- 0:00Matthew chapter 1. Let's pray.
- 0:07Oh Lord, God, you still do miracles.
- 0:10Oh Lord God, you are amazing. Our God and our Father and our
- 0:14Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, we lay at your feet today.
- 0:18Lord, we lay prostate before you as dead men and women, Lord, and
- 0:24we're just asking for a touch. Let us grab a hold of the hem of
- 0:27your garment and be healed today.
- 0:29Healed of all of our sickness, healed of all of our negative
- 0:35thinking, God, healed of the fear, Lord, Healed of anxiety
- 0:42and depression. Lord, I pray in the name of
- 0:45Jesus, you'll heal us from fits of rage and anger.
- 0:50God, I pray in the name of Jesus you'll heal us, God from our
- 0:54past trauma. Lord, I pray in the name of
- 0:58Jesus you'll heal us. God, of seeing ourselves in the
- 1:04wrong light. God, I pray in the name of Jesus
- 1:07that you'll give us dignity. I pray in the name of Jesus that
- 1:11you will instill our purpose. Father, for this day and for
- 1:17this time, for such a time as this, Father, we have come into
- 1:21the world. God to serve you, for you are
- 1:25Christ. You are the Son of God, Jesus
- 1:28Christ. High and lifted up above our
- 1:31homes, high and lifted up above our emotions, high and lifted up
- 1:35above our circumstances. High and lifted up above our
- 1:40finances. High and lifted up above our
- 1:43health. High and lifted up above broken
- 1:47relationships and wayward children, God and marriages that
- 1:53are falling apart. Father, you are high and lifted
- 1:56up over everything that tries to exalt itself, over the knowledge
- 2:02of you, Jesus Christ. You are high and lifted up.
- 2:05For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, Lord, but we
- 2:09wrestle against the principalities, Lord, we wrestle
- 2:13against the darkness, Father, and Lord, we know that you have
- 2:17overcome, and greater is he who lives in us than he who is in
- 2:22the world. So, God, we put our heel on the
- 2:25head of the snake, we crush the head of the opposition, Father,
- 2:29we advance, we charge the hill, Father, in the name of Jesus,
- 2:33Lord, we take back the enemy strongholds.
- 2:37Lord, we take back all of the areas that Satan thought was his
- 2:42God. We demolish them by that name,
- 2:44the name that is above all names, Jesus Christ.
- 2:49Lord. Jesus is Lord.
- 2:54We look to him today and we are saved.
- 2:58We look to him today and we are healed and it is by his stripes
- 3:02that we are healed. So in the name of Jesus, God
- 3:06Almighty Holy Spirit, Phyllis, Phyllis today, Phyllis up
- 3:14welling up overflowing like you did at the wedding.
- 3:20God, Phyllis to the brim, Phyllis overflowing.
- 3:25Turn the mundane into the miraculous.
- 3:30Father, I pray that everywhere that we step today is holy
- 3:33ground. Father, I pray in the name of
- 3:36Jesus for our coworkers. I pray in the name of Jesus for
- 3:41the ones at the store, God, that we're going to encounter today.
- 3:45I pray in the name of Jesus for our friends and family.
- 3:49I pray in the name of Jesus for our neighbors.
- 3:52God, I pray that they see us. In light of eternity, they see
- 3:58us as reflecting your goodness and grace and mercy and love,
- 4:04Lord, to the world. And Lord, we do love you with
- 4:08all of our heart. God Almighty, we do love you
- 4:13with all of our strength and all of our might.
- 4:16Lord, we surrender all. Lord, we surrender all the ways
- 4:24that we thought this life was going to go, all of our own
- 4:27passions and desires. Lord, we surrender them to your
- 4:32will. We surrender them to your
- 4:34Kingdom to come here on this earth just as it is there.
- 4:39Father, we thank you for another day to come and worship you in
- 4:42spirit and truth. And we know that your mercies
- 4:45are new every day. God.
- 4:47So we say thank you. Father, thank you so much for a
- 4:50life worth living. Thank you so much for giving us
- 4:54the abundant life. Thank you so much for grafting
- 4:57us in. Thank you so much for pruning us
- 5:01God, even whenever we resisted and we ran from what was
- 5:05hurtful. Father, you are producing much
- 5:07fruit, Father, and I pray for a harvest, God.
- 5:10We look up and we see that it is plenty, Father.
