- 2:29I want to welcome you to another episode of The Crew Podcast. I'm
- 2:35gonna thank you guys for tuning in tonight. Tonight, what's going to be
- 2:39a panel discussion. We have some individuals that stopping by. I think I
- 2:46have one guests in the backstage, but we have We're gonna be talking about
- 2:52prison awareness. This is Prison Awareness Month. Gonna be given my guests and
- 2:59opportunities to share their perspectives and to share their thoughts because they have someone that
- 3:05is incarcerated. And what we are doing is being a platform and an outlet
- 3:10for individuals to be able to share. Of course, you guys know that
- 3:15I am an advocate for those that are wrongfully and overly inc incarcerated. Currently,
- 3:23I'm working with some individuals in the state of Texas that are currently incarcerated
- 3:30at the Commuty Unit in Kennedy, Texas. So I am definitely hands on
- 3:38with this. So often we don't realize that this is an issue because it's
- 3:45not happening directly to us. It's not happening to one of our family members
- 3:50and one of our loved ones, and then it hits us and then we
- 3:53have to deal with it. So we're gonna get a perspective from someone that
- 3:59has someone behind prison walls and what it's like. I want to thank you
- 4:03guys for tuning in. For those that do not know who I am.
- 4:06I am the visionary of the Crew podcast. Mine name is Angela Thomas Smith,

- 4:35give my guests an opportunity to introduce herself, and then y'all we're gonna jump
- 4:41in this conversation. I want you, guys to make sure if you have

- 4:59may going through and what advice, what nugget you may be able to give
- 5:03them, So please share this in your circle while I bring my guests up.
- 5:11Hello, I am Petra by Lorn. I am married to an individual
- 5:16who is incarcerated currently at Connelly Unit. He has been incarcerated for thirteen years
- 5:25and we have been married four or five and I've just I've been here for
- 5:31him and in these five years. He was before, he was at Easton
- 5:36Unit and now he's at Connelly. He's been at Conomy for the last five
- 5:41years, and it has been a everyday struggle. There's always something. Before
- 5:49when we first met, I would roar and know this and that, but
- 5:54it didn't do anything. There was no effect. Sometimes silence is key,
- 6:00you know, no answer is an answer. It it just it was they
- 6:04were it was going on unheard ears. They literally don't care and and and
- 6:12that's what they want. That that that I've realized that that's what they want
- 6:16you to do. They want you to back up, they want you to
- 6:19stop, they want to try to give you the run around. I've been
- 6:24dealing with this here lately. I'm I'm dealing with a couple of individuals and
- 6:30I wish I should have pulled up some of their clips and they're right there
- 6:34in the Comity unit with your loved one. It. I tell people all
- 6:41the time, this is a very big world, but it's very small.
- 6:45You see how they got just brought that right together. And I I I
- 6:49have a YouTube and I think I have right now maybe about a hundred videos
- 6:59and clips from individuals that are at the County Unit, you know, sharing
- 7:04about different things that's happening there, different things that they're doing, and just
- 7:11different stuff. So I I've I've been getting it from everybody, because you
- 7:16have. I've talked to someone that's been there for thirty three years and have
- 7:21been at the County Unit. I want to say the last eleven they've been
- 7:28at the County unit for the last eleven Then there's someone that's been there twenty
- 7:32five years. Yeah, someone's been there twelve years, like it, and
- 7:39like, well, you know, they tried. They they try to intimidate
- 7:44you, and I refuse to allow them to do that. I haven't had
- 7:48some issues because I also have a magazine. I'm sorry, I lived one
- 7:55hour away from the unit, And are you to actually work with with guards
- 8:01that are there? And I didn't realize it because they worked with me at
- 8:05Walmart until they had started posting that they had became CEO's there. And I
- 8:13never let them know, like hey, you know my husband is incarcerated there
- 8:18or anything, because I would pay attention to their conversations. And I've told
- 8:24my husband I said, I keep them on because if I ever need to
- 8:28go back and show people like, hey, you know what, this is
- 8:31exactly what CEOs say about inmates. Think. I mean, they make fun
- 8:35of them, They treat them like animals. I've literally seen them say I
- 8:39told some guy no today just to make him mad. Like what's the point
- 8:43of that? Like are they not human too? Do you think you'll never
- 8:48be in their possessional? Think so, they don't think so they think that
- 8:54because they are they are wards of the state, that you know, they
- 8:58belong to the state, and and and they they they don't have rights.
