Transcript
- 0:01We'll start with chapter 19 and probably go into chapter 20 of
- 0:05Isaiah. Dear God help us as we read
- 0:09through this these chapters because there's a lot to be
- 0:12understood. We ask for wisdom and revelation
- 0:17in Jesus name, Amen. So it starts out this is a
- 0:21prophecy against Egypt. The first line says, see the
- 0:26Lord rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt.
- 0:32Well right away when I read that I thought about the basically
- 0:38the end times and and we know when Jesus ascended into the
- 0:45clouds, they said this would be the same way that he would
- 0:49return. So that is you can find that in
- 0:52the book of Acts chapter one verse 11 and it says well I can
- 1:03read from verse 9. So in Acts chapter one verse 9
- 1:08it says after he said this he was taken up.
- 1:11This is referring to Jesus before their very eyes, and a
- 1:16cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up
- 1:21into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in
- 1:27white stood beside them. Men of Galilee, they said, why
- 1:31do you stand here looking into the sky?
- 1:34This same Jesus who has been taken from you into heaven will
- 1:39come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.
- 1:45So there's other verses too that talk about him writing on a
- 1:49cloud. So in Luke chapter 21 verse 27
- 1:54one of the gospels it says at that time they will see the Son
- 1:58of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
- 2:04Verse 28 says when these things begin to take place, stand up
- 2:08and lift up your heads because your redemption is drawing near.
- 2:14So those who have prepared themselves will will be taken to
- 2:20be with the Lord and the the remainder will be subject to
- 2:25judgement. So then in Revelation chapter 10
- 2:30it says verse one. Then I saw another mighty Angel
- 2:34coming down from heaven. He was robed in a cloud with a
- 2:38rainbow above his head. His face was like the sun and
- 2:42his legs were like fiery pillars.
- 2:45And anyway, this is the, if you search cloud or in a cloud or on
- 2:51a cloud throughout the Bible, like blueletterbible.org, you
- 2:56will see all these different entries about God and about the
- 3:01return of Jesus being on a cloud.
- 3:04And that's how God came to the Israelites.
- 3:08When he came to Moses at Mount Sinai, he was in the cloud and
- 3:12then Moses went up into the cloud and he was there for 40
- 3:15days on this mountain. And he was receiving the
- 3:19information on the 10 commandments and also on all the
- 3:22details of the Tabernacle and the ark of the covenant and
- 3:26everything else that he was to build.
- 3:28So anyway, it's there's a lot in Scripture about God being in the
- 3:35clouds and coming on the clouds. And then in Revelation chapter
- 3:3914, verse 14, it said I looked and there before me was a white
- 3:45cloud. And seated on the cloud was one
- 3:47like the Son of Man who is, that's the way Jesus was always
- 3:51referred to with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle
- 3:55in his hand. So there are a lot of different
- 3:59verses. And these aren't all of the
- 4:01verses. I just chose a few of them to
- 4:03compare. But it says, see the Lord, I'm
- 4:06going back to chapter 19 of Isaiah.
- 4:10See the Lord rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt.
- 4:16So to me, this reminds me of the second coming.
- 4:18The idols of Egypt tremble before him and the hearts of the
- 4:23Egyptians melt with fear. We know when the when Jesus
- 4:29returns that it says that people will try to hide in caves.
- 4:36In fact, I want to look that verse up too.
- 4:38That's that's in Revelation and it's the 6th seal of Revelation.
- 4:45So I'm going to see if I can find that one real fast and read
- 4:50it because it gives all of these same descriptions and it's
- 4:57helpful to see them. I'll just take a second.
- 5:01OK, The seals. So on the 6th seal, it said.
- 5:06I watched as he opened the 6th seal.
- 5:09There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like
- 5:13sackcloth made of goat hair. The whole moon turned blood red,
- 5:19and the stars in the sky fell to the earth as figs dropped from a
- 5:23tree when shaken by a strong wind.
- 5:26The heaven heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and
- 5:30every mountain and island was removed from its place.
- 5:34Then the kings of the earth, the Princess, the generals, the
- 5:38rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid
- 5:43in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
- 5:46They called to the mountains in the rocks fall on us, and hide
- 5:50us from the face of Him who sits on on the throne, and from the
- 5:56wrath of the Lamb. For the day of their wrath has
- 5:59come and who can withstand it. So that is another place where
- 6:06it talks about the wrath of God and and when you start reading
- 6:10the descriptions of what happens, you will see that at
- 6:14the 6th seal is when it sounds like Jesus is returning at that
- 6:20time. Matthew 24 I think also has some
- 6:24interesting things about that as well too.
- 6:28So I find that part and read that one to you.
- 6:32It says that. So it it gives.
- 6:37This is interesting too, because this will tie into some of the
- 6:41other references that we'll have.
- 6:44So I'm going to start reading in chapter 24 of Matthew, verse 15.
