- 0:26Speaker 1: Welcome to your Thursday. It is October 22nd, 2026. In
- 0:31Speaker 1: case you forgot what year it was. Yeah. Because the
- 0:33Speaker 1: other day I did. It's Mix 102.9. Ability Kid, Candace
- 0:36Speaker 1: Lopez is here. Producer Poo is here. What's up, Candace?
- 0:39Speaker 4: Y'all, yesterday I saw Christmas decorations out and about in
- 0:43Speaker 4: the 80 degree weather in front of a store. And
- 0:46Speaker 4: I know it's a store that like sells holiday stuff
- 0:49Speaker 4: and Christmas trees and all those like home good thingies.
- 0:52Speaker 4: But do we need that outside?
- 0:54Speaker 1: Well, yeah, we do. I think I already see people
- 0:57Speaker 1: online putting their trees up like.
- 0:59Speaker 4: You've been joking about this here and there. But I
- 1:01Speaker 4: literally walked up to like a 12 foot tall. What
- 1:03Speaker 4: are those toy soldier nutcracker things?
- 1:07Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Giant.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Wait, I think I know what story you're talking about.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Which one?
- 1:11Speaker 1: Too rich for me to shop at? Yes. Front gate.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Front gate. Yes, exactly. I was just walking by it
- 1:16Speaker 4: to go somewhere else.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I know exactly where you were at. I saw that
- 1:20Speaker 1: thing outside. I'm like, I don't even want to know
- 1:21Speaker 1: the price of that.
- 1:22Speaker 4: There's two of them.
- 1:23Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Oh, I didn't even think about them being for sale.
- 1:25Speaker 4: They are for sale, huh?
- 1:26Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:26Speaker 1: They're for sale.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Well, Kelly Clarkson, come get your nutcracker because... She's probably
- 1:31Speaker 4: the only one that can afford that thing.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Seriously. Yeah, but no, I saw people online putting up
- 1:35Speaker 1: their decorations and one girl put her tree up and
- 1:38Speaker 1: she put fight me. Fight me over it.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Look, inside your house, totally fine. Do whatever you want
- 1:43Speaker 4: to do. But these guys were outside. There were trees.
- 1:45Speaker 4: There were decorations. They didn't have the music playing just yet,
- 1:48Speaker 4: but I posted a story and then so many people
- 1:50Speaker 4: DM me. No, too soon. No, stop it.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I don't mind.
- 1:52Speaker 4: And I agree.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I don't know. Galleria's got their Christmas lights up.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Well, that's because it takes them so long to put
- 1:57Speaker 4: all those red lights and all those trees. So that's fine.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Two places on the way to work, when I come
- 2:02Speaker 1: to work, right off the tollway, they have their lights up.
- 2:05Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I mean, it's Christmas. Happy holidays.
- 2:07Speaker 7: It's not.
- 2:07Speaker 4: It's Halloween. We're not even Halloween. The time hasn't even changed.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I don't care about Halloween or Thanksgiving.
- 2:11Speaker 4: At least wait for the time change.
- 2:12Speaker 1: You were shopping yesterday? You didn't even invite us?
- 2:14Speaker 4: No, I just went to pick up some food nearby.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Yeah.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I just needed some healthy food.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I won't even walk in front gate.
- 2:20Speaker 4: No, I've never been in there.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Then don't.
- 2:22Speaker 4: For sure.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Don't do it. One time I was looking at patio
- 2:24Speaker 1: furniture and I'm like, oh, this is a lovely set, blah, blah, blah.
- 2:27Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, cool. Yeah, it is beautiful.
- 2:29Speaker 1: They're like, yeah. And it's on... It's on sale right
- 2:31Speaker 1: now for $ 10, 000. I was like, $ 10, 000? Where is this
- 2:34Speaker 1: place at? Because I know.
- 2:38Speaker 4: It's like Preston somewhere.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I've never even heard of it.
- 2:40Speaker 4: I was just going to Flower Child, so I don't
- 2:42Speaker 4: know anything about it.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Exactly. Trust me, that's what I'm doing. I'm walking by it.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Producer Pooh is here. What's up, Pooh? I went shopping yesterday.
- 2:50Speaker 1: You ever heard of Natural Grocers?
- 2:52Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I always see it, but I decided to go in
- 2:55Speaker 1: there because I was trying to kill time.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I've never been in there. It looks like my
- 2:57Speaker 4: kind of spot.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Yeah, before my son's football game, I went in there.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Who are you?
- 3:01Speaker 4: Wow.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Man, they're so helpful. What is it? It's a health
- 3:05Speaker 1: food store.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Really? Yeah.
- 3:08Speaker 4: Natural groceries.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Yeah, natural groceries. I went in there. This gentleman. Y'all
- 3:12Speaker 1: got any natural Sour Patch Kids? No. You know what?
- 3:16Speaker 1: Funny you say that.
- 3:17Speaker 4: They probably do.
- 3:18Speaker 1: They do.
- 3:19Speaker 9: They have Sour Patch Kids, but they're all healthy. Like,
- 3:22Speaker 9: no dyes, no artificial stuff.
- 3:24Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:24Speaker 1: They're not healthy.
- 3:26Speaker 6: Yeah, for real.
- 3:27Speaker 1: And he gave me some samples. George, help me out.
- 3:30Speaker 1: He gave me some samples.
- 3:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Of some brownies. And I was like, man.
- 3:34Speaker 9: I said, are you sure these are healthy? And he goes,
- 3:36Speaker 9: young man, they're healthy, but you can't eat the whole bag.
- 3:39Speaker 9: I mean, they're that good.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:40Speaker 1: But they had like some other kind of sugar in there.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Who are you guys? Yeah, and then I got me
- 3:44Speaker 1: like some.
- 3:45Speaker 4: This is normal for me.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I love natural grocery stores.
- 3:48Speaker 9: I got some vitamins with some ashwagandha and melatonin.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Some what? Ashwagandha? Yeah, there we go.
- 3:53Speaker 4: Good for you.
- 3:54Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 3:55Speaker 1: What do you call it? Ashwagandha?
- 3:57Speaker 4: Ashwagandha?
- 3:58Speaker 1: Ashwagandha? Yeah. Yeah. There's some detox pads, dog. Who's ashy
- 4:03Speaker 1: with Gwanda?
- 4:04Speaker 4: Detox pads.
- 4:04Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 4:05Speaker 9: He said you could put these detox pads on your
- 4:07Speaker 9: feet so you, you know, get all the.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Toxins out of you. This is midlife, guys. Start reevaluating
- 4:11Speaker 4: your health and your intake.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Yeah. Supplements, vitamins, everything, dog. This is coming from the
- 4:17Speaker 1: guy who literally his only cure for everything back in
- 4:20Speaker 1: the day was just to eat Vicks. Vapora.
- 4:22Speaker 8: Vicks.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Right. Vixen 7-Up. Yeah, I know.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Ask George about that at Natural Grocery.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Get back to your roots.
- 4:29Speaker 9: No, he gave me a probiotic soda pop if I
- 4:32Speaker 9: need one.
- 4:33Speaker 1: He gave me all this stuff. I was like, wow,
- 4:34Speaker 1: I don't need that, but okay, cool. Are you wearing
- 4:36Speaker 1: yoga pants too? Hey, don't hate.
- 4:39Speaker 9: Lululemon coming soon.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 4:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:43Speaker 1: What else do you got? Are you wearing some kind
- 4:45Speaker 1: of Petruli, too? No, no, I didn't go that far, no.
- 4:48Speaker 7: You didn't?
- 4:49Speaker 4: Essential oils?
- 4:50Speaker 1: Yeah, but they do have those in there if you need. Oh,
- 4:52Speaker 1: I'm sure they do. All natural deodorant. Yeah, they even
- 4:55Speaker 1: got healthy candles.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, non-toxic.
- 4:58Speaker 1: What do you mean healthy candles?
- 5:00Speaker 4: Well, like beeswax candles or soy.
- 5:02Speaker 1: We're not eating them.
- 5:03Speaker 4: No, but they put off stuff into the air when
- 5:05Speaker 4: you're burning them.
- 5:06Speaker 1: I know, awesome scents.
- 5:08Speaker 4: Well, yeah, there's a reason it smells good.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Oh, now we can't have stuff that smells good?
- 5:13Speaker 9: No.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Candace, this place is a prison.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Trust me.
- 5:17Speaker 1: What candles? I found out all that yesterday. I was like,
- 5:21Speaker 1: for real?
- 5:21Speaker 9: Why do you have these candles? Because I usually get
- 5:23Speaker 9: the Yankee candles from.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Bath and Body Works.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Yeah, Yankee candles.
- 5:29Speaker 4: That's my stuff.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I'm still getting them. I don't care. That's your choice.
- 5:34Speaker 4: It's fine. Yeah, do it.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Why am I going to die? What's in there? What
- 5:37Speaker 1: kind of toxic stuff is in there?
- 5:39Speaker 4: It's off gas. It's taking out stuff into your environment
- 5:42Speaker 4: that you're breathing in.
- 5:43Speaker 1: You got to worry about the black smoke. It's letting
- 5:45Speaker 1: out gas?
- 5:46Speaker 4: It's letting out toxins in the air.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Well, so is poo, but we can't get rid of him.
- 5:51Speaker 7: The new Mix 102.9.
- 5:53Speaker 6: It's Texas top stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 5:56Speaker 6: Kid in the morning.
- 5:57Speaker 8: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 6:00Speaker 1: One and only Candace Lopez. What is going on?
- 6:02Speaker 4: Well, let's talk about Airbnb. They're making big changes as
- 6:05Speaker 4: of November 20th. Hosts won't be requiring you to do
- 6:09Speaker 4: chores when you check out. This is such a good thing.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Wait, what do you mean?
- 6:13Speaker 4: Well, so according to the new guidelines, the hosts of
- 6:15Speaker 4: these Airbnbs can't ask you to do tasks that require
- 6:19Speaker 4: a significant effort. or time that would typically be done
- 6:23Speaker 4: by a cleaner. So things like washing dishes, doing laundry,
- 6:26Speaker 4: taking the trash out to another location, stripping the sheets
- 6:29Speaker 4: on the bed. That's a thing.
- 6:31Speaker 1: They can't ask you to wash the dishes?
- 6:33Speaker 4: They can't ask you anymore because before you would stay
- 6:36Speaker 4: in an Airbnb and they would say you need to
- 6:37Speaker 4: do this and this before you check out.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I just did.
- 6:39Speaker 4: And it was a whole thing.
- 6:40Speaker 1: I did in Austin. Did you have to do dishes? Yes,
- 6:43Speaker 1: I did dishes. I did feel like I had a
- 6:45Speaker 1: part-time job.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Right, yeah.
- 6:46Speaker 7: It was a lot.
- 6:47Speaker 4: I wouldn't do that if I'm staying at a friend's house.
- 6:50Speaker 4: You know what I mean? I wouldn't do it. They
- 6:51Speaker 4: would be like, it's cool. I got the dishes or
- 6:53Speaker 4: just strip the bed. I'll do the laundry. I'm not
- 6:55Speaker 4: going to take your trash out, you know.
- 6:57Speaker 1: But that's pretty much if I'm staying at somebody's house,
- 6:59Speaker 1: for example, I always do that.
- 7:01Speaker 4: Well, I definitely strip the bed for them so they
- 7:03Speaker 4: don't have to take my dirty towels to wherever they
- 7:05Speaker 4: want them.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Oh, you strip the bed? See, I make the bed. Oh, yeah.
- 7:09Speaker 4: No, I strip. Well, I ask them.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Yeah, if they want me to strip the bed, I'll
- 7:12Speaker 4: strip the bed so they don't have to touch the
- 7:14Speaker 4: sheets and do all the things.
- 7:15Speaker 1: But all this place in Austin asked was to just
- 7:17Speaker 1: do the dishes and to take out the trash and
- 7:20Speaker 1: to make sure the trash is bagged up completely and
- 7:23Speaker 1: don't put it in there. You know, just loose, like
- 7:26Speaker 1: loose trash. They did have a lot of rules, actually.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Yeah, no, sometimes it's a whole thing. Like the last
- 7:31Speaker 4: one we stayed at, I mean, we had like, I
- 7:33Speaker 4: don't know, two families in this house. And so there
- 7:34Speaker 4: were so many dishes and like it was just really annoying.
- 7:37Speaker 4: It's like we should have just stayed at a hotel.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. I just feel like with Airbnbs, the
- 7:41Speaker 1: owner is going to pop out or stop by. Because
- 7:43Speaker 1: I saw this one video where the owner was staying
- 7:45Speaker 1: in a room next to the Airbnb with a secret door.
- 7:50Speaker 1: And he thought the people left that were staying there.
- 7:52Speaker 1: And all of a sudden he opened the door, but
- 7:53Speaker 1: they were in the living room.
- 7:54Speaker 8: No.
- 7:55Speaker 1: And they were like, hey, who are you? And he's like, oh, sorry,
- 7:58Speaker 1: I own this house. And they're like, you're here?
- 8:01Speaker 4: Right.
- 8:02Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, I just stay in the room over
- 8:04Speaker 1: here when other people are staying here. I was just
- 8:06Speaker 1: going to go take a quick shower.
- 8:08Speaker 4: That's weird. No, I'm out of there.
- 8:10Speaker 1: And he had no pants on.
- 8:11Speaker 4: No.
- 8:13Speaker 1: He had on undies.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Well, that's good.
- 8:15Speaker 1: His chonies.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, they'll be able to ask you, like,
- 8:17Speaker 4: just put the dishes in the sink, you know, collect
- 8:20Speaker 4: the dirty towels, small things like that.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:22Speaker 4: So, yeah, this is a big change.
- 8:23Speaker 8: Cool.
