- 0:38Speaker 1: We're going to ask Chris about what he thinks about Louisville, ask him about Florida State and we'll obviously ask him about his workout routine, because that dude lives heavy.
- 0:50Speaker 1: We're going to get Jimmy Rito in here asking about the game this past weekend in Pitt.
- 0:56Speaker 1: We're going to talk about all the games.

- 1:19Speaker 1: Austin, at the NFL SNcom, we got Chris Cotter coming up next and then we're going to open up the discussion with Jimmy Rino about the game and then we'll bring big time, nolan, to cap it off, so keep it locked, let's get it started.
- 1:37Speaker 1: The.
- 1:50Speaker 1: North Florida sport.
- 1:51Speaker 1: All right we got a Chris Cotter on.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I saw him in the airport and I flagged him down and he agreed to come on.
- 1:58Speaker 1: He just got back from doing the Louisville game so I know a lot of you FSU fans are starting to look at Louisville because it's a possible match up in Charlotte, chris, welcome to the North Florida sports network, man.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Good to be here, man.
- 2:15Speaker 1: You know, I know you're in Louisville, and then they took her business.
- 2:19Speaker 1: How did they look in person?
- 2:21Speaker 3: They're really good and what made them so good, I think, is they're just a complete team, like you know.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Obviously, jeff Rom comes there with offensive background and you think they're going to be able to move the football up and down the field, especially in the passing game, and yet you really look at what they've been able to do offensively, it's the ground game.
- 2:39Speaker 3: And even when you have Juard Jordan, who's a home run hitter type of a tailback, banged up, the last couple of weeks he hasn't been 100%.
- 2:46Speaker 3: He really was, and I don't think he was 100% in our game either.
- 2:51Speaker 3: And Isaac Arendo he's more of a big banger that they got from Wisconsin transferred in.
- 2:56Speaker 3: He goes for a career high over 160 yards and three touchdowns, so they can run the football and that's what they want to do first.
- 3:04Speaker 3: It isn't about Rom lighting up through the air.
- 3:06Speaker 3: I think eventually maybe he would like to do that.
- 3:09Speaker 3: But I also think everything starts with him on the ground.
- 3:12Speaker 3: They can run the football and then they play defense.
- 3:15Speaker 3: That team rushes the quarterback Right and the Lotties really good on the edge and collectively they're very underrated defense.
- 3:23Speaker 3: So I think that's the reason why I like them so much is when you look at the ACC and even kind of that big group of teams that have two losses in conference, their flaws are much more pronounced than Louisville.
- 3:34Speaker 3: I think Louisville is the most complete team to be able to challenge Florida State and the only teams, when I look at the standings, from what I see, that could prevent Louisville from getting to that championship game would be the winner of the North Carolina State North Carolina game, because neither one of those teams is going to play Louisville.
- 3:52Speaker 3: The other team that play Louisville gets by Virginia this week.
- 3:56Speaker 3: They'll have wins over all those teams and will win the tiebreaker.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I see that as just it's not official, but I would be shocked if they, if they lost another game until the ACC championship.
- 4:09Speaker 1: You know, I thought Virginia Tech you know was was playing really well at before the game.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I saw them in person here.
- 4:17Speaker 1: They look like a different team, but they were.
- 4:20Speaker 1: They didn't and I actually thought they were going to upset Louisville.
- 4:24Speaker 1: So I might get the unrealized idea of the week here.
- 4:26Speaker 1: But what was the?
- 4:29Speaker 1: What did you see out of?
- 4:30Speaker 1: Did you?
- 4:30Speaker 1: Didn't really read in tech struggled.
- 4:32Speaker 1: They didn't really get it.
- 4:33Speaker 1: There was only two of 11 on third down.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I like, I like.
- 4:38Speaker 3: What what Coach Price doing there is just a little too soon for them.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:43Speaker 3: You know I think it's.
- 4:43Speaker 3: They're rebuilding and you know they're.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I like drones as a quarterback but he's, you know he's like an H back playing quarterback.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Big, powerful runner and their passing game just isn't as refined as it needs to be.
- 4:56Speaker 3: So when you get down in a game and you're not doing well on first down, all of a sudden you got second and long, third and long and you got a team that could rush the passer in Louisville and they're pinning their ears back.
- 5:08Speaker 3: That's really top on a team that doesn't have the ability to really do everything you would hope that they could do offensively, and that's what happened in the game.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Just got to be, you know, a bull rush from that Louisville defense and drones.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Really didn't have any answer for it.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I know I was looking into your and I know you're big in the little cross.
- 5:30Speaker 1: You're like the head guy at ESPN the cross.
- 5:34Speaker 3: I do a lot of it yeah.
- 5:36Speaker 1: And that's something you did earlier in your in your life to have grown up playing lacrosse.
- 5:40Speaker 3: I did.
- 5:40Speaker 3: I grew up playing it.
- 5:41Speaker 3: I went to Georgia Tech and I played on their club lacrosse team.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:46Speaker 3: And then, yeah, I really didn't, wasn't really doing it in broadcasting or anything for a long time, and so I got to ESPN and Aiman McEnany was the number one lacrosse guy.
- 5:58Speaker 3: He left and went to the Mets network in.
- 6:01Speaker 3: New York.
- 6:01Speaker 3: So that's when I started to do a lot more lacrosse.
- 6:03Speaker 3: That's about probably eight years ago maybe, and just it's kind of evolved into.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Every spring I do college baseball and I do college lacrosse, and in the summer two years ago we signed on the PLL, the pro lacrosse league.
- 6:17Speaker 3: So I do that all summer long Awesome.
- 6:19Speaker 1: And that's awesome.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Well, you have to find time to, you know.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Get into the gym, though, Chris man.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Goodness, gracious man, that's what I really want you on the show.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Man, what do you think about when you were doing bicep curls?
- 6:33Speaker 1: Because, like, what is the motivation?
- 6:36Speaker 1: Man, Like I, I'm an FSU fan at heart and I know I'd be in the gym, right, and I'm sitting there lifting weights and someone'd be like, all right, man, you're doing a lot of weight.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Think of something you don't like, and I'd be like urban warrior and I just and I'd get it.
- 6:49Speaker 1: So what?
- 6:50Speaker 1: What is it that you like go for when you're lifting something really heavy?
- 6:54Speaker 3: Honestly, my motivation is kind of always been the same thing.
