SPEAKER_01: Hi and welcome to Assassin's Sips.
• 0:11
SPEAKER_01: Today we're gonna talk about reunion season.
• 0:15
  SPEAKER_02: Of course.
• 0:16
  SPEAKER_02: That's what I'm here for.
• 0:17
  SPEAKER_02: Go ahead.
• 0:23
SPEAKER_01: Today we are going to talk about reunion season one, episode 10, 1995.
• 0:31
SPEAKER_01: I'm Lisa and I am sipping on some red wine.
• 0:35
  SPEAKER_01: It's a red blend.
• 0:38
  SPEAKER_01: It's I don't know.
• 0:40
  SPEAKER_02: It's a blend.
• 0:45
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 0:46
SPEAKER_01: It says red blend, red wine blend.
• 0:49
  SPEAKER_01: Alright, sure.
• 0:50
SPEAKER_01: It was in my box.
• 0:51
  SPEAKER_01: It's from Portugal.
• 0:52
  SPEAKER_01: It's actually really good.
• 0:55
  SPEAKER_00: Yay!
• 0:56
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yay.
• 0:58
  SPEAKER_00: And I'm Agnes.
• 1:00
SPEAKER_00: And I am drinking blueberry lavender cappuccino with Kahlua.
• 1:06
  SPEAKER_00: Yummy.
• 1:08
  SPEAKER_00: I'm fancy.
• 1:10
  SPEAKER_01: Did you?
• 1:11
SPEAKER_01: I had a hot take for this.
• 1:12
  SPEAKER_00: I do too.
• 1:13
  SPEAKER_01: You guys?
• 1:14
  SPEAKER_01: Yes.
• 1:15
SPEAKER_01: Because mine is written down, I won't forget.
• 1:17
SPEAKER_00: I am so upset at myself.
• 1:19
SPEAKER_00: I'm so mad at myself for not seeing the obvious.
• 1:23
SPEAKER_00: Last week we talked about Pascal, and we were like, oh, this little shady.
• 1:29
  SPEAKER_00: How does she?
• 1:31
SPEAKER_00: But this week it hit me the first two minutes in.
• 1:34
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, no wonder she keeps not calling, not telling she's pregnant, breaking up, walking to her parents.
• 1:40
SPEAKER_00: She knew from that one night stand that he was hooked on Carla.
• 1:47
SPEAKER_00: And she knew what we knew, but she knew it in a way that we didn't know it.
• 1:54
SPEAKER_00: I.e., when they left that first night stand, she knew or thought or assumed that he was going back to Carla.
• 2:02
SPEAKER_00: No, I'm not going to tell him I'm pregnant.
• 2:04
SPEAKER_00: She left when they were having problems in their marriage.
• 2:10
SPEAKER_00: She saw what we always saw and didn't click.
• 2:15
SPEAKER_00: Mike hung up on his on Carla, hung up on his friend.
• 2:19
SPEAKER_00: And two don't didn't know each other.
• 2:24
SPEAKER_00: So I can see how their relationship was always a little wonky, and she left to go to she went back to her family.
• 2:32
SPEAKER_00: And was it Paris or just France?
• 2:35
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 2:36
SPEAKER_00: She went back to France.
• 2:38
SPEAKER_00: And so I'm mad at myself for being like, mm, that's kind of shady.
• 2:44
SPEAKER_00: No, it really makes sense now.
• 2:47
SPEAKER_00: Es when, you know, hey, that we're engaged, and his face was just like, oh, and Pascal looking at him like, why the fuck are you upset?
• 2:57
  SPEAKER_01: Um I I I don't fully agree with you.
• 3:01
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 3:02
  SPEAKER_01: Here's why.
• 3:03
SPEAKER_01: I think that in terms of shady, I think it is shady because no matter how you think that he feels about Carla, I think that it's unfair for you to withhold that information.
• 3:24
SPEAKER_01: And then two years after the kid is born, then it's like, okay, well, let's tell him.
• 3:33
SPEAKER_01: Yes, he was in love with Carla.
• 3:35
  SPEAKER_01: Yes, she realized that.
• 3:37
SPEAKER_01: But the kid is an innocent pawn in this game.
• 3:43
  SPEAKER_00: I agree with you.
• 3:44
SPEAKER_01: And so I would say that if you if you never had any intention of having him in your daughter's life, then that's right, wrong, or indifferent.
• 3:58
SPEAKER_01: That's a decision that you make, then that's your decision.
• 4:03
SPEAKER_01: You know, regardless of whether I agree or not, right?
• 4:06
SPEAKER_01: But if you want him to be in the kid's life, that's your daughter, that's his daughter, that's fine.
• 4:14
SPEAKER_01: But you gotta give him the option.
• 4:16
SPEAKER_01: Even with that being said, right, let's say, okay, I'm on the same page with you.
• 4:22
SPEAKER_01: Then she goes back to France, and then turns out she's pregnant again, and then she's like, okay, well, I'm pregnant again.
• 4:30
SPEAKER_01: I don't also think that just because two people share children, they don't necessarily have to be in a relationship, in a marriage relationship.
• 4:39
SPEAKER_01: There are many different ways to relationship, there are many different ways to parent, and you got to find what works for you.
• 4:44
SPEAKER_01: And if being in a so-called committed marriage relationship is not what works for you, then don't do it.
• 4:54
SPEAKER_01: You can still raise the kids together, you can still be a part of the children's life.
• 4:57
  SPEAKER_01: It will look different.
• 4:59
SPEAKER_01: But as a kid who came from divorced parents, I think we have to be mindful of what those kids are seeing.
• 5:09
SPEAKER_01: Because even if you're trying to make it work for the kids, those kids might not be seeing a loving household.
• 5:16
SPEAKER_01: They might be seeing the bad part, which is, you know.
• 5:22
SPEAKER_00: My opinion, like my statement was more specific about what we were talking about last week, as far as is he really the father?
• 5:29
  SPEAKER_00: It's like I don't think it's I don't think she, I don't think the pregnancies were as shady as we thought.
• 5:35
  SPEAKER_01: I see.
• 5:36
SPEAKER_01: I I'm still in the fence about that.
• 5:38
SPEAKER_00: I still think the whole back and forth is more emotional relationship was work was doesn't work.
• 5:43
SPEAKER_00: I don't think it was, oh, I'm lying about the father.
• 5:46
  SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm right.
• 5:48
  SPEAKER_03: Okay.
• 5:50
SPEAKER_00: Our discussion last week was specifically about that.
• 5:53
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I still have opinions on the relationship.
• 5:56
  SPEAKER_01: You do?
• 5:57
  SPEAKER_01: I'm surprised.
• 5:58
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, I know.
• 5:58
  SPEAKER_01: I never have opinions.
• 6:02
SPEAKER_01: However, my hot take was not about them.
• 6:04
SPEAKER_01: My hot take was about Will.
