- 0:01Speaker 1: And I love the rain. I've always been somebody who
- 0:04Speaker 1: loves a thunderstorm, always appreciate a nice torrential downpour, especially
- 0:08Speaker 1: if you're cozy and tucked into your home. So, yeah,
- 0:11Speaker 1: bring it on. Let's get those dry conditions nice and
- 0:16Speaker 1: moist and wet and flourishing again. Nothing wrong with that.
- 0:18Speaker 2: That would be good. My yard is crunchy. My yard
- 0:22Speaker 2: should not be crunchy. And I got sprinklers, but they
- 0:24Speaker 2: don't hit everywhere. And so there we all are. So, hey,
- 0:28Speaker 2: happy Wednesday.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Yes, sir. Just got back from my little cardiology visit.
- 0:33Speaker 1: You asked me about it, and just a real quick update,
- 0:35Speaker 1: you know, because I got this blockage in the old
- 0:37Speaker 1: Widowmaker and found a great cardiologist. I liked him. He said,
- 0:41Speaker 1: you're not in crisis. You're not going to drop dead
- 0:43Speaker 1: any second. I said, you sure? I said, I've got
- 0:45Speaker 1: an ICU. I have a guarantee.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Booked.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I've got like a suite over at the hospital ready.
- 0:50Speaker 1: He said, nah, you're fine. But they're giving me everything
- 0:53Speaker 1: and the kitchen sink. They're going to be giving me
- 0:54Speaker 1: statins out the wazoo. They're giving me all this. The shock.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Not every two weeks. As you said, the key now
- 1:00Speaker 1: is we've got to get your bad cholesterol level down.
- 1:04Speaker 1: And there's a drug he really likes. It's a shot
- 1:07Speaker 1: called Repatha. And that's apparently people who've been in my
- 1:11Speaker 1: boat will know what that's all about. So I've got
- 1:13Speaker 1: to talk to the insurance company because the pharmacist called
- 1:17Speaker 1: and said, Mr. Gallagher, do you know that your copay
- 1:19Speaker 1: is $ 500 for this drug? I said, oh, $ 500? Goodness gracious.
- 1:24Speaker 1: So I'll have to navigate that. I'll call my friends
- 1:26Speaker 1: at Chapter who guided me through Medicare and I'll get
- 1:28Speaker 1: that fixed. But yeah, I'm all set to go. Look,
- 1:30Speaker 1: I've lost a bunch of weight. Thank you, PhD Soda.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Thank you for that world of losing weight. I'm exercising
- 1:37Speaker 1: every night. I'm working out. I'm doing the trainer. I'm
- 1:39Speaker 1: doing everything right. I think I got to get rid
- 1:41Speaker 1: of the caffeine diet Coke. Chat GPT is recommending get
- 1:46Speaker 1: rid of the caffeine. But get the caffeine free because
- 1:48Speaker 1: the caffeine is what gives you a little bit of
- 1:50Speaker 1: elevated blood pressure, they said.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Or also, hello, diet drinks are poison. So how about
- 1:56Speaker 2: just stopping that anyway?
- 1:58Speaker 1: Don't take everything from me, please. Can you give me something?
- 2:02Speaker 1: We talked about this on the podcast yesterday. The vegan diet.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Things to prolong your life or maybe it just seems
- 2:09Speaker 2: that way.
- 2:09Speaker 1: The esselstein diet i got my kids sends me one
- 2:13Speaker 1: of my kids sends me the book the esselstein diet
- 2:15Speaker 1: and i'm about 20 pages in i said no i'm
- 2:18Speaker 1: out just take me now lord i'm not gonna eat
- 2:21Speaker 1: just leafy veggies and tofu what are you nuts you
- 2:25Speaker 1: can't have any you can't eat anything with a face
- 2:27Speaker 1: or a mother you can't have eggs You can't have cheese.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I'm like, please, kill me now, please. No, I'm not.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I do a Mediterranean. I'm doing a Ph.D. I know
- 2:38Speaker 1: what to do. Low carbs, a little bit of fat.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I'll be fine. Look, I could be– whenever you feel
- 2:46Speaker 1: sorry for yourself, think about somebody else that's going through something.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Did you see the lady in Washington County, Ohio? She
- 2:53Speaker 1: filed a lawsuit against the hospital. Probably had a pretty
- 2:56Speaker 1: good reason.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:58Speaker 1: They cut off the wrong leg.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Oh, don't they put a Sharpie on things these days?
