- 0:56Speaker 2: Days all here with you today and this weekend in
- 1:00Speaker 2: LSU baseball will get started defending that national championship they
- 1:05Speaker 2: won a year ago. And I know a lot of
- 1:08Speaker 2: y'all listening are excited, and a lot of y'all will
- 1:10Speaker 2: be inside of Alec Box Stadium to watch the Tigers
- 1:13Speaker 2: take the field. We're gonna give you a little preview
- 1:16Speaker 2: here of what you can expect. So Alandra being our
- 1:21Speaker 2: baseball correspondent without a doubt, and somebody I would assume
- 1:25Speaker 2: is going to be in the box at some point
- 1:27Speaker 2: this weekend.
- 1:28Speaker 3: I'll definitely be out on Friday.
- 1:30Speaker 4: I would like to get out there Saturday and Sunday
- 1:32Speaker 4: as well, but we'll just see what happens.
- 1:34Speaker 3: But yeah, I cannot wait. I've been waiting since.
- 1:38Speaker 4: The patiently, very patiently, since like maybe the middle of
- 1:41Speaker 4: football season for LSU like LSU season was not.
- 1:45Speaker 2: They lost to Vanderbilt.
- 1:46Speaker 3: As soon as they lost to Vanderbilt, I'm not gonna lie.
- 1:49Speaker 4: I was checked out and ready for some LSU baseball
- 1:52Speaker 4: and who isn't because they are favorites to go back
- 1:55Speaker 4: to back this season.
- 1:57Speaker 3: And we were talking about it a little bit last week.
- 1:59Speaker 4: The quote unquote down year that Jay Johnson had was
- 2:03Speaker 4: making a regional like did we host it?
- 2:06Speaker 2: No, and.
- 2:09Speaker 4: That we almost won it, almost hosted the Super So
- 2:13Speaker 4: we know who Jay Johnson is, just relentless a winner,
- 2:17Speaker 4: like a true real winner, and like I could not
- 2:21Speaker 4: be happier that that's who we have at LSU, Like
- 2:24Speaker 4: we're truly blessed, like seriously to have j Johnson at LSU,
- 2:28Speaker 4: so very very excited. You mentioned that we do have
- 2:32Speaker 4: a lot of people returning, which is like a very
- 2:35Speaker 4: good and important core like Derek Curriele Stanfield, Jake Brown,
- 2:40Speaker 4: Like Jake Brown's been here for a while, so he's
- 2:43Speaker 4: like really a veteran and.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Feels like a big year for him to you kind
- 2:48Speaker 2: of put it all together, and.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Like you're right, he put it all together because he couldn't.
- 2:56Speaker 4: I don't think he was given opportunities, but he wasn't
- 2:59Speaker 4: given like a fool season ever to just like go
- 3:02Speaker 4: off and I think that he can make it happen,
- 3:05Speaker 4: and like he's been being developed under Jay Johnson, who
- 3:07Speaker 4: we know is great at.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Doing that with his players.
- 3:10Speaker 4: So excited to see what Jake Brown's gonna do for Catcher.
- 3:15Speaker 4: We're likely to see Kate Aaron Beatty had a huge fall.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Aaron Betdy somebody that you could see flashes last year
- 3:21Speaker 2: as a freshman, for.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Sure, especially on the offense, like I didn't. It was
- 3:25Speaker 3: like the offense was hit or miss and the defense
- 3:28Speaker 3: was as well.
- 3:29Speaker 4: But when he was on, he was on, Like I
- 3:33Speaker 4: from what I've heard about him through the fall, I'm
- 3:36Speaker 4: excited to see what Kate Aaron Beatty is going to
- 3:39Speaker 4: do this season. And then at first base, probably the
- 3:41Speaker 4: one I'm the most excited for, Big Poppy black York.
- 3:45Speaker 2: I known's the most excited about him as well.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Coming from Grand Canyon University, you know, Grand Canyon familiar
- 3:53Speaker 4: with their game, one.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Of the biggest student bodies of any college in America.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Pretty sure. Bryce Drew is the head basketball coach of Grand.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Campson, had no idea well, he had a three twenty
- 4:06Speaker 4: eight batting average in his career at Grand Canyon, thirty
- 4:09Speaker 4: two home runs and one hundred and fifty seven RBI.
- 4:12Speaker 4: But also he's a great first baseman, an ninety three
- 4:15Speaker 4: fielding percentage for him over there, So very excited to
- 4:18Speaker 4: see what Zach York can do. We love a big
- 4:20Speaker 4: body god around here, and his walk up song is
- 4:24Speaker 4: big Papa. I don't know what more you could ask.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Out of six in the program.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Was also a DH for a little bit too, So
- 4:33Speaker 4: if like, for some reason he's not going to play
- 4:35Speaker 4: first base, could probably DH.
- 4:37Speaker 2: A couple of biscuits away from three hundred, we can
- 4:40Speaker 2: get him there, I.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Say, here in Louisiana, like I could see him, yeah,
- 4:45Speaker 3: for sure.
- 4:47Speaker 4: And then at second base, you like, I don't know
- 4:50Speaker 4: from what I've been trying to read if they've definitively
- 4:53Speaker 4: said who's going to be the starting second baseman, but
- 4:56Speaker 4: I would expect Braydon Simpson coming from High Point twenty
- 5:00Speaker 4: two home runs in twenty twenty five. Set Dardar is
- 5:03Speaker 4: also another option that you might see there he is
- 5:06Speaker 4: coming from. Why can't I remember where he's from? I
- 5:11Speaker 4: can't remember, but maybe see set Dardar and obviously in
- 5:14Speaker 4: the right.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I think, yeah, darters from Kansas State.
- 5:19Speaker 5: The cover off the ball originally came.
- 5:23Speaker 2: From Vandil, Yeah, but then went to Kansas State.
- 5:26Speaker 3: You're right.
- 5:27Speaker 4: And then obviously we have Tanner Reed still that is
- 5:30Speaker 4: also in the mix for second base.
- 5:33Speaker 3: So I don't know for sure yet.
- 5:35Speaker 4: I don't know if it's been said, but from what
- 5:37Speaker 4: I've been seeing and hearing from Hunt, Brandon Simpson is
- 5:41Speaker 4: likely to be your starter there and shortstop needs no introduction.
- 5:45Speaker 4: We all love him, our favorite monster milam. I cannot
- 5:48Speaker 4: wait to see him again. He's got the OTB hour
- 5:51Speaker 4: two open as his walk up song. Yeah yeah, the
- 5:58Speaker 4: river's all wet for Steven.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Mile third base.
