- 0:07Speaker 2: right class to Michael Bumpers, who bounces off a one
- 0:10Speaker 2: tackler gets inside the forty down of the thirty five
- 0:13Speaker 2: yard line.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Powered by Seahawks dot Com.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Matt pumpfake's looking at the gold line. He throws it
- 0:17Speaker 2: into the m zone.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Touchdown, Say Hawks.
- 0:20Speaker 2: It's Michael Bumps with a diving.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Catching the end zone.
- 0:23Speaker 2: A ten yard touchdown reception for Bumpus, and the kid
- 0:27Speaker 2: out of Washington State has found himself a place.
- 0:30Speaker 3: On this team.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Now here's your host, NASA Chovie.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Welcome into another edition of Hawk Talk.
- 0:37Speaker 4: This time the Seahawks go back East get the job done,
- 0:40Speaker 4: beating the New England Patriots twenty three to twenty in overtime.
- 0:44Speaker 4: Head coach mc McDonald gets his first road win as
- 0:46Speaker 4: a Seahawks head coach and helping carry on the tradition
- 0:49Speaker 4: of winning road games that start at ten am. Bump
- 0:53Speaker 4: it was great to see. It was really fun to
- 0:54Speaker 4: see hard fought battle as the Seahawks went down there
- 0:57Speaker 4: and I took care of business against the Patriots.
- 0:58Speaker 5: Yeah, it was pressful, right, they got her done. There's
- 1:01Speaker 5: some things that need to be corrected. As always after
- 1:04Speaker 5: a game, nothing's going to be perfect. But a two
- 1:07Speaker 5: and zero went to the east, come back west and.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Get ready to go absolutely absolutely well, let's waste no
- 1:14Speaker 4: more time about it.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Let's figure out what had happened first.
- 1:17Speaker 1: What had happened was on howked talk.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Well, this was the first kind of weird heart stopping
- 1:26Speaker 4: game obviously the Mike McDonald air. There's only been two
- 1:28Speaker 4: games bump last week. It started slow, but the Seahawks
- 1:31Speaker 4: in the second half. I felt kind of took control
- 1:34Speaker 4: early on, and you never really felt like the game
- 1:36Speaker 4: was out of reach or in serious jeopardy.
- 1:38Speaker 3: This game very different.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Game started with both teams trading punts than the Patriots
- 1:44Speaker 4: on the second possession, march right down the field, going
- 1:46Speaker 4: eight plays sixty yards, ending with a five yard touchdown
- 1:49Speaker 4: of former U standout Jalen Polk that made the score
- 1:53Speaker 4: seven nothing. Seahawks would answer quickly with a four play,
- 1:56Speaker 4: seventy two drive seventy two yard drive of their own,
- 1:59Speaker 4: ending with the fifty six yard touchdown to DK Metcalf,
- 2:02Speaker 4: which might be the most wide open. I think he's
- 2:04Speaker 4: ever been in his entire career, but we'll definitely talk
- 2:06Speaker 4: about that later.
- 2:08Speaker 3: That tied things up at seven apiece. Bump.
- 2:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:10Speaker 5: But then the Pages they responded, right, They go fifteen
- 2:12Speaker 5: plays sixty yards, would have to settle for a field goal.
- 2:15Speaker 5: We accept that. That made me score ten to seven.
- 2:18Speaker 5: On the next drive, once again they found the ends.
- 2:20Speaker 6: On the Seahawks. They go eleven plays seventy yards.
- 2:23Speaker 5: That would end on a one yard Zach Sharp and
- 2:26Speaker 5: a run that put the Seahawks ahead fourteen to ten.
- 2:29Speaker 6: Both teams would at field goals, and the Hawks.
- 2:31Speaker 5: Were go into the locker room with a seventeen to
- 2:33Speaker 5: thirteen lead feeling okay, not great, but feeling okay.
- 2:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Absolutely, one of those things where you're like, Okay, they
- 2:41Speaker 4: could play better, but you still feel good about It's
- 2:43Speaker 4: an early start against a team. Quite frankly, Bump, that's
- 2:45Speaker 4: a lot better than most people thought they were. I
- 2:47Speaker 4: think the Patriots are physical football team. I think they're
- 2:50Speaker 4: very well coached, and I was on full display in
- 2:52Speaker 4: that first half. Then the second half came around and
- 2:55Speaker 4: that's where things got a little shaky for the Seahawks.
