- 0:14Hello and welcome to Arguing Ever After.
- 0:17I'm Luke and this is my not so scary wife, Amber.
- 0:20Hello. We are the Lord and Lady who
- 0:23lock horns. The count and Countess of
- 0:25contention. The Duke and Duchess of
- 0:27Disagreement. And the king and queen of
- 0:29quarrels. We have been together since The
- 0:31American Werewolf went to Paris. We have argued about practically
- 0:35everything and we're still together and happy.
- 0:38In this entertainment only podcast, we will bicker about
- 0:41all things big and small and the audience gets the final say on
- 0:44who the winner is. We do not claim to be
- 0:47relationship experts by any means.
- 0:49We will debate lots of things, many of which are frequently
- 0:52submitted by our listeners. So if you have a topic you want
- 0:55us non professionals to battle over before you try it at home,
- 0:58please share it with us at arguingeverafter@gmail.com.
- 1:02Perhaps this completely unscientific method of letting
- 1:05the masses decide who is right will help you win your fight
- 1:08before you even have it. And so here we are.
- 1:14Our very not 13 1/2. No, we're at our very 15th
- 1:21episode. 15th episode I'm bad at counting.
- 1:24You know who's good at counting the Count from Sesame Street?
- 1:27Very good, very good. He would say, oh, but he can't
- 1:31do the s s. That's what it was.
- 1:34I'm trying to remember from the the album when I was a kid.
- 1:37I was going to say can't. Do that.
- 1:37You can't talk about the album. That's the wrong time of year.
- 1:40Well, that's fine. We're going to skip right past
- 1:42it, but he was count. Fun count or something like that
- 1:45I. Don't remember his full name but
- 1:47yeah I feel. Like it might have actually been
- 1:48count on count, but that seems silly even for for a kids
- 1:54program. Well, we your.
- 1:57Account desk, as we've established, which I think is
- 2:01pretty great. Yeah, and it fits well with what
- 2:03we're doing this month. That is true.
- 2:06Which is. Well, it's spooky month.
- 2:09Heck yeah, we're continuing the fun.
- 2:11Yeah, this is our third episode of Spooky Month.
- 2:14That's right, it is. Which is sort of interesting for
- 2:17us because we typically are recording very regularly.
- 2:22Every week, yes, but this month we wanted to make sure we get
- 2:27all the spooky episodes in. Well, not all.
- 2:30Well, but enough that we cover the month.
- 2:32Enough that we. Just so you know people, we've
- 2:33probably got a year of spooky themes because this one lives
- 2:37the spooky. I hope so.
- 2:39I hope we do, but we're gonna actually be out of town while
- 2:43this one is airing and and enjoying some Halloween fun
- 2:50going to the Disney World for well, that's the small part, but
- 2:55the big part is the Mickey Not so scary.
- 2:57Hence my address to you in the beginning of my not so scary
- 3:01wife. Little tie in there.
- 3:03But that is the very Halloween aspect, Super specific Halloween
- 3:09thing. You get to go trick or treating.
- 3:12We get so much candy and that's a lot of fun.
- 3:15The shopping, lot of fun. The parade's really great and of
- 3:19course, an opportunity. The parade called again.
- 3:21The Boo Parade, Boo to you parade.
- 3:24Boo to you. Maybe that's it, I don't
- 3:26remember. It's a lot of fun and.
- 3:28Also, I had a friend tell me that based on our child's
- 3:34proclivity for things that are spooky, haunted, scary, and
- 3:39dark, that the Halloween Horror Nights might actually be pretty
- 3:45great. So the real reason we had
- 3:48decided to be going down to Orlando in 2025 was because we
- 3:54wanted to go to Universal. Epic.
- 3:58Yeah, the new hotness. Yes, and it's and the reason why
- 4:02is they have this whole monsters part, which that's right now
- 4:06monsters, the universe of monsters that's year round yes
- 4:10to me, like Mickey, not so scary Halloween monsters fun all the
- 4:15time. All the time.
- 4:16So. We have stickers on the back of
- 4:20our vehicles that are Frankenstein and the bride.
- 4:23Yeah, well, I named my Jeep Frankie's bride because you were
- 4:26supposed to name your Jeep. I know, but then I didn't want
- 4:30it. The sticker was not gonna be
- 4:32matching and I'm real matchy matchy.
- 4:35No, no, it was, it was, you know, it's kind of like when you
- 4:38say let's get matching tattoos and the other one's like, just
- 4:40kidding you. Didn't I never said that.
- 4:43Did you say we were going to get matching tattoos?
- 4:45No, no, no, no, no. That's not what I'm saying.
- 4:47I'm. Saying you want to get matching
- 4:48tattoos. I really don't, not with you,
- 4:50but I. That's saying the bride or
- 4:53Frankenstein tattooed right here on your neck.
- 4:55No, but what I was saying, it's like when you say you're going
- 4:59to do that, we tattooed our cars and you're like, no, I'm not
- 5:04doing it. What if we did?
- 5:06It's alive. Yeah, not happening.
- 5:11Not happening. I don't I don't know why anyone.
- 5:14Does I don't know cuz you know tattoos are bum.
- 5:17Well, anyhow, so that's why I'm saying that ethic is not what I
- 5:20said. What we're doing that was
- 5:21Halloween epic monsters all year round.
- 5:25I don't see personally that as a Halloween thing.
- 5:28It can be, but I think the classics are good every day, not
- 5:35just in October. Agreed.
- 5:37So that is why I specifically said that.
- 5:40But we do like to find ways to stretch out Halloween
- 5:44celebrations. It seems like almost every year
- 5:46we have something we're doing, you know, that that helps us do
- 5:51that. But right now, I don't know.
- 5:54Oh, it's Tuesday. It's Thursday.
- 5:57No when this. Airs.
- 5:59Oh, when the. OK, I was making clear what day
- 6:02it was today. Right now, I believe we are at
- 6:06Mickey. Not so scary.
- 6:07Oh, based on when this is gonna release, yeah, I think you might
- 6:11be right. Which is pretty exciting.
- 6:13I'm so excited for us right now future.
- 6:15US and future listeners. We might be taking pictures of
- 6:18us while recording, isn't that? That could be.
- 6:21Awesome, awesome. So but that's that's why we did
- 6:25this because this was really important to us to have that
- 6:29content for you. So yes, now every time we have
- 6:34some new listener. Oh, we got something to say.
- 6:39We like to welcome them to our show and today our new listener
- 6:45has came from Nigeria. Wow.
- 6:49Lagos to be exact. Like Africa is in the house.
- 6:54Yeah, we, we, we asked for it like last, I don't know, last
- 6:58episode or something like that. And yeah, and I learned about
- 7:02Lagos's, the, the West African entertainment capital.
- 7:08So they know what's good. They know what's good.
- 7:11They're like arguing ever after they found us That's.
