- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Telugu with Fexingo! I'm Lucas, and as always, I'm here with Luna. Luna: Hey everyone! So Lucas, last episode we did shopping at the market. I've been practicing my 'ఎంత?' and 'తగ్గించండి'. Lucas: That's great! Today, we're going to continue with numbers. We already learned one to five. Now we'll learn six to ten. Luna: Oh, perfect! I need those for bargaining at the market. Lucas: Exactly. So let's start with the number six. In Telugu, six is 'ఆరు'. Luna: ఆరు. That sounds like 'aaru'. Lucas: Right. Repeat after me: ఆరు. Luna: ఆరు. Lucas: Good. Now seven: 'ఏడు'. Luna: ఏడు. Like 'yedu'. Lucas: Yes. Your turn. Luna: ఏడు. Lucas: Perfect. Now eight: 'ఎనిమిది'. Luna: ఎనిమిది. That's a longer one. 'Enimidi'. Lucas: Yes. Repeat. Luna: ఎనిమిది. Lucas: Nice. Nine is 'తొమ్మిది'. Luna: తొమ్మిది. 'Tommidi'. Lucas: Exactly. Your turn. Luna: తొమ్మిది. Lucas: And finally, ten: 'పది'. Luna: పది. 'Padi'. Lucas: Yes. Say it. Luna: పది. Lucas: Excellent. Let's go through them all from six to ten. Repeat after me: ఆరు, ఏడు, ఎనిమిది, తొమ్మిది, పది. Lucas: Wow, you're a natural! Now let's put them in a sentence. Say 'I see six books' in Telugu. 'నేను ఆరు పుస్తకాలు చూశాను'. Luna: నేను ఆరు పుస్తకాలు చూశాను. That's 'nenu aaru pustakaalu choosanu'. Lucas: Perfect. Note that 'పుస్తకాలు' means 'books'. And 'చూశాను' means 'I saw' or 'I see'. Let's try another: 'I need ten rupees.' That's 'naaku padi roopayalu kaavaali'. I remember 'రూపాయలు' from the market episode! Lucas: Yes! Great memory. Now let's practice all the numbers again. I'll say a number, and you repeat. Six? Luna: ఆరు. Lucas: Seven? Luna: ఏడు. Lucas: Eight? Luna: ఎనిమిది. Lucas: Nine? Luna: తొమ్మిది. Lucas: Ten? Luna: పది. Lucas: You did it! Now imagine you're at a fruit stall. You want to buy six mangoes. How would you say 'I want six mangoes'? Remember, 'mango' is 'మామిడి పండు'. Luna: Umm... 'నాకు ఆరు మామిడి పండ్లు కావాలి'? Is that right? Lucas: Yes! 'నాకు ఆరు మామిడి పండ్లు కావాలి'. Perfect! You used the plural 'పండ్లు'. Luna: Oh, so 'పండు' becomes 'పండ్లు' for more than one? Like in English 'mango' to 'mangoes'. Lucas: Exactly. Let's count from six to ten one more time: ఆరు, ఏడు, ఎనిమిది, తొమ్మిది, పది. Luna: ఆరు, ఏడు, ఎనిమిది, తొమ్మిది, పది. Lucas: Lovely. Now you can count from one to ten in Telugu! Practice these numbers, and next time we'll learn how to say them in bigger quantities. Thanks for learning with Fexingo! Luna: Bye everyone! Practice your ఆరు to పది!