- 2:57Speaker 4: First drive the second half, they would drive all the
- 2:59Speaker 4: way down the Patriots twenty three yard line. Unfortunately, Seahawks
- 3:03Speaker 4: running back Zack Starbrenay was stopped on fourth down. The
- 3:06Speaker 4: Seahawks would have to settle for no points. The next
- 3:09Speaker 4: four drives they would end in punts and the momentum
- 3:11Speaker 4: really started to shift to the Patriots. They really got
- 3:14Speaker 4: to gash the Seahawks on the ground, cappening eleven play
- 3:18Speaker 4: sixty six yard drive with the Andandre Stevenson getting into
- 3:21Speaker 4: the end zone. That made the score twenty to seventeen
- 3:23Speaker 4: New England. Early in the fourth quarter, the Hawks would
- 3:26Speaker 4: punt on their next drive and the Patriots would march
- 3:28Speaker 4: down the field again, but Byron Murphy and Leonard Williams
- 3:31Speaker 4: come together with a huge sack on third down, making
- 3:34Speaker 4: the Patriots have to settle for a field goal.
- 3:37Speaker 3: That's when the punt. The kick was blocked by.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Julian Love, keeping the score at twenty seventeen, keeping the
- 3:41Speaker 4: Seahawks in the game.
- 3:42Speaker 5: Bump and that was crucial, man, Jay Love, and a
- 3:46Speaker 5: story behind that. He said it during the postgame. He
- 3:48Speaker 5: so was, look, I told we will let's switch. Let
- 3:50Speaker 5: me get after this block, this kick and he blocks
- 3:53Speaker 5: a kick. He continues to deliver, so the Hawks will
- 3:56Speaker 5: get the ball back and they drive down, they kick
- 3:58Speaker 5: a field goal, and they force.
- 3:59Speaker 6: Over time you lose the toss tails never fails, I
- 4:03Speaker 6: guess it does.
- 4:03Speaker 5: As heads was to call, and the Patriots got the
- 4:08Speaker 5: ball first. The offs defense came up with a big
- 4:11Speaker 5: three and out dots and with a nice stop.
- 4:13Speaker 6: Jay Reed helped out with that. The Seahawks will get
- 4:16Speaker 6: the ball, They go down the field pages thirteen yard.
- 4:19Speaker 5: Line, kick a field goal, boom, twenty three to twenty win.
- 4:23Speaker 6: It was stressful, but it got.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Done absolutely And there's a lot of things that we'll
- 4:29Speaker 4: talk about here about the positives and the negatives from
- 4:32Speaker 4: that game. But one of the great things the Seahawks
- 4:33Speaker 4: held the Patriots suggest one hundred and twenty five yards passing. Unfortunately,
- 4:37Speaker 4: the Patriots had a really good game on the ground,
- 4:39Speaker 4: rushing for one hundred and eighty five yards, obviously not
- 4:42Speaker 4: something the Seahawks want to allow. But offensively, the Seahawks
- 4:45Speaker 4: outgained the Patriots three hundred and fifty eight to three.
- 4:48Speaker 5: Ten.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Seahawks will lose the time possession battle, but did not
- 4:52Speaker 4: turn the ball over and made enough plays to pull
- 4:54Speaker 4: out a tough road win. Definitely a lot to improve on,
- 4:57Speaker 4: but the Seahawks get the job done and remain first
- 4:59Speaker 4: place in the NFC West. But Bump, there was a
- 5:02Speaker 4: ton of people out there making plays. Let's get into playmakers,
- 5:07Speaker 4: touchdown playmakers to what time, Holy time, as we do
- 5:17Speaker 4: most weeks.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Bump.
- 5:18Speaker 4: We're gonna start with the quarterback Gino Smith, who had
- 5:20Speaker 4: an amazing game thirty three to forty four, three hundred
- 5:23Speaker 4: and twenty seven yards, one touchdown. He completed seventy five
- 5:27Speaker 4: percent of his passes, even though Seattle had five drops.
- 5:30Speaker 4: In that game, Gino passed Rick Meyer for fifth place
- 5:33Speaker 4: on Seattle's all time passing completions list with eight hundred
- 5:36Speaker 4: and forty two. He also passed Rick for fifth place
- 5:38Speaker 4: in Seattle's all time passing yards list with nine thousand,
- 5:42Speaker 4: one hundred and thirty eight. Gino played amazing. His completion
- 5:45Speaker 4: percentage could have been over eighty percent. Really put the
- 5:47Speaker 4: team on his back, and it was great to see
- 5:49Speaker 4: him kind of flourishing this Ryan Grubb offense and get
- 5:52Speaker 4: all the receivers involved.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Bump.