- 8:24Speaker 4: Guys, this new survey says half of Americans come back
- 8:27Speaker 4: from vacation feeling completely drained, like they need another vacation.
- 8:31Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Is this supposed to surprise anyone?
- 8:34Speaker 1: Yeah, we all know that because Americans don't get enough vacation.
- 8:37Speaker 8: Right.
- 8:37Speaker 4: No, 100%. I guess they surveyed 2,000 Americans and 51%
- 8:42Speaker 4: say they return from these fun trips and just are
- 8:44Speaker 4: completely done.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Oh, I realized that during the World Cup when I
- 8:47Speaker 1: would meet people from Europe that were here and they're like,
- 8:50Speaker 1: I'm like, how do you have this much time off?
- 8:51Speaker 1: They're like, oh, we all get a month off.
- 8:53Speaker 6: Right.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I'm like, what? Yeah, we get a month off in
- 8:56Speaker 1: the summer. Then we get a month off in the winter.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Yeah, it makes sense.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Then we get a mental health vacation. Right.
- 9:02Speaker 4: I mean, how much of our lives, percentage-wise, is actually
- 9:05Speaker 4: spent vacationing or adventuring or doing anything relaxing? We've got
- 9:09Speaker 4: to make time for it.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Thankfully, we've got a job that we love.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure. It's exhausting, but we love it.
- 9:16Speaker 1: People need vacation.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Yeah, 100%. Real quick, guys, I got an update on
- 9:20Speaker 4: Val Shmerkovsky's Dancing with the Stars suspension. I guess he
- 9:24Speaker 4: was seen going back to the rehearsal studio after his
- 9:27Speaker 4: one week suspension. And if you missed it, he was
- 9:30Speaker 4: suspended after, you know, he and Jenna Dewan got some
- 9:32Speaker 4: harsh criticism from Carrie Ann Inaba. Then he posted something
- 9:35Speaker 4: online referring to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock on the Oscars.
- 9:40Speaker 4: She did well without him this week. But people are
- 9:43Speaker 4: excited that he's going to be back on the show.
- 9:44Speaker 4: So there's your update. There you go.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Did you ever get suspended in school, Candace?
- 9:48Speaker 8: No.
- 9:48Speaker 3: No.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Why'd I ask that?
- 9:50Speaker 4: No. I mean, I got in trouble for talking. That
- 9:51Speaker 4: was about it.
- 9:52Speaker 1: For talking? That's it? I just posted something about that
- 9:56Speaker 1: online on my Instagram because literally every report card of
- 10:01Speaker 1: mine always said, talks too much. Talks too much in class.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Me too.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Well, look at us now.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I was the kid that had the desk in the hallway.
- 10:11Speaker 1: They put my desk right next to the teacher.
- 10:14Speaker 9: She'd always be like, I'm going to put you right
- 10:16Speaker 9: up here so you won't talk.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I was like, say less. Now I can look out
- 10:20Speaker 1: at my audience. I would still talk. And then they'd
- 10:23Speaker 1: put me on the hallway and I'd talk to the
- 10:25Speaker 1: hall monitor. I'd find a way. I'd find a way.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I know Pooh got suspended. Oh, yeah.
- 10:33Speaker 9: What did you get suspended for? It just depends. Being late, tardy,
- 10:37Speaker 9: sometimes tardy. I remember I got in trouble for playing
- 10:42Speaker 9: football in class.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 10:44Speaker 1: The little paper footballs. Yeah. Man, I feel like a
- 10:47Speaker 1: really bad kid now. Right. I got suspended for stink bombs. Yeah,
- 10:51Speaker 1: stink bombs. Yeah, I didn't go that far.
- 10:52Speaker 9: Fighting.
- 10:53Speaker 5: Oh.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Throwing a tennis ball at Mr. Mark with his head. Oh, Billy.
- 10:58Speaker 9: Okay.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Yeah. Don't do this, kids.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Exactly, exactly. I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your Texas Top Stories.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Tickets to go see Carly Rae Jepsen right now.
- 11:06Speaker 7: Who's this?
- 11:06Speaker 1: It's Travis. What's up, Travis? How are you today? Doing good.
- 11:10Speaker 2: How are y'all?
- 11:11Speaker 1: I'm good, man. Guess what? You're calling number one. Congratulations, Travis.
- 11:15Speaker 7: Awesome.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Heck yeah.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I'm talking about, Travis. Where are you from?
- 11:18Speaker 3: Waxahachie.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Oh, cool. You know what? I'm glad you called because
- 11:22Speaker 1: I had seen something online, and it was someone from Waxahachie,
- 11:27Speaker 1: and they were arguing about how to say Waxahachie. And
- 11:30Speaker 1: this person from Waxahachie was calling it Waxahachie, which I
- 11:34Speaker 1: always thought was a big no-no. Yeah. And that's what
- 11:36Speaker 1: she was saying, though.
- 11:37Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 11:38Speaker 1: It's Waxahachie.
- 11:39Speaker 3: There ain't no wax there.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 11:41Speaker 8: Yes.
- 11:42Speaker 4: That's how you know you're not from Waxahachie.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Right, but she was from there. She lived there. I
- 11:46Speaker 1: don't know. And she worked at a restaurant there. I
- 11:47Speaker 1: didn't know if she was rage baiting or what. But
- 11:49Speaker 1: I was like, this can't be real. Like, everybody knows
- 11:52Speaker 1: if you're from around here, it's Waxahachie.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Unless you're joking around. You're like, Waxahachie.
- 11:57Speaker 8: Right.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Right.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 11:59Speaker 8: Exactly.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Okay, Travis. Well, we believe you. So thank you for
- 12:02Speaker 1: settling that debate. We're going to hook you up with

- 13:59Speaker 1: to tell me which one do you think is the
- 14:01Speaker 1: fake story? This is how it goes.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Boo.
- 14:04Speaker 1: You can't pick first. Candace can pick first. Of course.

- 14:48Speaker 9: me in for that last story. Driving off and leaving
- 14:51Speaker 9: the home, he's still shoplifting.
- 14:53Speaker 7: Okay.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Let's lock that in. It is officially locked in. And
- 14:57Speaker 1: the winner today is.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Candice Lopax! She goes first, she wins. All right, which
- 15:12Speaker 1: one do you want first, the real stories? The fake
- 15:14Speaker 1: story was Florida couple goes viral for attempting to pay
- 15:16Speaker 1: property taxes with 400 pounds of pennies.
- 15:18Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I thought of that just because I wanted to be petty.
- 15:21Speaker 8: Right.
- 15:21Speaker 1: And I was like, I'd love to send pennies to
- 15:23Speaker 1: my HOA. You know what I mean? Just like, forget them.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I just can't stand these people.
- 15:28Speaker 7: Right.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I just want to send them.
- 15:30Speaker 4: Can't stand pennies either.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I hate pennies too.
- 15:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I do too.
- 15:33Speaker 1: You vacuum them up.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Oh yeah, just whatever.
- 15:35Speaker 1: You're so rich.
- 15:36Speaker 7: I know.
- 15:36Speaker 1: You just suck them up.
- 15:37Speaker 4: I find so many pennies on the carpet. I mean, obviously.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Obviously. She sucks them up. Go to Candace's house. You're
- 15:44Speaker 1: going to see spiders and pennies in the back. She
- 15:46Speaker 1: won't kill them. She vacuums them up. That's right. All right.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Which one do you want to hear first, the flight
- 15:51Speaker 1: in Japan with the snake or the getaway driver?
- 15:53Speaker 4: Yeah, that one, the flight.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Okay, the snake one. Now, this is, see, I'm not
- 15:58Speaker 1: a big fan of snakes. I don't think I would
- 16:00Speaker 1: freak out.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I would.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Actually, yeah, I would, because here's what happened. Everybody's on
- 16:06Speaker 1: this flight, and they're getting ready to take off, right? They're, like,
- 16:08Speaker 1: taxiing on the runway. We're about to leave Japan. Everything's good.
- 16:12Speaker 1: All of a sudden, a passenger screams. Like, what's going on?
- 16:17Speaker 1: I swear I just felt something move under my feet.
- 16:20Speaker 1: What do you mean something moved under your feet? There's
- 16:23Speaker 1: a snake or something slithering around under the carpet. Under
- 16:28Speaker 1: the carpet. How do you get under the carpet? So
- 16:30Speaker 1: they're like, okay, whatever. And then they see it slithering.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Can you imagine if you're looking down and you see
- 16:36Speaker 1: something moving under the carpet on the airplane? Thank God
- 16:40Speaker 1: they weren't in the area. They were just about to
- 16:42Speaker 1: take off. Well, I haven't seen the movie Snakes on
- 16:45Speaker 1: a Plane.
- 16:45Speaker 4: No, same.
- 16:47Speaker 1: But I'm imagining it's a lot of snakes. Yeah, it was.
- 16:50Speaker 1: But even one. Who actually saw it? Right. Who are
- 16:53Speaker 1: you in it? No, I'm not. Samuel L. Jackson is, though. Oh, okay. Well,
- 16:59Speaker 1: you guys are the same age. Anyway, so they pull over.
- 17:03Speaker 1: They're like, we got to go back to the gate
- 17:05Speaker 1: and figure out what's going on. Passengers started freaking out.
- 17:08Speaker 1: They evacuated everybody.
- 17:09Speaker 8: Oh.
- 17:10Speaker 1: And they're like, maybe this person is just making it up.
- 17:12Speaker 1: They had to bring in a wildlife expert. And it
- 17:14Speaker 1: took them 24 hours to find this 16-inch long non-venomous snake.
- 17:21Speaker 1: And it was found slithering under the airplane in the carpet.
- 17:24Speaker 1: They don't know how it got there. They think it
- 17:26Speaker 1: came from outside somewhere, and it just got on a plane.
- 17:29Speaker 8: Huh.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Can't we just stomp all over it and get this
- 17:32Speaker 4: plane going?
- 17:33Speaker 8: Right.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Get this flight in the air.
- 17:34Speaker 1: The brutality.
- 17:35Speaker 4: I mean.
- 17:36Speaker 1: I'm calling PETA. All right. Next story. It's got to
- 17:39Speaker 1: be somewhere. Yeah, I know. I would, too. Let's take off.
- 17:42Speaker 1: I'd be so annoyed.
- 17:43Speaker 4: We're fine.
- 17:44Speaker 1: You're right. Yeah. Oh, God. To know there's something live
- 17:48Speaker 1: on a plane?
- 17:49Speaker 4: Yeah, no, that's gross.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Just move it all around.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Getaway driver for shoplifter leaves without shoplifter. A suspected shoplifter's
- 17:57Speaker 1: escape fell apart when his getaway car left without him.
- 18:01Speaker 1: 22-year-old Mackie J. Davis allegedly packed three rolling suitcases with
- 18:06Speaker 1: nearly $ 2, 200 of clothes at a Marshall's in New Jersey.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Not the Marshall's. God, what was Ross closed?
- 18:15Speaker 4: Oh.
- 18:15Speaker 1: A TJ Maxx. Why didn't you go to Mervin's?
- 18:19Speaker 8: Oh.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Remember Mervin's? Oh, man. Who used to steal from Mervin's?
- 18:24Speaker 8: No.
- 18:24Speaker 6: No.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Anyway, officers approached this guy, and they're like, hey, what's
- 18:29Speaker 1: in the bags? Like, you're walking out of a store
- 18:32Speaker 1: with rolling luggage. Yeah. And that's when he started running
- 18:35Speaker 1: towards a Dodge Charger.
- 18:37Speaker 8: Okay.
- 18:38Speaker 1: But it drove off.
- 18:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:39Speaker 1: So before they could get to the Charger, this guy
- 18:41Speaker 1: peeled out.
- 18:42Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 18:43Speaker 1: And he was gone. So they arrested the guy. They
- 18:46Speaker 1: found 56 clothing items, and he was... Then he resisted arrest,
- 18:50Speaker 1: because why not? You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I'm
- 18:52Speaker 1: not going down like this. No. I'm fighting everyone. Exactly. Yeah,
- 18:56Speaker 1: I can't let it get out that I was shoplifting
- 18:58Speaker 1: at Ross.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Right.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Marshalls or Ross? Marshalls.
- 19:02Speaker 5: Marshalls. Yeah.
- 19:03Speaker 1: God, I love that place, though. I love a good
- 19:05Speaker 1: Ross trip.
- 19:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean.
- 19:07Speaker 4: There's some hidden gems in there.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Yeah, you can get... Tommy, he'll figure anything. You want Tommy,
- 19:15Speaker 1: he'll figure bath mats. Yeah. They got it. Shower curtain.
- 19:19Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 19:19Speaker 1: When's the last time you saw a FUBU sweater? Yeah,
- 19:22Speaker 1: it's there.
- 19:22Speaker 4: They got it.
- 19:23Speaker 7: Nice.
- 19:24Speaker 1: They got it. There you go. The real or fake news.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I just might. Bill the Kid, Candice Lopaz, producer Pooh
- 19:31Speaker 1: is here. I love, I love one hit wonders. Okay.
- 19:35Speaker 1: I do. Somebody released a list of the top. One
- 19:38Speaker 1: hit wonders ever. And I'm talking like 80s, 90s, 2000s.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I don't know if I agree with the list. I mean,
- 19:44Speaker 1: it's so hard to argue who are the best one
- 19:46Speaker 1: hit wonders, because if you think about it, there's so
- 19:47Speaker 1: many good one hit wonders.
- 19:49Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 19:49Speaker 1: So many. should we go over the top five yeah
- 19:51Speaker 1: let's go over the top five the top five one

- 19:59Speaker 1: you would never guess which one it was. You'll never
- 20:02Speaker 1: guess the top five.
- 20:04Speaker 4: I don't know. Come on, Eileen.
- 20:06Speaker 1: No, that might have made the list, though.
