- 0:04Speaker 1: Now it's time once again to catch up with Country Weekly,
- 0:07where we check out news and gossip from the world
- 0:10of country music. I'm your host, Ken Dawkins, and I
- 0:14will be reading from various sources found online. As a reminder,
- 0:18RADIOI is a reading service intended for people who are
- 0:21blind or have other disabilities that make it difficult to
- 0:24read printed material. We'll begin with the first article dated
- 0:28November three, and this is from Savingcountry Music dot Com.
- 0:33First up, Hot Damn. This twenty twenty six Under the
- 0:37Big Sky fest lineup is stacked. Tell anyone you owe
- 0:42money to tough luck, They're going to have to wait
- 0:44because you might be mortgaging the farm if that's what
- 0:46it takes to make it to Montana next summer for
- 0:49the Under the Big Sky Festival. They just announced their
- 0:52lineup for twenty twenty six and it's loaded top to bottom.
- 0:56One of the independent Country's biggest independent festivals is bringing
- 1:00big names to Whitefish, Montana's Big Mountain Ranch July seventeenth
- 1:04through the nineteenth. Chris Stapleton, Zach Top, and Cody Jinks
- 1:08have been announced at the twenty twenty six headliners with
- 1:11a huge list of talent beneath them like Ryan Bingham,
- 1:15Charles Wesley Godwin, Stephen Wilson Junior, Marcus King, Old Crow
- 1:18Medicine Show, and Benjamin Todd, who's hopped on and off
- 1:22a few freight trains in Whitefish in the past. If
- 1:25you want hot up and comers, they've got that too,
- 1:27with folks like Rattlesnake, Milk, Cole Cheney, Whalen Wyatt and
- 1:30Max mcnow. You have to go down the list a
- 1:33little to find the women, but then you run into
- 1:36some big ones like Caitlan Butts, Caitlin Smith and Gabriella Rose.
- 1:40Want to hear some bluegrass, They've got you covered there
- 1:42too with Hiller Mountain Grass, Unit, Green Sky Bluegrass and
- 1:46Leftover Salmon, And like always under the Big Sky make
- 1:49sure to feature local talent on their massive stages, with
- 1:52Michelle Rivers, Hannah King and Tanner Laws all performing. Along
- 1:57with all of this, there's the full blown rodeo that
- 1:59happens all weekend inciding with the event, with the creek
- 2:02and the train track running straight through the festival site,
- 2:05surrounded by mountain ranges, only sixty miles from the Canadian
- 2:08border and a skip away from Glacier National Park under
- 2:12the Big Sky rank number six on Saving Country Music's
- 2:15Best Country and Roots Festivals earlier this year, and is
- 2:18definitely a festival worth taking in, especially on a year
- 2:21when the lineup is so lush. Pre sale starts this weekend. Next,
- 2:27country legend Don Williams falls victim to fake AI album.
- 2:32When the general giant Don Williams died on September eighth
- 2:35of twenty seventeen at the age of seventy eight, it
- 2:38left an abnormally large crater in the hearts of country
- 2:41music fans and in the heart of the country music community.
- 2:44A country legend by anyone's measure, The reason the passing
- 2:47of Don Williams affected us so deeply was due to
- 2:50how it was often the music of Don Williams that
- 2:52got you to turn to when you needed to be consoled,
- 2:55including at times of the death of friends, loved ones,
- 2:58and other country legends. The reverence with which country fans
- 3:03carry the works and legacy of Don Williams in their
- 3:05hearts is one of the reasons the blatant theft of
- 3:08his identity and the use of his name to publish
- 3:11fake AI generated songs feels like such an egregious offense.