- 6:57Speaker 3: I just want to push myself to the absolute, you know.
- 7:01Speaker 3: I mean.
- 7:01Speaker 3: I've always excelled in you know less in sticking balls for it.
- 7:07Speaker 3: So we have to be blessed with great hand-eye coordination and whatnot and more in sports, like I was a cyclist growing up.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Force that like the more pain you can put yourself through, the better off you'll be.
- 7:19Speaker 3: You know, or you don't have to have a lot of God given talent.
- 7:21Speaker 3: It's more about how much work you're willing to put in, and that's kind of what I like about it.
- 7:25Speaker 3: So I just want to push myself every single time in the gym to lift as much as I can, to go as hard as I can, to be as worn out as I possibly can at the end, and that kind of is what drives me.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Man, that's awesome dude.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I mean I I remember watching you and then I hear I heard you on some radio shows and everyone would be like, oh yeah, who's at the gym?
- 7:47Speaker 1: But watch out for Chris Cotter.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I had to.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I was able to do another Chris for me as being last year Chris Fowler and heat man.
- 7:55Speaker 1: He doesn't miss that many days either.
- 7:57Speaker 1: But I got.
- 7:58Speaker 1: I got to say, man, you got him beat in the arm department.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I don't know that's.
- 8:02Speaker 3: There's always a conversation around.
- 8:04Speaker 3: He has been about us cause, like Fowler Fowler heard his knee really bad a few years back, so he's kind of just kind of bouncing back from that.
- 8:11Speaker 3: He definitely has more cardiovascular.
- 8:13Speaker 3: He's climbing all those mountains in.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Colorado and whatnot.
- 8:17Speaker 3: I couldn't do that 14,000.
- 8:19Speaker 3: I'd be, I'd be sick to my stomach.
- 8:21Speaker 3: But Fowler's Fowler's got a lot of that and he's a little bit older than I am.
- 8:25Speaker 3: He's not that much older than I am.
- 8:26Speaker 3: He's got that old man strength working for him too.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Yeah, and I yeah, he does.
- 8:30Speaker 1: He has some.
- 8:31Speaker 1: He's got some big arms as well.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Who do you got this week, chris?
- 8:37Speaker 3: I've got an interesting game and it's interesting mostly because of where it's being played.
- 8:43Speaker 3: I got Syracuse and Pitt at Yankee Stadium.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 8:47Speaker 3: It's the 100th anniversary of when they played the first game at Yankee Stadium.
- 8:52Speaker 3: The first football game that was ever played at Yankee Stadium was between Pitt and Syracuse, and so it's the 100th anniversary of that.
- 8:59Speaker 3: That's why they're playing it there.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Both teams are mightily struggling, though right now I mean that's.
- 9:04Speaker 3: It's going to be a game of.
- 9:05Speaker 3: You know Schrader's been heard for Syracuse so we got to see if he can play that's going to be a big difference for them.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Pitt's been looking for their quarterback.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Really since Pickett left.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Right.
- 9:16Speaker 3: So it's kind of like it's two teams that are really searching at this point in time in the year.
- 9:21Speaker 3: But it could be, you know, it could be a barn runner.
- 9:23Speaker 1: It really could.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I thought Pitt.
- 9:25Speaker 3: It seems like throwing out the throwing caution to the wind and just hey, we got nothing else to lose at this point.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Well, I mean, yeah, and you're in New York with the atmosphere.
- 9:33Speaker 1: I liked Pitt's effort last week.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I thought they really brought it after being really kind of embarrassed in Notre Dame.
- 9:39Speaker 1: They brought the effort on this past Saturday.
- 9:43Speaker 1: They just lacked that quarterback position.
- 9:46Speaker 1: It seems like I think you nailed that one FSU will be playing Miami.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You did a lot of FSU games recently when FSU was down.
- 9:55Speaker 1: What's been impressive about their rise back up to the top of college football?
- 9:59Speaker 3: I mean, I think kind of it sort of echoes with what I said about Louisville.
- 10:03Speaker 3: It's just a complete team.
- 10:05Speaker 3: You know, you think about, like you said, these last couple of years they did a lot of building through the transfer quarter, like Jermaine Johnson coming in, it was really good Kind of that stop gap of a year or two until you get those great freshman classes to start getting to the age where they can really start contributing.
- 10:23Speaker 3: And that's where they are now.
- 10:24Speaker 3: And I think Jordan Travis was sort of the first one that was like high level recruit.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Let's deal with the first couple of years of good and bad like you're going to get.
- 10:36Speaker 3: It's kind of like what Boston College is doing with Castellanos right now Deal with the good and the bad because freshman sophomore, you're going to get both of them.
- 10:44Speaker 3: And then when he's an upperclassman, all of a sudden it's like last year at the end of last year he's blossom.
- 10:49Speaker 3: You know, now you've got a guy who is in complete control of the game.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Even like some games he doesn't even put up huge numbers but he's in complete control of the game.
- 11:00Speaker 3: And I think that's the big thing is that he carries now and lifts everybody else up on that offense because of him just being in control.
- 11:08Speaker 3: And you've got pieces all over the field, like you've got every piece where you could, and the depth is there.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Like you lose Wilton, right, wilton is gone basically the whole year.
- 11:17Speaker 3: You had him for a couple of games, but he's your big receiver at the start of the year.
- 11:22Speaker 3: What are you going to do if you lose Wilton?
- 11:24Speaker 3: We have Tion Coleman, who's an All-American, you know.
- 11:26Speaker 3: It's like you've got depth, where guys are stepping up and you just haven't had that, and that's what it takes to win.
- 11:33Speaker 3: That's what the Alabama's and Georgia's have every year.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Now Florida State has it.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Yep, that's true, and they've been able to hit the transfer portal big time.
- 11:41Speaker 1: You've seen Clemson kind of come to that, that kind of hit the hay this year.
- 11:46Speaker 1: I think their lack of transfers really hurt them this year when it comes to depth, because you have all these four and five stars.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Well, you're not going to hit on all of them and it's good to have if it's available, you got to do it.
- 11:59Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 12:00Speaker 1: I don't understand what, like we're not going to take transfers.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I don't think you can have that in today's game.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree, I feel like it's almost, as it's not like wholesale transfers.