- 7:16Pretty cool, and as tradition would have it, I'm going to
- 7:19attempt to say hello correctly in the foreign language which my
- 7:25wife has described to me as. English.
- 7:28Pigeon. That's yes in English.
- 7:31English is the national language.
- 7:34Yes, Nigeria. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna probably
- 7:37mess this up, but I'm gonna try. It's how you day.
- 7:43There you go. Did I say it right?
- 7:44That's what I heard. Well, maybe the people in
- 7:46Nigeria will tell us if I said it wrong.
- 7:49Yeah, they'll be like, bro, we just say hi.
- 7:53Not a well these problems. They might, they might not.
- 7:58Well anyway, welcome Nigeria. We're thrilled to have you to
- 8:02add to our global listening audience.
- 8:05I know it's pretty fun. It's pretty fun and I don't know
- 8:09if they do the Halloween stuff there, but the last episode or
- 8:14the episode before it doesn't really matter.
- 8:16For us. Recording it was different, but
- 8:19Luke had made a promise to me and the promise was that he
- 8:24would be willing to watch a scary movie.
- 8:28You're right, and I did. He did.
- 8:31And I don't like scary movies y'all, because they're scary and
- 8:35I get scared. It's not even that weird of a
- 8:36thing. No, but I was really excited
- 8:39about it. And of course right away, once
- 8:41he said that I'm thinking, OK, he has to watch one before our
- 8:45next episode so that we can be like in it.
- 8:48And I do personally really like scary movies a lot.
- 8:52I don't. Well, and we watched one and
- 8:55it's, I feel like it's been a really long time since Luke and
- 8:58I watched like a really scary movie together on purpose that
- 9:02it was scary and not just that it was suspenseful because Luke
- 9:05will watch suspenseful movies with me.
- 9:07And every once in a while, you know, there, there have been a
- 9:09couple we've seen that he's like, oh, I'm a little creeped
- 9:11out with that. But but we did and and Luke told
- 9:16me the one he wouldn't watch. That's true.
- 9:19Was The Conjuring. I don't listen if I would have
- 9:23known before I watched that movie because I didn't watch a
- 9:26preview because I didn't want to watch a little bit of a preview,
- 9:29but I don't want to be too scared.
- 9:30If I would have known there was going to be a doll situation.
- 9:34I am out y'all, because there's like, I don't know why, but
- 9:38creepy dolls is maybe like one of the most scary things in a in
- 9:43a scary movie to me. And you're like, Oh, it's no
- 9:45factor. Well, right, it isn't but, but I
- 9:48think it's because of the uncanny valley effect.
- 9:50I thought that was like something with AI.
- 9:53No, it's any type of face that looks almost human but isn't
- 9:58human and your brain is like oh, must kill.
- 10:00It's like this whole. Well, I didn't think.
- 10:02Must kill, I thought. Must run.
- 10:04Well, get me away. From this crazy.
- 10:08Doll, I'm not fighting a doll. Yeah, that doll can win.
- 10:12It's like your lizard brain telling you that there is an
- 10:14issue because you're like, there's something close but not
- 10:17right. And so therefore it must be an
- 10:19issue. But I was really happy to watch
- 10:23that movie with you. Well, actually, I was just happy
- 10:25to watch the movie, but it didn't really necessarily matter
- 10:29that you were there. But I was, I was happy that you
- 10:31were there. Didn't matter that I was there.
- 10:34What I'm saying is, I would have watched it anyways if I had time
- 10:36to watch the movie. I don't typically like watching
- 10:39movies though in general 'cause they take so long.
- 10:42That's the point of a movie, actually.
- 10:45They're made to be longer. Yeah, yeah.
- 10:48Well, and Luke always wants to watch movies with me and so many
- 10:53of them I'm like, I've seen this movie 8,000,000 times just a
- 10:57little. Differently the difference,
- 10:58important though variation is is fun when you're watching movies,
- 11:03even if the themes you know remain consistent.
- 11:07I mean that's I think part of the reason the popular movies
- 11:11are poppy is cuz I said poppy popular are are like that is
- 11:16because they explore common themes.
- 11:19Probably the same could be said of scary movies.
- 11:21They're probably popular scary movies because they explore
- 11:26common themes of what scares people.
- 11:29So one of the reasons why I was looking for movies like The
- 11:34Conjuring was I wanted to talk with you about demonic
- 11:39possession and. In a doll.
- 11:43No, this, no, the doll didn't matter.
- 11:45I'm just saying it messed me up. I mean, in the very beginning
- 11:49when they had oh, this might be a spoiler, but the movies it's.
- 11:52Very old. It's not a spoiler.
- 11:54OK, in the very beginning there was the doll and I started
- 11:58laughing because I was like, Oh my God, this is where Annabelle
- 12:01was born. Yeah.
- 12:03And I had no idea. Also, I think that series is
- 12:06like there's no way you're spoiling anything.
- 12:08If somebody was gonna watch it, they to watch it by now.
- 12:10I think they've had like I think there was like either 3 or 4
- 12:16that are called The Conjuring. No, but then there's also.
- 12:20I think there's only two. Annabelle.
- 12:22Annabelle, was there an. Annabelle.
- 12:24Too. No, the nuns is from it.
- 12:26Yeah, yeah. You mean like the nun?
- 12:29Yeah, I'm out on that too, with the creepy eyeballs in the dark.
- 12:33Well. God.
- 12:35Anyhow, but I knew I didn't realize that Annabelle was going
- 12:39to be in there, and I don't know.
- 12:41Let me. Are you scared of?
- 12:44Yes. Are you scared of Raggedy Ann
- 12:49type of dolls? No.
- 12:52That's what the original Annabelle was actually supposed
- 12:56to be, according to Ed and Lorraine Warren, but that's what
- 13:00they had in. Their house.
- 13:01OK, so we had do we have a raggedy Ant?
- 13:04We had a raggedy Andy. Yeah in our house cuz my oldest
- 13:08brother's name Andrew. And I think that my mom got it
- 13:10because of that or someone gave it.
- 13:12I don't know how we got it, but I think having it in the house
- 13:14made it not a thing. Well I'm sure it's not a thing
- 13:17cuz it's not as human looking. That's probably true.
- 13:19Yeah, I think you have uncanny valley.
- 13:21I'm just gonna diagnose you with my armchair psychiatry degree.
- 13:27Right here on the. Couch.
- 13:28Yeah, that I think that's what it is.
- 13:30Because yeah, it's not. Yeah, I don't know.
- 13:33Little knowledge and a lack of research and here you are just
- 13:35letting me know. I know, I know.
- 13:37Well, I appreciate it. Yeah, so.
- 13:39This is why I'm out on the dolls, but I can't deal.
- 13:43But when I read that, it was about actually, and I actually
- 13:45saw a picture, like a real picture of the supposed
- 13:48possessed doll. OK.
