- JB: What's good everybody? I'd like to welcome everybody everybody back to another episode of Sports Talk with J B in the barbershop after hours. And today we got in the house we got Troy, Mr. Controversi. Troy: Yo yo. JB: We got a law in the house. Law: done. JB: We got old three five B bonds. Brandon: Yeah, I know what it is, man. Five four to the two one four. We still here, baby. Food. Law: You JB: Exactly. All right, fellas. So tonight we're gonna get into a little bit of Gail Benson. I know we're talking off camera about it. Gail Benson, how she's speaking out about the Saints, a little bit about what Jaden, I mean, Michael said about Daniels, what else we got? And a couple other things. We'll we'll get through when we get there. But first off, Mac Shaw, let's start with you, Troy. Do you think what Gail Bis Gail Benson said was pretty much the she met it or she just saying that for for the the the Louisiana Louisiana? Saints fan base. Troy: Man, she meant that. But the thing is, bruh, she gotta fire her GM. If she do that and get somebody else some fresh eyes in there, because Mickey been in that too long. So once they do that, I think they'll be alright. But Mickey Loom has gotta go. JB: Gotcha. What you got, B? Brandon: Same as George just said, you need fresh eyes in there making so dead set on how stuff used to be and going off that. And it's just, I mean, anybody can see that old line, terrible. When I was when I went to the game in Baltimore, I was like, well, this is the Ravens. I know we ain't, I didn't expect us to be able to run the ball, but I'm I'm there live looking at it. I'm like, damn, boy, the old line, they they can't do nothing in the trace. So that old line need be fixed. I ain't gonna mention the defense, but the old line, cause I see people online talking about some. Man, when Spencer Rattler was one and four, they they pushed Shook in. Maybe we need to put Rattler back in. I'm like, nah, that man still, in my opinion, he a better passer than Rattler. It's just that that old that old line just they just can't they they can't block for shit. And we can't if you can't run the ball, then shit. You the pass game ain't gonna develop if you can't even run the route. Like we getting what big shit at a minimum, what, like three, four yards, a rush? That's that's trash, man. That's trash. Troy: Yeah they they're running the they gotta figure out that running attack. JB: Right, like we yesterday in the plus they got a couple of big key pieces that's missing to help easy his load off. Like you see the running game, couple of receivers and the O line or whatever it is. What you got, Law? Law: Man, I kind of take her, those speeches like she gave yesterday, I kind of take it with a grain of salt, Because she been, she done had them, for the last three years, she been kind of coming in mid season or when they start losing and drop, you know, drop these things about the fans and how things have to get better and taking accountability. things don't really, things don't really change, you know, and I just, I don't know. I just, need to do some soul searches on a coaching level too, because you have to know your personnel, because those coaches not putting those guys in the best position to be successful. You have to help them out. Get out of that man coverage. We don't have man coverage personnel. You got to zone it up. And if they beat you, they beat you with zone, they beat you with zone, but we can't cover nobody man to man. And I can't understand why I steadily keep putting them dudes on the island. and expecting him to make plays. JB: Glad you said that for I was my my next question was who d I know she said she she she called her damn everybody, even the guy who got Dak who Dak got fired, he got even thrown in that. Who who y'all think get the most blame? Is it is it G is it Loomis? Is it Kellen or just the team of players? Who y'all get that most most of that that blame to? Law: I would go start with Kelly Moore. He just don't strike me as a motivator, man. Like he's soft spoken. I question if he hold the dudes accountable. does he got that dog in him to have them tough conversations when them guys not Troy: I'll then Law: playing well, bro? He just seemed timid. And that just Troy: Yeah. Law: reflects how they play because like when Sean was here, Sean was a... Sean was an asshole. He had a level of accountability that he would get in your shit. And I think these guys, I don't know if they even have the respect for their head coach. JB: I agree with what you got, Troy? Troy: Yeah, I think he saw. And then I don't think he's, you know what I'm saying, Brother? Fit to be a a head coach. No, not every head coach can be no, every offensive coordinator can be a head coach. I'm gonna say that. And I don't think he's like that. I think he's better as a a coordinator, but not as a head coach. And I think that's the problem. Is he calling his own plays? I I'm not sure. But if he Law: Yeah, he called the police. Brandon: Yeah, he called it he could definitely call them plays. Troy: Okay, but what what play is he calling? Because Law: He called the police. Right. Troy: Shhh, they ain't working. They not work. I need you to Brandon: That's what I was that's what I was gonna say next, sure. yeah. Law: Buh. Troy: man bring them Philly plays to to here. You know, maybe that'll work. JB: Is that Troy: But then you need to go find your a a a real dog as a running back too. You know, Law: No, no. Troy: I even though I like AK, I like Kamara, but you know, he ain't been right though, what the last two years with the injuries. So you gotta figure JB: I look. Troy: that part out too. You gotta go get a real dog, but then you go get TN. Man, he too light in ass to be running in them in the trenches. Law: don't know. Troy: So you gotta go find your real good running back. JB: Gabby. Law: Yeah. Cool. Brandon: Saint shit, I agree with Troy and Law. Same thing. But that that that when you watch the Saints and you see that play calling, you you get a you get in the feeling of, okay, I see what you're trying to do, but that offensive line sucks. Like it it is to to where you can't even run to try to get a little pressure off of Shuck to go, okay, well I got a little time back there. Like, man, you if you want you count one Mississippi, two Mississippi, somebody on his ass, like he and then Like even the Minnesota game, I'm like is I'm like, damn, like is he really like purposely overthrowing the receivers? Or is it just like he just trying to hurry up and get that thing out of there before he gets to him? But it's like it that O line and the play call and this the main things that need to be f fixed offens offensively. You know, that's not even mentioning the the defensive side of the ball. We need to be corrected over them. JB: Right. Yeah, I agree 'cause I I Law: Yeah. JB: I never see yeah, that that's that's true. I never seen Keller Moore and I'm not saying that every every coach every coach got their own style. Not an in face player like that, but I never see him show no kind of emotion. As I think about it. Law: None. JB: He just be over there. Brandon: Be straight set straight stale face. JB: That's all you do. The whole time. Nothing else. So yeah, man. Law: Yup. Yo. Man, I hate his press conferences, bro. It's like, bro, like talking to, like watching paint dry, bro. Troy: Well it ain't a good thing there. Law: it's bad. I can only JB: That Law: imagine what them locker room speeches be like, bruh. Them dudes be like, man, come on, finish up, bruh. Troy: He he Brandon: what player do y'all think is the voice of the team like that's holding them down against because I really I don't I mean shit, I'd be a fool to say it looked like Chase Young holding the defense down, but who holding the overall team down? Like who is that who is that voice for the team? Like we don't even know who that voice is. JB: So B I know you wasn't much sure. we talked yesterday about Bashuk. You think going off what you've been seeing so far, you still think he's the future of the Saintscom as a quarterback? Brandon: Yeah, I mean he he a good passer. You know, he gon he gonna stay there, he gon his progression. You know, if he got a takeoff, he gonna take off. But I mean, from what I've seen, he, you know, he missing, you know, we missing what? Our rookie, Jordan Tyson. So you add him with Olave, Vele, Noah Fant, and my boy Joan Butterfinger Johns Johnson when he not dropping the ball. I mean, he He got some weapons to throw through. It's just that their old line. Can y'all do y'all job and and hold up that pressure that's coming towards y'all? Cause I mean, he sh I mean, he ain't really playing bad. It's just, you know, it's he dealing with what's in front of him. He's like, okay, do I got enough time to sit and wait and go one, two, three? Or do I'm just gonna go and hike and going, shit, to get me one, two, and then just chump, just chump you. JB: he's a quarterback, man. I'm not and again, I know he was four or three games straight, whatever it is, but but I see a lot of growth in the dude, man. I I was I was a fan of Law: Yeah. JB: him since last year. I I think he was the I know me and Charlie we went we talked about this before. well he was like the number one rookie quarterback that finished the season off I think the last five or four games. so I I was a fan from him since then. I just wanna see he did this season. Brandon: And and a lot of the games ain't really been on him. Like that Detroit game, like me personally, that that what was it, that two-point play that we lost the game with, I JB: Yeah. Brandon: I'm not throwing that pass to no rookie in that situation. I I'm I'm not doing it. rather throw it to the to a tight end. But yeah, there's just some of that stuff to go, you know, go back to Kellen Moore, you know, play calling, but ain't no way I'm putting a rookie in that situation to go ahead, hey, game win, I'm about to I'm about to hit you and yeah, it's just yeah, play call. Law: And then JB: Yeah. Law: that's his first down. Like you said, it's predictable. He running on first and second down. The dude is in third and long all the time, with no line. Make it easier for him. Get them screen passes. Try to get them five and outs, them seven yard slants to make it easier on third down so he can be able to convert. And try something different, man. Come out flinging the ball. You just... The first quarter, I don't know what his first 15 plays be, but they start so slow, there's no sense of urgency. And I would, to be honest with you, the hardest running guy right now is Kendrick Miller, but he got a fumbling problem. So the more you give him, the more he's susceptible to put it on the ground. So you can't give him too much. And that's unfortunate because he's such a tough runner, bro. Like he can average five to seven a clip if he can get the fumbling problem down. I think he better than E.G.N. I mean, E.G.N. that should change his name. But you can't trust him because the more, the more, the more, the more touches he get, the more successful of him farming in the ball. JB: So what y'all think we're playing the Giants this week, what y'all think we need to do against the Giants to to to get that win? Brandon: When she went. Law: You JB: No matter how you get it, no. Just get it. Brandon: Yeah, I know, yeah, yeah. They you know Jameis tendencies. Jamie g J Jame is gonna get happy. You know, he may go on the streak and then he gon he gon, you know, he won for testing the field and he may bo it look open and then get a pick. They run game, like you said, Scatterboo, he one of them hard runners. So you gonna have to, you know, you gonna have to be up you're gonna have to be up on him. They defense, I mean, I mean what's the little rookie they got? I mean, he he balled up, but I mean they played against Washington, But I mean yeah, I mean this y we you won't know until we see Law: Yeah. Troy: I'm going with James, man. I'm going with James, me. Law: You