Passport Required for Irish-British Ferries | Cork News
Starting September 28th, everyone boarding ferries between Ireland and Britain must show a passport—no exceptions. Whether you’re Irish, British, or from elsewhere, this new UK Border Force rule applies to all routes from the Republic of Ireland to Great Britain, including Dublin to Holyhead or Rosslare to Fishguard. Ferry companies are contacting booked travelers to help adjust plans. Note: this doesn’t affect routes like Belfast to Liverpool.