- 20:08Speaker 4: Okay.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Maybe, possibly. I'm not going to say. Number five was this.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Hit it right here.
- 20:12Speaker 4: Oh, God.
- 20:17Speaker 5: Remember this?
- 20:25Speaker 8: Yeah. Yeah.
- 20:33Speaker 1: That's how you know it's old. No area code, nothing.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Just straight up giving someone seven digits. Is it 214-817-1872?
- 20:42Speaker 1: Now you wouldn't even give somebody your number. They'd be
- 20:44Speaker 1: singing the Instagram username.
- 20:45Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 20:46Speaker 1: You know?
- 20:46Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 20:47Speaker 1: At Big Booty Jenny 69. Something ridiculous. Right? That's a
- 20:57Speaker 1: good one, though.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:58Speaker 1: I mean, it was kind of whatever.
- 20:59Speaker 4: We all still know it by heart.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Yeah. 8-6-7-5-3-0-9.
- 21:02Speaker 4: I can call Jenny anytime.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Should we call her?
- 21:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:06Speaker 1: What area code? I wonder how she's doing. I don't know.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I'll check maybe later. All right, we'll shoot her a text.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Nobody talks on the phone anymore. All right, number four
- 21:14Speaker 1: on the list, best one-hit wonders of all time. I
- 21:16Speaker 1: don't remember this song, but you said you do. Hit it.
- 21:18Speaker 1: So you know that when you die. I remember it, but.
- 21:22Speaker 4: When.
- 21:23Speaker 1: You just hear it in the sky.
- 21:27Speaker 4: My dad's music.
- 21:28Speaker 7: It was.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Norman Greenbaum.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Oh. Who's that?
- 21:34Speaker 1: Do you remember when this song was a new release, Pooh?
- 21:37Speaker 4: No.
- 21:37Speaker 1: I wasn't even around. Spirit in the Sky. What year
- 21:41Speaker 1: was that?
- 21:42Speaker 8: 69. 69.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Was it in Wayne's World 2?
- 21:45Speaker 1: Oh, that's how I know it.
- 21:47Speaker 4: That's right.
- 21:48Speaker 1: I wasn't around in 69. No.
- 21:50Speaker 4: No.
- 21:51Speaker 5: Okay.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Number three. Absolutely. I agree with this. And Candice nailed
- 21:55Speaker 1: it earlier.
- 21:57Speaker 8: That is a good one.
- 21:59Speaker 1: What a jam. Yeah, like I'm at the piano bar
- 22:04Speaker 1: right now.
- 22:05Speaker 8: 100%.
- 22:05Speaker 1: You're doing pianos in Addison? Yes! I'm at Pete's Piano Bar.
- 22:10Speaker 7: Pete's.
- 22:21Speaker 1: And it's all smoky. Yeah. Oh, God.
- 22:24Speaker 4: So fun.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Number two on the list, best one-hit wonders of all time.
- 22:28Speaker 1: By the way, come on, Eileen. Nobody knows who sang
- 22:30Speaker 1: that song. I bet you couldn't even tell me right now.
- 22:31Speaker 1: I just looked it up.
- 22:32Speaker 4: I couldn't have told you.
- 22:33Speaker 1: It was Dexy's Midnight Runners.
- 22:34Speaker 4: Yeah, no clue.
- 22:35Speaker 1: If you remember. Song number two, best one-hit wonders of
- 22:38Speaker 1: all time.
- 22:38Speaker 4: Once I ran to you, now I run from you.
- 22:44Speaker 6: This tainted love you've given, I give.
- 22:48Speaker 4: You all a boy could give you.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Take my tears and that's not really all. This reminds
- 23:01Speaker 1: me of Red Jacket. I don't know if you know
- 23:03Speaker 1: Red Jacket.
- 23:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I remember that club.
- 23:05Speaker 1: It was like a club back in the day. They
- 23:06Speaker 1: did like an 80s night on Sundays, and it was huge.
- 23:09Speaker 1: But I remember, for whatever reason, that's what I think
- 23:11Speaker 1: about when I hear that song. That's funny. And then
- 23:12Speaker 1: the number one, number one one-hit wonder of all time.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Are you ready for it? This is, they say, the
- 23:18Speaker 1: biggest one-hit wonder ever.
- 23:19Speaker 8: Yes.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Take on me. Take me up.
- 23:24Speaker 4: Take on me.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Oh, we nailed it. Yeah, we did. Thank God I
- 23:41Speaker 1: turned our mics down. I know. Now, if you had
- 23:44Speaker 1: to pick one, Candice, what would it be? Like one
- 23:46Speaker 1: one-hit wonder.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Of all time. Best one.
- 23:49Speaker 4: Immediately, Ice Ice Baby for me.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Oh, Ice Ice Baby. I should have pulled that out.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Had the cassette tape.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Everybody knows what it sounds like.
- 23:56Speaker 9: For sure, yeah.
- 23:56Speaker 1: I don't think we need to know that one. But
- 23:58Speaker 1: he wasn't a one-hit wonder, though.
- 23:59Speaker 4: Yes, he was. What else did he have?
- 24:01Speaker 1: Go, Ninja, go. Yeah. From the Ninja Turtle movie? You
- 24:04Speaker 1: can't hate on that. Come on.
- 24:05Speaker 4: But that was in the movie only.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Go, Ninja. Go, Ninja. Go. Go, Ninja. Oh, yeah. That
- 24:10Speaker 1: was a hit. Michelangelo started breakdancing? Yeah. Come on, now.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Come on, Candace.
- 24:16Speaker 4: No.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Straight out of R.L.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Turner.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Yeah. Vanilla ice right there. I'm going to say, you
- 24:21Speaker 1: know what? My favorite one-hit wonder of all time?
- 24:23Speaker 6: What?
- 24:23Speaker 1: What? Ooh, remember this? Oh, hit it. This here's a
- 24:28Speaker 1: jam for all the fellas. Try to do what those
- 24:31Speaker 1: ladies tell us. Get shot down because you're overzealous. Play her,
- 24:34Speaker 1: start talking. Guys start talking. Sits down next to you
- 24:37Speaker 1: and starts talking. Says she want to dance because she
- 24:39Speaker 1: likes the groove. So come on, fatso, and just bust
- 24:41Speaker 1: the move. Wow, I forgot that he said fatso.
- 24:44Speaker 4: I don't think I ever knew that.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Just calling people out like that. Imagine a rapper nowadays
- 24:48Speaker 1: using the word fatso.
- 24:53Speaker 6: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 24:55Speaker 6: Kid in the Morning.
- 24:56Speaker 8: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 24:58Speaker 1: We've got $ 1, 000 coming up if you want it. 840,
- 25:01Speaker 1: our cash cow, Mudana, will be here in the building.
- 25:04Speaker 1: She's still sleeping, but once she gets up, she starts
- 25:06Speaker 1: giving away cash.
- 25:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:08Speaker 1: She sleeps a lot.
- 25:09Speaker 7: That's good for her.
- 25:10Speaker 4: Must be nice.
- 25:10Speaker 1: She eats a lot.
- 25:12Speaker 4: Good for her.
- 25:13Speaker 1: She's out back just grazing. Grazing on everything. Her and
- 25:16Speaker 1: Pooh go out there at night.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Anyway, Candace Lopez, what is going on?
- 25:21Speaker 4: Yeah, well, more than 4 million tubes of different kids'
- 25:23Speaker 4: toothpaste and whitening toothpaste have been voluntarily recalled nationwide. So
- 25:29Speaker 4: I guess these were originally recalled by the company that
- 25:32Speaker 4: makes them back in September. But the FDA just moved
- 25:34Speaker 4: it to a Class 2 recall and didn't even give
- 25:37Speaker 4: a specific reason for it. So here's what's included. Multiple
- 25:41Speaker 4: varieties of Brush Buddies, Kids Toothpaste. So these are like
- 25:44Speaker 4: the cute ones you buy your kids, like Hot Wheels,
- 25:46Speaker 4: My Little Pony. It's the chocolate ice cream, cookies and cream,
- 25:50Speaker 4: and mint chocolate chip flavors. And then two, I know.
- 25:54Speaker 1: First of all, I'm going to throw up.
- 25:56Speaker 8: I know.
- 25:56Speaker 4: I didn't know there were mint chocolate chips.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Toothpaste? Recall that because of the flavor.
- 26:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm curious to see exactly why they're recalled.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Hot dog water. What other flavors are there?
- 26:07Speaker 4: Yeah, those are the specific ones involved in the recall.
- 26:10Speaker 4: But there's also two Evo toothpaste products for whitening and
- 26:13Speaker 4: sensitivity that are part of this and two ARU products
- 26:16Speaker 4: as well. So, like we said, check your toothpaste. Check
- 26:19Speaker 4: your kids' toothpaste.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Check your kids.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Yeah, check your kids.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Check everything. You got to check everything nowadays.
- 26:24Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I had frozen berries. I had to check those out.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Good job. Couldn't figure out what they were trying to
- 26:28Speaker 1: tell me to check. So I'm like, well, I'm just
- 26:30Speaker 1: throwing all these berries away because it's not worth getting salmonella, Ebola,
- 26:33Speaker 1: and monkey pox or whatever it's given me.
- 26:35Speaker 4: I know.
- 26:36Speaker 8: I know.
- 26:37Speaker 4: Guys, the Mavs lost their season opener last night to Houston,
- 26:40Speaker 4: 128 to 110. Cooper Flagg had 32 points. Kyrie had 15.
- 26:44Speaker 4: It was good to see him back on the court. Um,
- 26:47Speaker 4: they're going to go to Indiana to play the Pacers tomorrow.
- 26:49Speaker 4: And then we have our first home game, a big
- 26:52Speaker 4: home opener Saturday against the Spurs.
- 26:54Speaker 1: That'll be huge.
- 26:55Speaker 4: Yeah. It'll be fun.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I think Cooper said some kind of record last time,
- 26:58Speaker 1: but I don't know what it was. I think it
- 26:59Speaker 1: was like, he went 32 for 32 or something crazy.
- 27:02Speaker 9: Okay.
- 27:03Speaker 4: I missed that. I didn't watch the whole game. Obviously
- 27:05Speaker 4: I didn't either.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I was sleeping, but either way, I mean, I think
- 27:07Speaker 1: it's going to be a good season.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Yeah. Guys, the Glee reboot has been confirmed at Disney
- 27:12Speaker 4: Plus and Hulu. Multiple sources are also confirming Lea Michele
- 27:16Speaker 4: is a part of it. I think Cord Overstreet has
- 27:19Speaker 4: hinted online that he will return. So has Heather Morris.
- 27:23Speaker 4: So that's exciting. I also heard there's a reboot in
- 27:25Speaker 4: the works of the show Coach. Do you remember that
- 27:27Speaker 4: show back on ABC? Way back in the day, yeah. Yeah,
- 27:31Speaker 4: it was on like 89 to 97 with Craig T. Nelson.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I barely remember that. They can't think of any
- 27:36Speaker 1: new shows. They've got to redo everything. Yeah.
- 27:38Speaker 4: I mean, people are excited about the Glee reboot coach.
- 27:41Speaker 4: Not so sure, but I'm hearing that Ty Burrell is
- 27:44Speaker 4: the name being thrown out to play the coach. If
- 27:46Speaker 4: the show gets picked up and I absolutely love him,
- 27:49Speaker 4: you know, him from modern family, all sorts of things,
- 27:52Speaker 4: but he would be great in that role of coach.
- 27:54Speaker 1: I think what show I want to come back.
- 27:56Speaker 4: Yeah i don't watch a lot of.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Tv but i was like can we reboot what show
- 27:59Speaker 1: do we want to.
- 28:00Speaker 4: Reboot yeah i think we've rebooted all of our ones
- 28:03Speaker 4: like full house saved by the bell i was.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Gonna say we did the full house reboot fuller house
- 28:07Speaker 1: fuller house saved by the bell reboot yeah that's the
- 28:09Speaker 1: only shows i watch cops we can't reboot that that's
- 28:13Speaker 1: my favorite show ever right just look outside yeah just
- 28:15Speaker 1: go downtown dallas Exactly.
- 28:17Speaker 4: All right. I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your Texas Top Stories.
- 28:20Speaker 1: We're about to do the banger. We got Dirty Little
- 28:22Speaker 1: Secret next. It's Mix 102.9. Ability Kid, Candace Lopez is here.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Producer Poo is here. By the way, it's National Caps
- 28:28Speaker 1: Lock Day.
- 28:29Speaker 7: What?
- 28:29Speaker 4: Why is that a thing?
- 28:31Speaker 1: I don't know. These days crack me up every time
- 28:32Speaker 1: I see them. So shout out to everyone who's just
- 28:35Speaker 1: texting in all caps. It's National Nut Day. Wait, what? Yeah. Great.
- 28:42Speaker 1: National Nut Day. I don't know what your favorite nut is,
- 28:44Speaker 1: but there you go.
- 28:44Speaker 4: Yeah, pecans.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Macadamia. I love that you had one. Maca what? Macadamia.
- 28:49Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, they are good.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Why do you say it so angrily? Macadamia. She's shimmy.
- 28:57Speaker 1: So mad. And it's National Nut Day. Do you remember
- 29:01Speaker 1: talking about this a while ago? And I saw it
- 29:03Speaker 1: and I was like, good for her. Do you remember
- 29:05Speaker 1: doing a story about this girl named, I think her
- 29:06Speaker 1: name was Heather, Heather Torres, who's from here. And then
- 29:09Speaker 1: she started making news because She was doing these pumpkins.
- 29:13Speaker 8: Yes.
- 29:13Speaker 1: She was doing the porches and charging people to decorate
- 29:16Speaker 1: their porch for Halloween.
- 29:17Speaker 9: Yep.
