeah, the whole room camera, the.
- 0:36Speaker 3: One that somebody that somebody stole. I'm gonna ask, hey, dude,
- 0:40Speaker 3: do you think we could get that one replaced too,
- 0:42Speaker 3: because they somebody stole our camera, one of our four cameras,
- 0:48Speaker 3: and replaced it with a shittier camera. A shitty thing
- 0:52Speaker 3: to do, just not only having the balls to go
- 0:54Speaker 3: in somebody else's studio and steal it. It's usually headphones,
- 0:59Speaker 3: like they'll your headphones and not give them back, but
- 1:03Speaker 3: to steal a camera that's mounted on a wall that, I.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Tell you this still the most amazing thing to me
- 1:11Speaker 2: is we have no way of knowing who it was
- 1:15Speaker 2: because even though they were stealing a camera, the other
- 1:17Speaker 2: cameras that were in here, they're not active unless you
- 1:19Speaker 2: turn them on. And there doesn't happen to be a
- 1:21Speaker 2: security camera in the entrance to this studio, which we
- 1:24Speaker 2: found out. I hear that might be changing it is.
- 1:29Speaker 3: I don't say too much because I want the personally
- 1:31Speaker 3: get caught. I hope they try to steal that big
- 1:35Speaker 3: pig right there, that four K camera. That thing's gotta
- 1:39Speaker 3: cost what thousands?
- 1:40Speaker 2: That That was an eight hundred dollars camera, the new
- 1:43Speaker 2: new one that was added for the guest camera.
- 1:45Speaker 1: But anyway, it's.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Up and running. We're still still learning the uh this here,
- 1:51Speaker 2: so but yeah, thankful for this play around with this
- 1:54Speaker 2: in the future. Here's some more What do you what?
- 1:57Speaker 2: Do you got anything off the right out of the gates?
- 1:59Speaker 1: Here?
- 2:00Speaker 2: A couple of things I wanted to bring up this morning.
- 2:02Speaker 3: I do have something right out of the gates, and
- 2:03Speaker 3: I want to make a request that you're going to say.
- 2:07Speaker 1: But then you don't pay it to.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I think that we might want to turn that TV
- 2:11Speaker 3: back on for the coverage of the New York City.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Uh take or tape parade.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Yeah, just because it's I mean, this is covering it historic.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Let me look, but I know that Fox thirty five.
- 2:25Speaker 3: I'll at least jump in uh Nick's parade TV coverage.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Well it hasn't actually it starts, we've started. Yeah, all right,
- 2:40Speaker 2: Well I'll leave it.
- 2:40Speaker 3: On ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox.
- 2:44Speaker 1: This is a pretty big deal.
- 2:46Speaker 2: That's probably for local stations in New York City.
- 2:49Speaker 1: NBA TV, NBA APP. We don't have the NBA TV do.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I have no idea. Let's just keep it on the
- 2:55Speaker 2: channel we have. I don't use cable anymore, so I
- 3:00Speaker 2: let me see if I can even get this guide to.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Come up, because I know we don't have the MSG.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Network Madison Square Card No, No.
- 3:07Speaker 1: We do have YouTube TV, but not in here.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Right, No, this is just it's not that important, to
- 3:13Speaker 3: be honest, it's not changing.
- 3:15Speaker 2: I don't know, dude, Just what do you have it on?
- 3:18Speaker 2: Christ Meets?
- 3:21Speaker 1: It's not change, It's all right. I don't want to
- 3:24Speaker 1: frustrate you.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I'll leave it on here. If they cut into it,
- 3:27Speaker 2: they cut.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Into yeah, exactly.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I mean we're in Orlando, Florida.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Man. Yeah, I get it.
- 3:32Speaker 2: We got a I'm a team here that somedale. Well,
- 3:37Speaker 2: maybe have a ticker tape parade. How can we have
- 3:41Speaker 2: a ticker tape parade in Orlando? We've been like nine
- 3:43Speaker 2: tall buildings, all right. So our downtown is kind of
- 3:48Speaker 2: weak looking as far as skylines go, and.
- 3:51Speaker 1: I like it.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Keep it that way. I want some big ass city. No,
- 3:55Speaker 3: there's plenty of people who live here.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Don't get me. Don't hear me wrong. This is one
- 3:59Speaker 2: of the lar You're in fastest growing metropolitan areas in
- 4:02Speaker 2: the entire country. But the skyline is it's kind of weak.
