- 1:27Speaker 1: A whist So yeah, it's toopid, but what don't you expect.
- 1:30Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles twenty line wheels.
- 1:36Speaker 1: There we missed that I yelled sports from the back.
- 1:38Speaker 1: You were the only one I half second late. That's
- 1:40Speaker 1: all right, Uh welcome everybody, EDI blow the whistle. A
- 1:43Speaker 1: couple things. The NCAA announced yesterday that it's playing Rules
- 1:48Speaker 1: Oversight Panel as approof changes to the injury timeout rules.
- 1:52Speaker 1: This is basically, if someone's injured and let's say there's
- 1:56Speaker 1: an offense that rang a lot of know how to
- 1:57Speaker 1: a lot of uh, so I grab my hamstring, yep,
- 2:00Speaker 1: slow it down. Under the new rule approved If a
- 2:02Speaker 1: medical personnel enter the field to evaluate an injured player
- 2:06Speaker 1: after the ball is spotted by the officiating crew for
- 2:08Speaker 1: the next play, the player's team will be charged a timeout.
- 2:12Speaker 1: If the team doesn't have any timeouts remaining, a five
- 2:14Speaker 1: yard delay of game penalty will be assessed. The proposal
- 2:18Speaker 1: to adjust the injury timeout rule resulted from teams faking
- 2:21Speaker 1: injuries to stop their opponent's momentum or avoid using an
- 2:24Speaker 1: allotted timeout. So yeah, you know, we don't talk about
- 2:28Speaker 1: the avoided timeout thing as much. Mostly it's if Oregan's
- 2:31Speaker 1: running wide open and they're just trying to slow it
- 2:35Speaker 1: down so they can, you know, have a conversation. But yeah,
- 2:40Speaker 1: sometimes they just do it so they can have a conversation.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Yeah that's fine, Well, good, that's good.
- 2:44Speaker 5: The five yard delay, the that would be like, so
- 2:48Speaker 5: if you go you're the defense, right, you go down
- 2:50Speaker 5: legs hurting, the offense automatically gets five yards.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, okay, if the person runs onto the field
- 2:58Speaker 1: after the ball is by the officiating crew for the
- 3:01Speaker 1: next play, so I'm trying to have players go down quick, yeah,
- 3:04Speaker 1: real quick, like yeah, if you're so, this is how
- 3:06Speaker 1: you would kind of circumvent you would to go, Okay,
- 3:09Speaker 1: if we're gonna do this, when you go down, when
- 3:11Speaker 1: you make the tackle, you get in on it and
- 3:12Speaker 1: don't get up. Yeah, instead of like the guy standing
- 3:16Speaker 1: up and going oh and falling. Yeah, it's gonna be
- 3:19Speaker 1: more people staying down.
- 3:20Speaker 6: It's kind of got to be like a coach to
- 3:22Speaker 6: play before being like hey, next play, like after it's done.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Stay down.
- 3:25Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 3:26Speaker 1: There's no real sign you can send right, it's gotta
- 3:29Speaker 1: be Yeah, it's gonna have to be predictive mm hmm
- 3:31Speaker 1: by a play because.
- 3:32Speaker 3: They're aready gonna yeah, they're already figuring out ways to
- 3:34Speaker 3: beat it.
- 3:34Speaker 1: This is the liar rule where now you do see
- 3:37Speaker 1: players look to the sideline and then grab their hamstring
- 3:39Speaker 1: the ball down and just fall straight.
- 3:41Speaker 8: Down, or when they're walking all normal and then they just.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Fall and the coach on the sideline pointed to the ground.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Right. I do like it they're trying to fix that
- 3:48Speaker 1: because that is a very annoying part of the game.
- 3:49Speaker 8: You had a good one, though, it was like, what
- 3:52Speaker 8: was your.
- 3:52Speaker 1: The whole series? Yeah, you're out the whole game. I
- 3:55Speaker 1: think if it happens, you're out the whole series. If
- 3:57Speaker 1: that whole possession. You're out, you go down. Trainers got
- 4:02Speaker 1: to come out. Even if you're okay and they have
- 4:04Speaker 1: to stop play, you're out for the whole entire drive.
- 4:08Speaker 8: That'll teach him.
- 4:09Speaker 3: And that may become a thing a couple of years.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Like if this is I would I would cheat with
- 4:13Speaker 1: this immediately.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Like we just came up with this on the fly.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I was watching a TikTok about Mike Leach, who mostly
- 4:22Speaker 1: is known for Texas Tech but also coached at Washington
- 4:23Speaker 1: Missippi State and one of his assistant coaches, who I'm
- 4:28Speaker 1: not sure if he's coaching anymore or maybe he was
- 4:30Speaker 1: just like a ga at the time. He said they
- 4:32Speaker 1: literally had a meeting on short down situations where Mike
- 4:35Speaker 1: Leach was like, why can't we get a little person
- 4:38Speaker 1: to be on the team and if it's third to one,
- 4:40Speaker 1: fourth and one, we just pick him up and throw
- 4:41Speaker 1: him for the over for the I thought he was
- 4:45Speaker 1: going to go, you hand on the ball, they can't
- 4:47Speaker 1: see him, me too, but he said, why can't we
- 4:49Speaker 1: just pick him up and throw them over? He said,
- 4:52Speaker 1: Mike Leach's tried so many things, or at least try that,
- 4:55Speaker 1: Like they thought about so many things to not cheat,
- 4:58Speaker 1: but within the rules, find way is that other people
- 5:01Speaker 1: weren't using. Now the problem is you can't like take
- 5:04Speaker 1: a player. It's why the tush push is eventually going
- 5:08Speaker 1: to be banned, because they're gonna go. You can't push
- 5:11Speaker 1: other players and you're not supposed to now, you're not supposed
- 5:13Speaker 1: to grab them pull them forward. Defensively, you can't do that.
- 5:15Speaker 1: You can't jump off somebody the block of field goal.
- 5:17Speaker 8: You can't push them though right into the end zone.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Offensive defensively you can't.
- 5:21Speaker 8: Oh, defensively, you can't.
- 5:23Speaker 1: So that's already part of it. And it used to
- 5:25Speaker 1: be offensively. And I don't know if you can drag.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I don't think you can drag them, but I think
- 5:29Speaker 1: you can like join the pile push. Yeah, so, but
- 5:33Speaker 1: Michael wanted to throw them over the line.