- 9:03You know, I just had this conversation with one of the inmates today,
- 9:09you know, I I it's it's it's sad because every Monday I have conversations
- 9:18with them. I listen to them. They you it's really sad. Yes,
- 9:30they they keep magazines, they keep they important mail, they they keep
- 9:35they they they they do all types of stuff. And then you go you
- 9:39have to go above and beyond, like I I keep a paper trail,
- 9:43because they're not just gonna get an email from me, but they're gonna get
- 9:46an email going to your regional director. You gonna get an email going to
- 9:50the executive director. You're gonna get an email going to the congress people.
- 9:54You gonna get an email going to the unbuzzed man. And you're gonna you're
- 9:58gonna have about twenty people in this email, and somebody gonna move now,
- 10:03and they're gonna do what they're supposed to do. And and see they wait
- 10:05until you get to the to the writing other letters and the running ads in
- 10:09the in the magazines, and in the newspaper and calling the news stations before
- 10:15they want to do something. But it's too late for all that they they
- 10:18have had their opportunity to do right by the people that they have been given
- 10:24charge over, you know, and it start with the top, It start
- 10:26with the government. See, it's too much corruption going on in the state
- 10:31of texts and they just they just open up a can or want run worms.
- 10:35When they allowed this man to walk free when it's quite I mean,
- 10:41a blind person can see that this man is guilty as all out those You
- 10:48got a mistress. You've been doing this, You've been doing this, money
- 10:50going this place, money going this place, and people just keep turning the
- 10:54they keep turning the left. Oh we're not doing that. We're not gonna
- 11:01keep turning the left cheek and the right cheek. No, we don't did
- 11:03all that. Those times are over and it's time for these people to do
- 11:07right by the people. They need to do what they have been elected to
- 11:15do. You got all these laws that they are not even they don't even
- 11:20some of these people shouldn't even be incarcerated. Some of these people, Yeah,
- 11:24some of them did do what they did, but you gave them too
- 11:28much time, and then you you you make it hard for them to get
- 11:33released. Why because the people that sit on the parole board, a former
- 11:39CEO's, former police officer, lawyer's DA's they they they former people that had
- 11:46the power to put them there, So of course you put them there.
- 11:50They are a number to them. They're of the dollar signs to them.
- 11:54That's how they is to them. And until we get these people out of
- 12:00office. And I'm not even in the state of Texas, That's why it's
- 12:03so crazy. I'm not even in the state of Texas. I'm not here
- 12:07on the East coast. I'm in South Carolina. But I get up in
- 12:11the morning and I call these people and I harass these people because you're gonna
- 12:16do right by the ones that I have contact with. Now I I'm in
- 12:24contact with them, so guess what I got to do right by them?
- 12:26Now, when you know better, you got to do better. And that's
- 12:31what's happening. People are realizing, Hey, these people are mistreating these people.
- 12:39They they they they slapping peanut butter on bread and and and and bolted
- 12:43bread at dad at old Bologne salami, whatever they can give these people.
- 12:50I look at these pictures that these people send me. You put soup,
- 12:54who puts a dabas soup on two? Low the bread and call that a
- 13:01sandwich and then you're throwing it to them and what they called Johnny's What is
- 13:07it? Johnny? And when do you start doing dry bys? What?