- 6:01Speaker 4: This might be I know, I'm like joking about Zach York,
- 6:05Speaker 4: but for real, like Trent Carraway, I might be the
- 6:09Speaker 4: most excited to see this season and see how he
- 6:13Speaker 4: does here at LSU, because he did great at Oregon State,
- 6:15Speaker 4: was the MVP of the Corvallis Regional, is number twenty
- 6:19Speaker 4: nine and D one's top fifty third baseman. So I
- 6:22Speaker 4: am very very excited to see Trent Carroway. Like, if
- 6:25Speaker 4: there's one that I'm looking for and looking out for.
- 6:28Speaker 3: It's to him.
- 6:29Speaker 4: I think he's set to have a great season. And
- 6:32Speaker 4: then what everybody is wondering about. Everybody's biggest question is
- 6:38Speaker 4: always the bullpen. It's deep, It's very deep. Cason Evans.
- 6:45Speaker 4: I know he was a like in the pen and
- 6:48Speaker 4: he would come out of the pen. But I feel
- 6:50Speaker 4: like he proved himself and it is very very very
- 6:54Speaker 4: likely to be.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Your Friday night starter.
- 6:58Speaker 4: You lose Kate Anderson and the Ians and obviously, but
- 7:01Speaker 4: Cason Evans stepped up in a huge way last season
- 7:04Speaker 4: out of the bullpen and the couple of times that
- 7:07Speaker 4: he was a starter. William Schmidt, if we remember him
- 7:11Speaker 4: from last season, he was like at the midweek starter
- 7:14Speaker 4: for a while, then he moved to.
- 7:16Speaker 2: It looked like he was about remember it looked like
- 7:18Speaker 2: he was about to take like a step and then never.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Time last year, Yeah, that was he mostly through in
- 7:25Speaker 4: the midweek, but he was in a week in the
- 7:27Speaker 4: week in rotation a couple of times.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Because remember we had Jay on big performance. He's like, yeah,
- 7:32Speaker 2: you might not see him on a weekday again. And
- 7:34Speaker 2: then he kind of went a little bit of a slump.
- 7:36Speaker 4: And but wack very high ceiling for William Schmidt, and
- 7:42Speaker 4: Hunt thinks that it's kind of his.
- 7:45Speaker 3: To his position to lose.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Yeah, so uh, look out for Cooper Moore though, if
- 7:53Speaker 4: it's not going to be William Schmidt. Cooper Moore is
- 7:56Speaker 4: coming from Kansas. He had a three ninety six e
- 7:59Speaker 4: r A in eighty eight appear or eighty eight innings,
- 8:03Speaker 4: so he is looking.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Also really good.
- 8:06Speaker 4: But I hear from what I've read and heard, William
- 8:10Speaker 4: Schmidt has made a he has fixed what was ailing
- 8:14Speaker 4: him last season. So I would expect maybe to see
- 8:17Speaker 4: William Schmidt in the starting week in rotation instead of
- 8:20Speaker 4: the midweek.
- 8:21Speaker 3: But if he does end up.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Losing that I would look to Cooper Moore to see
- 8:26Speaker 4: what he does. And then Cooper Williams is another starter
- 8:29Speaker 4: that you have an option for that was here last season.
- 8:32Speaker 2: And do we assume Zach Cowens is going to be
- 8:34Speaker 2: a bullpen even though he's got so much starting experience.
- 8:36Speaker 2: I think that's his role here.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Yeah, that's but he also does have it from Wafford.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Yeah, and he came like if y'all remember the Arkansas game,
- 8:44Speaker 4: it was not his fault at all that we were
- 8:47Speaker 4: down versus Arkansas, we had to make that comeback, like
- 8:50Speaker 4: even when he started and versus Arkansas he did.
- 8:53Speaker 2: His Oh what an incredible piece to have. To have
- 8:56Speaker 2: a veteran guy who's been through the fire before that
- 8:58Speaker 2: you can kind of put wherever and if he has
- 9:00Speaker 2: as a spot start, you can get i mean, very
- 9:03Speaker 2: quality innings, you know, even against a team like Arkansas.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Whenever he announced that he was coming back, I was
- 9:08Speaker 4: very excited about that because of what you just said,
- 9:10Speaker 4: like the experience. He did well in a starting role,
- 9:13Speaker 4: he does well out of the pin, and Nate Yesky
- 9:17Speaker 4: I'm sure has developed a couple of more pitches and
- 9:19Speaker 4: some movement with him.
- 9:20Speaker 3: So excited to see Zach Cowen.
- 9:23Speaker 4: And like I said, Trent Carraway might be the one
- 9:25Speaker 4: that I'm the most excited about.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Devin Sheeran's gonna be coming back as well.
- 9:29Speaker 4: He was out all last season from Mount Saint Mary's. Yeah,
- 9:33Speaker 4: had a torn acl so he was recovering from that
- 9:35Speaker 4: all last season. And we still have Maverick Rizzy, the
- 9:38Speaker 4: tallest person that I've ever seen, and DJ Primo is
- 9:41Speaker 4: still out there as well. So got a deep pin,
- 9:45Speaker 4: got some great options for weekend starters and midweek starters.
- 9:49Speaker 3: So I'm not saying that they're gonna go back to back,
- 9:54Speaker 3: but you.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Have a chance too, they really do.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Like objectively, LSU's in a really good position to go
- 10:01Speaker 4: back to back for the first time since nineteen ninety six.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Who is the last DJ Primo? You got some good names.
- 10:07Speaker 6: Good name, don't forget he's been out for about a
- 10:11Speaker 6: year and a half.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Butzy is a solid. It's such a good nobody's beating LSU. Yeah,
- 10:22Speaker 2: given name.
- 10:24Speaker 5: By the way, you were talking about him a little bit.
- 10:26Speaker 6: Jay Cooper Moore is going to start on this team
- 10:28Speaker 6: like he's he's going to start on this team seven
- 10:30Speaker 6: and three last year, Like he screamed Sunday to me.
- 10:33Speaker 6: Because he doesn't have overwhelming stuff, but he's just really,
- 10:36Speaker 6: really accurate.
- 10:37Speaker 5: And like with William Schmidt, if he can do.
- 10:38Speaker 6: What Ty Floyd did, the stuff's there if you can
- 10:41Speaker 6: get it under control, like you have a Friday Saturday
- 10:44Speaker 6: Sunday of Evans Schmidt Cooper Moore. You have an advantage
- 10:48Speaker 6: of everybody you played pretty much.
