  Heavenly Father, as this day comes to an end,

  I come into your presence with a quiet heart.

  Thank you for carrying me through the hours that

  have passed, for the strength you gave me, for

  the moments of kindness I received, and for the

  protection I may not even have noticed. I lay

  down my worries, my unfinished tasks, my disappointments,

  and every thought that has made it difficult

  to rest. I do not have to solve everything before

  I sleep. I can place what I cannot control into

  your loving hands. You know what happened today.

  You saw the moments when I felt strong, and the

  moments when I felt overwhelmed. You heard the

  words I spoke, and the words I kept inside. You

  know the decisions I am proud of, the mistakes

  I regret, and the questions that still have no

  answers. Please forgive me, where I have acted

  encouragement for anyone who feels alone where

  pain they cannot explain. Meet them with courage.

  Their life has value. That their struggles do

  not make them unworthy of love. That one difficulty

  does not determine their whole future. If tears

  come, give them the courage to seek support.

  When the burden feels too heavy to give, from