- 4:06Speaker 3: I don't want a big skyline, That's what I'm saying.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I I like it.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Just keep it the way it is, so people don't move.
- 4:14Speaker 1: It's oh I'm moving to Orlando. It's big.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Now keep it just you can have it like that
- 4:19Speaker 3: if you want. But I so, what were you saying.
- 4:26Speaker 3: You said you had a couple of things.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I do have a couple of things. So there's something
- 4:30Speaker 2: apparently in the works that's going to recognize that me
- 4:34Speaker 2: and this dude have worked together for thirty years now,
- 4:37Speaker 2: it's officially thirty years this month. Something's being thrown together
- 4:41Speaker 2: for next week. I'm hearing.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Yeah, this was a it seems a little last minute.
- 4:46Speaker 1: So what would you expect for you know, a rock station.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Well, yeah, it's kind of how we roll around here.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Everything just gets slapped together and you know, you wing
- 4:55Speaker 2: in a prayer it and just go with it.
- 4:57Speaker 3: So we're going to have music, We're going to have
- 4:59Speaker 3: a food as I As I said on last week's podcast,
- 5:03Speaker 3: I said, yeah, they should have a party and we
- 5:04Speaker 3: should get Big Taco.
- 5:06Speaker 1: To bring the food. They're bringing the food.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Okay, Well, before we get into any total specifics, just
- 5:12Speaker 2: know that next what we're being told is on Monday,
- 5:16Speaker 2: will announce how to sign up if you're interested in
- 5:20Speaker 2: joining us next Friday, exactly next Friday, and it's gonna
- 5:23Speaker 2: be like right after the show for a couple hours
- 5:25Speaker 2: here in our station, in our performance theater.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Yeah, starting at like nine o'clock. But again details Monday,
- 5:34Speaker 3: because there's a limited amount of people that can go.
- 5:37Speaker 3: But hopefully you're one of them, because if you're listening
- 5:40Speaker 3: to podcast, you're not I heard listener.
- 5:42Speaker 2: And regardless of any of that that we just mentioned,
- 5:45Speaker 2: thank you for letting us do what we do for
- 5:49Speaker 2: thirty years because and we say it every day and
- 5:53Speaker 2: we mean it. Without you, this doesn't happen.
- 5:58Speaker 1: No.
- 5:58Speaker 3: So, and to elaborate on that, you all have not
- 6:02Speaker 3: only supported us, you've supported us so long it's generational.
- 6:06Speaker 3: So thank you because most rock show teams.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Have not right.
- 6:13Speaker 2: No, no, you're absolutely right.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:15Speaker 2: So thank you all for the support, and we'll continue
- 6:17Speaker 2: doing what we do for as long as you'll have us.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Definitely back to the whole thing.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I can can kind of jump off of the whole
- 6:25Speaker 2: skyline thing.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Huh, don't jump?
- 6:27Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no bad analogy. I saw this,
- 6:31Speaker 2: This thing got going on Reddit yesterday.
- 6:33Speaker 1: We're somebody.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Somebody will ask a question, right, and then people just
- 6:37Speaker 2: start chiming in and next thing you know, you've got
- 6:40Speaker 2: free entertainment going.
- 6:41Speaker 3: I just did it for how long does lazagna last?
- 6:45Speaker 1: Lazagna? Pat?
- 6:46Speaker 2: You try to start a Reddit discussion on that?
- 6:48Speaker 3: No, I just put it into Google and AI answered it.
- 6:52Speaker 3: But right below it was a reddit about how long
- 6:56Speaker 3: is Somebody.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Said is leftover?
- 6:58Speaker 3: Hozzan, You're good for five days?
- 7:00Speaker 1: And they're a whole damn thing went on it.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Somebody asked the question yesterday, got the got this conversation
- 7:07Speaker 2: rolling on a Reddit for him, which city in the
- 7:10Speaker 2: United States sucks the most? Wows the what's the worst
- 7:14Speaker 2: city in the United States. Now, obviously you're gonna have
- 7:18Speaker 2: certain types of answers to this. You'll have people who
- 7:21Speaker 2: are just haters, who will spew out some city that
- 7:25Speaker 2: they may not have ever even visited, but for whatever
- 7:28Speaker 2: reason they have a heart on.
- 7:29Speaker 1: For somebody from New York, for instance, will say.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Oh, Philly sucks, right right exactly.
- 7:34Speaker 1: So there was some of that, but there was there was.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Quite a bit of genuine honesty from people who have
- 7:41Speaker 2: lived in different parts of the country and talking about
- 7:45Speaker 2: some of these cities they've found themselves in for whatever reason.
