- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's almost Famous podcast. We are here today for the
- 0:08Speaker 2: start of the off season. There's no shows airing right now.
- 0:11Speaker 2: We are here to have one of the times that
- 0:14Speaker 2: Ashley and I like love the most. We love breaking
- 0:17Speaker 2: down each season. We love talking about if we like
- 0:19Speaker 2: the season or not, and the relationships and the contestants
- 0:22Speaker 2: and the people and all the intricacies that go into
- 0:25Speaker 2: this show. But we really love the off season because
- 0:27Speaker 2: we get to break down headlines. We get to do
- 0:29Speaker 2: some deep dives with some of your favorite past contestants.
- 0:32Speaker 2: We get to catch up on each other's lives a lot,
- 0:34Speaker 2: which is a lot of fun. And always have you know,
- 0:38Speaker 2: the ability to answer questions that you may be send
- 0:41Speaker 2: it in to us. But today is headlines. We got
- 0:44Speaker 2: some juicy ones for you today. Ashley is here, ready
- 0:47Speaker 2: and prepared. Goodness gracious, let's kick it off with this one.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Tyler Cameron says, Bachelor Grant ellis yes, the bachelor currently
- 0:59Speaker 2: no longer a bachel though in a relationship. Unfollowed him
- 1:02Speaker 2: over Litilla Gar's support. Tyler Cameron's quote is, come on, now,
- 1:10Speaker 2: this is covering to us Weekly.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Okay, so I love this because Tyler just.
- 1:16Speaker 4: Like wasn't afraid to say what he was thinking, and
- 1:20Speaker 4: Grant couldn't. He couldn't take it. So after seeing the finale,
- 1:25Speaker 4: Grant got a Tyler got on Instagram and he said, Latilla,
- 1:28Speaker 4: I'm going to apologize because I.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Was unfamiliar with your game because.
- 1:32Speaker 4: You have a massive, massive real estate right here in
- 1:37Speaker 4: Grant's head and this is probably true. And then he
- 1:42Speaker 4: said so he you know, he kind of put Grant
- 1:46Speaker 4: a little bit on blast, as I and lots of
- 1:49Speaker 4: other viewers out there did, because you know, he said
- 1:54Speaker 4: too many things, too many things.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Now watch yourself, Ashley, what do you mean some of
- 2:02Speaker 2: us make those mistakes in life.
- 2:04Speaker 4: No, no, it wasn't just the I love you. It
- 2:07Speaker 4: wasn't the I love you. It's over yes, over and
- 2:11Speaker 4: over again. Stop the show face, having your mom whatever.
- 2:14Speaker 4: He's in the fantasy suage, which I think is even
- 2:16Speaker 4: beyond all this.
- 2:17Speaker 3: I can't wait. You know, I'm excited to propose to
- 2:19Speaker 3: you tomorrow. Like what this is so beyond the I
- 2:22Speaker 3: love you.
- 2:22Speaker 4: I can respect that you love two people, that you
- 2:24Speaker 4: even say I love you to two people. This I
- 2:27Speaker 4: can't respect at all anyway, So I'm sure that Grant
- 2:30Speaker 4: won't be having any double dates with me in Boston either.
- 2:33Speaker 4: My nanny was like, just like, do you think that, like,
- 2:35Speaker 4: because they're living in Boston, that you'll like see them
- 2:38Speaker 4: And I'm like, I don't know that he's going to
- 2:41Speaker 4: really want to hang out with me after how critical
- 2:43Speaker 4: I was at the finale anyway. Okay, so this is
- 2:47Speaker 4: what Tyler said, and then he goes, when I was
- 2:51Speaker 4: on Nick's podcast, I was like, Hey, You're gonna be
- 2:55Speaker 4: a great bachelor.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Blah blah blah.
- 2:58Speaker 4: And then he goes, ye slid Grant slid into Tyler's DM,
- 3:02Speaker 4: saying you're the man TC and then he said I
- 3:07Speaker 4: had this feeling that after I supported Latia on Instagram
- 3:10Speaker 4: that Grant unfollowed me, and then he went to his
- 3:14Speaker 4: follower list, and yes he did. He unfollowed Tyler after
- 3:19Speaker 4: he showed the support to Lithia.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Now, okay, I don't blame Grant though, really, come oh sensitive, Now,
- 3:28Speaker 2: I'm not saying what Tyler did was wrong either. You
- 3:29Speaker 2: signed up for a show again to be criticized, like
- 3:32Speaker 2: it happens to everybody all times. You go from the
- 3:35Speaker 2: highs to lows, and most seasons you get spit out
- 3:38Speaker 2: with people being happy and people being mad at you.