- 10:51Speaker 2: He has a lot of new names. I'm excited about
- 10:52Speaker 2: Trent Carroway's a good pool of lines. But that that's
- 10:54Speaker 2: somebody from Oregon State started on a Cultural Series team
- 10:58Speaker 2: and didn't have his best year, but still solid numbers
- 11:00Speaker 2: as far as showing the power. The average was down,
- 11:03Speaker 2: but uh, that's somebody that if he comes in knowing
- 11:06Speaker 2: what Jay Johnson, that staff's done with guys in the
- 11:09Speaker 2: past that have had that talent looking for maybe that
- 11:11Speaker 2: one last thing to propel them to being, you know,
- 11:15Speaker 2: a star in college baseball, he feels like somebody that
- 11:18Speaker 2: has that ability to him. So looking forward to seeing
- 11:20Speaker 2: how third base kind of plays out. You did mention
- 11:24Speaker 2: Seth Dardar coming over from Kansas State certainly going to
- 11:26Speaker 2: get a long look as well. Probably the thing I'm
- 11:29Speaker 2: most excited about though, is going to be, uh, you
- 11:32Speaker 2: know Jake Brown and can he become the superstar that
- 11:36Speaker 2: we know he has the ability to become. Like the
- 11:38Speaker 2: first two years to your point of laundre, like it's.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Been, he's been kind of like a little bit yeah.
- 11:46Speaker 2: You know against lefties, he's he's been out of the
- 11:48Speaker 2: lineup from time. This is a year where dot matter
- 11:50Speaker 2: who's on the mount, like, Jake Brown's got to deliver.
- 11:52Speaker 2: He is fully he's got the talent to do it.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Yeah, he's going to fully be in the lineup, fully
- 11:56Speaker 4: going to be out in right field.
- 11:59Speaker 3: So I'm excited for Jake Brown.
- 12:03Speaker 4: But everybody always talks about like how we always are
- 12:10Speaker 4: looking for a Sunday guy. Yeah, I feel like you
- 12:13Speaker 4: might have like but every team is like that. Obviously,
- 12:15Speaker 4: your Sunday starter is not going to be as good
- 12:17Speaker 4: as your Friday guy and your Saturday guy. But it's
- 12:22Speaker 4: almost like, I love the way this bullpen is shaping
- 12:24Speaker 4: up well.
- 12:24Speaker 2: When you're talking about Sundays, it is almost like you
- 12:27Speaker 2: do have a lot of options. But then it becomes
- 12:30Speaker 2: a question like let's say that Zach Callan becomes like
- 12:35Speaker 2: an option where you need somebody to stabilize Sunday, Like
- 12:39Speaker 2: is it worth it having him on Sundays in that
- 12:41Speaker 2: role or is it worth having him to give you
- 12:43Speaker 2: extended innings like he did so many times last year,
- 12:46Speaker 2: Like those are conversations you have to have.
- 12:48Speaker 6: Conversation we had a year ago, We had this conversation
- 12:51Speaker 6: with Evan.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Did he start Landra in the rotation last year at
- 12:55Speaker 2: the beginning?
- 12:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I think for a little bit, and then he
- 12:59Speaker 4: got turned into like the middle.
- 13:00Speaker 3: But I can't remember if he did at the beginning
- 13:03Speaker 3: of the season.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Or a lot, to be honest, but a long time ago.
- 13:06Speaker 4: I think Jay has proved that he'll put him where
- 13:09Speaker 4: he needs them to be, like with caseon Evans last
- 13:12Speaker 4: season and with.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Zach Cowen last season.
- 13:14Speaker 4: So to answer your question, I think it's just kind
- 13:17Speaker 4: of like, let's see what happens. And I'm not saying
- 13:21Speaker 4: like we're Friday night or Friday afternoon, We're gonna go
- 13:24Speaker 4: out to the box and Case and Evan is Case
- 13:26Speaker 4: and Evan is gonna be out on the mountain, Like
- 13:29Speaker 4: I don't know that for a fact. I'm just going
- 13:31Speaker 4: off of who was I mean, yeah, who was super
- 13:35Speaker 4: clutch last season?
- 13:36Speaker 3: Like I don't and then like I don't know the
- 13:39Speaker 3: rotation for a fact. That's just my prediction.
- 13:41Speaker 2: But how about a name that is on this team
- 13:45Speaker 2: that's been here forever, went through injury last year, but
- 13:50Speaker 2: it's been a big piece of a national championship team,
- 13:52Speaker 2: Gavin Gidgriy.
- 13:53Speaker 5: He's been out for a year and a half.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I feel like I haven't seen or I mean, obviously
- 13:57Speaker 2: because last year it was the old he's hurt. Yeah,
- 14:00Speaker 2: we don't really know. Maybe a couple of weeks and
- 14:02Speaker 2: then turned into the entire year. Like obviously, like it
- 14:06Speaker 2: sound sounds bad, I don't mean you can't count on him,
- 14:09Speaker 2: and I mean that because of the injury history and
- 14:11Speaker 2: like you just you never know. But that's something that
- 14:14Speaker 2: has been He closed out of national championship already in
- 14:17Speaker 2: his career. So if you get something from Gavin Guidry
- 14:20Speaker 2: that's close to what he gave you early in his career.
- 14:23Speaker 3: For sure, he was nails as a closer. Yes, Psycho
- 14:26Speaker 3: in speaks.
- 14:27Speaker 6: It speaks to the depth of the bullpen, right like
- 14:29Speaker 6: she brought up Devins shere in a few minutes ago.
- 14:31Speaker 6: People forget about him because he was hurt all last year.
- 14:33Speaker 6: Davin Guidry has been hurt a year and a half. Like,
- 14:35Speaker 6: these are two guys that could be potentially two of
- 14:38Speaker 6: your best arms out of the bullpen that people just
- 14:40Speaker 6: kind of forgot about because of injury. Like, if those
- 14:42Speaker 6: two guys emerge, you can do anything you want, right mat.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Hell, yeah, we're just schooling him.
- 14:50Speaker 7: He's We're gonna as long as we leave the country
- 14:52Speaker 7: and dingers and suicide.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Squeezes, I'll be happy. Boy.
- 15:00Speaker 7: You have to be successful, just want the attempts. It's exciting.
- 15:02Speaker 7: One of the most exciting plays in sport.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Suicide squeeze absolutely enteringer, especially when Lynn Rollins is on
- 15:10Speaker 4: the call.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Oh, there's nothing better than a midnight.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Home run with Lynn Rawls, especially one like walk off
- 15:21Speaker 2: like Barry Jones.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Hit we walk off Tennessee. Shut up.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, this is the year? What the year?
- 15:29Speaker 7: This is the year that I get locked in, not
- 15:33Speaker 7: just for like a postseason run, because I just took
- 15:35Speaker 7: a new job talking about sports. That is where we
- 15:38Speaker 7: get locked in.
- 15:41Speaker 2: So you're just soaking in all that information here in
- 15:43Speaker 2: that second in Okay, uh, all right, I know we've
- 15:46Speaker 2: talked about a thousand names, and that's that's what it
- 15:48Speaker 2: feels like. LSU has. Jaden Newton also gave you some
- 15:52Speaker 2: some big moments last year when he had to That's
- 15:55Speaker 2: another player that coming out of high school if you remember,
- 15:58Speaker 2: incredibly highly rated and you can see flashes of the stuff.