- 13:13What happened to them going in the cafeteria and sitting down and having a hot
- 13:18meal like humans? When? When? When? When did all that stop
- 13:26passionate about this? Was that that's crazy? I'm sorry. Their their excuses
- 13:35always that they're short staffed. Okay, well if you stop, okay,
- 13:41just imagine if you're treating the inmates like that. So if you're treating the
- 13:46inmates like that, you treating the like that too. I told him it
- 13:52all start with the warden. M h. Look at who you put in
- 13:56charge of these places it I'll start. If the war didn't want to clean
- 14:01up that place and want that place to be in order, and want this
- 14:05to happen, and want this to happen. It can happen because they're doing
- 14:09it and us. So you can't tell me that it cannot happen. It's
- 14:11happening in other places, and these people are being rehabilitated. They're coming home
- 14:18and they're being productive senses because they're giving the opportunity to go to school,
- 14:22they're getting the opportunity to feel good about themselves, they're getting the opportunity to
- 14:26feel like a human being. That they're giving that opportunity because somebody did something
- 14:33something wrong do not mean that they are evil people. And that's what we
- 14:37got to realize, because a lot of these people that are free and on
- 14:41the outside that are making these decisions, they're the ones that need to be
- 14:43locked up. And I'll shout it to the mountaintop. I don't care not
- 14:48scatter them, and they gonna stop. They gonna stop doing this to people
- 14:54like I stand up against them all the time. The people down there commonly,
- 14:58they know my name. They know me by first name. They they
- 15:01they were saying, they were saying miss Smith, but now they know me
- 15:05by name. They caught they Miss Angela, Miss angelin On called over there
- 15:09to the regional show, calling and custom people out there, and I ain't
- 15:11even custom out. And I told him, I said, I didn't custom
- 15:13out, I said, but I did hang up on them, so I
- 15:16don't got to cuss. But I did hang up on them because they need
- 15:22to do right by their people, like they don't know when the shoes are
- 15:26gonna turn. No, Because I got the guy that I interviewed right here
- 15:33in Cony Unit. He was a sheriff. The man worked for him and
- 15:39he said right there behind prison walla for something that he didn't even do.
- 15:43And these people wanna have double jeopardy. They want to have a whole kind
- 15:48of stuff against these people. Man, it's sad, and Texas need to
- 15:54wake up. Texas need to wake up. They need to get these people
- 15:58that are in office run Reynolds, Sheila Jackson, Lee Carlo Sherman, Monica
- 16:06Della Cruise, Ted Cruise, Jeff Lynch and Joe Moody, all of them.
- 16:15They need to be out of there if they're not gonna do what they're
- 16:17supposed to do. And people need to stop being quiet. Like I know
- 16:25as a wife, and you say, y'all only been married five years,
- 16:30So how long have y'all known? Did y'all know each other? Did you
- 16:32know him before he went to prison or did you meet him in prison?
- 16:37No? I knew him before you knew him before? Yea he went to
- 16:40prisons. Okay, So what made so that mean? Okay, he been
- 16:47in prison eleven years and y'all been married five years, So that means y'all
- 16:49got married while he was in there thirteen years. He's been there thirteen years.
- 16:56Okay, so what you say, Okay, I'm gonna marry this man,
- 17:02like this is who I want to be with, and this is what
- 17:06I'm gonna do. Well, you know, Uh, we met in two
- 17:11thousand eight, two thousand and nine. He lived in Dallas, and I'm
- 17:17originally from Houston, Texas, and so I was living in Houston in Dallas
- 17:22at the time, and we met and I ended up because I have children.
- 17:27I ended up going back to Houston to be with the father of my
- 17:30children. And I never heard from him, and I didn't know that it
- 17:33was because he had got incarcerated. And even when I knew him then and
- 17:41what I know of him now, my husband doesn't belong in there. I
- 17:45have a brother who has been in and out of jail my entire life,
- 17:48and I call him can't get right because he don't get right. But you
- 17:53know, my husband doesn't belong in there. Uh. He's he's smart,
- 18:03he's a wonderful person. He's so respectful, and it's just I can't honestly,
- 18:11I don't have a bad word to say about him, Like we don't
- 18:14argue on the phone. If we do, we get over it quickly.
- 18:18We were told once by a friend of his, because my husband's Muslim,
- 18:22he said, even on y'all's bad days, y'all are still doing bad,
- 18:23which is because we're still apart. And so we tried to keep that in
- 18:30mind whenever one of us gets upset with the other or so on. I
- 18:34have, as much as I can been his voice out here again. So
- 18:38many times it has fallen on death ears that I'm not gonna say I gave
- 18:44up, But I know now speaking with any of the wardens or any of
- 18:49that is useless about not this warden, but the warden they had before this
- 18:56last one. I was on the phone with my husband and a guard didn't
- 19:00like him, and I know she didn't like him because they were he was
- 19:04working on her crew, and she kept calling him the B word, like
- 19:08you know, like slang, saying oh you be And my husband told her,
- 19:12He's like, hey, you know, I don't talk like that,
- 19:15and I don't allow anybody to talk like that to me, And so she
- 19:18kept doing it, so he said, so I put the boxes down and
- 19:22I walked off. I told him, and let me back in my cell,
- 19:25like I told him, I wasn't gonna be on through. Well after
- 19:27that, she was really upset. So one day she came in and she
- 19:33wrote him up and said that he had clothes hanging on the line, and
- 19:36he did it. He had them hanging on his cell because he was about
- 19:38to take a shower, so he got to write up for that. And
- 19:41then shortly after that, I was on the phone and she came in and
- 19:47I know it was her because he had told me, But all I could
- 19:51hear was a woman in the background going I said, get in the f
- 19:55and cell like you are you f and death? Get in the f and
- 19:59cell like I'm not gonna say it again. And I'm like, are they
- 20:02allowed to talk to you like that? And he's like, no, they're
- 20:03not. But this is the same one that's been giving me problems. So
- 20:07I called up there and I had spoke with that warning, and I told
- 20:11that warning. I know y'all record the cause if I can hear her,
- 20:14then that recording can hear her. But you know they can say they said
- 20:18that they heard it, and they didn't hear anything. I said, well,
- 20:19you're not going to admit to me that you heard her saying that.