• 6:06
SPEAKER_01: You ever think the priesting is an act?
• 6:09
SPEAKER_01: Is it possible that he is not actually a priest?
• 6:12
SPEAKER_00: I did think he has a lot of fucking jobs in the last just eight, nine years.
• 6:17
  SPEAKER_00: That's that's one.
• 6:19
SPEAKER_00: Um, and then the then that actually kind of that's a an exceptional hot take.
• 6:24
  SPEAKER_00: I'm co-signing, I'm jumping on that bandwagon, Lisa.
• 6:27
SPEAKER_00: I'm on there with you.
• 6:28
SPEAKER_01: I thought about it in the beginning of the episode, like literally in the first scene, and then as the episode continued on, and especially when we get to the end of the episode, I'm like, what if this is a fucking act?
• 6:42
  SPEAKER_01: You know?
• 6:43
SPEAKER_00: I mean, what what better protection than a priest?
• 6:50
SPEAKER_00: But didn't the archbishop like, wasn't he like pulled out by like the archbishop or something during one of his interviews?
• 6:56
  SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
• 6:57
SPEAKER_01: I mean, and he he really could be a priest, but maybe it's not for altruistic reasons or because he heard the faith calling him.
• 7:05
SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
• 7:06
  SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's That's a huge sacrifice to make.
• 7:09
  SPEAKER_01: Maybe.
• 7:11
SPEAKER_00: Talk about playing the long game.
• 7:13
  SPEAKER_02: Like, okay.
• 7:18
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 7:19
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I don't know.
• 7:20
SPEAKER_00: And then the end, it's just so obvious.
• 7:23
  SPEAKER_00: I feel like there's a twist to that.
• 7:26
SPEAKER_00: Because I'm like, remember last week we talked about, I I said that he did it, but I'm like, okay, that's too obvious now.
• 7:31
SPEAKER_00: So he can't have, he couldn't have done it.
• 7:33
  SPEAKER_01: No.
• 7:34
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 7:35
SPEAKER_00: They was put it out there.
• 7:36
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, okay, now you just fucked up my theory because you just showed it, so that can't be it.
• 7:42
SPEAKER_00: So mad at them for proving me wrong so quickly.
• 7:46
SPEAKER_01: When we left off in the last episode, we left off with the detective getting run down by a car and being left in the alley for for dead or whatever.
• 7:56
SPEAKER_00: And then 30 seconds later, here comes Father Will.
• 8:01
  SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
• 8:03
SPEAKER_01: And he is, oh look, somebody just got hit by a car four seconds ago, and yet here I am in this alley behind the precinct with my cell phone so that I can call an ambulance.
• 8:15
  SPEAKER_01: It's very, very convenient.
• 8:18
SPEAKER_01: The present-day scenes were sporadically interspersed in this episode, but there wasn't much, so I'm just gonna leave them for the end.
• 8:29
SPEAKER_01: In 1995, it we open on To the Loft, and Craig sets Will up on a blind date.
• 8:37
SPEAKER_01: So he's having dinner with Sam and Craig, and he's like, Oh yeah, and this date, don't worry, you're gonna love her, blah, blah, blah.
• 8:44
SPEAKER_01: But Craig sets her up because he has ulterior motives.
• 8:48
  SPEAKER_00: Of course.
• 8:49
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it turns out that even though she's gorgeous and her and Will are totally into each other, she happens to be a congressman's daughter, and it's the seat that Craig wants to go after.
• 9:01
SPEAKER_01: We see Carla and Peter at Bedford Hollow, and they decide to get engaged so that they can save on rent.
• 9:07
SPEAKER_01: And then the next thing is we're back at the dinner.
• 9:12
SPEAKER_01: Craig is a Sox fan, like a Red Sox fan.
• 9:16
  SPEAKER_01: Fuck the Red Sox.
• 9:18
SPEAKER_01: How the fuck are you a Red Sox fan and you're from New York?
• 9:23
SPEAKER_01: Side note: even though Sam's voice gets annoying to me in these episodes, I feel like every episode we watch, Craig annoys me more and more.
• 9:36
SPEAKER_01: And it's like he's slimier and slimier.
• 9:40
  SPEAKER_01: Like he's skeevy almost.
• 9:43
  SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
• 9:44
  SPEAKER_01: His his character.
• 9:45
SPEAKER_00: And I love that as far as character development is concerned.
• 9:50
SPEAKER_00: I like not loving a character completely.
• 9:54
SPEAKER_00: I love not hating a character completely.
• 9:56
SPEAKER_00: I love having different feelings for a character depending on different times of the same episode.
• 10:03
SPEAKER_00: That makes me want to watch a show.
• 10:06
SPEAKER_01: It's real, it's more realistic because people are not just lovable or likable.
• 10:11
SPEAKER_01: People are multifaceted and you don't like everybody.
• 10:14
  SPEAKER_00: They're onions.
• 10:17
SPEAKER_00: I okay, side note, I wonder when the writers wrote that line in Shrek, onions have layers.
• 10:24
SPEAKER_00: I wonder if they knew at that point that was going to be a thing 30 years later.
• 10:33
SPEAKER_00: And continue to be one.
• 10:34
SPEAKER_00: Like that's one of those things that it's a thing.
• 10:37
  SPEAKER_00: Everyone knows it.
• 10:38
SPEAKER_00: People who don't even know where it came from, you say onions have layers.
• 10:42
  SPEAKER_00: I'm like an onion.
• 10:43
  SPEAKER_00: I have layers.
• 10:44
SPEAKER_00: And they're not even old enough to know where that came from.
• 10:46
  SPEAKER_00: I love that.
• 10:47
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 11:15
SPEAKER_01: Will ends up seeing through Craig's plan and he leaves, but she follows him and calls him out.
• 11:22
SPEAKER_01: So now he loves her.
• 11:23
SPEAKER_00: Man led to be abused.
• 11:26
  SPEAKER_01: I think so.
• 11:28
SPEAKER_01: Apparently, things have been working out for Craig, for Will and Catherine, because Craig is like, oh my God, I've been trying to call you.
• 11:37
  SPEAKER_01: Because it's another day.
• 11:38
  SPEAKER_01: It's like a week later.
• 11:39
SPEAKER_01: Craig is like, I've been trying to call you.
• 11:40
SPEAKER_01: I thought you were mad at me for setting you up.
• 11:42
SPEAKER_01: And Will is like, no, we've just been having the best week.
• 11:46
  SPEAKER_01: Everything is great.
• 11:48
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 11:49
SPEAKER_01: You know what happens on TV when things are too good.
• 11:52
  SPEAKER_01: We'll get there.
• 11:53
SPEAKER_00: No good could come out of good.
• 11:55
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 11:58
SPEAKER_01: We find out that Aaron and Prescal are in couples therapy.
• 12:01
SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, well, maybe a relationship would be better if he actually spent more fucking time at home.
