- 0:08Speaker 1: Whether it be at home or when you get to work,
- 0:10Speaker 1: we all sort of do the same thing every single day.
- 0:12Speaker 1: For some reason, I came in today and something threw
- 0:15Speaker 1: me off. And I did not go through my normal
- 0:17Speaker 1: checklist of things that I do here in the studio.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I think it's because when I walked in, when we moved,
- 0:23Speaker 1: a lot of stuff got left in the old building
- 0:25Speaker 1: or so we assumed.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Um yes or it got put in a closet here
- 0:30Speaker 2: and we didn't know where it got.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Put well a lot of that stuff just showed up
- 0:33Speaker 1: in our studio this morning a lot of.
- 0:36Speaker 3: It being the like we in the studio we have.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Had and now have i suppose because they're back in
- 0:42Speaker 2: the studio with us these very big cut out poster
- 0:46Speaker 2: boards of country artists a lot of them are signed
- 0:49Speaker 2: i don't there's probably what like 20?
- 0:53Speaker 3: Too many?
- 0:55Speaker 1: The Swan Brothers, which I don't know the last time
- 0:58Speaker 1: that they've put something out. Gary Allen.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Are staring at me currently.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Greg Morgan.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Very early on, Luke Bryan.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Montgomery Gentry.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Casey James. There was a couple Kelly Picklers.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Yeah, Kelly Pickler was heavy on the cardboard cutout signs
- 1:20Speaker 1: over here. So if you're a Kelly Pickler fan, we
- 1:23Speaker 1: might have something for you this morning.
- 1:26Speaker 4: We hope you're having a great day so far.
- 1:28Speaker 1: We've got $ 1, 000 in the New.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Country Cash Jackpot. No wonder yesterday we roll over the money.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Today, we also are getting you in spooky season because
- 1:36Speaker 1: it's October 1st, baby.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, that's right.
- 1:39Speaker 2: I feel like butterflies in my stomach hearing October because
- 1:43Speaker 2: I just love the fall so much.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Indy Scream Park tickets coming up 6.35, a chance for
- 1:47Speaker 3: you to win.

- 1:51Speaker 4: That is the latest from Blake Shelton. It's Annie and Cole.
- 1:55Speaker 1: We got to take a quick second before we get
- 1:57Speaker 1: into they did what to say.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Thank you so much, Preston Cooper.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Dude, he was awesome. He was so good.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I have several clips, which I was trying to get
- 2:07Speaker 1: just a couple of things posted last night before bed.
- 2:10Speaker 1: And there are a couple up on our Instagram stories
- 2:13Speaker 1: and Facebook and TikTok.
- 2:16Speaker 4: I just have clips.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I was like, I wanted to put a compilation of
- 2:18Speaker 1: just how he hits certain notes because he will just
- 2:22Speaker 1: be like all unassuming.
- 2:23Speaker 4: And then all of a sudden I just be like, whoa.
- 2:25Speaker 5: Yeah. Whoa.
- 2:27Speaker 3: So good.
- 2:28Speaker 4: We have another one coming up.
- 2:30Speaker 1: We got details about how you could be hanging out
- 2:32Speaker 1: with Corey Kent up close coming up.
- 2:36Speaker 3: They did what?
- 2:38Speaker 2: I feel like. There's sometimes food has like a moment,
- 2:42Speaker 2: like all of a sudden everyone.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Is putting spinach and everything or all of a sudden.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Don't tell me how much protein I need in my life.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Yeah. Like, you know what I mean? Like all of
- 2:51Speaker 3: a sudden this.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Food that we've always had access to now, like it's
- 2:54Speaker 2: in everything and it's everywhere.
- 2:57Speaker 3: I'm starting to feel that way.
- 2:58Speaker 2: This spooky season about candy corn. It's one of those
- 3:04Speaker 2: things that people kind of love to hate, right? But
- 3:08Speaker 2: then we heard about the candy corn beer that was
- 3:11Speaker 2: coming out. Well, Tombstone Pizza is offering limited editions of
- 3:16Speaker 2: their candy corn pizza. It's frozen pizza with packets of
- 3:22Speaker 2: candy corn to sprinkle on top.
- 3:25Speaker 5: Mm-mm.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Mm-mm.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes.
- 3:33Speaker 4: It is October 1st.
- 3:35Speaker 1: That means Halloween is right around the corner. And we
- 3:38Speaker 1: are getting the mood for spooky season.