- 20:25You know, they're not gonna say, Oh yeah, I heard her say
- 20:26and it that's wrong. She was still there. She was still there,
- 20:30and this happened two three years ago. She was still there up until maybe
- 20:34like a few months ago. And that's only because she transferred, not because
- 20:40they fired her or she gotten inted trouble. It's it's a terrible mening.
- 20:47You know, he's been sick and they don't they haven't helped him with stuff,
- 20:52the food. I this recent lockdown, he said, you know,
- 20:56I feel really sick. And so one of the cook told him that the
- 21:00meat they were serving was ground beef and it was pork. Muslims don't eat
- 21:07pork. My husband is hasn't eaten pork in over ten years. Yeah,
- 21:11they can't serving pork. They've been they've they've been walk this and poor pork
- 21:17that. I mean, I know what they've been serving. They and then
- 21:22they I think it was the holiday Labor Day was when they were supposedly had
- 21:29beef. But then how you gonna have some pork chops too and have beef.
- 21:33I said, all that was poor m h. And that's what they
- 21:37do. It's a lot of people down there, don't. They don't.
- 21:41They don't eat, they don't even eat the food. They just eat the
- 21:45food out of commissary. But with them being on lockdown like that, they
- 21:48coudn't even get commissary like they normally get commissary. So some this is this
- 21:53is a question that a lot of people that that I talked to that have
- 22:00someone behind prison walls, they say that sometimes it makes them feel like they're
- 22:04incarcerated too, like they're going through too. So how does it make you
- 22:11feel? Do we make you feel like sometimes you feel like you were doing
- 22:15time with them? Well, you know, a Miss Angela, when I
- 22:19was younger, I have been incrustrated. And because that sticks with me so
- 22:26much. My older brother we're a year apart, and we were inseparable when
- 22:30we were younger, and even then it hurt me. But now that it's
- 22:34my husband, and you know, I can imagine on the holidays, on
- 22:41days where it's it's scorching hot outside and it's over here in Texas it's one
- 22:45hundred and ten degrees and they don't have anything that cools them off. Oh
- 22:49oh, they give us respite showers and then one day they skipped his respite
- 22:53shower because he has more than one time. So, yeah, it does.
- 23:00It affects me, and you know sometimes when he tells me, I
- 23:02tell him that just it breaks my heart and he says, you know what,
- 23:06And my husband is really good about it. He says, it's my
- 23:08fault. I put myself here. That's what he says all the time.
- 23:11That's what I get for coming to prison. That's what he'll say. But
- 23:15at the end of the day, he doesn't belong there. My husband's case,
- 23:18we've had a lawyer working on it for two years. His fault was
- 23:23that he did sell firearms, okay, and he sold drugs. So what
- 23:30happened was a guy that he had sold to rending him a car, and
- 23:36when he got pulled over in that car, they found out that it was
- 23:40jacked, and there was two people in the front and two people in the
- 23:44back, and the guy, the driver and the passenger in the front said
- 23:51no, my husband is six foot one, and so they said, no,
- 23:55it wasn't him. The guy that robbed us was much shorter, okay.
- 24:00My husband took it to trial because he was like, no, I
- 24:02might have had guns, but I didn't rob them. And so he took
- 24:07it to trial and the front driver and the passenger driver said no, it
- 24:10wasn't him, and one of the backseat drivers said no, it wasn't him.