- 29:17Speaker 1: This was a few years ago. I just read that
- 29:19Speaker 1: her company's making like over six. She's making over six
- 29:22Speaker 1: figures a year just doing pumpkins on porches.
- 29:27Speaker 4: Good for her.
- 29:28Speaker 1: That's what I thought.
- 29:29Speaker 4: The hardest part is getting rid of them.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, right.
- 29:32Speaker 4: I think she does that too, right?
- 29:33Speaker 1: I think she does.
- 29:33Speaker 4: I think she'll come and get rid of them.
- 29:34Speaker 1: She charges. And I don't know. What's the name of
- 29:37Speaker 1: the company? I'm going to give her a shout out
- 29:38Speaker 1: because I love seeing stuff like this. Yeah. Porch pumpkins.
- 29:41Speaker 4: That's right.
- 29:42Speaker 1: That's her business. Wow. She charges houses up to $ 1, 600,
- 29:47Speaker 1: maybe even a little more, to decorate their porch.
- 29:50Speaker 4: Yeah, she's got a wait list.
- 29:52Speaker 1: She does? Yes. Good for her.
- 29:54Speaker 4: And she opens in August, which is crazy.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Good for her. Good for her. So shout out. I am.
- 29:59Speaker 1: To Heather. Pooh, you can do it. I could decorate
- 30:02Speaker 1: some porches. We should have you do it for a
- 30:05Speaker 1: listener and see how it turns out.
- 30:07Speaker 8: Okay.
- 30:07Speaker 1: I have a feeling they're... You just got to pick
- 30:08Speaker 1: out the right pumpkin, a gourd or whatever. No, that's
- 30:11Speaker 1: your job. Oh, I'll pick it out.
- 30:12Speaker 3: Right.
- 30:13Speaker 4: You have to pick out a Cinderella and you have
- 30:14Speaker 4: to pick out all the different pumpkin varieties.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Okay. I could do that. You got to do like
- 30:19Speaker 1: an arch. You got to do letters. You got to
- 30:20Speaker 1: do fall foliage.
- 30:22Speaker 4: I don't know if she does all that.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Yeah, she does all that.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Really?
- 30:25Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, wow. I got to do foliage?
- 30:27Speaker 10: Yes.
- 30:28Speaker 4: Foliage.
- 30:29Speaker 8: Oh, okay.
- 30:29Speaker 1: You got to do foliage, Pearl. I'm just going to
- 30:31Speaker 1: bring some pumpkins over there and make it look nice.
- 30:33Speaker 4: No, you need the harvest moon one.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Yeah, do you have a harvest moon? Oh, man.
- 30:36Speaker 4: You need a baby boo.
- 30:38Speaker 1: I'm going to let Heather have that. Yeah, I think
- 30:41Speaker 1: you're out.
- 30:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Are you?
- 30:45Speaker 7: Get it off your chest. We promise you'll feel better.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Welcome to Dirty Little Secret with Billy.
- 30:51Speaker 7: The Kid in the morning.
- 30:54Speaker 1: The new mix, 102.9. $ 1, 000 coming up. First shot to win, 840.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Get ready for that. All right, Dirty Little Secret. It's
- 30:59Speaker 1: Billy the Kid, Candace Lopez. Producer Poo is here. If
- 31:01Speaker 1: you've got a secret, just call us up anytime. And
- 31:03Speaker 1: just confess, you'll feel way better, trust me. And you
- 31:06Speaker 1: got one. Bring it on.
- 31:07Speaker 3: Okay, so my secret is about my ex-boyfriend. And because
- 31:11Speaker 3: we're kind of in the same circle of friends, I
- 31:13Speaker 3: haven't been able to tell anybody. And it's just, like,
- 31:16Speaker 3: been eating me alive. I don't want to embarrass him,
- 31:19Speaker 3: but I have to get this off my chest.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Okay.
- 31:22Speaker 10: Because it's kind of weird.
- 31:23Speaker 1: All right. Is there something weird that he does or
- 31:25Speaker 1: something weird that you know about him?
- 31:27Speaker 8: Okay.
- 31:27Speaker 10: Well, first I just want to say the guy's a
- 31:30Speaker 10: total cat.
- 31:30Speaker 3: I mean, he's good looking. He played football and not
- 31:33Speaker 3: only in high school, but also in college.
- 31:35Speaker 10: He's, he's loaded.
- 31:36Speaker 3: He works in finance. He drives a great car.
- 31:39Speaker 10: He's, he's just, he's a, he's a nice guy.
- 31:42Speaker 1: What the hell happened? If he's the best guy ever,
- 31:43Speaker 1: why aren't you with him? It's not didn't work.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Honestly, he's like the last person you would expect this from.
- 31:51Speaker 3: But OK, so when we would get frisky, he wanted
- 31:55Speaker 3: like one thing only. He wanted baby talk.
- 31:59Speaker 10: And I'm dead serious.
- 32:01Speaker 3: I'm not just talking about like occasionally saying something cute.
- 32:04Speaker 10: It was like.
- 32:04Speaker 3: Full on, full blown baby boy.
- 32:07Speaker 7: Wait.
- 32:08Speaker 10: Like the first time he brought it up.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 32:10Speaker 3: Like the first time he brought it up, I was
- 32:12Speaker 3: I was kind of laughing.
- 32:13Speaker 10: I thought he was joking.
- 32:14Speaker 1: You are. You got to be joking. What do you mean?
- 32:17Speaker 1: Baby talk.
- 32:18Speaker 3: I like this. This is a joke, right?
- 32:21Speaker 1: Like when you're getting frisky. He liked the baby talk.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Or he liked it at all times, but especially, okay,
- 32:28Speaker 1: the frisky part is weird. It's all weird.
- 32:30Speaker 4: No, I can't.
- 32:32Speaker 1: What?
- 32:33Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I mean, we'd be, like, watching TV, and
- 32:36Speaker 3: he'd be like, me need some love and attention.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Oh!
- 32:41Speaker 8: Tommy?
- 32:43Speaker 1: And I'm like, I'm like, oh.
- 32:46Speaker 3: My God, you're like loaded and you're like doing baby talk.
- 32:49Speaker 3: And then, and so like, at first I was like,
- 32:53Speaker 3: I don't know if I could play along with this.
- 32:55Speaker 10: He would like pout.
- 32:57Speaker 1: He would pout?
- 32:58Speaker 4: No.
- 32:59Speaker 10: He would pout, he'd get all quiet.
- 33:01Speaker 3: And so I'm like, okay, I guess I'll play along.
- 33:04Speaker 3: But man, talk about a mood killer. I'm like, he
- 33:08Speaker 3: was a down former college player, like asking questions.
- 33:11Speaker 10: Does my little princess want to play?
- 33:15Speaker 4: Stop it. There's something psychological there.
- 33:19Speaker 1: So not only would he want to baby talk, he
- 33:23Speaker 1: would also baby talk you. So he liked you talking.
- 33:26Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 33:27Speaker 3: No, this was mostly him.
- 33:28Speaker 10: I mean, I had to be like, who's my big,
- 33:30Speaker 10: strong boy?
- 33:31Speaker 3: No.
- 33:32Speaker 7: And then I'm like, yes.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Who's my big, strong boy?
- 33:35Speaker 8: Yes.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Okay. I mean, obviously this is a deal breaker. I
- 33:42Speaker 1: was going to say why it didn't work out. And
- 33:43Speaker 1: then I'm like, okay, I don't care. I mean, could
- 33:46Speaker 1: you deal with, this is the weirdest thing. If somebody
- 33:49Speaker 1: said this to me, I'd be like, I gotta, I
- 33:50Speaker 1: gotta go.
- 33:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 33:51Speaker 4: Did he have a traumatic childhood or something? Why is
- 33:55Speaker 4: he reverting back to that?
- 33:56Speaker 3: Think so I know I just I couldn't do it
- 33:59Speaker 3: anymore like I'm trying not to judge like everybody do
- 34:02Speaker 3: your own thing but for me I was like I
- 34:04Speaker 3: can't do this like that's not normal oh my god.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Yeah so that was like the end of it even
- 34:09Speaker 1: though he's rich good looking you know big a good
- 34:13Speaker 1: dude total catch you just couldn't.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Do it I know so sad total deal breaker yeah
- 34:17Speaker 3: I was just like I just it was too hard
- 34:20Speaker 3: I couldn't fake it I couldn't fake it anymore but.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Why you don't want to play with me laughing.
- 34:26Speaker 4: You need a nap first?
- 34:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:29Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Did you say he used to tell you to wub
- 34:32Speaker 1: his little tummy?
- 34:33Speaker 8: No.
- 34:33Speaker 4: Yes, wub.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Wub, wub, wub. Wub. I wub you.
- 34:37Speaker 4: I wub you, baby. Ew.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 34:41Speaker 4: No, Al.
- 34:42Speaker 1: I'm so mad at this guy and I don't even
- 34:43Speaker 1: know him. No, seriously, this is like beyond bizarre.
- 34:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Candace, imagine if a guy did this to you.
- 34:50Speaker 3: I feel like I'm going to hell for telling you
- 34:52Speaker 3: all this.
- 34:53Speaker 1: No, you're not. Trust me, he is. I mean, if
- 34:58Speaker 1: a guy did this to you, Candace, could you ever
- 34:59Speaker 1: look past it? No. No matter how successful?
- 35:03Speaker 4: Nope.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Good looking?
- 35:04Speaker 9: Nope.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Come on, Candace.
- 35:05Speaker 3: No.
- 35:06Speaker 1: It's weird.
- 35:07Speaker 4: It's too weird.
- 35:08Speaker 1: It's too weird? Okay.
- 35:08Speaker 7: All right.
- 35:09Speaker 1: I'm trying to think if it was opposite. If there
- 35:11Speaker 1: was a woman who was totally successful, beautiful.
- 35:13Speaker 4: Y'all could look past it. Huh? Y'all could look past it.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Did Martha Stewart talk like that to you, Billy? Nah,
- 35:18Speaker 1: come on. What would you do? Martha Stewart.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Want me to bake you a pumpkin pie?
- 35:23Speaker 1: I'd be like, I'd be like, Martha. Yes, I do. No,
- 35:30Speaker 1: but honestly, guys would look past it quicker than women.
- 35:32Speaker 1: For sure. We wouldn't care. We'd be like, this is weird,
- 35:35Speaker 1: but I guess.
- 35:35Speaker 4: This is the man who's supposed to protect me? Yeah,
- 35:38Speaker 4: but it doesn't mean he's... I can't even do baby voice.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Do a baby voice. My little strong boy. Oh, ew.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Extra gross when he does it.
- 35:50Speaker 6: I know.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I don't want to do it. Well, thank you for
- 35:52Speaker 1: your confession. I am totally weirded out by this. Just
- 35:55Speaker 1: to know it's like a rich finance bro is weird, too.
- 35:58Speaker 1: You never know what people are doing. People are into
- 36:00Speaker 1: weird things.
- 36:01Speaker 4: You cannot judge a book by its cover or its
- 36:03Speaker 4: bank account.
- 36:03Speaker 1: You're right. And it's not hurting anybody. You're totally correct.
- 36:06Speaker 1: But does it mean you have to put up with it? No.
- 36:08Speaker 4: We'll find somebody else that likes the baby voice.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Yeah. I'd like to talk like a regular person, if
- 36:13Speaker 1: you don't mind. So, well, thank you so much. Good luck.
- 36:17Speaker 1: And if you get back with him, let us know.
- 36:20Speaker 10: That will not be happening. He's a great guy, but whoo.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Hey, you never know. Oh, no.
- 36:32Speaker 6: It's time for Candace Court.
- 36:34Speaker 2: It gets settled here with Billy the Kid in the morning.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Get up. Just get up. All rise for your honorable judge,
- 36:41Speaker 1: Candace Lopez. Straight out of Mesquite. She got her law
- 36:43Speaker 1: degree from Town East. So I don't want to hear
- 36:46Speaker 1: about how this is not a real court.
- 36:48Speaker 4: Oh, it's real.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Zip it.
- 36:49Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Mix 102.9. Your Honor, are you ready?
- 36:52Speaker 4: I'm ready.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Bailiff Poo, are you ready? I'm ready, sir. Okay, today's case,
- 36:56Speaker 1: and if you've got an issue, Candace will solve it.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Check out the revolving. That's right. That's all I think
- 37:01Speaker 1: every time I say that. Me too. At Candice on
- 37:03Speaker 1: air on Instagram. At Candice on air. All right. This
- 37:06Speaker 1: girl wrote in. She said, I need y'all to settle
- 37:08Speaker 1: something because my best friend is acting like I completely
- 37:11Speaker 1: screwed her over. And I honestly don't think I did.
- 37:14Speaker 1: About three weeks ago, I sold her my old car
- 37:17Speaker 1: for $ 6, 000. She needed something reliable and I was getting
- 37:21Speaker 1: a new car anyway. So I figured, okay, instead of
- 37:23Speaker 1: training in, I'll just help her out. I gave her
- 37:25Speaker 1: a good deal. She looked at it, drove it, liked it.
- 37:27Speaker 1: She paid me the money. It was a done deal. Well,
- 37:30Speaker 1: two weeks later, the transmission completely went out. And now
- 37:34Speaker 1: she's demanding that I give her all $ 6, 000 back. Here's
- 37:41Speaker 1: where it gets weird. I did make the comment to
- 37:43Speaker 1: her that it wasn't running perfect. Something felt off, but
- 37:48Speaker 1: I told her I didn't know what it was, and
- 37:49Speaker 1: I didn't want to spend the money to get it fixed.
- 37:51Speaker 1: I'm not a mechanic, and I never guaranteed the car
- 37:53Speaker 1: would last forever. It's a used car. She's telling our
- 37:57Speaker 1: mutual friends I knowingly sold her a bad car and
- 38:01Speaker 1: took advantage of our friendship. I say she bought a
- 38:04Speaker 1: used car as is, and sometimes things break. Here's my question, Candace.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Am I really obligated to give her money back just
- 38:14Speaker 1: because we're friends? Or does she need to accept that
- 38:17Speaker 1: buying a used car comes with her own risk?