- 5:53Speaker 6: Yeah, the thing is.
- 5:54Speaker 5: He knew maybe a quarter into the game that he
- 5:57Speaker 5: was gonna have to be the guy to do all
- 5:59Speaker 5: the heavy lift. Game didn't seem like it was working.
- 6:02Speaker 5: Receivers dropped a couple balls. At that point, he knew like, look,
- 6:05Speaker 5: I have to lead the charge. And I'm sure him
- 6:07Speaker 5: and Ryan Grubb had those conversations like a moon, makeod
- 6:09Speaker 5: decisions and you'll be.
- 6:10Speaker 6: Good to go.
- 6:12Speaker 5: His first game winning driver of the season. Last year
- 6:14Speaker 5: he had five, which led the NFL. He's off to
- 6:16Speaker 5: a great start. Man his mobility in the pocket, he
- 6:19Speaker 5: keeps his eyes down the field. He looked like he
- 6:21Speaker 5: was in complete control. Let's give you mentioned receivers. Let's
- 6:25Speaker 5: give receiver some love. Dk Meck had receptions for one
- 6:29Speaker 5: twenty nine in a touchdown, had a big fifty six
- 6:31Speaker 5: yard reception. I'm going to blown coverage, but you still
- 6:34Speaker 5: got to throw, you still got to catch it.
- 6:36Speaker 6: I mean. He passed Tyler Lockett Darryl Jackson for.
- 6:38Speaker 5: The most receptions in the player six seasons with the squad,
- 6:41Speaker 5: three hundred and eighty five of them things. And he
- 6:43Speaker 5: also passed Gerald Jackson for the second and second place
- 6:46Speaker 5: in franchise history for the most jars in the player's
- 6:49Speaker 5: first six seasons with fifty four hundred and ninety. So
- 6:54Speaker 5: that's one receiver. Here's the other receiver, Jackson Smith and Jigblo.
- 6:58Speaker 5: He had twelve receptions for one seventeen on sixteen targets,
- 7:01Speaker 5: all career highs. Before then, his career highs were seven
- 7:05Speaker 5: receptions for sixty three yards. Daymire double that right there.
- 7:08Speaker 5: This one game day there doubled it. So it was
- 7:10Speaker 5: a nice to see Jackson Smith and Jigliget going early.
- 7:13Speaker 5: We knew it was a part of the game plan
- 7:14Speaker 5: after the first couple of series.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Without question, I think it's really cool to see both
- 7:19Speaker 4: receivers have one of the better days in franchise history
- 7:22Speaker 4: in terms of how many receptions they have, double digit
- 7:24Speaker 4: receptions and then both going over one hundred yards. I
- 7:27Speaker 4: believe that's the first time that's happened, so definitely big
- 7:29Speaker 4: to see that. And that's exactly what we've been kind
- 7:31Speaker 4: of waiting on from JSN And we know all the
- 7:33Speaker 4: talent he had coming out of Ohio State. Showed glimpses
- 7:36Speaker 4: of what he could do last year, but I'm really
- 7:37Speaker 4: excited to see what he can do this year in
- 7:39Speaker 4: this offense. Footbit over the defensive side of the ball.
- 7:42Speaker 4: One of the standoups I want to highlight boy A
- 7:43Speaker 4: mafe Man five tackles, one sack, one TfL, two quarterback hits,
- 7:49Speaker 4: probably could have had up to four sacks. He was
- 7:51Speaker 4: so active he's in the backfield the whole game. Was
- 7:54Speaker 4: really cool to see. Obviously, he would hope to get
- 7:56Speaker 4: a couple more of those sacks, and I think he's
- 7:58Speaker 4: going to as the season goes on, but to just
- 7:59Speaker 4: see him that active and that disruptive, I can't tell
- 8:02Speaker 4: you how many times we saw Jacobe Prissett get up
- 8:05Speaker 4: Grimsey and grabbing his side or his chest, all this
- 8:07Speaker 4: stuff because our guys were definitely bringing pressure all game long,
- 8:11Speaker 4: so that was cool to see. And then just backet
- 8:13Speaker 4: into the back seven, we had ray Sean Jenkins, he
- 8:15Speaker 4: had nine tackles for solo, and then Tyrel Dotson had eight.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Tackles for solo as well.