- 3:16That's exactly what happened on November one, when an entire
- 3:19album of supposed Don Williams songs was published on Spotify,
- 3:23Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube and other streaming services under
- 3:27the name God and the Horses. At first, fans of
- 3:30Don Williams felt like a gift had fallen from heaven
- 3:33in the form of a new twelve song album from
- 3:35the Country Music Hall of Famer. Maybe it was an
- 3:38archival release of recently unearthed recordings, but of course that's
- 3:42not the case at all. The clearly AI generated cover,
- 3:46the way all the songs start off with the same
- 3:48exact sequence of notes, and the fact that the copywriters
- 3:51attributed to someone named Gary Wayne Moore is a dead
- 3:54giveaway that this is an entirely fake. The music is
- 3:58still up on all the streaming services as of this post,
- 4:01though hopefully it will be taken down soon, but in
- 4:04many respects, the damage is already done. This is just
- 4:06a harbinger of things to come, as the proliferation of
- 4:09AI makes it so easy to compose an album like
- 4:11this in minutes and have it uploaded to streaming services.
- 4:14Since the guardrails and gatekeepers are removed and the entire
- 4:18process of releasing music has become automated. What makes it
- 4:22especially egregious is how these AI impostors were able to
- 4:25release this fake album under the official Don Williams accounts
- 4:29on these streaming services. The other pronouncious issue with all
- 4:34of this is to distrust this activity so throughout the
- 4:37public when it comes to well everything. When Shooter Jennings
- 4:41recently released an album of archived songs from his father,
- 4:43Whelan Jennings called Songbird, comments sections filled with people claiming
- 4:48it must be AI and not actual real recordings. Music
- 4:52legends and deceased artists, unfortunately are going to become the
- 4:54biggest victims of this activity since they're not around to
- 4:58help police it, and it's often allD fans who might
- 5:00fall victim to believing these AI generated songs, albums, and
- 5:04artists are real. This fake Don Williams album shouldn't just
- 5:08be pulled down. Streaming services should have to answer as
- 5:11to why music that someone's stolen identity was allowed to
- 5:14stay up for going on two days in counting. If
- 5:17Gary Wayne Moore is a real person and was truly
- 5:20the individual who created and uploaded it, they should be prosecuted.
- 5:24The FBI or some other organization should definitely investigate this
- 5:28praizen unprecedented incident, says saving country music. But there's also
- 5:32the possibility that all this is generated automatically through AI practices,
- 5:36and someone can simply enter the names of country legends
- 5:39in a prompt and spit out completed albums automatically uploaded
- 5:43to DSPs and start generating income with little if any
- 5:46human interaction except cashing the checks. Meanwhile, you have real,
- 5:50actual independent music artists like Cam Pierce, The Piedmont Boys,
- 5:54Slack Eyes, Slim Grace and Jenkins and a Westcoat and
- 5:58more having their albums pulled off of stream services due
- 6:01to bogus claims of AI generated streaming fraud. Don Williams
- 6:05definitely isn't the first and he most definitely will not
- 6:08be the last music legend to fall victim to fake
- 6:10AI music. This problem promises to only get worse, not better,
- 6:14over time. With all the promises AI has made and
- 6:18failed to deliver on its fraudulent activity in scams and
- 6:22useless AI slop, it seems to be flooding the marketplace
- 6:25while undermining public trust in everything. Since reality can now
- 6:28be so easily faked. Next. Beloved country singer John Wesley
- 6:33Ryles has died. John Wesley Ryles had a successful career
- 6:38as a country music performer, amassing eleven top forty hits
- 6:41over a twenty year time span, including signature songs like
- 6:45Ka recorded when he was just seventeen years old, and
- 6:48nineteen seventy seven's Once in a Lifetime Thing that reached
- 6:51the top five. But it was his work as a
- 6:53harmony singer and studio musicians, singing on countless country cuts
- 6:57that earned him the respect of so many in Nashville.
- 7:00An absolute giant in our industry, says nineties country hit
- 7:03maker Brian White. An incredible songwriter and an outstanding singer.