- 3:41Speaker 2: But I don't necessarily mind Grant unfollowing Tyler because it
- 3:45Speaker 2: wasn't serving anything of encouragement to him. And if that's not, like,
- 3:50Speaker 2: if that's not happening, then I don't blame him for
- 3:51Speaker 2: taking a step back. It's not that he should be
- 3:53Speaker 2: mad at Tyler. I hope that they see each other
- 3:55Speaker 2: they can laugh about it and be like, dude, you
- 3:57Speaker 2: like you are a jerk to me, and Tyler can
- 3:59Speaker 2: say yes, I was, and all this whatever dudes do
- 4:02Speaker 2: to figure stuff out. But I don't blame him for
- 4:06Speaker 2: the unfollow because Grant is very sensitive. I'm sure right
- 4:09Speaker 2: now like he's hearing every negative comment way louder than
- 4:13Speaker 2: anything positive.
- 4:16Speaker 4: I can see your side, but I also feel like
- 4:20Speaker 4: you need to learn to take that that's not even
- 4:22Speaker 4: that bad.
- 4:23Speaker 3: It wasn't that mean.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Over time, he will be fine. He's just a sensitive
- 4:28Speaker 2: boy right now, and that's okay. Actually, this one kind
- 4:31Speaker 2: of rocked me, if I if I remember right, this
- 4:35Speaker 2: is the second time, Yeah, something like this has happened
- 4:39Speaker 2: in their home. It was something I was so worried
- 4:41Speaker 2: about with my beautiful pup Oilan. I could not be
- 4:47Speaker 2: more at peace with where I'm at. So this even
- 4:50Speaker 2: headline doesn't hurt me to read. But if you had
- 4:52Speaker 2: asked me this three months ago, I would have never
- 4:55Speaker 2: read it because I would have been so terrified myself.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Bachelor star Sean Loa details being attacked twice by his
- 5:02Speaker 2: dog in North Texas home. Now, actually, before we start,
- 5:08Speaker 2: if I'm crazy, we read a headline like a year
- 5:11Speaker 2: ago where they had to send one of their dogs
- 5:13Speaker 2: to a different home because of it attacking their son.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, we didn't have like that attack detailed. I
- 5:20Speaker 4: don't even know if we would call an attack. It
- 5:23Speaker 4: just seemed to like be aggressive, like shows time's aggressiveness. Yeah,
- 5:28Speaker 4: so they got rid of that dog and then they
- 5:31Speaker 4: just had to get rid of another dog after a
- 5:34Speaker 4: true attack on Sean. If you want to know the
- 5:37Speaker 4: whole story from them, like I it is, it's a
- 5:40Speaker 4: crazy story. There's a seven minute Instagram reel that they
- 5:43Speaker 4: put up on it explaining how you know, of course
- 5:46Speaker 4: they had to get rid of the dog after this,
- 5:47Speaker 4: and they didn't want people to be like, so what
- 5:50Speaker 4: happened to the dog or see the marks on Sean's
- 5:54Speaker 4: arms and wonder what happened there without explanations, they just
- 5:58Speaker 4: seven minute video on it. It was quite petrifying. He
- 6:03Speaker 4: got attacked by the dog and sent to the emergency
- 6:06Speaker 4: room twice in the same twenty four hour span.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:11Speaker 4: So first he's grilling out with the guys and he
- 6:15Speaker 4: the kids aren't home, and the smoke detector goes off
- 6:18Speaker 4: in the house and I guess the smoke detector had
- 6:21Speaker 4: never gone off before, but this sound drove the dog
- 6:24Speaker 4: to run up to Sean and just tear like really
- 6:29Speaker 4: just like dig into his arms to the to the
- 6:32Speaker 4: point where he said it like it almost looked like
- 6:34Speaker 4: a murder scene out on the patio. He was very
- 6:37Speaker 4: thankful that he had friends there because they got him
- 6:39Speaker 4: to the emergency room and they got stitched up, and
- 6:42Speaker 4: of course like that they were already thinking like, oh,
- 6:44Speaker 4: we got to figure out what to do this dog.