- 5:34Speaker 5: I mean that would be the dream for all us
- 5:36Speaker 5: small guys too, like, yeah, I made the team. Oh yeah,
- 5:38Speaker 5: well physicially if they throw me over for the first down,
- 5:40Speaker 5: what do they call that the canniball?
- 5:42Speaker 3: That would be awesome. The walk on finally gets this touchdown.
- 5:46Speaker 1: The problem is the other team would then start to
- 5:49Speaker 1: throw people up at the same.
- 5:50Speaker 8: Time, and then then.
- 5:52Speaker 1: The lower guys getting killed in mid air.
- 5:54Speaker 8: Two little guys being thrown.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I don't think it'd be a little it'd probably be
- 5:58Speaker 1: just a smaller big.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Well, how do you pick him up the little ball,
- 6:02Speaker 5: the little guys, because you can pick him up and
- 6:03Speaker 5: throw them.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Yeah, but imagine a defensive player, those cheer those dude
- 6:06Speaker 1: cheerleaders can throw other dude cheerleaders. Sure, the offense just
- 6:10Speaker 1: has to pick the place strategically do it. The defense
- 6:12Speaker 1: just throwing somebody up. He's trying to stop them. But yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I thought that was funny.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Picturing that in your head is a great vision.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Though you ever see the picture it's fro it's black
- 6:19Speaker 1: and white baseball where they bring out the little person
- 6:23Speaker 1: to bat so he gets walked. No, I think he
- 6:26Speaker 1: has a world record for the smallest Major League Baseball
- 6:28Speaker 1: player ever.
- 6:28Speaker 8: That's MLB.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Yeah, it's black and white days and he's like three
- 6:32Speaker 1: foot six or something. Yeah. Interesting ended up not working eventually,
- 6:38Speaker 1: they kind of can that role.
- 6:39Speaker 5: I did see a TikTok of like was it a
- 6:42Speaker 5: Dodgers pitcher who was like just mimicking his pictures like
- 6:46Speaker 5: other pictures Clayton Kershaw and like, and it was during
- 6:49Speaker 5: a game like, so he would just mimic their wind up.
- 6:52Speaker 1: What the game was over though, it was Okay, was
- 6:54Speaker 1: that real? It was like when you yes, but it's
- 6:57Speaker 1: like when you bring an outfielder pitch the game was over.
- 7:00Speaker 1: It was out of hand. He was just doing it
- 7:01Speaker 1: for fun because the game was over.
- 7:03Speaker 5: Yeah, and all the pitches were really slow and they
- 7:05Speaker 5: couldn't even hit him. They were trying to hit the
- 7:06Speaker 5: slow pitches, but they really couldn't because they were just
- 7:08Speaker 5: a lobby.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what that was.
- 7:10Speaker 8: Okay, got it.
- 7:11Speaker 1: NBA playoffs started on Saturday, and the reason that Houston
- 7:16Speaker 1: could not win the championship is the reason that the
- 7:18Speaker 1: Thunder won't win the championship. And I'm Thunder fan. I
- 7:21Speaker 1: won't say a massive Thunder fan, but I'm rooting for
- 7:23Speaker 1: the Thunder. My family are all Thunder fans. My father
- 7:26Speaker 1: in law watches all Thunder games. I wife's the Thunder fan,
- 7:29Speaker 1: So I'm rooting for the Thunder. I have a I
- 7:31Speaker 1: won't say friend, but I have a somebody I'm friendly
- 7:33Speaker 1: with and have been for a long time that plays
- 7:34Speaker 1: for the Thunder. So I'm a Thunder fan.
- 7:37Speaker 3: He's played really good.
- 7:38Speaker 8: He is.
- 7:38Speaker 1: He's got three triple double this year. He comes off
- 7:40Speaker 1: the match, he has three triple doubles. You're talking about
- 7:41Speaker 1: Daen Wiams, Arkansas Jayleen Williams.
- 7:43Speaker 8: Yeah, right right.
- 7:43Speaker 1: They have two Jalen jay the same draft, they drafted
- 7:47Speaker 1: two guys Jayalen Williams from California and jaln from Arkansas,
- 7:52Speaker 1: first and second round, same exact name, So confusing, crazy.
- 7:55Speaker 1: So one's just Jaylen Williams, the first round pick, and
- 7:58Speaker 1: then jay will is for the most part what they
- 8:00Speaker 1: call Arkansas Jaylen Williams. But he comes off the bench,
- 8:02Speaker 1: he's developed a three point shot and he's got three
- 8:04Speaker 1: triple doubles this year.
- 8:05Speaker 8: That's awesome. Man.
- 8:06Speaker 1: So, Thunder are the favorites to one at all plus
- 8:08Speaker 1: one seventy five, barely ahead of the Celtics at plus
- 8:11Speaker 1: two twenty.
- 8:13Speaker 8: What do you think about that?
- 8:15Speaker 1: You know, I think part of the reason is that
- 8:17Speaker 1: Cleveland's in the East. Yeah, and I think Cleveland is
- 8:20Speaker 1: seen as probably the next best team, and Boston has
- 8:24Speaker 1: to go through Cleveland because look at the East and
- 8:27Speaker 1: the West. So the Thunder of the one, Houston's the two,
- 8:32Speaker 1: Houston's playing Golden State, who's the seven.
- 8:34Speaker 6: Yeah, which is a kind of a toss. I think
- 8:36Speaker 6: Golden State might be favored in that series.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I think Golden State's favored.
- 8:38Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:39Speaker 1: So you're looking at the Lakers are three and they're
- 8:42Speaker 1: playing Minnesota. That's going be a good one, and then
- 8:46Speaker 1: four and five Denver and Clippers. Okay, and I think
- 8:51Speaker 1: when you look at those teams on in the East, Cleveland,
- 8:56Speaker 1: Cleveland is the one.
- 8:58Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I just think the reason the Celtics or plus two
- 9:01Speaker 1: twenty is not because of a head to head with OKC,
- 9:02Speaker 1: because I think if we're Boston OKC, Boston would be
- 9:05Speaker 1: the favorite. But I think the Celtics have to get
- 9:07Speaker 1: through a better team then the Thunder would have to
- 9:11Speaker 1: if it came down to one like in the final.
