- 0:25Speaker 1: had a scheduling conflict.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, a little bit, but we had to make
- 0:28Speaker 2: sure a little Hollywood shake going on. No, no, but
- 0:31Speaker 2: I saw you them fishes you were walking with.
- 0:34Speaker 1: What kind of fish?
- 0:35Speaker 3: Were those goldfish? They like the rarest form of a goldfish.
- 0:39Speaker 1: How much were it was? East goldfish?
- 0:42Speaker 3: Twelve hundred?
- 0:44Speaker 4: Man, I got this crazy new addiction of like exotic fish.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Like this election is crazy.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I've been telling my wife and I said, I want
- 0:53Speaker 2: a fish tank, but I want a salt water fish tank.
- 0:55Speaker 2: But I know I gotta be able to keep up
- 0:58Speaker 2: with and stuff like that.
- 0:59Speaker 3: My regam nation.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Honestly, get your fresh water one fresh as I did.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Like I started off like with fresh water. You know
- 1:06Speaker 4: what I'm saying.
- 1:06Speaker 3: I got like eight tanks in my property.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Oh my god, Yeah, dude, I got like so fish Okay,
- 1:12Speaker 2: So do you have a favorite fish fish?
- 1:16Speaker 4: Yeah, yea yeah, probably be my fly river turtle. It's
- 1:18Speaker 4: like a turtle got to come up.
- 1:20Speaker 1: How big does the turtle get?
- 1:21Speaker 3: It gets big? Man, Oh wow, like real big.
- 1:23Speaker 1: So you have something large enough for the turtle to
- 1:26Speaker 1: go in there?
- 1:26Speaker 3: Yeah, live his life? Yeah, yeah for sure.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Yeah man, it's nice to have.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Some rich friends. Okay, project out now.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Yeah, out now for sure, mud mud excited.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I appreciate it. What's your favorite record on that?
- 1:42Speaker 3: Man? Right now?
- 1:42Speaker 4: Like I go in and out because sometimes I feel
- 1:45Speaker 4: like I consider myself the wokens nigga outside you know
- 1:48Speaker 4: what I'm saying. Because I like records that like have
- 1:50Speaker 4: a have a message, which is most of my project,
- 1:53Speaker 4: you know, people feeling. But then I have records that like,
- 1:55Speaker 4: you know, just make me you don't want to have fun,
- 1:57Speaker 4: have a good time.
- 1:58Speaker 3: But right now, my favorite record is Believe. You know
- 2:01Speaker 3: what I'm saying.
- 2:01Speaker 4: It's like a record basically like based on like you know,
- 2:04Speaker 4: you gotta believe in yourself before anybody, do you know
- 2:06Speaker 4: what I'm saying?
- 2:07Speaker 3: And like that's just crazy.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Now that reel was fire with Kevin Gates was just
- 2:12Speaker 2: talking off camera he gave you a Kevin Gates versus
- 2:15Speaker 2: like I'm talking Kevin Gate.
- 2:16Speaker 3: You know, like sometimes like you get features.
- 2:19Speaker 4: All the features on my project are blessings, but sometimes
- 2:22Speaker 4: you might get a feature and it just it just
- 2:24Speaker 4: might just just throw.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Away versus what it's supposed to do. Don't do what
- 2:27Speaker 3: it's supposed to do.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Man, So it's a rare thing for like somebody like
- 2:30Speaker 4: Gates to show so much love like it was he
- 2:34Speaker 4: did a real he.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Was really like you gotta really be tapped in with
- 2:37Speaker 2: him for him to rock with you like that too,
- 2:40Speaker 2: Like yeah, I kind of know he kind.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Of go off. He don't go off.
- 2:43Speaker 4: It ain't money, it ain't not it's just love, you
- 2:45Speaker 4: know what I'm saying. Like literally, like I hate Kris
- 2:46Speaker 4: Shana because I know Kris Shan is like super close
- 2:49Speaker 4: to him, and like I hate Kashana. I'm like, man,
- 2:53Speaker 4: it's only one person I want on this remix because
- 2:55Speaker 4: like it was doing so well by itself and there's
- 2:58Speaker 4: only one, the real, the original real. Yeah, And I
- 3:03Speaker 4: said to the Christian, I swear dude, Gates sent that
- 3:06Speaker 4: verse back.
- 3:06Speaker 3: To me in like thirty minutes.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Bro Fire, He's just happy to be in the studio.
- 3:11Speaker 2: He felt the vibe knocked it out.
- 3:12Speaker 3: And he smacked it. He gave me something for real,
- 3:15Speaker 3: for sure, for real.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Okay, Now, look, I was talking about you to my partners. Man,
- 3:19Speaker 2: you know, big time songwriter like yourself in your artist vibe, Yo,
- 3:25Speaker 2: what do you enjoy more?
- 3:27Speaker 4: Man, it's tough because, like, honestly, like I love like
- 3:31Speaker 4: expressing myself like through my music as an artist because
- 3:35Speaker 4: I get to talk about.