know, know, you got, you know, know, you know, know, you one. He might give you two. But when he give it to you, you got to go and get seven. That's the Troy: Really? Law: way you kind of keep them in check because they're going to fight. They're a young team. They got a decent defense, but you see how you have to stay aggressive. Washington got aggressive and look what they, they stopped coming at him. I don't understand If I'm calling the defense, I'm gonna blitz you every play. James Winston, I'm gonna blitz James every play until I get tired, until he start making plays. I'm rotating people in and out. I'm sending. Troy: Not every place. Brandon: Mm. Law: he is going, that pressure, he can't take that pressure. He get happy and he start singing ghosts and he gonna give it, he gonna give it up. Troy: Amen. Amen. My boy see he get E E and Ws, bruh. So I'll Brandon: Mm-hmm. Troy: see. JB: I'm not gonna even lie. I I hope they don't win 'cause if we're gonna catch hell Tuesday if they win. I can see Troy going in. I can see it. Law: But I think this is a good right game for him. I think they beat him by. Troy: I'll go buy me a giant's I'll go buy me a giant's head, just just cause. Law: I think they beat him by two touchdowns. I think the Saints went by two touchdowns. JB: I think all is agreed on him having two fifty on on over. What you got, B? How many y'all you think he gonna have? Two fifty or more. Yeah. Brandon: Jane? Jane? JB: Yeah. Over or under two fifty. Brandon: He got shit, what Malik Neighbors had damn near a a dollar something by himself and the rest of them. he he I I'm gonna say he gonna get over two fifty cause he one thing about Jameis, he ain't gonna shy away. He gonna throw the rock. So yeah, he he he gonna get more than two fifty. Now how many intercepts? I don't know, but he gonna he gonna have at least two fifty because he gon' like I say he he gonna pass. JB: We all got him going over two fifty. All right, let's let's transition over to Michael Fox. Michael said he believed that Jay and Daniels just got the kid got the head coach Dan Quinn fired. I don't know if y'all saw that comment that he made. What y'all think? was was it that play that Jamison I mean not Jameis, that that Dale D Daniel had a brain fart, as we I said yesterday, caused him this maybe get fired sooner or sooner than later? Brandon: That's on the that's on a lot of people. One, the quarterbacks, because you supposed to be looking at the clock knowing what's going on too. Two, I don't know where your office of coordinator, but it seemed like a lot of them be upstairs in the booth. So how the hell you up there and you not telling him, hey Daniel, you need to hurry up, get to the line and spike it. And then three, and then three, Troy: That's what I say yesterday. Brandon: the head, and then three, we see it on we see it on TV every Sunday, the head coach running with the tablet. Hey, get get trying to get the team to get the so Fall on Daniels, cause you supposed to be aware of what the hell going on on the field. So it yeah, I think if you're gonna blame one, Jaden, you're supposed to be aware at all times. Two, offensive coordinator, especially if you upstairs in the booth and then Three, head coach, cause we see every head coach running down the field trying to, you know, get the ref, hey, you know, time out or do whatever. They ain't have a timeout, but at least, you know, hey, give giving them that we know what this means. Hey, hurry up. Like, mm-hmm, hurry up. We ain't got time to play with. JB: Yeah, I I said yesterday I Icause watching all the interviews and everything from the offensive lineman saying everybody knew what's going on to the head coach taking the blame for something that Jaden should have known. Again, there's always the quarterback. They get the glory when they win and they get the kind of bad Troy: Yeah, definitely. JB: ball when they lose. So I ble I blame that on him. Troy: But but my thing is do y'all really do think Dan Quinn is that a a real good coach like that? Brandon: Mm-hmm. JB: I can't Law: He had a little success when he was the DC in Seattle, which they got his name and then he had a couple good years at the DC in Dallas. But as a head coach, I think I don't give him, you know, he shouldn't be a head coach Brandon: Yeah, yeah. Law: right now is what I'm saying. Brandon: Yeah. JB: Yeah he Troy: But what but my thing is why why they be wanna do all these defensive coordinators, hey coaches. Like sometimes like you can't you can't transition well. We saw Law: Yeah. Troy: that with what the Saints coach name was. Penboy. Yeah, JB: Dallin. Law: Dennis Allen. Troy: we saw that with him. Like he ain't no real good coach. Law: He was a damn good DC, but he's not a head coach. You're right. Troy: Yeah, he's not a head coach at all 'cause when he w when he was his previous job he he he sucked. You know what I'm saying? But then you gonna give him the Saints job. Like that was like that was like the worst decision ever. And then the offensive coordinator who who had just been collecting a check under Sean Payton, like come on, why you you gave him that job and man, he he was the worst. Law: Yeah. Brandon: Don't e don't even talk about that. That that that's what the Saints really messed up at. Granted he wasn't gonna leave, but they should have threw some money at Joe Brady to get him to come back to to be Law: Kelleher Moore, I mean, Dan Quinn, I think, you know, he's not a good, he's not a good head coach. You're to communicate that, you know, during that time. Look, this is what we got. Even though he's not on the offensive, Mike, he's still responsible for making sure, you know, everybody needs to be where they need to be. I honestly believe Jay and Daniel thought he had a timeout. His posture, the way, the time he stayed on the ground, I mean, he's like, okay, we're gonna get this last second. I think Jaden thought he had a timeout. Troy: My whole thing is like I said yesterday, it's no way impossible 'cause what you get from the time the ball is after the ball is snap once the the down until what five seconds before you know I'm saying the thing go off, they should have been telling you in in your head, in your in your ear, listen, this is what's gotta happen. Come on, I need to know who was that person in his ear saying You need to you know I'm saying what's what's gotta happen the next play. But that was terrible. JB: Right. I agree. All right, let's translate that's translation to NCAA. What was the biggest upset of the week? We had a couple of g big upsets this week, starting off with LSU versus Kentucky versus L S U, Oklahoma Oklahoma and Texas and UCLA and Oregon. For me, I think the the L S U one 'cause Kentucky wasn't even rate rank, right? Troy: Yeah, none of boys is right. Brandon: Number fifty, number fifteen, JB: And what else is Troy: And what the LS LSU what like twenty two? Law: Dropped all the way to 22, bruh. Brandon: On the way out. On the way out. JB: Right. That's why that's true. 'Cause Law: Dropped all the way to 22. JB: LSU is supposed to be in the best team in college. Well, you know, like I say on paper, that's all in the season in the season. Troy: about to tell you but I ain't see that though I ain't see that with especially with the quarterback play you know especially with the quarterback play you you don't I can't you can't trust LSU with that and then you always want to bring these white boys in there they be terrible listen listen Law: You Troy: some listen joe Joe was the best we ever Joe and what's the other one name can't think of his name we had a few But we ain't you Law: Mm-hmm. Troy: know, it's always the brothers be the ones who really do it, but LSU man eat. And then they don't have no running game. But they got all these Law: Yeah, and that's crazy. Troy: running backs, they got all these running backs, but y'all ain't really using them. But that's because the quarterback wanna run the ball. Law: Yep. Johnny followed me on Instagram. I've been on Sam Levitt since the Clemson game. I've been telling people, this dude, since the start of camp, everybody was, I'm like, when I found out that Kiffin was, Lane was trying to get him, I'm like, dude, this is the guy you hooking your Troy: Yeah. Law: fish pole to? Like this. Troy: They got somebody else though, right? They don't want they don't want him to play. Law: Yeah, the freshman, the Bradshaw freshman they got. I would Troy: Yeah. Yeah, I want him to play. Law: put him in, Sam Levin, can't read the defense. He won read and go, bro. And if that's Troy: Yeah. Law: not that. And also, I think LSU was the upset of the weekend because you couldn't afford to lose to Kentucky. Because the NCAA has made it clear. We're not letting eight out of the 12 beef out of the SEC. So what they doing, they doing little things to show you that they gonna shake it up and not have, y'all not gonna dominate the playoff. Because Troy: Right. Law: if you look at that play that they let go into the end zone, that dude progress or stop. The other referee come, he not, The guy that the other referee on the the on the opposite side He had a better view of it But the other guys could call the touchdown to overrule him because the other guy had him stop He turned he was turning sideways So he's not even moving forward no more But they let him push him into the end zone and gave it to and gave it gave him the touchdown And Lane got to go for it on fourth and one in that position But I don't you just got to live or die with that decision. You cannot punt the ball and expect You got to go in and win the game. You get that first down the game over with. So I think Lane should have went for it on that Brandon: Okay, there's something more. Law: fourth and one. JB: So what's your bro you say on who the upset was? You said LSU two? Troy: I I I believe LSU and Texas. Brandon: There we go. Troy: Listen, who you know, 'cause Texas number one. You ain't think they was gonna lose to Oklahoma. JB: I always thought they was overrated, me personally. Troy: yeah, I I think so too. I think so Brandon: Mm-hmm. Troy: too. Yeah, 'cause they be the only reason why they was one is because they beat Ohio You know what JB: Yeah. Troy: I'm saying? In the beginning. So that's the Brandon: Yeah, okay. Troy: only reason why, man. Law: Cause also too, think Sarkeesian is kind of setting, I like Arch. I think Arch got a lot of measurables that not a lot of quarterbacks have. Like if you look at that first touchdown he threw in the Oklahoma game, bruh, I can't find you two quarterbacks, three quarterbacks in college football that can make that throw. Like the dude is very athletic, he has a nice arm, but I think Sarke set him up to Brandon: Right. Law: fail because he doesn't establish the run. So Arch is always hunting the big play. He always hunting the big play, which he holds the ball and then he'll turn the ball over a bad interception. But Sarkeesian don't make it easier for him. When you got a defense like that, you make it easier for your quarterback. You limit the turnovers. Nobody gonna Troy: Right. Law: beat you. JB: You think you think if his last name was a man, he has he'd be getting as much attention? Troy: No. Law: No, I don't think so. I don't think so. Like I said, I like a lot of his measurables, like his own, but I don't think he'll be at Texas. JB: Got on a V. Law: brother. Brandon: Shit, yeah, I already said it. LSU, biggest upset. I mean, you got Dylan Dylan I mean Rayola, which I didn't think he was a good quarterback at Nebraska. So I mean you got a backup going against UCLA. I mean that that could have happened. Texas Law: So. Brandon: OU, I mean Arch basically gave that game away with the pick six intercept and then the intercept in the fourth quarter and let them boys come all the way back. But L S U losing to Kentucky. Law: Yeah, that one. Brandon: Yeah, that that's that's unacceptable. So now LSU got two L's in the SEC, Ole Miss and Kentucky. LSU can afford