- 9:14Speaker 6: Yeah, Like if the Celtics were the one seed, you
- 9:15Speaker 6: think it'd be flip maybe.
- 9:17Speaker 1: No, But I think that if it were the Celtics
- 9:20Speaker 1: and the Thunder, the Celtics would be the favorite. I
- 9:21Speaker 1: just think the Celtics have a harder road because there's
- 9:24Speaker 1: one better team on the East. It's better than anybody
- 9:26Speaker 1: else in the West.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, the West is deeper but the East is
- 9:29Speaker 3: more top loaded.
- 9:31Speaker 1: The West has, for example, Houston, they're very young. They
- 9:36Speaker 1: play defense like maniacs. Like that, they're basically like Houston College.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Houston defense like maniacs. Yeah. The three seed, the Lakers,
- 9:44Speaker 1: they don't have any big guys like they play small
- 9:47Speaker 1: ball as regular ball, like Lebron has to sometimes guard
- 9:52Speaker 1: a five, so they don't really have a true center,
- 9:56Speaker 1: so it's all small ball.
- 9:58Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 9:59Speaker 1: So as you go down there are a lot of
- 10:01Speaker 1: Denver they just fire their coach and GM and GM
- 10:05Speaker 1: boy and they do have the best player. But also
- 10:08Speaker 1: they have not played two year ago Denver, So you're right,
- 10:12Speaker 1: the West is deeper, but the East has better teams. Yeah,
- 10:16Speaker 1: because if you're okay, see, you'd rather play. But yeah,
- 10:19Speaker 1: okay see has the right now the best line. I
- 10:22Speaker 1: was looking at it this morning. The as of right now,
- 10:25Speaker 1: the eight is not settled. The sevens are up because
- 10:27Speaker 1: they've already won.
- 10:28Speaker 3: These playing games are confusing by the way they are.
- 10:30Speaker 1: But the eights aren't settled yet as of right now.
- 10:32Speaker 1: They will be, but Oklahoma City plays whomever wins the
- 10:38Speaker 1: West eight, which is going to be Dallas or or
- 10:44Speaker 1: Golden Golden State's already in the seven and so and
- 10:48Speaker 1: then after that. Yeah, they're they're I don't have any prime,
- 10:51Speaker 1: but they're they're trajectory.
- 10:53Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Oh, the Christs suck. They've won like twelve to thirty,
- 10:56Speaker 1: I know, and.
- 10:56Speaker 3: The suck six and a half point favorites against Dallas.
- 10:59Speaker 3: I mean, Dallas is. I know they're not that good, but.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Dang, just generally, I mean, the Griz lost to Golden State,
- 11:05Speaker 1: and that's a pretty good game. Yeah it was that.
- 11:07Speaker 1: It'd been a pretty good.
- 11:07Speaker 8: Game, but that one.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Uh. But yeah, anyway, playoffs coming. I like playoff NBA basketball.
- 11:13Speaker 8: This when you start watching, right, Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 11:15Speaker 3: It is a little bit too long, though.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I agree.
- 11:17Speaker 3: I feel like the first round should go back to
- 11:18Speaker 3: five games.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I would love three, five, seven, seven.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that would be great.
- 11:24Speaker 1: That'd be cool. But NBA is all about the playoffs
- 11:27Speaker 1: and they got to make their money.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I get it.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Yeah, this is when I start to care. I've watched
- 11:31Speaker 1: a lot of NBA, never fully committed, but I have
- 11:36Speaker 1: NBA Sunday ticket, so I keep it on a lot
- 11:38Speaker 1: of times.
- 11:38Speaker 8: In the league.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it tickets every day of the week, and so
- 11:42Speaker 1: I keep it on a lot, and so I just
- 11:44Speaker 1: catch random games. Yeah, yeah, so.
- 11:47Speaker 3: You're pulling front of Thunder.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Absolutely. I bet the Lakers. As soon as the trade happened.
- 11:54Speaker 1: I jumped on that pretty quick. So if the Lakers win.
- 11:57Speaker 1: The interesting thing about the Lakers is if they win,
- 12:00Speaker 1: because they're playing Minnesota, I do expect them to beat Minnesota,
- 12:04Speaker 1: and then Golden State and Houston they're the favorite. Then
- 12:07Speaker 1: Lebron's playing steph and then one of them will at
- 12:10Speaker 1: least be in the Western Conference Finals, and that's what
- 12:11Speaker 1: the TV network wants. Yeah, one of them.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Yeah, they'll be happy about that.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean Lebron or step versus the Thunder. That's great.
- 12:20Speaker 1: That's the young team versus you know, the old goat,
- 12:24Speaker 1: which whichever one of them that's still elite.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Yeah, it's kind of like the passing of the guard almost.
- 12:29Speaker 1: And then on the other side are probably Boston and Cleveland. Yeah,
- 12:32Speaker 1: and Boston won last year, but nobody knows about Cleveland
- 12:37Speaker 1: unless you're like a die hard fan. You don't know
- 12:40Speaker 1: how good Darius Garland is this year unless you've like me,
- 12:42Speaker 1: I just stumble and will watch some Calves stuff.
- 12:45Speaker 3: M hm, they're good.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Yeah, they're really good. But it's Cleveland, and so no
- 12:49Speaker 1: one unless you're a Diar Cleveland fan or an NBA fan,
- 12:54Speaker 1: you're not drawn to go watch the Cavaliers play.
- 12:56Speaker 8: No, they're not on like prime television or anything.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:58Speaker 3: No, and Donovan Mitchell can put up four any.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Night, both those guys.
- 13:02Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Bryce Harper used a blue bat to show he was
- 13:07Speaker 1: having a boy. They did a gender reveal in a game.
- 13:08Speaker 8: That's awesome.
- 13:09Speaker 3: That's really cool.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I saw the picture and I was like, why is
- 13:13Speaker 1: he just a blue bat? Then I went and read
- 13:14Speaker 1: underneath it. But Bryce Harper is expecting his fourth child,
- 13:17Speaker 1: a baby boy.
- 13:18Speaker 8: Boy? What four kids?