- 6:53So when you see standing in the holy place, the abomination that
- 6:57causes desolation spoken of through the prophet Daniel, let
- 7:02the reader understand. Then let those who are in Judea
- 7:06flee to the mountains. So the prophet Daniel is also
- 7:09going to be referenced from the book of Isaiah, and we'll get to
- 7:14that in a few minutes. Let no one on the housetop go
- 7:17down to take anything out of the house.
- 7:19Let no one on the field go back to get his cloak.
- 7:21How dreadful it will be in those days for the pregnant women and
- 7:26nursing mothers. Pray that your flight will not
- 7:29take place in winter or on the Sabbath, for then there will be
- 7:33great distress, unequalled from the beginning of the world until
- 7:36now, and never to be equaled again.
- 7:39If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but
- 7:46for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened.
- 7:49At that time, if anyone says to you, look here is the Messiah or
- 7:53there he is, do not believe it. For false messiahs and false
- 7:56prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to
- 8:00deceive if possible, even the elect.
- 8:03See I have told you ahead of time.
- 8:05So if anyone tells you there he is out in the wilderness, do not
- 8:08go out here he is in the inner rooms.
- 8:11Do not believe it, for here's the part about Jesus.
- 8:15For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the
- 8:20West, so it will be the so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
- 8:27Wherever there is a carcass there, the vultures will gather.
- 8:32Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be
- 8:37darkened and the moon will not give its light.
- 8:39The stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies
- 8:41will be shaken. Didn't that sound like the 6th
- 8:44seal? Then will appear the sign of the
- 8:49Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the
- 8:54earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the
- 8:58clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
- 9:02And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they
- 9:06will gather his elect from the four winds from one end of the
- 9:10heavens to the other. So that is very descriptive and
- 9:17it sounds very much like this situation that we're reading
- 9:20about, this prophecy that Isaiah is speaking against Egypt
- 9:24because he says that the Lord's coming on a swift cloud, and
- 9:29then he also says the hearts of the Egyptians will melt with
- 9:33fear. That's exactly how the coming of
- 9:36Jesus is described. Those people who have not
- 9:39prepared themselves, there's going to be some people that are
- 9:42cheering when they see Jesus coming in the clouds and others
- 9:46who will be very fearful because they will know that what is in
- 9:50the Bible is actually true and happening and they won't have
- 9:54time to to do something different.
- 9:58They're going to be subject to the wrath of God.
- 10:02So it says and the other thing it says in here, which is the
- 10:08idols of Egypt tremble before him.
- 10:11Now that could be just poetic language or or it could really
- 10:17be literal the idols of Egypt. So these are false gods.
- 10:21And if if you get into studying the Bible and you really get
- 10:29into deep deeply into it, then you will see that there are
- 10:33principalities that are apparently assigned to certain
- 10:37geographical areas in the heavenly realms, I guess
- 10:41spiritual influences over they have like territories or
- 10:45something. And so I think that these these
- 10:50entities actually made people believe that they were God when
- 10:57they weren't. And they were just supposed to
- 10:59be watching over the people or watching over those areas or,
- 11:02you know, God is a God of order. So he had people, not people,
- 11:06but he had heavenly beings overseeing certain areas of the
- 11:12earth. And they had certain amounts of
- 11:13authority and not all of them decided they were going to honor
- 11:20God, respect Him, and obey him. And so they rebelled against
- 11:26him. They wanted to be worshipped
- 11:27just like God was worshipped. And maybe it's just one, maybe
- 11:31it's more. The Book of Enoch says that
- 11:34there were several of them. I don't remember the numbers,
- 11:38but it says there were several of them that were lured away, I
- 11:43guess, with Satan. And anyway, because of their
- 11:48disobedience, they will be banned from the Kingdom of God.
- 11:53And so they are not happy about that and they are very much
- 11:58against people and try to lead people away from God so that
- 12:03they can keep people from entering into the Kingdom of
- 12:06God. So anyway, I, I believe that
- 12:09these are actually spiritual entities, these idols of Egypt.
- 12:13They tremble. So it's not just making their,
- 12:16it's not just personifying a wooden statue or something like
- 12:20that. It's much more than that.
- 12:22But that's my theory. It's not, you know, proven by
- 12:26any means, but just an opinion that I have after reading the
- 12:30Bible. So it says I will stir up
- 12:32Egyptian against Egyptian, brother will fight against
- 12:36brother, neighbor against neighbor, city against city,
- 12:39Kingdom against Kingdom. The Egyptians will lose heart
- 12:43and I will bring their plans to nothing.
- 12:45They will consult the idols and the spirits of the dead.
- 12:49You know, God warns about that too.
- 12:51He says, you know, that's something that we are not to do
- 12:54the mediums and the spiritist. So when he says I will stir up,
- 13:01I'm going to backtrack a bit when he says I will stir up
- 13:03Egyptian against Egyptian, brother will fight against
- 13:07brother, neighbor against neighbor, city against city,
- 13:10Kingdom against Kingdom. That's a strategy that God often
- 13:14used when he he would bring like confusion among people and that
- 13:23would be where the enemies would actually fight one another.