- 24:14But just one passenger in the back said it looked like him. And
- 24:19he ended up getting thirty five years. And like I said, you know,
- 24:23he's already done what he can as far as you know, appealing it
- 24:30and everything like that. So now we have a lawyer that's just trying to
- 24:33reduce his sentence because they don't care, you know, to them, oh,
- 24:41you know, he didn't he sold drugs and guns. We put him
- 24:42away, Yeah, but you put away the wrong person, like how because
- 24:48one person said that might look like him. You were in the back the
- 24:53driver, the one that had the gun pointed at him, said no,
- 24:56the other guy was much shorter, and it didn't matter. And since my
- 25:06husband was in the adoption system, he had no one on his side.
- 25:08He had no one to say, hey, well you know what, No,
- 25:11that's not the type of person he is. He he didn't have anybody.
- 25:17Wow, And there's so many people at that same unit. When I
- 25:21tell you there's so many people at that same unit that have similar stories and
- 25:26have nobody to help them like it, it's it's sad. I really have
- 25:33been when I tell you, I have been sharing as many people's stories as
- 25:37I could. That's what I've been and doing. Like every Monday morning,
- 25:42I'm I'm live from from that unit. I forget which building it is,
- 25:48but they there's actually too There's one of the guys is like what you would
- 25:57call a a life coach. He's part of the life coaching program, Like
- 26:03he can roam around through the different units. Like when that last guy that
- 26:07committed suicide over in the unit, he they were able to go out and
- 26:12you know, talk to people and you know, stuff like that he's been
- 26:18locked up for a while. You know, the the comments and the things
- 26:23that I've been seeing from the videos that I have posted over on the Free
- 26:27Texas campaign YouTube, everybody like he don't need to be locked up, that
- 26:33that he should be free, you know, but these people don't. They're
- 26:38not trying to hear that. And instead of them trying to obey the lots
- 26:44that they have in place, because they have lost in place that would cut
- 26:48some of these people's time. But it's these people at this parole board that
- 26:55they got stuck in their mind that these people not rehabilitated because they don't believe
- 27:00in rebilitation. And it's evident that they don't because if they did, they
- 27:04would have programs in place. They would have programs in place that would be
- 27:08helping these people. They would be going to school, they would be taking
- 27:14up a trade, they would be taking up something that would help them on
- 27:18the outside. Not only that, they would make sure that these people were
- 27:22mentally and emotionally stable and able to come out and be a part of the
- 27:27community. They would be started getting them on a path to getting back into
- 27:33the community. Like you just don't just throw somebody out there. You got
- 27:37to get them prepared because guess what, you don't broke these people, especially
- 27:42these people that's been locked up over ten years, You don't broke them because
- 27:47guess what, the first five years, they probably was fighting for their life.
- 27:51They was probably fighting just to survive. These are some of the stories
- 27:56that I hear. These are some of the stories that we share at the
- 28:00Free Texas campaign. Over on the YouTube, you can listen to some of
- 28:04these people's story. None of the guy he he he said he was a
- 28:10little short guy. He well, he is a little short guy. And
- 28:12he said every day he was fighting. And he said he fought every day.
- 28:17He said, because he wasn't Finn to let nobody take advantage of him.
- 28:21He didn't have nobody fighting. He said, he wouldn't fint to make
- 28:22no excuses, he said. He he told his story, he did what
- 28:26he did, and he said, I'm gonna do it, he said,
- 28:29And I'm doing my time, he say, And yes, I'm sorry,
- 28:30he said. You know what, it didn't hit me. And I was
- 28:33in the courtroom when I heard that little baby, that four year old child,
- 28:40he said, that's when they hit me, he said. But I'm
- 28:41doing better, he said, And I'm making the best of what I can,
- 28:45he said. But it's sad how they do people. You know,
- 28:51people that they ain't even concerned about themselves. Some of these people not concerned
- 28:55about themselves, They worried about other people too. That's man, that's a
- 28:59that's a cause signing about other people being free and other people getting back to
- 29:03their families. So a lot of them, there's a lot of stories that
- 29:07I've been sharing. I don't know what what what area your your husband's in
- 29:15uh D three. I want to say he's in three buildings three stay that's
- 29:26possible. I don't I want to set three or four building because he I
- 29:30know, probably during summer time he had moved. So I'm not real positive
- 29:37on that either, because I know over there where a lot of the ones
- 29:45that I talked today in a place that have it has what they called cubicles.