- 3:40Speaker 4: It's Annie and Cole.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Four bag of tickets up for grabs for you today
- 3:44Speaker 2: to Indie Scream Park. If you can name that scream,
- 3:48Speaker 2: you're going to text your answer to us.
- 3:52Speaker 5: 317-663-9797.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Here is your scream this morning. What's your favorite scary movie?
- 3:57Speaker 5: I don't know. Scream.
- 4:03Speaker 4: That escalated quickly.
- 4:04Speaker 3: It did.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I also think there's a little part that we had
- 4:07Speaker 2: to censor out there. There was a whole lot of parts.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I still remember when that movie came out, everyone was
- 4:12Speaker 1: shocked that they killed off, spoiler alert, killed off Drew
- 4:17Speaker 1: Barrymore in the first scene.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Those are some good hints for you this morning. If
- 4:23Speaker 3: you could name that scream.
- 4:23Speaker 4: I'm trying to get you into Indie.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Scream Park tickets.
- 4:28Speaker 1: 317-663-9797.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Text your answer to us again.
- 4:30Speaker 2: 317-663-9797. What's your favorite scary movie?
- 4:35Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Well, good morning.
- 4:42Speaker 1: It's Annie and Cole, 97.1 Hank FM. It is our
- 4:45Speaker 1: favorite time of year.
- 4:46Speaker 4: Well, at least mine. Spooky season.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Is here.
- 4:50Speaker 1: We've made it to October 1st. We've got your Indie
- 4:52Speaker 1: Scream Podcast this morning.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Yeah, we do.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Just got to name that scream this morning.
- 4:56Speaker 5: 317-663-9797.
- 4:56Speaker 2: This was your scream. What's your favorite scary movie?
- 5:02Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 5:08Speaker 4: There's way too many of these movies now, by the way.
- 5:11Speaker 3: How many are there?
- 5:12Speaker 4: Too many. Did I watch the recent one?
- 5:16Speaker 3: I did.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Scream. Scream.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Yes.
- 5:18Speaker 2: I mean, that makes sense. I had to throw it
- 5:20Speaker 2: in there once. We're playing Name That Scream. There's got
- 5:23Speaker 2: to be at least one Scream movie.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Seven?
- 5:25Speaker 4: Feels like there's got to be more.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I think it says seven movies. in 2026, earlier this year, seven.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:34Speaker 4: I just feel like it feels like too many.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Congratulations to our winner today. Another chance for you to
- 5:39Speaker 3: win tomorrow morning with Annie and Cole on Hank FM.
- 5:42Speaker 4: I follow.
- 5:43Speaker 5: I like. I share.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Annie and Cole on Hank FM.
- 5:47Speaker 3: I don't see what you think about this.
- 5:49Speaker 2: It's like a modern non-smoking section. Will restaurants start doing
- 5:56Speaker 2: a no phones section? The idea is sometimes phones can
- 6:02Speaker 2: be disruptive to even the other people who are eating
- 6:05Speaker 2: there at the restaurant. Like maybe you're in a booth.
- 6:07Speaker 2: The person right behind you in a booth is watching
- 6:09Speaker 2: a video on full blast.
- 6:10Speaker 3: And you're like, I don't.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Want that is the person my parents age because those
- 6:14Speaker 1: are the people like it's either someone who's your parents
- 6:17Speaker 1: age or someone who's like four watching a video full
- 6:19Speaker 1: blast yeah so the rest of us get it the
- 6:22Speaker 1: idea is have you.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Ever used one of those phone lock things i think
- 6:25Speaker 2: sometimes like i've seen them used in schools now um
- 6:29Speaker 2: or i used it for a comedy show one time
- 6:32Speaker 2: i think it's when we saw john mulaney we had
- 6:35Speaker 2: to yeah put it in this like weird pocket thing
- 6:37Speaker 2: that locked And then at the end of the show,
- 6:39Speaker 2: you had to put it up into another magnet.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Thing and unlock to get your phone out.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I think that's a lot for a restaurant. Can we
- 6:47Speaker 1: just say, like, don't use your phone in public? Like,
- 6:52Speaker 1: I don't know when I do know when it's when
- 6:55Speaker 1: the old got phones. When we started because we all
- 7:01Speaker 1: people our age. I know we're 10 years apart, but
- 7:04Speaker 1: I put us in the same case. We're both millennials.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I'm an elder millennial, whatever they call us, geriatric. We
- 7:11Speaker 1: grew up with technology. We were the first sort of
- 7:15Speaker 1: crash course of what to do when you get this
- 7:17Speaker 1: stuff in your hands. And so I feel like we
- 7:20Speaker 1: are very aware of how we use it in public. I.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Literally never have the sound on on my phone.