- 13:27And there's something in Luke chapter 12 verse 51, and I want
- 13:36to read that one too because this is something that Jesus
- 13:38said actually 49 through, but this is Jesus talking.
- 13:45He said I have come to bring fire on earth, and how I wish it
- 13:50were already kindled, but I have a baptism to undergo and what
- 13:55constraint I am under until it is completed.
- 14:00Then he says this is the verse that do you think I came to
- 14:03bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division.
- 14:08From now on there will be 5 in one family divided against each
- 14:13other, three against two and two against three.
- 14:16They will be divided father against son, son against father,
- 14:20mother against daughter and daughter against mother,
- 14:23mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and
- 14:25daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.
- 14:28So this is what Jesus was saying that he came to do this.
- 14:34So it's interesting again when we say, you know, when some
- 14:39people have trouble understanding or believing that
- 14:42Jesus is the Son of God and he is one with God, it says I will
- 14:47stir up the stir up Egyptian against Egyptian.
- 14:51So it's interesting that Jesus said explain this as well.
- 14:55So that's another part. Then it goes further in the book
- 15:00of Isaiah that talks about they will consult idols and
- 15:04spiritists in the spirits of the dead, the mediums and the
- 15:07spiritists. I will hand the Egyptians over
- 15:11to the power of a cruel master, and a fierce king will rule,
- 15:16rule over them, declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.
- 15:21Well, that made me think about Daniel chapter 8 and verse 23.
- 15:30In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become
- 15:34completely wicked, a fierce looking king, a master of
- 15:39intrigue, will arise. He will become very strong, but
- 15:43not by his own power. He will cause astounding
- 15:46devastation and will succeed in whatever he does.
- 15:51He will destroy those who are might, who are mighty, the holy
- 15:55people. He will cause deceit to prosper
- 15:59and he will consider himself superior when they feel secure.
- 16:05You know, when there's like peace or safety, peace and
- 16:07security. He will destroy many and take
- 16:11his stand against the Prince of Princess.
- 16:15Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power.
- 16:19The vision of the evenings and the mornings that has been given
- 16:22to you is true. But seal up the vision, for it
- 16:24concerns the distant future. I, Daniel, was worn out.
- 16:28I laid exhausted for several days.
- 16:30Then I got up and went about the King's business.
- 16:33I was appalled by the vision. It was beyond understanding.
- 16:37So this is this is about a future person who will arise at
- 16:46the end of time and do these things.
- 16:49So it's interesting because this prophecy that Isaiah says is
- 16:54it's going to be the power of a cruel master and a fierce king
- 16:58will rule over him. And that's what Daniel saw, a
- 17:02fierce looking king that arose in the end.
- 17:05And this is the latter part of the end time.
- 17:08So then there's another verse it that made me think about it too,
- 17:14was Daniel Chapter 11, verse 42. It says that he will extend his
- 17:21power over many countries. Egypt will not escape.
- 17:26So he is basically saying that this is this is the same thing
- 17:34that Isaiah's saying that I will hand the Egyptians over to the
- 17:39power of a cruel master and a fierce king will rule over them.
- 17:43So that's Daniel verse our Chapter 11, verse 42 it says,
- 17:49going on from 42, it says he will gain control of the
- 17:52treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt with the
- 17:56Libyans and Kushites in submission.
- 18:01But reports from the east and the north will alarm him and he
- 18:05will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many.
- 18:10He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at the
- 18:14beautiful holy mountain. Yet he will come to his end and
- 18:19no and no one will help him. So that's the final outcome.
- 18:23But these are things that Daniel saw.
- 18:26Now Isaiah continues to say the waters of the river will dry up.
- 18:32So the Nile River runs through Egypt.
- 18:36And if you want to search, you can just search are the, is the
- 18:42Nile River drying up? Well, I guess since I, I looked
- 18:46at it at it earlier and I think since at least 2017, there have
- 18:50been reports of that and everybody's concerned and
- 18:54they're blaming it on global warming.
- 18:56But the Bible says it, it's going to happen.
- 18:59It says, here's what Isaiah says.
- 19:01The waters of the river will dry up and the riverbed will be
- 19:04parched and dry. The canals.
- 19:07The canals will stink. The streams of Egypt will
- 19:10dwindle and dry up. The reeds and brushes will
- 19:15wither. Also the plants along the Nile
- 19:20at the mouth of the river, every sown field along the Nile will
- 19:25become parched, will blow away, and will be no more.
- 19:30So again, I think this sounds like it's in the future because
- 19:33there it they aren't blown away. They aren't gone.
- 19:38And it says it will be no more. So it says.
- 19:42The fishermen will groan and lament all who cast hooks into
- 19:48the Nile. Those who throw Nets on the
- 19:53water will pine away. Those who work with with cone
- 19:57flax will despair. The weavers of fine linen will
- 20:01lose hope, the workers and cloth will be dejected, and all the
- 20:06wage earners will be sick at heart.