- 7:08When I moved to town and started singing demos for
- 7:10publishers and writers, John Wesley and I would pass each
- 7:13other in the hallways of studios all over Nashville. I
- 7:16was always in awe. His skills were unmatched. He could
- 7:19literally match the tone and phrasing of whomever he was
- 7:22singing with. Didn't matter who it was. He was flawless.
- 7:25Born and baster of Louisiana. On December fifth, nineteen fifty,
- 7:29John Wesley Ryles moved to the Dallas Fort Worth area
- 7:32when he was just ten, where his dad worked in construction.
- 7:35His father had been a gospel singer with his brothers
- 7:38in Arkansas and taught John and his sisters how to sing.
- 7:41Rails was playing guitar at the age of six. They
- 7:44would perform on local shows such as the Cowtown Hodown
- 7:48and the Big d Jamboree, as well as singing backing
- 7:51vocals for bigger acts. When Ryles arrived in Nashville with
- 7:54his family in nineteen sixty eight, at the age of seventeen,
- 7:57he was hired by well known producer George rich to
- 8:00sing the demo version of the song k. When Richie
- 8:03heard the demo, he thought it would be difficult, too
- 8:05impossible to beat it and released it as a proper
- 8:08single and went to number nine on the charts, and
- 8:11in the career of John Wesley Ryles was launched recording
- 8:14four Columbia Records. They changed his last name from I
- 8:18guess It's reels to Ryles because they were worried DJs
- 8:21and others would have a hard time pronouncing it like
- 8:24I just did. His next couple of singles would stall
- 8:27outside of the top fifty, and Ryles would spend much
- 8:29of his career pinballing between labels, including recording for Plantation, Dot, MCA,
- 8:34Warner and others. Throughout his career, he would occasionally land
- 8:38a minor hit, including his version of You Are Always
- 8:40On My Mind that hit number twenty in nineteen seventy nine.
- 8:44Throughout the seventies and eighties, Riles would supplant his career
- 8:47by singing harmonies with others, both live and in the studio.
- 8:51In nineteen eighty eight, after his last single, Nobody Knows,
- 8:54stalled outside the top fifty once again, Wiles focused on
- 8:58his career almost solely on singing harmony on studio recordings,
- 9:01and quickly became one of the most in demand harmony
- 9:04singers around. Willie Nelson, Conway, Twitty Whalen Jennings, Garth Brooks,
- 9:09Clint black Allan Jackson, Jeene Watson, Craig Campbell, Aaron Watson,
- 9:13Kenny Chesney, Joe Nichols, Martina McBride, Terry Clark, and so
- 9:16on and so forth all recorded songs with John Wesley
- 9:20Ryles singing harmonies with them, and he remained prolific well
- 9:24into the early twenty twenties its Indently, Ryles was married
- 9:27to fellow country singer Joni Lee, who is also the
- 9:31daughter of Conway Twitty. John Wesley Riles passed away on Sunday,
- 9:35November two at the age of seventy four, leaving behind
- 9:38a huge, if somewhat unherlded legacy from being the other
- 9:41singer on so many timeless country classics. Now we trot
- 9:46on over to allcountrynews dot com. First headline, CMA Country

- 11:56at the holiday table. So mark your calendar, prep your
- 12:00hot cocoa. CMA Country Christmas returns again. That's December two,
- 12:05nine Eastern, eighth Central and ABC. Next, Ashley McBride doubles
- 12:11down on Lower Broadway with twenty twenty six Redemption Residency.
- 12:16Ashley McBride has never been interested in doing the expected,
- 12:20so when the Grammy, CMA and ACM ward winner planted
- 12:22her flag at Neon Steeple at Chiefs for the Redemption
- 12:26Residency earlier this year, fans knew they weren't just buying
- 12:29a ticket, they were stepping into her world. Now McBride
- 12:32is extending that invitation deep into twenty twenty six, promising
- 12:36more storytelling, more grit, and more nights that can only
- 12:39be described as so Ashley. This isn't a residency built
- 12:43on repeat performances. It's a series of intentionally crafted experiences.