- 7:48Speaker 2: And a lot of times it was associated with, well,
- 7:52Speaker 2: the school I went to happened to be there, and
- 7:56Speaker 2: you know, that's how I found out this city kind
- 7:58Speaker 2: of sucked. I just I was there while, you know,
- 8:00Speaker 2: in school, or I was moved there for work, or
- 8:03Speaker 2: I had to find work there, and you know, the
- 8:06Speaker 2: work was okay, but just the city sucks. And then
- 8:09Speaker 2: they got into the whole reasons as to why, and
- 8:11Speaker 2: this just took on a life of its own.
- 8:13Speaker 3: There's nothing to do, there's no fun places to go
- 8:17Speaker 3: that kind of stuff.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Exactly exactly. But then people started getting into posting pictures
- 8:23Speaker 2: of these cities and then making memelike posts and what
- 8:28Speaker 2: was it. It was like someone posted Gary, Indiana and
- 8:33Speaker 2: it was the picture they showed, and I think the
- 8:35Speaker 2: caption said, this is like a picture of the industrial
- 8:40Speaker 2: apocalypse end of the world. And it was just like
- 8:43Speaker 2: pictures of these towers spewing like flames into the air,
- 8:47Speaker 2: like chemical you know, chemical factories or oil. I don't
- 8:53Speaker 2: know what it was, but it just looked like a dismal,
- 8:57Speaker 2: horrible place. And then people started posting after that, you know,
- 9:01Speaker 2: places that they had been in commenting on.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Dude, I'm almost sure. Hold on, let me see Gary
- 9:08Speaker 3: Indiana College. I think that's where my buddy, Billy's kid
- 9:13Speaker 3: played soccer Indiana Universe University Northwest. Uh, right there in Gary, Indiana.
- 9:22Speaker 3: I remember seeing pictures of his games, like his dad,
- 9:27Speaker 3: Mom and dad, you know, proud of their son played
- 9:30Speaker 3: college ball, got a full ride scholarship.
- 9:33Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 9:34Speaker 3: And so we'd be in a party, we're all watching
- 9:37Speaker 3: football over a club. Jeruis and Pat He's sitting there
- 9:40Speaker 3: with his iPad watching the thing, and I go, I
- 9:43Speaker 3: don't think I could live there.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Man. It was all yeah, freezing cold, just dismal.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Gnar, really looking.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I mean, university looks pretty nice.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Comments coming in here. I'm gonna agree with Adam on
- 9:55Speaker 2: this one because I've been there a couple of Memphis.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Really yeah, Fist has a like a downtown entertainment district.
- 10:03Speaker 2: But outside of that, dude, it's uh, roll them up, man, yeah,
- 10:07Speaker 2: roll them up. It was uh, it was pretty frightening. Wow,
- 10:11Speaker 2: it was pretty frightening. I am not kidding you.
- 10:14Speaker 3: At What's What's the one that everybody goes for the country?
- 10:17Speaker 3: Is that country music at Nashville?
- 10:20Speaker 1: Nashville.
- 10:21Speaker 3: I've heard that one is getting a little Obviously, it's
- 10:24Speaker 3: crowded as hell.
- 10:26Speaker 2: If you don't like to drink or aren't big into
- 10:28Speaker 2: music and nightlife and whatever, you're probably not gonna get.
- 10:32Speaker 2: You probably want to appreciate Nashville for what a lot
- 10:34Speaker 2: of people are attracted to.
- 10:36Speaker 3: My buddy lives in Tennessee, and he's like, man, we
- 10:40Speaker 3: just try to stay away from Nashville. But kind of
- 10:42Speaker 3: like for us, we try to stay away from certain areas.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Yeah, like the we don't we live outside of the
- 10:48Speaker 2: tourist district. Nothing against the tourist district. It's the lifeblood
- 10:52Speaker 2: of our community. Here will be out tonight actually right
- 10:56Speaker 2: right exactly, but normally not venturing in there. But again
- 11:01Speaker 2: it's we don't hate it or anything. In fact, I
- 11:05Speaker 2: think it's the exact opposite of Orlando. Would be probably
- 11:08Speaker 2: one of the few cities that people visit in love,
- 11:11Speaker 2: I would.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Think, without a doubt, and I love it.
- 11:14Speaker 1: That's hence why I haven't moved from here.