- 13:50It was a raggedy and doll. That does seem less terrifying
- 13:54because it's like a little cloth doll with.
- 13:56I don't think yeah, like. Button eyeballs or something?
- 13:59Although I think if you were to see.
- 14:01It super old. In a glass case with a note that
- 14:04says do not open possessed doll, which is actually how they did
- 14:09store the doll. Really.
- 14:11Yeah. Yeah.
- 14:12They just kept the creepy doll. I actually went kind of a little
- 14:16bit of a deep dive because I'd heard about Ed and Lorraine
- 14:19Warren before, cuz. Well, I said on the thing, they
- 14:22were the based on a true story of their their case files, of
- 14:26their case files. OK, yeah, based on a true story
- 14:29as a loose association, yes. But it said that they were the
- 14:31only, what was it called? Ologists, Demonologists that
- 14:37were certified by the Vatican. OK.
- 14:39Something something like that. And I don't know if that's true
- 14:43or not. It doesn't really matter.
- 14:45Well. I didn't look anything up, so I
- 14:47don't. I don't, I don't know if that's
- 14:50true or not, but I did find a lot of things interesting about
- 14:55about them and some of their claims.
- 14:57And if you watch the movie, if you haven't done a deep dive
- 15:00into them or if you haven't heard about them any other way
- 15:05in the movie, they seem like a really nice couple.
- 15:08Now they are both dead. And since they were watching
- 15:12demonic possession the item I'm not going to speak I'll of this
- 15:16dead. That's a good idea.
- 15:17But they weren't always the nicest people.
- 15:20I feel like, I mean, I'm going to give give that some some
- 15:23credence though, if your life's work and what do you agree or
- 15:28believe in it or not. I think at this point doesn't
- 15:30matter is devoted to something involving what you believe to be
- 15:36and what other people believe to be demons and the devil and
- 15:41possession and God and all of that.
- 15:44Like, I feel like, I mean, more power to you, like, but of
- 15:51course it was a a fraught history.
- 15:54And of course they're going to have people that say that, you
- 15:57know, they were hurtful or demanding or, you know, whatever
- 16:02they might have said. I don't actually know, but it
- 16:04wouldn't surprise me. I mean, it's not like they're
- 16:06serving ice cream, you know what I'm saying?
- 16:07Right, Right. Of course they're going to have.
- 16:10I don't know, I. Don't know enemies, so did not
- 16:12enemies, but you know what I'm saying.
- 16:13I don't, I don't think that was the case.
- 16:15I just think that. What if their opponents were
- 16:17possessed? I said these people are frauds
- 16:20because they were trying to get people off the scent.
- 16:23Their daughter still runs their agency or whatever it was.
- 16:26Oh yeah. Family, more power to her.
- 16:29Apparently Lorraine died in like 2019, so not even that long ago.
- 16:33Yeah, yeah. But but there was lots of It's
- 16:36an interesting couple. She was a clairboy to.
- 16:38Read about Yeah, I don't. It's an interesting couple to
- 16:44read about and I would recommend anyone who is interested in that
- 16:48type of work and perhaps any of their movies and diving a little
- 16:53deeper into them to go ahead and do that because I just found it
- 16:57a little fascinating. I also find it fascinating to
- 16:59think the concept of I'm going to take all these possessed
- 17:03items and just have them in my house and keep them safe, which
- 17:06they truly did. That is, that is factual.
- 17:10These items, whether they're kind of.
- 17:12Like, you know what it probably is.
- 17:14It probably because like they it's like a hunter keeps like
- 17:18trophies and mounts them on the wall.
- 17:20Yeah, except they kept them in secure storage or something, cuz
- 17:25maybe they were concerned that yeah, that the evil spirits were
- 17:29gonna come and get them. They kept them in their parlor
- 17:31or something like that. It was not I mean, but.
- 17:36Well. But I did want you to do the
- 17:39reason. Can you imagine?
- 17:40I'm sorry. Go ahead.
- 17:41No. You can say what?
- 17:42I was gonna say, Can you imagine in our house having a room full
- 17:46of creepy relics, keepsakes, possessed objects and dolls and
- 17:52books and all kind of weapons and man, and just walking in the
- 17:57room and being like, there's those 72 different demons.
- 18:02I think you. Nope.
- 18:03You're living a different lifestyle for such a thing, but
- 18:07I mean you. I get scared just thinking about
- 18:09it. Well, you hear about people who
- 18:11will and like back in history, right?
- 18:14Like when I keep going back to Egypt.
- 18:16But when they evacuated or evacuated was the word, were
- 18:20they ex exhumed? I don't know where you you clean
- 18:24out a tomb. Well, if there's a dead person
- 18:28in it, there's that's exhumed of thought.
- 18:30Right. But I mean, like in the Egyptian
- 18:32pyramid stuff anyhow. So like the curse of whatever.
- 18:36Yeah, Right, Right. And that, yeah.
- 18:40So folks who had, you know, kept some of those items or whatever
- 18:45like that, they had curses upon them.
- 18:47I believe it. Yeah, so, but they didn't
- 18:50probably know it, You know, there was a bad, it was bad to
- 18:54hold. I mean that it might hurt them
- 18:56and not smart. You know what can touch Gold.
- 18:58Again, though, I also think, you know, if you look, I mean, bad
- 19:02things do happen to everybody all the time.
- 19:04So is it the object that did it, or is it just pointing back and
- 19:07saying, well, Gee here, well, you had that object.
- 19:10I mean maybe, but I would like to hear some of these tales cuz
- 19:13what if they're like next level crazy?
- 19:15Yeah. Then maybe it's not just like
- 19:18some random association. It could be a future episode
- 19:20because I have actually heard some of these tales.
- 19:23OK, I have done. Our cursed tunes real.
- 19:28Maybe that's we could put that in the notes.
- 19:30Somewhere I don't that's not gonna that'll be way down the
- 19:33road, so we don't need to go too far into that.
- 19:35But, but I really wanted to know if you had the belief in being
- 19:43able to be possessed because I thought that would be a really
- 19:45interesting thing to talk about. And so we talked about this
- 19:50beforehand and you had said. Oh, well, I mean, I was
- 19:57uncertain, but you know, yes, but it was like maybe not a
- 20:03direct correlation of demon possessing the soul, spirit and
- 20:08body of a human, but like. Like a more like a like a living
- 20:17demonically and that maybe kind of like you say, sometimes maybe
- 20:20there's an association there. Now, that being said, as easily
- 20:24scared as I am, it's not hard for me to make a leap from
- 20:27someone is acting demon like to somebody is possessed by an
- 20:31actual demon. The trouble I have is like, and
- 20:35I said this when we were talking about it, It's like then you
- 20:37have to swallow the whole kit and caboodle.