- 8:21Speaker 4: And then I'll cap it off bump with Julian Love
- 8:23Speaker 4: seven tackles, one pass offended, and one of the biggest
- 8:27Speaker 4: plays of the game, which again we'll talk to you
- 8:28Speaker 4: but in a second, was that blockfield goal. We'll break
- 8:31Speaker 4: that down a little bit, but no, just you know,
- 8:33Speaker 4: great to see this defense. While it wasn't as clean
- 8:36Speaker 4: as it was a week before against the Broncos, it
- 8:39Speaker 4: was still very good. They kept him under you know,
- 8:42Speaker 4: twenty points was a good thing to see. And you
- 8:44Speaker 4: know they bended a little bit, but they didn't break,
- 8:46Speaker 4: so that was good to see from this defense.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Bump. We just kind of talked about it a little bit.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Let's get back to the little receivers. Take us through
- 8:52Speaker 3: the round at bump.
- 8:53Speaker 5: All right, receiver a round up, like I mentioned, d
- 8:55Speaker 5: had ten receptions one touchdown on fourteen targets. Jack Smith
- 9:00Speaker 5: and Jake bad had twelve for one seventeen on sixteen targets.
- 9:03Speaker 5: That's thirty targets out of the forty four that Gino attempted,
- 9:08Speaker 5: so you know they were trying to feed these guys.
- 9:10Speaker 5: Zach Sharpon they had five for thirty one yards. You
- 9:12Speaker 5: had Tyler Lockett with two for fifteen. Also drew two
- 9:16Speaker 5: big passing.
- 9:17Speaker 6: Appearances, one in the end zone one later in the game,
- 9:19Speaker 6: and had a big catch.
- 9:21Speaker 5: And kind of sealed the deal for these guys. Jake
- 9:23Speaker 5: Bubbo had two for fifteen. You know a fan had
- 9:25Speaker 5: one for fourteen. We have Leaviscus channaults one for six.
- 9:30Speaker 5: So you got this heavy at the top and you're
- 9:32Speaker 5: sprinkling and everybody else, and you got Geno completing thirty
- 9:36Speaker 5: three of forty four.
- 9:38Speaker 6: And doing this third.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Man, it's we talked about in week one how it
- 9:43Speaker 4: was going to be. We expected those guys to have
- 9:45Speaker 4: a much bigger game in the following week, and that
- 9:47Speaker 4: definitely came to fruition against the Patriots. Now, let's get
- 9:50Speaker 4: into some of the plays of the game. So these
- 9:52Speaker 4: are kind of some of the biggest plays that we
- 9:54Speaker 4: thought had a huge impact in the Seahawks winning the game.
- 9:56Speaker 4: And things got going right away on that second drive
- 9:59Speaker 4: for the Sea offense as DK Metcalf hooked up or
- 10:02Speaker 4: Gino Smith hooked up DK Metcalf for a fifty six
- 10:05Speaker 4: yard touchdown.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Gino slows everything down again. Charbonay is lined up wide
- 10:10Speaker 2: to the New York side and in the slot is
- 10:14Speaker 2: DK Metcalf. Motion back inside is Fan blitz is coming.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Gino's gonna let it.
- 10:19Speaker 7: Flat, DK fly list ten five Strutson touchdown, Say Hawks.
- 10:27Speaker 2: The Seahawks got just what they wanted.
- 10:30Speaker 7: They got a Blitzen single coverage and DK Metcalf ran
- 10:34Speaker 7: right past the secondary wide open, Gino laid it on
- 10:39Speaker 7: him a fifty six yard touchdown strike and we're a
- 10:43Speaker 7: point away from being tied here in Foxborough.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Bump take us through.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Do that play just from a standpoint of what happened
- 10:50Speaker 4: to the Patrios defense, because DK metcalf is probably never
- 10:52Speaker 4: gonna be that wide open again in his career.
- 10:55Speaker 6: No, he probably isn't. And so this is what happens.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Man, it's an empty formation than what I think offense
- 11:00Speaker 5: did a great job of doing.
- 11:01Speaker 6: It's pre snap movement showing genal Okay, what is a
- 11:05Speaker 6: man is his zone?
- 11:06Speaker 5: So wh They're an empty three by two three to
- 11:09Speaker 5: the right of Geno, two to the.