- 38:20Speaker 9: Ooh.
- 38:21Speaker 1: This is a really good case.
- 38:23Speaker 4: That is.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Because I'm trying to think about what I would do
- 38:26Speaker 1: in a case like this. And Candace, I already kind
- 38:28Speaker 1: of feel like I know what you do because you're
- 38:30Speaker 1: a super nice person.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:32Speaker 1: You would be like, well, you tell me what you
- 38:34Speaker 1: would do.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Well, I don't agree with her demanding to have her
- 38:37Speaker 4: money back. You know, let's be cool first. You know,
- 38:40Speaker 4: let's talk this through and be calm about it. I mean,
- 38:44Speaker 4: you should probably get the car looked at before you
- 38:46Speaker 4: buy it. You took her, you know, word that it
- 38:49Speaker 4: does come with some risks. I'm not sure. Something's weird
- 38:51Speaker 4: about it. Like, that's a red flag when you're buying
- 38:54Speaker 4: a used car.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:55Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure.
- 38:56Speaker 1: I do feel like I wish I could hear her
- 38:59Speaker 1: side of the story because I'm wondering how... how well
- 39:02Speaker 1: she made it known that it wasn't running right i
- 39:04Speaker 1: think that's an important part of this particular case it is.
- 39:06Speaker 4: But we just have to go with the facts that
- 39:08Speaker 4: we know right and according to this letter you told
- 39:12Speaker 4: her something was off with it and you didn't want
- 39:14Speaker 4: to spend the money to get.
- 39:15Speaker 1: It fixed right now it is a.
- 39:17Speaker 4: Huge red flag for me if i'm buying your car.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Oh yeah yeah instantly i mean it is a friend
- 39:22Speaker 1: though let's not forget this is not just some uh
- 39:24Speaker 1: average person that's why i don't agree with how she's
- 39:27Speaker 1: acting i don't like the fact she's telling friends i
- 39:29Speaker 1: sold her a bad car. She's ruining my reputation. She's
- 39:32Speaker 1: slandering my name.
- 39:33Speaker 4: Right, she is.
- 39:34Speaker 1: I don't like that.
- 39:34Speaker 4: She could be taken to court for that.
- 39:36Speaker 1: That would make me want to not help her.
- 39:38Speaker 3: Right.
- 39:39Speaker 1: I'd be like, well, I was going to try. Because
- 39:41Speaker 1: if she came to me as a friend and I
- 39:43Speaker 1: sold her this car. And the transmission failed two weeks later.
- 39:48Speaker 1: I'd go, you know what? I get it. Let me
- 39:51Speaker 1: help you out. At least let me help fix the
- 39:53Speaker 1: transmission and give you some. I'm not going to give
- 39:55Speaker 1: you all your money back.
- 39:56Speaker 4: No. You're not getting a refund. We'll fix it somehow.
- 40:00Speaker 4: It's going to be less than $ 6, 000.
- 40:01Speaker 1: It's going to be less than $ 6, 000. So I'll help
- 40:04Speaker 1: you out. I'll pay for some of the transmission. What
- 40:07Speaker 1: would you do? Nothing. You ain't getting nothing back.
- 40:09Speaker 9: First of all, if I'm going to spend six grand
- 40:11Speaker 9: of my money, I'm going to check it out thoroughly
- 40:15Speaker 9: before I give you any of my money.
- 40:17Speaker 1: I don't know about that. Six grand is hard to
- 40:20Speaker 1: come by. No, I'm not saying it is.
- 40:22Speaker 9: I love you to death, but I'm going to be like, hey, Billy,
- 40:24Speaker 9: let me check it out first before I give you
- 40:27Speaker 9: six grand of my hard-earned money because I don't want
- 40:30Speaker 9: money to come between us. So I'm going to check
- 40:32Speaker 9: it out thoroughly.
- 40:33Speaker 1: That's her bad. Use your common sense. So you would
- 40:35Speaker 1: say too bad, too sad?
- 40:37Speaker 9: I'd be like, yeah, look, you should have checked the
- 40:39Speaker 9: car out.
- 40:39Speaker 1: So even as a friend, you'd be like, yeah, I
- 40:42Speaker 1: don't know what to tell you, girl. As a friend,
- 40:45Speaker 1: I'd be like, look, hey, once I don't see them
- 40:48Speaker 1: taillights no more.
- 40:49Speaker 9: Wow. Sorry about your bad luck. You can't be doing that.
- 40:54Speaker 9: And I even told her, hey, something wasn't running right,
- 40:59Speaker 9: but I don't want to check it out. So it's
- 41:02Speaker 9: on you. That right there tells me, okay, I need
- 41:05Speaker 9: to make a decision. Should I give this girl all
- 41:07Speaker 9: my six grand that I pulled from my 401k, or
- 41:11Speaker 9: should I go find one of those mobile mechanics?
- 41:13Speaker 1: That was specific. It was.
- 41:14Speaker 9: Or should I just go up to AutoZone, have one
- 41:16Speaker 9: of the mobile mechanics... give them 50 bucks and have
- 41:19Speaker 9: them check it out thoroughly. Well, the little thing.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Yeah. But I don't think he would have even seen that.
- 41:23Speaker 1: That's my point. Like sometimes a transmission could fail and
- 41:26Speaker 1: you just don't even know what's coming. Anything could have happened. Yeah.
- 41:29Speaker 4: If she had bought this car from someone else, she
- 41:31Speaker 4: would never even know how to get ahold of them.
- 41:33Speaker 4: They would never respond to your call.
- 41:34Speaker 1: It'd be done.
- 41:35Speaker 4: It'd be done.
- 41:36Speaker 1: But if you knew to me too, there's another side
- 41:39Speaker 1: of this. If you're the friend and you know something's
- 41:41Speaker 1: not running right, I'm not even going to sell it
- 41:43Speaker 1: to her.
- 41:44Speaker 4: Yes, I agree with that. And I've seen my husband
- 41:46Speaker 4: buy and sell cars. He flips cars, buys cars, drives them,
- 41:49Speaker 4: invests in them, does whatever. It doesn't matter how much
- 41:52Speaker 4: they cost, cheap cars, expensive cars.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Yes.
- 41:55Speaker 4: And yeah, that's always a factor for sure.
- 41:58Speaker 1: If I'm a friend, I'm going to be completely honest,
- 41:59Speaker 1: be like, listen, I don't even feel comfortable selling you
- 42:02Speaker 1: this because something's off with it. I don't know what's
- 42:04Speaker 1: going on, but it's acting a little bit shaky.
- 42:06Speaker 4: Yeah, that happened to my husband in the Target parking lot.
- 42:09Speaker 4: Someone came up and left a note on his car
- 42:11Speaker 4: and said, I'd love to buy this. Here's my number.
- 42:13Speaker 4: And he called the guy and said, hey, it's got
- 42:15Speaker 4: da-da-da or whatever, you know, because he didn't feel comfortable
- 42:18Speaker 4: with it.
- 42:18Speaker 1: See, and that's good karma because he's a good guy,
- 42:20Speaker 1: and that's what you should be doing.
- 42:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Okay? You don't want to put lipstick on a pig
- 42:24Speaker 1: and be like, oh, it's perfect.
- 42:27Speaker 8: Right.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Everything's perfect. Do we have a verdict, Candace Lopez?
- 42:30Speaker 4: We do. Look, you're guilty of being a Carvana Katie.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Oh!
- 42:35Speaker 4: Yeah, look, you can't give her the $ 6, 000 back, but
- 42:38Speaker 4: you can help her fix the transmission.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Okay, that would be your judgment.
- 42:42Speaker 4: Split the transmission so our friendship is intact.
- 42:45Speaker 1: And if this has ever happened to you, I want
- 42:46Speaker 1: to know.
- 42:47Speaker 8: 833-787-1029.
- 42:47Speaker 1: What happened with you and your friend? She's guilty of
- 42:51Speaker 1: being a.
- 42:51Speaker 4: A Carvana Katie.
- 42:53Speaker 1: That's bad.
- 42:54Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 42:55Speaker 6: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 42:58Speaker 6: Kid in the Morning.
- 42:59Speaker 8: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Got $ 1, 000 coming up on this beautiful day. Look at this. Oh,
- 43:04Speaker 1: the sun is out. I don't even see a cloud
- 43:06Speaker 1: in the sky.
- 43:07Speaker 8: Nope.
- 43:08Speaker 1: It's going to be gorgeous.
- 43:10Speaker 8: $ 1, 000, $ 840.
- 43:10Speaker 1: We'll do that with the cash cow. Candace, what is
- 43:12Speaker 1: going on?
- 43:12Speaker 4: Well, DFW Airport just opened the first four gates of
- 43:15Speaker 4: its new Terminal A expansion for American Airlines. The addition
- 43:19Speaker 4: has new food options, updated restrooms, wider walkways, taller ceilings,
- 43:24Speaker 4: and upgraded lounge space.
- 43:25Speaker 7: Oh.
- 43:26Speaker 4: I was just looking at pictures of this. It looks
- 43:27Speaker 4: so nice.
- 43:28Speaker 1: It does.
- 43:29Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a lot of, like, just glass and just
- 43:31Speaker 4: so clean.
- 43:32Speaker 1: I always get stuck in the crusty terminal. Oh, see?
- 43:35Speaker 8: See?
- 43:36Speaker 1: It used to be E.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:38Speaker 1: But that's come up. C is just like, man. Terrible. See,
- 43:43Speaker 1: we ain't even got anything. I'll pop a Cito's over here.
- 43:47Speaker 8: I know.
- 43:47Speaker 4: If you're flying and you're going to luck out if
- 43:50Speaker 4: you get a Gates A10, 11, 13, and 15, because
- 43:53Speaker 4: those are the ones that are open right now. The
- 43:55Speaker 4: opening date for the other six Gates. Hasn't been announced,
- 43:57Speaker 4: but they are expected to open by winter. So, yeah,
- 44:00Speaker 4: good news for American Airlines passengers. Big changes coming to Airbnb, guys.
- 44:05Speaker 4: As of November 20th, hosts won't be requiring you to
- 44:08Speaker 4: do chores when.
- 44:09Speaker 1: You check out. I do kind of like this.
- 44:11Speaker 4: Yeah, so according to the new guidelines, hosts won't be
- 44:14Speaker 4: allowed to ask their guests. to do tasks that require
- 44:17Speaker 4: a significant effort or time that would typically be done
- 44:20Speaker 4: by a cleaner. That's what's written in the new guidelines.
- 44:24Speaker 4: So they're talking things like washing dishes, doing laundry, taking
- 44:28Speaker 4: the trash out to another location. Maybe you strip the
- 44:30Speaker 4: bed of the sheets. You can be asked to put
- 44:33Speaker 4: your used dishes in the sink, things like collector dirty towels,
- 44:37Speaker 4: small things like that. But this is such a huge
- 44:40Speaker 4: relief if you stay at Airbnbs.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Oh, I don't really usually stay at Airbnbs because I'm
- 44:45Speaker 1: a little bit nervous about them. I feel like there's cameras.
- 44:47Speaker 1: I feel like the person who lives there normally is
- 44:50Speaker 1: watching me. I just feel like I'm invading someone's home.
- 44:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 44:53Speaker 1: But I stayed at one in Austin for ACL last
- 44:55Speaker 1: weekend with a bunch of friends, right?
- 44:57Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 44:58Speaker 1: The list of rules was insane.
- 45:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 45:01Speaker 1: When you get done with the towel, fold the towel,
- 45:03Speaker 1: put it on the ground behind the toilet. I'm like, okay,
- 45:06Speaker 1: you know what?
- 45:07Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 45:07Speaker 1: I'm not your maid.
- 45:08Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 45:09Speaker 1: I'm actually paying to be here.
- 45:10Speaker 4: Right. The cleaning fees, too. It's like, it's so much.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Yeah. You're not allowed to do this. You can't do that.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Close this door. Take the trash out this way. around
- 45:19Speaker 1: the corner, around the block.
- 45:21Speaker 4: That's why I like to stay in Airbnbs where I
- 45:23Speaker 4: know these people, this host, this is just an Airbnb. Like,
- 45:26Speaker 4: they don't live here sometimes and then have guests, you know?
- 45:29Speaker 1: So they have a service, like, come through and do it.
- 45:32Speaker 4: It feels much better that way.
- 45:33Speaker 1: I agree.
- 45:33Speaker 4: Yeah, but just a heads up, some big changes there.
- 45:36Speaker 4: Real quick, guys, let me update you on Val Shmerkovsky's
- 45:38Speaker 4: Dancing with the Stars suspension. So I guess they saw
- 45:41Speaker 4: him going back to rehearsals one week after the suspension.
- 45:44Speaker 4: If you missed it, he was basically taken off the
- 45:47Speaker 4: show for a week after he posted something online referring
- 45:50Speaker 4: to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock on the Oscars. That
- 45:53Speaker 4: was his response to some criticism from Carrie Ann Adaba.
- 45:58Speaker 4: But he's going to be back. Jenna Dewan did pretty
- 46:00Speaker 4: good this week without him. She had a fill-in dancer,
- 46:03Speaker 4: dance partner. Yeah, but people loving Dancing with the Stars.
- 46:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. Well, Pooh, you should probably know how
- 46:09Speaker 1: she does because you know Jenna. I mean, Jenna's going
- 46:11Speaker 1: to kill it. Does she ever text you still? No, no.