- 7:28Speaker 2: No.
- 7:29Speaker 4: If my phone rings.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Yeah, it never rings. I'm like, why?
- 7:33Speaker 4: Why are you ringing?
- 7:34Speaker 2: So whenever we like are around somebody and their phone
- 7:39Speaker 2: rings with our dog, he.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Goes nuts because he's not used to hearing.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Yes.
- 7:43Speaker 3: He's like, who's here?
- 7:44Speaker 1: Also, when you're watching or listening to something, I either
- 7:47Speaker 1: have it with just the captions and I'm reading it
- 7:50Speaker 1: or or headphones.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Or headphones or I've got it.
- 7:54Speaker 2: So low that if you press the volume button one
- 7:58Speaker 2: more time, it will be completely mute.
- 7:59Speaker 3: And even then I'm like, oh, is this too loud?
- 8:02Speaker 5: Yes.
- 8:02Speaker 1: So I don't know if I need to lock my
- 8:04Speaker 1: phone in a box when I go to a restaurant,
- 8:06Speaker 1: but I do think we need to learn or maybe
- 8:09Speaker 1: relearn what to do when you're in public. I mean,
- 8:14Speaker 1: other people don't want to be a part of whatever
- 8:16Speaker 1: it is you have going on. I think we're all
- 8:18Speaker 1: just so consumed with ourselves that Anymore that we don't
- 8:22Speaker 1: realize how it's affecting everyone else around us.
- 8:25Speaker 5: Annie and Cole.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Text or give us a call. 317-663-9797. Hank FM. Good morning.
- 8:33Speaker 5: How are you?
- 8:34Speaker 3: We're doing good. How are you?
- 8:36Speaker 5: I am wonderful. Great.
- 8:38Speaker 1: So what do you think about this no phone section
- 8:42Speaker 1: in restaurants?
- 8:43Speaker 5: I just want to say, as someone who started working
- 8:48Speaker 5: in restaurants in the 80s, and ended up working in
- 8:54Speaker 5: restaurants until the 20s. It doesn't matter how old you are.
- 9:01Speaker 5: People are rude. They have no idea how to use
- 9:06Speaker 5: a phone. They will talk loud. They will play their
- 9:10Speaker 5: music loud. They don't care about anybody around them. It's
- 9:16Speaker 5: all about them. And it doesn't matter if they're young,
- 9:20Speaker 5: if they're old, if they can hear. If they can't hear,
- 9:23Speaker 5: it's just their world.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:27Speaker 1: What's it like, though, when you're working in an industry
- 9:30Speaker 1: like that and someone's... The thing that's just driving me crazy,
- 9:33Speaker 1: because I also worked in the restaurant business, is when
- 9:36Speaker 1: you're trying to take their order and they're on their phone.
- 9:40Speaker 4: And like, hold on one second. No, put the phone
- 9:42Speaker 4: down and order.
- 9:44Speaker 5: It depended on the mood that I was in. But
- 9:47Speaker 5: I would tell them, well, how about I come back
- 9:50Speaker 5: when you're ready.
- 9:51Speaker 3: And make them wait?
- 9:52Speaker 5: I like that. And that would piss them off. But,
- 9:58Speaker 5: you know, at some point. in time, you really didn't care.
- 10:02Speaker 5: You are not the only table that I have to
- 10:04Speaker 5: wait on.
- 10:06Speaker 4: For sure. Thank you for calling in.
- 10:08Speaker 5: Not a problem. Do you really want to know?
- 10:11Speaker 3: Annie and Cole want to know.
- 10:13Speaker 2: I was just reading this story about Darius Rucker, who
- 10:16Speaker 2: was talking about The early days of hooting in the
- 10:19Speaker 2: blowfish and how they used to just get paid and
- 10:22Speaker 2: all the beer that they could drink at a place.
- 10:25Speaker 2: And it made me think I asked you this question earlier.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I thought it was kind of fun. If you weren't
- 10:31Speaker 2: going to get paid in money to do this job
- 10:33Speaker 2: or whatever job that you're doing, what other form of
- 10:35Speaker 2: payment would you take?
- 10:37Speaker 4: Well, in radio, they like to pay us in pizza
- 10:39Speaker 4: parties a lot of times.