- 12:12Speaker 3: I feel like that's more for teams that are really looking to rebuild and maybe need a stop gap for one or two years, but it's sprinkling in three or four or five guys throughout the offseason.
- 12:24Speaker 3: I think that's what the best teams are doing right now.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Yep, so Georgia Tech man, you were back there.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Were you there when they won the national championship?
- 12:32Speaker 3: I was.
- 12:32Speaker 1: All right, man.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Wow, you knew that year.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Yeah, they've had a really interesting time under P's.
- 12:39Speaker 1: You know they had where they beaten every ranked opponent, they played and lost to every unranked ACC opponent.
- 12:46Speaker 1: That's just an odd stat.
- 12:48Speaker 3: The ultimate roller coaster ride for them.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:51Speaker 3: And they won.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Until last weekend they alternated wins and losses all year.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Win loss, win loss.
- 12:56Speaker 3: It was like and you lose games like you lose you get house by bowling.
- 13:02Speaker 5: Right.
- 13:02Speaker 3: You lose that.
- 13:03Speaker 3: They own the second half of that game, and so you start to think are we going to?
- 13:07Speaker 3: Is Tech going to win another game?
- 13:08Speaker 3: the rest of the year, and then they beat Miami the next week.
- 13:11Speaker 3: So you're like, ok, now things are great, lose at home to Boston College and maybe they'll lose the rest of their games.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Oh no, you beat North Carolina.
- 13:17Speaker 3: You know, it's like every other week.
- 13:20Speaker 3: You think it's going to be a throw in the towel and you're done.
- 13:23Speaker 3: And then the next week you think, oh, they're going to go to a bowl game.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Are you still look at it like?
- 13:28Speaker 1: I know you're a pro, but you're still a fan of the yellow jackets, right?
- 13:33Speaker 3: Yeah, but I've called them a couple of times this year and it's never where it gets to the point where it's super frustrating.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Well, Lewis Redick was in the booth this past week and he's a pit alum, so yeah, you never even really think about that.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Right.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I called them the basketball game once and they lost on a half court piece and I remember thinking at the end of that game if I didn't show my homerism during this loss, I never will.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Wow, you made it, man.
- 14:01Speaker 1: That's impressive.
- 14:02Speaker 1: And as someone who's getting into this later in life trying to do this media thing and they tell you, hey, no cheering up here, and this is my first year doing it, so I'm getting used to that, but it's a blast.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Chris, what are you working out today?
- 14:21Speaker 3: I've got a back workout today, so I'm going to get in there, and right now I'm trying to just go as heavy as I can.
- 14:27Speaker 1: All right, heavy back.
- 14:28Speaker 3: I won't be there very long because I'm getting too old to spend too much time in there if I get too heavy, so I'll make it short and sweet.
- 14:34Speaker 1: I saw a picture of you in the booth with Doug Flutie man.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Maybe he's got to get you on the New Genics man.
- 14:40Speaker 3: That's what I asked him.
- 14:41Speaker 3: I said I was like man, I need to get a double dose to that New Genics.
- 14:45Speaker 3: He got some.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Well, chris, man, I want to thank you again for doing this.
- 14:50Speaker 1: We'll be watching you, man.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Well, good luck up this week up in New York and hopefully we'll talk to you again in the future.
- 14:57Speaker 3: All right, we'll talk to you soon.
- 14:58Speaker 1: All right, thanks again.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Yep, the North Florida sport, the North Florida sports.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I want to thank Chris Cotter.
- 15:09Speaker 1: We're coming on.
- 15:13Speaker 1: It's not Cotter.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I think I just love saying Cod so much it's the accent man.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Yeah, no.
- 15:22Speaker 5: Florida.
- 15:22Speaker 5: He's about to go do a huge back workout.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah For some pain on himself, he's this heavyweight man yeah.
- 15:34Speaker 5: Real heavy.
- 15:34Speaker 5: My philosophy is different.
- 15:36Speaker 1: You know low weight.
- 15:39Speaker 5: Low weight light rep.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Get out of there as fast as possible and that's my sales back, you know he had a chance to do the Louisville game, man and they look good, and I think he's got a chance to do the Louisville game.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Man and they look good, and that's going to be the matchup and bar in that they lose a game.
- 16:00Speaker 1: But I don't think they will.
- 16:04Speaker 5: I mean, they could even lose a game, right.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
- 16:08Speaker 5: Who else?
- 16:09Speaker 5: Well, I mean who gets the tiebreaker, and then I think you to well, right now, there, no one's going to beat him right now.
- 16:18Speaker 1: They look like they're a complete team and they're going to run the ball, especially 230 yards in the ground.
- 16:23Speaker 1: They had against Virginia Tech who had been playing well.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Speaking of just unrealized and we'll get there later we're going to hand out the unrealized moment of the week, but my unrealized pick of last week was picking Virginia Tech to upset Louisville.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Unrealized idea Unrealized.
- 16:44Speaker 1: I mean, what the hell was I thinking?
- 16:48Speaker 5: I don't know, man, I think you thought that Virginia Tech was a little better than they are.
- 16:55Speaker 1: And maybe Louisville, like the loss, and Louisville lost a pit, you know, got just handled 3821 and but Florida State survived business trip, was that what you would call that one?
- 17:12Speaker 5: Yeah, Business, after you know it was, I don't I get.
- 17:18Speaker 5: Yeah, they knew going into the game that they weren't going to have Keon Coleman right.
- 17:23Speaker 5: I don't know how early in the week.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I guess you know thinking they knew, because Norvell said after the game you can watch the press conference on our YouTube channel.
- 17:33Speaker 1: But I asked him about Keon and he said it was from last game.
- 17:40Speaker 1: So that, and then you, if you talk to Chaka Douglas, he knew his role was going to be like that this week.
- 17:48Speaker 1: So they knew they were prepared.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Chaka Douglas had the game of his life.
- 17:54Speaker 1: He was ready.
- 17:55Speaker 1: All five foot seven of them.
- 17:57Speaker 5: Right, right.
- 17:58Speaker 5: What's amazing is it wasn't even just Keon that was out, you know, I mean, everybody knew that Wilson was right, you're out.
- 18:08Speaker 5: But you don't have Ikeem Williams, right?
- 18:11Speaker 5: And then I guess do span was a game time scratch.
- 18:16Speaker 5: I mean we saw him get out there and warming up with the skill players but, they seem to just hold him out.