- 3:03Speaker 2: How did she not notice they were this? Well, there's
- 3:07Speaker 2: probably under general anesthesia. No, they don't start sawing it
- 3:11Speaker 2: off while you're all the way to the room. They
- 3:13Speaker 2: amputated her left leg while intending to operate on her
- 3:16Speaker 2: cancerous right leg. Now she doesn't have any legs. Because
- 3:20Speaker 2: they took out the wrong leg. Because they had to
- 3:22Speaker 2: go back and do the– oh, my goodness.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Yep, yep, yep. The lawsuit said the team prepped the
- 3:27Speaker 1: wrong leg, put the tourniquet on the wrong thigh, did
- 3:30Speaker 1: everything on the wrong leg, cut the wrong leg off.
- 3:33Speaker 1: She wakes up and says, wait a minute. It's my
- 3:36Speaker 1: right leg you were supposed to amputate. And they're like, well, oops.
- 3:41Speaker 1: So now she's legless. So I'll take a little plaque
- 3:45Speaker 1: in the artery. You know, maybe I'll be okay because
- 3:47Speaker 1: that would be– they better give her a trillion dollars.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I mean, what do you— There's all the money. All
- 3:54Speaker 1: the money. Give her all the money. And look, don't
- 4:00Speaker 1: they mark you when you're awake?
- 4:03Speaker 2: That's what I was going to say. Sometimes if there's
- 4:05Speaker 2: just something— I' m trying to remember this. Something they came at— I
- 4:08Speaker 2: don't know if it was me or something. Or Ethan
- 4:10Speaker 2: had something, like a little something on his finger. There
- 4:12Speaker 2: was a little bump we were trying to get rid
- 4:13Speaker 2: of when he was 12. And they mark it. And
- 4:15Speaker 2: they put a little dot on it just because people
- 4:17Speaker 2: get busy. People get scrambly-brained. And just to make sure, oh,
- 4:21Speaker 2: I'd rather be 15 times too careful than let it
- 4:24Speaker 2: go and have something like that happen.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Oh, my Lord in heaven above. I mean, that's a
- 4:30Speaker 1: story that, my, that poor, poor woman. Anyway, you know,
- 4:35Speaker 1: couldn't AI have straightened that out for those folks? I mean, now,
- 4:39Speaker 1: are we going to say superintelligence since President Trump wants
- 4:42Speaker 1: to rename it? Are we going to go along with
- 4:44Speaker 1: that name change?
- 4:46Speaker 2: I like being understood. So I'm going to let the
- 4:50Speaker 2: culture figure this out. And if everybody starts saying superintelligence,
- 4:56Speaker 2: then I will reflect that. Since I need to be understood,
- 5:02Speaker 2: everybody knows what AI is. That's in the lexicon. If
- 5:04Speaker 2: he is able to, through the force of his will,
- 5:06Speaker 2: change the dictionary of how people speak, then I will
- 5:10Speaker 2: go along. In fact, let me ask you, honestly, I
- 5:13Speaker 2: can't remember the last time I really referred to it.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Do you say that you live on the Gulf of America?
- 5:22Speaker 1: Oh, sure. Sure, I do. I kind of do.
- 5:24Speaker 2: I remember the last time I just organically made reference
- 5:28Speaker 2: to it.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Oh, I got 300 and some people joining Scott Jennings
- 5:34Speaker 1: and me on the Gulf of America cruise.