- 20:09The officials of Zone are nothing but fools.
- 20:13The wise counselors of the Pharaoh give senseless advice.
- 20:16How can you say to Pharaoh I am the one?
- 20:19I am one of the wise men, a disciple of the ancient kings.
- 20:25So anyway, this is, oh, something else to point out
- 20:29about the Nile River is that ironically, I mean, this is July
- 20:35of 2025 that this podcast is being made.
- 20:38And I just read an article that the Ethiopian dam was completed
- 20:43July 2025. So this had been going on for
- 20:47several years and Egypt was not happy about it because this dam
- 20:53is obviously a concern to them because it, it, it's not going
- 20:57to allow the, the silt or the riverbed fertilization of the
- 21:04areas that it typically floods now that there's a dam there.
- 21:08And Egypt's very concerned about scarcity of water.
- 21:12And I would be too, if you know what's in the Bible and it talks
- 21:16about the rivers will dry up. And we're hearing reports of
- 21:20that. Again, these are things that,
- 21:22you know, just to keep everybody's eyes open that the
- 21:25things that the prophet spoke about in like 700 BC, these
- 21:30things are happening today. And these, these things are
- 21:34descriptive of events of the end times.
- 21:37So This is why it's so important for people to get right with God
- 21:45because there are signs. I saw something else that I want
- 21:50to look a little bit further into it, but I was learning more
- 21:53about what the Jewish people believe in the, and their belief
- 21:57in the Messiah when he returns. And they they believe it will
- 22:03happen by the year 6000. And it's currently 5785 S
- 22:13according to the Jewish people, there's, you know, maybe like,
- 22:18you know, 200 something years remaining.
- 22:22Then there's this other interesting fact that the Dead
- 22:26Sea Scrolls were when they were found, I guess they were found
- 22:29somewhere around 1948 or something, something somewhere
- 22:33near the time that Israel became a nation or maybe a little bit
- 22:39after that. Maybe it was in the 1960s or
- 22:42something. But anyway, there was a calendar
- 22:44that was found and that was kept by the Essenes.
- 22:48So you can look that up if you want to search that.
- 22:50But they were another, just like we have different denominations
- 22:55of Christians. They were another group of
- 22:58believers that did believe in a, in a Messiah and they had a
- 23:05calendar that they were keeping. And according to their calendar,
- 23:10it's the year is 59, 5949 right now or 5950.
- 23:17I think it might be 5950. And so according to their
- 23:20calendar, it would again, they're still thinking the
- 23:23Messiah will come by the year 6000.
- 23:26We would have 50 more years. So those are the two different
- 23:32actual dates. Then of course, if you want to
- 23:34look up current projections, I mean, people are I apparently
- 23:40people have been doing this for years and years and years when
- 23:45the the last, you know, the end of this age will be I think
- 23:50everyone, everyone, all three different, you know, a theories
- 23:54all believe that at the 6000 mark, that is when it's going to
- 23:59be. But there's some question on
- 24:01what is the 6000 mark. So because of Jesus's death on
- 24:07the cross, that was when the new covenant began.
- 24:14And that's what people and the Essenes also established that
- 24:17there was this church age that was going to be 2000 years.
- 24:20And there's a another the way of coming at that same date you can
- 24:27look up on YouTube Messiah 2030. There's a series of videos that
- 24:32explain the 2030 because that's another theory that 2030 is
- 24:37going to be when the when Jesus returns.
- 24:41And that's based upon Jesus's death on the cross.
- 24:45And that, you know, it'll be like if it was like in 30 AD,
- 24:5120-30 would be 2000 years later. And there's lots of scripture,
- 24:58prophetic scripture that supports that.
- 25:02But again, that's a theory. So you could have 2030, you
- 25:06could have another 50 years or you could have a couple 100 more
- 25:10years. And that's all based on Bible,
- 25:13based on information, based on people's interpretation.
- 25:16So I'm sure not everyone has it right and it will happen when it
- 25:23happens. We our calendars have been
- 25:25tampered with throughout the years, the ones that everyone
- 25:31goes by. And so we don't really have an
- 25:34accurate calendar, but a lot of people are sensing that, you
- 25:38know, we, you know, we could be within that last, you know, I
- 25:43don't know, time frame here. So everyone should always not
- 25:49just because the end being near, but that I guess that really
- 25:52kind of creates a little bit of urgency, but more so that, you
- 25:56know, you never know if today's your last day or if you're, you
- 26:01know, what's going to happen in the world.