- 18:20Speaker 5: So yeah it business, but but not so much business as usual.
- 18:26Speaker 5: You had some adversity before you even kicked off.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Yeah, and you could tell there was the explosive nature you know was lacking, with those two receivers out in particular, but Jordan Travis still threw the ball for 360 yards, which is impressive.
- 18:44Speaker 5: Yeah, it took a couple quarters for them to figure out how to how to hook up him and Jekai Douglas, you know, darian Williamson, kentron Ploytaire they did their best, wasn't wasn't the best game for either one of them.
- 19:01Speaker 5: I thought that.
- 19:02Speaker 5: You know there was a lot of physicality from the pit defensive backs that went on called, but you know big day for Kyle Moorlach four catches, 80 yards.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Him and Jekai Douglas were your two top receivers in on the day.
- 19:18Speaker 5: Tight ends in general, man yeah.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Big biscuit had another touchdown.
- 19:22Speaker 5: It, combined for close to 150 yards, is like 144 between the three of them.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Yep, and man, you would really like to have a hockey Williams in this game.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought he could have really done well in the short passing game.
- 19:37Speaker 5: Short passing game.
- 19:37Speaker 5: And you know those defensive backs Devin Shire for, especially for Pitt you know he's going to be playing on Sundays.
- 19:45Speaker 5: They're physical man, they get up at you at the line, you know they don't let you get a free release.
- 19:51Speaker 5: Williamson and Kentron man they were having issues with that.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Jekai was as well, but he's quick enough and shifty enough to kind of separate.
- 20:01Speaker 5: And yeah, a guy like Hakeem Williams that's strong enough to take that initial push but also has that breakaway speed he would have.
- 20:10Speaker 5: It would have been nice to have him any of them, you know him Keon or Johnny, any just one of the three, I think, would have changed the passing game a lot.
- 20:18Speaker 5: But you know they did a good job in the second half of finding ways to get it in the middle of the field.
- 20:23Speaker 5: Tight ends, you know that was the matchup to exploit.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Florida State was shut out in the first quarter.
- 20:29Speaker 1: I don't know about the decision.
- 20:32Speaker 1: I know that it's.
- 20:33Speaker 1: You know the numbers and going with the you talking about the?
- 20:40Speaker 5: going for it there on fourth and go yeah, I mean, he's always going to do it, Yep.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Seems like it.
- 20:48Speaker 5: I don't, you know, the play calls didn't.
- 20:50Speaker 5: They didn't really fool anybody.
- 20:52Speaker 5: So you, you know you could early in the game.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Sometimes it's good to get points.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I don't know, though, but you know he knows more than I do, obviously, and it just thought at that moment, and then, with the play calls as well, to run the ball.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Fourth and two.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 21:11Speaker 5: I mean, and it you know, option router.
- 21:14Speaker 5: You get into nitpicking when you, when you get down there.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Well they, they, Florida.
- 21:18Speaker 1: And then they had the big play on.
- 21:20Speaker 1: There was like 82 yards, but Finchall, Cyprus with the hustle play, yeah you saw the.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Got the strip right before the player across the goal line.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Man, If that doesn't happen, it pits up 14 nothing.
- 21:33Speaker 5: Just did the combination of what he did on that in terms of the makeup speed, you know, to run it down, to Strip the ball and then to get back in bounds and recover it, you know.
- 21:46Speaker 5: So it's legal, you know, not sit there touching the ball out of bounds, because then I believe they would put it at the one yard line.
- 21:53Speaker 5: You know, if he had stayed half of his body out of bounds and touched the ball in the end zone, I think the offense keeps it right there at the one yard line, if I'm not mistaken.
- 22:02Speaker 5: But the just the heady play of the entire sequence of events.
- 22:06Speaker 1: It was a hustle, yeah, I mean, it was a being able to fight right to the end.
- 22:11Speaker 1: But man, what a big play in them, what a momentum shifting type of play.
- 22:15Speaker 5: You could feel it now was really that the entire first half was kind of that.
- 22:18Speaker 5: That play encompassed it.
- 22:20Speaker 5: It was just kind of wild man.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Florida State had to grind it out a little bit.
- 22:24Speaker 1: They didn't really have the big play that they had, and still until Benson struck, yeah, and he's, you know, he, you know.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Well, that's I, like the only 12 carries, 97 yards for him and and the offense, the offensive line, leaning on that defense.
- 22:38Speaker 5: You know you saw a number of times the defensive linemen going down for pit, you know, just to get off for a player to.
- 22:45Speaker 5: I mean, that's, that's the running game.
- 22:47Speaker 5: They want to get big and physical and be leaning on you.
- 22:50Speaker 5: So late third quarter you can get a play like that that puts a dagger in it.
- 22:55Speaker 5: It was a physical game and it was.
- 22:58Speaker 5: It was a hard fought game, people.
- 23:00Speaker 5: I think they saw what happened to pit against Notre Dame and expected Florida State to just do the exact same thing.
- 23:07Speaker 5: But that's, that's not how football works.
- 23:10Speaker 1: No, and there's more parody now.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Then I can never remember in college football I mean cuz he really is.
- 23:18Speaker 1: It used to be any given Sunday, but now any given Saturday you don't bring it where you, you're losing a couple guys.
- 23:25Speaker 1: There's good enough players when they want to play and they're motivated, you know man.
- 23:32Speaker 5: I mean you know pit Pit does is good a job as anybody in the country of developing defensive linemen Anybody, yeah, in terms of what they take in recruiting and and the product that they put on the field.
- 23:46Speaker 5: So you know right offhand if you go up there and play them and pit, you're gonna be in for a fight all right.
- 23:53Speaker 5: It's it's always been like that.
- 23:55Speaker 5: We just haven't been up there in ten years to see it, but it was, you know, good business trip man Really really enjoy.
- 24:02Speaker 5: I think we picked the right one to, you know.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Kick off the road tour on.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Oh man, great, great people up there pit Celeste and and EJ.
- 24:10Speaker 5: Yeah, they 100% class, very hospitable the whole, the whole time, and it was it was a really, really enjoyable experience.
- 24:17Speaker 1: It really was.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Um, yeah it, it was a great, great experience.
- 24:22Speaker 1: The Knowles go to 9 and 0.
- 24:25Speaker 1: They got it's a rivalry week.