• 12:07
SPEAKER_01: Because it's like he gets home from work and then it's like, oh, but where were you?
• 12:13
SPEAKER_01: Oh, but I had to work, and then I was out with Jenna, and now me and Peter are gonna go play basketball.
• 12:18
SPEAKER_01: And it's like, buddy, you have to spend some time with your wife to get to, you know.
• 12:25
SPEAKER_01: I get it, you have friends, and as a wife, I don't care if you spend time, but just because you bring home the paycheck doesn't mean that you make the rules.
• 12:36
SPEAKER_01: Doesn't mean that your free time is any more valuable than mine.
• 12:39
SPEAKER_00: And it feels, and she even said it, we've never had just us with you not bringing in your friends.
• 12:46
SPEAKER_00: And living together is not having quality time together.
• 12:49
  SPEAKER_01: It's not.
• 12:51
  SPEAKER_01: That is correct.
• 12:53
SPEAKER_01: Jenna is seeing another married man.
• 12:56
SPEAKER_01: And I'm at this point, I'm like, you see, she's on to something.
• 12:59
SPEAKER_01: Because it's like, yeah, for 20 minutes a day, you're you're his dream girl.
• 13:03
SPEAKER_01: Uh, you know, until he has to get back home to his wife.
• 13:05
SPEAKER_01: And but like, yeah, you know, as long as you don't want a relationship, that's great.
• 13:14
SPEAKER_01: There is a party at the congressman's house.
• 13:18
SPEAKER_01: And so obviously, Will and well, the daughter, Catherine, invites Will, and then by extension, Craig and Sam get invited.
• 13:26
SPEAKER_01: And things are like, oh, it's so nice, it's going pretty well.
• 13:29
SPEAKER_01: The dad is like, hey, join me outside for a cigar.
• 13:32
  SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, sometimes a cigar isn't just a cigar.
• 13:41
  SPEAKER_01: It's an ambush.
• 13:43
SPEAKER_01: The dad is calling Will out because he's like, Well, I'm trying to get to the part.
• 13:47
SPEAKER_01: He's like, Oh, like what what's your past and this job and that job, and you did this, and you fought in in I was gonna say Vietnam in Gulf War and Desert Storm.
• 13:56
  SPEAKER_01: Desert storm.
• 13:58
SPEAKER_01: Um, and he's like, Well, I'm trying to get to the part where you were locked up.
• 14:02
SPEAKER_01: And I'm just like, as a parent, I get it because you want your kids to associate with people who are not going to create risk for them.
• 14:16
SPEAKER_01: But my God, Will, all he had to say was, I was 18 and I was and I did something dumb and I was in an accident and I paid.
• 14:28
SPEAKER_01: And we get back to the same thing that I keep saying, like, aside from the fact that he wasn't the one driving, even if we take it at face value, right?
• 14:42
SPEAKER_01: Even if he was the one driving, even if he did make a mistake and run a stop sign and hit someone and the guy died, and it's all very tragic.
• 14:49
SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm so not trying to make light, even though it is a TV show.
• 14:53
SPEAKER_01: I'm not trying to make light of that fact.
• 14:56
SPEAKER_01: But it was not done maliciously.
• 14:59
  SPEAKER_01: It was an accident.
• 15:01
SPEAKER_01: He went to jail, he served his time.
• 15:04
SPEAKER_01: How long are we supposed to condemn people for mistakes that they have made that they have paid for?
• 15:12
  SPEAKER_01: What's the point then?
• 15:14
SPEAKER_01: Then for that, he should have been stoned to death if he cannot ever escape this.
• 15:18
SPEAKER_00: Well, also, not only is he coming from a position of being a father, he's also coming from a position of being a politician.
• 15:25
SPEAKER_00: I know, but I'm gonna say right, wrong, or indifferent.
• 15:28
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 15:29
SPEAKER_00: He's it's I think in 2005, I think people no, when was this in 1995 people still cared about that stuff when voting for their politicians.
• 15:42
SPEAKER_00: And we also know that, you know, politicians are the epitome of hypocrisy.
• 15:49
SPEAKER_00: So I mean, did you expect anything less than that reaction from it?
• 15:58
SPEAKER_01: Because e even if what happened did even if what they think happened happened, I mean at the end of the day, it was a car accident.
• 16:06
SPEAKER_01: It wasn't like he went and and bought a gun.
• 16:08
SPEAKER_01: He wasn't gangbanging and caught someone out.
• 16:10
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 16:10
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 16:10
SPEAKER_01: He wasn't a gang member, he wasn't doing anything illegal.
• 16:13
SPEAKER_00: He was besides on paper drinking drinking driving drunk.
• 16:17
SPEAKER_01: Right, driving his car and and he wasn't even drunk technically.
• 16:21
SPEAKER_00: Right, he was sober, right?
• 16:22
SPEAKER_00: Because they did the blood test.
• 16:23
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 16:24
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 16:24
SPEAKER_01: And he made a mistake, and yes, the mistake cost someone their life, but it was an accident.
• 16:32
SPEAKER_01: It's it's hard for me to wrap my brain around this because we have to s to stop making people pay for mistakes that they've already paid for.
• 16:46
SPEAKER_01: Like we can't hold on to shit forever.
• 16:49
  SPEAKER_01: But anyway, okay.
• 16:51
SPEAKER_01: You know, and as a parent, I get it.
• 16:53
SPEAKER_01: I would not want my children to necessarily be with someone who has killed someone or who who has been to jail.
• 17:01
SPEAKER_01: But we have to look at the big picture sometimes.
• 17:04
  SPEAKER_01: But exactly.
• 17:05
SPEAKER_01: And we need to get into it.
• 17:07
SPEAKER_01: And we all know, we or we all should know that our justice is uh our justice system is not always just so there's there's a lot at play, but okay, let's move on.
• 17:27
SPEAKER_01: He basically tells him to stay away from his daughter, and then that's it, like that's final.
• 17:31
  SPEAKER_01: Also, that's a bad move.
• 17:36
SPEAKER_01: You might as well have just told her, hey, why don't you just go run off and marry this guy?
• 17:42
SPEAKER_01: So Will leaves and apparently the dad rats him out to Catherine, and Catherine comes running after him, and Will ends up telling her the truth.
• 17:59
SPEAKER_01: Which I'm like all the face plants, like all the the face slaps, you know, like why would you do that?
• 18:07
SPEAKER_01: That's a dangerous, dangerous thing to do.
• 18:11
  SPEAKER_02: But for who?
• 18:12
  SPEAKER_00: For Craig.
• 18:14
SPEAKER_00: At this point, Will can't get any more trouble.
• 18:18
SPEAKER_00: So it's a dangerous thing for Craig.
• 18:21
SPEAKER_00: And only if perjury no longer I think I they passed the statute.
• 18:27
SPEAKER_00: Perjury doesn't last that long.
• 18:28
SPEAKER_00: I mean, we looked it up before.
