• 0:08
SPEAKER_00: I got some pretty intense rain at a couple points.
• 0:11
SPEAKER_00: In fact, there was one point West Elmira, which rarely do you hear was under a flash flood warning.
• 0:15
  SPEAKER_00: It was like okay.
• 0:16
SPEAKER_01: That's weird, because you guys are on a hill.
• 0:17
SPEAKER_00: Well well, yes, but all that water does run down.
• 0:20
SPEAKER_00: So it was a little crazy.
• 0:22
SPEAKER_01: So only Water Street on Water.
• 0:24
  SPEAKER_01: That's right.
• 0:25
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 0:25
SPEAKER_01: Everyone else, you're really fine.
• 0:27
  SPEAKER_01: You'll be okay.
• 0:28
  SPEAKER_01: You're gonna be okay.
• 0:29
SPEAKER_00: But we'll get up to about 81 today with the sun coming out.

SPEAKER_00: Now we got a stretch of great days.
• 0:32
SPEAKER_00: We've got today, tomorrow, Saturday, all good.
• 0:34
SPEAKER_00: Sunday, most of Sunday should be fine.
• 0:37
SPEAKER_00: Later, we might get some stuff coming through.
• 0:39
SPEAKER_00: Uh, I want to go to the text line, then I have something crazy.
• 0:42
SPEAKER_00: Since we were talking about neighbors, Tiffany just reminded me of this.
• 0:45
SPEAKER_00: Oh, you're gonna love this, but yet at the same time, it's creepy.
• 0:49
  SPEAKER_00: Drama?
• 0:50
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, you just know there was drama.
• 0:52
SPEAKER_01: We were just talking about my neighbors walking to work, one of them walking to Wegmans, another one walked from Wegmans, essentially Wegmans to South Corning, where she worked at one point.
• 1:03
SPEAKER_01: And it it just is wild to me that you would do that, especially January, February, March.
• 1:08
  SPEAKER_01: Oh no.
• 1:09
SPEAKER_01: Uh then Chad said, good everyone.
• 1:11
SPEAKER_01: Sometimes I miss public transportation.
• 1:12
SPEAKER_01: It was way cheaper than paying for two cars and full coverage insurance along with gas.
• 1:17
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's truth to that.
• 1:18
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, my brother hasn't owned a car in uh probably about 20 years.
• 1:22
SPEAKER_00: Again, though, lives in DC, way more accessible for both public transportation or Ubering or you know, ride share, whatever it is.
• 1:30
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:30
SPEAKER_00: You can get it's so different.
• 1:32
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I just don't want to put that into my schedule because I'm always late anyway.
• 1:36
SPEAKER_01: So the fact that I'd be anxiety.
• 1:38
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the fact that I would have to rely on even public transportation going down because that happened when I was in New York City last April.
• 1:45
SPEAKER_01: Not the not this April with Zach, but the April before when I was with my girlfriend.
• 1:49
SPEAKER_01: No, when I was with my dad, when I was with my dad.
• 1:51
SPEAKER_01: And the public transportation was down.
• 1:53
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, can you imagine if I was trying to go to work right now?
• 1:56
SPEAKER_01: Oh god, that'd be happening.
• 1:56
  SPEAKER_01: How sucky is that?
• 1:57
SPEAKER_00: Betty has a funny text.
• 1:59
SPEAKER_00: She goes, Hey, how was the meteor shower?
• 2:01
SPEAKER_00: I love the snarkiness because it was all storms last night.
• 2:04
SPEAKER_00: Even she said it would have been better without the cloud coverage.
• 2:07
SPEAKER_00: I told you guys nothing.
• 2:08
SPEAKER_01: I told you guys that yesterday because solar eclipse, meteor shower, we weren't gonna see any of it.
• 2:13
  SPEAKER_00: Not a thing.
• 2:14
  SPEAKER_01: Never do we.
• 2:15
SPEAKER_00: No, it was still dripping this morning.
• 2:16
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I thought this was gonna be out of here.
• 2:18
SPEAKER_01: I also love this vibe from 3490.
• 2:20
  SPEAKER_01: Good everyone happy pre-Friday.
• 2:22
  SPEAKER_00: Yes.
• 2:23
  SPEAKER_00: I'll take it.
• 2:23
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, for sure.
• 2:24
  SPEAKER_00: So listen to this.
• 2:25
  SPEAKER_00: Here we go.
• 2:27
SPEAKER_00: Wrong button, here we go.
• 2:30
  SPEAKER_00: Murder in West Elmira.
• 2:32
  SPEAKER_00: You're gonna love this.
• 2:33
SPEAKER_00: No, this this doesn't have to do with murder, but you be this is gonna hit the nosy side of Alley in a way you've never even imagined.
• 2:42
SPEAKER_00: So Tiffany has a provider that she works with who just recently bought a house.
• 2:46
SPEAKER_00: And I forget where they found, they were doing some kind of cleanup or renovations, and they found what looked to be like a book or a diary, if you will.