- 10:41Speaker 3: It's pretty good i would take a pizza party.
- 10:43Speaker 1: And we fall for it every time in radio they're
- 10:46Speaker 1: like you guys did a really good job we don't
- 10:48Speaker 1: really have money in the budget you know for blah
- 10:50Speaker 1: blah blah but we have this free lunch and we're
- 10:53Speaker 1: always like yes we'll take the.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Free lunch yeah the food is a good answer i
- 10:59Speaker 2: will always take free food the other one that comes
- 11:02Speaker 2: to mind to me is tickets to sporting events, especially
- 11:06Speaker 2: Pacers games.
- 11:06Speaker 3: You give me tickets to Pacers games and I'll keep coming.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Dude, we go back to this every time, but when
- 11:11Speaker 1: we won our ACM award, I was a two years
- 11:15Speaker 1: ago now at this point, our big, big boss at
- 11:17Speaker 1: the time came down. He's like, Hey, I got a
- 11:19Speaker 1: treat for you. Here's Pacer tickets.
- 11:21Speaker 3: We're like, Oh, awesome.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Pacer tickets.
- 11:23Speaker 3: They were playoff tickets.
- 11:24Speaker 1: And then we realized they were like the court side,
- 11:27Speaker 1: super club tickets.
- 11:28Speaker 4: It were like, Yeah.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Those I'll take anytime.
- 11:33Speaker 1: We have not like hit that high since, but one
- 11:37Speaker 1: day we're going to get back to it. I was
- 11:39Speaker 1: thinking like for me, immediately I was like travel points
- 11:41Speaker 1: or something like that, like to where I can go.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Good answer.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Not real money, but it's money for me to go somewhere.
- 11:46Speaker 1: I'll take it.
- 11:47Speaker 4: So what would you get paid in to do your
- 11:49Speaker 4: job other than money?
- 11:51Speaker 3: Be a part of the show. Call or text 317-663-9797.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I was hoping that we would magically look at our
- 11:59Speaker 1: phones and our bosses would have like transferred us some
- 12:01Speaker 1: Pacers tickets or something.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I know.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Still not seeing those. I'm just kidding.
- 12:05Speaker 2: We're talking about how Darius Rucker said in the early
- 12:08Speaker 2: days of Hootie, he would get paid in beer. What
- 12:11Speaker 2: would you accept as payment instead of money? And yeah,
- 12:15Speaker 2: I'll take Pacers tickets anytime. But if I'm taking tickets
- 12:18Speaker 2: over money, I do want the good ones.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Just saying.
- 12:20Speaker 4: Look at us getting all picky over here. We do
- 12:23Speaker 4: get a lot of perks here at this shop, we
- 12:24Speaker 4: will say.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Side-claimer, bosses, if you're listening, we love you and thank
- 12:28Speaker 1: you for all the opportunities we've been given here at
- 12:30Speaker 1: this shop.
- 12:30Speaker 4: That being said, what did they say on the text line?
- 12:32Speaker 2: Yeah, on the armory text line, Lisa saying, books, coffee,
- 12:36Speaker 2: and yarn. I would imagine coffee going to be a
- 12:39Speaker 2: popular answer on here. Jen said, new clothes and new
- 12:44Speaker 2: shoes so I can constantly change my wardrobe.
- 12:46Speaker 3: This one says, to be the boss for a day.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Okay. Dana's saying beach time or grandbaby time. Rhonda's saying
- 12:54Speaker 2: vet care for animals.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Yeah, after... That bill that we.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Had this weekend, that's a good answer too.
- 13:01Speaker 1: You know, the one that's interesting me is to be
- 13:03Speaker 1: the boss. That's one thing in my life. I never
- 13:06Speaker 1: want to be the boss.
- 13:08Speaker 2: You have said this before because the boss, our bosses
- 13:11Speaker 2: are always on call. Like if something goes wrong Saturday
- 13:16Speaker 2: night at two o'clock in the morning or whatever, they
- 13:18Speaker 2: get a call.
- 13:19Speaker 1: My husband's a boss. I see like the amount of
- 13:21Speaker 1: phone calls that he did. I'm like, I don't, I
- 13:23Speaker 1: want to go on vacation and be on vacation.
- 13:25Speaker 5: Annie and Cole.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Country.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Well, just heard from Kenny Chesney.