- 11:16Speaker 3: But he Brian, my buddy the lives in Tennessee, went
- 11:20Speaker 3: on to say, yeah, it's it's getting kind of tough
- 11:23Speaker 3: down there, with you know, slipping roofies and stuff like that.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I go, what I told you when I saw this conversation,
- 11:32Speaker 2: I had my answer, and I talked about it on
- 11:35Speaker 2: the air when I got back from that one trip
- 11:38Speaker 2: road trip I took where we were re routed through
- 11:41Speaker 2: a town called Cairo or Caro, Illinois.
- 11:44Speaker 1: And you had me look at pictures.
- 11:45Speaker 2: It's like the southernmost town in Illinois. I have never
- 11:50Speaker 2: seen anything like that in my life.
- 11:52Speaker 1: It was.
- 11:52Speaker 2: And I went and I looked, and there's actually a
- 11:55Speaker 2: little documentary on what happened to that place? It does.
- 11:59Speaker 2: It looks like a bomb went off there and there's
- 12:02Speaker 2: no survivors.
- 12:03Speaker 1: That's the best way I could describe it.
- 12:05Speaker 3: And he showed me. I looked online and that's what
- 12:08Speaker 3: it looked like.
- 12:08Speaker 2: It's just this this town that died. And it's a
- 12:12Speaker 2: shame because it's right there where several big rivers come together,
- 12:16Speaker 2: so it's it's nice potential real estate. I could see
- 12:20Speaker 2: some big conglomeration coming in there, and Uh, let's get
- 12:23Speaker 2: some casinos going. Man, let's do it.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm trying to think the worst city. That was
- 12:30Speaker 3: a cool city, except we had to sit in jail there.
- 12:34Speaker 3: That was in uh which I think it was. I
- 12:36Speaker 3: think it was Decatur, Georgia. You were in jail, Well,
- 12:41Speaker 3: my body was, we're doing double the speed limit.
- 12:43Speaker 1: This was. This was when we were.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Just it was going to be going into our first
- 12:49Speaker 3: year of college and uh we were speeding. Oh no,
- 12:54Speaker 3: that's where I broke down. That was a different one.
- 12:56Speaker 3: I sat on the corner of a gas station eight
- 12:59Speaker 3: moon pies and drank Arci Cola.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Who was in jail. Delta Dave Delta Dave went to
- 13:05Speaker 2: jail on one of your road trips.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Yeah, we were taking This is a different story. The
- 13:11Speaker 3: other one was was a we're coming back from a
- 13:16Speaker 3: party up at what is that party school in Georgia, Georgia,
- 13:20Speaker 3: Georgia Southern. So we're up there and that's the one
- 13:24Speaker 3: where Dave we couldn't find him, and we're like, dude,
- 13:26Speaker 3: there weren't cell phones back then. We go, how do
- 13:28Speaker 3: we find him? He went and nailed some chick and
- 13:32Speaker 3: I'm sorry. They made love and passionate.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Love and we couldn't find caring.
- 13:37Speaker 3: We couldn't find him, and he didn't know the town
- 13:40Speaker 3: at all, so he's just walking around and we just
- 13:43Speaker 3: happened to find him walking down the road and we're like,
- 13:45Speaker 3: hold dude, get in, Marcy's got to go start Valencia.
- 13:49Speaker 3: And then then the love wagon broke down. Sorry, I
- 13:52Speaker 3: don't know, I'm talking fast. The trip where Dave got
- 13:56Speaker 3: locked up quote unquote locked up for a little bit
- 13:59Speaker 3: was we were coming home from Kye Patteris, North Carolina
- 14:04Speaker 3: and doing a back road. This is back in the eighties.
- 14:09Speaker 3: We're still in high school and it'd be in the
- 14:13Speaker 3: back seat, luckily of my buddy Scott's car. There were
- 14:15Speaker 3: like stash spots where you could cram beers underneath. We
- 14:19Speaker 3: got pulled over on this old country road. Dave didn't
- 14:22Speaker 3: realize what the speed limit was and he was doing
- 14:25Speaker 3: double the speed limit. Scott rest in Peace, whose car
- 14:29Speaker 3: it was? It wasn't my shift to drive, it was
- 14:32Speaker 3: Dave's and Dave's haul and asked, well he was doing
- 14:35Speaker 3: to the point where they go the.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Law here is who got to take you to jail?
- 14:39Speaker 3: Son, So he had to go to jail, and then
- 14:42Speaker 3: we had to go around and try to collect money
- 14:45Speaker 3: to bail out.