when they can't afford basically LSU needs to win out because we seen last year you can be whatever and two out the SEC and you can get, you know, Law: in the play. Brandon: you can get in the playoffs. Probably at this rate, shoot, probably you can get to the SEC championship because everybody else besides Georgia got. one L on them already. So you can be whatever in two and still get to SEC championship and possibly the players. But LSU can't lose no more. You still got Texas, Miss Texas, Mississippi State, Florida, Bama, Mississippi State and Texas. So yeah, LSU got a to it to at least sniff. The playoffs, they got to win up. And it's even it's even worse for Texas because Texas got it even worse. Because Texas got to see LSU. They got a hard matchup coming up this week. They got to play Florida. After Florida, they got to play Ole Miss. Then they still gotta play Mississippi State, LSU, and Texas AM. So they got a hard way out too. Like I said, that SEC is gonna be. Two losses can get you into the SEC Championship and the playoffs, but if you get more than two losses, you might be, you might be cooked. Law: Yeah, one more loss is done. I think if they lose three, they would have to reel off, maybe beat Texas and Alabama to probably get back in the top 25 if they lose a big wins. Brandon: It's gonna have to be a lot of it's gonna have to be a lot of a lot of tiebreakers. Yeah, big wins, but if everybody else ends up in two, then they're gonna have to pull a book of, okay, well, you beat them, but they beat them. Like them tiebreakers gonna probably come into effect if everybody running around with two L's, like, okay, who was your two L's too? Who was your two L's too? And what was the margin of victory between this and this and this? So them tiebreakers will come down to it if everybody end up, if full teams, whatever in two, then yeah, them tiebreakers gonna, they gonna hurt some people. JB: Right. So before we hop into the NBA B. I didn't get your opinion on what happened with the Cowboys. we should be able to hear clear nobody sc screaming at this. So what's your thoughts on what happened on I'll take that personal. what you think what what went wrong with the Cowboys and what what didn't go right? Brandon: FAFO They they fucked around and they found out they probably like man this old backup dude ain't about to do us like that. Shit, young boy said, Hold on, man, I got something for y'all. JB: Yesterday. Brandon: Yeah, they just I just I I guess shit. Underestimating. They just, you know, they're like, man, dude a backup. He ain't he ain't baking. Then he shoot he was taking off, doing what he had to do, making he wasn't making crazy plays. He was doing doing just enough to a let's Just keep it going. So yeah, they they definitely shocked and gave a wake up call. That's show you right there. Hey, don't just 'cause they're backup quarterback, don't don't underestimate 'cause you underestimate They'll be like, Okay, I've I've been waiting on y'all to do this. Now I'm about to show out on ya. JB: I was saying they they made him comfortable. They didn't make him uncomfortable, especially being a rookie. That dude was was was pretty much I know he did his speed and everything. Brandon: Mm. Like La Like what like what Law said you should have did with Jamie. They should have been blitzed you a rookie? I mean I w he never wait is he a rookie? No, he's not a rookie. Law: Yeah, he's on draft at Rooker. Yeah, he was at Troy: Yeah, he'll rook it. Brandon: Okay, Law: Rooker. Brandon: well yeah, yeah yeah. Well, I'm about to bliss the hell out you. I'm about to make you uncover hey, linebackers. I don't even care. Just go look. Full force go ahead and get her. Troy: I just got one question for you, Brandon. How what made you be a cowboy fan? JB: Now you're not a cowboy fan. Brandon: Who says who? JB: Be from New Orleans, man. Troy: I I thought he was a Cowboys fan. alright, I'll just make it sure. Alright, alright. Alright. Alright, alright, alright, I was just about to see. I'm about to see. JB: no, that's Brandon: Nigga, what? What? hold on, hold on, hold on. We born and raised around here, baby. East side east side. my no, baby. East East JB: You didn't see the shirt? You didn't see the shirt I put on him? road game? He know me, but it says road game. Brandon: East Side. no. no. I'm disrespectful. Troy: okay, I'm just making sure. Brandon: I I'm disrespect I'm disrespecting Chora said. no baby eat East Side Gareth East Troy: my bad, bruh. Brandon: East Side Garetti Park, Osborne Elementary, Fantasy Williams Middle School, McDonough 35. Don't do that, baby. No, don't do me that, Chor. Law: Hehehehehe Troy: Yeah my alright, bruh. Alright, my my my my my apologies, bruh. I thought she was like smooth, bruh. You thought she was a Cowboys fan, bruh. Alright, alright. Brandon: na nah no sir. JB: I think we take it easy. Let's one of them want to pop in and and and jump on it. But so far, yeah, we we have a get through the show. okay, man. I I want to get your opinion on that one. But that's what we said yesterday, man. That they made that quarterback look so damn comfortable. And one more thing. Let's go back the week before. separate Brandon: CD. JB: catches, C D When when would you have doubled him and and what catch what number catch? Brandon: Wait that what game that was? That was who they play before that? That was Houston. Troy: Houston, Houston. Yeah. JB: That'll be true then. Brandon: And that's crazy because Houston got a good defense. So if that means if Stingley couldn't hold him, it was assumed what Stingley be all over the place. But if Stingley was on him, man, that that that safety that he should have told that safety, hey man. See, D he he cooked me a little bit. I need you to I need you to come down and be there if he get a step on me. But yeah, I mean after the boy had 17 catches. JB: you think Stanley should he Stanley should have took that took that like, hey, I got you one on one. I'm I got you the rest of the game. You got seventeen catches. Let me see what like it should actually at number eight or ten. He should have been like, man, me get away from pick pickings and y'all let me go tell you what lambs is lamb on fire. Troy: My whole thing Law: In the. Troy: is with that, I just felt like Stingler should have been on him from the beginning 'cause that sh that's the number one. So why why if you the best, man, you the best, you I'm a travel with you. I guess these young boys ain't trying to travel. Law: No, Stingley ain't He ain't traveling. Brandon: Nah, he said when he whenever he sees C D getting that getting that slot, he'd be like, Okay, I ain't worried about that slot. I that's what I got my my nickel for. I'm going, Law: Yeah, he ain't traveling. Brandon: I'm going I'm going on them ends. Yeah, he playing on them ends. Troy: But that's how they lost. But that's how that's how Houston lost. Man, down at the that last touchdown, the number five was playing in in the end zone and and then he was playing outside where he just let Lamb go right in the end zone, right inside, did a post in and caught the touchdown. Like, come on, bruh. It's no way. Law: Yeah. Yeah. JB: Yeah, I agree with you. Law: Yeah. JB: A hundred percent. So let's let's go on to this NBA right fast. I don't have too much on NBA, but I wanna yeah, I don't know if y'all saw that Ben Simmons is coming back to the I think he signed with the Sacramento Kings. Y'all feel like Troy: First. Brandon: Mm-hmm. JB: I know he's been out the game I think what a year and a half or two years. Y'all think. Y'all think he Brandon: About two about two about two years, I think. Troy: Truth. Truth. JB: can still bring that you know he was a a defensive player once. And I don't know if he also he'd been looking like he's more comfortable shooting a shot as always practice. Yeah, I feel like he can because Sacramento wasn't that bad last year. Then he can help him out, bring him to, I ain't saying a championship, but somewhere, you know, make a good little run with him. Troy: Help him out doing work. What if he get that brain fought again and be like, I I just can't shoot Law: you Troy: again? So then what's what's gonna happen? What if something happened where he'd be like, I just can't do it? Like, come on, bruh. Man, just take your JB: No why I see that Law: Yeah. Troy: money and stay home. JB: It's his contract year coming up. He's still you don't know what he did with his money, but his contract should be coming up soon 'cause I think I forgot how many years he Troy: He got he got more. JB: That's why he's trying to ball out this year. Troy: I wouldn't get that boy n a book of fool stamps, man. Brandon: Hmm. Law: Hahaha! JB: Think I think he's gonna I think he's gonna help that backcourt out, man, especially defense wise and he's always a good passer. Brandon: So who who is the back? Who is the backcourt? Law: a cup and, living. Brandon: 'Cause they ain't got and I did exactly meet I'm about to say I they don't got they don't got the more the Rosen no the Rosen no more. Law: No, the Rosa went to, the Rosa went to, can't remember. JB: did he s did he he was still a free agent? Law: No, he signed with a team. Wait, Troy: Wasn't it like Miami? Law: No, it went Miami. Troy: Well. JB: I was Giannis at Miami. Troy: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. JB: Look it up. Law: He, he Denver, he won't return him to Denver. No, I'm sorry. He signed Troy: Yeah, what does it mean? Law: with Denver. The Kings bought him out and he signed with Denver. Yeah. JB: So another question I got on we can talk so B what you think about LeBron going to Philly. I know these guys don't wanna hear about LeBron, but I have to bring this up. Law: I've been waiting for you to bring this up. JB: What you think? it gonna take Philly a a minute to get that chemistry, or you think it's gonna be one and done like Law said in the playoffs? Or championship? Pretty much a championship of bus. That's the question. I mean that shouldn't even be the question. Brandon: I mean I ain't really a Braun fan, but I mean it's one, I mean, Embiid is gonna be the reason why if that team go for it, we know he he bound to miss a good 30, 40, 30, I do like 30 games a season. It depends on when that 30 hit. Bron though, I mean it it depends. I mean, you're gonna have what him, Vijay Edgecomb. I mean not Edgecomb, I'm sorry, him. Jalen Brown. What's JB: X Brandon: the boy? Yeah, Ma yeah. Ma Maxie running Maxie running the point. Edge Cone gonna probably come off the bench. And then I mean They probably make it to Maybe. Maybe the Semis or the Eastern conference finals. Maybe, but I mean I don't trust Paul Troy: Okay. Brandon: I don't trust Paul George with the Clippers for some reason. I just don't trust I just don't trust Paul George with the Clippers being in that situation. The Knicks, I mean they still the big they still the big dogs. The East, I mean I JB: we're both. Yeah. Brandon: the the East, I mean, Law: Yeah, he got turned into a boss. Brandon: yeah, Boston, yeah, Paul George. The East, I mean, I don't see Miami I I gotta see it to believe it with all with all Miami. Miami just got a bunch of pieces. They seem like they just grabbing people just to put together just to see if it's gonna work in Miami. who else out the east? Shit, really that's that's it, really? Yeah, I mean that that's JB: So I can Cleveland or Brandon: really it. I go yeah, yeah, Law: the Brandon: Cleveland, but I don't think I don't think they brought Harton back. But I mean even without James Harden, they still got they they whole core is still there. Detroit. Yeah, Detroit. JB: Can't sleep on them. Brandon: I think Detroit picked Troy: Yeah, Brandon: up they picked up somebody, I don't know if it was a guard or a small four. They picked up somebody that's gonna that'll help them out in the long in the long run. But yeah, I mean by say Philly, they got they got some teams in the east that can if they match up with the right person first