- 46:13Speaker 1: I don't have her new number. Did you ever have
- 46:15Speaker 1: her number? No, no. Maybe back in the day-day. I
- 46:19Speaker 1: might have. I think you'd remember. I might have. You know,
- 46:23Speaker 1: I had everybody's number back in the day. Look in
- 46:25Speaker 1: your phone. Look in your phone and see if it's there. No,
- 46:26Speaker 1: this is the iPhone. Is it right next to Jenna Bush?
- 46:29Speaker 4: Oh, God.
- 46:29Speaker 1: All the Jennas that you know that are famous? Okay.
- 46:32Speaker 8: Right.
- 46:33Speaker 7: All right.
- 46:34Speaker 4: We'll see, guys. I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your Texas
- 46:36Speaker 4: Top Stories on Mix 102.9. Well, you know what?
- 46:39Speaker 1: He said he knew her, so I'm like, well, hook
- 46:40Speaker 1: it up. Like, let's talk to her on the show
- 46:42Speaker 1: about Dancing with the Stars.
- 46:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Yeah, we need to. Yeah, maybe that's where you got
- 46:45Speaker 1: these tickets to give away. Are they from Jenna? Yeah. Oh, okay, good. 40.
- 46:49Speaker 7: Oh, that's a hot take. Let us know what you think.
- 46:52Speaker 7: Here's today's hot take.
- 46:55Speaker 1: On Mix 102.9, it's Bailey the Kid. Candace Lopez is here.
- 46:57Speaker 1: Producer Poo is here. Ladies, what mistakes do you think
- 47:00Speaker 1: you're making when it comes to dating? If you're single,
- 47:03Speaker 1: I thought this was very interesting because this is some
- 47:06Speaker 1: dating expert slash influencer. On TikTok, which obviously she's got
- 47:12Speaker 1: to be an expert. Of course. If you're on TikTok
- 47:15Speaker 1: saying it, I mean, it's got to be real, right?
- 47:17Speaker 8: POV.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Yeah, POV. Look at me. Date with me. And I
- 47:21Speaker 1: will say as a single man, dating sucks. I'm obviously
- 47:24Speaker 1: not a woman, but dating sucks for men and women.
- 47:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:26Speaker 1: Thankfully, you don't have to do it. Candace is married
- 47:28Speaker 1: for decades now. No.
- 47:30Speaker 7: What?
- 47:31Speaker 1: At least two decades?
- 47:32Speaker 6: No.
- 47:32Speaker 1: One decade?
- 47:33Speaker 4: Nine years.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Oh, really? Almost a decade.
- 47:35Speaker 4: Almost nine years.
- 47:36Speaker 1: You're going to be celebrating soon with Eric.
- 47:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Time flies when you're having fun. You know what I mean?
- 47:41Speaker 1: Pooh's been single for the same amount of time that
- 47:43Speaker 1: you've had. your marriage so it's okay no no it's
- 47:47Speaker 1: fine listen that's another thing too there's nothing wrong with
- 47:50Speaker 1: being single no it's not everybody sometimes people act like
- 47:53Speaker 1: you know there's some weird stigma about being single no
- 47:56Speaker 1: who cares ladies fellas if you want.
- 47:58Speaker 4: To be single old school way of thinking.
- 48:00Speaker 1: It is very old school way and i'm not saying
- 48:02Speaker 1: by any means should you get in a relationship just
- 48:04Speaker 1: because oh well you.
- 48:05Speaker 4: Don't who cares yeah live your life if you're.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Happy be happy These dating mistakes that this expert said
- 48:11Speaker 1: I thought were kind of interesting, though. Listen.
- 48:12Speaker 5: So here are some common mistakes that women make when dating.
- 48:15Speaker 5: Number one is solely relying on dating apps. Controversial dating
- 48:20Speaker 5: apps are where the raccoon of men come to forage
- 48:23Speaker 5: through women.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Wait, hold on. Hold on. Why do we got to
- 48:26Speaker 1: be raccoons?
- 48:27Speaker 4: Wow.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Raccoons.
- 48:28Speaker 7: What?
- 48:29Speaker 1: I mean, she does have a point, though. I think
- 48:32Speaker 1: meaning like, you know, people are going to dating apps
- 48:35Speaker 1: for one reason and one reason only. I think ladies
- 48:38Speaker 1: go to dating apps for different reasons than men.
- 48:40Speaker 4: But she's saying y'all are trash pandas.
- 48:42Speaker 1: Well, I can't argue with that. I mean, we are
- 48:46Speaker 1: trash pandas. I love that you call the raccoon a
- 48:49Speaker 1: trash panda. Listen to this.
- 48:52Speaker 4: Men are hunters.
- 48:53Speaker 1: Okay?
- 48:54Speaker 5: They like to hunt. And on the dating apps, it
- 48:56Speaker 5: is far too easy for them. I promise you, most
- 48:58Speaker 5: of these men are horrible. Trash. Literally dumpster fire.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Wow.
- 49:02Speaker 4: Whoa.
- 49:02Speaker 1: I mean, okay, that's a little intense.
- 49:04Speaker 4: Yeah, that's dramatic.
- 49:05Speaker 1: You don't want to generalize all men.
- 49:06Speaker 8: No.
- 49:06Speaker 1: But, you know, I've never been on a dating app.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Me neither. But I feel like, sometimes I feel like
- 49:11Speaker 1: maybe I should.
- 49:12Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 49:12Speaker 1: Then other times I'm like, no, because all my friends
- 49:14Speaker 1: tell me all these awful stories about them. Yeah. But
- 49:17Speaker 1: then there's some people who've met on Tinder or Hinge
- 49:19Speaker 1: and they're married and everything's happening.
- 49:20Speaker 4: Right, but you have awful stories from people you met
- 49:22Speaker 4: in real life too.
- 49:23Speaker 1: I do.
- 49:24Speaker 4: It's just a numbers game, I think.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right.
- 49:26Speaker 5: Number two, putting all your eggs in one basket and
- 49:28Speaker 5: only dating one man at a time. You rarely, if ever,
- 49:31Speaker 5: see a man dating one woman at a time. And
- 49:34Speaker 5: you may be asking yourself, well, why is that? They
- 49:37Speaker 5: will not settle until they find exactly what they are
- 49:40Speaker 5: looking for. A lot of you guys go on one
- 49:43Speaker 5: date with one man and you decide he's it. How
- 49:46Speaker 5: do you know that? Which brings me to three. You
- 49:49Speaker 5: get far too invested far too early. Girl, you've exchanged
- 49:53Speaker 5: three text messages and a hug. You don't know that man.
- 49:58Speaker 4: That makes sense.
- 49:59Speaker 1: Yeah, but okay. Let me ask you this.
- 50:01Speaker 4: You get your hopes up, right?
- 50:02Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I do think that's true. And I do
- 50:04Speaker 1: think you should keep your options open. And unless you've
- 50:07Speaker 1: had that talk that you're exclusive.
- 50:09Speaker 4: Yeah, just be honest.
- 50:12Speaker 1: That's the key.
- 50:13Speaker 4: Yeah. If you're dating around, let her know you're dating around.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Do you have to let her know, though?
- 50:17Speaker 4: Well, I think it's fair. It depends on how many
- 50:19Speaker 4: dates you've had with the person on the first date.
- 50:20Speaker 4: I don't think so. No.
- 50:22Speaker 1: First date, second date. Then when does it get to
- 50:24Speaker 1: the point where I should, Hey, let's make it clear
- 50:26Speaker 1: here that we're not just seeing each other. Right. Or
- 50:29Speaker 1: do you have to have that conversation? Cause it's so awkward.
- 50:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 50:32Speaker 1: You know, shouldn't it just evolve organically?
- 50:34Speaker 4: Right. I never had those conversations when I was dating.
- 50:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't have those conversations.
- 50:38Speaker 4: I never dated multiple people at the same time.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Exactly. I feel like if you're, you know, I mean,
- 50:42Speaker 1: if you're out multiple dates with one person over and over,
- 50:45Speaker 1: I kind of feel like that's naturally you're going to
- 50:47Speaker 1: gravitate towards that person.
- 50:48Speaker 9: Right.
- 50:49Speaker 4: There were never multiple people who I'm like, yeah, that's
- 50:51Speaker 4: a potential, potential everywhere. Exactly.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Well, she's telling you to date around. Well, and then
- 50:55Speaker 1: she says.
- 50:56Speaker 5: Or you accept low effort dates. And I know the
- 50:59Speaker 5: internet is going to have a field day with it,
- 51:01Speaker 5: but coffee dates are low effort dates. Walking dates are
- 51:05Speaker 5: low effort dates. You are not a Pomeranian. And I
- 51:07Speaker 5: can't even believe I have to say this, but if
- 51:09Speaker 5: you accept a date to his house, girl, you know
- 51:12Speaker 5: what it is. Absolutely not.
- 51:15Speaker 4: Low effort or low pressure? Because I think she's talking
- 51:18Speaker 4: like those low effort dates are just, it's no pressure.
- 51:21Speaker 4: We're just going to casual.
- 51:22Speaker 1: She basically just trashed Pooh's date. Yeah, we went and
- 51:26Speaker 1: had coffee. We just went on a coffee date. She's
- 51:28Speaker 1: not wrong. I mean, it is a low effort date,
- 51:31Speaker 1: but that's okay sometimes.
- 51:32Speaker 4: Right, because you want a low pressure situation.
- 51:34Speaker 1: Exactly. I think that if two people have the expectations
- 51:38Speaker 1: that are the same, then a coffee date's fine. Now,
- 51:41Speaker 1: if you're just doing the regular old same thing over
- 51:44Speaker 1: and over again, then that's boring.
- 51:47Speaker 4: Right.
- 51:47Speaker 1: That's boring. But you got to also read the room. Like, too,
- 51:49Speaker 1: if you're talking to a woman or, you know, someone
- 51:52Speaker 1: who you think, oh, they're going to enjoy a dinner
- 51:54Speaker 1: more than a coffee. Right. Then read the room and
- 51:57Speaker 1: figure it out. Talk to them a little bit.
- 51:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 51:59Speaker 1: She's right about one thing. I ain't going on no
- 52:00Speaker 1: walk date. I think that's a great date.
- 52:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:04Speaker 1: I ain't a Pomeranian or whatever.
- 52:06Speaker 8: No.
- 52:07Speaker 1: I'm built like a Rottweiler. I ain't going on no Pomeranian. No.
- 52:09Speaker 1: I wouldn't say Rottweiler. What? You say you're built like
- 52:13Speaker 1: a Rottweiler? Yeah, big and... No? Big and what? Big
- 52:16Speaker 1: and what? I mean, I'm just saying. Big and stout.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Rottweilers are like ripped.
- 52:20Speaker 7: Dot, dot, dot.
- 52:21Speaker 4: Big and stout.
- 52:22Speaker 1: I'm not big and stout. Rottweilers are like the bodybuilders
- 52:25Speaker 1: of dogs. Oh, okay. So what am I built like?
- 52:27Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know.
- 52:28Speaker 1: I'm not going to tell you what you're built like.
- 52:29Speaker 1: You're built fine. I'm just saying. Candace, what would you say?
- 52:33Speaker 4: No, you're not turning this on me. This is between y'all.
- 52:37Speaker 1: I'm just watching. What kind of dog? Who is built
- 52:38Speaker 1: like a dog?
- 52:39Speaker 8: No.
- 52:39Speaker 4: Like a pug?
- 52:46Speaker 1: Pooh and I are pugs.
- 52:47Speaker 4: He's a Rottweiler.
- 52:49Speaker 1: We got big upper bodies and little legs.
- 52:54Speaker 2: No!
- 52:54Speaker 1: Pooh and I are pugs. Short snouts, can barely breathe.
- 52:58Speaker 1: We're two pugs. Let us live. Let us live our
- 53:02Speaker 1: best life. We'd be on the Katie Trail just.
- 53:07Speaker 7: Can't breathe. God.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Been inbred. We don't know what's going on.
- 53:12Speaker 3: No.
- 53:12Speaker 8: All right.
- 53:13Speaker 1: Back to the point. The point is, low effort dates.
- 53:17Speaker 1: I don't know about that. Is that low effort, Candice?
- 53:20Speaker 3: Coffee?
- 53:20Speaker 1: Coffee.
- 53:21Speaker 4: Yes, it is low effort, but I'm okay with that.
- 53:23Speaker 4: I'm not trying to get you to give me the
- 53:25Speaker 4: moon tonight. It's our first date.
- 53:26Speaker 1: Chill out. Yeah, chill out.
- 53:28Speaker 4: That's just me, though. Some women probably would love that.
- 53:31Speaker 1: I like the idea of a walking date. I really do.
- 53:33Speaker 7: Yeah, that's cool.
- 53:34Speaker 1: Why can't I get a Katy Trail? Because I want
- 53:35Speaker 1: to people watch, and there's so much... You can bond
- 53:37Speaker 1: over trash talking about people.
- 53:39Speaker 6: Right.
- 53:39Speaker 1: Right?
- 53:40Speaker 4: Yes.
- 53:40Speaker 1: That's what I feel. So take Katie trail and all
- 53:43Speaker 1: them dudes with their shirts off. And I got this girl.
- 53:45Speaker 1: I got this girl right here. I know she's going
- 53:48Speaker 1: to take her shirt off.
- 53:48Speaker 4: I want to take her where there's other options around.
- 53:52Speaker 7: Wow.
- 53:55Speaker 1: You hate her. It's mixed one on 2.9 ability kid.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Candace Lopez. Producer Pooh, Candace Lopez, what's up with you?
- 54:02Speaker 1: You good?
- 54:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm good, except I just looked up how many
- 54:04Speaker 4: days until Christmas. It's 64 days.
- 54:06Speaker 1: 64.
- 54:07Speaker 4: Because I saw that giant nutcracker or toy soldier, whatever
- 54:10Speaker 4: it is, out front of front gate yesterday.
- 54:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:13Speaker 4: It's too soon for that.