- 16:02Speaker 2: That's somebody to pay attention to maybe continuing to elevate
- 16:06Speaker 2: and being a part of this team in a big way.
- 16:08Speaker 4: So I just went to go look at it because
- 16:10Speaker 4: I truly could not remember Cowen was he didn't start
- 16:16Speaker 4: until I mean he started at Watford, but he didn't
- 16:19Speaker 4: start until like the tournaments later on in the season.
- 16:22Speaker 2: I could remember if there was like three or three
- 16:24Speaker 2: weekends whereas see.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Too, because I kind of wanted him to be this.
- 16:29Speaker 2: I think we did. I think it's what we're trying
- 16:31Speaker 2: to will him to be in there. But I guess
- 16:33Speaker 2: J Johnson knowsley.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Rewriting history in my own head exactly. Yeah, I guess
- 16:37Speaker 3: I should like just listen to Ja.
- 16:40Speaker 2: We'll have Jay on later in the week to give
- 16:42Speaker 2: you a preview as well, and we'll continue to talk
- 16:44Speaker 2: LSU baseball. And when we come back here, nice Jabalanze,
- 16:48Speaker 2: you appreciate that. When we come back here, we'll do
- 16:50Speaker 2: a little OTB mail bags, So go ahead and get
- 16:53Speaker 2: your questions inside to buy you four to chat. We'll
- 16:55Speaker 2: get to as many as we can in the next segment.
- 16:58Speaker 2: We'll do it right here on OTB live from the
- 17:00Speaker 2: Raisin Kine studio.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 17:03Speaker 2: All right, when it comes to your money, you want
- 17:05Speaker 2: a bank that actually knows your name, not just your

- 19:42Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I was. I think I nailed it.
- 19:46Speaker 4: I think I don't even know if we hit four.
- 19:51Speaker 2: It was about dingers and suicides squeezes. Yeah, that's what's.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Hey, Jay loved your suicide squeeze question.
- 19:59Speaker 2: He really did.
- 20:00Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, what did you get he went from
- 20:02Speaker 7: calling it a safety squeeze.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah, wow, you know I'm just telling you now.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Jay's probably gonna come on on Thursday. Yeah, I'll be
- 20:12Speaker 2: locked down. So put it in your calendar the questions
- 20:15Speaker 2: I think schemes will do this year.
- 20:21Speaker 4: I'm trying to like, I want to go back to
- 20:23Speaker 4: the safety squeeze thing real quick.
- 20:27Speaker 3: What did you say?
- 20:28Speaker 2: What? Like?
- 20:28Speaker 3: For real? Because I wasn't paying attention.
- 20:30Speaker 4: I'm trying to figure out if you think safety squeeze
- 20:31Speaker 4: and suicide squeeze the same thing.
- 20:33Speaker 2: No, I know the difference. Okay, okay, a little bit.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Sorry. I was trying to like, I'm being for real.
- 20:39Speaker 7: I assuming he doesn't safety he didn't go until.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Suicide. You're running immediately. Oh yeah, that's what we want. Okay,
- 20:52Speaker 2: you got it? Oh yeah, you're good. All right. I
- 20:56Speaker 2: love small Ball Long Beach State their bags. All right,
- 21:00Speaker 2: let's go to little OTB mailbag. I help this special
- 21:04Speaker 2: delivery for the bench and look it is marked most urgent.
- 21:07Speaker 2: I'll be writing to you the internet. What the is
- 21:11Speaker 2: the internet? All right? Hashtag OTB mailbag favorite Kingcake flavor?
- 21:25Speaker 2: And where is it from?
- 21:27Speaker 5: I'm not piggy on where you're from. I love a
- 21:29Speaker 5: strawberry cream cheese.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Strawberry cream cheese. Okay, Matthew, where's your favorite cinnamon king
- 21:34Speaker 2: cake from? Well, the East? Amount of people I like.
- 21:38Speaker 2: I like cinnamon as well, so I'm not hating on you.
- 21:40Speaker 2: That's Taylor one we got this year. Dong pong. Okay, Uh,
- 21:45Speaker 2: there's another one I got out.
- 21:46Speaker 7: Of New Orleans that was really good. I'll think of
- 21:52Speaker 7: the name Razes or something like that.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that was good.
- 21:57Speaker 3: I've never even had it. I knew the name.
- 21:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I've had it, But a Landram I would say
- 22:05Speaker 4: a cream cheese one.
- 22:07Speaker 3: I don't. I guess oak Point. I don't venture out
- 22:11Speaker 3: on like.
- 22:11Speaker 5: King cakes a lot.
- 22:14Speaker 2: I'll be honest with you.
- 22:15Speaker 3: All the good ones are also New Orleans, so I'm
- 22:17Speaker 3: not gonna go like all.
- 22:18Speaker 2: The and there's some really good ones here, but I
- 22:21Speaker 2: mean famously New Orleans. I'm gonna be honest. I'm not
- 22:23Speaker 2: like a king cake snob. As long as it's not
- 22:25Speaker 2: dry either. As long as it's not dry, I'm good
- 22:28Speaker 2: to get that.
- 22:29Speaker 5: That's why I don't eat the plain cinnamon.
- 22:31Speaker 2: But I've had plain cinnamon that's not dry.
- 22:33Speaker 6: I just I look at a plane cinnamon king cake
- 22:36Speaker 6: and says, yeah, I just look at a plain cinnamon
- 22:41Speaker 6: king cake, and I'm like, it's a crappy cinnamon rule.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Okay, I think it's the same thing as a cinnamon rule. Here,
- 22:47Speaker 2: it takes icing on it.
- 22:49Speaker 7: I will realized, like really as a when family that
- 22:54Speaker 7: like we like a kin cake, but we don't love
- 22:58Speaker 7: a kink cake. And that's a hot take, and that's
- 23:01Speaker 7: not a great thing to say. In South Louisiana, Like
- 23:04Speaker 7: we always get a king cake. We go, we do
- 23:06Speaker 7: the thing, we get the kink we get like we
- 23:08Speaker 7: we wait in line, we put our name in the
- 23:10Speaker 7: waiting lists and all that stuff, and we get it
- 23:12Speaker 7: and we enjoy a piece. Yeah maybe for two days,
- 23:14Speaker 7: maybe two pieces total, but like my kids never finish them,
- 23:18Speaker 7: like they're slice I eat like one or two slices
- 23:21Speaker 7: and then the half of it just.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Sits there for two weeks. And I would say, I'm
- 23:24Speaker 2: the biggest fan of the king cakes in my home. Yeah,
- 23:26Speaker 2: and I know that is not a great thing. It's
- 23:29Speaker 2: not a great look for us.