- 24:29Speaker 5: Hurricanes no speaking a not ready to get into that, yeah, well let's get into their performance against NC State.
- 24:36Speaker 1: You know they thought they were six and two.
- 24:38Speaker 1: You know, maybe coming up here playing primetime game and tell a Hassee, mario Cristobal, he's got the Canes rolling.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Unrealized idea unrealized.
- 24:50Speaker 1: That's a nomination for this week's unrealized idea the Gators.
- 24:56Speaker 5: They just got there.
- 24:57Speaker 1: They were, you know.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Brand new uniform right there wearing all black and wearing all black.
- 25:04Speaker 1: You know you just got your Tails whooped in a rivalry game, but you're going back home where you've been really good.
- 25:10Speaker 1: You got Arkansas coming in.
- 25:11Speaker 1: We're gonna get back.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Get back on track for ahead of schedule unrealized idea unrealized and.
- 25:20Speaker 1: That's.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Those are two nominations for this week's unrealized.
- 25:25Speaker 5: You got any more, I do man, bert vegetables man, old Brett Venables burnt vegetables himself, going into bed them for the last time for the foreseeable future.
- 25:36Speaker 5: You know you're gonna go out on top, right out on the Sunset right staying contention for the playoff and the big 12 title unrealized idea unrealized.
- 25:47Speaker 1: They went to a man.
- 25:48Speaker 1: It's like 56.
- 25:50Speaker 5: He's 54 now six hey.
- 25:54Speaker 1: He's over 40 over 40.
- 25:55Speaker 1: They went to him and they lost anymore.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Let's see, we have a month.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I know you're saying somebody that Texas, kansas State game.
- 26:06Speaker 5: Oh yeah, they over time.
- 26:08Speaker 5: Kansas State ops to Try to win it on fourth and goal inside the 10, instead of tying it Well all we got to do is wait.
- 26:15Speaker 1: What?
- 26:15Speaker 1: How was it?
- 26:16Speaker 1: Fourth and fourth?
- 26:17Speaker 5: and goal.
- 26:18Speaker 5: I mean it's a yard line, I don't know, man, let's, let's call it the six.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Oh, and you had in your down three.
- 26:24Speaker 5: You're down three, you kick a field goal.
- 26:25Speaker 5: You force, you force double overtime go for it, you go for it.
- 26:29Speaker 5: I you're unrealized, idea unrealized.
- 26:33Speaker 5: Quarterback quarterback was gonna try to throw a prayer up, ends up falling down before he gets it off.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 26:40Speaker 5: That's pretty bad.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Now, when you got a chip shot right there.
- 26:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:44Speaker 5: Unrealized there we go.
- 26:49Speaker 5: That's the four unrealized.
- 26:50Speaker 1: All right, oh man, you get it back to back winners here, possibly.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Possibly possibly, oh my goodness, you know, uh, hmm, miami though, man, I wouldn't, you didn't even TVD, I mean something's up there.
- 27:18Speaker 5: I hesitate to talk a whole lot about it because you know, oh, you don't want to jinx it, they're gonna.
- 27:23Speaker 5: No man, I don't want the dude to come in here and do to us what he did to A&M, like that's my whole thing about that.
- 27:28Speaker 5: It was like I don't.
- 27:29Speaker 5: It's clearly not an ability thing.
- 27:32Speaker 5: Right, I'm going out there and through five touchdowns against, you know, a bunch of four and five stars.
- 27:37Speaker 5: I get it.
- 27:38Speaker 5: Dj Durkin is no, you know he's no dick LeBeau, but yeah, something is up.
- 27:46Speaker 5: I don't know if he's hurt or if there's friction within the dynamic of the offense going on up there.
- 27:53Speaker 5: Who knows?
- 27:54Speaker 5: But they're not the same team.
- 27:56Speaker 5: They were early in the season.
- 27:58Speaker 5: Clearly, kazenze State is not a strong team.
- 28:02Speaker 5: Now, going up there to Carter Finley sucks.
- 28:04Speaker 5: We know that, we all know that.
- 28:07Speaker 5: Yeah, so it wasn't going to be an easy game.
- 28:10Speaker 5: But six points is you know, that's not not what anybody was expecting.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Oh man, who's going to get it?
- 28:21Speaker 1: Who's your?
- 28:22Speaker 1: Who do you pick this week?
- 28:24Speaker 5: I got to pick Oklahoma man.
- 28:25Speaker 5: I'd like that, you know.
- 28:26Speaker 5: That's the reason I nominated them.
- 28:27Speaker 5: They're sitting there prime position still in conference.
- 28:31Speaker 5: If they went out, you know they got an outside shot at getting it, they beat Texas.
- 28:37Speaker 5: Yeah, they beat Texas.
- 28:38Speaker 5: They got that win, which is, you know, it's as good a premier win, probably at the end of the season, as, say, oregon's over Washington, and they, just they blow it.
- 28:48Speaker 5: You know you got to find a way to beat Oklahoma State.
- 28:51Speaker 5: I don't know, I don't know, it wasn't, it's not the defense, and 24 points, that's.
- 28:58Speaker 5: You know, that's not what you're used to with Oklahoma, with Jeff Levy, they're not hanging their hat on being able to, you know, win scoring 24 points.
- 29:06Speaker 5: They expect to score a lot more.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Well, I'm going to override you on that one.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Do it, Because this is the North Florida sports network and it's got to go.
- 29:15Speaker 1: It's got to go to the Miami offense.
- 29:19Speaker 5: Well, that's not North Florida man.
- 29:21Speaker 1: You're right, but we we talk Miami football a lot.
- 29:27Speaker 5: I thought you're going to.
- 29:27Speaker 5: I thought you were going to go in Napier there with the old we're going in Napier with the black uniforms.
- 29:32Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, let's talk about that Cause Miami lost in their black uniforms earlier this year, so the black uniforms are unrealized idea Unrealized.
- 29:44Speaker 1: You might not see that in a while.
- 29:45Speaker 1: You think you will.
- 29:47Speaker 1: I doubt it.
- 29:48Speaker 5: What for Florida State?
- 29:49Speaker 1: No for Miami or Florida or Florida State.
- 29:52Speaker 5: Well, no, I would think you won't see that Florida State lost when they did all black.
- 29:55Speaker 5: They have, they've won a game or two when they've done all black.