- 12:47Eight shows, four themes, countless reasons to keep coming back.
- 12:51January and March will be something called just Me in
- 12:54My Shadow McBride alone with her guitar, no safety net,
- 12:58no distractions. This is where the Arkansas native's unmatched storytelling
- 13:01becomes a spotlight all its own, the kind of performance
- 13:04that reminds you why she's a writer first and a
- 13:07world class performer second. These solo acoustic nights are built
- 13:11for goosebumps and truth telling. In February, in the middle
- 13:14of that Postcards from Lindeville, her fictional town of misfits
- 13:18and real life truths, returned to the stage for a
- 13:21double header. Fans obsessed with the Easter eggs and character
- 13:24arcs and songs spanning jeloppies and expensive guitars to the
- 13:29Devil I Know, will find themselves right back in the
- 13:31neighborhood Lindaville lives, and it gets its rowdy, It gets
- 13:35really rowdy after dark. In April, its mixtape from the
- 13:38mixed up years two nights of songs that shaped her
- 13:42cover sets mapping McBride's own crooked, fearless climb from Arkansas
- 13:47biker bars to grand old opry member and genre shaping force.
- 13:51It's a love letter to the music that made her
- 13:53dangerous in the best way. And speaking of Redemption, bar
- 13:57McBride's non alcoholic forward hangout has already become Lower Broadway's
- 14:01boldest statement in a town soaked in whiskey and neon.
- 14:05She's building a new kind of sanctuary, one where you
- 14:07can keep your witch sharp while the music hits even harder.
- 14:11Ashley McBride doesn't just put on a show, shoe creates
- 14:14a chapter. With this extension of the Redemption Residency, twenty
- 14:17twenty six is looking like one hell of a story.
- 14:21Now we back up to countrynow dot com with the
- 14:24first article published November fourth. Cowetzel, Treaty, Oak Revival and

- 16:25it's tailgating, fishing, floating the river, or jamming late into
- 16:28the night. The party starts long before the first note
- 16:31plays and does an end when the headliner leaves the stage.
- 16:36New this year, the festivals introducing a fast pass, giving
- 16:39fans quicker entry into the grounds and access to exclusive
- 16:42fast pass lines at all GA bars. Cattle Country festivals
- 16:46also offering discounts for locals, military members, students, teachers, and
- 16:50first responders. Next, Laney Wilson kicks off rescheduled Houston show
- 16:57with emotional thank you to fans and pulls off hilarious
- 17:00end of tour prank. Landy Wilson was filled with gratitudeor
- 17:05she welcomed her Houston, Texas fans to the Whirlwind World
- 17:07Tour over the weekend. The country superstar came out stronger
- 17:11than ever before for the rescheduled date that was postponed
- 17:14earlier this fall. When she finally returned to Houston, the
- 17:17moment hit her heart. In a video captured from the
- 17:20crowd by Houston's ninety two Q Country, Wilson can be
- 17:23seen kicking off the night with an emotional speech in
- 17:26which she thanked the pack crowd at the Cynthia Woods
- 17:29Mitchell Pavilion for sticking by her. I just want to
- 17:32say thank you all so much for showing back up tonight,
- 17:34Wilson told the crowd, her voice full of gratitude. Cheers
- 17:38echoed through the venue. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I
- 17:41was in the bind, so thank you so much for understanding,
- 17:44and I'm feeling one hundred percent so I'm going to
- 17:46give it one hundred and ninety percent tonight. She went
- 17:50on to gush over her loyal listeners, noting that she
- 17:52has the best fans in the entire world. With that,
- 17:55she brought the energy back up and explained the empowering
- 17:58mission behind her twenty twenty five headlining to her before
- 18:01diving into her next anthem of the night, watermelon moonshine.