- 6:47Speaker 4: So he gets back from the emergency room the next day,
- 6:50Speaker 4: the dog, the kids are going to go get picked
- 6:53Speaker 4: up by the grandparents and they're going to figure out
- 6:56Speaker 4: what to do. They just need like time to heal
- 6:59Speaker 4: and like time for their minds and Catherine and him,
- 7:02Speaker 4: and then as the grandparents pull up, there's this other
- 7:07Speaker 4: siren sound and the dog he sees like leaping out
- 7:12Speaker 4: of the house, going straight towards him again, ripping him apart,
- 7:17Speaker 4: goes to the er again. So of course Moose is
- 7:22Speaker 4: we don't know where he is, but he's no longer
- 7:24Speaker 4: in the low house, I do believe.
- 7:27Speaker 2: I mean, I think you mentioned this, but Sean was
- 7:29Speaker 2: working with a no kill shelter to kind of figure
- 7:32Speaker 2: out where to, yeah, take Moose. It's really sad story
- 7:36Speaker 2: for multiple reasons. I'm sure they were heartbroken that their
- 7:38Speaker 2: dog is, you know, doing this, and then.
- 7:41Speaker 5: Also kind of what he was talking about.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Shun's hurt. But yeah, it's the second time. I mean,
- 7:48Speaker 2: I hope they get like a poodle, like, I know, stuff,
- 7:51Speaker 2: like a tiny little poodle that can't cause damage, because goodness,
- 7:54Speaker 2: that's a rough go with one of God's greatest creations
- 7:58Speaker 2: a dog.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he was a boxer. He's a boxer Moose.
- 8:02Speaker 4: And he just said that it was like so hurtful
- 8:05Speaker 4: in addition to being physically hurtful, of course, that it
- 8:08Speaker 4: was like this is.
- 8:08Speaker 3: My dog, My dog is like.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Tearing me up.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's just that was like such an emotional
- 8:15Speaker 4: element to it, and they only had him for three months.
- 8:18Speaker 5: I thought he had him for longer. But yeah, I.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Don't like it. I mean I don't like it because
- 8:23Speaker 2: it makes me sad for all of them. Uh. Christina
- 8:26Speaker 2: Mandreu celebrates being five months sober, and her quote is
- 8:31Speaker 2: I'm really proud of how far I've come.
- 8:35Speaker 5: Mm hmm.
- 8:36Speaker 3: So she posted this so awesome.
- 8:39Speaker 4: So she's out to dinner with Braiden, you know, another
- 8:43Speaker 4: bachelor couple that we need to get on since their
- 8:45Speaker 4: wedding because they got married recently. She said, five months sober,
- 8:49Speaker 4: and for the first time since starting this Jersey, I
- 8:52Speaker 4: went out, like actually went out to a restaurant with
- 8:54Speaker 4: menus mood lighting and yes, drink specials.
- 8:57Speaker 5: I get it.
- 8:57Speaker 4: There's like a difference between like going out to eat
- 8:59Speaker 4: to like a family restaurant, and like going on a
- 9:01Speaker 4: date night with that ambiance that's going to put you
- 9:04Speaker 4: in the mood for maybe more of a drink. And
- 9:06Speaker 4: she goes, I hadn't been now at all, not because
- 9:08Speaker 4: I didn't want to, but because I didn't trust myself
- 9:10Speaker 4: to be around it yet. But on this night, I
- 9:12Speaker 4: felt ready, and Braiden and I got dressed up and
- 9:14Speaker 4: we went somewhere that felt a little fancier than usual,
- 9:18Speaker 4: seafood tower and all. And I told myself I could
- 9:20Speaker 4: handle it.
- 9:22Speaker 3: She said their.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Booth was facing a wine cellar. It was a huge
- 9:27Speaker 4: wine cellar. And she goes and right next us with
- 9:29Speaker 4: a triple date and they were ordering rounds and rounds
- 9:32Speaker 4: to the table, laughing and cheersing. And I'd be lying
- 9:34Speaker 4: if it didn't stir something up inside me. But I
- 9:36Speaker 4: made it through, and I made it through more than
- 9:38Speaker 4: just that. I enjoyed myself. And she was talking about
- 9:41Speaker 4: how supportive Brandon has been and he he said something
- 9:44Speaker 4: really cute or it was like the way that he
- 9:46Speaker 4: looked at her. Yeah, he was taking pictures of her,
- 9:50Speaker 4: and one picture he goes like, Babe, this is your
- 9:53Speaker 4: real smile. Like this isn't like your smile for a
- 9:55Speaker 4: picture smile. This is like your real smile.
- 9:56Speaker 5: That came out. And she said that was like a
- 9:58Speaker 5: really special moment.