- 14:45Speaker 1: It was a cash grab. Oh yeah, I bet, I bet.
- 14:50Speaker 2: I'm willing to bet that you probably could have avoided
- 14:54Speaker 2: that right there on the side of the road with
- 14:56Speaker 2: a cash transaction.
- 14:57Speaker 3: You didn't have cash. We made the surf rip on
- 15:00Speaker 3: my buddies. No, then, what no, I'm saying. I know
- 15:05Speaker 3: for a fact you probably could have avoided that.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Week, but we couldn't.
- 15:08Speaker 3: I know, I understand, I get that. So we made
- 15:11Speaker 3: the trip. This is what you'll appreciate. We made the
- 15:15Speaker 3: trip on our friend, Scott's Rest in Peace, his parents'
- 15:19Speaker 3: Exon credit card. So it was either Exxon or one
- 15:23Speaker 3: of those style gas stations. Where we got gas the
- 15:28Speaker 3: whole way up eight on it and at the convenience
- 15:32Speaker 3: stations and yeah, back in that would be eighty eight
- 15:36Speaker 3: I think. And so yeah, hauling ass down that old road.
- 15:40Speaker 1: We didn't have any money.
- 15:41Speaker 3: The way that we got dave out was we had
- 15:44Speaker 3: to go around the town and bum money and explain, yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 3: our buddy was speeding. We didn't know the rules here,
- 15:51Speaker 3: and do you have any money? And pat, this is
- 15:54Speaker 3: a little old po dunk town. And uh, sure enough
- 16:00Speaker 3: they you know, we sat there wrong enough and got
- 16:02Speaker 3: some money, and they go all right, well, just here's
- 16:05Speaker 3: your here, you we'll take that.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Here's your coordinate.
- 16:09Speaker 3: And he had to get a lawyer to go and
- 16:12Speaker 3: represent him there too, because the law in that I
- 16:16Speaker 3: think it was South Carolina, but the law back then
- 16:18Speaker 3: if you were doing double the speed on it, you
- 16:21Speaker 3: were creaking it, man, and we were creaking it. If
- 16:24Speaker 3: the cops would only check the car, we would have
- 16:26Speaker 3: its screwed.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Brian says, West Haven, Connecticut sucks. Alex says, south side
- 16:31Speaker 2: of Papka sucks. Oh, come on, hold on on, man.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Moonpie is an RCA cola.
- 16:41Speaker 2: L Oh, yeah, that's a southern Oh.
- 16:43Speaker 3: That's that's that's Adam but works at iHeart Melbourne. I
- 16:48Speaker 3: was doing all the Melbourne beer gigs bar gigs with them.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Okay, uh huh, all right, So anyway, I just I
- 16:56Speaker 2: refer you to read it if you want to see
- 16:58Speaker 2: that conversation. It was very, very very entertaining, and it
- 17:02Speaker 2: was funny because you get somebody would post something and
- 17:04Speaker 2: then someone would take a fence to it, and you
- 17:07Speaker 2: get the back and forth going where that town doesn't
- 17:09Speaker 2: suck that bad, you didn't give it enough time and
- 17:11Speaker 2: and all that stuff though, but it was kind of
- 17:14Speaker 2: a you know, it's it makes you realize just how
- 17:18Speaker 2: huge this country is and how many different areas there are,
- 17:22Speaker 2: and how vastly different they can be in extreme ways
- 17:27Speaker 2: in some cases.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Without a doubt.
- 17:29Speaker 3: I can think of like if you think back in
- 17:32Speaker 3: the day Jacksonville, Florida that we love now.
- 17:36Speaker 2: The first thing you would think is it smells like paper. Yes,
- 17:39Speaker 2: the pulp blown in from those paper mills in north
- 17:44Speaker 2: North Florida and South Georgia.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Uh huh. Yeah. And I was born there.
- 17:49Speaker 3: I mean I was only there for a little bit
- 17:50Speaker 3: because my dad was in the service. But yeah, it
- 17:54Speaker 3: used to be You drive over there and go, God,
- 17:56Speaker 3: this place is like a shill and it stinks, but
- 17:59Speaker 3: it's beautiful, full down by the beach.
- 18:01Speaker 2: I just drove through there recently on our our road
- 18:03Speaker 2: trip to DC, and I will tell you this gets
- 18:05Speaker 2: back to something I Jacksonville Skyline kicks Orlando Skyline's ass.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll give you good time.
- 18:11Speaker 2: I'll give you that, especially there on the river.