- 30:00Speaker 1: But yeah, yeah, I don't think it's going to the all black uniform, so back to back weeks.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Old Napier.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Unrealized idea.
- 30:09Speaker 5: Unrealized.
- 30:10Speaker 5: I mean it's dude last week was acceptable, even with the boneheaded call in the first quarter you're playing Georgia.
- 30:18Speaker 5: You're not getting hired with the expectation that, hey, you're you better.
- 30:22Speaker 5: Be better than Georgia.
- 30:24Speaker 5: You know, by year two, you know Arkansas is a dumpster fire coming into Gainesville.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Yeah, where was the tool shed of scheme that was.
- 30:33Speaker 1: You know where was that at.
- 30:35Speaker 5: That was where has that?
- 30:36Speaker 5: Been Unrealized, idea Unrealized.
- 30:39Speaker 5: Well, they better find it quick, man.
- 30:41Speaker 5: They better get whatever, whatever shingles patched up that they need to on that shed because they got LSU this week.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I let Brian.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Kelly.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Unrealized idea.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Unrealized.
- 30:55Speaker 5: I.
- 30:55Speaker 5: Oh man, it is so weird seeing that defense be that soft.
- 30:58Speaker 5: Like it really is just soft dude, that's all you can say.
- 31:04Speaker 1: We knew what would happen.
- 31:05Speaker 1: I mean, James Franklin did what he does blow out.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Teams aren't Michigan or Ohio State.
- 31:11Speaker 5: Yeah, everybody was.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Texas.
- 31:14Speaker 4: Survives.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Survives off a.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Unrealized idea.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Unrealized From Kansas State not kicking the field goal but man bed.
- 31:25Speaker 1: The last Oklahoma State Oklahoma game.
- 31:28Speaker 1: I know Gundy's record is not that great in that, but they won't remember that.
- 31:32Speaker 5: No, they're not going to remember that.
- 31:33Speaker 5: That's sad.
- 31:34Speaker 5: You know you saw him in the locker room after the game.
- 31:37Speaker 5: How about them, cowboys?
- 31:39Speaker 5: How about them Not to Jimmy Johnson, man?
- 31:41Speaker 5: I mean, you know Oklahoma's going off to the SEC.
- 31:44Speaker 5: Good luck with that.
- 31:46Speaker 5: I just yeah, you call me though, didn't you picked Oklahoma State to win that?
- 31:53Speaker 1: I did.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I did, but you know.
- 31:58Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we're not.
- 31:59Speaker 5: We haven't even touched on Sam Hartman and Notre Dame and his continued.
- 32:05Speaker 5: I saw that one coming too.
- 32:07Speaker 5: Unrealized idea.
- 32:09Speaker 5: We could yeah, yeah, that's one that you know.
- 32:12Speaker 5: Finally get a crack at Clemson with a capable roster, and I'm, you know whoo that pick six.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Yep.
- 32:19Speaker 5: Kind of just clutched his heart out right there.
- 32:22Speaker 1: And Dabbo's selling stock.
- 32:23Speaker 5: Oh, he's buying all in on Clemson.
- 32:26Speaker 1: He's selling the Clemson stock.
- 32:27Speaker 5: Best four loss team in the country.
- 32:30Speaker 1: That's right.
- 32:31Speaker 5: Yeah, who's better?
- 32:34Speaker 1: They're hosting North Carolina next week.
- 32:36Speaker 1: I think they'll take care of business again.
- 32:40Speaker 5: Hey, they got a shot.
- 32:41Speaker 1: No, that's on the 18th yeah.
- 32:43Speaker 5: They're hosting Georgia Tech, I believe coming up.
- 32:45Speaker 5: Chipley is going to come back.
- 32:46Speaker 5: I'm not sure that they really need him back.
- 32:51Speaker 5: Moffa looks pretty good when he's-.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Alabama looks good.
- 32:54Speaker 5: They do.
- 32:55Speaker 5: They're running the ball.
- 32:55Speaker 5: That's what they are.
- 32:57Speaker 5: They're a team with a guy that's like a big running back that can throw football a little bit Kind of like the Tebow model that Urban Meyer was doing.
- 33:06Speaker 5: But hey, it's putting points on the board.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Yeah, they're just making the right adjustments.
- 33:12Speaker 1: At halftime it was a, I mean LSU was winning.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Then, all of a sudden, the defense.
- 33:18Speaker 5: Yeah, they're soft and I think they figured that out.
- 33:21Speaker 5: We're just gonna, we're gonna run it, run it right down their throat.
- 33:24Speaker 5: Yeah, alabama obviously made the defensive adjustments.
- 33:28Speaker 5: And that's you hit Jaden Daniels.
- 33:30Speaker 5: Enough, you'll rattle him.
- 33:32Speaker 5: I think a lot of heat needs to start going towards Brian Kelly.
- 33:37Speaker 5: This is a guy that was hanging his hat there at Notre Dame that you know.
- 33:42Speaker 5: I don't have the same kind of access to the elite talent that some of these schools in the South have Well here he is.
- 33:51Speaker 5: You know they've recruited extremely well.
- 33:54Speaker 5: They got a Heisman contender at quarterback.
- 33:57Speaker 5: I know they don't have a defense.
- 33:59Speaker 5: That's really traditionally what LSU puts out on the field but, man, you got to find a way to quit losing all the big games.
- 34:08Speaker 5: I don't know how much longer they're going to put up with it.
- 34:11Speaker 5: You've found the swamp out there.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, all right.
- 34:17Speaker 1: So let's I think you're starting to, so I'd say Jaden Daniels he hit his Heisman, chances took, took a hit, and there, well, I mean unrealized idea?
- 34:30Speaker 1: Yeah, unrealized.
- 34:31Speaker 1: I mean, you just can't I hope he's okay.
- 34:34Speaker 5: Man, it looked like a nasty concussion.
- 34:36Speaker 5: Yeah, they put him back in the game, which was yeah, I mean you know there's that, but yeah, his Heisman, they're done.
- 34:46Speaker 5: You know you play a premier team and you can't get it done in the second half and you throw that pick and it's done.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Michael Penix.
- 34:56Speaker 1: He's right up there again Is your.
- 34:59Speaker 1: He's the favorite now.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Bo Nix is two.
- 35:03Speaker 1: You might get a rematch.