- 13:20Speaker 1: Man? Yeah, we got a lot of money. Though, he's
- 13:24Speaker 1: gonna have fourteen nannies. The Phillies player announced the news
- 13:28Speaker 1: with the help of a custom baby blue bat handed
- 13:30Speaker 1: him by teammate Trey Turner before he stepped up to
- 13:32Speaker 1: the plate. Harper and his wife Kayla are already parents
- 13:35Speaker 1: of crew daughters Brooklyn and Cameron. And yeah, I don't
- 13:41Speaker 1: know if he knew and they handed him the bat,
- 13:43Speaker 1: But I think he knew and they handed him the bat.
- 13:45Speaker 8: That's just how he told everyone out.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Probably, But I'm not sure about that, but I would
- 13:48Speaker 1: think you aren't told in front of everybody, yeah, that
- 13:53Speaker 1: they hit it, they hit a.
- 13:54Speaker 5: Bat, or you tell your family like all right, I'm
- 13:56Speaker 5: gonna reveal so watch tonight.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Yeah that'd be cool.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Yeah, so yeah, I like it. Good for them. I
- 14:01Speaker 1: saw him walk into a casino in Vegas with a
- 14:04Speaker 1: sling on when he had surgery. Really yeah, him and
- 14:06Speaker 1: his wife. I didn't saying to him, is.
- 14:08Speaker 3: He big at all? He's a decent size, right.
- 14:11Speaker 1: He's thick. Yeah, I don't remember being super tall, but
- 14:13Speaker 1: buo seas. I don't know. Two seas, I don't know anyways.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Yeah, thick, two seats.
- 14:20Speaker 1: You're gonna have surgery. Yeah, speaking of slings.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Yeah, no, dude, I got to pull an eddie over here.
- 14:26Speaker 6: I found out. So I got injured. This is twenty twelve,
- 14:29Speaker 6: playing football, got tackled, landed on my shoulder, heard a pop.
- 14:33Speaker 6: They were like, hey, you tore your ac joint. One
- 14:35Speaker 6: of those is never gonna get worse, but never gonna
- 14:37Speaker 6: get better. And you know you're twenty two at time
- 14:39Speaker 6: twenty one, You're like, I don't want to be in
- 14:41Speaker 6: a sling I don't want to do this, and so
- 14:43Speaker 6: I've kind of put it off since then, and lately
- 14:45Speaker 6: the last couple of years, like it's gotten worse and worse,
- 14:48Speaker 6: and it's felt worse.
- 14:49Speaker 3: So I finally went and saw specialists.
- 14:51Speaker 1: You're about to have kids too, babies, Yeah, I know.
- 14:53Speaker 1: He was like, you gotta put this off for five years.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Well that's why I'm.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, you gotta put it up for five years.
- 14:59Speaker 1: You dealing with it for that long you're gonna have
- 15:01Speaker 1: to hold a baby so much.
- 15:02Speaker 6: But but I got to do it before I can
- 15:04Speaker 6: like lift them and play with them at the same time.
- 15:07Speaker 6: So there's that fine line. I'm buying myself time now.
- 15:10Speaker 6: And he gave me a steroid shot to kind of
- 15:12Speaker 6: get me through, and we'll keep going back every six
- 15:14Speaker 6: weeks or something. But he's like, six weeks in a
- 15:18Speaker 6: sling is the recovery.
- 15:20Speaker 5: You need to wait till other two or three that
- 15:21Speaker 5: would wait, Well, yeah, I mean ask your wife. I'm
- 15:24Speaker 5: sure you wife would say wait because I'm gonna need
- 15:26Speaker 5: your help.
- 15:26Speaker 6: Well yeah, she's like, let's just re evaluate, you know,
- 15:28Speaker 6: in two years, two or three months after they're born,
- 15:33Speaker 6: and we'll see where we're at.
- 15:34Speaker 8: That sucks.
- 15:34Speaker 3: It sucks. Man, it really.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Sucks, but it's also on you for putting it off.
- 15:38Speaker 8: I know.
- 15:38Speaker 3: I agree. I was young and dumb.
- 15:40Speaker 6: When when you're twenty two, that's time to get these
- 15:42Speaker 6: kind of surgery money.
- 15:43Speaker 1: That it's happened that now you find out you need
- 15:45Speaker 1: to do it right when you're having kids. I know,
- 15:46Speaker 1: I know you could even had a year ago. I know,
- 15:50Speaker 1: I know, but.
- 15:50Speaker 8: You've been working out and everything, like just kind of
- 15:52Speaker 8: fighting through it.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I can go on, man, I just have to
- 15:55Speaker 3: go lighter on the weight and stuff.
- 15:56Speaker 6: You know that, And you know it's one of those
- 15:58Speaker 6: you're like, yeah, you know, you push yourself a little bit.
- 16:01Speaker 5: Like I'm thinking too, I'm gonna need to I mean,
- 16:03Speaker 5: I'm gonna to do something with my arm because it's popping.
- 16:05Speaker 1: You need to do proper rehab with it.
- 16:08Speaker 8: I need. I think I need an MRI to make
- 16:10Speaker 8: sure that everything's okay.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Great, you should do that, and they're gonna say it's okay,
- 16:13Speaker 1: But all your muscles are so freaking tight because you
- 16:16Speaker 1: didn't after it was broken. You never did the things
- 16:19Speaker 1: you needed to do to get it back to normal.
- 16:20Speaker 1: You just tried to get back to normal.
- 16:21Speaker 8: Yeah. I went and jumped right to normal.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Yeah, they're like, well it feels good. Now I can
- 16:24Speaker 1: start to do a push up. Wow. Where it's if
- 16:28Speaker 1: you hurt your you tear your achilles, you gotta do
- 16:30Speaker 1: like water treatment, you gotta do all this stuff that
- 16:33Speaker 1: gets you to the point where you can be even again.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Now yours wasn't as severe as that. But you didn't
- 16:38Speaker 1: even do like three weeks of nah, just band work.
- 16:40Speaker 5: I did about one week, but that was within like
- 16:43Speaker 5: one weeks of worth within three weeks.
- 16:47Speaker 8: I didn't do it every day. I would do like
- 16:48Speaker 8: once a week.