• 18:30
SPEAKER_01: I mean, he is he is in law school, so he should know.
• 18:32
SPEAKER_00: So actually, it's not really a dumb move for him personally.
• 18:37
SPEAKER_01: It is and it isn't.
• 18:39
SPEAKER_01: It it isn't because he cannot get into legal trouble, but it is because you're this guy's campaign manager, and you're literally telling like the enemy.
• 18:54
SPEAKER_00: Well, at this point, he says he's not even campaign manager, he's his chief of staff.
• 18:59
SPEAKER_00: And oh, is he chief of staff at this point?
• 19:03
SPEAKER_00: They've already won the other election.
• 19:05
SPEAKER_00: Right, but I thought he was gonna be the he wants to he um Craig wants to run for the other guy's seat, but that's if the other guy, you know, but right now, you know.
• 19:16
SPEAKER_00: But back to that, he's in law school.
• 19:19
SPEAKER_00: He's not necessarily if he loses his job, what Craig uh what what?
• 19:25
SPEAKER_00: Craig gets voted out the next round?
• 19:27
SPEAKER_00: You know that or he doesn't get he really has nothing to lose at this point, other than losing the girl.
• 19:33
SPEAKER_00: If he doesn't tell her.
• 19:35
SPEAKER_00: Or if he does tell her, but at least he has a chance.
• 19:38
SPEAKER_01: I know, it's just it's just like you know this person for a week and you're spilling your guts.
• 19:44
SPEAKER_01: I it's it just to me, it just felt like big giant red flags.
• 19:51
SPEAKER_01: Like I know you didn't want to lose her.
• 19:55
SPEAKER_01: And while on one hand I can appreciate the honesty, on the other hand, it's it's still very, very sensitive information that maybe just maybe you might have wanted to be a little bit more careful with.
• 20:14
  SPEAKER_01: But that's me.
• 20:14
SPEAKER_00: That's just I also think he has at this point of his friendship with Craig, he may not have been acting on it consciously, but he's he knows Craig has been manipulative their entire friendship.
• 20:31
SPEAKER_00: It's that I think this is his point where like, fuck this.
• 20:35
SPEAKER_00: This is the woman I want to be with.
• 20:36
SPEAKER_00: I'm tired of hiding the secret.
• 20:39
SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna lose this woman for Craig's secret.
• 20:43
SPEAKER_00: That might be his like and like he was pissed at Craig for setting this for manipulating the blind date.
• 20:51
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 20:52
  SPEAKER_00: So Alright, fine.
• 20:55
SPEAKER_00: You wanna hook us up?
• 20:56
SPEAKER_00: This is I'm not gonna lose her now.
• 21:01
SPEAKER_01: I I have some thoughts on that, but I'll I'll save them for a little later.
• 21:05
SPEAKER_01: But yeah, it just like I said, it it just felt like uh, like save it.
• 21:11
  SPEAKER_01: Don't don't don't play that card yet.
• 21:14
  SPEAKER_01: But okay.
• 21:15
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 21:16
SPEAKER_01: Aaron gets home, and it's like we see Pascal, this is the scene where we see her kind of nagging him about like, oh, and you're here and you're there, and but she's right.
• 21:28
SPEAKER_01: And we see this scene of like the typical nagging wife, like, oh, you don't spend enough time with me.
• 21:34
SPEAKER_01: But he's literally like, well, I just kind of got home from hanging out, hanging out with Jenna.
• 21:40
SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna hang out.
• 21:41
SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna go hang out.
• 21:43
SPEAKER_01: And it's like, and she's like, then I cooked and you didn't call, and it's like, yo, number one, home.
• 21:52
SPEAKER_01: You don't have to ask her for permission, and that's not what she's saying.
• 21:55
SPEAKER_01: But my God, let the bitch know.
• 21:57
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she cooked, she took the time to cook dinner.
• 22:00
SPEAKER_01: She's in the house, she's taking care of the children who are yours.
• 22:03
SPEAKER_01: And how and then how many not times this by two years?
• 22:08
  SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
• 22:10
SPEAKER_01: It it just common courtesy that you're not treating her as staff because that's that's what it begins to feel like.
• 22:23
SPEAKER_01: And then speaking Speaking from experience and this I I I did feel like I could relate to her because I do have a husband who works and then it's like he'll just decide to go out, and it's like I I'm not gonna tell you not to go out, but my god, could you let a bitch know?
• 22:49
SPEAKER_01: I mean, what are we doing here?
• 22:50
SPEAKER_01: Like we have we are married, we have children, we have a home.
• 22:55
SPEAKER_01: It's like common courtesy to let the other one know what we're doing.
• 23:01
SPEAKER_01: Not because we're gonna stop each other, but because we've made a commitment to the city.
• 23:05
SPEAKER_01: It's part of the communication.
• 23:08
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 23:08
SPEAKER_01: So yes, I was like, you know what, Pascal?
• 23:11
SPEAKER_01: I'm right there with you.
• 23:13
SPEAKER_01: I am and and yes, I still might think that you are up to shady shit, but in this moment right here, bitch, I got your back.
• 23:19
  SPEAKER_01: We're good.
• 23:21
  SPEAKER_01: Rant over.
• 23:22
SPEAKER_01: It's like he goes where he wants while she's at home with no call and raising their kids.
• 23:28
SPEAKER_01: After he leaves, he goes to play basketball with Peter, and it turns into like, oh, who's gonna know Carla better?
• 23:35
SPEAKER_01: So they're planning to do a Carla quiz.
• 23:38
  SPEAKER_00: Real mature.
• 23:39
  SPEAKER_01: Jenna, meanwhile, is what?
• 23:41
  SPEAKER_00: Real mature.
• 23:43
SPEAKER_01: Jenna is at a hotel with her married boyfriend, and he has a cell phone and it rings, and he's like, oh, this must be my boss because it's this guy and this client and blah, blah, blah.
• 23:52
  SPEAKER_01: I'm important.
• 23:53
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know, whatever.
• 23:55
  SPEAKER_01: But it's his wife.
• 23:56
SPEAKER_01: And he's like, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 23:57
SPEAKER_01: I'm just looking at some tiles with the contractor.
• 24:00
SPEAKER_01: If, ladies, if your man ever says, Oh, I'm just looking at tiles, he is not.
• 24:07
SPEAKER_00: Nobody wants to look at no man looks at tiles willingly.
• 24:10
  SPEAKER_00: I mean.
• 24:12
SPEAKER_01: At Craig's office, Congressman Clark comes and pays a visit.
• 24:17
SPEAKER_01: Basically, he's like, he calls Craig out on wanting to campaign for his congressional seat.
• 24:26
SPEAKER_01: And he threat he threatens Craig with the information now because he knows all about the car accident and he's like, well, it must have been you.
• 24:36
SPEAKER_01: You're the only one, blah, blah, blah.