- 10:00Speaker 2: It's a beautiful moment for both of them, and incredible
- 10:04Speaker 2: accomplishment for her. I again, have never known anybody who
- 10:08Speaker 2: has gone sober who has regretted it. That's something that
- 10:12Speaker 2: said Grant Ellis. We're going back to Grant for a second.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I'm gonna share a couple big headlines about Katie Thurston
- 10:20Speaker 2: towards the end of our headlines, but we're going to
- 10:23Speaker 2: go back to Grant. Grant Ellis clears the air on
- 10:26Speaker 2: his sister Taylor's feelings about fiance Juliana. This is according
- 10:31Speaker 2: the Bachelor Nation. I believe Ashley. This is coming off
- 10:34Speaker 2: of some of the clips that were done when Juliana
- 10:39Speaker 2: and Grant were announced as a couple on live stage
- 10:41Speaker 2: and Grant's sister looked nothing but disappointed. And he's clearing
- 10:46Speaker 2: the air on this now.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Yeah. He was doing an interview with US Weekly and
- 10:51Speaker 4: he said, rest assured everyone all is fine between Juliana
- 10:56Speaker 4: and my sister. They have a great relationship. And sometimes
- 10:59Speaker 4: I tell my sister, dude, fix your face. And then
- 11:02Speaker 4: he shared that that's just how his sister looks sometimes
- 11:05Speaker 4: and people are gonna believe what they want to believe,
- 11:06Speaker 4: but that's just.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Her she is.
- 11:09Speaker 4: She has this mentally thing, this mental thing where she's
- 11:13Speaker 4: like gotta be a boss. I don't know what that is,
- 11:15Speaker 4: but that's why my sister she loves Juliana very much.
- 11:17Speaker 4: The Internet create can create whatever narrative they want and
- 11:20Speaker 4: run with it.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Love it. Amanda Stanton is honest about the differences in
- 11:35Speaker 2: an article with Bachelor Nation about the differences between having
- 11:39Speaker 2: a baby at twenty one and thirty three, I was.
- 11:44Speaker 4: Very interested to read this when she posted it on
- 11:46Speaker 4: her story.
- 11:47Speaker 3: She said that a lot of people ask her if
- 11:49Speaker 3: it was.
- 11:49Speaker 4: Hard being pregnant in her early twenties, because obviously, like
- 11:53Speaker 4: friends are a different stage of life. Her sister was
- 11:55Speaker 4: in college at the time. She goes, But I've always
- 11:57Speaker 4: been kind of a homebody, so I never felt lest
- 12:00Speaker 4: out when people were doing something different.
- 12:03Speaker 5: She said.
- 12:03Speaker 4: The one thing that did bother her was that her
- 12:05Speaker 4: friends didn't understand, like if she couldn't make it to something,
- 12:08Speaker 4: they would think like, oh, she's being flaky, but actually
- 12:11Speaker 4: it's like, no, I have a kid, like I actually
- 12:12Speaker 4: have to take.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Care of it.
- 12:13Speaker 3: And she goes at thirty three.
- 12:14Speaker 4: It was nice because all my friends are pretty much
- 12:16Speaker 4: in the same boat as me. She talks about different
- 12:21Speaker 4: like bodily things too that happened, like she felt like
- 12:25Speaker 4: she lost the weight faster when she was younger, but
- 12:28Speaker 4: now she's in the best shape ever. She was able
- 12:30Speaker 4: to get herself there. And she said that she did
- 12:35Speaker 4: have more energy in her twenties, even if she was
- 12:38Speaker 4: like still tired, like she had bad nights sleep, you know,
- 12:42Speaker 4: she was able to like kind of power through and
- 12:44Speaker 4: she goes, Now, if I don't get sleep, I cannot
- 12:46Speaker 4: function the next day.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really fun to watch Amanda Stanton. It's just life.
- 12:53Speaker 2: It's such a qul. I know that she's pulled off
- 12:55Speaker 2: to beautiful daughters at twenty one and then obviously another
- 13:01Speaker 2: beautiful child at thirty three, and her marriage and just
- 13:04Speaker 2: it's fun to follow along, especially from someone who had
- 13:08Speaker 2: no part in this chapter in her life but got
- 13:10Speaker 2: to see her and get to know her well.
- 13:14Speaker 3: I agree.