- 16:51Speaker 3: It wasn't right, okay.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I Oh, speaking of basketball, before we end this, did
- 16:56Speaker 1: you see the girl that was with the bag? No
- 16:59Speaker 1: so last night or maybe the night before last. It
- 17:02Speaker 1: was the Magic game and they show the bench and
- 17:06Speaker 1: because I wasn't watching the game, but I saw the
- 17:08Speaker 1: clip many times and you don't see her head, but
- 17:11Speaker 1: she's in a like a wife beater t shirts. Why
- 17:15Speaker 1: people even notice her because she has big boobs and
- 17:17Speaker 1: you see like her cleavage, but she pulls like a
- 17:19Speaker 1: bag out and is like hitting the bag and what
- 17:21Speaker 1: you see is her what looks like. And you can
- 17:24Speaker 1: google and see if they found out anything else looks
- 17:26Speaker 1: like her pulling a bagg of cocaine. No way right
- 17:29Speaker 1: behind the bench. On TV. Some people like it's a handwarmer.
- 17:32Speaker 1: That ain't a handwarmer, And I'm not for sure that
- 17:35Speaker 1: it's cocaine, and there could be an update, but man,
- 17:37Speaker 1: did it look like And that's why I saw it
- 17:40Speaker 1: because it went viral. But you guys, pull it up
- 17:44Speaker 1: and look at it because it's a little plastic baggie video.
- 17:50Speaker 8: Okay, I'm popping up the video. It's buffering, classic classic bluffer.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Did you find it? Kevin?
- 17:59Speaker 3: Oh yeah, oh yeah, Oh.
- 18:02Speaker 8: Are you watching it?
- 18:03Speaker 4: Oh?
- 18:03Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 18:04Speaker 1: The only reason you're drawn to it is because, yeah,
- 18:06Speaker 1: I was gonna say, oh, that's why said That's why
- 18:07Speaker 1: everybody saw it, because their boob was hanging out basically,
- 18:10Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden.
- 18:11Speaker 6: She uh, oh, yeah, my guess would be a bag
- 18:16Speaker 6: of cocaine.
- 18:18Speaker 8: For sure.
- 18:20Speaker 1: They're just guesses.
- 18:22Speaker 8: My video hasn't started yet, dude. It's a lot what
- 18:25Speaker 8: dial there I.
- 18:26Speaker 5: Got, she's got the bag, she's shaking it. I've never
- 18:32Speaker 5: done that, so I don't know. I mean, it looks
- 18:34Speaker 5: like a.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Bag of some sort, but a small bag of Yeah, cocaine.
- 18:38Speaker 5: And they should have gotten back to her and see
- 18:39Speaker 5: what she did with it. That would really know.
- 18:42Speaker 1: I don't think that on TV they even knew that
- 18:45Speaker 1: people saw it and started put it online. And I
- 18:47Speaker 1: mean that's when I saw it, was when it went viral.
- 18:49Speaker 5: That's such a good point though, the first time anyone
- 18:51Speaker 5: even saw it because she has big boobs, of.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Course, Yeah, that's what you're drawing seventy people back there. Yeah. Uh,
- 18:56Speaker 1: the other one was and this has been viral for
- 18:58Speaker 1: a couple of days. But the guy, which, by the way,
- 19:01Speaker 1: give the guy a break, but he's it's the Braves
- 19:03Speaker 1: broadcast and he's up in like the party deck and
- 19:06Speaker 1: he gets the girl's number. You see this? No, okay, no,
- 19:10Speaker 1: So he's like the reporter. They're in the party deck
- 19:15Speaker 1: and he's in between two late twenties, early thirties females
- 19:20Speaker 1: and he's got the mic and he's just kind of
- 19:22Speaker 1: talking with them. Mike, would you hear that?
- 19:23Speaker 7: We're having a lot of fun up here? Off the
- 19:24Speaker 7: coroner rooftop? Who do we got you?
- 19:26Speaker 1: What's your name?
- 19:27Speaker 7: My name is Lauren Laurence, all right, and I'm Kayla, Kayla,
- 19:30Speaker 7: and you guys hang out the rooftop lounge often.
- 19:33Speaker 3: Once a year I come out to visit.
- 19:35Speaker 7: Okay, well we timed it pretty well. All right, good.
- 19:37Speaker 7: How are you guys feeling my roof for the Braves today?
- 19:41Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 19:42Speaker 8: I'm hoping for the bust.
- 19:44Speaker 7: What about you? Are you Braves fan?
- 19:45Speaker 1: Now? Not?
- 19:46Speaker 3: Quiet?
- 19:47Speaker 7: Quiet? All right, I'm gonna go to work up here, guys,
- 19:49Speaker 7: Good luck the rest of the way. Okay, Wiley, we
- 19:52Speaker 7: got five innings, four innings to get the numbers.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Come on it, come on, get.
- 19:57Speaker 7: Us some more Braves fans. All right, So they want
- 20:01Speaker 7: me to get your number, they want you to get
- 20:05Speaker 7: I'm dead serious, they're saying to my right now. Shouldn't
- 20:07Speaker 7: believe me because she thinks you guys are are not
- 20:09Speaker 7: making this up. Even if you guys weren't, I might
- 20:12Speaker 7: use that in the future. That's actually pretty good move.
- 20:14Speaker 3: This is unbelievable.
- 20:17Speaker 7: So the best part of this right now is that
- 20:19Speaker 7: Wiley could totally be faking and this might be the
- 20:21Speaker 7: new move. You just walk around with a fan duel
- 20:23Speaker 7: microphone and an earpiece in and convinced fan said they're
- 20:26Speaker 7: actually on TV. I should have thought of this years ago.
- 20:31Speaker 7: I am speechless. I got the number. We're good.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Wow. So they're torturing this dude online. They were like,
- 20:38Speaker 1: if this were a woman doing it, this is so
- 20:41Speaker 1: everybody needs to relax.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:43Speaker 1: One, she could have just said no. She could have
- 20:47Speaker 1: just said no, I don't want to give my number.
- 20:50Speaker 8: Do you think she felt pressured to give him the number?
- 20:52Speaker 1: It been funny if she just said no, right, yeah,
- 20:54Speaker 1: that would Yeah.