- 5:13And we are here God, and we are sold out to you.
- 5:16We have our hand to the plow, Father, to you.
- 5:19And we say yes and Amen to all of your ways.
- 5:22We say yes and Amen to your will.
- 5:24Father, come in and do what only you can do.
- 5:27Thank you, Lord Jesus, teach us today, Holy Spirit, discipline
- 5:31us today. Holy Spirit, show us the cancer
- 5:35and the things in our lives that are holding us back for what you
- 5:39have for us, God. And it's not about us.
- 5:42We decrease as you increase. It's all about you, King Jesus,
- 5:47we love you. Yes, we love you.
- 5:52We love you with all of our heart and all of our mind.
- 5:55We love you, King Jesus, thank you for your sacrifice.
- 5:59Thank you for what you did for us.
- 6:01Thank you for life here, eternal there.
- 6:06Thank you for the abundance that you've already provided for us
- 6:09today. Thank you for clean drinking
- 6:12water. Thank you for sustenance.
- 6:14Thank you for love amongst brethren, amongst our fellow
- 6:20believers here. Thank you for these outposts of
- 6:23true worship unto you where we can accurately and actually see
- 6:31you being worshipped in this land here now.
- 6:34Thank you God, for the outpouring of the Spirit.
- 6:37Thank you God, for the baptism of fire.
- 6:40Father, I pray fresh wind and fresh fire upon this camp and
- 6:44upon this house. God bring revival, Lord, to the
- 6:48globe, every continent, every people group, every language.
- 6:53God bring revival. Father, I pray in the name of
- 6:57Jesus, open our eyes up to your wonderful words today.
- 7:00And it's in Jesus Christ, holy and precious name that I pray.
- 7:05Amen. Let's start in verse one, the
- 7:14book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the
- 7:19son of Abraham. That's a loaded verse right
- 7:23there, friends. We could spend countless hours
- 7:29just meditating upon this opening of the New Testament.
- 7:36We could spend countless hours really diving in and pulling out
- 7:40so much truth, friends, of what was just stated.
- 7:45Just know in the most complete way that what Matthew is
- 7:53endeavoring to do is pull our minds back all the way to when
- 8:01the Jews started, all the way when Father Abraham was called,
- 8:06all the way back there where God promised that he would make his
- 8:10descendants more numerous than the stars.
- 8:14And here we're getting this little introduction, and we're
- 8:17showing that Jesus came from the Davidic line.
- 8:21So there were promises not only to Abraham, but God made
- 8:25promises to David that there would never fail to be one who
- 8:30sat on the throne from his Davidic line.
- 8:33And God is making good on both of those promises here.
- 8:37One to Abraham, 2 to David. And Matthew, as a tax collector,
- 8:43he had access to all of the tax records.
- 8:47And he, I'm sure, in the beginning was a skeptic, and I'm
- 8:52sure that he went and searched all of his accessible tax
- 8:57records that were pointing them all the way back to Abraham.
- 9:03And I'm sure coming out of exile from Babylon that the Jews were
- 9:09very meticulous in their record keeping.
- 9:12And you can see that even today how God has made the Jews a very
- 9:16meticulous people group, which is why all the financial
- 9:22institutions are entrusted to them, not only because the
- 9:25blessing of God, but because they have an innate ability.
- 9:29And so it was not unlike a Jew who had crossed over and became
- 9:36part of the Roman employment to have this access to all these
- 9:43financial records to go back and search.
- 9:46And is he's not just pulling this out of his hat, friends.
- 9:49This was a man who was very meticulous and he would have
- 9:53searched all of the tax records to figure this little genealogy
- 9:58out. So when it as we go through this
- 10:01genealogy, don't just gloss over it.
- 10:04We can learn much from all the scripture that we Passover that
- 10:09we don't understand if we will dial in, if we will actually
- 10:13search the scriptures. What you're going to find out is
- 10:17so many jewels, so much richness in this genealogy that we would
- 10:24pass over and not really take the time to peel back the layers
- 10:30and understand all these names. Let's try as we go through it
- 10:35pretty quickly, let's try to pull out some very valid points
- 10:41here that will help us as we study this beautiful, wonderful
- 10:47book in our Bible here, friends. 2 Abraham had Isaac, Isaac had
- 10:57Jacob, and Jacob had Judah and his brothers.