- 13:15Speaker 4: She's like one of those insubscriptories that I must click
- 13:18Speaker 4: on when I say she's uploaded a new one.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Crushing it. Good job, Amanda. Okay two, we're going to
- 13:25Speaker 2: use this next minute and a half here to talk
- 13:28Speaker 2: about the Bachelor in Paradise. Obviously, they announced that the
- 13:34Speaker 2: Goldens are going to be in Paradise to some capacity
- 13:37Speaker 2: with the cast members from the Bachelor and Bachelorette in
- 13:41Speaker 2: Paradise there's a thousand things that could happen on the
- 13:45Speaker 2: beaches in Paradise with this dynamic existing. Hopefully all of
- 13:49Speaker 2: it's good, kosher and easy for me to watch, all
- 13:55Speaker 2: of us to watch. I think it's going to be beautiful.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Hey, Ben, we never got your opinion on this since
- 14:00Speaker 4: you were out that day.
- 14:01Speaker 2: My opinion is I love it.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Oh really, you're the only one.
- 14:04Speaker 1: No.
- 14:04Speaker 2: I think it's great.
- 14:05Speaker 4: I'm relatively neutral, but like most people I talk to,
- 14:08Speaker 4: you can't stand it well.
- 14:10Speaker 2: I think their thought goes to they're going to try
- 14:12Speaker 2: to set these people up for dating, and I just
- 14:13Speaker 2: don't think that's going to be the case. I don't see.
- 14:16Speaker 2: I think the Goldens that I know are one way
- 14:20Speaker 2: too wise, way too like, fatherly and motherly and caring.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Two ever for a chance consider that, and I think
- 14:28Speaker 2: it's going to be a great dynamic of wisdom and honesty,
- 14:33Speaker 2: with the Goldens also having so much fun. We've seen
- 14:35Speaker 2: them have so much fun. I like it. I think
- 14:38Speaker 2: it's gonna be fun, and I'm glad we get to
- 14:39Speaker 2: see the Goldens in a different environment. I like that show.
- 14:43Speaker 2: I'm fan. I'm a fan of that show. I want
- 14:46Speaker 2: to see more of them, and if it has to
- 14:48Speaker 2: be on Paradise with the other contestants, I'll gladly take it. Yeah,
- 14:52Speaker 2: I think it could be a huge win if the
- 14:55Speaker 2: show does it well. If we see see Susan and
- 14:59Speaker 2: Kathy making out with a twenty two year old, that
- 15:01Speaker 2: that's when I stop watching this show forever.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Okay, Yeah, I don't think it'll happen. When you put
- 15:07Speaker 4: in perspective for these people, it is like making out
- 15:10Speaker 4: with your child's friend.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's not gonna happen. It's just not a thing.
- 15:15Speaker 2: It's there. The Goldens are way too wise to let
- 15:19Speaker 2: that happen. But if it ever even gets hinted at,
- 15:23Speaker 2: I think it's stupid. Keep it separate. But here's the stories.
- 15:27Speaker 2: The Golden Bachelor, Gary Turner turned down offer to join
- 15:31Speaker 2: Bachelor in Paradise a little bit shocking to me because
- 15:36Speaker 2: I do think he would have done well there. It's
- 15:39Speaker 2: interesting that he did, and he explains why. Ashley tell us.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Yes, he passed it down because he said, simply, I've
- 15:47Speaker 4: already dated these women. There's only one season of women
- 15:50Speaker 4: to go through, and I was in charge of dating them.
- 15:53Speaker 4: So unless they were to add in extras basically for
- 15:57Speaker 4: him personally, he is not interested.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Sure makes sense, it doesn't make sense. Give him a
- 16:03Speaker 2: few years here.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Oh.
- 16:04Speaker 4: He also said that he'd be open to a cameo
- 16:07Speaker 4: or filling in for Wells as bartender. I don't think
- 16:11Speaker 4: he's going to get that gig. But if there's two bars,
- 16:13Speaker 4: one for the Goldens and one for the regulars, that
- 16:16Speaker 4: would make sense.
- 16:18Speaker 2: See, this is where I should come back in and
- 16:20Speaker 2: make my like push. I don't want to take Wells's job.
- 16:23Speaker 2: There's nobody that can do this better than Wells. But
- 16:25Speaker 2: if there is two bars, two separate filming spots, I
- 16:29Speaker 2: personally feel like I should be the bartender for the
- 16:32Speaker 2: Goldens because I've wanted to be a part of that
- 16:35Speaker 2: show since the very beginning. I was willing to work
- 16:37Speaker 2: on the show. I was willing to clean for the show.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I was willing to do anything possible to be around
- 16:42Speaker 2: these people more. Maybe it's time for me to make
- 16:46Speaker 2: a second push.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Anyway, Hey, just tell them again.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Okay, I want to be a part of this show.
