  SPEAKER_00: Now this isn't true for all writers, of course, but I think for most of us it is.

  SPEAKER_00: You might say it's a golden thread that ties it all together.

  SPEAKER_00: She said, in all my work, what I try to say is that as human beings, we are more alike than we are unalike.

  SPEAKER_00: So let me ask you, is there a theme or an idea that you keep coming back to?

  SPEAKER_00: Maybe something that you're trying to say, but you never quite feel that you get it right?

  SPEAKER_00: If so, that feeling of not getting it quite right is not an indication that you're inadequate, it's a sign that you still have more to say.

  SPEAKER_00: In fact, I would encourage you to lean into it.

  SPEAKER_00: The more that you do, the more your writing will resonate with people because it represents the truth of who you are and how you see the world.

  SPEAKER_00: And if you've been true to your golden thread, someday you'll be able to look back on your body of work and see how that golden thread has been woven into a stunning tapestry.
