- 0:13Speaker 1: Sure, talk to me man.
- 0:14Speaker 2: What was Uh?
- 0:15Speaker 1: Well, first let's talk about the flight. How did you
- 0:17spend the flight?
- 0:18Speaker 3: You told me you were gonna, you know, focus in
- 0:19on the playbook. But once you got on there, did
- 0:21you get a chance to ship it up with teammates
- 0:23and things like?
- 0:24Speaker 2: Nah? Definitely. I went through my playbook a little bit
- 0:27for about five or ten minutes, and I put me
- 0:29on a Netflix show that I wanted to watch, call Untamed.
- 0:32It's new okay, so yeah, put that on. Uh then
- 0:36I fell asleep.
- 0:36Speaker 1: So what's the review so far?
- 0:38Speaker 2: On now? It's definitely great, man, I love it. It's
- 0:40actually it's number one on Netflix right now.
- 0:43Speaker 1: You don't strike me as someone who watches a lot
- 0:45of TV.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yeah you do. Yeah, I don't. But like, if it's
- 0:49a good movie and I hear about things like that,
- 0:51I'm definitely gonna watch it.
- 0:52Speaker 1: So what's in your wheelhouse? Comedies? Action?
- 0:55Speaker 2: Now? I'm a horror movie type of guy. Horror, Yeah,
- 0:57I like horror movies. I watch him in the morning
- 0:59time best, That's when I watch the best. I don't like.
- 1:01I don't know why. Everybody common word for not like
- 1:04not watching him at nighttime, But I feel like it's
- 1:06better in the morning.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Have you ever seen Weapons?
- 1:08Speaker 2: I never seen Weapons? Not not Now you just put
- 1:10me on something. It's on Netflix.
- 1:12Speaker 1: It just came out. It's in the theater, so it's been.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Out three weeks. All right, I've been I definitely gonna
- 1:16what's again it's.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Called Weapons, all right? But I saw a movie last
- 1:20Saturday called The Long Walk. Yeah, I recommend that.
- 1:23Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:23Speaker 3: It's kind of it's kind of got like thriller.
- 1:26Speaker 2: You know, keep you on the edge of you. Okay, okay,
- 1:28I'm definitely gonna tune in thriller. Yeah.
- 1:30Speaker 1: So what what was What do you make of the
- 1:32atmosphere there? Era has stated it is everything that.
- 1:34Speaker 2: You've heard about it definitely. In fact, it was everything
- 1:37I have heard off. It was loud and Nazius fans
- 1:41was crazy yelling at us the whole time on the sidelines.
- 1:43But it was a great experience, man Or The guys
- 1:46came out here and did what we expect expected to do,
- 1:48and that was winning.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Do you still keep your same pregame routine you get
- 1:51out there a couple of hours early.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Oh yeah, always, you know, you gotta stay with your
- 1:55daily habits. Man, If you go away for your daily habits,
- 1:57then you're not gonna be the man that you wanna be.
- 2:00Speaker 3: So how have you sort of been devoting your time
- 2:02during the week, mostly focusing on special teams, mostly focusing
- 2:05on Nickel.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Outside Like, uh, it's a mixture of all of 'em.
- 2:09Like I say, you got that daily routine. Some days
- 2:13I focus on more special teams and then the other
- 2:15days I focus more on nickel. But it's all together
- 2:18one day. I do all of 'em in one day.
- 2:20But it's mainly just focusing on one position on special teams.
- 2:24And why I'm in a Nickel fe on, that's the
- 2:26only thing I play so well. I play a little
- 2:28bit of the corner as well, focusing on Nickels, the anything.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Now, everyone's different, But how do you compartmentalize all those
- 2:33different things that you're learning?
- 2:35Speaker 2: It's really just about being to yourself. Uh. I. I
- 2:38make sure I keep a no pay with me everywhere
- 2:40I go. So and I got my little college where
- 2:42I go one day for special team, one page special
- 2:44team with one page for NIGGA.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Now two games in your career, what what have you
- 2:48learned about either the NFL or about yourself and.
- 2:51Speaker 2: The process, taking taking everything one day at the time,
- 2:56you know, uh, not getting too big, not getting too low,
- 2:58you know, focusing on the main things. Uh. He got
- 3:01a lot of group of guys out here, and uh,
- 3:03I'm glad that I got guys uh on my team
- 3:06that's very capable of you know, just coming into me
- 3:09talking to me about how they go about their daily life.
- 3:12So you know, like I said, I just take little
- 3:13things from them, them guys, the older guys that's in
- 3:16the room, and you know, just applied to my game.
- 3:18Speaker 3: So he got a chance to see the Kansas City
- 3:20offense and get to see your your fellow DB's out there.
- 3:23Speaker 2: What was it.
- 3:24Speaker 1: What were those conversations?
- 3:25Speaker 3: Like, I know you said that you communicate with those
- 3:26guys when when they're coming off the field.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yeah, mainly just telling them what I saw on the sideline.