• 24:40
SPEAKER_01: And my notes, it's like, one, slimy congressman trope achieved.
• 24:46
SPEAKER_01: Two, the man who has to make threats to keep his seat is a weak, insecure man.
• 24:52
  SPEAKER_01: You know what?
• 24:53
SPEAKER_01: If you knew you were doing right by your constituents and you were the best man for the job, maybe you wouldn't worry about the fight.
• 25:01
  SPEAKER_01: But you know what?
• 25:02
SPEAKER_01: When you when you have to pull all these fucking stunts and lie and cheat and whatever, your way into the seat.
• 25:09
SPEAKER_01: Well, maybe you didn't deserve it.
• 25:11
SPEAKER_01: And if only they could go 20, 30 years into the future, they would have seen that lesson play out in front of them.
• 25:21
SPEAKER_01: At the Carlaquiz, Aaron wins.
• 25:25
SPEAKER_01: He beats Peter with a score of nine out of ten to Peter's six out of ten.
• 25:31
SPEAKER_01: The episode bounced a lot, so that's why it's like, wait, what?
• 25:34
  SPEAKER_01: We're playing, we're playing TV tennis.
• 25:38
SPEAKER_01: Jenna is back at the hotel for their next quote date.
• 25:42
  SPEAKER_01: Rendezvous.
• 25:43
  SPEAKER_01: And he's, yeah, he's running late.
• 25:45
SPEAKER_01: She calls him and she's like leaving him a message or whatever, like, hey, blah, blah, blah, you're, you know, running late.
• 25:50
SPEAKER_01: And then we hear the key on the door, and the door is opening, but it's the wife.
• 25:55
  SPEAKER_01: And Jenna's like, I I'm sorry, I think you're in the wrong room.
• 25:58
SPEAKER_01: She's like, well, unless my husband is screwing someone else in another room, then no.
• 26:03
SPEAKER_00: And then that's the dumbest thing I ever heard because if it's the wrong room, how would the key fit?
• 26:08
SPEAKER_00: Like, you know what I mean?
• 26:09
  SPEAKER_00: Like, what?
• 26:10
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 26:11
  SPEAKER_00: But anyway.
• 26:13
SPEAKER_01: Okay, this scene for me was so weird because on one hand, because the lady was like, basically, he's my husband, he's not gonna leave, and you're not the first, and you won't be the last, and just tearing her down for what she represents.
• 26:33
SPEAKER_01: And it's like on one hand, I understand where the wife is coming from.
• 26:39
SPEAKER_01: Like, you've been married to the guy for seven years, you have a family, whatever.
• 26:44
SPEAKER_01: But on the other hand, it's like mama, you deserve better.
• 26:49
SPEAKER_01: And it's tough because maybe all she wants is the clout of being married to the guy.
• 26:54
SPEAKER_01: Maybe she just likes what he brings to the table in terms of status by being married to him.
• 27:02
SPEAKER_01: Maybe she's got a house, a car, the kids.
• 27:04
SPEAKER_00: Or maybe she just loves them.
• 27:06
  SPEAKER_01: But right.
• 27:08
SPEAKER_01: But it's hard because it's like you deserve better.
• 27:14
SPEAKER_01: You deserve better than than that guy who just doesn't care about your feelings.
• 27:22
SPEAKER_01: It's like her making a choice to keep her family together versus losing all self-respect.
• 27:31
SPEAKER_01: And sometimes you can't have both.
• 27:33
SPEAKER_00: But sometimes it takes more than a couple of times.
• 27:35
SPEAKER_00: Like it doesn't like yeah, maybe yes, you at the one time, like, okay, one and done.
• 27:40
SPEAKER_00: And for some women, it's just like, no, you know, you still try to hope for the best, whatever.
• 27:44
SPEAKER_00: What have you, right, wrong, or indifferent.
• 27:47
SPEAKER_00: Um, I get a woman knowingly having an affair with a married man.
• 27:53
  SPEAKER_00: That's a that's problematic.
• 27:56
SPEAKER_00: That being said, you married the man.
• 27:58
SPEAKER_00: The man made a commitment to you.
• 28:00
  SPEAKER_00: Your problems with him.
• 28:02
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 28:03
SPEAKER_00: Um, Jenna's response should when she said, you know, you won't be the you're not the first and you're not the last.
• 28:08
SPEAKER_00: I wonder if Jenna's response was would have been like, well, don't worry, I'm not here for a long time anyway.
• 28:14
SPEAKER_00: I just wonder what if that's how Jenna felt about being with married men, I think her response would have been along those lines to begin with.
• 28:25
SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's fine with me.
• 28:26
SPEAKER_00: I don't want to be here long.
• 28:28
  SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't plan on keeping him long anyway.
• 28:30
SPEAKER_00: You can have him back when I'm done.
• 28:31
SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
• 28:32
SPEAKER_00: If that's how she felt about being with married men, I think her response to that situation would have been along those lines.
• 28:40
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 28:40
SPEAKER_00: Especially since this is not her first married man.
• 28:44
SPEAKER_01: And and we do later on roundabout find out what happened with that guy.
• 28:50
SPEAKER_01: We move to back to Will, and it's like he's get he gets called to the principal's office, meaning Craig.
• 28:57
SPEAKER_01: Craig confronts him, and it's like, you know what?
• 29:02
  SPEAKER_01: Fuck you, Craig, okay?
• 29:04
  SPEAKER_01: Fuck you.
• 29:05
SPEAKER_01: Because you're constantly prospering off of Will's back.
• 29:10
  SPEAKER_01: Constantly.
• 29:12
SPEAKER_01: And this goes back to what you said about, you know what?
• 29:15
SPEAKER_01: Like, what does Will have to lose anymore?
• 29:18
SPEAKER_00: And then it's funny how this relationship Will has with Craig is a little bit hypo hip, I was a hippocratic.
• 29:30
  SPEAKER_00: Not that.
• 29:31
SPEAKER_00: A little hypocritical later on with a conversation with Catherine.
• 29:35
SPEAKER_00: And we'll get to that later.
• 29:37
SPEAKER_00: And I'll explain my thought.
• 29:39
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 29:39
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 29:40
SPEAKER_01: Craig is like, you better fix this, you better tell her that it wasn't true.
• 29:44
SPEAKER_01: Like just all of this shit.
• 29:45
SPEAKER_01: Because basically, by the fact that Will told her about that it was an accident and he was protecting someone hurts Craig's chances at running.
• 30:00
SPEAKER_01: And of course, Craig can't have that.
• 30:03
SPEAKER_01: Somebody else has to take the blame.
• 30:05
SPEAKER_01: Otherwise, you know, all is not right with the world.
• 30:08
SPEAKER_01: Carla ends up having a conversation with Aaron, and she's like, listen, you gotta chill.
• 30:14
SPEAKER_01: Because this competition that you have with Peter, it's it's not gonna end well.