- 16:52Speaker 4: For anybody listening, we don't know any producers there or anymore,
- 16:56Speaker 4: so it'll help us out if you.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Have connections yeah, so if you're listening, whoever you are.
- 17:01Speaker 2: We've never met, but I would love to be a
- 17:03Speaker 2: part of this. I was the Bachelor about nine years ago.
- 17:08Speaker 2: You know, some would say it was a decent time
- 17:11Speaker 2: in the franchise. Susan Knowles and Kathy Swartz two of
- 17:15Speaker 2: my absolute favorite people not only from the show but
- 17:17Speaker 2: in the world that I love being around, that are
- 17:19Speaker 2: sweet and carrying and generous and fun and always down
- 17:23Speaker 2: to create story and do some wild things to do it.
- 17:29Speaker 2: They're hilarious together. They discuss Golden's joining Bachelor in Paradise
- 17:33Speaker 2: and if they want to hit the beach this summer. Okay,
- 17:37Speaker 2: I haven't read this yet. I haven't seen anything about this,
- 17:40Speaker 2: but just from the headline, there is zeroed out in
- 17:42Speaker 2: my mind that Susan and Cathy do not want to
- 17:44Speaker 2: be on the beach this summer.
- 17:46Speaker 5: Susan and Cathy will be there.
- 17:48Speaker 4: It's almost a certain guarantee. As they are the hosts
- 17:51Speaker 4: of a Warner Brothers podcast. They want their hosts to
- 17:56Speaker 4: be on the show and then more people will listen
- 17:58Speaker 4: to their podcast. So they're joking about what kind of
- 18:02Speaker 4: bathing suits. I guess there's actually a serious conversation. It's
- 18:05Speaker 4: not joking about what kind of bathing suits they'll be
- 18:07Speaker 4: wearing if they do hit the beach. Kathy says she
- 18:11Speaker 4: will one hundred percent be oh yeah, okay, yes, Kathy,
- 18:17Speaker 4: one hundred percent will not be in a bikini. She
- 18:20Speaker 4: says she's going to have on her bathing suits in
- 18:22Speaker 4: the nineteen forties with long sleeves and a long skirt,
- 18:26Speaker 4: and Susan says that she doesn't even own a one piece.
- 18:29Speaker 4: She'll be in bikini all the way. But she said
- 18:34Speaker 4: watch out for her pudge. She is sixty eight and
- 18:37Speaker 4: it is there.
- 18:38Speaker 2: I just want them there. They will be there. This
- 18:42Speaker 2: is why I cannot wait to watch the show. The
- 18:44Speaker 2: two of them specifically.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Narrating the situations hilarious because they're going to be drunk
- 18:50Speaker 4: off their ass just talking commentating.
- 18:53Speaker 2: They're they're the best two people to hang out with. Okay,
- 18:58Speaker 2: final headline of now let's share this one real quick.
- 19:01Speaker 5: Yeah, there's two.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I love Zach Clark. He's doing great work for those
- 19:08Speaker 2: in recovery and that are still processing recovery. Zach Clark
- 19:13Speaker 2: and Grant Ellis's dad, Rob, who we saw specifically on
- 19:19Speaker 2: the final segments of the show joined together to support
- 19:23Speaker 2: addiction recovery. The quote is I'm eternally grateful.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Yes. So Zach went on Instagram to share how he
- 19:32Speaker 4: and Grant's father, Rob are currently working together to support
- 19:36Speaker 4: each other in recovery journeys. So Rob actually reveals that
- 19:41Speaker 4: when Grant initially mentioned him on the show and he
- 19:44Speaker 4: heard him saying, my dad was an attict for thirty
- 19:46Speaker 4: years and he lied to me, but he was my superhero.
- 19:49Speaker 4: He didn't even know he was going to say that.
- 19:51Speaker 4: The first time he heard about it was one it
- 19:54Speaker 4: aired on TV. And then Zach asked Rob if he
- 19:57Speaker 4: got sober because of Grant was going to because Grant
- 20:01Speaker 4: was going to be on TV, and he replied that
- 20:04Speaker 4: he was already in the process of recovering. He said, no, no,
- 20:08Speaker 4: I was in rehab. I was getting ready to leave
- 20:11Speaker 4: the place. I was getting ready to go into the
- 20:14Speaker 4: Salvation Army.