- 20:55Speaker 5: I think she really wanted to give him the number
- 20:57Speaker 5: because she was like, oh, they want to they want
- 20:59Speaker 5: you to get my number.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Yeah. There there was definitely some flirtation happening there. Uh people. Yeah,
- 21:03Speaker 1: the internet was just all pissed off about it. A
- 21:06Speaker 1: good job dude, Well he he didn't do anything. His
- 21:09Speaker 1: guys convinced it. He was going to do nothing. He
- 21:11Speaker 1: sounds like to me when I was doing I don't
- 21:13Speaker 1: what to do.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Yeah, he sounded awkward.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Yes, and they were, and he was like, well, they
- 21:18Speaker 1: want me to do this and.
- 21:20Speaker 8: That was a riveting interview too.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Yes, but they were The Internet was crushing on me.
- 21:26Speaker 1: It's like, guys, relaxed, nobody got hurt. Yeah, it's fun.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Nothing sexist happened.
- 21:30Speaker 8: And I enjoyed listening to that hilarious.
- 21:34Speaker 1: So okay, that's that. I just wanted it to be
- 21:36Speaker 1: known that I do not side with the Internet with
- 21:38Speaker 1: pitchforks that are like if a woman did this, or
- 21:40Speaker 1: this is sexist or not let people have fun. She
- 21:44Speaker 1: did not have to give him her number, and who
- 21:47Speaker 1: knows that was the right number.
- 21:48Speaker 8: Right, So we get a follow up next game.
- 21:52Speaker 1: We have our hottest takes coming up in a second,
- 21:54Speaker 1: and we're going to play name name where the university is. Like,
- 21:58Speaker 1: I'll give you a town, you tell me the university, right,
- 22:00Speaker 1: And he's been sucking at Parlay's I'm so bad, dude,
- 22:03Speaker 1: you missed another one.
- 22:04Speaker 8: I missed another one, and I miss a lot.
- 22:05Speaker 1: But I just say it's kind of out. I just
- 22:08Speaker 1: want you to join the team.
- 22:09Speaker 5: Well, call me out because even my personal bets, I'm
- 22:12Speaker 5: just cold, man, Like, I haven't hit anything after the Masters,
- 22:16Speaker 5: I couldn't hit anything.
- 22:17Speaker 1: The twenty five whistles Parlay on Draft Kings, So heat
- 22:22Speaker 1: at Hawks. How about Trey Young? First he nutmeg the guy,
- 22:25Speaker 1: but he already got in trouble once for not throwing
- 22:27Speaker 1: the ref the ball. But then he chunked the ball
- 22:28Speaker 1: at the ref two. Yes, then he got the second
- 22:31Speaker 1: technical and he was out.
- 22:33Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 22:34Speaker 1: He does look like a child, he Yeah, but it's
- 22:37Speaker 1: always how good he plays versus how childish he is.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Had they won that game, it'd have been like, that's
- 22:43Speaker 1: kind of baller. Yeah. And you know when he wins
- 22:45Speaker 1: in New York and he does the bout like that's
- 22:46Speaker 1: always cool when you win. When you do stupid crap
- 22:49Speaker 1: and you lose, you look twelve. Yeah, it's baller if
- 22:52Speaker 1: you do it when you win, you look like a child.
- 22:54Speaker 1: If you do it when you lose.
- 22:55Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 22:56Speaker 8: For the refs though, they're like, literally, hey, just give
- 22:58Speaker 8: me the ball.
- 22:59Speaker 3: What doing here?
- 23:01Speaker 1: So it's the Heat minus one and a half at
- 23:04Speaker 1: the Hawks. I'm just gonna go anti Trey Young. I'm
- 23:08Speaker 1: gonna go Heat minus one and a half.
- 23:09Speaker 8: We're protar.
- 23:11Speaker 1: The grizz are six and a half point favorites in Memphis.
- 23:15Speaker 1: You don't, okay, great, then we'll go with the Mavericks
- 23:17Speaker 1: plus six and a half. That's Eddie's pick on that.
- 23:19Speaker 8: Oh great, cold cold Eddie's pick. Yeah, freezing Eddie. Yeah.
- 23:24Speaker 1: So we'll do those two and then let's go over
- 23:29Speaker 1: to eighteen and a half for heating Hawks. I like that,
- 23:31Speaker 1: So we'll go heat minus one and a half and
- 23:35Speaker 1: over to eighteen point five, and then we'll go Mavericks
- 23:38Speaker 1: plus six and a half. That's what happens. Download the

- 24:21Speaker 1: So I gave everybody the task of giving me their
- 24:23Speaker 1: best hot take today at four four hot takes. Well,
- 24:27Speaker 1: that's why I did it, because I had four and
- 24:28Speaker 1: I was like, all my takes are so hot, I
- 24:30Speaker 1: need some company.
- 24:31Speaker 5: Oh wow, I had a hard time finding mine. But
- 24:34Speaker 5: I got a good one though. And it's gonna make
- 24:36Speaker 5: me sound old, but I got a good one.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Okay. Most hot takes do make you sound at least
- 24:40Speaker 1: me may make me sound out of touch because I'm
- 24:42Speaker 1: so hot.
- 24:42Speaker 8: Yeah, you can go first.
- 24:43Speaker 1: What's your hot take?
- 24:44Speaker 8: All right? Yeah, I got you.
- 24:45Speaker 5: Money is ruining sports, and we saw it, you know
- 24:48Speaker 5: with the Masters. Look once it happened with PGA and
- 24:52Speaker 5: Live Live. All these golfers decided to go for the money,
- 24:56Speaker 5: right and they went to Live. Now they can't even
- 24:59Speaker 5: contend with the PGA players like Dave Schambeau cracked like
- 25:02Speaker 5: a baby.
- 25:03Speaker 8: He was terrible. John Rahm was there somewhere. Everyone else
- 25:06Speaker 8: they were terrible.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I don't think that that's so hot about LIV. I
- 25:11Speaker 1: think they're playing these fifty four hole tournaments. They're not
- 25:15Speaker 1: having to play that much. They're making all this money.
- 25:17Speaker 1: I think that just human nature, like they're not having
- 25:21Speaker 1: to grind as hard, consistently constantly. Therefore, when it's time
- 25:25Speaker 1: to grind to the pressure hits because there is no
- 25:27Speaker 1: pressure really playing with LIV. You're getting paid anyway, exactly
- 25:30Speaker 1: that that does affect them. Now overall, I'd like to
- 25:33Speaker 1: hear more, which is in general about the money thing
- 25:35Speaker 1: running sports.