- 3:33You know, it's better because you know, them guys out
- 3:35there playing so they're not seeing everything. So just when
- 3:37they got to the sideline, you know, I was chopping
- 3:39up with him about what I saw and things like that,
- 3:41just the in and outs and.
- 3:42Speaker 1: The fishers you set fishers coming after the games. Yeh.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Has he ever been to flatoff?
- 3:46Speaker 2: Nah? He never been, so you get them, have you?
- 3:48Have you been talking to him? Nah, definitely. I talked
- 3:51to him last week about it. Yeah, he said he
- 3:53was definitely gonna. He said he was gonna try to
- 3:55real I'm not putting out hopes, so I ain't gonna.
- 3:57I ain't gonna say he he's guaranteed to come, cause
- 3:59you know, he got his own thing going on right now.
- 4:02But he definitely wants to come out, and I told
- 4:05him that I got So are you straight? So just
- 4:07come down here if you want to come. But if
- 4:09you got something to do, you know, handle handle your business.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Who else is coming out from your family?
- 4:13Speaker 2: My mom, uh, my grandma and my granddad.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Now I understand you were Quinton Lake thirty seven in
- 4:22practice this week.
- 4:23Speaker 2: I couldn't hear you. Yeah, Quinton Lake. Yeah, So how
- 4:26does that?
- 4:26Speaker 1: How does that work?
- 4:27Speaker 3: You spend time watching film on that particular player, like
- 4:31what's the what's the process?
- 4:32Speaker 2: Like, No, I don't because he's a defensive guy. So
- 4:35I'm focusing, if anything, I'm gonna focus on more what
- 4:39I got to do, you know, instead of focusing on
- 4:41what he does, because you know, they play away to
- 4:44entire defense than we play, so just putting on the
- 4:47just putting on the D and just do them with
- 4:49a cases.
- 4:49Speaker 3: So I didn't know if you had to pick up
- 4:51on either tendency and try to give them a different
- 4:53little for everything.
- 4:54Speaker 1: So what what uh? What stands out to you about
- 4:57what the rams do.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Off the quarterback? That's the main thing, you know, Like
- 5:03I said last week, he gonna make the plays for him.

- 7:40Speaker 3: How about from a from a passing game perspective, Yeah,
- 7:42there's a lot of effective there's a lot of play action.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Now they do you know they get the linebackers going
- 7:48up one way and you know they tied to slip
- 7:50it backside or you know, try to get them in
- 7:52media rocks come across the middle just because they got
- 7:54the linebacker up on boot game with something like that.
- 7:56So I'll just say that's my name.
- 7:59Speaker 1: As a defense back.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Do you like going against offenses like that just because
- 8:03of the challenges it could potentially.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely, I'm with whatever it's time, I'm going out there,
- 8:09so uh yeah, I'm up.
- 8:11Speaker 3: For I don't think I ever asked you about this,
- 8:13But do you have a celebration in mind for when
- 8:16you get the first NFL?
- 8:18Speaker 2: I don't right now, but eventually I have it, but
- 8:22really probably just come up, come up in my head.
- 8:24Whenever I do, do it, come on the flock.
- 8:26Speaker 1: So you're you're obviously used.
- 8:27Speaker 2: To play a lot in your career, you've been.
- 8:31Speaker 3: How have you gone about, I guess processing or adapting
- 8:35to taking a little bit of a different.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Type of roles so far. Yeah, like I said, just
- 8:40letting the main thing do the main thing, you know. Uh,
- 8:42whenever my time has come, I'm gonna do what do what?
- 8:45Do what I need to do, you know, try to
- 8:47impress the coaches to let me stab do anything, you know.
- 8:49So I'm just taking everything one day at a time
- 8:52right now.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Where is that patience come from?
- 8:54Speaker 2: Uh? From when I was little? You know, I've always
- 8:56been a patient type guy. I never was just so
- 8:59eager to go up, you know, make sure everything to patient.
- 9:02Almost once you get that patience, you know, everything's gonna
- 9:05fall into place.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Last one for you, what's one thing you're working on
- 9:09this week that you're hoping to you know, carry over
- 9:12to Sunday.
- 9:13Speaker 2: One thing I'll like, I I probably say, you know,
- 9:16just getting it, getting all the getting all the them
- 9:20as out. You know, I got I'd be having like
- 9:23a little miscues whenever I'm trying to like focus on
- 9:26you wanna play one caller or another call like that,
- 9:29So you know, just focusing on the main thing and
- 9:31getting the calls right and making sure I play the
- 9:33right technique.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I got another one for you. You talk
- 9:36about them as but obviously a big thing about being
- 9:39a successful profensive back. It's a short memory.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Is that something that you've mastered or do you have
- 9:45to kind of constantly preach that?
- 9:47Speaker 2: Nah, definitely, like you gotta master that. As a dB.
- 9:49You know, Uh, they get paid just like we do.
- 9:51So you know, things gonna happen. It ain't gonna go
- 9:54a go as it as you want to. Out of time,
- 9:56Like I say, just keep it in the same mindset
- 9:58and just letting everything come to you. Appreciate it back,
- 10:00Thank you, projective, thank you coming the m H