- 23:31Speaker 6: I don't I don't think that's necessarily a hot take.
- 23:33Speaker 6: It's like they're good I always look at a king
- 23:36Speaker 6: Cake and I'm like, if these were available year round,
- 23:38Speaker 6: would people like them as much?
- 23:39Speaker 2: Right? Like?
- 23:40Speaker 5: I wouldn't.
- 23:40Speaker 2: I mean, they're delicious, don't give it. But it's just
- 23:44Speaker 2: like anything, especially when you hit the forty age, like
- 23:47Speaker 2: you weigh the pros and cons of every bite you take?
- 23:49Speaker 2: How bad don't want to feel? I want to burp?
- 23:51Speaker 2: How bad you on it? And what are you willing
- 23:53Speaker 2: to sacrifice to achieve it? And if I'm going to
- 23:56Speaker 2: intake this, is there anything else I'd prefer to have
- 23:58Speaker 2: over it? Right now? Yeah? I said that situation. Yeah,
- 24:03Speaker 2: my problem is I would have like a piece of
- 24:04Speaker 2: Kingcake for dinner over like something salty. Yeah, sure, you're
- 24:07Speaker 2: real sweets, I am, You're a sweet guy. I'm more
- 24:09Speaker 2: of a savory dude. Uh. Let's see. I had to
- 24:15Speaker 2: go hashtag OTV mailbag. If y'all four were an infield,
- 24:19Speaker 2: name the positions. I got this easy, It's not even hard.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Flenn's the shortstop, I'm the third basement, Alanda's first base,
- 24:25Speaker 2: and Taylor's second. Pretty easy. Strong about that?
- 24:30Speaker 3: I could play either corner.
- 24:31Speaker 6: Yeah, if I if I, if I screw up, though
- 24:34Speaker 6: ironically only infield position.
- 24:36Speaker 5: I never played with second.
- 24:37Speaker 2: I don't know. I feel like Flenn's got to be
- 24:39Speaker 2: the shortstop. You get the best arm. I think me
- 24:42Speaker 2: and Alandra could both play both corner positions. Yeah, I'm
- 24:45Speaker 2: gonna go with her. I bet she's got more flexibility,
- 24:48Speaker 2: probably at first than I do.
- 24:48Speaker 3: I'm not Maybe I'm not that flexible.
- 24:52Speaker 2: That wretch is not gonna be something that's gonna be great.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Uh And Tayay's probably got quick feet, so we gonna
- 24:57Speaker 2: put him. Do feel like you nailed that?
- 24:59Speaker 7: Me and Taylor can turn to me and double played,
- 25:02Speaker 7: And if the coach asked me to shift, I'm gonna
- 25:04Speaker 7: call him number.
- 25:04Speaker 2: One real quick. Nah on this side, although Shift played
- 25:12Speaker 2: a lot of second in my in my life, I
- 25:13Speaker 2: played second for our inter Real softball team. Yeah, I
- 25:17Speaker 2: caught for a little bit. Flynn played rover on our
- 25:19Speaker 2: inter Real sophomore Oh yeah, short style.
- 25:23Speaker 7: I was the short stop grown up, but I wasn't
- 25:25Speaker 7: gonna I probably wasn't playing over Joe.
- 25:28Speaker 2: So we we've told this story before, But we had
- 25:30Speaker 2: Joe Lawrence on our who played football LU but he
- 25:32Speaker 2: played Major League baseball before that, and he was on
- 25:35Speaker 2: our in real softball team, and I'll never forget him
- 25:38Speaker 2: and I turned like a double play in the real softball,
- 25:41Speaker 2: and the other team is like pretty much protesting that.
- 25:44Speaker 2: We yeah, like, he's an l U student. This is softball,
- 25:48Speaker 2: not baseball, so yeah he can play yep. And then
- 25:53Speaker 2: affording a footbomb and they why they ended up rolling
- 25:56Speaker 2: out the illegal bats on us. Yeah, that's all reason
- 26:00Speaker 2: we lost.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Yeah, the top o torpedo bats.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Those we played like one game. I was in the outfield.
- 26:08Speaker 2: This is pretty deep fields and these guys were playing
- 26:10Speaker 2: the guys that worked at the inner Mualle fields. Yea.
- 26:12Speaker 2: In the championship game, they had these bats and I'm
- 26:14Speaker 2: sitting there on the fence watching this ball travel about
- 26:17Speaker 2: fifty feet ahead of me, and I can hear it
- 26:19Speaker 2: just going. Yeah, I remember they hit one, and I
- 26:23Speaker 2: remember you just going. I was just I just heard
- 26:28Speaker 2: they could hit the sorority houses, hit the Coyo house. Yeah.
- 26:33Speaker 4: I caught a little bit when I was playing before
- 26:36Speaker 4: high school, and then my freshman year of high school,
- 26:39Speaker 4: I caught yeah.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Yeah, but in softball, you like sloping softball, Yeah, we
- 26:43Speaker 2: put Peter Daikowski back.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I would say I'll say catching was not
- 26:48Speaker 4: my It was not my I liked it. It was
- 26:52Speaker 4: not my strong suit. Yeah, I love the throwdowns. That
- 26:56Speaker 4: was my favorite.
- 27:00Speaker 2: All right, let's see Hasha go to e mail bag.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Have y'all drove a stick shift vehicle? And I'm so
- 27:10Speaker 2: why was it? I drove a Porsche nine four four.
- 27:14Speaker 6: My dad had a uh nineteen seventy dark red Firebird,
- 27:19Speaker 6: and that's how I learned how to drive stick shift.
- 27:21Speaker 6: Doesn't have it anymore. Uh, somebody ran into the back
- 27:24Speaker 6: of him minute total bit. He hated that, but uh, yeah,
- 27:29Speaker 6: I learned a little bit. I mean, it's it's been
- 27:31Speaker 6: a long time. I'd probably be pretty rough at it.
- 27:33Speaker 6: But he told me a little bit on that.
- 27:37Speaker 7: Lacey had a Mini Cooper when she was in college,
- 27:42Speaker 7: and I learned on that. She taught me actually in
- 27:46Speaker 7: the parking lot, like behind the old alex Box Stadium
- 27:51Speaker 7: because we were going to Italy or like our honeymoon
- 27:55Speaker 7: or something. Yeah, I can't remember that. I probably need
- 27:58Speaker 7: to learn. Yeah, well earned a little bit. Definitely stalled
- 28:02Speaker 7: out on some roundabouts in Italy.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Freaked out even if you know how to do it,
- 28:06Speaker 2: like sometimes if you cause I grew up like knowing
- 28:10Speaker 2: how to do it. And I kind of like one
- 28:11Speaker 2: of the first cars I drove was we was called
- 28:13Speaker 2: a standard, don't know, stick shift, I know it's another
- 28:16Speaker 2: way to say it, but we caught it a standard
- 28:17Speaker 2: and that's how I learned. And I remember I was
- 28:20Speaker 2: moving in college and I had to borrow Sewn Jordan's truck.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Who it was a stick shift, Like that's what it was,
- 28:25Speaker 2: and that's what he always drove. And you get it.