- 25:36Speaker 5: Yes, so that's the masters, right March madness, what happened
- 25:39Speaker 5: there with nil? I mean now, March madness the first
- 25:42Speaker 5: two days of the tournament or the first two rounds
- 25:45Speaker 5: of the tournament, they're just trash man, because the schools
- 25:48Speaker 5: with all.
- 25:48Speaker 8: The money dominate.
- 25:50Speaker 5: Now, little McNeice was the only one that was a
- 25:53Speaker 5: kind of a shocker. Everyone else, dude, And why because
- 25:56Speaker 5: money is ruining sports.
- 25:58Speaker 8: Look at my Dallas Cowboys. What happened to them? All
- 26:01Speaker 8: the money in the world, give it all to the quarterback.
- 26:03Speaker 1: We suck.
- 26:05Speaker 8: Money is ruining sports.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I'd like to meet it.
- 26:11Speaker 8: But do you agree with it?
- 26:12Speaker 1: No? No, no, I think money actually makes sports a
- 26:14Speaker 1: lot better because great athletes then decide to pursue this job.
- 26:20Speaker 5: Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah, in order for yeah, we
- 26:23Speaker 5: are the best athletes in sports.
- 26:25Speaker 1: I would be like, if you paid teachers a million
- 26:26Speaker 1: dollars a year, you would have freaking doctors going. I'd
- 26:29Speaker 1: rather just be an English teacher because I'm making a
- 26:31Speaker 1: million bucks a year, so it draws the best, right, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 26:34Speaker 1: I think, But though this has been an argument since
- 26:36Speaker 1: players have started to be paid period.
- 26:39Speaker 8: So now they're really getting paid.
- 26:41Speaker 1: But they've said that every time since professional sports has
- 26:43Speaker 1: existed and lockouts have existed, and contracts have existed, and
- 26:48Speaker 1: public contracts have existed, this has been the argument. And
- 26:52Speaker 1: it's just a different generation. You are the new generation
- 26:55Speaker 1: of well that ain't country, because the last that was
- 26:59Speaker 1: my countries, steel guitar and fiddle. But then when that
- 27:02Speaker 1: was it, there was a version of that that I
- 27:04Speaker 1: was like, well, that ain't country.
- 27:05Speaker 8: That so I hate that guy too. I think, yeah,
- 27:09Speaker 8: I don't want to be that guy.
- 27:10Speaker 1: But I do think there are parts of professional sports
- 27:17Speaker 1: that at times could feel like we're less attached to
- 27:23Speaker 1: them because of money. But I think our parents and
- 27:25Speaker 1: our grandparents felt the same way as players started to
- 27:27Speaker 1: get paid. More Wise, I think they became less interested
- 27:30Speaker 1: as their version of sports was getting farther from what
- 27:33Speaker 1: they grew up watching.
- 27:35Speaker 5: Like I think we get the prime athletes because of money,
- 27:38Speaker 5: Like you said, yeah, they go from like little you know,
- 27:42Speaker 5: little league players to like I'm going to chase my
- 27:44Speaker 5: dreams to go to the major leagues. Then once they
- 27:46Speaker 5: get there and they sign that big contract. It's like
- 27:49Speaker 5: laid back, enjoy the money. We saw it with Connor McGregor.
- 27:52Speaker 5: He was scrappy, he was a fighter, he was hungry.
- 27:55Speaker 5: Then he started winning got paid. Now he can't fight.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I think that's just human nature though for some, but
- 28:00Speaker 1: I think for others it doesn't matter how much money
- 28:02Speaker 1: you have. Like a Tom Brady had all the money
- 28:04Speaker 1: in the world, but had like an insatiable will to
- 28:07Speaker 1: win and be the greatest.
- 28:08Speaker 8: That's true.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Michael Jordan had all the money in the world. So
- 28:11Speaker 1: Lebron much like in the capitalist world we live in,
- 28:16Speaker 1: there are some guys that get to be the CEO
- 28:18Speaker 1: and they're like, dude, I'm crushing it. I'm just gonna
- 28:21Speaker 1: chill back. And there are some guys who want to
- 28:22Speaker 1: be the greatest CEO in the company's history, or they
- 28:25Speaker 1: want to be the CEO of Coke or Apple. So
- 28:28Speaker 1: but you're feeling more distanced from how you like sports
- 28:33Speaker 1: when you were a kid, because.
- 28:35Speaker 8: Well, I didn't really even know about money when I
- 28:36Speaker 8: was a kid.
- 28:37Speaker 1: I guess you're learning about But that's the same way
- 28:39Speaker 1: that our parents and our grandparents did.
- 28:41Speaker 5: It's also like the it's also the headline too, right,
- 28:43Speaker 5: like when like the Masters, the one of the biggest
- 28:46Speaker 5: news stories is like how much did everyone make? Because
- 28:48Speaker 5: we want to know how much there's some infatuation of
- 28:51Speaker 5: how much does everyone make? When a big contract is signed,
- 28:54Speaker 5: we need to know how much money they're getting.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Yeah, that's always happened, but now there's just more places
- 28:58Speaker 1: to read the headline because there's social media, there's the Internet.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Otherwise you had to wait on Sports Center before Sports
- 29:02Speaker 1: Center was just like maybe the newspaper would report Dave
- 29:04Speaker 1: Winfield's contract.
- 29:06Speaker 8: Never saw that as a kid.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Yeah, so I don't think you're wrong for feeling that way,
- 29:10Speaker 1: but it's always been exactly that way.
- 29:13Speaker 6: And then your kids are going to complain about it
- 29:14Speaker 6: in twenty years. Yeah, it's just a cycle. I'm getting
- 29:17Speaker 6: to that age now. I'm like dang Kevin Hoteke.
- 29:20Speaker 3: Yeah, mine is. I learned some of the Masters.
- 29:22Speaker 6: Well one Roy finally got over the hump, but two
- 29:25Speaker 6: we talked about a little bit on the episode earlier
- 29:28Speaker 6: that cell phones need to be banned in more sporting events.