• 30:20
SPEAKER_01: And you're my friend, I want to keep you in my life.
• 30:23
SPEAKER_01: And what do you think is gonna happen if I have to choose between my friend and my husband?
• 30:27
  SPEAKER_01: Now she's not wrong.
• 30:29
  SPEAKER_01: She's not wrong.
• 30:31
SPEAKER_01: Will and Catherine are supposed to go away for the weekend.
• 30:34
  SPEAKER_01: She had to lie.
• 30:36
SPEAKER_01: Basically, it was like, oh yeah, I'm gonna tell my dad I'm here, but I'm really here.
• 30:42
SPEAKER_01: And he ends up saying, No, you know what?
• 30:44
SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm not going because you broke my confidence.
• 30:48
SPEAKER_01: Like you went and you told your dad, and and she's like, Oh, but I only told him because I wanted him to understand.
• 30:53
  SPEAKER_01: And I get that.
• 30:54
  SPEAKER_01: I do get that.
• 30:57
SPEAKER_01: But at the same time, I get what he's feeling too, because he can't even be with her in public be because of the whole situation.
• 31:09
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 31:10
SPEAKER_01: At at some point he must have gone back to like clear out his shit from the office, and Sam confronts him on quitting, and they're talking about the fact that he's quitting and and like the whole thing with Catherine.
• 31:21
SPEAKER_01: And Sam gives this whole impassioned little monologue about lost love and blah, blah, blah.
• 31:26
SPEAKER_01: And it's like, all right, how fucking long are we gonna keep kicking at this dead horse?
• 31:35
SPEAKER_00: The horse is dead, buried, brought back.
• 31:39
SPEAKER_01: The blue has already worn off.
• 31:41
SPEAKER_00: He's not gonna leave the horse alone.
• 31:44
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 31:45
SPEAKER_01: It's just like, I know what it feels like.
• 31:47
  SPEAKER_01: Well, you know what?
• 31:48
  SPEAKER_01: That's your problem.
• 31:49
SPEAKER_01: And and you keep coming into Will's life and like dropping these little bombs.
• 31:56
  SPEAKER_01: Bombs, yeah.
• 32:00
SPEAKER_01: But it must have worked, and we'll talk about that later.
• 32:05
SPEAKER_01: Well, Carla and Peter having an engagement party.
• 32:08
SPEAKER_01: Is that what they were doing at the bar?
• 32:11
SPEAKER_01: Like, or was it just like a group gathering and then they were they just happened to be celebrating?
• 32:16
SPEAKER_01: I wasn't sure because I was like, okay, if they're party, where are any of their people?
• 32:21
  SPEAKER_01: I wasn't sure either.
• 32:23
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 32:24
SPEAKER_01: Jenna and Aaron have the little heart-to-heart.
• 32:28
  SPEAKER_01: Blah, blah, blah.
• 32:29
SPEAKER_01: You know, because basically they're saying, Oh, yeah, Carla told me it it takes work to make a relationship work.
• 32:34
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Carla told me the same thing.
• 32:36
  SPEAKER_01: And it does.
• 32:36
  SPEAKER_01: She's not wrong.
• 32:38
SPEAKER_01: Will doesn't go to the party.
• 32:41
SPEAKER_01: Instead, he goes to the congressman's house and he's like, I'm gonna, I'm not leaving here until I talk to your daughter.
• 32:47
SPEAKER_01: And she comes and he's like, hey, if you want to go away for the weekend, there's still a room available.
• 32:54
  SPEAKER_01: Let's do it.
• 32:55
SPEAKER_01: And the congressman is like, big man, and he's like, no.
• 33:00
  SPEAKER_01: But that don't matter.
• 33:03
SPEAKER_01: So she comes, she runs out and she's like, Don't look back, don't look back, just keep going.
• 33:08
SPEAKER_01: And the guy is just standing there at his door.
• 33:10
SPEAKER_01: Like, if he wanted to, he could have caught them, but whatever.
• 33:15
SPEAKER_01: That's pretty much where the episode ends in the 1995.
• 33:20
SPEAKER_00: Before we go to present-oh, before we go to present, back to the conversation with Will and Catherine the car, where he said, I don't want to go.
• 33:29
SPEAKER_00: And sh his response to her saying, I just want him to like you.
• 33:33
SPEAKER_00: You know, I do want my father, I want my father to like you.
• 33:35
SPEAKER_00: Who doesn't want their parents to like their boyfriend?
• 33:37
  SPEAKER_00: Right?
• 33:37
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 33:38
SPEAKER_00: And his response was something along the lines of, well, do you have to please everybody?
• 33:44
SPEAKER_00: Like, your life can't be pleasing him.
• 33:46
SPEAKER_00: And that's when I was like, but your whole life has been pleasing Craig.
• 33:50
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're right.
• 33:51
  SPEAKER_00: So like, exactly.
• 33:52
SPEAKER_00: So like that's when, like, you're a little hypocritical then, buddy.
• 33:55
SPEAKER_00: Like, you went to jail for this dude.
• 33:58
SPEAKER_00: So the fact that I could get like the the sense of betrayal, but at the same time, it like she had the really the best intentions.
• 34:10
SPEAKER_00: Like she just she wants the man that she loves, she wants her father to like him.
• 34:14
SPEAKER_00: And right now if he wasn't in politics, it'd probably be a lot easier.
• 34:19
SPEAKER_00: But she thought what she she did what she thought was, you know.
• 34:23
SPEAKER_00: But who was like, who really doesn't want their family to love their significant other?
• 34:28
SPEAKER_01: Well, and I guess that maybe that is another another thing that rubbed me the wrong way about him kind of spilling his guts is that yeah, he's totally into her, and I understand that he feels for her the way he feels, and but at the end of the date, you don't know this person.
• 34:49
SPEAKER_01: And he's like, I've never told another person what happened.
• 34:52
SPEAKER_01: But you don't know her.
• 34:55
SPEAKER_01: What if she is a plant?
• 34:56
SPEAKER_01: What if she just, you know, didn't accept the blind date so that you can use her?
• 35:01
SPEAKER_01: But what if and and I'm not saying that she did, but you just don't know.
• 35:06
SPEAKER_00: I thought that I thought that too.
• 35:08
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 35:09
SPEAKER_01: I I mean it crossed my mind, but you know, you just don't know.
• 35:12
SPEAKER_01: And so it's it's okay to hold on to sensitive information until you know you can trust someone with it.
• 35:20
SPEAKER_00: But once again, he still didn't have nothing, he didn't have much to lose at most a job, which you end up quitting anyway.
• 35:26
SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
• 35:27
  SPEAKER_01: That's true.
• 35:28
  SPEAKER_01: That is true.
• 35:29
SPEAKER_00: So, you know, present day.
• 35:32
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we get scenes of the ambulance, and then it's like, oh, it's so lucky that you just happen to be here.