- 28:29Speaker 2: You getting all of a sudden, you don't. It's like
- 28:31Speaker 2: you're stalling out. You like, oh god, yeah, start.
- 28:34Speaker 7: It's like I didn't know how hilly Baton Rouge was,
- 28:37Speaker 7: so I started driving that stick shift around. It's being sarcastics.
- 28:41Speaker 7: It's not hills, but see any kind of incline. I was,
- 28:45Speaker 7: But I did drive a stick shift. I went to
- 28:47Speaker 7: an event in Talladega where I.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Drove a NASCAR stick shift. I was going like one
- 28:54Speaker 2: seventy baby left turn, left turn, left turn. It's awesome. Hey,
- 29:01Speaker 2: I'm gonna go turn. The South Park episode.
- 29:05Speaker 4: Great question in the chat here, Okay, would Matt keep
- 29:07Speaker 4: his hazards on.
- 29:08Speaker 3: While driving a stick in an empty parking lot?
- 29:11Speaker 2: Potentially because it is a hazard.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it is a hazard.
- 29:14Speaker 7: Yeah, this morning we had low skies pilot talk right,
- 29:19Speaker 7: there a lot of fog this morning.
- 29:21Speaker 2: It was nearly it was nearly hazard lights weather. I
- 29:28Speaker 2: couldn't see anything.
- 29:31Speaker 3: This might be your worst take.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Got some now, I mean we all do, but.
- 29:40Speaker 3: He but his the hazard's one. I can't think of
- 29:45Speaker 3: one that I'm.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Like, Okay, I saw somebody on Interstate with other hazard
- 29:48Speaker 2: because it was like, no, it wasn't even on Interstate.
- 29:50Speaker 5: It was like we were like, I got you.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it was on the regular. It was on the
- 29:54Speaker 2: regular rids before Interstate and that like it was real foggy.
- 29:57Speaker 2: I could barely see in front of you this morning,
- 30:00Speaker 2: but he had his hazards on and I was just
- 30:02Speaker 2: he couldn't see me. But I tipped my captain, you
- 30:07Speaker 2: roll down the window, respect sir. Hashtag to be mill bag.
- 30:13Speaker 2: I'm taking my girlfriend to her first Nola Marti Girl
- 30:16Speaker 2: operade in Demian. And which restaurant to take her to
- 30:18Speaker 2: that is not Commander's Palace, Emeralds. I'm taking her to Jocks.
- 30:28Speaker 2: It depends on it depends on what I guess. Cuisine. Yeah,
- 30:31Speaker 2: that you're looking for Irenes like is Italian. But I
- 30:37Speaker 2: don't know, are you looking like free old food? Are
- 30:38Speaker 2: you looking for like classic New Orleans food? So Irene's
- 30:42Speaker 2: is Italian, got a little date night feel to it.
- 30:45Speaker 2: I mean, everywhere in the quarter is gonna be a
- 30:47Speaker 2: best show.
- 30:48Speaker 3: Who didn't even want to go eat over there?
- 30:51Speaker 6: First time I ever went to this restaurant was actually
- 30:53Speaker 6: because it was right where we were standing for in Demian.
- 30:55Speaker 6: The restaurant Luke very underrated in New Orleans. It's inside
- 30:59Speaker 6: the hill to on Saint Charles. Really close to wearing
- 31:02Speaker 6: Demian rolls. I've been a few times. Really good, like
- 31:04Speaker 6: they got traditional on New Orleans, but like you can
- 31:06Speaker 6: get really good burgers there. They go a little bit.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Everything fish is a little bit like that too. Like
- 31:09Speaker 2: I'm not saying it's like by by any means, like
- 31:11Speaker 2: oh my gosh, that's like the place you have to go,
- 31:14Speaker 2: but like it's it's good service, it's good food, it's consistent.
- 31:19Speaker 2: You can always count on it for like a quick,
- 31:20Speaker 2: easy lunch, right some breezy Yeah, if you want your
- 31:26Speaker 2: belly to be full. It's a great spot to go to.
- 31:28Speaker 2: It's good food. I'm just you know, a lot of
- 31:31Speaker 2: a lot of locals wouldn't go there. But if you're
- 31:33Speaker 2: coming from out of town, yeah, I mean, I mean
- 31:36Speaker 2: that in a very positive way. I like it. Good.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Good question, though, I've got a lot of questions coming
- 31:44Speaker 2: in today. All Right, one more because I can feel
- 31:47Speaker 2: that clock leaning on it. We can carry this over.
- 31:50Speaker 2: It's not how it works, they can. It's our show.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Yeah we can.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Well, yeah, we did get confirmation, by the way, I
- 31:59Speaker 2: just check my phone from Joe Lawrence. He said those
- 32:01Speaker 2: bats were absolutely illegal.
- 32:06Speaker 3: Joe Joe law law.
- 32:09Speaker 7: There's no way those guys are hitting farther than Kyle
- 32:11Speaker 7: Williams and Weldon Fromeyer.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. All right, come on, I haven't heard
- 32:19Speaker 2: that name in twenty years. You're welcome. Kyle Williams did
- 32:25Speaker 2: hit tanks though, Yep, we had. We had a former
- 32:30Speaker 2: l s U great that told us he was really
- 32:34Speaker 2: good at baseball, and he had leadoff four us because
- 32:36Speaker 2: he told us how good he was, and he went
- 32:37Speaker 2: to a very very very very good baseball program school
- 32:41Speaker 2: in Louisiana, and you're two thousand and three. He quickly
- 32:47Speaker 2: went down the lineup. Yep, way down your two thousand
- 32:51Speaker 2: three Sugar Bowl MVP yeah, way down. I took over
- 32:59Speaker 2: the lead off two out. I only hit one, though
- 33:06Speaker 2: I felt like you hit more. I only hit I remember,
- 33:07Speaker 2: I only hit one one bomb. I was like single
- 33:11Speaker 2: double specialists. I mean now didn't hit a bomb? Yeah,
- 33:14Speaker 2: me too.
- 33:15Speaker 7: I don't know, but you are looking at two times
- 33:19Speaker 7: Green Bay Packer Charity Softball. I believe im run derby champion,
- 33:23Speaker 7: right YW.