- 26:03There's lots of interesting things that can happen and do
- 26:10happen to people unexpectedly. So prepare yourself to be right
- 26:15with God. God is your creator and God
- 26:21ultimately he loves you and he uses people to reach other
- 26:25people. So sometimes the people who are
- 26:29the instruments of God wanting to reach other people don't do
- 26:33the best job at doing it. But you can be assured if
- 26:36somebody has the Holy Spirit that they are certainly have
- 26:40good intentions of it and are trying to get people to wake up
- 26:45and realize the times that we're in right now and that it's a
- 26:49time to turn to God and to get right with God because we all
- 26:54have strayed away from God. And there's a, you know, it just
- 27:01however we are when we die, that's going to seal where we
- 27:05are in eternity. We don't get any do overs.
- 27:08So when our time comes, whenever that may be, whatever we have
- 27:13prepared for, if we'd not prepared for anything, then
- 27:18unless God has extreme mercy for some reason, because it says he
- 27:23can have mercy on whoever he wants to have mercy on, but if
- 27:27he has mercy, then that person will be very fortunate.
- 27:30If he doesn't have mercy and that person hadn't turned to
- 27:33him, then it's just judgement ahead and separation from God.
- 27:39And I don't think that's something you want to play
- 27:41around with. If if you think about it,
- 27:43eternity, we can't comprehend that because that's forever and
- 27:47you can't imagine what it's like.
- 27:49So if people live, you know, maximum of 120 years or so, then
- 27:55that's a short time frame compared to eternity.
- 28:00So how we live right here, like that's not as important as where
- 28:05we're going to live in eternity. So the focus should be more on
- 28:09God and an eternal perspective rather than what's happening in
- 28:14our lives right here in the earth.
- 28:17That's all going to go away. We're not going to take anything
- 28:19with us. All we're going to have is our
- 28:21character. We're going to have our spirit,
- 28:24and either that spirit is going to be with God or separated from
- 28:28God. We will get physical bodies too.
- 28:31So we aren't just going to be spiritual, but these bodies on
- 28:34earth will not go into the into God's Kingdom.
- 28:38We will receive new bodies, immortal bodies that the way God
- 28:45designed us to be. So that's something that happens
- 28:49when Jesus returns, the people who had prepared before they
- 28:54passed away will actually rise from the dead and will be given
- 28:59their immortal bodies and will meet Jesus in the clouds.
- 29:02That's what the scripture, the coming on the clouds talks
- 29:04about. And then people who are alive at
- 29:07that time and are in Christ are, have, are obedient to Christ,
- 29:12they will then also rise and they won't even experience
- 29:16death. So if you're around and you've
- 29:19prepared when Jesus returns, you're going to be a really
- 29:21fortunate person because you're never even going to have to die.
- 29:24You're just going to be instantly changed and then be
- 29:27with God forever. So I kind of went a little bit
- 29:30far off on that one. But that's why these these
- 29:34things, really, these prophecies are so interesting because they
- 29:38all kind of say the same thing, but you don't get it when you
- 29:41first read it. You don't understand it until
- 29:44you start putting all of these things together.
- 29:46All these different prophets, they're talking about the same
- 29:48thing. OK, so continuing on, let's see
- 29:55Isaiah verse or chapter 19 verse 12.
- 29:58I might just read through everything.
- 30:01Where are your wise men now? Let them show you and make known
- 30:05what the Lord Almighty has planned against Egypt.
- 30:08The officials of Zohan have become fools.
- 30:11The leader of Memphis are deceived.
- 30:13The cornerstones of of her peoples have led Egypt astray.
- 30:19The Lord has poured into them a spirit of dizziness.
- 30:24They make Egypt stagger in all that she does as a drunkard
- 30:28staggers around in his vomit. There is nothing Egypt can do,
- 30:33head or tail, palm, branch or Reed in that day.
- 30:37And a lot of times that's how the last day is talked about,
- 30:40the day of of judgment when Jesus returns.
- 30:43So in that day the Egyptians will become weaklings.
- 30:47They will shudder with fear at the uplifted hand that the Lord
- 30:52Almighty raises against them. This can also be a foreshadowing
- 30:57event of a of the final end time because Egypt did have Assyria
- 31:06conquer them at some different points.
- 31:08We'll read about that too. But I do believe that this is
- 31:14ultimately an end time prophecy. So maybe it was like a partial
- 31:18fulfillment, but not the complete fulfillment that's
- 31:21happened yet. Especially when you read this
- 31:24next line. And the land of Judah will bring
- 31:30terror to the Egyptians. Everyone to whom Judah is
- 31:35mentioned will be terrified because of what the Lord
- 31:39Almighty is planning against them.
- 31:42So, yeah, I, I, you know, has there ever been a time when
- 31:49Judah or Israel has brought terror to the Egyptians?
- 31:55I don't know. This is, you know, this seems
- 31:58like it's has to be some future. OK, in that day, 5 cities in
- 32:02Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to
- 32:07the Lord Almighty. OK, that I think is again in the
- 32:11end times, 5 cities in Egypt swearing allegiance to the Lord
- 32:16Almighty. It says one of these, one of
- 32:20them will be called the city of the sun.
- 32:24And what's interesting is the city of the sun, there is
- 32:27actually a an ancient city of the sun.