• 35:38
SPEAKER_01: The detective is like, why were you here?
• 35:40
SPEAKER_01: Like, what yeah, he's like, Well, I didn't run you down if that's what you were thinking.
• 35:45
  SPEAKER_01: Well, yes.
• 35:45
  SPEAKER_03: Yes, it was.
• 35:47
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 35:48
SPEAKER_01: In the ambulance, he's kind of touch and go.
• 35:51
SPEAKER_01: He's still questioning him, but like, okay.
• 35:55
SPEAKER_01: He's like, Why are you still protecting Craig?
• 35:58
SPEAKER_01: They have to use the paddles on him.
• 36:03
SPEAKER_01: And at one point, it's like, even though the paddles they worked to revive him, they're not sure about internal bleeding.
• 36:11
SPEAKER_01: And they're like, Oh, you know, I saw the Medal of St.
• 36:14
  SPEAKER_01: Christopher, so he's Catholic.
• 36:16
SPEAKER_01: Maybe you should give him the last rites.
• 36:19
SPEAKER_01: And Will is offering him the last rites, and then at the very end, he wakes up in the hospital alive, and the detective wants to know, like, you know, again, what were you doing in the alley in the first place?
• 36:38
SPEAKER_01: He still thinks that Craig killed Sam and that Will is protecting him.
• 36:43
SPEAKER_01: And Will said, things don't always stay the same, and people and friendships change.
• 36:49
SPEAKER_01: And the detective says, not you guys.
• 36:52
SPEAKER_01: You're all in this together.
• 36:53
SPEAKER_01: And when one of you goes down, you're all gonna go down.
• 36:57
  SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I I think he's right.
• 37:00
SPEAKER_00: I think that he He is absolutely right.
• 37:03
SPEAKER_00: And this episode just made me really solidify that I think it's Henry.
• 37:10
  SPEAKER_01: I do, but I I I think that there's a little bit more for me.
• 37:14
SPEAKER_01: But Will puts the St.
• 37:16
SPEAKER_01: Christopher medallion on the table and he goes to a payphone.
• 37:19
SPEAKER_01: And we see him say, like, oh yeah, he was in surgery for three hours, was touch and go.
• 37:24
SPEAKER_01: And then we see Craig on the other end of that phone standing up, walking about.
• 37:30
SPEAKER_01: And he's like, Craig is like, don't worry, we'll get through this like we always do.
• 37:36
SPEAKER_01: And then you see the car with the busted windshield.
• 37:40
  SPEAKER_03: And the blood.
• 37:41
  SPEAKER_01: And the blood.
• 37:43
SPEAKER_01: And now, of course, too obvious.
• 37:47
  SPEAKER_01: It's so obvious, right?
• 37:48
SPEAKER_01: So it can't be a good idea.
• 37:49
SPEAKER_01: But then it's like, okay, well maybe is yes because it's so obvious.
• 37:54
SPEAKER_01: Maybe Sam hit a deer a week ago, you know.
• 37:56
SPEAKER_01: You know all those deer on Fifth Avenue?
• 37:58
SPEAKER_01: I mean Or do they live in Soho now?
• 38:03
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
• 38:04
  SPEAKER_01: But anyway.
• 38:05
SPEAKER_01: But like it could have been a fucking pigeon could have flown into the car.
• 38:09
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 38:10
  SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying.
• 38:11
SPEAKER_01: I just think that, like you said, it's so fucking obvious.
• 38:15
SPEAKER_01: Because they're like, oh, but Craig can't walk.
• 38:17
SPEAKER_01: And he's like, Craig doesn't drive, he can't walk.
• 38:21
SPEAKER_01: We know, the audience knows that Craig can walk, so naturally we assume he could drive.
• 38:28
SPEAKER_01: I just think that the car is too obvious for it to be that clean and simple.
• 38:35
  SPEAKER_02: Maybe the detective I don't like, I just don't know.
• 38:42
SPEAKER_01: Maybe maybe that car has been in the garage since Craig got into our imaginary accident that left Henry disfigured.
• 38:54
  SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
• 38:55
SPEAKER_01: I I mean I'm just saying, like, we we know the detective got hit by a car and we know that Craig has a busted car.
• 39:02
SPEAKER_01: Correlation, causation, all of that, we cannot necessarily connect the dots.
• 39:07
SPEAKER_00: Well, the blend was too fresh to be old.
• 39:09
SPEAKER_00: At this point, if it was an older That is true, it would the it wouldn't be as red.
• 39:14
SPEAKER_00: So I'm I'm pretty sure that I'm definitely positive, I'm sure that this car had to do with the accident.
• 39:21
SPEAKER_00: I'm also sure that Craig didn't do it.
• 39:25
SPEAKER_01: Well, and that's the other thing.
• 39:27
SPEAKER_01: Even if it didn't have something to do with the accident, we didn't see Craig driving the car, so we don't know how to do it.
• 39:33
SPEAKER_00: It could have been fucking Will.
• 39:35
  SPEAKER_00: It might have.
• 39:36
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I still think it could be Will, too.
• 39:38
SPEAKER_00: I mean, at this point, it could be, but it could have been Craig's driver.
• 39:41
SPEAKER_00: I mean, whoever, it could be, but I don't think it's Craig because uh it's just there in the face.
• 39:46
  SPEAKER_00: It's like, that doesn't make sense.
• 39:47
  SPEAKER_00: Too obvious.
• 39:50
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 39:51
SPEAKER_00: And I also to solidify my thoughts of Henry, and I'm pretty sure I might say this before, but I'm not sure, because I don't remember week from week.
• 39:59
SPEAKER_00: Jenna is so angry at Craig.
• 40:03
SPEAKER_00: I legit don't see her helping him for any reason unless it's Samantha's son.
• 40:11
SPEAKER_00: I can see her doing it for Samantha's son.
• 40:14
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 40:15
SPEAKER_01: Oh, and getting back to Jenna, uh-huh.
• 40:18
SPEAKER_01: Uh because I forgot, I forgot to write that part down.
• 40:21
SPEAKER_01: But after that whole incident where the wife shows up at the room, there's another encounter where she's with the city.
• 40:27
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, right, right, right.
• 40:28
SPEAKER_01: And she's like, You didn't even call, like your wife, he was like, Yeah, whatever, because I thought it was just make things worse.
• 40:36
SPEAKER_01: And she decides that, you know, this this whole thing is not working out.
• 40:41
SPEAKER_01: And he's like, Well, I can, you know, if if it's just because of her and you want to be together, I'll leave my wife.
• 40:47
SPEAKER_01: And she's like, Yeah, you say that now, but then because you only have me like twice a week, and then once you have me all of the days, you're not gonna want me.
• 40:56
SPEAKER_01: You're gonna miss her, and you know, you're gonna you're gonna end up going back.
• 41:01
SPEAKER_01: And he's like, you have no way of knowing that.