- 20:39So like if you, for me anyway, this is where some of my arguing
- 20:43brain gets a little hung up. It's like if I were to say yes,
- 20:47that the human vessel can be possessed by a demon, then we
- 20:54have to know it's a demon. What's the name of the demon?
- 21:00Where does it come from? Does that then presuppose that
- 21:02it's other demon corollaries are factual and its counterpart like
- 21:07angels? And then are we God and the
- 21:09devil? And like, that's a lot to take
- 21:11in. I mean, if the question, if I
- 21:14could make it simpler in my brain, which is not something I
- 21:17can easily do. I'm a complicated person.
- 21:21It would be easy for me, I think, to say yes, But I go to
- 21:24like a next few different things.
- 21:26And that one's harder for me, for instance, than are psychics
- 21:30real? So when I asked.
- 21:32You, which we're tied on, by the way.
- 21:34When I asked you this question, yeah, I think you were expecting
- 21:39that. I was going to think that no
- 21:41matter what you were saying yes, that that was your answer.
- 21:44And I actually did not think you would say yes based on.
- 21:49Thanks, based on that I think I'm more in the no camp.
- 21:53Well, and you thought I would say no because?
- 21:56Right, because you're the constant skeptic.
- 21:58But I'm not like I say that. Remember that I always I want to
- 22:03believe in things. Are you?
- 22:05I think you're a secret believer.
- 22:06You just need to have I. There's a logical fallacy that
- 22:10that prevents you. From taking it and that's and
- 22:12that's the thing on this one and the superstition one right.
- 22:15So I actually do believe it's possible, which I, this is where
- 22:20I think This is why we couldn't do this question, because I
- 22:25believe it's possible based on the research I have done.
- 22:28And also in the house I was raised, although in my, the
- 22:32religion I was raised through with my mom technically doesn't
- 22:38believe in, in possession, but my father being Roman Catholic
- 22:44like that is a big deal. And so I always, whenever I
- 22:47would hear things about possession, I'd like, Nope,
- 22:50Nope, Nope, Nope, Nope. It's like it was in my DNA to be
- 22:53scared of it. So even still today I'm like,
- 22:56Nope, I, I don't know. I kind of believe it's possible.
- 23:00And I was doing, I was doing a little bit of reading beforehand
- 23:04because I'm like, I know the Catholics believe it.
- 23:06I mean, the Catholics do exorcisms.
- 23:09They are, yes. And so then I was wondering, and
- 23:12I know that the Lutherans were like, we do.
- 23:16We're not going to say it's not there, but we're not going to
- 23:19say it is there. You know, kind of like you.
- 23:21Exorcist. No.
- 23:23OK, maybe that's kind of like you just don't want to get on
- 23:26the bad side if there was 1. Right.
- 23:28And so then I was doing more dives because then I was like, I
- 23:31went into a couple other sects of Christianity and a lot of.
- 23:36SECTS. It just sounded like another
- 23:40word. Anyway, carry on.
- 23:41Well, anyhow, and so then most of them, well they're a lot of
- 23:45them actually did believe it's possible.
- 23:47But then there's different. So then I was wondering what
- 23:49about other Judeo-christian or, you know, other Judeo beliefs?
- 23:55And so like some Jewish people believe it's possible, which I
- 24:00found very interesting, and also some Muslim people, but it's,
- 24:04it's believed like it's actually a thing to exercise.
- 24:08Did you know that the name of I only just this random, random
- 24:12moments in Luke's brain, the name of the devil.
- 24:16I don't know what the whole story is, but in the Quran, do
- 24:20you know what the name of the devil is?
- 24:21No Jatat. It's very close to Satan, the
- 24:26words, you know, I thought that was kind of interesting.
- 24:28Interesting. Yeah.
- 24:29Yeah. Well, anyhow, so it kind of got
- 24:33me thinking, well, if all these people and there's plenty of
- 24:35religions if you go into it that believe in that.
- 24:38But I was just wondering, you know, like where did the
- 24:40offshoot happen? Where did where did the change
- 24:43happen? But so it was just interesting
- 24:48to know that so many religions believe it is possible to be
- 24:51possessed by a demon and. Well, here there's a whole,
- 24:58there's a whole religion that like that's part of the deal on
- 25:02purpose. What do you mean when you get
- 25:05into like Santeria and Polo Myombe?
- 25:07Then I mean I don't demonic possession.
- 25:11Well, not necessarily, but they call upon the Orishas, right?
- 25:16One of which Alegba or Alegba, depending on what language
- 25:21you're speaking, is like the the trickster spirit and is like
- 25:25kind of a little bit, you know, evil borderline.
- 25:27And if you're practicing the dark magic, you can, you can
- 25:31call up some, some evil stuff with that.
- 25:34I'm just saying. I think we're going to have a
- 25:36whole another episode at some point about Santeria.
- 25:38I think that we should for sure. And by the way, Nigeria
- 25:42listener, you know, the Aruba, the Aruba people of Nigeria drop
- 25:49that religion over. So I think that maybe that could
- 25:52be interesting for our Nigerian friends.
- 25:54Yeah, maybe they could see this whole information.
- 25:56What they think we think about their history, they'll be like,
- 25:59well, that's wrong. Well, and that would be
- 26:01interesting too because, you know, I mean there's large
- 26:04assumptions being for sure. I'd love to have some local
- 26:08history. Yeah, from some sent some
- 26:10messages. Yeah, yeah, let's e-mail because
- 26:13that'd be very interesting, I think before we even get
- 26:15anywhere near that topic anyway. A long time, Yeah.
- 26:19So anyhow, though, it was interesting to me how much it is
- 26:24believed. And like I said, and I've said
- 26:27before, and like Luke said, I like the spooky stuff.
- 26:30So I listen to podcasts about all these things.
- 26:32Oh, I don't. I've read books about these
- 26:35things, read articles. I read a couple books.
- 26:38You've read a couple. Yeah, back in the day.
- 26:41Well, I've read girl. I read every.
- 26:46Single. Day of my life on purpose.
- 26:48You read all the time. All the time.
- 26:50But back in the day I did. I read some Stephen King stuff.
- 26:52I read, well, when you were reading, I can't remember the
- 26:57name, Dean Koontz, he had some, some spooky type stuff.
- 27:01And I read a couple of his books that you had read.
- 27:04They were good. Yeah, I like.
- 27:06You derailed me. Sorry, my bad.
- 27:09Well, anyways, so demonic possession.
- 27:13Wow. No, no.
- 27:14No. No, not there.
- 27:16I must be possessed. It's.
- 27:17Oh, don't say that because I'm going to have some nightmare
- 27:20look at you and you're oh, she's trying to freak me out.
- 27:22Y'all it's working. Yeah, I'm trying to come back to
- 27:25the point that I was talking about.
- 27:28Well, if you're going to be derailed, I can just talk for a
- 27:30minute about these crazy movies. You had me watching previews
- 27:33too. So anyone out there listening
- 27:35that wants to throw a comment or an e-mail or something, We
- 27:40looked at like, what movies could I handle?