- 32:32It was the sun God RA and it's called Heliopolis and it exists
- 32:38today, maybe not the the proper one.
- 32:42I think there was like a an ancient city that was gone.
- 32:46And then there's a newer city just outside of Cairo that's
- 32:50called Heliopolis. But so one of those cities
- 32:56that's going to be that's going to swear allegiance to the Lord
- 32:59will be Heliopolis. I did find out that there were
- 33:03some, I believe there were some Catholic churches there that
- 33:08currently, and I'm sure there's other ones too, but just kind of
- 33:13an interesting thing to to note. So in that day there will be an
- 33:18altar to the Lord in the heart of Egypt and a monument to the
- 33:23Lord at its border. That was another thing I
- 33:26searched is that what's the monument at the border?
- 33:29And there is nothing that is a monument to the Lord.
- 33:32I think there might have been some like temples to other gods
- 33:36or something that were at the borders at at different times.
- 33:39But there is nothing to the true God that exists.
- 33:43So again, this makes it another future prophecy.
- 33:50It will be a sign and a witness to the Lord Almighty in the land
- 33:53of Egypt. When they cry out to the Lord
- 33:56because of their oppressors, He will send them a savior and
- 34:00defender and he will rescue them.
- 34:04Now does that mean Jesus? I, I mean, I think ultimately
- 34:08yes, because he, he does relent, but it could also be someone
- 34:16else who helps. I'm not sure about that.
- 34:19So the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians and in
- 34:24that day they will acknowledge the Lord.
- 34:26So perhaps that is Jesus like they will see and he will
- 34:29actually have mercy on some. They will worship with
- 34:33sacrifices and grain offerings. They will make vows to the Lord
- 34:38and keep them. The Lord will strike Egypt with
- 34:42a plague. He will strike them and heal
- 34:46them. They will turn to the Lord and
- 34:49He will respond to their pleas and heal them.
- 34:52A lot of times we hit rock bottom before we actually turn
- 34:56to God and that's when bad things are happening.
- 35:00You know, we hit rock bottom when it gets the worst it's
- 35:03been, But that point, that's when we either turn away from
- 35:08God or we turn towards God and God is loving and welcomes us
- 35:13when we turn back to Him. In that day, there will be a
- 35:18highway from Egypt to Assyria. That would be like Iran or
- 35:22Turkey or, you know, some of that area.
- 35:25And you can actually drive from Cairo to Istanbul.
- 35:31I think you have to take a ferry or something.
- 35:33But I actually checked it out on Google Maps.
- 35:35So there is a highway now today that can take some people there
- 35:42who knows if it's the exact highway that they're talking
- 35:44about here. Maybe there's going to be a new
- 35:46highway, you know, because during the reign of Christ,
- 35:49there's going to be a Millennium and a rebuilding of, of things.
- 35:53So maybe there's a new one. The Assyrians will go to Egypt
- 35:57and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will
- 36:03worship together in that day. Israel will be the third along
- 36:09with Egypt and Assyria. A blessing on the earth Now
- 36:15isn't that wild? You know like the Assyria and
- 36:18Egypt will also be a blessing. This is just showing the mercy
- 36:23and compassion extended to all humans like God isn't showing
- 36:29favoritism. The Lord Almighty will bless
- 36:32them saying blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria, Assyria my
- 36:40handiwork and Israel my inheritance.
- 36:44So that's the other thing as I was reading too, as I, I don't
- 36:49know, I'm trying to sort through this thing with it seems like
- 36:54it's going to be the Assyrian who will be the if you want to
- 36:57call what people have labeled the Antichrist or the lawless 1.
- 37:03And it just you see a lot of that through biblical prophecy
- 37:08and it just seems to come from the same area.
- 37:11And again, you know, maybe it's just that spiritual influence
- 37:15over those land areas. So my expectation is that
- 37:19someone from like Turkey or Syria or something like that,
- 37:25that eventually becomes the Antichrist and because of these
- 37:30Bible prophecies. And anyway, it's, it's just, I
- 37:38don't know, I don't remember what I was going to say there.
- 37:39I will continue reading chapter 20 also because it's a prophecy
- 37:44continuing against Egypt and Kush in the year that the
- 37:48supreme commander sent by Sargon, king of Assyria, came to
- 37:52Ashdod and attacked and captured it.
- 37:54At that time the Lord spoke through Isaiah, son of Amos.
- 37:58He said to him, take off, take off the sackcloth from your body
- 38:04and the sandals from your feet. And he did so, going around
- 38:08stripped and barefoot. Now this is Isaiah.
- 38:12Then the Lord said, just as my servant Isaiah has gone stripped
- 38:16and barefoot for three years as a sign and portent against Egypt
- 38:24and Kush, so the the king of Assyria will lead away stripped
- 38:31and barefoot. The Egyptian captives and
- 38:34Cushite exiles, young and old, with buttocks bared to Egypt's
- 38:38shame. Those who trusted in Cush and
- 38:41boasted in Egypt will be dismayed and put to shame.