round, they can you know get them out of there and probably six or seven. But it like I say Embiid is gonna be the focal point. If he can stay healthy, cool, but we all know Embiid is like Anthony Davis, he's gonna be missing. I say at the at a low point about thirty games and we don't know how that thirty gonna be. Is it gonna be six here, six here? yeah. Troy: He's gonna be in street clothes, huh? Brandon: Yeah, yeah. JB: Brian already said he not playing Law: Yeah, he's straight, definitely straight forward. JB: Brian already said he's not playing back to back. I'm glad you got that out V so go ahead and get your PowerPoint ready. I guess so much go go. Troy: Hey, hey, hold up. What about what about that that JJ Ruddy comment about about Brian? He showed me shit. Brandon: Browning. I mean, that was I mean I mean JB: He stayed good in practice though. Brandon: Hey, I Troy: Man come on man. We talk about practice. We talk about practice. Brandon: he came out too yeah. Hey man, he should. Law: Yeah. JB: The clip. Brandon: Bronny still supposed to be at USC or shit. He's still supposed to be with that developmental team because he ain't he ain't NBA ready. He ain't NBA ready. Law: No, but he's not, man. I have this argument with my little brother who will get on the phone. He think I'm the biggest LeBron hater, but man, I just be speaking facts, man. I'm like, he was talking about this Philly situation. I'm like, LeBron, think about it. LeBron has not had meaningful playoffs since the bubble. Like this whole championship of Bust. That expectation hasn't come to fruition. So now we draw this free agency out. Like this was his first free agency hitting the market, waiting to let teams know where he's going to be, which I thought that was like, I'm like, come on, just pick a team and let's roll. You dragging it out, you want to be the last to sign. And I don't think that he's going to be able to hold on, play enough games to be able to take them to the championship, man. I don't see them. I don't see them in the Eastern Conference Finals. I honestly believe I'm not giving them a play-in. I think that they make the top six, but I don't, first round, that's what I'm thinking. I'm not putting my stock into him and B has never been healthy. So I'm not expecting him to be healthy. He's never done that in his career. LeBron not playing back to backs. The biggest thing is going to be how Nick Nurse kind of like how he mows the teams with the rotation. Because they don't even have, the bench is not good. The second unit is not good. It's just gonna be Lakers 2.0. When Luke and LeBron came off the court, everything went to shit. And right now, they so top heavy that when those guys get off the floor, what are you gonna get? You taking a ball out of Maxie's hand? LeBron probably going to be the primary ball handler when they enter together. Maxey has never played off the ball. Maxey has always been able to create his own shot. So how do he? Go ahead. Troy: you know that's the thing wait go but my thing is that's the thing with every every team that LeBron goes on everybody have to change the way that they play because of him you know and that's and Law: Yeah. Troy: that's gonna be the problem because you know Jalen Brown is a dominant ball handler you know I'm saying dominant person with the ball that that's not gonna happen maxie as well so how that's gonna how that's gonna go with with LeBron. That's why I don't think, you know what I'm saying, it might not work. And then at the end of Law: Yep. Troy: the game, at the end of the game, who's gonna take it? Who you Law: Yeah. Troy: feel like is gonna be that dominant person be like, nah, I I got it. Cause you know LeBron gonna might LeBron might go on it. But you know Brandon: Shouldn't be should shouldn't be LeBron. I rather it JB: You want me to Brandon: it depends on who on the floor. My one and Law: Bye. Brandon: two op my one and two options. Hey, Maxie or Jalen Law: And people... Brandon: Brown. Maxie or Jalen Brown, I trust y'all two the most to take that shot. LeBron, you better kick you better either you draw a foul or kick it out. Don't don't take that shot. Law: And bro, everybody expecting guys to kind of kiss the ring when LeBron come and be like, I'm a shoot lesser. Man, man, them dudes, I'll be like, bro, them dudes is giving out four and $500 million contracts in the NBA. So ain't nobody gonna be like, I'm a drop my average and drop the things that's gonna get me to these max contracts. Ain't nobody trying Troy: But Law: to sacrifice that for no championship, especially a young player like Maxie. who haven't gotten his bag yet. And come on, man, I'm like, I don't mean personally. I think it's gonna be more strained than cohesiveness when it comes down to what they need to do. Troy: But I feel like a lot of players have done that though. Law: What's that? Tung. Troy: A downplay, you know what I'm saying? Well, take take the back roll. Yeah, that's like when when when LeBron had Russell. Brandon: I mean some yeah if I say Miami too. If I said Miami, a lot of people took the a lot of people took the back Troy: Yeah. Brandon: the back role in in in Miami. Cleveland, when he went back, when he went back to Cleveland, I mean what? Kyrie, Kevin Love. Troy: Love JB: Yeah, love definitely, 'cause love was a what Brandon: Tristan won Tristan Tristan won't get Tristan wouldn't get jacked shit anyway. So I mean, yeah, I mean some people have. Taking that back, bro. Miami made sense because you had everybody everybody was still in their prime. So they're like, yeah, I can take well shit, what not Kyle Clover. What's the boy's name? Ray Allen. You know he didn't need much. He already had a ring. the Mike Miller. JB: Mag mm. Brandon: Mike, yeah, yeah. I'm about to say Kyle Cova. Yeah. Mike Miller. He ain't need he didn't need much. So I mean they I mean Mario Chalmers, he sh well, I don't even think Mario was getting that. I think Mario took the backseat to Shit to Bosch Wade and LeBron as far as that pay like I don't remember Mario Chalmers getting no no no bag like that. JB: Did you see we need some we need? Troy: No Law: Bro, but all those guys, all those guys to their credit, those guys were around the same age as Lebron when they played. You talking about a dude that's coming in, year 24, that's 40 years old, and with guys in the middle of their prime. And B, I would say he's still in his prime. But when you talk about Max and Jalen Brown, them dudes in the heart of their prime. So that thinking Troy: Man, what you call her? Law: is kind of different. Like, and, and, and, Brown got a championship. Not saying that he doesn't want to win, but like not, not everybody is be like, like, I'm a, I'm a go ahead and, and play a backseat to this role and let, you know, let LeBron get the, get somebody to be step up and look like I want this shot. You know, and I think he, I think he bossed JJ Reddick around. Like you, you get, you can sit up there and say what you want about JJ Reddick and, and the way he coached and man. Troy: He tries. Law: what LeBron wanted, LeBron Brandon: Mm-hmm. Law: got, man. Anytime he drop a play for you to take the ball out and you say, ain't taking the ball out. that's, you know, come on, man. Like. JB: You know what he got well, you why J J got the job to bring on Bring Bronny. You know they they podcast. Troy: Yeah. Brandon: That's an that's another thing too. I feel I feel some of them teams they give LeBron too much too much damn power. Like for like from a like dealing with coaches and stuff. Like obviously with the Lakers, I'm like, man, boy, I'm like, boy, ain't nowhere in here. Nowhere in here. JB: That's why he handled That's why he couldn't handle Pat Riley. Pat Riley wasn't going for all that shit. Law: He wasn't going for it. JB: But Genius were like, We've been struggling, I need a championship. Do what you need to do, LeBron. This you got the keys to the Ferrari, or Bentley, what you want to call. So y'all I Troy: But he ain't bringing he he only brought to that bubble. JB: Yeah, and that's that's right. I know the ring is a ring, Law: Yeah. JB: but that's it. I know we we talked about Brown just now. Do y'all feel like 'cause I thought he'll he didn't get traded, right? He signed, did he get traded? Yeah, he traded for Paul. I mean for Paul George. All right. I Law: No, JB: was still gonna say 'cause I still want to see him 'cause he 'cause I want to see him do a f have his own team. He had it half the season until Tatum came back. And once Tatum came back, it was back to the Tatum show in the playoffs pretty much. Troy: But the thing is what that is, that's it's only 'cause they wanted that light skinned boy to be that the face of that team. And then you know how JB: Right. Troy: they say. And how they say Jalen is is too s he got he got too much of a mind. That's why, you know what I'm saying, they ain't want that in Boston. Man, come on, you got a mind. we need this light skinned boy to come. JB: That was bullshit when Nike did him. Troy: Yeah. JB: Now who in that I couldn't find five people, ten people on that damn U.S. team that was better than Brown. And Brown was having a hell of a year. You mean to tell me this dude didn't qualify for the Team USA? All right, so let's let's move on to another another part of the show. We're gonna talk about some hip hop. give me our top five greatest hip hop groups of all time. I I can go I I go with mines person y'all then I'll give you a couple name. For me, number I'm number one is Ghetto Boys to me. I'm gonna go NWA, gotta represent New Orleans, Hot Boys, the locks and Bones and Bone Thugs and Homney. That's my top five I got for mines. Which one? Troy: I got I got the locks, outcast, high boys, without Turk, UGK, UGK, and JB: I start with church. Yeah, yeah. Troy: damn, rooting. JB: All thirty of Troy: Yeah. Law: You JB: What you got, Laura? Law: how was, how was one, thanks. NWA, I like NWA. We talking about rap groups, JB: Yeah. And then they got outcasts like Wu Kang, Trico. Law: Then Rough Riders, Rough Riders is the one. JB: Three six Mafia, Migos, Eight Ball and MJ G. That's a that was a that's that's not honorable me. Law: Hey, bro. Troy: yeah, A bar, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. JB: G Unit was high for a while, clips Law: G-Unit was how I was thinking about G-Unit too. Troy: Yeah, the clips. JB: Everything else is this Brandon: Yeah. JB: this is this probably Eric thing right here, Troy. Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. That's that's Law: yeah, that's... yeah, that's... What the hell was that? That was the 70s, huh? JB: Right, exactly. That's why Troy: Hmm. Early. Yeah, yeah. That Eric probably wanna be saying that that yeah, cool mode, yeah. Law: Hehehehehe JB: yeah, no I know you got a little I know you always see how we we operate a law. Eric is like the older group. He he's the older person in the group, so we always crack on him Law: Duh. JB: draw with the glasses and imitate him. You know, we we all been working together for a long time, but that's what you got. What you got, B? Brandon: Ooh, top five. Damn, best ever. JB: Whatever group you have, not that'd be ever your your top five. Don't say no city girls, Brandon: Mm. JB: man. Don't say no city girls. Law: Ha Brandon: I'll cast for sure. Wu Tang. Definitely fuck with the locks. that's stream. I'm gonna pay homage with this one 'cause if it wasn't for them, they they kinda pioneered in the mainstream. It I'm gonna throw a run DMC in there. JB: Yeah, add them on this. Brandon: that last spot. what I see, Wu-Tang, locks, run DMC, outcast. Yeah no. I don't wanna be biased. I wanna say the hot boys, but you know what? Fuck it, the hot boys. Fuck it. JB: So that's now you Law: Man, just speaking of the Hot Boy, did y'all see that clip that came out, Master P was doing an interview. I don't know how recent it was, but he said that JB: Can we talk about? Law: Wayne and Turk was trying to go to no limit. And then they went following the clip. Back then with Turk, they actually were saying that he had a conversation because Birdman, he wasn't breaking them all. I mean, know, P was taking care of them, them houses. Rolexes and cars, that's what he said. And he was saying that him and Wayne talked about leaving, going to no limit in the early days. JB: Saw that man, th what y'all think about I don't know if y'all saw the I think I sent you the clip, Troy. I know y'all I y'all follow Turk, man. That dude's a he he gotta do what he gotta do. He Troy: I'm t I'm tired of turf. JB: You're not the only one. He said that I guess Juvie said on his show that he was the one that that got soldier slim out of out of jail the his last round. And everybody especially, you know, everybody going crazy like, nah, that didn't happen, this happened. Turk went on a whole rant about it. Law: Like build them out. JB: Yeah, Bell Juke. He Troy: Yeah. JB: said, 'Cause it it sounded like BS to me 'cause June didn't even name my Troy: He went talk yeah. JB: name. Say, I think you said you like Bird, Bird. They like, who else? Well first off, if Bird was a wanted Slim on his team, Bird would be worth that that's that's when I think they got that thirty mil or whatever they got. Bird should have got him off automatic. He was a millioness of fifteen. You want Law: Yeah. JB: Slim was the hottest one of the hottest commodities and rappers in New Orleans at the time. Well I know P came and swept sweep him up. First of I don't want my money back. If I was Juve and Bird, I didn't put all this money up to get you out of jail. Y'all think that was B S that Drew was saying? Troy: Then he talking about but they left me but they left me out they left me in jail. You know what I'm saying? Turkish, man, Turkish fucking clown, man. Like real talk, man. That dude need to just He need go back at Walmart Law: You Troy: and try to, you know, sell his his album with that fake ass chain. That's what he needed to do. Cause Law: Hehehehehe Brandon: Mm-hmm. Troy: that dude, man. And then that boy talking about cause I'm a legend. A legend? What? JB: Thank you. That's great. Troy: Man, that boy that dude is trash, bruh. JB: Yeah, just w I wondering when y'all caught up with that one, but last question I got for y'all on this one. if y'all can put three of any three three solo hip hop artists together in one group, three of which group, what what rap what artists would y'all put in that group? It'd be anybody. Brandon: Any three? JB: Any three rappers. Brandon: I'm going I'm going two desists and one still rolling. Tupac. DMX. And old crazy ass Kanye. Kanye gonna make the beat for him. And he gonna he gonna be the middle ground between a Pac verse and a DMX verse. JB: That's a nice building lineup. What you got, Troy? Troy: Yeah, Yeah. Jay-Z Wayne and Jay the Kiss. JB: Hello? Law: I got a Tupac win and you. JB: nice. I got Jay Wayne and X. Gotta feel good one now. Got all of them all them good. one group gotta go. One record label, I that one record label, no limit. Cash money, debt roll or bad boys. Brandon: That's too easy. Too easy. JB: Exactly. Brandon: No limited cash money ain't going nowhere. growing up, I listened to pop way more than I don't even think I really listened to Biggie, besides the shit that came on the box or on the radio. So bad boys, can't stop, won't stop. Yeah. Troy: Yeah, that's the same same. Brandon: 'Cause you take bad boy out, you ain't really you ain't really losing nothing. You you lose you lose Biggie, you lose Lil Kim, you lose Troy: A little bit of locks. Brandon: Junior Junior Ma well Yeah, the lot. Junior I mean Junior Mafia wouldn't really jack shit. one JB: One twenty twelve, fade Evans. Brandon: tw one twelve, Faith Evans, Mary J. I mean, it balanced out. I'm still standing on my decision. Bad boy out of here. Troy: Yeah, but then you could you could pull you could pull cash money too. You know? Cause like with no limit, they had so many, you know what I'm saying, artists that was had some nice music. So that's a tough one. But I I'll I'll say JB: I'm gonna go with Defro with me. Law: Yeah, Ro, that's the group you eliminate? Troy: Yeah, that's true. That's true because if it Brandon: Outside of punk. Troy: Yeah. And and and Snoop Yeah, that's true. JB: Snoop had one album. R and G. One G. I just figured to me Bad Boy had just a little bit of everything from the R and B to the rap. Troy: Yeah, that's true. JB: that's that's where I get. Law: Didn't Bad Boy, they had, not Bad Boy, I mean Dead Row, didn't he get all of the NWA, all of them boys signed with Dead Row, all them dudes from NWA? No. JB: and Easy had his own thing. Easy had his own thing with Bone Thug on Drake. 'Cause Dr D after Dre went there. But everybody else, Ray was just hanging around like Turk right now. Just just want to be somewhere. Brandon: Cube did yeah, at that time Cube did his own thing and started dipping off into the JB: Yeah, we can get thought. Brandon: to the to the move to the movie to the movie scenes with Boys in the Hood and all the other higher learning and all that that little run he had in the early to mid nineties. JB: Yeah. Law: Say Troy, don't think Birdman should have let the man be a part of the tour, right? Troy: Man, hell nah, bruh. Listen, and the reason why I say that, the reason why I say that, because listen, at at some point, you ain't pulled to talk. You know what I'm saying? A lot of shit that was going on. Yeah, when he was talking about like how the you know the j you know they had the Geneva watches and all that, yeah, that was cool, right? But you Law: Hmm. Troy: just kept on, kept on talking about what's going on. And then I just feel like, dog, at some point. Somebody gotta tell you to shut the hell up. Like his wife. I I I understand like your wife's supposed to be in your corner, but at some point, she gotta be like, babe, we gotta get this money. Chill. You know what I'm saying? And the thing is, like Law: No. Right. Right. Troy: when he was talking about, you know, like now he, you know, he was at he was at BG at first, then he wanna get on Juve. But nigga, at one time Juve was helping you eat. Because Ju when Juven was going on that 400 degrees tour in the beginning. When he was at Jazz Fest, he was bringing you to different little places. He was bringing he was feeding you. But now you look what you do, you turn your back on him. Like he I don't know, but he Since he Yeah, JB: Fresh too, he on he should have on Fresh. Troy: now he all fresh. JB: Talking about Fresh said that the video I sent y'all today, Fresh said that he he said, Fresh, you wanna since y'all wanna do this, wanna talk? Do Birdman he was like damn bird. He like a little Birdman, he said, Do Birdman know that you calling him broke? Juvie, since you you in this too, Juvie, you just told me that you had to stun and had to borrow money from you. So it's like shit like that, man. I'm like sometimes some of that shit just hold it. Troy: Yeah. He talked too much. He just wanna be he just wanna JB: Yeah, what you want me he talked about. Troy: be seen. He gotta be no you know what I'm saying? Well he the the eyes on him and he you know everybody want him. But though he do terrible, bro. JB: We notice. Brandon: Man, you gotta r you gotta respect Turk Ma. He said it's him in Lawder. JB: He if you notice when he don't when if he don't name any if he don't talk about the hot boys, Manny Fresh and all Juve and all them boys, is he don't have nothing to do. Exactly. So Brandon: He ain't got nothing to talk about. JB: that's why that's Troy: And he just wanna be relevant. JB: exactly then he went back and read don't know that that's that's the kid. That's that's that's some bullshit to me. He went back and read all the comments, text messages that that Manny sent out to meet. Troy: Yeah. UNBG was having. Yeah. Law: Okay JB: Then they said he was reading it so slow. we over here getting bags and you over at Walmart. I'm like Troy: And then he trying to grab my boy Booster, bruh. Like Booster said, man, you got a spreadsheet, bruh. You know what I'm saying? Like, come on, bruh. Like you got a spreadsheet out here. Ye you gotta JB: Something Troy: have a spreadsheet. You gotta have a s sheet of paper, bruh. You got an index card. JB: Exactly. Law: Hey Troy: You know? Law: bro, I got a no limit cash money question too. Talking about the business side of it. And when them boys were no limit data in 98, all them records sold, all the money made. You look at them orders down the line like now, years later, it don't seem like their business was in order, Because I'm sure right now, both of those organizations of making money from the nineties, like money still coming in somewhere. Like not empowering your artists to be like the things that they wanted and the things that they were connected to, to get their copyright in an order, get their publishing for songs so they can set their families up for generations. And you got two boss hogs like Baby and P still making money to this day off... of songs and shit 30 years ago. How y'all feel about that? you know, those dudes and building their companies but didn't really empower their artists to be successful when they got older, as far as the money-wise. Troy: But Snoop said it, Snoop said it, you what I'm saying? Pete did a whole lot for him. You know what I'm saying? He was like, he did a whole lot. He was like when he was buying the cars for me, the house, he put it in my name. It wasn't in his name. So you know what I'm saying? Snoop always give big ups to Master P about what happened. Law: But you don't think Snoop was in a kind of a different situation? Because Snoop had already made a lot of money as an artist and knew the business side of it. So was it Master P being that loyal or was it knowing that you couldn't get over, you couldn't pull things Brandon: Thank you. Law: over Snoop and what he put his name on in the records that he was attached to? JB: I think it was both kind of like Brandon: Probably both but I say both. JB: what Charger said on when Snoop did come to him, his pockets wasn't what it was. Remember, Snoop just Troy: Yeah, at all. JB: went through the murder charge, murder court, a lot of that money was gone and he really didn't have a hit. So P I think P was like, you know what? He's a big artist. I can use him when I'm number one record company. I can make this. I think it was a little bit of both. Brandon: though. He for sure, he for sure learned something. Cause he mean JB: Yeah, he definitely did. Brandon: after after he left No Lemon, shit, Snoop been what super, super, Troy: That that dude. Brandon: super cons like consecutive making, you know, albums, money. Then I said, all right, he went to Nelly route. Well shit, his rapture is still cool, but let me let me get into this commercial world and then look at you see him now. Mont Troy: Paper. Brandon: Monday night, well they they switched him up for Monday night football. They Nelly doing it now, but I'm like, you doing stuff with Shit, the NFL, the the Olympics, they got you, they got you JB: What do it? Troy: A Brandon: doing stuff with Olympic Yeah, so I'm off the steward. So I mean Troy: Listen. Brandon: he he he yeah. Law: Snoop is a global artist, man. He is a true global artist, bro. Everybody knows Snoop Dogg, JB: Yes. Troy: Say bro Snoop Hey you see s you see Snoop on everything. JB: Yeah. Law: Everything, bruh. Everything. His marketing, whoever his marketing team was, bruh, Troy: Hey. Law: to kind of get him where he need to be, hats off to them, though. Troy: But like he say, I saw I saw something where he was like, you know, he all he'll go ask somebody, man, how you do man, how I can get on this, how you get man, he w man he said he go axe. He don't, you know what I'm saying? He was like, I'll be shy, man. He was like, I'm gonna ask. How can I be down with this? Give me on with this. Man, listen, bruh, I give it to him, bro. He cause he's doing his thing. JB: Another thing