- 27:43That was literally like it was 1.
- 27:46Amber had to want to watch it bad enough because she doesn't
- 27:48like movies as she said. And two, can I actually survive
- 27:52the movie without being like, I'm out of here because I will
- 27:56bounce on a scary movie if it's too much?
- 27:58I'm like, Nope, we're dumb. And there was like 5 of them and
- 28:03one was called The Witch. And I don't know if I'll ever
- 28:06watch that movie because it was like set in 1600s England.
- 28:09And there was like a whole scene in the woods with like a kid and
- 28:13some I was like no thank you. And there was one, an Irish one
- 28:17called. I remember what I was going to
- 28:21talk about. I was talking about, well, just
- 28:23keep it in your head, Lake Lake Song or something like that.
- 28:26The Irish one looked weird. There's one called Hereditary
- 28:30that looked like I could have maybe done it because there was
- 28:32this thing about a grandma and a mom and a kid, and the mom made
- 28:35these weird little like figurines and a dollhouse and
- 28:38they got possessed and they moved around or something
- 28:40anyway. And then there was a, let's see,
- 28:43that was a conjuring that was in there and well, I forget the
- 28:46other one. Anyway, I watched like these
- 28:48five previews in the series, like in a row, so, you know, 5
- 28:53or 10 minutes. And by the end of just the
- 28:54previews, I was like, I'm terrified of everything I know.
- 28:57But it's like anything they put the best parts in the previews
- 29:00well whatever. Which is why I don't like
- 29:02watching trailers for anything cuz I'm like I've already seen
- 29:05the best parts in movie or I already know what the ending is.
- 29:09But I was talking about reading about possessions and things
- 29:14like that and listening to podcasts and I had recalled this
- 29:17one story from this priest from France.
- 29:22And he was talking, he wrote a whole book about his, his, the
- 29:28exorcism that he did with this young girl.
- 29:31And I don't know Young 1415. Stuff like that.
- 29:34The 5th movie was called The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
- 29:36Carry on. Which is a different.
- 29:38Yeah. Anyhow, so he, he wrote a whole
- 29:40book about it and like how long it was.
- 29:42And I had heard, I heard a lot of the accounts and I was like,
- 29:44gosh, I mean, just awful the concepts and, and really, if
- 29:48someone is like going, you having your body go through all
- 29:50of that sounds pretty awful. And I'd also heard about one
- 29:55where there was like this whole nunnery who got possessed and
- 30:00the whole thing, the whole nunnery got possessed.
- 30:02All the nuns. All the nuns, yeah.
- 30:04Oh, by like a squad of demons, or like one demon was.
- 30:09Good question. I didn't.
- 30:11Was the demon squad came up from the underworld?
- 30:14Can 1 demon possess multiple people at the same time?
- 30:17I mean, based on The Conjuring, yes.
- 30:22Well, yes and no, because there was the effect and then there
- 30:24was like the full blown Yeah, anyway, so I don't know.
- 30:28Yeah, that's interesting. I don't know that I ever want to
- 30:30find out. Yeah, so it but they were like,
- 30:32that was a big deal because there were so many people
- 30:34possessed in one spot. And also like nuns, you'd think
- 30:38we're kind of, you know, more immune if you're the right of
- 30:41Christ. Yes, protected.
- 30:42I'm just. Yeah, yeah.
- 30:43But maybe it was a bad marriage. I don't know.
- 30:46Maybe their vows weren't strong enough.
- 30:49Guess not. Guess not.
- 30:50But so then I when I've been looking for this guy who I'd
- 30:52originally heard about and, you know, listened to some stories
- 30:55on, I wrote the book, a really important book, I guess if
- 30:59you're into like learning how to exercise demons.
- 31:02If you I don't know if that's your light reading.
- 31:05How to exercise the demon one O 1?
- 31:07I don't know if it's quite that kind of like that, you know?
- 31:10Handbook for demon possessor kicker outers.
- 31:15So what are? They called it.
- 31:17Exorcism. Like in like the church is that.
- 31:20Yeah, OK. Like I, I don't know if you get
- 31:22like a certification or something.
- 31:24Do you get a badge? But you do have like a like
- 31:27they're titled to do that. You're allowed to do that.
- 31:31And a lot of times there's not like too many people who do it.
- 31:34So you'll have like your territory of doing it.
- 31:36But there was another guy when I was looking for that guy and I
- 31:39forgot I'd heard about him, but I did not realize like how big
- 31:44his reach was. And I don't even think he's been
- 31:46dead that long. But this guy, father amore or
- 31:52morph or something like that. I wrote it down because.
- 31:54I father love. A morph father morph anyhow, he
- 32:01says claim claim to have performed over 60,000 exorcisms
- 32:09in 30 years 60,000. What?
- 32:14The math. There's no math in there. 60
- 32:17Well, how about wait a minute, 60,000 exorcisms in 30 years?
- 32:23In 30 years. So 20,000 a year.
- 32:27No, no, 2000. 2000 a year. Yes.
- 32:34It's still bonkers. It's what like, yeah, it's it's
- 32:37not possible. So but he you'd.
- 32:40Have to do like a handful of date if you're gonna take a day
- 32:43off. So I think he just really was
- 32:45kind of saying it for clout, clearly.
- 32:48He's just walking around with like a water pistol with some
- 32:50holy water. Be like, boom, you're good.
- 32:52Boom, you're good. Yeah, well, I read to try to
- 32:55figure out how he could claim such an massive, massive number
- 32:59for one person, cuz he's like, it was just me, y'all in France.
- 33:03I had it all. I did it all cuz he would then
- 33:07say, well, everyone is, you know, can be possessed with even
- 33:09little demons. He's like, and I was a little
- 33:12prayer and I thought, all right, I mean, I, I think that's kind
- 33:16of cheating, but I didn't like. I think it's more into like what
- 33:19I was kind of I could yeah, agree with the like a like a
- 33:23mini possession right where it's not like a full blown you are
- 33:27the demon you're possessed by, but like you have a like a, a
- 33:31segment a little fraction. But I was thinking about that
- 33:34priest who wrote the book on exorcism after like, and this
- 33:38was like a month long ordeal, OK.
- 33:40I could imagine being like, you know, being dead and thinking
- 33:45how mad I would be at the dude was like, yeah, you did one for
- 33:48a month that you wrote a book about and it ruined your life.
- 33:51Big deal. I do 2000 a year.
- 33:54Like, I don't know. It was just, it was really
- 33:57interesting, but it is one of those things that I don't, I
- 34:01doubt I'll ever get possessed. I don't know not.
- 34:04Hope would. Let's hope not.
- 34:06However, I certainly have a fear of it, which is, you know, kind
- 34:11of like one of those unfounded fears.