- 38:45In that day, the people who live on the coast will say, see what
- 38:49has happened to those we relied on, those we fled for help and
- 38:54deliverance from the king of Assyria.
- 38:56How can we escape? And then that's the end of
- 39:00chapter 21. So I will read through the study
- 39:03Bibles, questions and answers, and then we'll wrap this one up.
- 39:08So it says, let's see, where does it start?
- 39:12What kind of prophecy is this? The Hebrew word prophecy here is
- 39:16related to the verb meaning to lift or carry and is possibly to
- 39:21be understood as either a lifting of 1's voice or a caring
- 39:24of a burden. Such a prophecy often brings
- 39:27unwelcomed news or judgement. How would the Egyptians see God
- 39:31coming? God would come on a swift cloud,
- 39:35used here as figurative speech for God's power and sudden
- 39:39judgement. OK.
- 39:41I also think it might be a literal thing because of other
- 39:44parts in the Bible where it says Jesus comes on a cloud and that
- 39:50when he ascended into heaven, Acts one, Acts chapter one verse
- 39:5611, when it says the way that Jesus ascended like he went up
- 40:01into the clouds is the way he's coming back.
- 40:04So it seems like it's going to be kind of literal OK during the
- 40:09templates. The God of Israel had also
- 40:13judged the gods of Egypt. So again, we were talking about,
- 40:19you know, how these spiritual entities kind of had powers over
- 40:24certain areas. And so God was, I think, I think
- 40:29there might be something to that as well as its people.
- 40:32Now his appearance on the heaven, now his appearance on
- 40:37the heavenly horizon, filled them both with dread.
- 40:42When did Egypt experience civil war and subjection to a fierce
- 40:47king? Egyptian unity has been secured
- 40:50by the power of the Kushite dynasty according to the Greek
- 40:55historian Herodotus, that unity was destroyed by civil war and
- 41:0312 petty kingdoms arising until finally, in the middle of the
- 41:0717th or the 7th century, BCA measure of unity was secured
- 41:14once again under sametekus the first.
- 41:18The cruel master and fierce king might refer to one of Egypt's
- 41:23Kushite overlords, but more likely points to Azar Hardon,
- 41:30the king of Assyria who conquered Egypt in 670 BC.
- 41:35Cruelty was a general characteristic of all the
- 41:38Assyrian monarchs, so again, this could be a future Assyrian.
- 41:42Also, it could be one of those foreshadowing events where part
- 41:45of it did happen, but there's still a greater fulfillment at
- 41:49the end times. So what were mediums and
- 41:51spiritist? These were people through whom
- 41:55the spirit of a dead person was believed to communicate with the
- 41:59living. Consulting them was a widespread
- 42:02practice among Israel's neighbors and was a constant
- 42:06temptation for the Israelites, especially when they were under
- 42:10judgement of God. Isaiah pointed out the
- 42:12foolishness of consulting the dead when they could consult the
- 42:16living God. And there's an interesting
- 42:18thing. I wish I would have remembered
- 42:20where this verse was, but I think it's actually in the book
- 42:23of Job. But it talks about that, you
- 42:26know, once somebody is dead, they don't come back.
- 42:29So when people are consulting dead people and somebody that
- 42:33they're familiar with and they're wanting to get advice or
- 42:36information from them, what apparently is happening is that
- 42:42demons are actually involved. If somebody's successful in
- 42:46doing this and they actually see something or witness something
- 42:50or have some kind of experience, that is actually a a demon.
- 42:54Because it says that even Satan can appear as an Angel of light.
- 43:00So he's, he's darkness, but he can appear as something good.
- 43:04And that's why God is saying don't do that because you're
- 43:08messing with demons and it's going to bring about a lot of
- 43:12trouble with you. Other people who have been
- 43:14involved in that type of practice have, you know, come
- 43:18forward and have testimonies about about what happened in
- 43:24their lives. There's a lot of people that
- 43:26speak about this, that it's, it's not just make believe that
- 43:29this stuff does happen. OK?
- 43:31What happened to the Egyptians? In addition to being invaded by
- 43:35Sargon the second the Egyptians most likely experienced A
- 43:39drought, the so-called gods of Egypt had failed.
- 43:43The Nile dried up and caused economic collapse throughout the
- 43:46country. Well, the only part of that, you
- 43:49know, maybe that did happen, but the only thing that it says is
- 43:53that all these things will blow away and will be no more.
- 43:56So again, it could have a double fulfillment, A partial
- 43:59fulfillment back in this time and then in the, you know, the
- 44:04BC era and a future 1 yet to come.
- 44:08Especially because there's all these reports now about the Nile
- 44:10drying up. I saw 11 report.