- 11:10Speaker 6: Left of Gina. You got DK in the slot. Your motion,
- 11:13Speaker 6: I believe that it's sharper the over or maybe it
- 11:15Speaker 6: tight end.
- 11:16Speaker 5: You motion your man over to protect on the back
- 11:19Speaker 5: side of you know, the left side of gen actually
- 11:21Speaker 5: has the front side left side of Geno, and you
- 11:23Speaker 5: have one on one with DK and Gonzales. I'm looking
- 11:26Speaker 5: at Gonzales and it looks like he's dropping to the flat.
- 11:29Speaker 5: What that tells me is he thinks that corner on
- 11:31Speaker 5: the outside of him has a deep third or a quarter.
- 11:34Speaker 5: For some reason, that's not the case. There's a miscommunication
- 11:37Speaker 5: going on there. DK just does a great job of releasing,
- 11:40Speaker 5: getting outside and now this running as fast as you
- 11:43Speaker 5: can and having.
- 11:44Speaker 6: Geno just drop a dime on you.
- 11:45Speaker 5: That is the easiest touchdown DK's ever had in his career.
- 11:48Speaker 5: I don't expect another one like it. But Geno still
- 11:51Speaker 5: had to recognize the bone coverage toss it up to DK.
- 11:54Speaker 6: DK did the rest.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Honestly, I think those sometimes are the most nerve wracking
- 11:59Speaker 4: plays in football, when it's so wide open and you
- 12:01Speaker 4: just say, oh, I got all the time in the world.
- 12:02Speaker 4: And as a receiver bump obviously you would know this.
- 12:04Speaker 4: Running out under the football must feel like the balls
- 12:07Speaker 4: in the air for a million hours. But moving on
- 12:14Speaker 4: to the next big play of the game. I talked
- 12:15Speaker 4: about earlier. Julian Love. He's been making plays since he
- 12:18Speaker 4: got to Seattle. Huge Week one game against the Broncos.
- 12:22Speaker 4: He was definitely active defensively. But the biggest play of
- 12:25Speaker 4: the game. The Patriots are driving down. They're looking to
- 12:28Speaker 4: go up six, but Julian Love comes in and blocks
- 12:31Speaker 4: the field goal attempt.
- 12:34Speaker 2: We've still got a ball game. And a chance for
- 12:36Speaker 2: the Seahawks to come back and win this thing. There's
- 12:39Speaker 2: the field goal attempt to block, and it's gonna roll
- 12:42Speaker 2: back into the end zone and out of the back
- 12:45Speaker 2: of the end zone. So the Seahawks defense what they
- 12:48Speaker 2: need to do. I believe it might have been either
- 12:51Speaker 2: Love or Morris. Everybody's congratulating Julian on the near side.
- 12:56Speaker 2: It must have been him.
- 12:58Speaker 3: It indeed was Julian.
- 12:59Speaker 4: But the thing I loved about this play is blocking
- 13:03Speaker 4: kicks is a lot of technique. If you're coming from
- 13:05Speaker 4: the outside, you're definitely trying to fully extend, take that
- 13:08Speaker 4: griod angle, take it off the foot. But when you're
- 13:11Speaker 4: on the inside, it's about getting skinny right, It's about
- 13:13Speaker 4: getting through the live like that jewing Love slid in between.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Perfect block, great execution, and a huge time play for
- 13:20Speaker 4: Julian Love.
- 13:22Speaker 6: All this is big man. He called a shot.
- 13:24Speaker 5: He told everyone on that special teams, you know, and
- 13:26Speaker 5: they look, we're gonna block this kid, and you have
- 13:29Speaker 5: another choice because if the Patriots make that, you're in
- 13:32Speaker 5: a completely different situation and you didn't give yourself the
- 13:36Speaker 5: best opportunity to win this ball game. So to call
- 13:39Speaker 5: your shot to switch positions with somebody, then go out
- 13:42Speaker 5: there and execute it. Man, Jay Love is floating right now.
- 13:45Speaker 5: He's not even human, He's walking on water. He must
- 13:50Speaker 5: have the most confidence in the world right now.