- 34:13So I don't know. It's just I'm glad that we got
- 34:17to talk about it before the episode because I was certain,
- 34:20given how you were raised, that you would just be like, that is
- 34:23the most absurd thing. It's not possible.
- 34:26You're not going to have some girls heads spinning around,
- 34:29spitting out pea soup beds, levitating, things like that.
- 34:33From the Exorcist movie, right? Yes.
- 34:36OK, I don't think I've ever watched.
- 34:38That but the one priest who wrote the book, he was talking
- 34:40about those exact types of things that were happening.
- 34:42Maybe the movie is based on the other guy's book.
- 34:45It is based on something that I, yeah, I didn't.
- 34:48I don't know exactly what that is.
- 34:50Well, anyhow, I mean, while I think that there are people who
- 34:53exploit the possibility of possession.
- 34:58A mini possession sounds a little exploitative.
- 35:01I think so. I think so, yeah.
- 35:03But I also think that there are, you know, in my, in my fear and
- 35:08like maybe hedging bets here. Yeah, I'm gonna say I believe in
- 35:11it more than I don't because I wouldn't want to be the person
- 35:15who's like, I don't believe it. And then be like, boom, you're
- 35:17next. You definitely don't want to be
- 35:19next. No, I I really don't.
- 35:21I mean being spooked like that by something if oh man, I can't
- 35:28even imagine it. I'm scared of it in a movie.
- 35:30I can't even imagine it in real life.
- 35:32I know that movie had you very, The Conjuring had you very, very
- 35:37freaked out. And we had discussed another
- 35:39question beforehand and I was like, Oh, well, we can't do that
- 35:43question because your answer is not, it doesn't work.
- 35:47We wouldn't be able to argue about it.
- 35:49And then afterwards, after watching that movie, well, Luke,
- 35:54let me ask you a question. I was not ready for that.
- 35:58And the the moment you've all been waiting for, folks, here it
- 36:03is in this corner claiming to weigh in at 105 lbs of ghoulish
- 36:09delight. We have Amber and I don't
- 36:13remember the wins and losses record.
- 36:15Five wins for me. Uh oh.
- 36:16So you got all happy faced over there?
- 36:194 losses. We have several ties.
- 36:22So I've won four times. Yeah.
- 36:25So we're still, I'm still in the running.
- 36:27You're not not in the running. OK.
- 36:29And we got a few ties, which is bogus, by the way.
- 36:31And by the time this airs we will have had like 2.
- 36:35Yeah we're gonna be off on the count cuz we did this pre record
- 36:38of like 3 episodes so that we would have good spooky content
- 36:42for everything. And then we want to have a good
- 36:44vacation. Yeah, yes.
- 36:47Anyhow, So in this corner, we have Luke, who is claiming to
- 36:52weigh in at 185 plus pounds. Getting ready for Spooky?
- 36:57I might actually be 185. I feel like I've lost a little
- 37:00bit of feel. Like I've gained weight because
- 37:01all the candy. I've been trying to resist that
- 37:04it's gonna. Continue.
- 37:05But that's OK. I mean like I can worry about it
- 37:07in my I'm. Pre gaming to go put on some
- 37:10vacation pounds. That's what.
- 37:12Because I'm excited about all the Anyway, sorry I got.
- 37:14Talked to you, so let me ask you the question and I know this is
- 37:18not a new question for you. OK, here we go.
- 37:20Luke, we just watched a scary. Movie we did.
- 37:24About a house. It was a house.
- 37:26That had many haunts. So haunted.
- 37:33Would you live in a haunted house?
- 37:35Hell no. I mean there couldn't even be a
- 37:41more of a no when you first were talking about that.
- 37:44We were gonna can we argue over the question?
- 37:46Cuz by the way, y'all, I know we've said this before, but just
- 37:48to refresh people's memory, we have to agree that we can
- 37:51disagree or we don't have something to record.
- 37:55So a lot of times we'll be like, what do you think about this?
- 37:57What do you think about that? And we're like in agreement.
- 37:59And so of course we discard the argument.
- 38:02This one, apparently there's an argument to be made on her crazy
- 38:06side over there. But for me, this one was sort of
- 38:10easy. It was it.
- 38:12Well, but, but here's the, the lead up to it.
- 38:15I had a bunch of conditions. I said, well, I might live in a
- 38:20haunted house if it's cool. Like that one TV show.
- 38:24I don't remember what network it's on.
- 38:25It's called Ghosts. That's great.
- 38:28It's super funny, this girl. NBC and BBC cuz it's originally
- 38:32a British. We watched the British one too.
- 38:35So this girl, like they, her and her husband, they like move out
- 38:38into the countryside cuz she inherited some sweet country
- 38:42Manor, something like that. And then she fell down and
- 38:45bumped her head and all of a sudden she could see ghosts.
- 38:47And there was like a bunch of ghosts in this house.
- 38:49And they were trapped there by some ghost law that said if you
- 38:51die here, you stay here. And it's hilarious.
- 38:54And the ghosts are not like scary or mean.
- 38:58They're like just, you know, people from different times of
- 39:01earth. And she gets to have these
- 39:03relationships with them and it seems for the most part, sort of
- 39:07okay. And I was thinking, well, that
- 39:10would be nice. So that was my condition.
- 39:13Can I, can I pick the type of haunted I get?
- 39:17And Amber said no. And then I was like, hell no,
- 39:21I'm not living in a haunted house because what did you get?
- 39:24Malicious ghosts that want to hurt or harm you, that want to
- 39:27scare you for the sake of scaring you.
- 39:30They want to go things that go bump in the night and flicker
- 39:33your light bulbs and open and close doors and make creepy
- 39:35sounds and oh man, and I just watched The Conjuring and that
- 39:40house was like haunted by this. Which demon loving crazy.
- 39:47She would be possessing people and slam, I mean slamming doors
- 39:50and like throwing heavy objects and cut.
- 39:53She cut the one guys neck with like a something can't even
- 39:56remember. And like, she'd be yanking on
- 39:59people's feet trying to pull him out of the bed and like,
- 40:02standing in a corner just looking like the creepiest ghost
- 40:05you could ever imagine with those weird creepy demon
- 40:08eyeballs and like, Oh my God, the whole.
- 40:13The premise of the secret passageways and the Oh no, and
- 40:17the hanging from a tree. There's too many things because
- 40:20if you lived in 100 houses, you don't know what kind of hunt
- 40:22you're going to get. I mean, I would imagine the
- 40:27sample size of which is what is probably similar to what humans
- 40:31are like in today. So most of the time your odds,
- 40:36maybe you're maybe you're 8020, maybe you're going to get a good
- 40:39one. But what if you hit that 20% and
- 40:43then like you got a ghost that like wants to like a be a culty
- 40:48ghost in life? It turns into like some sort of
- 40:51creepy culty ghost in the afterlife.