- 11:03So verse 2, we can spend hours upon hours just talking about
- 11:07verse 2, but suffice to say that Abraham had Isaac, which means
- 11:15laughter and it wasn't a miraculous birth here.
- 11:20And he also had from his his wife Sarah's servant Hagar.
- 11:30He had Ishmael which was a illegitimate child, which is
- 11:35where all of the Muslim nation which traces their lineage back
- 11:39to Abraham. It is a warring nation and they
- 11:43are hostile with their brother Isaac, which means laughter.
- 11:47And God is in heaven and he laughs here friends and is
- 11:51because Sarah laughed because she was at such an old age that
- 11:55she did not think it was possible to have her own child,
- 11:58which is why she nudged her husband into having an affair
- 12:03with her servant Hagar. And God made it all good and he
- 12:07made good on his promise to bring Isaac laughter into the
- 12:12world, which is where the nation Israel was birthed from.
- 12:17You can see it in verse 2 where he says Jacob, his name after he
- 12:22wrestled with God was Israel, wrestled with God, and then
- 12:27Judah. And we know that Judah, we're
- 12:30going to learn it here in verse 3, but we know that Judah is the
- 12:34line that Jesus Christ came from the lion of Judah.
- 12:37And whenever Jacob was blessing all of his twelve children, he
- 12:42pronounced the messianic line to come from Judah.
- 12:46Praise God. And then we can also see in
- 12:51verse 3, Judah had Ferris and Zara of Tamar, and Ferris had
- 12:57Asram and Isram had Aram. So we can see here this Tamar,
- 13:01this was the daughter-in-law who was very clever and she
- 13:07disguised herself as a prostitute and Judah had
- 13:10relations with her. And what you're going to find in
- 13:12the genealogy of Jesus Christ is there's some pretty seedy
- 13:17characters in this lineage. And there are those who are not
- 13:21all Jews. And we learned a couple chapters
- 13:24back in Malachi that is not about a race thing, friends.
- 13:29It is about a faith thing, friends.
- 13:32And here we can see that Tamar had faith, and that is the
- 13:36lineage of Jesus Christ. Let's keep going.
- 13:39There's so much here. Friends and Four and Aram had
- 13:44Abbinadab and Abbinadab had Nasong, and Nasong had Salman.
- 13:50So here we're getting into a lot of different names and it would
- 13:54be easy to gloss over, but just know this is rich.
- 13:58Friends 5 Salman had Boaz of Rakam, and Boaz had Obed of Ruth
- 14:07and Obed had Jesse. This Rahab is the one who hid
- 14:12the spies. She was a prostitute.
- 14:15Friends, another seedy character and God, you can see how he
- 14:19exalts women. You can see how this lineage,
- 14:24this genealogy of Jesus Christ, our Messiah, the anointed One,
- 14:29the only perfect man who was all God and all man, the only one
- 14:36who was completely perfect ever to be born and live here in his
- 14:41lineage. He had a Moabite.
- 14:44He had two prostitutes. Imagine that.
- 14:48And here we see the stump of Jesse.
- 14:51We see the root of Jesse here, and we know that in verse 6.
- 14:55And Jesse had David the king, and David the king had Solomon
- 15:00of her. That had been the wife of Uriah.
- 15:04And we know that Uriah was a Hittite.
- 15:06He was not an Israelite. So here again, another outside
- 15:11of the Jewish race. Here we have another character
- 15:15in the lineage of Jesus Christ. And we know that Solomon was the
- 15:19man of peace, and here David a man after God's own heart.
- 15:24And we can see the grace of God already in this genealogy.
- 15:30We see God's grace in Rahab. We see God's grace in Ruth the
- 15:35Moabite. We see God's grace in this
- 15:41lineage here of Uriah the Hittite of whenever David was on
- 15:47the roof and he looked down and he saw a beautiful woman bathing
- 15:52and he went and had an affair with her and we can see the hit.
- 15:56She doesn't even get a name in the story.
- 15:59She is just called the wife of Uriah.
- 16:03Imagine that 7 and Solomon had Riboam, and Riboam had Abya, and
- 16:11Abya had ASA. 8 and ASA had Jehoshaphat.
- 16:15Jehoshaphat had Joram, Joram had Isaiah, and Isaiah had Jotham
- 16:21and Jotham had Achas and Achas had Hezekiahs, and Hezekiah had
- 16:26Manessa And Manessa had Amon and Amon had Josiah.
