As you sit here on December 11th, uh
• 0:06
  today, [snorts]
• 0:07
um it sure feels like the the sport that
• 0:11
we've loved has has changed forever. Um
• 0:15
it's not just the coaching changes and
• 0:18
the the transfer portal and the uh the
• 0:21
money involved, but you look at at Notre
• 0:24
Dame deciding just not to play in a bowl
• 0:27
game after not making the playoffs. And
• 0:29
it [snorts] just further emphasizes the
• 0:30
point that this has turned into
• 0:32
basically the NFL where it's just a
• 0:34
playoff situation. Um, you know, I know
• 0:37
that Eli Drinks has drawn some eye from
• 0:40
  those who said, "Look,
• 0:42
um, you know, he talked about, you know,
• 0:45
it's okay to be nine and three. That's
• 0:47
still a good year, but that's not a good
• 0:50
year now in the eyes of the college
• 0:51
football world, uh, if you don't make
• 0:53
the playoffs." Um, that's the world we
• 0:55
live in now. And it's a shame. I hate
• 0:58
it. I hate to see that happen. And you
• 1:00
  look at what's next. I don't think it's
• 1:02
going backwards. I think we're going to
• 1:04
16 team playoff and I'll be shocked if
• 1:06
it doesn't happen before next season,
• 1:08
  [snorts] right? Because of everything
• 1:09
  that's going on. I I never understood 12
• 1:11
to begin with. I thought 16, you might
• 1:13
as well just go ahead and make 16 and
• 1:15
have eight on campus games and go from
• 1:17
there. Um, but the bowl games
• 1:19
themselves, I think, are on their last
• 1:22
leg. um if they don't turn into NIL
• 1:25
opportunities, I don't see how teams
• 1:28
start to to to continue to make this
• 1:30
trek with everything going on with the
• 1:32
portal and the timeline and [snorts]
• 1:33
  everything involved. It's be really
• 1:36
difficult to get people in ball games
• 1:37
moving forward in my opinion. Uh without
• 1:39
that NIL component. So, um the sport we
• 1:43
loved has has is has is gone. Um it's
• 1:47
still a shell of itself, but it's a very
• 1:49
very different game nowadays. And I
• 1:51
think it's just something we just have
• 1:52
to accept. I don't like it, but that's
• 1:54
the way it is. So, go check out Bunkers
• 1:56
of Auburn downtown. Great sports bar
• 1:58
  atmosphere, lots of dedicated parking
• 2:00
  spaces. Muckers Auburn downtown.