- 40:53Or what if it's a ghost that wants to hurt and maim and chop
- 40:59people up and then you get that one in your house and then
- 41:02usually wants to be chopping you up or eat you.
- 41:06Or man, I'm telling you, there's all kinds of crazy people out
- 41:09there that do some super demented stuff.
- 41:12And I just think if they had like ghost powers, that would be
- 41:15some next level scare for me. And if I can't even handle a
- 41:18movie, Oh my goodness. Imagine if it was every day of
- 41:22my life. I would be done.
- 41:24I'd burn that thing down and run as far away as you could. 01
- 41:29time. This is for the sake of our
- 41:31argument. You for real found a haunted
- 41:35house bed and breakfast in Wisconsin, which is next door to
- 41:39us in Minnesota, and seriously tried to convince me that we
- 41:44should buy it and live in it. I mean, who, what, who does
- 41:50that? Why do you want to go live in a
- 41:51haunted house? Oh my.
- 41:54And they were advertising it like an attraction.
- 41:58No, they weren't. Well, how did you find out about
- 42:00it? Well, I was.
- 42:01Hold on, let me. Rest my case when?
- 42:03It's my. Time.
- 42:04That's fine. You could talk a lot more
- 42:05because I don't remember all the details.
- 42:06I just Remember Me being like, that is not happening.
- 42:10So anyway, that's for me. Live in a haunted house?
- 42:15You bet all your fingers and toes I'm not moving in.
- 42:18No siree. You can keep all your creepy
- 42:21stuff. Nope.
- 42:23OK, you go ahead. So obviously I would live in a
- 42:28haunted house. Now, I think that I mean part of
- 42:36me is like, like we have discussed there are things that
- 42:38I am very cynical of and there, you know, so I would be like,
- 42:42it's probably not anything, right?
- 42:45But the house you were talking about, I really wanted.
- 42:48It was such a good deal. It was such a good deal.
- 42:52It was like this bed and breakfast.
- 42:54I think it had like 8 bedrooms and six bathrooms and like a
- 42:59whole dining bar thing. And I think it was on a lake and
- 43:03I was like, Oh my gosh, I know people out there would want to
- 43:08purposefully stay in a haunted in a haunted hotel because I
- 43:13also have wanted to purposefully stay in a haunted hotel, right?
- 43:16Why? I don't even want to for we.
- 43:18Have we have? But not because it was like they
- 43:21don't build them. They they say they have haunts
- 43:24and whatnot, right? But like when you're booking it
- 43:26on the Internet, they don't say we're a haunted hotel.
- 43:29Depends on what sites you're looking through the.
- 43:32Normal 1. I would.
- 43:35I did happen before. I have looked to say, OK, what
- 43:38hotels are haunted in the area and I want to stay there because
- 43:41I love it to just see what's going on.
- 43:45I don't believe in a lot of it because I think a lot of things
- 43:48that go bump in the night happen to have four legs and a little
- 43:51tail, right? I think that's a lot of the
- 43:54things that go bump. In the like mice you're talking,
- 43:56yeah. Yeah, and.
- 43:58Or Orleans, where we were rats. Could have been rats.
- 44:02Oh yeah. Speaking of New Orleans repping
- 44:05the shirt, Yeah, Anybody. Anybody.
- 44:07Oh, do we have Louisiana yet? We do, but I don't know where in
- 44:10Louisiana I don't get that data. Maybe they know what this is.
- 44:13Yeah, Because when we were in New Orleans, I was like, this
- 44:16shirt is so cool. It's got a crazy looking
- 44:18werewolf and it says Roogaroo, Swamp legend.
- 44:21And then we went on the swamp and I asked the guy, I'm like,
- 44:25what's this? And he goes and he had kind of a
- 44:27Creole accent. Roogaroo and he talked about how
- 44:30it was like a swamp, swamp demon or whatever, and yeah.
- 44:35Anyway, back to the haunted house.
- 44:37You said Haunted Hotel in New Orleans and my brain got going.
- 44:40I know, I know we get sidetracked really easily, but
- 44:43sometimes when you get on the sidetrack train, I completely
- 44:46forget and I'm off and I'm I'm waiting for an airplane or
- 44:50something. I have no idea.
- 44:52Anyhow, So no, it doesn't. But but I think that, you know,
- 44:56if you believe in any type of hauntings.
- 44:59Now, here's the thing, if you don't believe in haunted houses,
- 45:02that houses can be haunted, then buying one that's supposedly
- 45:06haunted means nothing to you right now.
- 45:09If you do believe that it's possible that sometimes souls
- 45:13get stuck here, if you have houses that are over 100 years
- 45:16old, chances are someone died in near or around it.
- 45:22And you know why? Why wouldn't then the chances be
- 45:26that most houses might be haunted after a certain time?
- 45:29And I love big old houses. I love big Victorian houses.
- 45:34And I tried to sweeten the pot with you.
- 45:36And I was like, what if it's like, you know, we have our very
- 45:39rich St. And actually, and if anyone's
- 45:42interested, you could look it up at Summit Ave. in Saint Paul.
- 45:45And it is like the longest, longest, longest area of
- 45:53Victorian houses in a row on a on a street.
- 45:57So I don't know. Where?
- 45:58Like in the country? I don't remember if it was in
- 46:00the country at this state, but it was a pretty large.
- 46:02But anyhow, so I was like, would you live in one of those houses
- 46:06for like a stupid cheap amount of money, you know?
- 46:09If it was haunted. If it was haunted and you know,
- 46:13and he was kind of like, well, maybe, you know, I was like, I
- 46:15would because that would be my only opportunity to live in one
- 46:18of those houses. Millions of dollars.
- 46:21Millions, yes, millions of dollars, but that would just be,
- 46:25I feel like most people aren't bad.
- 46:29So I feel like if there are ghosts, most of them aren't bad
- 46:32and I I feel like it would be totally worth the risk.
- 46:36And what if they're fun and funny, right?
- 46:39Like, I mean, why? I would totally love it.
- 46:42I mean, this is going to creep you out.
- 46:44So I'm going to tell you this online for now, but you're fine
- 46:48because we know nothing happened in this house.
- 46:50But the other day I was putting sheets on the bed and I put the
- 46:55sheets on and I noticed that one of your drawers is out.
- 46:58And I was like, I push it back in and then I'm continuing to
- 47:02put more the sheets on a little differently.
- 47:04And then another drawer's out and I was like.
- 47:06I know it does that. And so then I push it back in,
- 47:09and then there you go. Yeah.
- 47:11And I was like. Don't say I got a haunted
- 47:14dresser, I just think it's gravity.
- 47:18I mean, that's not quite how gravity works, but I was just
- 47:21kind of like. Now you got me worried about.
- 47:24I mean, why do the drawers pop? I don't know, I thought it was
- 47:28gravity. Doesn't work like that.