- 18:05I know it feels like life can be a whirlwind
- 18:07a lot of time, and we're all just trying to
- 18:09keep one foot on the ground. I know it. But
- 18:12tonight we're going to lay it down. We're going to
- 18:14celebrate it. We're going to embrace it, and I think
- 18:16the best way to do that is by singing about
- 18:18some watermelon moonshine. The concert also featured plenty of laughs
- 18:22when she decided to pull off a hilarious prank on
- 18:25her opening act Muscadeine Bloodline, before the duo returned to
- 18:29the stage to join Wilson for an acoustic portion of
- 18:31her set. The Louisiana native told the crowd, I've been
- 18:34wanting to do this prank for a long time. Meanwhile,
- 18:38members of her team were seen carrying out and cleaning
- 18:41a pair of toilet seats instead of the usual benches
- 18:44that appear on stage for the songwriters Muscadine Bloodline, come
- 18:48out here. I want you to sit on your throne
- 18:49and sing a song with me, she said, calling the duo.
- 18:53Wilson also assured them that the toilets were brand new.
- 18:56I was thinking about it. It was like, if I ever
- 18:58do an acoustic part of my show where I've got
- 19:00somebody come out, I'm going to make them sit on
- 19:01a toilet and do it. I think that they're all
- 19:04full of you know what. That's why I really wanted
- 19:06to do this. She continued to gush over the band,
- 19:09adding when I tell you I'm the biggest fan, I'm
- 19:11also so thankful and proud to have you all out
- 19:13here with us. Gary Stanton, one half of the duel,
- 19:16returned the praise for Wilson, as he told the crowd,
- 19:19We've been on this tour for five weeks and it's
- 19:21been an absolute blast playing in front of Lany's fans.
- 19:23She has the best fans in country music. The memorable
- 19:27night was originally supposed to take place in September. However,
- 19:30Wilson informed fans at the time that she'd fallen ill
- 19:32and was unable to perform, so she made the tough
- 19:35decision to reschedule the show. Since she was clearly heartbroken
- 19:39to have to disappoint the fans who were waiting to
- 19:41see her, Wilson was determined to make it right, and
- 19:43she did that on Saturday, November first. Hey all, I'm
- 19:47sorry to do this, she said an emotional video, but
- 19:49I'm going to need to reschedule tonight's show in Houston
- 19:52on Saturday, November first. All previously purchased tickets will be
- 19:56honored for that new date. She ended up by the
- 19:59clip golling a kiss to the camera. The Whirlwind tour
- 20:02is nearing the end, with only two dates left. She'll
- 20:04wrap things up with performances in Tampa on November seventh
- 20:08and Orlando on November eighth. Now we move along to
- 20:13the boot dot Com with the article dated November fifth,
- 20:17Guy Fieri tried to have Gretchen Wilson booted from John
- 20:20Rich's Redneck Riviera. According to Gretchen Wilson, Guy Fieri once
- 20:25tried to have her booted from John Rich's Redneck Riviera,
- 20:28a restaurant, and the story is somewhat comical. Wilson was
- 20:32a guest on Taste of Country Nights, where she was
- 20:34asked what the craziest phone number in her phone contact is?
- 20:38The rest just float out the Redneck woman singer said,
- 20:42how do you say his name? That cooking guy, and
- 20:45she was asked, you can get in touch with Guy Fieri.
- 20:48Wilson replied, I can, but I don't. Wilson continued, When
- 20:52John Rich opened up his restaurant, Redneck Rivier in Las Vegas,
- 20:56Guy and I were seated at a table across from
- 20:58each other. Is because when I first sat down, he
- 21:01didn't know who I was, and he tried to have
- 21:03me removed. Wilson, being the fierce woman that she is,
- 21:07was not having that at all. She said, it's one
- 21:10of those drinking nights. We're going to see who's here
- 21:12in a minute, spiky hair. I was like, because he's
- 21:15my brother and I'm sitting right here. After that encounter,
- 21:18Wilson said that Fiery backed down. They both got a
- 21:21chuckle over the brief dispute and actually ended up exchanging
- 21:24phone numbers. A brief Internet search shows that John Rich's
- 21:28Redneck Riviera's the Las Vegas location opened in twenty seventeen.