- 33:24Speaker 2: I believe you. Matt was always like kind of like
- 33:28Speaker 2: the looked like he was like swinging an axe. And
- 33:30Speaker 2: he get that top spin on it in a good way.
- 33:33Speaker 2: It's not like a not like you swung down on
- 33:35Speaker 2: the ball. You get that top spin. Remember I nearly
- 33:37Speaker 2: took Austin Bain's head off that a couple of years ago.
- 33:39Speaker 2: You almost did. But who won that game? Though I
- 33:41Speaker 2: don't remember we did, we did blame. Now bring to
- 33:46Speaker 2: b S all right, we'll take a break. We appreciate
- 33:50Speaker 2: that there's some really good one still in there. Maybe
- 33:52Speaker 2: we find our way back to some of those questions
- 33:54Speaker 2: more ot B when we come back here live from
- 33:56Speaker 2: the Raisin Kine Studio to the bench. All right, go
- 34:00Speaker 2: to gcop neet dot com. That is a website for
- 34:03Speaker 2: golf Coast Office Products. They are your leader in office solutions.
- 34:08Speaker 2: I mean that's why every single year, like whenever the
- 34:10Speaker 2: business report comes out, you don't even really have to
- 34:12Speaker 2: look at it, like we know who's going to be
- 34:14Speaker 2: number one. It's always going to be Golf Coast Office Products.
- 34:17Speaker 2: And that's in Baton Rouge, that's in Lafayette, that's in Mandeville,
- 34:21Speaker 2: that's in New Orleans. They have got the state covered.
- 34:23Speaker 2: And that's why your favorite team trust them. The Saints,
- 34:25Speaker 2: the Pelicans, the Tigers, the Raging Cajuns, and they are
- 34:30Speaker 2: really the only go to source. If you are in
- 34:33Speaker 2: a law firm, if you're in an engineering firm, if
- 34:35Speaker 2: you are a bank, a university, and you know that
- 34:38Speaker 2: documents are going to be your lifeline, well that lifeline
- 34:41Speaker 2: is always going to be supported by Golf Coast Office Products.
- 34:44Speaker 2: It's right, Golf Coast Office Products.
- 34:46Speaker 7: You you know that that paper trail at your office
- 34:49Speaker 7: is really the lifeline of how a whole office operates.
- 34:52Speaker 7: And when that technology goes down, well the office cannot
- 34:55Speaker 7: work at full capacity. You don't get the most bang
- 34:58Speaker 7: for your buck rut there off. So whatever the size is,
- 35:01Speaker 7: make sure g C O P Net is taking care
- 35:03Speaker 7: of your gc op net dot com.
- 35:22Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves. Gets off the
- 35:24Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn spoken to be broken.
- 36:33Speaker 2: What's a trivia? Just remade? What's a mean? And I
- 36:42Speaker 2: guess the boy I'll ever wanted was a high school?
- 36:50Speaker 2: Does scisim? A right? Yeah? You're right? Hell yeah? Yeah, okay,
- 36:56Speaker 2: all right? Maybe maybe two what do we call that
- 36:59Speaker 2: luanda in Spanish? What we call it two dose? Yeah?
- 37:02Speaker 2: We call that going for dose. That's exactly right, well done.
- 37:05Speaker 2: So if you're looking for a good time, a great time,
- 37:07Speaker 2: if you're looking to kick your feet up, if you're
- 37:10Speaker 2: tailgating in the parking lot of a certain baseball series
- 37:12Speaker 2: coming up this weekend, the only way that you need
- 37:14Speaker 2: to do it is going for dose. And maybe maybe
- 37:17Speaker 2: you go past dose. I don't know. That's up to
- 37:19Speaker 2: you responsibly, of course. But decision feels like a great time,
- 37:24Speaker 2: as it always is. What's the sound effect you like
- 37:26Speaker 2: to make to do that in the parking lot getting
- 37:30Speaker 2: ready for the Tigers in the box this weekend. It's
- 37:35Speaker 2: true too, It's very true. Oh man, I'm gonna have
- 37:40Speaker 2: some do mind right, get your mind right, your mind right.
- 37:45Speaker 4: Let me mentally prepare myself to go to Spanish Town
- 37:47Speaker 4: for the first time ever.
- 37:49Speaker 3: I'm getting ready.
- 37:51Speaker 2: If I've ever been to I don't think I've been
- 37:53Speaker 2: to Spanish Town.
- 37:54Speaker 5: It's from what I've never been either.
- 37:58Speaker 3: From what I've heard, it's a little out there.
- 38:00Speaker 6: Okay, Temup used to hate me well for multiple reasons,
- 38:04Speaker 6: but also, uh my parade take I'm just I don't
- 38:08Speaker 6: I don't get it.
- 38:09Speaker 5: Just not a parade.
- 38:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm really not too but I'm trying to.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Like just do it.
- 38:16Speaker 2: No, I mean, I love paride.
- 38:17Speaker 3: I think I'm just not a crowd person.
- 38:19Speaker 2: I don't even mind crowds. If the if like the
- 38:21Speaker 2: parking and like getting in and get out out situations,
- 38:24Speaker 2: not bad, I'm all good.
- 38:25Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the other part of it.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Parades are perfect, like a couple hours. They are what
- 38:32Speaker 2: you make them. You can get as wild or as
- 38:34Speaker 2: laid back as you want to. You're gonna be surrounded
- 38:37Speaker 2: by a lot of good friends outside fresh air, it's
- 38:41Speaker 2: a great time. It's getting in and out that's always
- 38:44Speaker 2: a little tricky. You gotta have a plan. No, we
- 38:51Speaker 2: don't do a lot of prades. Have you been in
- 38:53Speaker 2: Spanish down. I have not neither. I haven't done it.
- 38:55Speaker 7: We have done like a legit done a parade in
- 38:58Speaker 7: a while, and it's just time of life. Man, it's
- 39:03Speaker 7: a little challenge unless you have like a familiar with
- 39:05Speaker 7: with with kids.
- 39:06Speaker 2: It's like you look for the convenience setup, Like I know,
- 39:09Speaker 2: somebody there to have access to a bathroom if your
- 39:12Speaker 2: treasure injers you do, but we'll talk about that later. Yeah,
- 39:16Speaker 2: obviously this year expect to So basically you're saying like
- 39:21Speaker 2: you want everybody to do the work and you and
- 39:24Speaker 2: the flynt just come in and enjoy it. Well, I
- 39:27Speaker 2: mean somebody else I would want to be.
- 39:30Speaker 3: Yeah, that's how I would want.