- 13:33Speaker 1: He is talking about how he's rehearsing for his upcoming
- 13:36Speaker 1: stadium show. He gave away tickets for that 2027. He'll
- 13:39Speaker 1: be at Soldier Field in June. But he said in
- 13:42Speaker 1: years past, he wants to make sure that everything is
- 13:45Speaker 1: the way that it should be before he gets to
- 13:47Speaker 1: a stadium. So the only way to do that is
- 13:50Speaker 1: to rehearse in a stadium. But how do you just
- 13:53Speaker 1: get a stadium? He rents them out. He rents out
- 13:57Speaker 1: an entire stadium for a week before these shows start.
- 14:00Speaker 4: And the whole crew goes and they go through what
- 14:02Speaker 4: it'd be like to go to a town, set up,
- 14:05Speaker 4: do the show.
- 14:06Speaker 2: And then interesting because it just the time like that,
- 14:11Speaker 2: the stadium doesn't have anything else going on. So is
- 14:13Speaker 2: that Soldier Field in Chicago in June? I guess outside
- 14:16Speaker 2: of football season, they probably are empty there for a week.
- 14:19Speaker 5: Maybe.
- 14:20Speaker 1: He says the last time he used Tampa is where,
- 14:22Speaker 1: I mean, because he wanted to be somewhere obviously warmer.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Okay, sure.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:25Speaker 4: I think he said last year he did Tampa. He
- 14:27Speaker 4: rented out the stadium.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Interesting.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Megan Maroney making the Times.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Let me get this right. Time 100 next list. So
- 14:37Speaker 1: it's all the artists.
- 14:38Speaker 4: And entertainers that they think are going to be doing
- 14:40Speaker 4: big things. She is, I think, the only country artist
- 14:44Speaker 4: on that list.
- 14:45Speaker 2: I feel like every time we check in on Megan Maroney,
- 14:47Speaker 2: she's doing something cool.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I do too.
- 14:50Speaker 1: And did you hear the reason why Luke Bryan, or Luke,
- 14:52Speaker 1: wrong Luke, Luke Bryan's staring over at me with his
- 14:56Speaker 1: weird teeth over there.
- 14:58Speaker 4: That cardboard cut out in the studio.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Luke Combs said the reason that he lost 30 pounds
- 15:03Speaker 1: is was because he wants to be able to take
- 15:06Speaker 1: his son's elk hunting in the future.
- 15:09Speaker 4: So hunting is the reason why he lost weight.
- 15:13Speaker 2: I also, I love the idea of getting yourself to
- 15:16Speaker 2: a healthier place to do something with your kids.
- 15:19Speaker 4: That is a positive spin-off.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I was just thinking about hunting season because opening day
- 15:22Speaker 1: for deer season, I think, is today.
- 15:24Speaker 4: And I don't know.
- 15:27Speaker 1: My husband hasn't been in a while. I wonder if
- 15:30Speaker 1: he's going to sneak that in on me soon. I'm

- 16:08Speaker 4: I am being forced. I feel like forced is the

- 16:12Speaker 1: To order a bridesmaid dress off the internet. I'm in
- 16:17Speaker 1: a wedding coming up in July. We've gone to different
- 16:19Speaker 1: stores and we've tried stuff on. And every time I
- 16:21Speaker 1: go to the store, the bride just keeps sending us
- 16:23Speaker 1: links for similar dresses off this website. And I'm like, okay,
- 16:26Speaker 1: can I just buy this for six? But this one's,
- 16:28Speaker 1: I got the swatches and this is like the colors
- 16:31Speaker 1: that I like really love. And I'm like, okay, my
- 16:33Speaker 1: problem is. I don't know if it's like this for guys'
- 16:36Speaker 1: clothes because I don't try on men's clothing. I could

- 16:43Speaker 1: based on what I'm trying on.
- 16:45Speaker 3: No, it is.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Some things I wear, I'm a large. Some things, I'm
- 16:49Speaker 2: a medium. Some things, I'm an extra large. I don't
- 16:51Speaker 2: really understand it, which is why I would like to
- 16:53Speaker 2: buy things in person.
- 16:54Speaker 3: And try them on.
- 16:55Speaker 4: So they're like, well, just do your measurements, right? Here's

- 17:05Speaker 1: you know, my chest is one size, but my waist
- 17:07Speaker 1: is another. My hip is a completely different size in
- 17:10Speaker 1: the dress. And I'm like, I don't know which one
- 17:13Speaker 1: to buy.
- 17:13Speaker 4: I just want to go to the store and try
- 17:17Speaker 4: it on.