- 35:05Speaker 5: Yeah, you'll get a rematch.
- 35:06Speaker 5: I'm going to mention a name that just because it's kind of different in terms of the position.
- 35:14Speaker 5: I would keep an eye on Marvin Harrison Jr, if they continue to win and it's, you know, like the game against Rutgers.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:22Speaker 5: You know he got.
- 35:23Speaker 5: He didn't do a ton for the whole game.
- 35:24Speaker 5: We had two really huge touchdowns to kind of ice the game and pull away.
- 35:28Speaker 5: If he continues to put up stats like that, I mean I think he'll be a dark horse, but right now I think Jordan Travis is on his page.
- 35:36Speaker 1: He's on pace.
- 35:36Speaker 1: He's probably like.
- 35:37Speaker 1: He's like fifth right now in the odds.
- 35:39Speaker 1: He's right behind a JJ McCarthy which I mean, come on.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Yeah, if I think you know one, maybe two more touchdown throws on, you know, saturday against Pitt without your top four, your top five receivers, I think it would open a few more eyes.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Yeah, but he did put up a career high passing number.
- 36:02Speaker 5: Yeah, they just couldn't get it in the end zone.
- 36:04Speaker 1: You know, let's bring big time.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Nolan see what he thinks about the game, the trip to Pitt.
- 36:10Speaker 1: What are you to look forward to with Miami?
- 36:15Speaker 1: We'll ask him everything where Jordan Travis is and the Heisman.
- 36:19Speaker 1: See what his take is On.
- 36:24Speaker 1: What was the biggest thing he liked about Saturday?
- 36:27Speaker 1: I know he's excited about going back to Charlotte, so we'll talk to big time.
- 36:31Speaker 1: No, when we get back.
- 36:31Speaker 1: No, we're not a sport.
- 36:36Speaker 4: Oh, this boy, this boy, this boy, this boy, this boy.
- 36:40Speaker 1: All right, big time.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Noel joins the show.
- 36:47Speaker 4: Right here.
- 36:48Speaker 4: Yeah, go get up.
- 36:50Speaker 4: Yeah, get up man.
- 36:51Speaker 4: No, I didn't know.
- 36:53Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, just, we just like to thank Chris Cotter for joining us.
- 37:00Speaker 4: God, he's got on the podcast.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Yeah, man on the podcast, he's about to go do back real heavy back lift.
- 37:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I bet.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Yeah, well, man, what was your most impressive thing about the game Saturday?
- 37:17Speaker 4: Just that we finally clenched the Charlotte again.
- 37:19Speaker 4: Dude, we're trying to get back there forever.
- 37:22Speaker 4: Acc title game in Charlotte.
- 37:24Speaker 4: It's just.
- 37:24Speaker 4: It just feels good, man, no matter what happens this week, like we're there.
- 37:29Speaker 4: No matter what happens next week or the week after, like we're there.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true, man.
- 37:35Speaker 1: You know, florida State 24 to seven win over over pit.
- 37:44Speaker 4: You know Definitely left some more points on the board in this one too.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but Florida State had some bad news at the start of the game.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Keon Coleman was ruled out, and then Johnny Wilson was out as well, so your top two receivers gone.
- 37:58Speaker 1: And then, not only that, you had Hakeem Williams out do span out.
- 38:02Speaker 1: So you were shorthanded at the receiver position and Jordan Travis still threw for 360 yards.
- 38:11Speaker 4: I believe, a career high right.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a career high.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Really, I thought a business like performance.
- 38:19Speaker 1: The defense stepped up.
- 38:20Speaker 1: They were, you know, pit was 0 for 11 on third down.
- 38:26Speaker 4: That's getting it done, man.
- 38:27Speaker 4: I mean, the defense has basically held the last four opponents to single digits.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:33Speaker 4: I think four or something like that.
- 38:35Speaker 1: That's what you wanna see.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Well, we talked to Chris about Louisville.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Who that's?
- 38:42Speaker 1: I think that's gonna be the matchup in Charlotte.
- 38:44Speaker 1: You're talking about Charlotte and they've had a really good season.
- 38:47Speaker 1: They had the one slip up at pit and but they just dominated Virginia Tech last week.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Louisville looks like the opponent that FSU's probably gonna face in Charlotte.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Any thoughts on Louisville?
- 39:01Speaker 1: Big time, Noel.
- 39:04Speaker 4: They'll be in the top 10 when we play them.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it should be.
- 39:08Speaker 4: Which is a good thing.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:11Speaker 4: We don't really have any elite wins anymore, you know.
- 39:14Speaker 4: With the LSU losing Duke's falling off, Clemson's falling off, LSU's falling off.
- 39:18Speaker 4: Yeah they're all worth the adversaries, but we don't have that elite win to help us jump into playoff rankings.
- 39:28Speaker 4: Really the parody Parity.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Is it used to be any given Sunday and now it's any given Saturday?
- 39:35Speaker 1: I mean you can lose a game any week.
- 39:40Speaker 5: Yeah, fsu's best or you know their best case scenario is for Louisville to just win out, be as highly ranked as possible.
- 39:50Speaker 4: Definitely.
- 39:53Speaker 5: Because, like you said, there aren't gonna be any quote unquote.
- 39:55Speaker 5: Marquee wins when it gets to it.
- 39:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean basically, what we're trying to avoid is Georgia in the first round.
- 40:04Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, you're also trying to avoid the unlikely scenario that you get five power, five, you know unbeaten.
- 40:15Speaker 4: Well, that won't happen, because Michigan and Ohio State play each other.
- 40:19Speaker 1: That's true, it's still I mean yeah.
- 40:22Speaker 5: You get Georgia, you get Ohio State or Michigan, you'll have Oregon right there, slipping into one loss, big 12 blew that.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Oklahoma blew that idea and they lost again to Oklahoma State.
- 40:34Speaker 1: So the big 12 will have.
- 40:36Speaker 1: They're the only shot.
- 40:37Speaker 1: It's Texas I'll have to win out.
- 40:40Speaker 4: You don't wanna get jumped by Washington though.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Yeah, washington.
- 40:43Speaker 1: I mean that could happen.
- 40:44Speaker 1: I wouldn't be surprised if it did.
- 40:46Speaker 1: I'm not gonna worry about that If that happens, they should leave out.
- 40:49Speaker 4: I mean, that'll leave out.