- 16:32So here we have a reform of Josiah where it was this
- 16:35beautiful reform. As you go and search 1st and 2nd
- 16:39kings, you can see that Josiah was a godly king.
- 16:43You can see Manessa was a wicked king.
- 16:45You can see that Hezekiah prayed to God and God gave him an
- 16:52additional amount of years. That is whenever he had Manessa,
- 16:57which the lineage of Jesus Christ actually came from.
- 17:00Had he died whenever God said that he would, then the lineage
- 17:06of Jesus Christ would not have been fulfilled in the way that
- 17:09you see it here. So we can see all these
- 17:13beautiful, gracious moments of God all the way through.
- 17:17He's orchestrating. Jesus is coming.
- 17:20And just so you know, friend, it is no different today.
- 17:25There is so much trouble in the world if you are looking for it
- 17:29and you go and you tune into all of these secular programs.
- 17:34There is so much going on in the world that you might scratch
- 17:38your head and say how in the world is all this going to shape
- 17:42up into the second coming of Jesus Christ?
- 17:45But just know that just like during this first come coming of
- 17:49Jesus Christ, the first Advent, God used all of these turbulent
- 17:56circumstances to bring about this beautiful picture.
- 18:00It's no different today, friends.
- 18:02He's using all the things all around us that are going on all
- 18:06around us that we think of as being very fearful and we're
- 18:10afraid and we can't see how God is in it.
- 18:13Just trust and believe. And it's no different for the
- 18:15Second Advent friends. 11 And Josiah had Jeconius and his
- 18:22brethren about the time that they were carried away to
- 18:25Babylon. And if you remember, if we go
- 18:27back to this time, I believe it was in Jeremiah where there was
- 18:32this seizing where God pronounced that there would not
- 18:38anymore be a king out of this line from the Jeconiah.
- 18:43And Satan thought that he had his heyday and he won.
- 18:46But as Matthew is going to show us, this is the legal genealogy
- 18:52that traces it back. That would all the the people
- 18:56who were studying the Scriptures during this time looking for a
- 18:59Messiah. Matthew is going to show them
- 19:03that Jesus Christ is a legitimate heir and a legitimate
- 19:08candidate for the Messiah role that they were all looking for.
- 19:14Praise God, Hallelujah. And here we see Babylon mention
- 19:19as they went into Babylon into exile.
- 19:22They formed this because they did not have the temple.
- 19:27They formed this circle where they would all gather on the
- 19:32Sabbath and read Scriptures and try to keep their lineage, try
- 19:37to keep their heritage alive, even though they did not have
- 19:40the temple. And that is where the Pharisees
- 19:43and the Sadducees and the Sanhedrin, that is where it was
- 19:47birth. It was birth during this time in
- 19:50Babylon. And as they came back into the
- 19:52land, even though they had the temple of the Lord again, they
- 19:55still carried on the traditions that they had started back in
- 19:59Babylon. Let's read verse 12 and after
- 20:02they were brought. To Babylon, Jackanias had
- 20:06Shertel and Shertel had Zerubbabel, and so we know that
- 20:10the Second Temple was built by Zerubbabel.
- 20:12We can see that he was a legitimate heir all the way
- 20:16going back to David and the Davidic line. 13 So Zerubbabel
- 20:21had Abiud, and Abiud had Elokim, and Elokim had Azor. 14 Azor had
- 20:28Zadok, and Zadok had Akim, and Akim had Elokim.
- 20:33So this Zadok is a very interesting character.
- 20:37So whenever David's son was trying out for the throne and he
- 20:44was trying to overthrow his father, Zadok stood by him,
- 20:50while the Levitical priest actually sided with David's son.
- 20:55And so as a blessing unto Zadok, God announced in the temple for
- 21:01the Millennium reign, for the thousand year reign of Jesus
- 21:04Christ on this earth, that the Zadokites will actually be the
- 21:09ministers there in the Millennium and the Leviticals,
- 21:14the Levitical line will be the those that have actually been
- 21:18degraded down to just being the servants.
- 21:22They are not in the priestly line.
- 21:24So you can see here another prophecy being talked about in
- 21:29this genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Zadokites. 15 And Eliud had
- 21:35Eleazar, and Eliazar had Matan, and Matan had Jacob, and Jacob
- 21:41had Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is
- 21:47called Christ. Wow, praise God, Hallelujah.