- 20:15Speaker 2: And then.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Then Zach called him and said, I have a foundation
- 20:21Speaker 4: and we're going to look out for you. And then
- 20:24Speaker 4: Zach said that He's like, you know, everything is about
- 20:30Speaker 4: forgiveness and love and compassion and in recovery. And now
- 20:35Speaker 4: it's great because together and this whole storyline is helping
- 20:39Speaker 4: people and paying it forward.
- 20:42Speaker 2: It's beautiful the work that's being done and the two
- 20:45Speaker 2: of them coming together to advocate, speak about and share
- 20:49Speaker 2: the support that they have for each other during this time.
- 20:53Speaker 2: It could not take a second here. It could not
- 20:55Speaker 2: have been easy on Grant's dad to have this kind
- 20:59Speaker 2: of process happened because he's in recovery. He is walking
- 21:04Speaker 2: through recovery. Then it's brought to the world. So to
- 21:08Speaker 2: see the support that then Zach and his foundation gave
- 21:10Speaker 2: him sure meant a lot and helped him get through
- 21:14Speaker 2: this time. And now it's going to do a lot
- 21:16Speaker 2: of good for a lot of people.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Yeah, and again his recovery name the name of his foundation,
- 21:23Speaker 4: Release Recovery. So if you know anybody who needs it,
- 21:26Speaker 4: check that out. Zach Clark's Release Recovery.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Good clients of Generous Coffee as well. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, helpful.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Final headline of today. So last week and for the
- 21:47Speaker 2: last few weeks, we've been talking a lot about Katie Thurston.
- 21:50Speaker 2: We had her on the podcast. We got to ask
- 21:53Speaker 2: her the questions that so many people have been wondering
- 21:56Speaker 2: and asking as she's been very vulnerable and very open
- 22:02Speaker 2: about her process of finding out she had breast cancer
- 22:06Speaker 2: and then walking into what she believed was during our
- 22:10Speaker 2: interview the next week when she would start treatment. Then
- 22:14Speaker 2: last week we gave an update that her treatment had
- 22:17Speaker 2: been stalled. They'd put it on pause because they were
- 22:20Speaker 2: worried about the cancer spreading.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Yeah, she had a pet scan and there was something
- 22:27Speaker 4: on her liver. They buyopdated it and it came back
- 22:31Speaker 4: on Friday that it is indeed stage four cancer. That
- 22:36Speaker 4: her breast cancer has spread to her liver, and this
- 22:40Speaker 4: is obviously awful news. Katie still says that she is
- 22:44Speaker 4: zero percent scared, which is amazing.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Now she also shares that she's going to start treatment
- 22:50Speaker 2: next week when she was on the podcast, and I
- 22:53Speaker 2: encourage all of you to go back and listen to
- 22:55Speaker 2: it because she shares a lot of great insight into
- 22:57Speaker 2: her experience, how you can check yourself personally, and then
- 23:02Speaker 2: also about her treatment plan at the time. It wasn't
- 23:07Speaker 2: your routine, traditional treatment plan that she was walking into.
- 23:11Speaker 2: And so I think the question so many of us
- 23:13Speaker 2: have now Ashley is if her treatment plan is going
- 23:16Speaker 2: to pick back up again, what does her treatment look
- 23:19Speaker 2: like and is it different than what she shared with us.
- 23:23Speaker 4: Well, I know that she told us, or she told
- 23:26Speaker 4: Instagram a couple days ago that if it did indeed fantastasize,
- 23:30Speaker 4: that she wasn't able to be a part of the
- 23:33Speaker 4: experimental treatment that she was going to go through. It's
- 23:36Speaker 4: not experimental treatment like it was the same chemo but
- 23:41Speaker 4: given in different types of rounds. Now, the plan is
- 23:45Speaker 4: essentially she said the same as before, though cancer is
- 23:49Speaker 4: with it, like the cancer that's within the liver is
- 23:51Speaker 4: spreading from the breast cancer. It's not a new type
- 23:55Speaker 4: of cancer. So my breast cancer is still the root
- 23:58Speaker 4: and will be the focus, and it will will be
- 24:00Speaker 4: six rounds of chemotherapy to start.
- 24:03Speaker 3: I believe that.
- 24:04Speaker 5: She starts now this coming Friday.
- 24:07Speaker 4: If you guys want to follow a long day by day,
- 24:10Speaker 4: Katie does have the Booby broadcast, in which she basically
- 24:15Speaker 4: texts you. It feels like it's a text every day
- 24:18Speaker 4: or multiple times a day, and she gives updates.