- 40:50Speaker 4: Well, let's.
- 40:51Speaker 4: The one lost Michigan or Ohio State.
- 40:53Speaker 5: Let's throw this nightmare scenario out here where Michigan say Michigan beats Ohio State, so they're undefeated, they're obviously in, but Ohio State has all these quote unquote marquee wins.
- 41:06Speaker 5: So essentially what you're coming down to is an undefeated SEC team is definitely in, there's one undefeated team in the big 10, that's definitely in, and now you have three teams buying for two spots.
- 41:20Speaker 5: So if Ohio State is definitely gonna be taken there because in that scenario I think it's very unlikely Ohio State gets left out, if their only loss is to Michigan but you saw it happen last season, the exact same thing Over an undefeated team yeah, yeah If it comes down to two teams buying for a spot Washington, florida State or Ohio State there's just as much chance that one of Washington or Florida State get left out and spot for Ohio State.
- 41:52Speaker 1: I'll tell you right now if you have a undefeated power five, you're getting in, and if you lose a game, you're not.
- 41:58Speaker 1: You cannot do that.
- 42:00Speaker 1: That would be.
- 42:00Speaker 1: That would be a nightmare situation.
- 42:03Speaker 5: Well, you know, like, all I'm saying is nobody ever expected them to put the preseason number one team that went undefeated through the regular season behind two one loss teams.
- 42:13Speaker 1: What's the big 10 gonna do with Michigan, though, I mean?
- 42:16Speaker 5: they're gonna.
- 42:17Speaker 5: I will see who cares until they do anything, it's just all speculation and rumors and allegations.
- 42:23Speaker 4: I don't see anything happen in this season.
- 42:25Speaker 4: I think they're just gonna let it play out and then they'll come down hard.
- 42:29Speaker 4: Well, Michigan, Michigan is already late January.
- 42:33Speaker 5: Yeah, they got notice of.
- 42:35Speaker 5: You know that punishment was coming and so Michigan has said well, if we get punished before the NCAA has done their investigation, you know we're going to take legal action and that whole process Like nothing is gonna happen this season just because it's gonna get tied up in court.
- 42:53Speaker 5: There's really no way that they're gonna hand down any you know actual impactful punishment on Michigan this season.
- 43:01Speaker 5: So the thought is they're just continue to win, go into the college football, play short of hardball coming out.
- 43:06Speaker 5: You know what?
- 43:07Speaker 5: Yeah, I knew we were cheating.
- 43:08Speaker 5: I designed it all.
- 43:10Speaker 5: You know, screw you guys.
- 43:12Speaker 5: They're not going to do anything to Michigan.
- 43:16Speaker 5: There's too much money at stake.
- 43:17Speaker 5: Right Milkstake, milkstake.
- 43:20Speaker 4: Bottom line is we just have to handle our business.
- 43:23Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, miami, north Alabama and Florida.
- 43:27Speaker 4: Yeah you got to win one game at a time.
- 43:30Speaker 4: That's right, man.
- 43:32Speaker 5: This is the biggest one of the season coming up, essentially so far, yep, all right, and so we're at the swamp.
- 43:41Speaker 4: I'm really hoping that games at noon.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Yeah, that would be nice.
- 43:45Speaker 4: It'd be nice to get that's probably the loudest place we play all year.
- 43:49Speaker 4: It's small.
- 43:50Speaker 5: It would be nice to get a nice sleepy noon game there it would, it really would.
- 43:58Speaker 1: We had to go Well we got to get on out of here, rides here, but your Things.
- 44:05Speaker 1: 14 and a half is the line Before to stay Miami.
- 44:12Speaker 4: Is it that big?
- 44:13Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I was a little surprised.
- 44:15Speaker 5: It's kind of high.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean Miami look bad, it's a happy happen.
- 44:22Speaker 4: I mean, they did there off their offense.
- 44:24Speaker 5: Look bad yeah you know, their defense did as much as they could, for as long as they could, right, but We'll see they have talent.
- 44:33Speaker 1: You have to think you're gonna get their best effort in the rivalry game, is it say?
- 44:38Speaker 1: I mean that's their season.
- 44:41Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah you know absolutely at this point.
- 44:44Speaker 5: Look at it have.
- 44:47Speaker 1: They have talent on that team.
- 44:48Speaker 1: They have receivers.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Will I mean, will TBD play?
- 44:52Speaker 1: I mean he did look, but he's just up and down Jekyll and Hyde who you gonna get, because you saw him against A&M, you know, carve him up for five touchdowns, but then you've seen him against Georgia Tech for three picks and just look terrible.
- 45:09Speaker 5: Through a couple bad ones against NC State too.
- 45:11Speaker 5: Yeah, there's something's up with him, and I'm I still say he's not healthy.
- 45:17Speaker 5: They don't have a lot behind them.
- 45:20Speaker 5: They just got the.
- 45:21Speaker 5: The freshman I'm pretty sure jacuri brown is has decided to redshirt himself, so they have two scholarship quarterbacks on the roster.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Wow.
- 45:34Speaker 5: I expect to see a lot of running and and attempts by Miami to kind of control clock.
- 45:39Speaker 5: You know same thing that most teams have tried to.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Who knows, man, the D line man and the linebackers.
- 45:45Speaker 1: They're playing fundamentally sound football.
- 45:47Speaker 1: I really they've really put up a nice effort.
- 45:51Speaker 1: This past Saturday fiske played really well.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a load.
- 45:57Speaker 1: You know we got a half a sack.
- 45:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I would say, man, you play pit dude.
- 46:01Speaker 5: They're big up front on both sides and just it's hard to.
- 46:05Speaker 5: It's hard to dominate up there.
- 46:07Speaker 5: You got to just kind of get in a A long, 12 round boxing match with him.
- 46:12Speaker 1: Yep.
- 46:12Speaker 1: Well, we got a lot of games to look forward to this week big rivalry matchups and big games all across the country.
- 46:18Speaker 1: We're gonna do our picks tomorrow and we got NFL picks Thursday.
- 46:24Speaker 1: I'd like to thank Chris Cotter again, thanks to Jimmy Reno and thanks big-time, noel Jason, and we'll talk to you next time right here on the North Florida sports network.
- 46:35Speaker 4: You know we had to go.
- 46:40Speaker 4: All right, we see here, we got a.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Uh um.