- 29:52It's not like a dorm. It's like, oh, he's not in
- 29:57the dorm, he's where there's there. They're they're each cells and they have
- 30:04like they got sales up on on the on the top floor and around the
- 30:10walls, and then they got some kind of like makeshift cubicles set up in
- 30:15the middle something or something. Because these people they're not in those they not
- 30:22in tho some of them you have to ask if next time you talk to
- 30:26them, because that's how it was explained to me. It's like, you
- 30:30know how, you know how we got those dividers when we go into like
- 30:33those different offices and they have those dividers that it's set up like that.
- 30:38I think that's what from what they describe to me, that's how it's set
- 30:42up. So everybody got their own little They don't have to share nothing with
- 30:47nobody. They got their own little what's her name? No, like in
- 30:52those those cubicles what they call cubicles. Oh wow, they they don't have
- 31:00to share with nobody. Yeah, got doors. They ain't got no doors.
- 31:06People can just walk in your people can just walk in your thing from
- 31:11whatever. It's just it's just like a divider. They just got the dividers
- 31:15that separate everything. But yeah, I tell you, I truly have enjoyed
- 31:21talking to you tonight. Yes, just having conversation, you know, you
- 31:26just it's it's just having real conversation so people can see. It's not about
- 31:32nothing professional, it's not about no, no, nothing. You know,
- 31:34this is real stuff. This is really what's happening. And we need to
- 31:40let people see really what's going on. And they need to see us as
- 31:44true as we can be, you know, so they can understand that this
- 31:47is real, this is what's happening. This is not nothing that you seeing
- 31:51on TV. This is really what's happening in my life. So I definitely
- 31:55want to invite you back. I'm definitely gonna be looking out to I know
- 32:01one of the young ladies she actually started a new job on tonight. One
- 32:06of the young ladies that was in the chat, she actually started a new
- 32:08job working with some youth. I think she's in the state of Georgia,
- 32:12but she started a new job tonight. But she really wanted to be here.
- 32:16I think she said if she could, she was gonna be watching us.
- 32:19So she's watching out there. I definitely want to extend the irritation to
- 32:24her. And of course we will be back on here because every fourth Monday
- 32:30of the month, I am going to be hosting a show and allowing individuals
- 32:37that want to come on, and that's anybody if you know otherwives or girlfriends
- 32:42that they want to come on and share. I mean, if they just
- 32:45want to talk about their their story, any any situation that's going on,
- 32:50anything that you know, we can come together. And you know, when
- 32:52we come together and a lot of us speak up, that's when people start
- 32:57realizing that, hey, yeah, there's a problem, and and sometimes we
- 33:00can't be quiet. And if every everybody's speaking the same thing, then it's
- 33:06gotta be some truth behind it and you got to investigate it. And then
- 33:09that's what I'm gonna keep yelling until I'm blue in the face, because just
- 33:14like these people are. Every day I see somebody saying they make coming home,
- 33:20then everybody that I talked to, they coming home because I keep telling
- 33:22them they coming home because they've been wrongfully and over the incarcerated and them,
- 33:27them gates are gonna swing up. Them gates are going to swing open,
- 33:30and they are gonna walk through them. I'm telling you, they're gonna swing
- 33:35open. But until they do, we're gonna keep on being that voice because
- 33:38they need us. They need us, and they don't need us to be
- 33:42quiet. And that's what that's what these people are banking on us to be
- 33:45quiet. Because if that's what if I hadn't open my mouth for mister Drummond
- 33:50today, no, two days ago, on Monday, if I hadn't open
- 33:53my mouth for him, these people would have been still sitting around holding on
- 33:59to his money and not releasing his money when his money is supposed to be
- 34:01sitting over there in the US District court. Because he got two appeals up
- 34:05there, he got two court cases in the US District Court where he's suing
- 34:09them people, He's suwing man, he's suing the State of Texas. The
- 34:15man, it's so many people involved in it, and what's gonna happen.
- 34:17It's gonna open up a whole bunch of other cases. But people for the
- 34:22people acting like this ain't happen. But it was investigated, it was on
- 34:25the news, but then y'all brushed it under the rug like it didn't happen.
- 34:30But guess what, it's coming back up, and I got all the
- 34:31paperwork. You can't stop me. You can't shut me up because guess what,
- 34:35I'm not in the state of Texas, not in the state Texas,
- 34:37so I'm not under your your your leadership. I'm not under your your your
- 34:43rules. I'm not under your regulations, so you can't shut me up.