- 24:22Speaker 5: I'm looking at it right now here it is, so.
- 24:25Speaker 4: She says, yes, getting ready for chemo on Friday. I
- 24:28Speaker 4: have my cold cap kit, my frozen gloves and socks.
- 24:31Speaker 4: That's trying the cold cap Is that she's going to
- 24:34Speaker 4: try to keep her hair through this, and this is
- 24:35Speaker 4: a new mechanism which it can sometimes be effective for that.
- 24:39Speaker 2: It's not new, Ashley, you want to hear.
- 24:41Speaker 3: It's not too new.
- 24:42Speaker 2: My dad when he had cancer at thirty or a
- 24:46Speaker 2: cold cap and kept his hair through the whole thing.
- 24:48Speaker 4: So why do not more people do it? Because people
- 24:52Speaker 4: also said that Kate Middleton may have done this.
- 24:54Speaker 2: I don't know why they don't like more people don't
- 24:56Speaker 2: do it, but he his I mean, I'm sure it's
- 24:58Speaker 2: advanced since then, but he used to literally have a
- 25:01Speaker 2: cap with ice. It was like an ice cat that
- 25:03Speaker 2: you put on his head and it would help keep
- 25:05Speaker 2: the hair. Oh interesting, and that was thirty seven years ago.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Yeah, your dad still has hair, Yeah, never lost it?
- 25:14Speaker 5: Yeah, I know.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Wow.
- 25:16Speaker 4: She said that she's glad that she has her port,
- 25:20Speaker 4: that she has a built in port, and that she's
- 25:23Speaker 4: just needing suggestions right now as to how the past
- 25:26Speaker 4: the time while getting the chemo. She says, people are
- 25:29Speaker 4: telling me to bring snacks, wear something warm. If you
- 25:32Speaker 4: have any advice out there, let me know. She also
- 25:36Speaker 4: got her period this week, and she said that she's
- 25:38Speaker 4: never been happier to get a period, She says, the
- 25:40Speaker 4: first time she's gotten one in since late January, and
- 25:44Speaker 4: it's made her feel normal.
- 25:47Speaker 2: I would recommend to Katie, who's a listener of our
- 25:51Speaker 2: show already, to save the almost Famous podcast for those moments,
- 25:55Speaker 2: because nothing helps the time go faster than listening to
- 25:59Speaker 2: the almost Famous. It is some pure entertainment. Actually, the
- 26:05Speaker 2: final question will answer about Katie because it's the one
- 26:09Speaker 2: written into us. Do we have any idea? Do you
- 26:13Speaker 2: have any idea from what you have read or if
- 26:16Speaker 2: you've spoken to Katie, or however you get all of
- 26:19Speaker 2: your amazing insights on her husband's plans, because when she
- 26:24Speaker 2: talked to us, he was going back on tour. I
- 26:27Speaker 2: know that this treatment has changed, and so is her
- 26:31Speaker 2: husband going back on tour? Is he staying home? Kind
- 26:34Speaker 2: of what's happening there?
- 26:35Speaker 4: So she posts it as part of a Q and
- 26:37Speaker 4: A the other day on Instagram that her treatment is
- 26:40Speaker 4: spread out as six treatments and they three weeks apart,
- 26:44Speaker 4: and each treatment is essentially a dedicated day to travel,
- 26:49Speaker 4: infusions and recovery, and he'll.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Probably miss the first three.
- 26:53Speaker 4: But she said the good news is if she wants to,
- 26:56Speaker 4: she can still travel to wherever he is as early
- 26:59Speaker 4: as the next day after receiving the chemo, which perhaps
- 27:03Speaker 4: sounds ambitious, but also she's a rock star and she
- 27:08Speaker 4: should do whatever makes her feel the best.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Right. Okay, that's all the headlines we have for you today.
- 27:13Speaker 2: There was a lot of headlines, some juicy ones, some
- 27:15Speaker 2: big ones. Let's see if Kathy and Susan will make
- 27:19Speaker 2: it to paradise. Let's see who will be in paradise. Also,
- 27:23Speaker 2: as always, please go and follow Katie Thurston right now
- 27:26Speaker 2: as she continues to share updates, educate, advocate, but also
- 27:31Speaker 2: in the midst of when somebody is doing so much
- 27:34Speaker 2: to educate and advocate you for you also don't forget
- 27:38Speaker 2: to support her in the best ways possible. So until
- 27:42Speaker 2: next time, I've been Ben.