- 5:35Speaker 2: We're calling it that, and we're calling it that for
- 5:37Speaker 2: good reason.
- 5:38Speaker 1: It's because it's the Gulf of America.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Precisely right. I guess I'm just thinking, and maybe it's
- 5:42Speaker 2: been a long time since I have, if we were
- 5:45Speaker 2: just sort of talking about let's say Florida beaches and
- 5:48Speaker 2: the difference between being in Jacksonville or Daytona or Miami or,
- 5:52Speaker 2: Versus being in Tampa or Panama City. It's the difference
- 5:55Speaker 2: between whether you want to swim in the ocean or
- 5:56Speaker 2: whether you want to swim in the Gulf of... I
- 5:59Speaker 2: think I would say America. And you know why? Because
- 6:02Speaker 2: Gulf of America, it kind of caught on. And everybody
- 6:07Speaker 2: pretty well knows what you're talking about.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Now, there are limits, though. I will tell you this.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I didn't get too exercised about the Trump-Kennedy Center, even
- 6:15Speaker 1: though lefties lost their minds. Of course not. Okay, and
- 6:19Speaker 1: you know, and I'm a performer. I kind of, you know,
- 6:22Speaker 1: all right. You know where I'm going to draw the line?
- 6:25Speaker 1: You see the latest that they're considering? Oh, no. Renaming
- 6:29Speaker 1: Ford's Theater where Lincoln was shot. I'm calling that the
- 6:33Speaker 1: Trump Ford Theater. Now, that may be a bridge too far, Mark.
- 6:38Speaker 2: What did he– well, what is he doing to– I mean,
- 6:43Speaker 2: the Trump Kennedy Center, he's about refurbishing it, making it
- 6:46Speaker 2: great again, blah, blah, blah. But what's the logic for
- 6:49Speaker 2: making it Trump Ford's theater?
- 6:51Speaker 1: Well, maybe he just– Wants to see his name on
- 6:54Speaker 1: Ford's theater. I don't know.
- 6:56Speaker 2: As crazy as this makes people, there's usually some kind
- 6:59Speaker 2: of reason behind that.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Well, is there? I mean, even if they refurbish Ford's theater,
- 7:07Speaker 1: I mean, that's like his history, 1865.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Is it a slap against Ford? I mean, it's not
- 7:13Speaker 2: like it's... Who even is the Ford that the theater's
- 7:16Speaker 2: named after?
- 7:16Speaker 1: I can look that up with AI. It's the theater
- 7:18Speaker 1: where Lincoln was shot.
- 7:19Speaker 2: It's not like it's named after him.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Well, no, but we know it's the theater. It's like
- 7:24Speaker 1: Dealey Plaza. I mean, you could be the Trump Dealey
- 7:28Speaker 1: Plaza now.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I don't think he wants that.
- 7:30Speaker 1: How about the Trump School Depository Building? You know, I mean,
- 7:34Speaker 1: how far the naming thing. I get it. It just
- 7:37Speaker 1: gets tedious. But on the other hand. For the people
- 7:42Speaker 1: on our side who love to stick the thumb in
- 7:45Speaker 1: the eye of the other side, they love this. They're like,
- 7:48Speaker 1: take it. Go take it. Cry some more, libs. And
- 7:54Speaker 1: I don't know. I kind of understand that. It's like
- 7:57Speaker 1: the Kurt Schlichter spirit of things. But on the other hand...
- 8:01Speaker 1: Can it go.
- 8:01Speaker 2: A little far?
- 8:02Speaker 1: I mean, the Trump Ford Theater?
- 8:06Speaker 2: It can. Okay, here's the answer. President Trump has publicly... Oh,
- 8:10Speaker 2: hold it. It might be fake news. He is denied
- 8:14Speaker 2: wanting to rename Ford's Theater after an MS Now report.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Oh, good.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Fake news? Claimed aides had discussed the idea. He called
- 8:24Speaker 2: it fake news, a ridiculous lie, and a hoax. He
- 8:28Speaker 2: asked who would possibly want to put a name on
- 8:30Speaker 2: such a tragic place?