- 3:36Speaker 3: More personal things to me.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Whereas like songwriting, there's part of me like like there's
- 3:42Speaker 4: a super like urban side of me, you know what
- 3:44Speaker 4: I'm saying. And then there's a super R and B
- 3:45Speaker 4: side of me. There's a super pop side of me,
- 3:47Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying. Like there's an emo side
- 3:50Speaker 4: of me, you know what I'm saying.
- 3:51Speaker 2: My question to you is when you're tapping into your
- 3:53Speaker 2: artist bag. Sometimes I know you hear a song, you
- 3:56Speaker 2: be like this five, I need to get it. It's
- 4:00Speaker 2: such and such, But man, I need to keep it.
- 4:04Speaker 2: What determines you keeping it versus giving it to somebody?
- 4:09Speaker 3: Man, it's a struggle.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I just need to go to Chris Brown. But then
- 4:13Speaker 1: you be like, I need to keep this.
- 4:16Speaker 4: I mean, it's just like very sometimes because like I said,
- 4:19Speaker 4: like when I'm writing records for myself, it really be
- 4:22Speaker 4: for myself, Like it might be like about some personal
- 4:25Speaker 4: shit about like my like upbringing and shit like that,
- 4:27Speaker 4: so it's impossible to let those go. So like I'm like,
- 4:31Speaker 4: I'm a real like chameleon when it comes to like songwriting, so.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Like which is a talent of itself for sure.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Like so when I'm writing for an artist, like if
- 4:41Speaker 4: I'm writing for Cardi, like it's ool.
- 4:43Speaker 1: So what you say what you're writing for If I'm writing.
- 4:45Speaker 4: For Cardi, like, it's it's for Carti, it ain't for me,
- 4:49Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying.
- 4:50Speaker 3: So it don't all run into those too.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Many often, And then I honestly feel like I don't
- 4:54Speaker 4: get to attest to a song enough to be like,
- 4:56Speaker 4: so yeah, I really don't have a fear of not
- 4:59Speaker 4: being being able to write a hit. I'd have done
- 5:01Speaker 4: it so many times. It's like I'm not like, man,
- 5:03Speaker 4: I might not be able to write another song. A
- 5:05Speaker 4: lot of times people want to hold on the sun
- 5:06Speaker 4: because they might feel like they can't do it again.
- 5:08Speaker 2: But predental, So I was talking to my partners we
- 5:14Speaker 2: was talking about. I just feel like in our community,
- 5:17Speaker 2: we're the only community that hate on each.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Other when we get old.
- 5:20Speaker 2: For sure, when I see in other ethnicities when artists
- 5:25Speaker 2: get old, they still be rocking out, still going on
- 5:29Speaker 2: the road, it's almost like a yay, you know what
- 5:31Speaker 2: I'm saying, Like he's.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Even more a lore at this particular moment.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Why do you think that in our competition, it's almost
- 5:38Speaker 2: like you got to stay as young as possible.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Man, can't get old.
- 5:42Speaker 4: Man, Honestly, I just feel like we not even just
- 5:45Speaker 4: on getting old or get I just feel like we
- 5:47Speaker 4: gatekeep a lot, you know, against each other, Like we
- 5:51Speaker 4: were so pent against each other in competition. I don't know,
- 5:55Speaker 4: Like it's a weird thing that we have in our
- 5:56Speaker 4: culture that I feel like only the big dogs.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Can be able to change, you know what I'm saying,
- 6:01Speaker 3: And that that's just the way it is. It sucked though.
- 6:05Speaker 2: For someone that is coming in the game, like how
- 6:07Speaker 2: you did songwriting? Yeah, what's some advice you would give
- 6:10Speaker 2: a young songwriter that's kind of discouraged at the moment.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Man, you gotta work through it, Like you know what
- 6:14Speaker 4: I'm saying, It was man, it was times where I
- 6:17Speaker 4: had the number one record in the world and shit,
- 6:19Speaker 4: I don't get paid for that record for nine months.
- 6:21Speaker 4: So you know what I'm saying, You gotta work through
- 6:23Speaker 4: the struggle. You gotta work through those times where you
- 6:25Speaker 4: feel like it's I feel like it's like to have
- 6:28Speaker 4: ups and downs as a songwriter. It's a benefit because
- 6:32Speaker 4: it's like people have ups and downs, So music needs
- 6:35Speaker 4: to have ups and downs. Like sometimes I just want
- 6:38Speaker 4: to listen to Sha just when I'm just in a mood,
- 6:40Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying. But sometimes I might want
- 6:42Speaker 4: to listen to Travis Scott, you know what I'm saying.