- 21:32There was a VIP grand opening celebration on February sixteenth
- 21:36that year. The Vegas location has since closed. In the
- 21:39eight years since, Fierrey and Wilson may have both gotten
- 21:42new phone numbers, but will never know because Wilson will
- 21:45likely never hit up the Spiky Hair Chef and Entrepreneur anytime.
- 21:49Soon after John Rich's read Riviera, Las Vegas location closed
- 21:54and now remains only one location. It's in Nashville on
- 21:57Lower Broadway, and Wilson, of course as a cook and
- 22:00a bartender one time, she moved to Nashville to pursue
- 22:03her musical career. Moving along, Jake Owen reveals how being
- 22:09a single guy again shaped his new album. Jake Owen
- 22:13was a guest on Taste of Country Nights, where he
- 22:15revealed that he was indeed single again. In Life after
- 22:18fiance Eric hertline was lonely, he was engulfed in a
- 22:21deep conversation about life, music and sobriety, and honestly, Owen
- 22:25kind of broke his breakup news in Passing the Beach,
- 22:29and singer said, man, in the last couple of years,
- 22:31I've gone through my second separation and going back to
- 22:34being just like this single guy. I was alone, dude,
- 22:36I really felt alone. There were times I felt like
- 22:39I had to get high so I couldn't cry. He
- 22:41adds the second half of that sentence was not meant literally.
- 22:44It came during a conversation about how Hank Williams Junior
- 22:47has affected his life and music. Williams has a song
- 22:50called Feeling Better with that lyric. Owen and his ex fiancee,
- 22:54Erica Heartline, had been together since twenty nineteen and engaged
- 22:59since December of twenty They share a daughter together, Paris Hartley,
- 23:03the Barefoot Blue gene Knight singer, is a dedicated father
- 23:07to his two children, Paris and Pearl, who's twelve. He
- 23:10was even a few minutes late to the interview due
- 23:12to being stuck in traffic after dropping his youngest off
- 23:15at school. Even though his separations, even through his separations,
- 23:19he always shows massive amounts of love for his two daughters. Still,
- 23:24I suppose I'm a hard man to love, and I'm
- 23:25still working on me, he admits. Owen is taking this
- 23:29time in his life to work on not only himself
- 23:31but his music. He explained that he had to leave
- 23:33Nashville and his record label behind in order to thrive
- 23:36and come out of his emotional hardships. There's a reference
- 23:39to Hank william Junior's Feeling Better in the title track
- 23:42of Owen's new Dreams to Dream album, which is out
- 23:45this weekend. Shooter Jennings produced the album, which completes a
- 23:49full circle. His father, Whalen Jennings, co produced Williams's New
- 23:53South album in nineteen seventy seven. The project featured Feeling Better. Next,
- 24:00Jannye Chesney talks about retirement. When will he call it quits?
- 24:05After getting inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame
- 24:07and with his fifty eighth birthday just around the corner,
- 24:11some fans might be wondering if Kenny Chesney plans to
- 24:14retire or slow down. Chesney recently spoke to people dot
- 24:18com about retirement and when he might call it quits. Thankfully,
- 24:21the country music legend with thirty number one songs under
- 24:25his belt, is still going strong. I love creating, That's
- 24:28what I've always done, so I don't see slowing down
- 24:30in my near future, he told the publication speaking on
- 24:33Taste of Country Nights in a recent interview, fellow country
- 24:36star Landy Wilson told host Evan Paul that she had
- 24:39twenty twenty six almost fully mapped out already. Chesney's looking
- 24:43even farther ahead. My life is already so planned out.