- 34:46The terrible laws all that tas. This ain't part of the US Constitution and
- 34:52Texas ain't a part of this, and they don't have to buy Well,
- 34:55guess what everything that y'all doing, y'all need to show me in If you
- 35:00can't show me in writing, then that's not the policy because the policy isn't
- 35:05writing. And guess what when they was holding on to them people mail,
- 35:07guess what they had to they had to come up. I'll stay mail.
- 35:10They was trying to keep my magazine from getting in the prison. They were
- 35:15trying to keep my magazine from getting in the prison. My magazine been going
- 35:20in that prison since last year in November, and for the last two July
- 35:24issue, June issue, and then here it come again. They tried to
- 35:30keep my magazine from going and then the awarden warden David's gonna try to send
- 35:35it over to DRC and try to get it investigated. But guess what,
- 35:37I'm already up what you've been doing. I already got a paper trail.
- 35:43Huh is it? They're aspiring Arthur's Max. I didn't hear you the aspiring
- 35:49Arthurs about you. I am actually typing it up in my computer now.
- 35:59My husband been has wrote a book. Okay, so he what's your husban's
- 36:06name? See his name is Gabriel Bylon. Okay, I have to ask
- 36:15mister Drummond, do we know him? His name is Gabriel? Okay,
- 36:23yeah, it's a yeah. I've been typing it for a while now.
- 36:31But I told him, I said, I can, I can, I
- 36:34can? I can? What do you call that? When they I can
- 36:39put it on Amazon for free, you know? And he's like, well,
- 36:43why is it taking you so long to type it? I said,
- 36:46I haven't typed in a really long time. It takes me a long time,
- 36:52right right, right, yeah, to publish it. Yeah that's what.
- 37:01Well, yeah, they tried to keep my magazine from coming in there.
- 37:04They send it out to DRC, try to say all kind of stuff
- 37:07about it. But truth, we share a lot of these people's story.
- 37:10We share a different perspective. I mean, we share whatever. If it's
- 37:15the truth, I'm sharing it. I don't care who don't want to hear
- 37:20it. It's being shared because guess what, you got a lot of these
- 37:22people that's locked up that need to be free. Yes, no, yeah,
- 37:27some of these people did do what they're supposed to do, but they
- 37:28don't serve their time. Their time is over with. How you gonna keep
- 37:31somebody locked up for thirty three years for something they you didn't even investigate.
- 37:36Mister Drummond got eight hundred million dollar lawsuit and they fifty five million dollar lawsuits
- 37:40against these people. He had three hundred dollars for one lawsuits supposed to have
- 37:45been sent out in three hundred dollars for another lawsuits supposed to sent been sent
- 37:49out. These people did not send it out. Yeah, I want everybody
- 37:52to know what they did. I won't ever single person that listening to know
- 37:55what these people did. They helped on to that man stuff. He requested
- 38:00for two thousand dollars to be sent to his brother. Okay, fine,
- 38:02They wanted to investigate why he's sent in two thousand dollars. Okay, this
- 38:06his brother. His brother asked for it. You need to connect his brother
- 38:08and asked his brother why he needs two thousand dollars. Don't be asking him.
- 38:12This man is locked up, just like how is they getting the drugs
- 38:15in? This whole lockdown was brought on because those people got caught with the
- 38:22drugs. Somebody was circling the parking lot. They called the outside police.
- 38:27The outside police came, they pulled the car over. The car had cell
- 38:31phones, cigarettes and drugs, all kind of stuff in. So then they
- 38:38arrested all the people that was on the outside, all the what they called
- 38:43them people what they called him, not just the trustees, but the c
- 38:50yet, the no, not the CEOs, the people that the prisoners that
- 38:55think they CEOs. That's what they did. I trust that it's a whole
- 39:01bunch of them, it's one over there in that unit that be over there,
- 39:04man, he'd be locking the door so they can't get on the phones,
- 39:07because you know on Mondays that's when I usually do my calls on Mondays.