- 21:56Look at how good God is. Here comes this little bitty
- 22:02baby boy who is the King of kings and the Lord of Lords.
- 22:07And he was not born into a palace, he was born in a Manger.
- 22:13He was born to obscure situation.
- 22:18And here we can see how God made good on his promise to Abraham.
- 22:23He's making good on his promise to David.
- 22:26And here Matthew I am sure, as he searched.
- 22:32Who is this Jesus character? Who is this rogue St. preacher
- 22:39who proclaims to be the Son of God?
- 22:43Who is he? And as he goes and he searches
- 22:45and he traces it all the way back to David and then he traces
- 22:50it all the way back to Abraham. I'm sure it blew his mind.
- 22:56So when Jesus said come and follow me, he left everything.
- 23:01He left his high position. Praise God.
- 23:08And we're going to learn a lot about Mary.
- 23:10We're going to learn about her obedience. 17 So all the
- 23:16generations from Abraham to David are 14, and from David
- 23:21until the carrying off into Babylon are. 14 and all the
- 23:25carrying away from Babylon to Christ are 14 generations.
- 23:30So these were broken up, 14 from Abraham to David, 14 from David
- 23:38to Captivity, and 14 from captivity to Jesus Christ
- 23:43showing up on the scene. And there's so much history
- 23:46here, friends, and this is legitimate history that can be
- 23:50proven. This is not just fables on a
- 23:53page 18 And now the birth of Jesus Christ was this way when
- 24:02as his mother was espoused to Joseph before they came
- 24:06together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
- 24:10So here we can see the Immaculate Conception, we can
- 24:13see the Holy Ghost impregnated her.
- 24:16We can see that Jesus was all man and all God.
- 24:21He was able to identify with us because of Mary and he was able
- 24:27to have the divinity because of the Holy Spirit impregnating
- 24:32Mary. What a thought, what a thought
- 24:36when you think of this as reality and not just some fable.
- 24:4319 Then Joseph, her husband being a just man and he was not
- 24:46willing to make her a public example.
- 24:48He minded to put her away privately.
- 24:51So here you can see that Joseph was trying to be as reasonable
- 24:57as possible for someone who found their fiance to be
- 25:03pregnant and they had never had relations.
- 25:06They had never been together. And here he walks in and sees
- 25:11her to be pregnant. Imagine that, friends.
- 25:15Imagine the shame. Imagine the embarrassment.
- 25:20Imagine the anger and the rage and the confusion all wrapped up
- 25:25in this little picture here in one little verse.
- 25:28And if you're not careful, you'll just gloss over it.
- 25:32And if you're not careful, all this will just be yeah, yeah,
- 25:35yeah. We've heard that it's second
- 25:37nature to us. But we need to lock in.
- 25:40We really need to put ourselves in that time.
- 25:43We really need to try to understand the emotions.
- 25:46We need to try to see it from Joseph's angle, to say he didn't
- 25:53have the helicopter view, that you and I have these words on a
- 25:56page that are trustworthy and true.
- 25:59He was there on the ground and it was hard for him to try to
- 26:03understand what was actually happening.
- 26:05And at this time, Mary had not told him about her visitation,
- 26:10so he minded to put her away privately.
- 26:15He did not want to make a public spectacle of her, like most of
- 26:21us probably would. 20 But while he thought on these things,
- 26:26behold, the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream,
- 26:29saying, Joseph, you son of David, do not fear to take Mary
- 26:36your to be your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of
- 26:41the Holy Ghost. Praise God, The only ghost we
- 26:45believe in is the Holy Ghost. Praise God for this visitation
- 26:49from the angelic. Praise God that he came and he
- 26:53instructed Joseph what to do. You know, Joseph had no excuse
- 26:58past this point. It was all green light, it was
- 27:02all gas, no break. So Joseph, being a just man and
- 27:07being reasonable, thought about these things and was told what
- 27:12to do. Do you wait on the Lord before
- 27:14you make a knee jerk reaction friend?
- 27:18Or do you just go with what you feel because feelings will lie
- 27:23to you? Friends, we need to sit before
- 27:25the Lord. We need to receive our worth
- 27:28from the Lord. We need to receive our direction
- 27:32from the Lord. If you will acknowledge the
- 27:35Lord, he will direct your steps, friends, and you'll never have
- 27:38to worry about missing out on something or getting it wrong.