- 6:44Speaker 4: So it's like different energies for different things. So as
- 6:47Speaker 4: a songwriter, man, just keep creating, man, even when you
- 6:50Speaker 4: you know, down on your dick, you don't feel like it, like,
- 6:52Speaker 4: keep creating.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Okay, I appreciate that.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Now on the flip side, it's time for you got
- 6:57Speaker 2: me fucked, Dug. What are some things that get on
- 7:00Speaker 2: your nerves? Like David, it was on the show you
- 7:02Speaker 2: said he hate FaceTime, Pretty V said she hate what
- 7:05Speaker 2: someone called her back to back to back to back.
- 7:08Speaker 2: What is something that gets on Ivery Scott's last damn
- 7:11Speaker 2: nerve man.
- 7:12Speaker 4: I hate when I hate when people listen to like
- 7:16Speaker 4: demos or music like either like this out the out
- 7:19Speaker 4: their phone or like in the worst conditions, because it's like,
- 7:23Speaker 4: we bust our eyes to make this music high quality.
- 7:25Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 7:26Speaker 4: We spend top dollar to make sure our music is
- 7:28Speaker 4: on a quality level.
- 7:30Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Like, so you gotta respect what is that to listen to?
- 7:35Speaker 4: Get some headphones? Man, get some headphones.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Okay, say let's say let's you know that grinds your
- 7:40Speaker 2: gears though for sure? Okay, all right, well listen, man,
- 7:43Speaker 2: project out right now, give me some shout outs.
- 7:45Speaker 4: My brother man shout out to everybody to help me
- 7:47Speaker 4: with this project.
- 7:48Speaker 3: My brother hit Maker, executive producer, Hey, hit make it.
- 7:51Speaker 1: What's up?
- 7:51Speaker 2: He was talking about you to last our last baller word.
- 7:54Speaker 2: That's my brother, high praises man.
- 7:56Speaker 4: That's my brother for real, for he helped me out
- 7:58Speaker 4: in so many different ways.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Man.
- 8:00Speaker 4: When I first my first session with hit, I had
- 8:02Speaker 4: no placements. Mike Hearn called me, called up, put me
- 8:05Speaker 4: in hit make on texts and he was just like
- 8:08Speaker 4: hit making me ivory scoy guaranteed magic I went to
- 8:12Speaker 4: the studio that night with him, had no placements. Gee
- 8:14Speaker 4: walked in there. We did ten songs that night. I
- 8:17Speaker 4: think I walked out of that session with like two
- 8:19Speaker 4: placements my first like couple vibes. You know what I'm saying.
- 8:22Speaker 1: If you don't mind, get you name the two.
- 8:23Speaker 4: That one was with LaToya Rick Ross, Rick Ross, and
- 8:31Speaker 4: then another one was Ariana Grande. So bless Bro for real, honestly,
- 8:36Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying. So Bro I always been
- 8:38Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying. He always been championing me.
- 8:40Speaker 4: He really was like one of the people that was like, man,
- 8:42Speaker 4: look you need to do your artist thing, you know
- 8:44Speaker 4: what I'm saying, Because like I was winning so much
- 8:46Speaker 4: and still am like winning so much as a songwriter
- 8:50Speaker 4: that I ain't really wasn't really like overmotivated to be
- 8:53Speaker 4: an artist just because I know what it entails. You
- 8:55Speaker 4: know how deep people get into your life and stuff
- 8:57Speaker 4: like that. And I enjoyed going in the walmart, you
- 9:00Speaker 4: know what I'm saying on the late nights. But he
- 9:03Speaker 4: was one of the artists and you know people and
- 9:05Speaker 4: producers that were just really like, man, you need to
- 9:07Speaker 4: pop out as an artist. You know what I'm saying.
- 9:09Speaker 4: You gotta do it because.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I like the music too, though, Bro, I appreciate you
- 9:12Speaker 2: got you have a very dope sound good. I appreciate
- 9:14Speaker 2: the variety, Army Swiss knife type top. I appreciate that
- 9:18Speaker 2: big fan. And we gotta get you back on that
- 9:20Speaker 2: bowling too, bro, because man, we're gonna running back this year.
- 9:23Speaker 3: I was terrible.
- 9:24Speaker 1: No, no, no, get your practice on November.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Honestly, man, I've been I've been working on my property.
- 9:29Speaker 4: I got a property out here in Atlanta.
- 9:31Speaker 2: So you say you can put bowl at least two lane.
- 9:35Speaker 3: So okay, get ready, bro, No, I'll be ready. I
- 9:38Speaker 3: don't know.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna draft you on Team Ferrari. You
- 9:40Speaker 2: was on Louis v Team last time.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Man, you know what I'm saying, Louis, it might be hard. Okay,
- 9:45Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying.
- 9:46Speaker 2: But well you know I'm I'm the returning champion, so
- 9:49Speaker 2: you might want to get on the winning team.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Said repeat three peat, hold up the trophy again. Okay,
- 9:55Speaker 3: all right?
- 9:55Speaker 1: Oh, so anyone shout out to my brother.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Man, shout out to everybody on the project, my brother too, change,