- 39:12There's another unit. I don't know what unit. I forget what unit
- 39:15is, what pod that is that they called from? But do you know,
- 39:19uh, have you ever heard of a guy named ah Y'alla? Have
- 39:23you ever heard your husband talking about a guy named ah Y'allah? I think
- 39:28so? And if you heard your husband talking about a guy named Cornell Drummer,
- 39:36they call him drum stick Cornell. Yes, well Carnell is that it
- 39:44is who I beat. I talked to Cornell's every single day. Okay,
- 39:50yeah, I can't now I talked to him. I talked to a Y'alla.
- 39:54I talked to Drew Mack. Matter of fact, Drew Mack. It's
- 40:00and one of my poetry books, the one that's called Cries from Within My
- 40:06Soul. It's a poetry book. It's a white with red writing. It's
- 40:09a picture of a I own it. Drew Mack put four poems in it,
- 40:15and I have a whole stack of poems that this guy has written Drew
- 40:20Mack teaches karate. He teaches a lot of the guys they're karate. He's
- 40:23a Muslim too, so your husband definitely might know him, yes, because
- 40:29he's a Muslim too. Yes, And he teaches karate, he teaches yoga.
- 40:34He took when I tell you, this is a small world. This
- 40:37is a small world, and it is not by coincident everything. You know
- 40:39when I tell people it is not by accident that God breathed. My daughter
- 40:45asked my husband, you know, uh, she said what she because he
- 40:50has he always says, I studied all religions. And she said, if
- 40:53you studied all religions, why did you pick Muslim? And he says,
- 40:58well, you know, it was the most discipline and when it comes to
- 41:02following God and how they believe in things. But he has shared a lot
- 41:07of names, and I know I've heard Cornell and I've heard Drew. I've
- 41:12heard of them. So I'm pretty sure they know who my husband is.
- 41:16Then I'm sure they probably talk. They definitely probably have been talking about me.
- 41:22They called me the Queen. I think if they called me to talk
- 41:27with my husband, you'd have a wonderful conversation. You'd enjoy it. You
- 41:32should tell him to to tell Cornell to get him on Monday. TI to
- 41:38get him on a Monday Monday, because we didn't do it this past Monday,
- 41:43but we'll probably be back on Monday because we had a lot of stuff
- 41:46going on. See I'm here in Atlanta, I'm not home. We well,
- 41:54we do it through the phone because I do it on blog talk radio
- 42:00extream through block talk Radio. But I go live like I am live now,
- 42:04see right now, we're live on Facebook, then in YouTube, and
- 42:08then once we get out out, I'll download it and then I'll make little
- 42:15little clips, like I'll make little reels, so it'll it'll float around on
- 42:19Facebook, and then I'll make some little audios. It'll go over to speaker
- 42:25dot com. Speaker dot com it's an audio platform, so it'll be just
- 42:29stripped to like our Heart radio, different little places like it may even it
- 42:35may even come up on Alexa. Cause like, I got a book that's
- 42:38coming out on September, I mean October the first. It's gonna release on
- 42:42October the first. So today I come up on my email. The last
- 42:46book that came out, my niece said it made an announcement on Alexa that
- 42:50I had a book coming out. Well, okay, yeah, she said,
- 42:57I know it was on Alexa. I'd say, wow, I didn't
- 43:01even know that, but yeah. It sent me an email today telling me
- 43:07that I got a book coming out on October the first. So everybody go
- 43:10and grab go download your e copy of my Domestic Violence. It's a thirty
- 43:16one day devotional and it's just something that will encourage you, even if you
- 43:20may not be going through domestic violence. It's just something that will lift you
- 43:23up and encourage you to come out of that space that you are because so
- 43:28often we get stuck and complace it in a place where we are, We
- 43:32get comfortable in that place, and sometimes we gotta step outside that box.
- 43:37So I have two amazing individuals. We all three overcame domestic violence. You're
- 43:44looking at someone that was shot point bunk ranch with a solid out shotgun.
- 43:47I shouldn't even be here, by my whole right side of my body should
- 43:51have been blown off. I shouldn't be here, but I'm here. And
- 43:54it was only by the grace in the mercy of God that I'm able to
- 43:58do what I'm doing. And this and to me in twenty fourteen. God
- 44:02spared my life next year to be ten years and he spared my life.
- 44:07He gave me a second chance. He gave me a third chance, he
- 44:10gave me a fourth chance. So guess what. I can't sit down on
- 44:14him and I can't sit down on his goodness because he's been too good to
- 44:17me. You know, he's been truly good to me to be able to
- 44:21allow me this opportunity to do stuff that I'm doing, to even be able