- 47:31Is it air pressure in the inside of the?
- 47:34I thought it was bumping it a couple times and then it my.
- 47:37Husband doing that for a long time, you're telling me we got a
- 47:40no? I don't know, maybe just the
- 47:42dresser. You're right, it's gravity.
- 47:44No inside. Because I don't want to move.
- 47:46I think yeah, no. Let's go with though.
- 47:48Yeah, yeah. So anyhow, I was kind of
- 47:50laughing and I was like, that would be kind of funny.
- 47:52I would do that if I was a ghost.
- 47:53Just like every time you turn around, just whoop and just make
- 47:56you think what's going on, what's going on?
- 47:59That would be me. I would want to.
- 48:00Let what the ghost like, that's it then that's not that big of a
- 48:03deal. Yeah, for a lady who said you
- 48:06err on the side of caution with demon actual possession, you
- 48:10sound a little risky with a haunted house.
- 48:14I mean, I don't feel like these ghosts are going to try to
- 48:16inhabit me. I mean, I'm not really the
- 48:18greatest thing that I wouldn't want to inhabit me, but it was
- 48:22just really funny though, watching the the drawer, you
- 48:25know, I wasn't watching it. Every time I turn around, I'm
- 48:26like the first couple times you're like, are you, am I
- 48:30seeing things or am I going crazy or tonight, you know, air.
- 48:34Pressure, It's air pressure. I'm going with air pressure.
- 48:36Air pressure, but then so then not that long after that.
- 48:40Creeped out about my dresser. Our daughter comes into our room
- 48:43in the middle of the night and she's.
- 48:47Coming. I don't make a day, maybe later
- 48:51or something like that. She comes into our room and
- 48:53she's like, it's midnight. And she says, mom, dad, mom,
- 48:58will you wake up? There's something trying to claw
- 49:02its way into my room. And I was like, that's an
- 49:05interesting statement, you know, in my half, you know, sleepy
- 49:08brain, like something. And then I started hearing it
- 49:13and I was like, OK, Luke, you need to get up and deal with
- 49:18this. Because while my sleepy brain
- 49:21thought for a second, maybe it's a haunted house that we live in.
- 49:25Nope. My, my, what is left of my
- 49:27rational brain while sleeping realizes this is an actual
- 49:31critter and I'm not going to be dealing with it.
- 49:34So just very interesting. You know, twice within a very
- 49:38short amount of time, I was thinking about it.
- 49:41And you know what? I don't want to move.
- 49:42I love my house. And if there's anything in it, I
- 49:45love them too. You're a welcomed addition to my
- 49:47families. That's not true.
- 49:50I don't want this house to be haunted by flying squirrels or.
- 49:53Any. Kind of squirrel for that
- 49:56matter, no? No, no, no, no, no.
- 49:58I was talking about if. You know I was.
- 49:59Talking about if it was spirits, you know, I get it.
- 50:02It's kind of, I don't know. It wouldn't bother.
- 50:04Me waking you up in the middle of the night scratching on
- 50:06something. I was that loud.
- 50:08See, that's what I'm saying. Nobody wants that.
- 50:10No, but I mean, I sleep through a lot of things.
- 50:12I could figure it out if it's a place I like and I want to live,
- 50:16I it wouldn't bother me on on theory, you know, and growing up
- 50:21with sisters, which I'm sure is no different than growing up
- 50:24with brothers. Oh, it's different.
- 50:26I had a sister I am sure would have sat there, pulled sheets
- 50:31off my bed, do all sorts of things and been like just
- 50:33kidding, it wasn't me, you know, And I mean so I my.
- 50:36Brother's tried to scare me on purpose anyway.
- 50:38Yeah, that's, that's what I'm saying.
- 50:39I I don't think I'm as easily scared because so much of my
- 50:42brain just puts it to that's my sister doing those things or
- 50:46this is, you know, because I've been tricked enough times that
- 50:49I'm like, no, but but that is it.
- 50:52You wouldn't live in a haunted house.
- 50:54Not a chance. I would.
- 50:55I would buy one. I literally tried to get you to
- 50:58buy one. It was a great deal.
- 51:00It was a great deal because it was haunted.
- 51:02I mean, maybe, maybe not. I was willing to take the risk.
- 51:06And if it was or not, either way, it was going to become an
- 51:10Airbnb haunted house tour, so I'd have stayed there too.
- 51:15So that is our argument on our very 15th episode.
- 51:20It's wow Quinceanera that's. Amazing 15 episodes.
- 51:27It's not anything that like it's not a benchmark or anything,
- 51:32but. Still a big number.
- 51:34To me, yeah. It's just being a teenager is a
- 51:37Seminole moment in the life of a person.
- 51:39So maybe this is a Seminole moment in the life of.
- 51:42A bar mitzvah quinceanera. Wait, is it a Bar Mitzvah 15 or
- 51:47is that? 13 I can't.
- 51:48I don't know. I don't.
- 51:49Remember. Well, someone anyway surely
- 51:52does. But but it's amazing and I'm
- 51:55happy for it. And now if people have any ideas
- 52:00out there about what you'd like to hear us argue about?
- 52:02Spooky or otherwise. Yeah.
- 52:04Either way, I mean we actually just got a great submission the
- 52:07Today that we'll talk about it. Oh, I'm excited.
- 52:10I love the idea. Ideas.
- 52:12Yeah, no, you told me the idea. Oh, I did, yeah.
- 52:15From our employees. Oh, I don't like that one, but
- 52:19that's OK. That's OK.
- 52:21Yeah, I think it'll be fine. It's worthwhile talking about it
- 52:23at some point, yeah. Yeah, maybe.
- 52:25So. Submit them to us at
- 52:26arguingeverafter@gmail.com. Look, what should they do after
- 52:30they listen? Well, for sure they should vote
- 52:32for me because we don't want to live in a haunted house, do we?
- 52:36You, me and the listeners. What?
- 52:38About the Haunted Mansion in Disney World.
- 52:40Who would want to live there? I would.
- 52:42It smells like mold on purpose. They put moldy smells in the air
- 52:46and it's got all kinds of creepy music and man, you're messed up.
- 52:50And it's think on purpose. Like that's different.
- 52:52You're talking about actually living the ride too, I suppose.
- 52:56You're talking about wanting to live in a haunted house anyway,
- 52:58so the people should vote. And obviously the poll will be
- 53:02put on Spotify. That's the only place we have
- 53:04the poll. That's also the place we have
- 53:06video. So if you're an audio listener
- 53:08right now, I highly suggest you check out a video.
- 53:12If you're going to check out anyone in particular, I'm going
- 53:14to recommend the bonus episode we put out just because we did a
- 53:18show and tell. It was kind of fun.

- 53:23are quite something sometimes. You should also obviously rate

- 53:31family that you liked us or didn't and tell them to listen