- 13:53Speaker 6: Jay Love clutched two weeks in a row. Man, He's
- 13:55Speaker 6: had some big time players.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Yeah, Jewlie Love definitely living up to that billying, definitely
- 14:01Speaker 4: living up to the extension that he got. He's definitely
- 14:03Speaker 4: making plays for this Seahawks team. And then another big
- 14:05Speaker 4: play defensively. This was huge in overtime. Obviously, the overtime
- 14:09Speaker 4: rules the Seahawks loss a toss. If the Pagriots go
- 14:12Speaker 4: down and score touchdown, the game is over. On Not
- 14:15Speaker 4: only did the Seahawk stop them from scoring touchdown, they
- 14:17Speaker 4: stopped them in three plays. Big part to this big
- 14:20Speaker 4: time stop on third down by Tyroll Dotson and Jaron
- 14:23Speaker 4: Reid on Ramandre Stevenson, I can guess what.
- 14:27Speaker 2: The Patriots are going to do right here on third
- 14:29Speaker 2: the Hawks kind of load up at the line of scrimmage.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Presette turns Hans to Stevenson flying his town. Oh, Presette
- 14:37Speaker 2: has stopped short. I think he's even short of the
- 14:40Speaker 2: line of scrimmage. You might have even lost a half
- 14:42Speaker 2: of yard might have been motion. Let's see what happens
- 14:45Speaker 2: here is Perssett thinks it's against the Seahawks. Procedure caller
- 14:49Speaker 2: phillygal formation number seventy was on the end of the line,
- 14:52Speaker 2: did not report the ruling on the field is a
- 14:55Speaker 2: runner short of the line the game that penalties declined
- 14:57Speaker 2: four found.
- 15:00Speaker 3: So there it is huge stop. This gives the Seahawks
- 15:02Speaker 3: the ball back.
- 15:03Speaker 4: You know, Smith leads the offense right down the field
- 15:05Speaker 4: for the game winning field goal.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Now bump.
- 15:08Speaker 4: The cool thing about this, I guess I should say,
- 15:10Speaker 4: is you know, watching Dotson, he flew around against the Broncos,
- 15:13Speaker 4: shoots his gap, makes the play.
- 15:14Speaker 3: But what's sit out to you here?
- 15:16Speaker 4: And why were they able to after struggling to stop
- 15:18Speaker 4: the run all game come up big in this third
- 15:21Speaker 4: and one.
- 15:22Speaker 5: Every now I'm in you get juiced up and you realize, okay,
- 15:25Speaker 5: this could be the game right here, and I think
- 15:27Speaker 5: that's what we saw right here. You got Jacob, we
- 15:29Speaker 5: were said under center and with spullit backs there what
- 15:32Speaker 5: they do with one of the backs as they show
- 15:34Speaker 5: a little.
- 15:34Speaker 6: Orbit movie, not even in an orbit motion.
- 15:36Speaker 5: He just swings to the right, which is going to
- 15:38Speaker 5: pull the fenders with him and make a Linebackers have
- 15:40Speaker 5: to guess whether he's going to hand it off to
- 15:42Speaker 5: the other running back for the dive or swinge it there.
- 15:45Speaker 5: They guess correctly, are diagnosed correctly. And it's all about
- 15:48Speaker 5: the big boys up front.
- 15:49Speaker 6: Man.
- 15:49Speaker 5: The big boys get a push on that offensive line,
- 15:51Speaker 5: and push we haven't seen all game. Really, They got
- 15:54Speaker 5: that superpower stream and Dodson fills the gap and once
- 15:58Speaker 5: he feels it, he wraps up and keeps his feet moving. Drive, drive,
- 16:02Speaker 5: drive until you hear that whistle. You get that man
- 16:05Speaker 5: on the ground. Such a big play for this team.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Again that you can break down several plays. You got
- 16:10Speaker 5: this third down, you have the field goal block, you
- 16:13Speaker 5: got the heavy run boy sharbone. You can always narrow
- 16:16Speaker 5: down to five or six plays that really changed the game.
- 16:19Speaker 6: This is one of them. Give your off as an
- 16:20Speaker 6: opportunity to go ahead and winning.
- 16:22Speaker 4: Absolutely love to hear that from these guys. And the
- 16:26Speaker 4: cool thing about this is just a tip of the
- 16:28Speaker 4: iceberg for how good this team could be defensively.
- 16:30Speaker 3: You need some of these games.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Early on, I was speaking with Chris Whitehead, one of
- 16:34Speaker 4: our guys in our PR department and just talking about
- 16:36Speaker 4: how this was a game where the Seahawks maybe another
- 16:41Speaker 4: years don't win this game, but they win it because
- 16:44Speaker 4: of how the guys banded together. And it's not a
- 16:46Speaker 4: game that you know, at the end of the season
- 16:48Speaker 4: you're kicking yourself. You're like, man, we were in contention.