on law on what w what you was saying about the we heard cash money stories about how the babies always he never put no yeah hey you want a car, take one of my cars. You need some money, Law: Yeah. JB: just come out of BG and everybody else's mouth. He 'cause I've I've learned I learned that a lot of that stuff be just you put in your your company tax write out. That's Troy: Tax write off. Yeah. JB: getting up. Now as far as no limit, I heard stories where and this isn't I heard stories where a lot of those auditors at the time they didn't invest their they their money right. P was P was buying Troy: Yeah. JB: them houses, you know, putting them in houses in Baton Rouge, wherever they was at. They just wasn't using that money right. Like they was wanting to buy the cars, the jewelry. I'm just gonna buy what I've I've heard. I'm just not showing I'm not saying it's a hundred percent true, but just going about I heard they was they was doing shit like that instead of buying a house. You know, once once you buy the houses is yours, you just pay your taxes on and everything. Them cars, jewelry, all that stuff was just that's what a lot of them did from that's from Lolim was doing. They just wanna party Troy: But at the end of the day, but at the end of the day with that man, a lot of them boys come from the ghetto. They ain't used to having no money. So when you get a little Law: Then it was Troy: bit of the money, you gonna you gonna blow a lot of it. So that's a lot that's what happened with a lot of that. Most definitely. JB: I was told P I was told P helped educated them on what to do with their money and stuff. That's what I was I was told. So it just like they just they just didn't anybody can can tell you what to do, it's all it's all about what you do with it. Troy: yeah. JB: That's that was a good question on that one. But we already know Cash Money story. Let's let's move let's transfer to comedy right fast, fellas. what are y'all feeling a lot of these younger younger comedians coming out these days from the from the I know I guess a lot of countries Yeah, I Troy: Mojo Brooks? JB: know I don't know if y'all saw it, but they have a lot of back and forth about him with his last special. Brandon: I didn't even see the I didn't even see the special. Troy: I ain't finish it. I ain't finished it. Mojo Brooks. No, Mojo. Law: we talking about a, Drew's key? my bad, my bad, my bad. I didn't Troy: I ain't finished it. JB: It it it was it was good. It was all right. Brandon: He seemed like a crowd he seemed like he one of them ones where he gotta engage with the crowd to g to get his shit off. JB: That's what everybody kept saying. He Law: Yeah. JB: a c I forgot they call it that kind of style. but that's what they're saying about him. He's just that's what he is. But a lot of a lot of the old veterans are some of give the young young guys love and a lot of don't like the way they coming up on social media. Sh if you got it easy with social media, you know, do what you gotta do. I I guess Troy: the JB: I guess my question is, are y'all feeling a lot of the the younger ones that's coming out now from the country wing to Mo to D C Fly, Young Fly? Law: Man, I'm an old school, I'm only 40 years old, but I'm an old school comedian connoisseur, bruh. I'm a Eddie Murphy, raw, delirious, I watch Fred Sanford. My comedy go back to where it was, them dudes can stand there and strike a stage and having you laughing for two hours. Troy: Yeah, because they didn't do that crowd stuff. So yeah. Law: Yeah, right? Like you, you know, you had a little bit of it, but you wasn't, you wasn't making, you wasn't making your content to what you had in the crowd. Robin Harris, another one. So when it come to comedy, these days, I take the old school 10 times over, man. And JB: That's it. Law: I understand these guys, get, they getting their money, man. Social media is kind of where they at. They building their platforms and they getting the views and the eyes to make their money. But as far as like rolling on the floor laughing. I haven't seen that kind of comment in a long time, bruh. Brandon: End the thing. Troy: I'm about to tell ya, Country Wang not bad. I I saw him live. Country JB: Yeah. I did too. Troy: Wang not bad. I I I like him. I think live with the Country Wayne probably like the best. You know, 'cause he don't really do all that the the crowd work. You know, Law: Mm. Troy: he more of a you know, I'm gonna say my c you know, my stuff and that's it. But everybody else, you know, do crowd work, you know, so JB: Yeah, but I I see the same thing. Brandon: I'm kinda yeah, I'm kinda like law. I like like the old, like the old school version of kind, cause now it's like, I mean, most of these young dudes, not even like young dudes who I like, they don't really do like comedy like that. Like Desi Banks, he don't really do comedy. Nigga got hella skits. JB: Yeah. Brandon: Drewski, Law: Right. Brandon: I don't know what the hell you define Drewski as, but nigga got some fun funny. You got some he got some funny ass Troy: Is he a is he a comedian? Brandon: skits. Now he yeah, I don't know, yeah, I don't know define him as, but I mean he For us them skits, you him and Desi, he like on that Desi level, like he gonna come with some funny skits. Mojo, like I said, I ain't see the special, but just watching his little clips I see on IG just seeming like, okay, he wanted them one, he gon work the crowd. I can't see him standing there doing like a a Dave Chappelle or Mike Epps, like, you know, or or Eddie Murphy like running it like that. I can't, I I can't see it. JB: Yeah, I like I like my old school. So y'all think any of those old school 'cause again I'm my Robin Harris in my top five. Y'all Law: man, that's my guy. JB: yeah. Y'all think any of those comedians from back then from the Eddie to the Richer to the Bernie Mac to Robin Harris could with the s the with the world being so sensitive now, can last right now. Troy: Nah. Now they'd have been Law: Nah, it be, nah, bro, nah. Brandon: The first the first one the first one that would have been smoking, rest in peace, they'd have got Bernie Mac the fuck up off that stage. They'd Law: To our rest. Troy: What? Brandon: have got Bernie up off that stage quick. Troy: Burner would have been gone. Talking JB: Hell yeah. Troy: about you sissy. Yeah, he'd Law: Yeah, Troy: a ben gone. Law: right. Troy: He'd have been out of here, man. Shit, JB: Hell yeah. Troy: bruh. Law: Bruh, and that was the creative genius in comedy, man. Everything was on the table. Everything had an avenue for a joke. Whether it be somebody suffering with an illness, you know what saying? Everything, like, the world is so sensitive now, bruh. Bruh. Troy: Sensitive, yeah, man. Brandon: Yeah, like even the even the I thought the shit was funny myself. Like the the Kevin Hart the Kevin Hart roast when when dude JB: Yeah, I did too. Brandon: was talking when dude was talking Cheryl Underway, he Boy he Yeah, your husband hated himself that much he got himself up out of here. I'm like, I'm laughing, but I know other people probably like, me Law: Yeah. Brandon: talking about a husband and even when boy this shit had my Facebook on fire for the whole week. Everybody talking some Tony Heathcliff, you're a racist. I ain't gonna lie. When he said that shit, when he said George Floyd probably looking up or down at you, I I bust out laughing because I knew what he meant. Like he wasn't coming from no, you know, on some racist type shit. He just came from a, you know, a a dark humor type shit. man, he looking up, he looking down, looking up at you. But you know, you go on Facebook, by this white boy making fun of George Floyd, and I'm like, yeah. Troy: Yeah, I'm about to say that's that's the but that's the thing though, you know what I'm saying? 'Cause he was a white man talking about the black people. So JB: Yeah. Troy: yeah. I ain't gonna lie, I don't like that road shit. Like that I think that's whack. For me. I think that's whack. Law: Yeah. Yeah, man. Troy: I don't like that. Like you can have that. JB: think it w depends on who's doing it for me, Law: And bro, they've been doing roast for years on end. Now, when you look Brandon: Wow. It just got it yeah, it just got big. Law: back at them older school dudes, them dudes did like the stuff that they actually told jokes. You know what I'm saying? JB: Yeah, that's a different Law: Like they wasn't trying to hit on like Cheryl. I thought that was kind of belittable. I mean, that's like a personal situation. so them Troy: The Law: dudes was doing it different, man. They actually... had content, they had to sit down and amass their Troy: Right. Law: craft. JB: Right. Law: Like right now, I still think Raw is the greatest stand-up comedy show ever in history. JB: Thank you. Troy: You so crazy. You so crazy. You so crazy. Listen, listen, listen, listen. I think it's one A one B. Ryan and you so crazy. Law: that's a close number too, dog, but that, okay. Brandon: Raw. Troy: like that's that's like my favorite too. Like, Brandon: Rah. Law: All right. Troy: but you so crazy? man, bruh, like Brandon: Raw, Law: Yo. Brandon: you so raw, you so crazy. Dave Chappelle had one. I just can't remember which one it was. Dave Chappelle had one that was that was that he had he had one of them that was that was Law: Dave's a power guy. Dave's a power guy. some heat. Brandon: that was up there too. I'm kind of with you, love. I mean Delirious was cool, but but raw, he was like, okay, I didn't I didn't open y'all up with Delirious Raw. I'm about to, I'm about to, yeah. Law: Yeah, Rode, man, it all came over Rode, Rode was something, man, Rode was something serious, Brandon: Now one person, I mean, when he started out, he was okay. But now, me personally, I can't stand his ass. I don't think he's funny. Kevin Hart, his first two, JB: it. Yeah. Brandon: his first two specials, cool. After that, it just seemed like it just Troy: I'ma say the first I'ma say the first three. First three to four. I ain't gonna lie, it was was straight, you know. I I enjoyed them. Brandon: I can't remember the third one. I remember the the the one with the the one when he was like, get fire on these bitches. that like down down down was cool and yeah, that would have been his third one then, yeah. So his first three, yeah, but other than that, it's just like, dude, you doing it's like you it ain't funny no more. Like you like JB: Yeah, I wouldn't have seen him in person when he first first came out. He before he started Yeah Troy: Yeah, I I remember seeing him at Essence. I remember I saw him at Essence and he it was nice. Law: I remember that, Troy: You know what I'm saying? JB: Yeah, I want you he up and down to me. some stuff he good, like a lot of his some of his movies be at first he got too much of the same character. I'm glad he's trying to change up his his his his his his contents of his movies and stuff. Brandon: Night night night school, she the one with the night school, same character. The one with with the two movies he did with Ice Cube, sam JB: Yeah. Brandon: same same same thing. JB: That's why some great Troy: I like the one I like the one when he was the what is called? when he was raising his daughter by herself when the the mama died. I ain't gonna lie, I like that movie. I think he really played that movie. Like, you know. Yeah. I like JB: I say he he changed his character. I that's what I like he got his Troy: the other one when when the guy he was JB: Wheelchair. Troy: like a yeah, in the wheelchair. Yeah, like that one was good. So he played some he played some good stuff, bruh. JB: Right. Yeah but Law: Yeah, man. But Troy: Ghard. Law: he kind of... A lot of people make money just like those guys back in the day. Bernie Max and all them boys. Them boys was making money too. And their material stayed hot. Everybody don't have the same drive once they started. And man, Kevin Hart making a lot of money, Kevin Hart all over the place, bro. Yeah. JB: yeah. He he rocks though. That's exactly what he Law: Yeah. And JB: is. He only Law: then you also, you also, because Kat Williams kind of touched on this too. When you get into that mainstream and start crossing over to the audiences that may not look like you, you have to clean it up. You got to it up. And he did a good job of that. He did a real good job of that. Brandon: I mean shit, you it the person you said at the beginning, he did a damn good job of it. We we done seen we went from Law: Yeah, yeah. Brandon: we done went from shrading places forty-eight hours, Beverly Hills cock Troy: Yeah. Brandon: to Shrek, Dr. Doolittle Doctor Doctor Doolittle, yeah he cleaned it, cleaned cleaned it, it's cleaned it cleaned it all the way up. Shrek, Dr. Doolittle, clean cleaned it all the way up. Law: Yep, yep, yep. I was just about to say that. Clean, man. JB: Matt. Law: Yep, Eddie, man, yep, Eddie went and got that money too, man. And I wasn't a big fan of it, because I was like, I was a huge Eddie Murphy fan, bruh. Them doctor do little movies, bro. Like, where my dog went, bruh? Troy: Man, Norbert. Norbert is my Brandon: I forgot about nobody. I forgot about I for I forgot about Noabit. I forgot about Noah. I forgot about Noabit. Troy: favorite movie. Boy, that's my favorite movie, boy. Listen. Respuff. Law: You JB: What's the goal? Law: But when you find out he got $50 million from them Dr. Dolittle movies, then I guess you understand why. Troy: Say bruh, listen. Hey JB: Shoot, let's let's go on to this one, y'all. Which which the which what yeah which black sitcom is the funny of all time? I got Morton, Sampin's son, Fresh Prince, Jamie Foxx, Wayne Brothers, and Bernie Maxwell. Troy: Severance, huh? Law: That's my favorite. That's my shit. Troy: Listen, 'cause you never knew what you was gonna get out of Fred, yo. Like that shit was funny as hell. You know, JB: Yeah, Britt. Troy: but then you know Martin was Martin was good too, but man, Sanford and Sun was the shit. JB: Yeah. Brandon: I gotta go I I gotta go with my boy and man. I ain't really watch San Francisco or something like that, but I gotta go with the Wayne brothers. Law: Morning Brothers was... JB: Yeah. Brandon: the Wayne brothers. Every episode Marlin was Marlin was gonna Marlin was gonna have you die laughing every episode. And don't don't mention Pops whenever he had his little hot lines. Law: Yeah, that was a high school. But yeah, I'm right. JB: go I love this summer but I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with Martin. All right y'all let's we Yeah, I'm Law: You say Martin? JB: gonna go with Martin, man. I just love Martin. Law: yeah, I agree with Martin. Martin was one of my favorites too. JB: To this day. All right, I call this one what is this, start, cut, and bench. I'm gonna give y'all a few names and y'all tell me the gr six men are the greatest six men. I got Jinobli, Lou Williams, and Jamal Cur Jamal Crawford. Who y'all got started? Brandon: Start cut bench. Troy: starting Crawford. I'm starting Crawford. I'm benching Lou and I'm cutting Genobly. Law: or I'm the opposite on that. I'm starting genobly, I'm benching Crawford, I'm cutting lube. Brandon: I'm the same w I'm the same with Law. I need Ginobili I need I need Ginobili starting. I need Crawford coming, give me that high fifteen plus off the bench with Lemon Pepperloo, you you outta here. JB: Yeah, money. Troy: You can't do limit pepper like that. Listen. Hey. Brandon: Rafael gonna put your ass on them skates and bust one in your face. JB: Hell yeah. Alright, Law: Yeah. JB: next one I got for y'all legendary sinners. Hakeem Hakeem, Shaq, and Kareem. I ain't I didn't I even put no Wilk here 'cause I know none of us was around when he was did this thing. Troy: Man, listen, I Hakeem Brandon: Mm. Troy: I'ma say what say that again. Shaq Stardon. JB: Akeem. Troy: Yes. Shaq Hakeem, whatcha he can go. JB: Green. Troy: Yeah. 'Cause my JB: Yeah, but Troy: thing is, 'cause ki Kareem Law: I'm the same way. Troy: do that in in the era with Shaq in there. No, probably not. Brandon: Nah. Troy: So Law: I'm starting Shaq. Shaq, Kareem, who is that? is that? Kareem? JB: King Akin Troy: Haking Law: Hakeem. Yeah, Cutting Kareem. JB: B I B. Brandon: Same, same. JB: I think I'm shining I I'm gonna go Akeem, Shaq, then Kareem, me. Shaq was the most complicated Law: Hey, bruh. JB: but man, Kareem, I mean Akeem was just you Law: And that's what they say, I was too young to watch it. JB: Making was a was a beast, man. even though I know he got his he did his thing when Jordan was retired him two years. All right, greatest shooter of all time. Greatest shooter. I got Reggie, Steph, and Ray Allen. which I got shooting on, you know, short. Troy: Steph Ray Steph Ray Reggie. Law: Yeah, I'm with that. I'm with that. But man, they're not giving, in my opinion, Steph Curry don't get the recognition that he deserved. This might be crazy that I say this, I got Steph Curry as a top five player of all time in the NBA. Troy: Eight eight three for me. Law: Dog, Steph Curry did work on his league, in his league, bro. Steph Troy: No. Law: Curry, look Brian, Steph Curry, this is one of my LeBron moments. Steph Curry dominated the LeBron era, He took three, dog. Dog, he dominated the LeBron era, dog. He took three, he took three from Troy: No, you have so many other people, so many other people than eight off of LeBron. So listen, he got f four. JB: They try Law: Brian. He took, no, three from Brian. Troy: No, I'm saying he got full rings, him and Brian. But that's what I'm saying. Law: full range, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, right. Troy: So other people didn't ate off of LeBron error, so that's why I don't understand why they call him a goat. Law: Yeah, I'm the same. Yeah. Troy: Everybody eat off LeBron. Everybody eating off his plate. Law: Anybody that's saying that, and I guess we'll have this debate later, this whole Jordan and LeBron thing, it's not even close, dawg. It's not even close, bruh. Hey, bruh, he... Brandon: I'm I'm I'm mad that people disres I'm mad people disrespecting the mama. I'm like, that nigga wasn't better than Kobe. Troy: Green? Brandon: That nigga wasn't better than Kobe. Law: Bing JB: That's pretty. Law: was that dude. Bing was that dude. But this LeBron and if we could, think all of the accolades, man, LeBron been in league 24 years, Mike finished with 32,000 points and only played 15 years. If he would have played 24 years, he might have had 100. Brandon: That's that's what I don't get. That's what I don't get with LeBron fans. I'm like one, me personally, he wasn't better than Kobe. We seen Kobe with the shittiest of the shittiest Lakers team and then go and didn't go nowhere. Everybody came to Kobe. LeBron didn't like his situation. I'm going to another team. I'm on a team. I don't like this dude. Hey GM, I don't like him. Get him up out of there. He ain't better than Kobe to me and then the whole Michael thing. Everybody be like, man, when Brian finished, he's gonna be This this and this that this this and points. Fuck all that. You play to win. How many times that nigga done lost? You done let Dirk and them make him look like a fool when Dirk and them ran up Law: Yeah. Brandon: on him. You bring you Troy: DJ Baretta. Brandon: bring you bring this moment up, people people get blind and act like they don't hear him talking. Where was the also GOAT James when Kevin Durant was putting that shit in in his face when he was at Golden State? He ain't want no parts of Durant on defense guarding him. Let Durant just do his thing on him. So yeah, man. JB: I respect Shump, but Shump was LeBron pulled up been the defensive player. That's why when people get mad when who the who that was that said LeBron was T T Allen Allen. He said LeBron Troy: Yeah. JB: was never a lockdown defender. He was a good off ball defender. He'll block the ball, chase down or he'll help Troy: Yeah. JB: out help help defender. Yeah, he was never that. the next one I got for y'all, I got two more, we'd be done with this real quick. Wayne, I Wayne, Jay Z and Kanye. Brandon: So basically Troy: Jay Z J C Kanye Wang. Brandon: Wait, what do the one does with what is this? start bench cutter? JB: Yeah. Brandon: Alright, I'm I'm keeping Kanye crazy ass. Ooh. Dang, I'm for sure keeping Kanye. bench. JB: That's it all depends on what wane you're getting. Brandon: Yeah, Law: Yeah, well, when you get, yeah. Brandon: I'm I'm trying I'm trying yeah, is I'm again mixtape Wayne with Alvin Wayne or you know what fuck why I'll call it. I'm I'm a I'm gonna keep Jay Z Cut Wayne. Law: Thanks for Ooh, that's tough. Cutting Wayne is tough, but I didn't realize that Kanye had this so much, what he did as a producer. And that Kanye got some nice stuff before he became the artist we know is who he is. Man, some people say, some people, some people say Jay, like not the Gouda of all time, but I heard a lot of people say that too. Brandon: And and my reason for picking Wayne, if you if I'm going off a we know what mixtape Wayne gonna do, but if we going off of albums, Wayne last what, maybe two albums, versus Jay-Z Troy: Yeah. Brandon: still giving you high quality albums at at his age and rapping about different stuff now compared to Wayne, just seemed like the Wayne last album just seemed like just some some bullshit to give out. The one before that seemed like just some bullshit just to get out versus Jay Z steady giving you nice and like nice classic albums every like every time he drops them. Law: Yeah. JB: All right, y'all we're gonna put my last one. This should be quick. Michael Michael 'cause we ain't talking about not we we talking about straight artists, nothing off co off off nothing none of that off what they call it? That off off off the camera. Not off camera. Yeah, all stuff. Troy: Off antics, off of off the scene. JB: Yeah, I got Kells, Michael Jackson Ush. I know it we probably got the same I don't know. Troy: Kelly, man. Kelly Law: Calibre. Troy: Kelly Michael Osh. JB: Same yeah. Brandon: Mm. JB: I had Prince up there at first but I wasn't sure if y'all was into Prince. I don't know if y'all know history about Prince. Troy: Hey, listen, boy, Purple Rain is the one of the best albums ever, bro. Listen, you can play that thing from the from the from the beginning to the end. JB: Yeah, you could Brandon: You said no no no antics, just straight music. JB: That's great music. Troy: Yeah. Brandon: Mike for sure. I mean R. Kellan and R. Kellan and Quiety Quietly, Quietly, Troy: Right. Brandon: wrote some shit for other people too, that we ain't that you ain't know. Like, damn, yeah, Kales has something do with that. So I will pick Usher, but I'm I'm I'm gonna Troy: Man, R. Kelly the best ever. Brandon: have to go I'll go with Kales and unfortunately cut cut Usher, but yeah, man. Mike yeah. JB: Yeah, I got Kale's Cale's MJ and Usher. First one up. This one here The man have the man the man been playing ball. sis and everything been good. Get ready, Troy, because you're gonna be like, damn, I believe in this guy. In two thousand, and with the year with his dad, he was averaging twenty I mean two per nine perts a game, two point eight rebounds with assists, one point two assists. I think he's up to three percent now. three assists and three rebounds. Law: Yeah, bro. Brian ain't gonna be out to leave in two years, JB: yeah, that's him back in. Law: Got it out. Brandon gonna be out of the league in two years, Brandon: Cut it out, John. JB: I Brandon: Cut it out. JB: know you heard those numbers, Troy. I know you probably be impressed with him. He he was averaging like two per three when his dad was there. Now you're up to three percent a game. In like a like half assist Law: You JB: a game. So you you see him being part of that big three this year? Law: Bro, Troy: The whom? Law: call me when he get to be in the second lineup in the rotation. Call me when he get in the rotation, bro. I can't. Troy: Man, Listen, I won't be surprised