- 27:43Sit before the Lord, acknowledge him in the morning and watch how
- 27:46he directs your steps for the entire day and do it.
- 27:50Make it part of your discipline. Do it every day.
- 27:54Sit and wait on the Lord and acknowledge him, friends, and he
- 27:58will make sure that you get there in the end. 21 And she
- 28:05shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for
- 28:14he shall save his people from their sins.
- 28:17That is what Jesus means. That is what Yeshua means,
- 28:22friends. Ayusus.
- 28:25That is what it means, friends. Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Jesus
- 28:30the anointed one, Jesus the name above all names.
- 28:34Bring that name on your lips today and watch the darkness
- 28:37flee. It is the name above all names.
- 28:40The only name that is able to save is Jesus Christ of
- 28:44Nazareth, Jesus the anointed one, Jesus the Son of God.
- 28:53Jesus is God, and Jesus is Lord. He saves us from our sins. 22
- 29:05Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled, which was
- 29:10spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, What did the
- 29:14prophet say in Isaiah? It says, Behold, a virgin shall
- 29:19be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call
- 29:26his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is God with us.
- 29:35Jesus was born, Jesus came, and he is not just a historical
- 29:48figure, He is God Almighty. And it has proved that he came
- 29:53and it has proved that he died and it has proved that he
- 29:56resurrected. It has proved that He appeared
- 29:59to many after his death, burial, resurrection, and then he
- 30:04ascended to the right hand of God and he goes to prepare a
- 30:07place for you. Friend, Praise God that this is
- 30:12reality. He is Emmanuel, He is here with
- 30:19us now. He is able to save to the
- 30:25utmost. There's no one too far from Him.
- 30:29Cry out to that name. All who call on the name of
- 30:33Jesus shall be saved. If you confess with your mouth
- 30:37that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised
- 30:41him from the dead, shall be saved. 24 Then Joseph, being
- 30:49raised from sleep, did as the Angel of the Lord had bitten
- 30:53him, and took unto him his wife. We'll end on 25.
- 31:01And he did not know her until she had brought forth her first
- 31:07born son. He called his name Jesus because
- 31:10he was a smart man. He was a wise man.
- 31:13He was a just man. He loved God Almighty and he was
- 31:18able to hear from him. And he received him in a vision.
- 31:20He received him in this dream and he received him and he said
- 31:24yes and Amen to what the Angel proclaimed to him.
- 31:28And he didn't trust his own feelings and emotions.
- 31:34He trusted God and he named him Jesus.
- 31:40He didn't name him Joseph Junior, he named him Jesus.
- 31:45How amazing is this first chapter here in the New
- 31:51Testament? This is where we should all
- 31:54start to read the Bible. It's hard when you're over there
- 31:57in the Old Testament trying to chomp on meat and you've yet to
- 32:01even receive your first set of teeth.
- 32:04It's super hard to try to eat AT bone steak when you don't have
- 32:08any teeth. And the Old Testament is meet
- 32:11friends. And this is the milk we are
- 32:14drinking the milk, friends, we're being brought up.
- 32:17And whenever we are reading the New Testament, friends, it's
- 32:21the, it's the milk for the new believer.
- 32:24I pray that as we read this, God speaks to you loudly and boldly
- 32:28as He did me whenever I first read this, as He spoke to me in
- 32:33such mighty ways during this time.
- 32:37I pray that the Holy Spirit teaches you as you read this.
- 32:43And it's very interesting here at the end of Matthew 1 and it
- 32:50says he did not know her until after Jesus was born.
- 32:55This is them being intimate and there is belief that Mary was a
- 33:08virgin her entire life. That is not so.
- 33:13Bible does not teach that she is not our mediator.
- 33:18She was a human just like you, just like me.
- 33:21She had amazing faith and she was chosen by God to house and
- 33:27to to take care of God in the flesh.
- 33:32Jesus Christ, how amazing is this book that we hold in our
- 33:37hands. Let's not gloss over.
- 33:40Let's not check out, let's lock in friends as we read through
- 33:46this next book and all through the New Testament.
- 33:51Hope you've been blessed by this book.
- 33:53I know I sure have. I'm praying for every single one
- 33:56of you. I love you, so does God.
- 34:03I'm praying for every single one of you and I will see you back
- 34:05here tomorrow. God bless you.