• 2:54
  SPEAKER_00: Oh.
• 2:55
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so they open up the book, the diary.
• 2:58
  SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
• 2:59
  SPEAKER_00: This thing.
• 3:00
SPEAKER_00: The journal, if you will.
• 3:01
  SPEAKER_00: The journal.
• 3:01
SPEAKER_00: This thing's dated back decades.
• 3:03
SPEAKER_00: We're talking like back to the 60s.
• 3:05
  SPEAKER_00: Nice.
• 3:06
SPEAKER_00: It is every detail about every neighbor in the neighborhood all the way back.
• 3:12
SPEAKER_00: From when Susie Muckinfuss had her first baby on July 28th, 1963, to uh the Smiths moved out in 19 uh 72, and the Joneses moved in, and they haven't mowed their lawn since.
• 3:28
SPEAKER_00: And it had all this commentary and all this information and all this dirt.
• 3:33
SPEAKER_00: And some of these people are so long gone from the neighborhood.
• 3:37
SPEAKER_01: The nosy neighbor thing has been alive since every sitcom from the 50s to now.
• 3:43
  SPEAKER_01: But this doesn't matter.
• 3:48
SPEAKER_00: I want you to think, if you live, okay, even though Doug goes, house snob Scott, all the houses in my neighborhood are rather large, but you have to realize that only allows me to have five houses around me.
• 3:59
  SPEAKER_00: There are people.
• 4:03
SPEAKER_00: Now there are people that live on a traditional street that have, you know, like me.
• 4:06
  SPEAKER_00: Yes, like me.
• 4:08
SPEAKER_00: So imagine somebody was sitting there and they had Oh, I would do it.
• 4:12
SPEAKER_00: The information gathering that was required at uh, you know, and then to go home and write everything out.
• 4:19
SPEAKER_00: And now they're questioning the new couple that the the new provider that, you know, bought it.
• 4:23
SPEAKER_00: They're like, should we keep it going?
• 4:25
SPEAKER_00: Like, what do we do?
• 4:26
  SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, you should.
• 4:28
  SPEAKER_01: Are you that nosy?
• 4:28
  SPEAKER_01: I'm that nosy.
• 4:30
SPEAKER_01: So I where I used to live, and this was um, oh gosh, two houses ago, me and the neighbors would always cabits about the other neighbors.
• 4:39
  SPEAKER_00: Well, that's that's a little more intimate.
• 4:41
  SPEAKER_00: It's one-on-one.
• 4:42
  SPEAKER_00: This is 12, 14 neighbors.
• 4:44
SPEAKER_00: You got every piece of dirt on it.
• 4:46
SPEAKER_01: But what I'm saying is we and and I still cabits with one of the neighbors, and I wish that I would have kept a little journal.
• 4:52
SPEAKER_01: You know, we had somebody significant in our neighborhood die.
• 4:55
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
• 4:56
SPEAKER_00: Which I mean, that that Oh, if this would have had the date, it would have had the cause of death.
• 5:00
  SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm saying.
• 5:01
SPEAKER_01: It would have had it all.
• 5:02
SPEAKER_01: For what reason to have that, I don't know.
• 5:05
SPEAKER_00: I don't know either, because it's not like way back, if you figure this started in the 60s, it's not like we really knew what Alzheimer's and anything was, and you were like, Well, I had to write this down so I'm not rude to my neighbors, and I if I bump into them, I will know what I'm doing.
• 5:18
SPEAKER_00: No, this is just this is Gladys Kravitz, if you remember bewitched.
• 5:22
SPEAKER_00: Because super nosy, curtain open.
• 5:25
  SPEAKER_00: Write it down, George.
• 5:26
SPEAKER_01: The whole write it down thing.
• 5:27
SPEAKER_01: That's what Sonya, Sonia used to work in a salon.
• 5:30
SPEAKER_01: Now she just owns her own waxing salon, but she used to work in a salon, and she had so many customers that she would write little notes down in their profile.
• 5:38
  SPEAKER_01: Okay, that makes sense.
• 5:40
  SPEAKER_01: Totally smart.
• 5:40
SPEAKER_01: Because then when they would come in, oh, how's you know, how's little baby junior?
• 5:45
SPEAKER_00: That on a business level and what she does makes total sense to me on this level.
• 5:49
SPEAKER_01: Because what is this level's a little creepy, but I'm I'm here for it.
• 5:52
  SPEAKER_01: I subscribe to it.
• 5:53
SPEAKER_00: I knew you were gonna be in on this.
• 5:55
SPEAKER_00: I would be a little I would be a little put off if all of a sudden they're like, oh, and it turns out over at the free residence, Lydia was born on 515 19.
• 6:04
SPEAKER_00: And then you think about things, there's certain things maybe you don't necessarily want to remember that happen around your house.
• 6:10
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 6:10
  SPEAKER_01: For sure.
• 6:11
SPEAKER_01: I mean, there might be somebody who leaves their their wife and goes gay or whatever.
• 6:15
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 6:15
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, it would be Richard in the diary.