- 18:13Speaker 3: I drove by it one time driving home from a
- 18:15Speaker 3: golf trip in It'll hit me in a minute. But
- 18:20Speaker 3: and peeing in a Gatorade bottle driving home through that
- 18:25Speaker 3: or past that skyline was on my left and right,
- 18:27Speaker 3: and I'm driving through that little city thing doing about
- 18:30Speaker 3: eighty miles a little faster, peeing in a Gatorade bottle
- 18:34Speaker 3: while I was driving.
- 18:36Speaker 2: You're crazy speeding through Jacksonville.
- 18:37Speaker 3: So no, this is twenty twenty state troopers laying wait there. Man,
- 18:42Speaker 3: it was twenty five years ago. I would have looked
- 18:45Speaker 3: at him and said, I had to pee so bad. Look,
- 18:48Speaker 3: and then it was gone, Oh, son you were peeing
- 18:51Speaker 3: while driving.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not against the law though, that's just the
- 18:55Speaker 2: speed part.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Truckers do it.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Yeah. On a related somewhat relate note to this. I
- 19:01Speaker 2: saw a statistic yesterday that I did not believe until
- 19:04Speaker 2: I went and verified it. And this again goes to
- 19:07Speaker 2: cities and regions around the country. There are now and
- 19:11Speaker 2: this sucks, especially if you are younger and you hope
- 19:16Speaker 2: one day that you're going to be able to have
- 19:17Speaker 2: the American dream and buy a home.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I saw it too, two.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Hundred and forty two different metropolitan areas in this country
- 19:27Speaker 2: a starter home. A starter home is minimum one million dollars.
- 19:35Speaker 1: I saw it.
- 19:35Speaker 2: That's screwed up, dude. What defines a starter home? I
- 19:40Speaker 2: looked that up too, because I was curious. A starter
- 19:43Speaker 2: home is defined as a property that is considered to
- 19:47Speaker 2: be in the lower third of pricing in a given market.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Doesn't mean it's an ugly or old, beat up home.
- 19:54Speaker 2: It just means it might be an older home, not
- 19:56Speaker 2: as modern, not as big, not all the bells and whistles.
- 20:00Speaker 2: That's fine, that's where most of us entered the home,
- 20:04Speaker 2: you know dream.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Yeah, And uh, I.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Just maybe it's because we both have younger, you know,
- 20:11Speaker 2: daughters who are getting into that part of their lives
- 20:15Speaker 2: where you know, they might want to think about being
- 20:18Speaker 2: able to buy a home one day and I just
- 20:19Speaker 2: looked at that.
- 20:20Speaker 1: I'm like, what are they supposed to do?
- 20:22Speaker 3: Yeah, condo living? And then one day, you know, hopefully.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I don't know, a million dollars for a starter home.
- 20:34Speaker 3: If you're not getting a hand me down from you know,
- 20:37Speaker 3: your parents or grandparents or something.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Like that, it's it.
- 20:42Speaker 2: I can see why a lot of young folks throw
- 20:45Speaker 2: up their hands.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:46Speaker 2: I don't blame them one bit for being frustrated. No,
- 20:49Speaker 2: pretty crazy.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Same time.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw that story and I go, wait, is
- 20:52Speaker 3: that correct?
- 20:53Speaker 1: Right?
- 20:54Speaker 2: I had a double check it. It is at accurate.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Like you said, mind blowing.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:58Speaker 2: So anyway, that's really all I had today. Man, I
- 21:02Speaker 2: don't know if you had anything else you needed to
- 21:04Speaker 2: throw in here. Didn't you mention you had something else
- 21:05Speaker 2: you wanted to bring up today?
- 21:07Speaker 1: I just had about.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Four stories of different trips and crazy shit that's happened.
- 21:11Speaker 3: So imagine being part of my life.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Yeah, just in the last week.
- 21:15Speaker 3: That yeah, in that in this podcast that we're doing,
- 21:18Speaker 3: oh okay whatever, the one about Dave getting tossed in
- 21:22Speaker 3: jail for speeding driving home from uh uh, Georgia where
- 21:28Speaker 3: we found him walking down the road, after making sweet
- 21:30Speaker 3: love to some college whoror's.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Sorry he was old. You know it goes both ways.
- 21:35Speaker 1: I know how that goes.
- 21:37Speaker 3: And then uh, and then coming home from the golf
- 21:41Speaker 3: trip to go to another golf trip.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Okay, on that note, next a few weeks, still more