• 41:05
  SPEAKER_01: And she's like, Yes, I do.
• 41:06
SPEAKER_01: So obviously we know that she was so happy because she's like, Oh, he left his wife for me, and blah, blah, blah, because the last guy died.
• 41:15
SPEAKER_01: So we get the impression that that's what happened, that it didn't work out because he missed his wife, and that's the thing, right?
• 41:22
SPEAKER_01: Like, if you get into a relationship with a married person, man, woman, whatever, and you're starting to develop feelings for this person, it is not going to end well.
• 41:36
SPEAKER_01: They're not going to leave.
• 41:39
SPEAKER_01: Because here's the thing, right?
• 41:41
SPEAKER_01: At the end of the day, you are a plaything to them.
• 41:50
SPEAKER_01: They you use you to get away from the daily stress, and not necessarily their their wife or their spouse, but reality.
• 42:00
  SPEAKER_01: But reality, right?
• 42:02
SPEAKER_01: There's no financial demands, there's no baggage, there's no kids, there's no work.
• 42:09
  SPEAKER_01: You are vacation.
• 42:11
SPEAKER_00: And the more you change from vacation to real life, you don't need it.
• 42:17
SPEAKER_00: To residence, you're not needed anymore.
• 42:20
SPEAKER_01: No, and then and then that's when it's like, well, the relationship is not so wonderful because now you have the everyday stressors that you don't bring with you on vacation.
• 42:31
  SPEAKER_01: It doesn't, it just doesn't work.
• 42:35
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the grass is greener because you're not worried about paying the bills.
• 42:38
SPEAKER_01: You're not worried about who didn't wash the fucking dishes and who has to cook dinner tonight.
• 42:43
SPEAKER_01: Oh, the kids got a PTA meeting, the kids got a doctor's appointment.
• 42:47
SPEAKER_01: Who didn't scrub the fucking toilet or walk the dog?
• 42:50
  SPEAKER_01: None of that.
• 42:51
SPEAKER_01: None of that because you're on vacation.
• 42:54
  SPEAKER_01: Don't do it.
• 42:57
  SPEAKER_01: Don't do it.
• 42:58
  SPEAKER_01: The vacation doesn't last.
• 42:59
  SPEAKER_00: No.
• 43:00
SPEAKER_00: Because if it does, it wouldn't be a vacation.
• 43:02
SPEAKER_01: So yeah, so I think that she decides that she deser finally deserves better.
• 43:09
SPEAKER_02: And I I don't know, I guess we'll see in the next episode what her her her future path will be.
• 43:20
SPEAKER_01: I mean, as for this episode, I think that's it for me.
• 43:23
  SPEAKER_01: I didn't really have a lot.
• 43:26
SPEAKER_00: It I kind of like this the show because we're able to talk about it and it's not so not so much of a mind fuck.
• 43:36
SPEAKER_00: We can enjoy it without beating our heads against the wall.
• 43:41
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there was one scene when Carla was talking to Peter, and she's like, oh, like we're gonna be happy, and or maybe when she was talking to Aaron, but something to the effect of like we're gonna that her and Peter are gonna be married and they're gonna live happily ever after, and they have their whole lives ahead of them.
• 43:59
SPEAKER_00: I have a feeling that was um that just sealed the deal for Peter's death.
• 44:04
SPEAKER_00: I feel like he dies young.
• 44:06
SPEAKER_01: I feel like Yeah, and then I was like, right.
• 44:09
SPEAKER_01: And so in my head, I'm like, okay, if I didn't know that they were already married when he died because he said loving husband, I would have thought that right then he was gonna step off the curb and get hit by a big And I feel like the I feel like this is like the situation where he dies on the wedding day.
• 44:22
SPEAKER_00: Like I feel like they'd I feel like it's not gonna be a long marriage.
• 44:25
SPEAKER_00: Whatever happens is gonna happen early on.
• 44:29
  SPEAKER_00: I feel so bad.
• 44:30
  SPEAKER_00: Four minutes in.
• 44:31
  SPEAKER_00: Um I also don't think we're gonna- I also don't think we're gonna see it either.
• 44:36
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's a lot of do you want to take any like idea like thoughts on what do you think we'll actually get to see?
• 44:44
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
• 44:45
  SPEAKER_01: I have no idea.
• 44:47
SPEAKER_00: So I don't think we're gonna see the death of Peter.
• 44:50
SPEAKER_00: I don't think we're gonna find out who killed Samantha.
• 44:54
  SPEAKER_00: Nope.
• 44:55
  SPEAKER_00: I I don't think we're gonna find out how we became a priest.
• 44:59
  SPEAKER_00: I don't think we're gonna get any resolution.
• 45:01
  SPEAKER_00: I think we'll get more questions.
• 45:05
SPEAKER_01: I wonder if there is actually a way to reach out to the creators of the show.
• 45:12
SPEAKER_00: Wait, what was your plan?
• 45:13
SPEAKER_01: And just right, and just simply be like, could you just is there is there any way?
• 45:19
SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's been 20 fucking years since the show came out.
• 45:22
  SPEAKER_00: No one cares anymore.
• 45:22
  SPEAKER_00: So just tell us.
• 45:24
SPEAKER_01: So could you just tell us like what was the plan?
• 45:28
SPEAKER_01: Who did who did you, you know, who killed her or or how did she die?
• 45:34
SPEAKER_00: How far did you get in your plan?
• 45:35
SPEAKER_00: Just tell me how far from episode 13 did you get in your plan?
• 45:40
SPEAKER_01: I mean, right, because even if 13 episodes were recorded, forget the fact that nine were made.
• 45:45
SPEAKER_01: But even if you had you had 13 made.
• 45:49
SPEAKER_00: You might had plans from up to 20.
• 45:52
SPEAKER_00: Like let me know what your plans were.
• 45:54
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 45:54
SPEAKER_01: So I'm sure that you still had a few further episodes mapped out or or outlined at least so that we yeah.
• 46:06
SPEAKER_01: I I mean, I guess it can't hurt to try to find that information.
• 46:12
SPEAKER_00: So join us next week after we harass the studios.
• 46:18
SPEAKER_01: We'll have to start harassing them now.
• 46:20
SPEAKER_01: Maybe we'll get an answer.
• 46:23
  SPEAKER_01: I don't think I have anything else for 1995.
• 46:26
SPEAKER_01: Uh, except for okay, well, we only got three more episodes to go.
• 46:34
SPEAKER_01: And we don't know what the hell we're gonna find out or not find out.
• 46:38
SPEAKER_01: So talk about lost left us when unanswered questions.
• 46:40
SPEAKER_00: And I love the fact that our viewers are watching this for the first time with us.
• 46:44
  SPEAKER_00: Well, most likely.
• 46:46
  SPEAKER_00: That's exciting.
• 46:47
SPEAKER_00: Our listeners, not our viewers.
• 46:50
SPEAKER_01: I know what you meant.
