- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30So I have a question for you. How much do you think, mines
- 0:33that matters? Well I'm asking that question of
- 0:36you because it was asked of me the other day.
- 0:38I was doing an interview and the host asked me.
- 0:42Well, how much do you think mindset matters?
- 0:43And I said, oh, it's everything. It's absolutely everything
- 0:46because what you believe about yourself, and the world is how
- 0:51you experience yourself and the world.
- 0:54And you are the one that has Us Ultimate control over it.
- 0:57Nobody else can go in and shift anything for you.
- 1:01You know, I have clients that said, oh, I wish that we could
- 1:04put a chip in my head and then I could just be positive all the
- 1:06time. No, you don't because this is
- 1:08part of the human experience is to create and cultivate and
- 1:13curate your mindset that serves you.
- 1:16And we are the ultimate bosses of this.
- 1:18No one can do this work for you. When I say no one, I mean, no
- 1:22one can do this work for you, you have to do it yourself.
- 1:26So mindset, is everything, and it is the most Orton thing in my
- 1:31opinion, it is the thing that makes you tick.
- 1:34It is the thing that makes you decide how you are going to
- 1:38respond when Stuff shows up. It is the it is absolutely.
- 1:44The magnet that pulls everything in law of attraction to you.
- 1:50If your mindset is that of expecting it to rain, and always
- 1:54have the negativity. Guess what?
- 1:56You will be attracting it, you can't help it.
- 1:59It's just the way it works. So, I can't stress enough.
- 2:03That mindset is everything so much, so that I will tell you, I
- 2:08think it is so critically important that every single day.
- 2:11Every single day, you have to work on your mindset just like
- 2:14you clean up, everything else in the world in your house.
- 2:18Like, you know, you clean, you clean your house, you clean your
- 2:20dishes, you take care of yourself.
- 2:22Physically you, you know, brush your teeth and take a shower,
- 2:26you shave. You have to do this with your
- 2:28brain and most of us, Don't work on that all the time.
- 2:33We think it's something that we can do in jump in and out.
- 2:36Oh, we think we can do it a little bit and it's okay.
- 2:38But if we use the metaphor brushing your teeth for a
- 2:40minute, just think about this. If you brushed your teeth once a
- 2:44week, how would you feel? I mean, I know most of you just
- 2:47went, right? Because that's what I was
- 2:49thinking. That would be disgusting.
- 2:51There is no way. I could function brushing my
- 2:55teeth once a week. Think of how gross that would
- 2:58feel. Have you ever had gotten really
- 3:00sick? And had the flu and you're flat
- 3:03out in bed and you can't take a shower because you can't get up,
- 3:07and you don't even feel like brushing your teeth because you
- 3:09can't get up. But the one thing, your brain
- 3:11keeps going to over and over and over, because it's conditioning
- 3:16is I just need to take a shower and brush my teeth and then I'll
- 3:19feel better. Two, simple things, brush your
- 3:23teeth, take a shower. And that's what your brain is
- 3:27obsessing on. Because if I could just wash
- 3:30this funk off, I'll feel better. Well, we need to have that kind
- 3:35of conviction and commitment as far as our brain goes.
- 3:40So when I tell you, this is an everyday, every moment thing, I
- 3:44can't stress that enough. If there's one thing that I do,
- 3:48consistently more than anything else that I do, it's that I'm
- 3:52constantly listening to other things.
- 3:56Take in and learn. I also am a very repetitive
- 4:00learner so if I get into something that I really like I
- 4:02will listen to it over and over and over and over and over and
- 4:05over and over or read something over and over and over until I
- 4:09feel like I know it. The first time I really
- 4:12understood that the power of doing this was many years ago, I
- 4:15got into doing Wayne Dyer's work and I started reading his books
- 4:21and there was a book called The Power of intention.
- 4:24And if you've never read that book or Listen to it, do
- 4:27yourself a favor and listen to it 45 times.
- 4:30Now I'm telling you to do it 45 times, but listen to it a few
- 4:33times because the more you listen to it, the more you can
- 4:37tap into his energy which was phenomenal in this field but
- 4:44also you create your own energy around it and I'm telling you
- 4:48that repetitiveness just like brushing your teeth every day,
- 4:52it works for me. So I give you that little clue
- 4:56and Say hey if you like something, if it brings a lot to
- 4:59you, dive into it and dive into it again and again and again
- 5:02because just like mr. Miyagi told Daniel Son, many
- 5:05years ago in a wonderful movie called The Karate Kid wax on wax
- 5:10off and this is how it works. But this wax on wax off with
- 5:13your brain, has to be every day, it has to be as important as
- 5:16brushing your teeth. You know?
- 5:20You just wouldn't walk out of your house without brushing your
- 5:23teeth and God forbid, you do how gross do you feel all day?
- 5:26I mean think about it if you have you ever just left and
- 5:29said, oh my God, I didn't brush my teeth.
- 5:30You're absolutely embarrassed to talk to people because you don't
- 5:33want to have smelly breath, you're pulling yourself back
- 5:36your playing small, your I mean, I've actually forgotten my
- 5:40toothbrush be leaving on a trip in the very first thing I did as
- 5:43soon as I realized it when I was at the airport was ran in bought
- 5:46a toothbrush to put it. In my case, to make sure I would
- 5:49have it when I got there. I mean it is fundamental and
- 5:55this has to be as Mental for us, if we want to succeed, we have
- 5:59to make it about that level of concern.
- 6:04So make sure you are cleaning your mind, filling it with good
- 6:09stuff. Putting that mindset first.
- 6:11Just like, you take the basic levels of human, physical care,
- 6:15do this. All right, my friends.
- 6:17I will see you tomorrow in Brush Your Teeth.
- 6:19Bye.