- 39:31Speaker 2: To do see. Typically, so so my wife, I'm not
- 39:34Speaker 2: the one that puts all the things together. Now she
- 39:36Speaker 2: she's incredible and she enjoys that. Yeah, right, And so
- 39:40Speaker 2: like oftentimes we're we're not the people that get to
- 39:43Speaker 2: like and again by choice and design, like just walk
- 39:46Speaker 2: right in. Like Katie is a party planner and like,
- 39:49Speaker 2: like I said, super Bowl, we had fifty people at
- 39:51Speaker 2: our house. So like we're never, very rarely are we
- 39:57Speaker 2: in that where we get to just walk in. Now
- 39:59Speaker 2: when we go back to Marti girl in shreef board, Like,
- 40:02Speaker 2: my mom has a setup and she's got lots and
- 40:05Speaker 2: they kind of do everything, and it's kind of nice
- 40:06Speaker 2: to have that, you know, one time where we get
- 40:09Speaker 2: to just kind of like walk in and we get
- 40:11Speaker 2: a chance to just be a part of the setup.
- 40:13Speaker 2: So I get it. I understand it. I mean, but
- 40:16Speaker 2: the bathrooms, that's a big part. I want. I want
- 40:18Speaker 2: access to a bathroom. Yeah, well, if you're planning, we're
- 40:24Speaker 2: not parking a quarter all the way, hiking in with
- 40:26Speaker 2: the lawn chair strapped our back. We're not. I don't know,
- 40:28Speaker 2: We're don't do that right now. At least in this part.
- 40:30Speaker 2: The access to get there and get out is easy,
- 40:32Speaker 2: I'm okay. Like with a little walk, Yeah you got
- 40:35Speaker 2: to have a porter potty. I mean, walk is fine.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Get it like like with no plan, like, let's just
- 40:40Speaker 2: wing it. Let's go to pray and wing it. We're
- 40:42Speaker 2: not that No, no, me, neither our kids go to
- 40:46Speaker 2: again it's a bathroom sit like, our kids go to
- 40:48Speaker 2: the bathroom way too much. I say my kids. I
- 40:51Speaker 2: was about to say, yeah, absolutely means himself. It's a
- 40:55Speaker 2: hydration that the bladder of a ninety seven years. It's
- 40:58Speaker 2: an occupational hazard when you're rehydrated all the time. Mm hmm,
- 41:02Speaker 2: pee a little bit lander. Who you going with? Okay,
- 41:08Speaker 2: hoping to see anybody there. I know who's out there.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Depending who's out there, we'll see what happens on Sunday too.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Maybe to New Orleans?
- 41:16Speaker 5: Okay, Okay, your neighbor also, maybe.
- 41:19Speaker 2: You're all right, breade gal, Yeah a.
- 41:22Speaker 4: Suddenly, No, I've never been in Spanish.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Man, be careful driving to New Orleans because like we
- 41:32Speaker 2: were went to New Orleans this past weekend. We're going
- 41:34Speaker 2: to this We had a hotel that was kind of
- 41:35Speaker 2: over by the casino, right right across the street from
- 41:38Speaker 2: from the Hares, and we went. We got off on
- 41:39Speaker 2: the wrong Caesars. We got off on the wrong exit
- 41:45Speaker 2: on this side of Saint Charles, and it wasn't good.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Just like two and a half hours to get there.
- 41:51Speaker 2: I had I had to I had to reverse on
- 41:53Speaker 2: a one way road. How do you take your wrong exit? Well,
- 41:56Speaker 2: so the like like even ways. What I was looking for,
- 42:01Speaker 2: like the the easiest, fastest way to this hotel because
- 42:03Speaker 2: I knew Marty Girl's happening, and it got me off
- 42:05Speaker 2: on a different exit instead of taking me all the
- 42:07Speaker 2: way to Choppatulist. Yeah, like past Saint Charles. Because it
- 42:10Speaker 2: hadn't updated. I guess they had just closed the roads, now,
- 42:13Speaker 2: I gotcha, and ways hasn't hadn't like updated to it. Gotcha,
- 42:16Speaker 2: And it kept it telling me to turn. I'm like,
- 42:18Speaker 2: I can't turn, but I can't turn, Bud, come on, Ways,
- 42:20Speaker 2: you're getting turned off. So we had to make our
- 42:22Speaker 2: way back. It was just you know, yeah, it was rough,
- 42:25Speaker 2: so be careful, all right, make sure you check out
- 42:27Speaker 2: the parade route before you drive. When we come back,
- 42:32Speaker 2: there is a former LSU defensive starter, multiple year starter,
- 42:36Speaker 2: former number eighteen that is going to be a part
- 42:38Speaker 2: of Lane Kiffin's staff for LSU football. Will tell you
- 42:42Speaker 2: who that is when we come back here on TV.

- 44:10Speaker 2: All right, Welcome back in OTB here live from the
- 44:13Speaker 2: Raiz of Canes Studio. LTU Football makes a move to
- 44:18Speaker 2: bring back a former number eighteen. Former linebacker Greg penn
- 44:22Speaker 2: is going to join lane Kipp and staff as a
- 44:25Speaker 2: defensive analyst. So shout out to Greg Penn. I always
- 44:29Speaker 2: appreciated my conversations with him. Great football mind. I know
- 44:32Speaker 2: Blake Baker thinks a lot of Greg Penn. I remember
- 44:35Speaker 2: having those conversations with Blake whenever he came back from
- 44:39Speaker 2: Missouri and how excited he was to work with Greg Penn.
- 44:41Speaker 2: So shout out to Greg. Congratulations to Greg. And the
- 44:45Speaker 2: time you get a chance to have somebody like that,
- 44:47Speaker 2: you kind of know what Greg's all about to be
- 44:50Speaker 2: in that room kind of mentoring some of those young linebackers.
- 44:54Speaker 2: I think that's gonna be a great move for the staff.
- 44:56Speaker 2: And I always appreciate anytime you get a chance to
- 44:58Speaker 2: bring back former Tiger to be, you know, on the
- 45:01Speaker 2: staff here because I think we all know they're gonna
- 45:03Speaker 2: do whatever they can to obviously be successful for their career,
- 45:07Speaker 2: but also for their passion for their school. So God,
- 45:10Speaker 2: love it, love it, love it all. Just I just
- 45:13Speaker 2: like when former players come back and start their coaching
- 45:16Speaker 2: journey here, and we got a lot of good ones
- 45:18Speaker 2: out there following that coaching path right now, So get
- 45:24Speaker 2: on new lane. Love it. Don't still don't love the eighteen,
- 45:27Speaker 2: but whenever I knew that was coming, I was like
- 45:29Speaker 2: waiting for it. Over Big at fifteen two this year
- 45:34Speaker 2: is a probably kicker, probably a punter a little too exclusive.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Maybe the holder. It's also the punter. Yeah, the holder
- 45:42Speaker 2: always wears fifteen. That'd be fantastic. We'll be right up
- 45:45Speaker 2: your alley, all right, hour three, coming back off the bench,