- 8:33Speaker 1: Well, some would call the Kennedy Center a tragic place
- 8:36Speaker 1: with all the tiles falling off the ceiling. I mean,
- 8:39Speaker 1: you know, and he was going to fix it. Now
- 8:40Speaker 1: they're talking about raising the whole thing to the ground.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, it's, look, just, we got
- 8:47Speaker 1: 33 days now. 33 days before the midterm election. I
- 8:50Speaker 1: see this poll. Ken Paxton. 34.
- 8:52Speaker 2: 34.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Well, that's what I thought. But then Tracy comes running in.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Tracy makes this banner every day. I'm so glad I'm
- 9:00Speaker 1: not losing my mind. I thought I was so stressed
- 9:04Speaker 1: about my dumb heart thing. Tracy makes this banner that's
- 9:09Speaker 1: worthy of something you'd fly at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
- 9:12Speaker 1: And yesterday, I thought it was 35. Today, she comes
- 9:16Speaker 1: running in with this huge banner, big, bold letters, 33
- 9:20Speaker 1: days to go.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I'm thinking, did I miss a day?
- 9:24Speaker 2: She has a point. It depends on how you want
- 9:26Speaker 2: to do this. All right.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Obviously, yesterday is five weeks. Five times seven is thirty five.
- 9:32Speaker 2: But do you want to count to the actual day?
- 9:35Speaker 1: I guess on or the day before.
- 9:38Speaker 2: But I want to tell you what, on the day
- 9:39Speaker 2: before the election, on November 2nd, we will say we
- 9:43Speaker 2: have one day.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Right. Right. We can do that. So we say we
- 9:47Speaker 1: have one day. If you count back from that. So
- 9:50Speaker 1: just tell me, how many days? Because I have to
- 9:52Speaker 1: say this a lot on the show today.
- 9:55Speaker 2: It's 34.
- 9:55Speaker 1: You know what?
- 9:55Speaker 2: If your goal is to be understood. Because she kind
- 9:58Speaker 2: of has a point. I kind of get it. it,
- 10:00Speaker 2: but that would confuse people. 34 today is 34.
- 10:02Speaker 1: No, she doesn't have a point. She doesn't have a point.
- 10:04Speaker 1: She's stressed out. Her computer isn't working right today. So
- 10:07Speaker 1: she's stressed, and she's a mess. I'll tell you one thing.
- 10:10Speaker 1: We can't go from 35 yesterday to 33 today. We
- 10:13Speaker 1: lost today. That would be a problem. Anyway, here's the
- 10:17Speaker 1: Ken Paxton internal. There's some polling. How about this? I mean,
- 10:20Speaker 1: you don't hear this in the mainstream media. Paxton, 48. Tallarico, 45. Minnesota,
- 10:27Speaker 1: Michelle Tafoya is within one in every single poll. You're
- 10:31Speaker 1: not hearing that on the NBC nightly news. They do
- 10:34Speaker 1: it every time. I'm telling you, forget that noise of
- 10:39Speaker 1: the polls. Show up, bring ten people with you, we're
- 10:42Speaker 1: going to win. It's that simple. I am so sick
- 10:45Speaker 1: of the doomsday sayers that are, it's all over for Republicans.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Texas is going to go blue. Minnesota, baloney. Look at
- 10:54Speaker 1: what happened in the past. Iowa, Ohio. We say this
- 10:58Speaker 1: again and again and again. Do you see the enthusiasm
- 11:01Speaker 1: level that came out, that poll? How about a poll
- 11:03Speaker 1: that shows we're a dead heat? Democrats have an 81%
- 11:07Speaker 1: enthusiasm level. They're going to vote. 81% committed to vote. Republicans, 81%.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Works for me. I see all the stories about Democrat
- 11:16Speaker 2: enthusiasm because Trump's in power. Republicans have the House and
- 11:19Speaker 2: the Senate. They're going to be enthused when you're trying
- 11:20Speaker 2: to get power back. But the notion that we are
- 11:23Speaker 2: all slump shouldered and dead in the water. I am
- 11:26Speaker 2: enthused about stopping their nonsense. I'm enthused about fighting communism.