if they wave him, bruh. Man, Listen, bro, that dude ain't good, bro. We should still Law: Yeah Troy: be in college, man. Shit. JB: Right. I a couple of highlights from the preseason game. Troy: But Bryce is the better player though. Law: Bryce looked like he was up there. Yeah. Brandon: Please on. JB: Yeah. I agree with you. All right, Troy: Yeah. Law: Yeah. He gonna start this here. JB: so we're gonna move on to yours right fast. I got a couple of these up with this one. What is KP, man? Troy: Listen bruh, listen bruh, I don't know, he just tall. He ain't that dude. Brandon: Well. JB: Back up, yeah. Troy: Yeah, he ain't that dude bruh. He just, he, I don't know, he soft as mother. JB: Thanks to Hell Dam. Troy: He too soft. Yeah, he stay getting hurt. He ain't that dude. JB: Next pack out for your joy. Troy: man. I like Trey. I ain't even gonna play him right now. I like Trey, bro. Trey, he just was on a terrible team. He don't have to have his career. So, but he can just shoot the ball. That's all he can really do. He can't do nothing else, but he can shoot it. JB: Last one I got for you. I'm going off I'm I'm putting this one up because he snissed on it, man. Law: Yeah, that do. JB: Man Troy: What are they? I can't see. JB: that's that the snitch, you see the jersey on the name on the back snitch. Got that man fire. Troy: Listen, listen, bro. He ain't that, he a regular seasonal, regular season dude, bruh. Law: And that he's regular season player. That's exactly what it is. JB: Bruh that Law: That's it. JB: even just the shit that he did to that man, bro, again, like you yeah, I got you. Troy: Yeah. You know what it was? I just think he got butt hurt. You know what saying? That somebody even said that. You know what I'm saying? So he was like, look what he even said. You know? So. JB: Yeah, that was that was some Troy: Yeah. JB: that was some fucked up shit on on that one. All right. let me get to this last one. All right, fellas, this one here we're gonna talk about I can wait for the top. We got to not that dude. I call just the real part, just the real talk part of it. Loyalty and v betrayal. But this one pretty much Max and what's Honestly, I can put this question is lo is loyalty disappearing or people just only loyal to loyal loy l loyal to you when it counts and it benefits them? Troy: Yeah, definitely. JB: The only benefit. Troy: I don't know when, yeah, most definitely, without a doubt. Cause I didn't had, I didn't had niggas and changed up dog. And that's like the worst ever. When you thought y'all was down, like we called each other brothers, at the end of the day, nigga, you turned, you changed up. Like that's a mess of shit. You know? So yeah. JB: Right. Law: what was the question again, sir? JB: are people lo is as is loyalty disappearing, are people only loyal to you as long as it benefits them? Law: I think, think as long as it's benefiting to them. I think, I think people switch up depends on, depending on what the situation is, man. Not everybody, not everybody that see they have your back. Like when the shit like hit the fan and like, it's really time for you to step up and show up for that person. Yeah, I can speak personally. JB: Right. Brandon: Yeah, when you can't you know, to their point, if you you know, you helping a partner out and shit, and then you know, shit when you need that help, nigga, nigga go ghost on you. So like, yeah, it depend on what how much you do for somebody, they they what they say, that all that they'll run you drive. Then when you need that, when you need that life, Raf is like, shit, nigga, you you got it, you're on your own. JB: Exactly. Yeah, I feel like kinda back with Troy said, you feel like they wanna see you fail. You ever feel like that Troy? Or once you all like you see you thought Troy: That'll do. JB: there was your brother, then you see them disappear but like you feel like they No, a lot of a lot of time they talk shit about you. They wanna see you fail. You can you can tell. Troy: Yeah, man, listen, man. That's some real shit, Like, nigga wanna see you fail, nigga wanna think, they're smiling your face, bruh. Like, it's all good, but behind your back? pillow target? Like, dog nigga talking mad shit about you. Law: Right. JB: That's the worst part to me, man. that snake part. You laughing in my face. But you know, these days, some some people just great at doing at hiding it, but you can tell the ones with real fake, but man, don't laugh. Don't sit up here and laugh in my face, then you go around and talk about me and the next person faces and that. That's something I I never respect a man doing that shit. That was always whole shit to me. That's why I my circle real small. I don't even like to use the word friends. Law: Ha ha. JB: Shit. No, no only got shit. I got I got people I hang around with, good friends, brothers, like I call Troy Brandon: Yeah, yeah. JB: and Ken and my brothers. But I didn't have everybody friends and I you I fuck with a couple Brandon: Which whatcha peop what your people used to I know my grandma used to tell me this when school said, You got friends, nigga, you got you got associates. JB: Yeah, the socialist. Same thing my mom just tell me. All right. Next question I got for y'all. What's worse what's worse being betrayed by a close pan a close friend or being betrayed by somebody that's in your own family? Brandon: Family. Troy: Bro. Brandon: I say family. You could you Law: I am there for sure. Brandon: could you could you can make friends with anybody, but once that once that's family, once that family trust is broken, yeah, you can forgive and forgive, but then back in your mind you're gonna be you're gonna be like, damn boy, like damn. Why Johnny why Johnny do me like that? That's supposed to be my that's supposed to be my uncle, my my cousin, my brother, a friend. It's like, but nigga, if you do that then fuck, you weren't my friend to begin with, nigga. I could make but you can make another friend. You can't make another, you know. Another family. You know, in law Troy: Nah, but at this bit... Brandon: in laws, in laws, yeah, but you can't you're immediate. Yeah, you yeah, that family hit it hit a little deep because that's that's gonna hit you harder than a friend. Like you were saying, Troy, but yeah, you know my partner, you know, you my partner, you know, did whoop de whoop, that kinda hurt. But nigga, if your blood brother, sister, mom, dad or somebody do too, then you're gonna be Well damn, that that's gonna hit you, that's gonna hit you way different than a nigga you consider close. Troy: But I just feel like especially we got years years invested in each other, you know I'm saying like that that's That's I consider you as a brother at this point and we got ten or plus more years like you You turn your back or you do some snake. No, I can't I Can't like how they say I can forgive but I can't forget that and I would never be a friend of yours Never. I'm dealing with that right now. JB: Right. Law: Yeah, I feel the same way. It will be a friend to me, family. That's kind of hard to get past. you know, you see friends come a dime a dozen, man. People fall out of friendship a whole lot. But yeah, it will be family for me. JB: Yeah, I'm I'm the same family, but on on one note, sometimes to me, I feel like and this is me personally, I feel like my I feel like I might be more closer than my with my my my b my brother, my best friend, like with Troy, sometimes than my than your own brother. 'Cause I know I Troy: I don't know you. Law: Yeah. JB: I 'cause me and this dude, man, he was with me through everything. So I I love my brother and everything, but being real, I I feel like I hate the I hate just the family b like you said, a family betrayal is one of the worst ones for me. I know and say y'all saying you can always make friends for this and that, but sometimes you can't make a brother like that. somebody Troy: Right. JB: who bent you for this and that and I know won't turn my back, won't turn the back on me, won't do this, won't do that shit. like I said, he was there for me through everything. he It is what it It's called real talk. I don't you know, I don't my wife said she told me to stop putting mic in fr in front of me. I talk too fucking much. But that's why I didn't tell her I was doing this part on the show. I didn't tell her this part. I know she would have been here hitting the buzzer button. She'd probably been Troy: . Law: Ha ha ha ha Brandon: Yeah. Law: ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha JB: But man, it's on but again, I just feel like my opinion, man, brother on family betrayal, but I I just feel sometimes my opinion, I this is off the thing, but I I'm I I can be you can be closer with a a a friend than a family member at times. it hurts when family fuck over you or do this and that to you, but that friend man, if you find the right one, that's just my opinion, man. Troy: Yeah, well, I know what me I know what me you know I'm saying like with my betrayal I I went to high school with I thought like nigga we was running it you know I'm saying and then when I got my divorce Nigga that nigga switched up on me. think I went on her side I think I befriended her I'm talking about nigga. He coming to my son games to go see talk to her and It's just like a lot, man. Like, we supposed to be dogs. We supposed to be friends. But then you switched up like that. Like, dude, like. Brandon: that's that's different, different. Yeah, that's yeah, yeah, yeah. Troy: That's a cake for me. I just can't respect that. JB: Right. Yeah, that's that's why Alex said it that's just this question, that question, man. I could have went so many different ways with that one. But I try to I I I try to be be real with it, but at the same time, I'm just gonna let them leave that alone. Anybody else got anything else to say about that one? Or I can have a whole nother session on that, but I'm gonna leave it alone. Law: Yeah, bro. Yeah, I'm trying to. Yeah. I can go deep into that, Troy: But look, got, you know what saying? I even got family, But I even got family with this shit. Like, nigga, the lady who raised me, my auntie, my great aunt. Man, when she passed away, nigga, my cousins and them ain't put me on the obituary. I wasn't her, you know, I ain't carry her or nothing. But, they basically raised me. Damn, they're my whole life. And nigga, when she died, nigga, I don't have, you don't mention my name for nothing. But when we grow up, we was like cousins, siblings. But y'all like that was another painful moment for me too with family. JB: Right. It's crazy. All again, I want thank everybody that's been watching the show so been watching the show with us. And wanna go ahead and say also this is this is my sixteenth podcast show of sports. A lot of people said statistics said that most people don't make it to eight. I was supposed to say something yesterday, but I forgot so much stuff going on. so and also happy birth happy happy birthday, Jer Jeremy. I've got to say that yesterday. My son, he made eighteen. I got I got Jonathan, he's in college, and Jeremy a senior. Law: Which one you post with still playing football? JB: Both of on Jeremy and Jon well, Jonathan in college. That's that's that's two one. Well, he's he's number four now. He's playing at Austin College in Jeremy's in Law: Okay. JB: Jerm still in high school. This is last year. But he's more of a a track, he he's more into a track 'cause he got the the school record for long jump and triple jump. He long he Law: Gotcha. JB: loved football but he's more into that that track. Troy: Man, man got me in that brownie jersey. We need to take that off. Law: You JB: I don't know if y'all if y'all just just so y'all know, every time I put him in a jersey or a shirt, it's somebody that he definitely don't like. Like I had him in the the Bryan High School jersey. DK DK Law: Yeah. JB: Matcalf shirt. So I always put him in something that he don't like. A player that he he definitely hate.