- 24:46I know what I'm doing. In twenty twenty seven, he
- 24:48told People Plus, the musician feels most alive when performing
- 24:52to a stadium crowd. I love what I do, I
- 24:54love making music, and I love being on that stage
- 24:57more than any place in the world, he shared with Chesney,
- 25:01being single and having no kids, he really doesn't have
- 25:03anything holding him back from playing shows until he's Willie
- 25:06Nelson's age Nelson's, of course ninety two. Chesney's twenty twenty
- 25:11five Vegas Sphere residency was so popular He's already signed
- 25:14up for more dates in twenty twenty six, beginning next
- 25:17year in June, and Chesney credits his own mother for
- 25:20instilling that beachy vibe into the no shoes, no shirt,
- 25:23no problem singer. You can give my mom credit on
- 25:26this one too. I've always been a fan of feel
- 25:28good music. We would go to the beach as a kid,
- 25:30and she loved beach music, and she just loved so
- 25:34to feel good and loved to make other people feel good.
- 25:37So that's always been infused in my thinking when I
- 25:39either listen to music or if I'm creating it, he
- 25:41explained to people. And finally we move over to Tastes
- 25:45of Country with the first article published on November fourth,
- 25:49how streaming platforms shaped the new era of country music.
- 25:53Country music has always succeeded on storytelling, community, and authenticity.
- 25:57In recent years, the way fans discover and can with
- 26:00artists has shifted a lot, which is thanks to the
- 26:02rise of streaming platforms in social media. Of course, this
- 26:06transformation is not just changing how people listen to music,
- 26:09but also how artists build their careers and how the
- 26:12industry measures success. It's not just about radio or buying
- 26:16CDs anymore. Streaming services including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube
- 26:22play a big role in how people discover new artists
- 26:25and how famous musicians get noticed by more people. With
- 26:28these platforms, fans can listen to music anytime, which helps
- 26:32new artists find their audiences more easily. This change also
- 26:36means country musicians are mixing styles with other genres, including pop,
- 26:40hip hop, and folk. This blending creates a newer, more
- 26:44modern sound that attracts younger fans. The rise in popularity
- 26:49around country music is because it is flexible and has
- 26:52a strong online presence, as explained in the article on
- 26:55country music popularity, which shows how fast it's growing and
- 26:59how much it is affecting the music world. Podcasts have
- 27:02become a powerful tool for artists and fans alike. Through
- 27:06behind the scenes interviews, exclusive song premieres, and candid conversations,
- 27:11podcasts offer a direct line to the personalities behind the music.
- 27:15This allows artists to share their journey, inspirations, and challenges
- 27:18in their own words, which helps deepen the pond with
- 27:21their listeners. These efforts not only provide fans with unique content,
- 27:26but also foster a sense of community and belonging that
- 27:29is the heart of country music culture. With the growth
- 27:33of streaming services and social media, the music industry now
- 27:37has clear and measurable ways to track performance than they've
- 27:40ever had before. They have charts now which show real
- 27:44time data on how many people are currently listening, how
- 27:47often songs are shared, and where they appear on playlists.
- 27:51This helps to give a better picture of what fans like.
- 27:53Most artists and record companies can use this information to
- 27:56plan wend to release music, where to go on tour,
- 27:59and how to prom mote their music. It also makes
- 28:02it easier for young independent artists to stand out and
- 28:04compete with big name artists from major labels. For the fans,
- 28:08this means they can discover a wider range of music
- 28:10and actually influence an artist's popularity through the way they
- 28:13listen and engage online. As streaming services in social media
- 28:18keep changing, country music is getting even closer to its fans.
- 28:22This teamwork between artists and listeners means a bright future
- 28:25where old traditions mix with new ideas and everyone gets
- 28:28to share their thoughts and influence the path of the music.
- 28:32This concludes the reading of Country Weekly for this week.
