A $243 million mixed-use development is moving forward in the town of Dyer’s Transit Development District. Gary/Chicago International Airport has completed a $24 million air cargo campus that can accommodate up to eight wide-body aircraft. The U.S. Department of Defense plans to install an advanced nuclear micro modular reactor at Naval Weapons Station Crane by September 2028.