- 11:29Speaker 2: I'm enthused about gender sanity. I'm enthused about, listen, affordability
- 11:34Speaker 2: in the war.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I know.
- 11:35Speaker 2: But Democrats aren't going to handle either of those any better.
- 11:38Speaker 2: So I'm doggone enthused. And I've coined a thing this morning, Mike.
- 11:42Speaker 2: I've coined a thing. Operation prove them wrong. It is
- 11:45Speaker 2: Operation Prove Them Wrong. Of course, we want to vote
- 11:47Speaker 2: for the sake of voting, but from the Democrats to
- 11:50Speaker 2: the media to these troublemaking Republican weasels, they must all
- 11:53Speaker 2: be shown the error of their ways with victories in
- 11:56Speaker 2: 34 days.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Well, all I know with 34 days out is that
- 12:01Speaker 1: Iran's IRGC, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, released a 25-page
- 12:07Speaker 1: letter addressed to the American people.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Oh, Lord.
- 12:10Speaker 1: The letter is urging them... I'm not kidding you. To
- 12:14Speaker 1: vote Democrat. To vote to oppose President Trump. Look, you
- 12:18Speaker 1: know something? It's not a good sign, Mark, when the
- 12:21Speaker 1: IRGC shifts their chance from death to America to vote Democrat.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Vote Democrat. That's right. Vote Tolo Rico. Tolo Rico.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Vote for the party that Iran wants you to vote for.
- 12:35Speaker 1: That's the party. Hey, that's their party, the Democrat Party,
- 12:39Speaker 1: a party of political violence, a party of open borders,
- 12:42Speaker 1: and now a party of the IRGC.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Somebody came up with something. I don't want to maul it.
- 12:50Speaker 2: It was just somebody's Twitter post. It said, think of
- 12:53Speaker 2: four things that have killed like the most people, communism, socialism, abortion,
- 12:59Speaker 2: and Islam, and the Democrats support all four.
- 13:04Speaker 1: That's true. But Mark, that is irrefutably correct. Now, that's
- 13:09Speaker 1: what's on the ballot in 34 days. That's what people
- 13:14Speaker 1: have to decide. This is good or evil, Mark. It's
- 13:18Speaker 1: really that simple. Show up. Bring 10 people. We're going
- 13:21Speaker 1: to win. I love you. See you on the podcast.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Don't miss it because we are. We're on a roll
- 13:25Speaker 1: these days. Yesterday was one of the best ones ever.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Yesterday's episode was awesome. I put your link to yesterday's
- 13:30Speaker 2: episode up a couple of hours ago for people just
- 13:32Speaker 2: to get themselves all ginned up and ready to go
- 13:34Speaker 2: for today's episode. I don't know.
- 13:36Speaker 1: What was it yesterday? It was just a mood. I
- 13:38Speaker 1: don't know. Just a lot.
- 13:39Speaker 2: It was a lot of news. It was a lot
- 13:41Speaker 2: of stories. It was Apple Watch talk. It was vegan
- 13:44Speaker 2: diet talk. The kind of loopy stuff that gives us
- 13:47Speaker 2: our charm, I guess.
- 13:48Speaker 1: All right.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Let's keep it up. Wherever you get your podcast, Apple, Spotify,
- 13:52Speaker 1: make sure you follow, like, subscribe, and we'll see you
- 13:55Speaker 1: noon Eastern, 11 Central, live on YouTube, and then wherever
- 13:58Speaker 1: you get your podcasts. And join Mark and me for
- 14:01Speaker 1: M & M Extra.