- 54:14Speaker 1: No, I already have seen two people online with their
- 54:17Speaker 1: Christmas decorations up, trees up. One girl posted and she goes,
- 54:20Speaker 1: fight me. I'm done. I'm putting it up right now.
- 54:23Speaker 1: I want it to be Christmas. Now, you know what
- 54:24Speaker 1: I think it is? I think I figured it out.
- 54:26Speaker 1: I think I figured two things out. Yeah. Well, thing
- 54:28Speaker 1: number one. People want Christmas to start early because of
- 54:31Speaker 1: the comfort.
- 54:32Speaker 6: Yes.
- 54:32Speaker 1: You know what? We're in a time where things are crazy.
- 54:35Speaker 1: Things are nuts. It's comforting to have the tree up.
- 54:38Speaker 4: No, it is.
- 54:39Speaker 1: I get it. So if you want to do that,
- 54:40Speaker 1: you know what? Do it.
- 54:42Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, if you want inside your house.
- 54:44Speaker 8: Oh, God.
- 54:44Speaker 4: Oh, no, it's not time.
- 54:45Speaker 7: Oh, okay.
- 54:47Speaker 1: I got a little too excited. Too soon. But the
- 54:49Speaker 1: point is, why not?
- 54:51Speaker 4: But now I got Christmas trees showing up on my
- 54:53Speaker 4: For You page on Instagram.
- 54:55Speaker 1: You went to Frontgate?
- 54:56Speaker 4: No, I walked past Frontgate. Let's try to get it twisted.
- 54:58Speaker 1: Yeah, because Frontgate.
- 55:00Speaker 4: No. No, I went to Flower Child, which is right
- 55:03Speaker 4: next to Frontgate.
- 55:04Speaker 1: I was going to say, that place is expensive. Yeah,
- 55:07Speaker 1: producer poo. They don't have layaway, do they? No. Puggy poo.
- 55:11Speaker 1: What are you doing, puggy poo? puggy poo what are
- 55:16Speaker 1: you up to hey it's.
- 55:18Speaker 9: Going you need to change my name to healthy poo
- 55:20Speaker 9: i went to national uh natural grocers.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Good you did that's right you were telling me about
- 55:25Speaker 1: this what did you get that was healthy though because
- 55:27Speaker 1: i want to know uh well i got some supplements
- 55:29Speaker 1: get the line.
- 55:30Speaker 9: Music ready no oh george over there help me out
- 55:33Speaker 9: i got some ashwagandha wait what Ashwagandha.
- 55:36Speaker 1: What is Ashwagandha?
- 55:38Speaker 4: Ashwagandha.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Oh, it's Oshawa?
- 55:40Speaker 4: Ashwagandha.
- 55:41Speaker 1: It's not ashy, are you sure?
- 55:42Speaker 4: No, there's no Y there.
- 55:43Speaker 9: It's definitely not ashy. Okay, well, you're ashy. Maybe that's
- 55:48Speaker 9: why George said that.
- 55:49Speaker 1: Okay.
- 55:50Speaker 9: So you got Ashwagandha. Yeah, I got a supplement that
- 55:53Speaker 9: has Ashwagandha and.
- 55:56Speaker 1: Magnesium? Magnesium, yeah. Not just one magnesium, all three of them.
- 56:01Speaker 4: Oh, Trimag?
- 56:02Speaker 1: Good job, dude. What a bunch of nerds.
- 56:05Speaker 6: What?
- 56:06Speaker 1: Tell me you're getting old without telling me you're getting old. Okay, Mr.
- 56:09Speaker 4: Peptide.
- 56:09Speaker 9: So what? Look, I'm trying to keep up with you.
- 56:13Speaker 9: Because next year, I'm going to go all the way
- 56:15Speaker 9: on the corny dog walk. I'm not even going to
- 56:18Speaker 9: talk about it.
- 56:18Speaker 4: You've got plenty of time to make it happen. You
- 56:20Speaker 4: can do it.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Candace, he did last year, too.
- 56:22Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 56:23Speaker 1: No.
- 56:23Speaker 4: But he didn't do it.
- 56:25Speaker 1: No, I'm excited that Pooh made it nine miles. Nine
- 56:28Speaker 1: point one, but yeah. Nine point one miles. The year
- 56:30Speaker 1: before in the corny dog walk, he made it. It
- 56:32Speaker 1: was eight point something. Eight point seven.
- 56:35Speaker 8: Seven, yeah.
- 56:36Speaker 1: So he made it not even a mile more. It
- 56:39Speaker 1: seemed like it. You know, it seemed like it was.
- 56:41Speaker 1: I was a little disappointed. It's a double digits next year.
- 56:43Speaker 1: I was disappointed. Double digits. Candace walked the whole thing
- 56:46Speaker 1: with me. She did. I know. She only scooted, used
- 56:49Speaker 1: her scooter like one mile. Maybe a little bit.
- 56:51Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 56:52Speaker 1: But you and her. And Pooh looked like he was
- 56:55Speaker 1: about to pass out. I know. We were talking about.
- 56:57Speaker 1: My pelvic floor fell. Yeah. I don't know what it did. Yeah,
- 57:02Speaker 1: it did.
- 57:03Speaker 4: Mine almost did.
- 57:04Speaker 1: I'm telling you. When you're built like me. You know,
- 57:07Speaker 1: like I said. And that's what I was going to
- 57:08Speaker 1: mention because I got to say hi to our boy
- 57:10Speaker 1: Billy Jack. Oh, yeah.
- 57:12Speaker 4: What up, Billy Jack?
- 57:13Speaker 1: Yeah, Billy Jack was laughing because we were talking about
- 57:15Speaker 1: what kind of dogs we would be if we were dogs. Yeah.
- 57:18Speaker 1: I just got the funniest DMs. I can't. We have
- 57:20Speaker 1: the best. If you listen, thank you for listening. Like,
- 57:23Speaker 1: Billy Jack, thank you for listening. Yeah. I need to
- 57:25Speaker 1: come get a tattoo from Billy Jack. Yeah, artistic encounters.
- 57:27Speaker 1: He's the one who tattooed Pooh's glizzy on his butt. Yeah,
- 57:31Speaker 1: he did. Which people don't think is real.
- 57:32Speaker 4: No, it's real.
- 57:33Speaker 1: And then you got to whip it out.
- 57:35Speaker 9: Yeah, and I still get asked, let me see it.
- 57:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:37Speaker 1: I'm like, girl, we're in the middle of Target. You
- 57:39Speaker 1: can't be doing that. Sure, why not? Yeah, but just
- 57:42Speaker 1: come over here. Anyway, Elizabeth said, Pooh looks like. An
- 57:48Speaker 1: English bulldog.
- 57:49Speaker 7: Okay.
- 57:49Speaker 1: Okay. I see that. Yep. If we were dogs, what
- 57:53Speaker 1: would we be? And I said Pooh and I would
- 57:55Speaker 1: be pugs.
- 57:56Speaker 7: Right.
- 57:56Speaker 1: Because Pooh, like, a pug would definitely not make it
- 57:59Speaker 1: on the corny dog walk.
- 58:00Speaker 8: No.
- 58:01Speaker 7: Poor guy.
- 58:01Speaker 1: You know, can't breathe. Yeah. 98 degrees out.
- 58:04Speaker 4: I mean, a little bully couldn't either.
- 58:06Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 58:06Speaker 1: Oh, no, no. An English bulldog wouldn't either. I don't
- 58:08Speaker 1: know what kind of dog I am. But then Carlos
- 58:10Speaker 1: in Grand Prairie had me cracking up because he said... What?
- 58:13Speaker 1: That Candace... Oh.
- 58:15Speaker 4: Here we go. He's not a fan of me.
- 58:18Speaker 1: Is this a mean message?
- 58:21Speaker 4: It's Carlos, yes.
- 58:22Speaker 1: I wouldn't say he's not a fan of you.
- 58:24Speaker 4: Well, okay, he has a love-hate.
- 58:27Speaker 1: He said, all he said before was, he said, you
- 58:30Speaker 1: look like, Candace looks like the type of person who
- 58:32Speaker 1: claps when the plane lands.
- 58:34Speaker 4: Don't season my chicken.
- 58:37Speaker 9: I know.
- 58:40Speaker 1: Which might be the... Those people that do that don't get... No,
- 58:43Speaker 1: you're funny, Carlos.
- 58:44Speaker 4: As soon as the plane lands, everybody's like, woo!
- 58:47Speaker 1: It might be the funniest thing.
- 58:48Speaker 4: I don't do that.
- 58:48Speaker 1: The funniest burn ever.
- 58:50Speaker 7: I know.
- 58:51Speaker 1: You look like the person who claps when the plane lands. Oh,
- 58:54Speaker 1: I don't. Either way, he said, Candace, if she was
- 58:58Speaker 1: a dog, she would be a high-maintenance golden doodle.
- 59:02Speaker 4: What?
- 59:03Speaker 6: Oh!
- 59:03Speaker 1: With a gluten allergy.
- 59:04Speaker 8: No!
- 59:05Speaker 4: I love golden doodles. I'm not high maintenance at all.
- 59:10Speaker 4: at all.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Golden doodle with a gluten allergy.
- 59:15Speaker 4: At least my hair looks good.
- 59:16Speaker 1: And then I asked ChatGBT, I sent a picture of
- 59:19Speaker 1: Pooh in, and I said, what kind of dog would
- 59:21Speaker 1: my friend Pooh be? It came back immediately, immediately and said, OMG,
- 59:28Speaker 1: it would definitely be a bulldog.
- 59:30Speaker 7: Okay.
- 59:30Speaker 8: Wow.
- 59:31Speaker 1: Big teddy bear energy.
- 59:33Speaker 7: Okay.
- 59:33Speaker 1: Okay. Looks kind of intimidating, but an absolute sweetheart. Okay.
- 59:38Speaker 1: I can rock with that. Goofy personality. Looks like he'd
- 59:42Speaker 1: make everybody laugh without trying.
- 59:44Speaker 6: Oh.
- 59:44Speaker 1: Okay. And then this is what I love. This is
- 59:46Speaker 1: what I love. Basically, 150 pound lap dog who thinks
- 59:49Speaker 1: he's 15 pounds.
- 59:49Speaker 8: What?
- 59:56Speaker 6: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 59:58Speaker 6: Kid in the Morning.
- 59:59Speaker 8: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: We've got some more money coming up. Our cash cow
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: up and moving around in the pasture out back here,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: right off the tollway, just giving away cash. Nice. So
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: we'll do it again around 940. We do it on
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: the 40s all day. Candace Lopez, what is going on
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: over there?
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: Well, more than 4 million tubes of different kids' toothpaste
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: and whitening toothpaste have been voluntarily recalled nationwide. I guess
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: these were originally recalled by the company that makes them.
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: Back in September, but the FDA just moved this to
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: a class two recall, not giving a specific reason for
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: the recall. But here's what's included. Multiple varieties of brush buddies,
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: kids toothpaste. So these are the Hot Wheels ones. My
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: Little Pony.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: Not My Little Pony.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: That's what Pooh uses.
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: The chocolate ice cream one?
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: I didn't know there was chocolate ice cream flavored toothpaste.
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: I didn't either. When Enzo, you know, we were letting
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: him pick out toothpaste, I thought, we probably don't want
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: to get anything too crazy because he's going to not
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: want to, you know, do anything else but chocolate ice cream.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Gross.
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: Yeah, cookies and cream, mint chocolate chip flavors, those are
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: all included. Two Evo toothpaste products for whitening and sensitivity
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: are part, and the two other ARU products as well.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: And they make it so hard to try to figure
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: out what it is, though. Right. Because I try to
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: figure it out when you recall the berries. I feel
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: like you work for the FDA.
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: No, but that was great value. I was.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: Well, I had great value organic berries.
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: That's why I told you to check your berries.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: But I checked my berries. I didn't know which berries
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: were good, which berries were bad, so I just threw
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: my berries away.
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: Well, it's better safe than sorry.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: I didn't want to get monkey pox or whatever they have.
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: Guys, the Mavs lost their season opener last night to Houston,
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: 128 to 110. Cooper Flagg had 32 points. Kyrie was back.
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: He had 15 points. That was nice to see them
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: finally be able to play together.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: But they're going to go to Indiana. They'll play the
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: Pacers tomorrow. And then we have our home opener Saturday
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: against the Spurs.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: That'll be a good deal.
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: That'll be tough.
- 1:01:53Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: It's our year. Yeah. It's our year for every sport
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: this year. It's our year. We're going to win every
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Stanley Cup, Super Bowl. And the national championship NBA championship.
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: Yes, exactly. Guys, the Glee reboot has been confirmed at
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: Disney plus and Hulu. Multiple sources are confirming Leah Michelle
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: is part of it as well. I think cord over
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: street has also hinted online that he will return for
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: the series. So has Heather Morris. So reboots are coming
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: left and right because I just heard the, also they're
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: thinking about rebooting coach. The show from, it was on
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: ABC from 89 to 97. You remember Craig T. Nelson
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: played coach?
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember that. I wasn't born in 89.
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: Yes, you were.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: Oh, God. No, I don't remember that. I do remember
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: that show, though, barely, but it wasn't. Was it big?
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: Yeah, it was huge.
- 1:02:41Speaker 8: It was?
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: To go that long on network television, yeah.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Yeah, but that was back in the day when we
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: didn't have a choice. We had three channels.
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a good point.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: We had tinfoil on our antennas.
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: It was a good show, but I'm hearing, though, that
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: Ty Burrell is being considered to play coach, and I
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: love him. He's obviously got history with ABC, Modern Family,
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: but I love him as an actor. He's so funny.
- 1:03:00Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: So I'll keep you posted on any other reboots.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Thank you, Candace. I appreciate that.