- 44:12I have no idea how deep the Nile is but I saw something that said
- 44:16it was like 60 feet per year which that I just can't imagine
- 44:24the river being that deep. But maybe I got the number wrong
- 44:27but it was 60 something per year or maybe it was talking about it
- 44:30It's receding from the banks when it floods by 60 feet.
- 44:35I'm not sure, but whatever it there are reports that you will
- 44:40find if you just search Google about the Nile drying up.
- 44:44Did Judah ever invade Egypt? There is no evidence that Judah
- 44:48invaded Egypt with military force.
- 44:50The people of Judah who escaped the Babylonian siege of
- 44:54Jerusalem in 586 BC fled to Egypt and formed colonies there.
- 44:58Even Jeremiah, who protested going to Egypt, went there.
- 45:03Some Jews still live in Egypt today.
- 45:09Jewish believers living in Egypt spread the good news of Yeshua
- 45:13the Messiah. Why would Egyptians speak
- 45:17Hebrew, the language of Canaan? This may be a reference to Jews
- 45:21living in Egypt forming a colony of worshippers of the Lord in
- 45:25this Pagan land. After the fall of Jerusalem in
- 45:28586 BC, many Jews fled to Egypt. On the other hand, this could be
- 45:34a symbolic reference to the conversion of Egypt to the
- 45:37worship of the one true God. Who knows?
- 45:40Maybe when Jesus returns everybody will speak Hebrew.
- 45:43We don't. We don't know, so it's all
- 45:46speculation at this point. What was the city of the sun?
- 45:50Most likely this refers to the Egyptian city Heliopolis at And
- 45:56then Heliopolis, the city of Egypt's sun God was destroyed by
- 46:02Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon in about 567 BC.
- 46:06And then what's interesting is, you know, I don't know if this
- 46:09is just prophetic or what, but if this is about end times, that
- 46:13there is actually a current city called Heliopolis.
- 46:16And it was, I don't know if there's somebody from Britain or
- 46:20German. I, I can't remember who
- 46:21developed it, but it's currently, there's a town called
- 46:25Heliopolis just outside of Cairo.
- 46:28And it's where the affluent live.
- 46:30So it's kind of interesting. I mean, who would have thought
- 46:33that this happened in the 19 in the 20th century?
- 46:37So did Isaiah expect revival among the pagans?
- 46:41Yes, as a fulfillment of God's promise to Abraham that Abraham
- 46:46would be a blessing to the nations.
- 46:48The revelation of God's Amazing Grace to the Gentiles embraced
- 46:52not only the old enemy, Egypt, but also the new one, Assyria.
- 46:57Egypt and Assyria would do their long standing antagonism toward
- 47:03each other and come together in worship of the one true God, the
- 47:09God of the little Israelite nation whom they had both
- 47:13affected so severely. So just think, you know, in the
- 47:16future everybody is going to be at peace, like not until Jesus
- 47:20returns. And that's another thing to
- 47:22remember that you know, this is definitely future because
- 47:26Assyria and Israel and Egypt are not all buddies right now and
- 47:33are not completely peaceful and are not all worshipping the one
- 47:36true God. So why would God strike the
- 47:40Egyptians only to heal them? The reference to a plague is
- 47:44another echo of Exodus in the time of Moses.
- 47:48The pleas of the Egyptians for the lifting of the plagues were
- 47:52heard throughout the intercession of Moses, though
- 47:55there was no true penitence in the hearts of Pharaoh and his
- 47:58servants. In terms of this prophecy,
- 48:01however, the plague would bring the Egyptians to repentance and
- 48:05God would hear their cries for deliverance.
- 48:10Then who was this Sargon? Sargon the Second ruled Assyria
- 48:14from 7:21 to seven O 5 BC. Ashdod, a leading Philistine
- 48:20city, had rebelled against Assyria but succumbed to Sargon
- 48:25the Second in 711 BC. Why did God tell Isaiah to go
- 48:32around stripped and barefoot? Acted prophecy occurs frequently
- 48:37in the Old Testament. There's examples of that in
- 48:40First Kings Chapter 11, Jeremiah chapter 13, Ezekiel chapter 4.
- 48:46Using the object lessons of a of a captive, stripped and
- 48:51barefoot, Isaiah demonstrated what would happen to Egypt and
- 48:55Kush, but the message really was for Judah.
- 48:58God was vividly warning King Hezekiah about what would happen
- 49:03if Judah joined in an alliance with Egypt against Assyria and
- 49:08that's found in chapter 30 verses one through 5 and chapter
- 49:1431 verse one. Once again we see one of Isaiah
- 49:18key things. God wanted his people to trust
- 49:22in him rather than in foreign allies.
- 49:26And that's the end of chapters 19 and 20.
- 49:29So we can all to learn something from this too, is that we
- 49:34should, in our day-to-day lives, we should trust God with
- 49:36everything. God is the one we should go to
- 49:40and ask for him for guidance on absolutely everything in our
- 49:45life. And so remember that the next
- 49:48time you have a decision to make, and hopefully you'll come
- 49:51back for Chapter 21.