- 16:50Speaker 4: We could have won it. You know, last year there's
- 16:51Speaker 4: a game at Cincinnati, the Seahawks probably thought that she
- 16:53Speaker 4: would have won. There's the two Rams games, but this
- 16:55Speaker 4: is a game where it was definitely could have gone
- 16:57Speaker 4: either way.
- 16:58Speaker 3: So it's really cool to see the Seahawks pull.
- 16:59Speaker 4: That one out and get the job done, setting up
- 17:02Speaker 4: the best formation in football. That's a victory formation. As
- 17:05Speaker 4: the Seahawks get it done.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Here comes the Seahawks offense onto the field and the
- 17:11Speaker 2: Vikings defense crunching out there knowing that one meal down
- 17:17Speaker 2: and the Seahawks are gonna wind the clock down and
- 17:20Speaker 2: win this one.
- 17:21Speaker 1: It's the victory formation on Hawk Talk.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Wasn't always pretty, but the Seahawks pick up the huge
- 17:26Speaker 4: road win in Mike McDonald's road debut there beating the Patriots.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Offense struggled at times, but guys like Geno Smith, DK Metcalf,
- 17:34Speaker 4: Jackson Smith, Ejigma. They had enormous games, putting the team
- 17:37Speaker 4: on their back. Everyone did just enough to help get
- 17:39Speaker 4: this thing done. Gino Smith yet again let the Seahawks
- 17:42Speaker 4: on the game winning drive and the Seahawks had two
- 17:45Speaker 4: one hundred yard receivers and a three hundred yard passer
- 17:47Speaker 4: for the first time since December of twenty twenty two.
- 17:50Speaker 3: So things were looking real good there, Bob.
- 17:52Speaker 5: Yeah, deepa struggle, right, They gave up one hundred and
- 17:54Speaker 5: eighty five yards in the ground, but when it was
- 17:56Speaker 5: time to make a play man, they did exactly that.
- 17:59Speaker 5: So that's what it comes down through.
- 18:00Speaker 6: Sometimes.
- 18:00Speaker 5: This is football. This NFL not gonna blow everybody out.
- 18:03Speaker 5: You can't sleep on anybody. And the New England Patriots
- 18:06Speaker 5: are a better team than what people thought they were
- 18:07Speaker 5: gonna be. So now they're two and zero. They got
- 18:10Speaker 5: the Dolphins coming into town Sunday went out to it.
- 18:13Speaker 5: Here's an opportunity for you, all right, opportunity to go
- 18:16Speaker 5: three and oh and solidify yourself in this division because
- 18:20Speaker 5: it's kind of shaky right now, it's kind of shaky.
- 18:22Speaker 6: But now the Dolphins on Thursday.
- 18:26Speaker 4: Yeah, no, It's great anytime you can stack wins not
- 18:29Speaker 4: knowing how the season is gonna shake out. We know
- 18:30Speaker 4: the Niners are good football team. We're learning about the
- 18:32Speaker 4: Cardinals being a good football team. The Rams lost a
- 18:35Speaker 4: couple of games, they got blown out. That doesn't mean
- 18:36Speaker 4: they're not going to come back. So anytime you can
- 18:38Speaker 4: stack wins and say you're in first place in the
- 18:41Speaker 4: NFL is a great feeling. So Seahawks get her done
- 18:44Speaker 4: twenty three to twenty. You gets the New England Patriots
- 18:46Speaker 4: in overtime. Super happy that they got that done. Me
- 18:49Speaker 4: and bumb will be back with you on Thursday or
- 18:51Speaker 4: actually we'll see yeah, Thursday. This week breaking down the
- 18:53Speaker 4: knixt opponent, the Miami Dolphins coming to Looming Field.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Super excited looking forward to it.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Remember, we got a lot of good podcast on our network,
- 19:01Speaker 4: Insiders with Jen and John Big Raise Garage, Grind, Seahawks Stories,
- 19:05Speaker 4: The Huddle, Hawks Live and Seahawks Rewind. Seahawks win twenty
- 19:08Speaker 4: three twenty over the New England Patriots. Talk to you
- 19:09Speaker 4: guys next time.