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: You got it. I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your Texas
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: Top Stories on Mix 102.9.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: What show I would reboot if I had to reboot
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: one show? Because it was Full House, but then we
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: did get it. We got Fuller House.
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: We got all my favorite shows again. Fuller House, Saved
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: by the Bell, Mickey Mouse Club came back.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: There was a Saved by the Bell reboot?
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: There was a, yeah. I can't remember who played in it.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Me either. We need a Family Matters reboot. Family Matters.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Did they never try that one? No, because there's still
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: problems with Urkel. What's wrong with Urkel? Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:03:32Speaker 9: The way he left the show. He came out with
- 1:03:35Speaker 9: a tell-all book and everything.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Who's making this up? No, I promise. He did. With Urkel? Yeah. Okay, well. Yeah,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: he had problems on the show.
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: Jaleel White?
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I love that Pooh will know nothing about anything, but
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: he'll give you every random fact on the planet.
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: About Jaleel White.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: Here, quick fun fact about Urkel. Candace knew his name.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: I don't know his name, but yeah.
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: Thank you, Pooh.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: It's called Urkel. Number one for all your Urkel news.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: Mix 102.
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: The new Mix 102.9.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: Get it.
- 1:04:07Speaker 7: Off your chest. We promise you'll feel better.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: Welcome to Dirty Little Secret with Billy the Kid in
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: the Morning.
- 1:04:13Speaker 7: The new Mix 102.9.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: Thank you for having us on this morning. Confess. Tell
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: us your secrets. Come on. 833-787-1029. It's Billy the Kid,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: Candace Lopez is over there, Pooh's over there. We need
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: to figure out a day where we can do our
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: secrets again. It's been a while.
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Where we can each do a secret. But I don't
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: know if I ever want to do that again because
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: I felt like I was the only one who did
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: a real secret. And then everybody else was like, Candace
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: was like, I toot sometimes.
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: No, no.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: My secret was the worst one. Different than both of y'alls.
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: I don't even remember what they were.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: I don't remember what your secret was. I met up
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: with my ex and I didn't tell y'all. Yeah. It
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: was okay. I felt like, you know. Okay? Yeah. No,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: I mean, that wasn't that bad.
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: That was a good secret.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: That was a good secret. Your secret was what, though, Candace?
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: I forget what it was.
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: I don't even remember.
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: Did I try nail polish in the store?
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: You acted like you broke the law. Or that she
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: put sweet potatoes in her meatloaf. Yeah. It's good.
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: Don't knock it until you try it.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Do you really do that?
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: It's delicious.
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: God. It's so good.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Candice, you need to come up with a cookbook. Okay.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: You know what I mean? No, I'm not saying it's
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: not good. By the way, don't look at me with
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: that mean look. Pooh's the one who already roasts your
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: food every time. No, I don't. Yeah, but she's 0
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: for like three. Wait. Wow. Wait. The shade. Two for three. Yeah,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: because the last two items you brought up here were good. Remember?
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: Good.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: Yeah. What was the one that wasn't good? That was
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: the chili a long time ago. That was the chili
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: a long time ago because it had too many beans.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: That's it. Wow. But everything else was good.
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: She liked my confetti sourdough.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: Exactly. Her sourdough was on point. Yeah, you are a
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: good baker. And she made some other stuff. Yeah, she
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: brought up here. It was good, too. Yeah. Look at
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: him now trying to win points. No, I'm telling the truth.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: At least I'm honest. Billy would be lying. No, I don't.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I thought your chili was good.
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: You're stirring too hard.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Yeah, you're stirring. You're stirring. You got a secret. Let
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: us know. You're Howard stirring. Yeah, okay, whatever. You got
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: a secret. Go ahead.
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: OK, so my secret is about my ex-boyfriend. And because
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: we're kind of the same circle of friends, I haven't
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: been able to tell anybody. And it's just like been
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: eating me alive. I don't want to embarrass him, but
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: I have to get this off my chest.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: OK.
- 1:06:28Speaker 10: It's kind of weird.
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Is some weird that he does or some weird that
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: you know about him?
- 1:06:33Speaker 10: OK, well, first, I just want to say the guy's
- 1:06:36Speaker 10: a total catch. I mean, he's good looking.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: He played football and not only in high school.
- 1:06:40Speaker 10: But also in college. He's loaded. He works in finance.
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: He drives a great car. He's he's just he's a
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: he's a nice guy.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: What the hell happened? He's the best guy ever. Why
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: aren't you with him? It didn't work?
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: Honestly, he's like the last person you would expect this from.
- 1:06:57Speaker 10: But, okay, so when we would get frisky.
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: He wanted, like, one thing only.
- 1:07:03Speaker 10: He wanted... baby talk. And I'm dead serious.
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: I'm not just talking about occasionally saying something cute. It
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: was full-on, full-blown baby voice. The first time he brought
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: it up, the first time he brought it up, I
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: was kind of laughing. I thought he was joking.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: You gotta be joking. What do you mean baby talk?
- 1:07:24Speaker 10: I'm like, this is a joke, right?
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: When you're getting frisky, he liked the baby talk. Or
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: he liked it at all times, but okay, the frisky
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: part is weird. It's all weird.
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: No, I can't.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: What?
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I mean, we'd be like watching TV and
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: he'd be like, me need some love and attention. You
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: got my little tummy.
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: And I'm like, I'm.
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: Like, oh my God, you're like loaded and you're like
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: doing baby talk. And then, and so like, at first
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: I was like, I don't know if I can play
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: along with this.
- 1:08:01Speaker 10: He would pout.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: He would pout?
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: No.
- 1:08:05Speaker 10: He would pout and get all quiet.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: And so I'm like, okay, I guess I'll play along.
- 1:08:11Speaker 10: But man, talk about a mood killer.
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: I'm like, he was a down former college player, like
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: asking questions.
- 1:08:17Speaker 10: Does my little princess want to play?
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Stop it.
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: There's something psychological there.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: So not only would he want to baby talk, he
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: would also baby talk you. So he liked you talking.
- 1:08:32Speaker 10: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: No, this was mostly him.
- 1:08:34Speaker 10: I mean, I had to be like, who's my big,
- 1:08:36Speaker 10: strong boy?
- 1:08:37Speaker 8: No.
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: And then I'm like, yes.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Who's my big, strong boy? It's so hard.
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: You.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Okay. I mean, obviously this is a deal breaker. I
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: was going to say why it didn't work out. And
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: then I'm like, okay, I don't care. I mean, could
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: you deal with, this is the weirdest thing. If somebody
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: said this to me, I'd be like, I got to go.
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: Yeah, did he have a traumatic childhood or something?
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Something like that.
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: Why is he reverting back to that?
- 1:09:02Speaker 10: I don't think so.
- 1:09:04Speaker 8: I know.
- 1:09:04Speaker 10: I just– I couldn't do it anymore. Like, I'm trying
- 1:09:07Speaker 10: not to judge. Like, everybody do your own thing.
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: But for me, I was like, I can't do this.
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: That's not normal.
- 1:09:13Speaker 10: Oh, my God.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Yeah, so that was like the end of it. Even
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: though he's rich, good looking, you know, big, good dude,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: total catch. You just couldn't do it.
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: I know. So sad.
- 1:09:22Speaker 10: Total deal breaker.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: I was just like, I just, it was too hard.
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: I couldn't fake it. I couldn't fake it anymore.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: But why? You don't want to play with me?
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: Do you need a nap first?
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Exactly. Did you say he used to tell you to
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: wub his little tummy?
- 1:09:39Speaker 8: No.
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: Yes, wub, wub, wub.
- 1:09:42Speaker 8: Wub.
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: I wub you.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: I wub you, baby.
- 1:09:45Speaker 8: Ew!
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: No, Al.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: I'm so mad at this guy, and I don't even
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: know him. No, seriously, this is, like, beyond bizarre. Yeah. Candace,
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: imagine if a guy did this to you.
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: I feel like I'm going to hell for telling y'all this.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: No, you're not. Trust me, he is. No, but... I mean,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: if a guy did this to you, Candace, could you
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: ever look past it? No. No matter how successful?
- 1:10:09Speaker 4: Nope.
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Good looking? Nope. Come on, Candace.
- 1:10:11Speaker 8: No.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: It's weird.
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: It's too weird.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: It's too weird? Okay. All right. I'm trying to think
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: if it was opposite. If there was a woman who
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: was totally successful, beautiful.
- 1:10:20Speaker 4: Y'all could look past it.
- 1:10:21Speaker 10: Huh?
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: Y'all could look past it.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: Did Martha Stewart talk like that to you, Billy? Nah,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: come on. What would you do? Martha Stewart.
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: Want me to bake you a pumpkin pie?
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: I'd be like, Martha. Yes, I do. No, but honestly,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: guys would look past it quicker than women.
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: For sure.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: We wouldn't care. We'd be like, this is weird, but
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: I guess.
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: This is the man who's supposed to protect me? Yeah,
- 1:10:44Speaker 4: but it doesn't mean he's... I can't even do baby voice.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: Do a baby voice. My little strong boy. Oh, ew.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Extra gross when he does it.
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: I don't want to do it. Well, thank you for
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: your confession. I am totally weirded out by this. Just
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: to know it's like a rich finance bro is weird, too.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: You never know what people are doing. People are into
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: weird things.
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: You cannot judge a book by its cover or its
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: bank account.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: You're right. And it's not hurting anybody. You're totally correct.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: But does it mean you have to put up with it? No.
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: We'll find somebody else that likes the baby voice.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: Yeah. I'd like to talk like a regular person, if
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: you don't mind. So, well, thank you so much. Good luck.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: And if you get back with him, let us know.
- 1:11:27Speaker 10: That will not be happening. He's a great guy, but whoo.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: Hey, you never know.
- 1:11:32Speaker 7: Oh, no.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: 102.9, and we're about to get out of here. Thank
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: you so much for making this a part of your day,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: for listening, for putting up with us. We'll see you tomorrow.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Tomorrow is Friday. Hey, that means, oh, that means. Wheel
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: of Misfortune.
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: Oh, Lord.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: Last week, Pooh did Stoplight Karaoke, and it turned out
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: to be not a punishment at all. He loved it.
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: He did.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: In my undies. Yeah, well, you had pants on.
- 1:11:56Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Tidy whiteys over your pants. Yeah, I did. Right. Clarify
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: that so the police don't show up. Either way, we'll
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: do Wheel of Misfortune, which is exciting. Some new things
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: on the wheel, so that'll be a good time. Candice,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: what do you got going on today?
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: Oh, I have to finish making a sidewalk chalk racetrack.
- 1:12:13Speaker 7: Oh.
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: Yeah, we started it last night going all the way
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: out in the street, and we just need to finish
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: it today.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: See, man, I miss that age. Your son is eight.
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: I know. It's so fun.
- 1:12:21Speaker 8: It's so fun.
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: I'm just hanging on for dear life.
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: Enjoy it. Enjoy it while you can.
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: I'm trying.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: Yeah, because, I mean, every age has its, you know,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: good things and bad things.
- 1:12:30Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: But, oh, man, that's such a fun age when you
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: do stupid stuff, because I want to do stupid stuff. Yeah.
- 1:12:34Speaker 8: Aw.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: Like, you know, my son doesn't want to do stupid
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: stuff anymore. He's cool. He's 15. He's too cool.
- 1:12:39Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: I'm like, come on, let's go to the trail and
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: build a fort.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: He's like, build a fort, dad, grow up. And I'm like, what?
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: You don't want to build a fort? I would build
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: a fort right now.
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: Care if there's kids with me or not. Just do it. Yeah,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:12:57Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:12:58Speaker 4: I don't know why.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: What do you got going on today? I'm going to
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: Central Market. I'm going to go buy these crackers. Do
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: you ever stop going to the grocery store? You and Candace.
- 1:13:07Speaker 9: Because you claim I ate all these crackers, so I'm
- 1:13:08Speaker 9: going to go ahead and buy you your own box
- 1:13:11Speaker 9: so I don't have to worry about you thinking.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: I ate them all. Well, good. Thank you. Well, you
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: did eat them all. No, I had one handful.
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: I had two crackers total. One yesterday and one today.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: He just admitted his guilt.
- 1:13:22Speaker 6: What?
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: I said I had one handful. One handful. Oh, okay.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: It was like three or four crackers in there. Three
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: or four crackers?
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: Yeah, that was it.
- 1:13:29Speaker 8: No.
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: There were at least 12. There was 12 crackers in there.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: Oh, my goodness. And one handful. There was a whole serving,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: two servings.
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: They're super good.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: And one of my handfuls. I'm eating good. So I
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: had carrots and I had cucumbers. Yeah. And Candace bought
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: me these crackers. And I appreciate that. No, I appreciate that.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: And then I try to share them, and then it
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: bites me in the butt because guess what? I take
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: two crackers, Pooh takes a handful, and they're gone. And
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: he's touched every cracker with his hands.
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: So I'm going to have to start putting them in
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: little Ziploc bags for you guys.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Yes. Yes. Individually. Yeah. Proportion it out because this guy
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: don't know how to stop. All right. Well, I got
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: a shout out to Alito. Alito Bearcats. Big game tonight.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: My son plays football for them. And yeah, they're playing Weatherford.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Let's go, nephew.
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: Good luck.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Big rivalry.
- 1:14:18Speaker 8: OK.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: He said, Dad, he's like, people are dropping in my
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: DMs and talking trash.
- 1:14:22Speaker 4: Oh, wow.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Yeah. It's like that. It's a big. Yeah. So, I mean,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: it's a big deal right now. Maybe you have to
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: go out there and handle up. I know. That's what
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: I told them. I'll represent. Who will come out here
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: and steal your crackers?
- 1:14:34Speaker 8: No.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: All right. We'll see you tomorrow.
- 1:14:37Speaker 8: Bye.