- 29:32Speaker 6: And I'll take it even further and say concerts, because
- 29:34Speaker 6: there was a concert last week and I know somebody
- 29:36Speaker 6: that went and they were saying, all these people were
- 29:39Speaker 6: doing was filming on their phones and we're all guilty
- 29:41Speaker 6: of it. I do it too, But then, do you
- 29:43Speaker 6: ever a sporting event, not in concert, whatever it is,
- 29:46Speaker 6: ever really go back and watch.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Those I'd like to meet you, Okay, I would say
- 29:52Speaker 1: most people that record on their phones don't go back
- 29:54Speaker 1: to watch it. They're posting it on social media. They're
- 29:56Speaker 1: more recording it so they can say they were there
- 29:59Speaker 1: and so they can post it on on their Instagram story,
- 30:01Speaker 1: their TikTok, and they're probably doing it a bunch of times,
- 30:04Speaker 1: only posting a few of the clips. But rarely, if ever,
- 30:08Speaker 1: do people actually go back and rewatch the concert on
- 30:10Speaker 1: their phone. So I'm gonna say mostly it's for people
- 30:13Speaker 1: social media clout more than it is for them to
- 30:15Speaker 1: go back and rewatch it. Secondly, that's old. You're an
- 30:19Speaker 1: old person. That's okay, we're getting older. But I also
- 30:26Speaker 1: I don't want to not have my phone in case
- 30:27Speaker 1: like somebody text me egency. Yeah, I don't mind people
- 30:30Speaker 1: having pages. Nobody has exactly I understand, but it doesn't
- 30:37Speaker 1: bother me when someone else records the whole concert, because
- 30:39Speaker 1: it's not me, who don't care what they do with
- 30:41Speaker 1: their time. You want to record the show, cool, as
- 30:43Speaker 1: long as you're not in my way, As long as
- 30:44Speaker 1: your phone's not in front of my face, record the
- 30:46Speaker 1: whole thing. Yeah, I don't have a problem with phones.
- 30:49Speaker 3: Then you think it was cool though the Masters and
- 30:51Speaker 3: like you see, these old.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Pops hated it when I was there and there were
- 30:54Speaker 1: no phones. But it is cool because no one has
- 30:56Speaker 1: their phone up. But I don't think it's so. But
- 31:00Speaker 1: the Masters is old, it's built in tradition. It's not
- 31:02Speaker 1: like they're going, hey, we've been thinking about this and
- 31:05Speaker 1: we're going to go no phones. They've just not allowed it.
- 31:07Speaker 1: But also they didn't allow black people are women either
- 31:09Speaker 1: for a long time.
- 31:10Speaker 8: And that's not good.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I'm not comparing Celfy.
- 31:14Speaker 1: I think you are. I think what you're saying is
- 31:17Speaker 1: what do they do with your phones? You can either
- 31:19Speaker 1: one leave them at home, which is what most people do,
- 31:22Speaker 1: leave in the car, or or there's a place you
- 31:24Speaker 1: can put on. No, trust you, if they see one,
- 31:29Speaker 1: you're automatically out.
- 31:31Speaker 8: Dang. So what if like your the phones in your pockets.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Like you can't do you cannot my gosh, that's creat
- 31:38Speaker 1: leaving it, you know. And at this point, again it's
- 31:40Speaker 1: been a long time since I've been. But there were
- 31:43Speaker 1: no detector. I don't know if now they have detective
- 31:46Speaker 1: metal detectors are like, oh, you got a phone in your
- 31:47Speaker 1: barb I don't. I don't know that. So but my
- 31:53Speaker 1: experience has been they don't go into your pockets. You
- 31:57Speaker 1: go in, but if they see one, you're out of
- 31:59Speaker 1: there and you just lost outands of dollars, no man
- 32:02Speaker 1: and an experience, and you lose your pass. If you
- 32:04Speaker 1: have three days, you don't go get to go back.
- 32:05Speaker 1: You're done. So no one brings the phone. But I
- 32:09Speaker 1: hear you. I mean, I think you have everybody to
- 32:10Speaker 1: think that.
- 32:11Speaker 8: And then we're old, but we have every right.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Okay, I have four, let's go. I think Barry Bonds
- 32:18Speaker 1: was better at baseball than Michael Jordan was in basketball.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Oh and really yeah, okay, they wouldn't even pitch to Bonds.
- 32:26Speaker 1: And if tell you why this comes to my mind.
- 32:28Speaker 1: My brother in law, DJ coaches on the Arkansas softball team.
- 32:31Speaker 1: He's assistant coach. He's a hitting coach, and they are
- 32:32Speaker 1: hitting better than they've ever hit. Like the history of
- 32:34Speaker 1: the program. They have one girl. She plays first base,
- 32:37Speaker 1: names Briella. She's a senior. She's batting five hundred. They
- 32:40Speaker 1: don't even pitch to her. And she went one of
- 32:42Speaker 1: the games a few games ago. She didn't have a
- 32:45Speaker 1: single at bat, meaning an official at bat, because they
- 32:49Speaker 1: either walked her hit her every time. And I remember
- 32:51Speaker 1: that happened to Barry Bonds all the time. There would
- 32:53Speaker 1: be the bases loaded. There will be times would intentionally
- 32:56Speaker 1: walk Barry Bonds with the bases loaded and give up
- 32:58Speaker 1: a run so he wouldn't come up and hit a slam.
- 33:00Speaker 8: But was this when he was loaded?
- 33:02Speaker 1: But it doesn't matter. That doesn't help you hit the ball.
- 33:04Speaker 3: That's good.
- 33:05Speaker 1: It helps you bounce back in recovery. But Barry Bonds
- 33:07Speaker 1: would have made the Hall of Fame pre steroids.
- 33:09Speaker 5: Yeah, but you can't do that because the steroids ruined
- 33:12Speaker 5: all that. Like, yes, he was on track to do that.
- 33:16Speaker 1: No, no, no, he would have made the Hall of
- 33:17Speaker 1: Fame had he died before he ever took a steroid.
- 33:21Speaker 1: He was so good that before his steroid history started.
- 33:27Speaker 1: From what we've read a cored documents alcohol all that.
- 33:29Speaker 1: When you've seen a baseball card. You can see when
- 33:31Speaker 1: he was playing with the Pirates, him and Bobby Benia,
- 33:34Speaker 1: Andy Van Sly like like all those guys. No steroids
- 33:38Speaker 1: he his dad's there would have put him in the
- 33:40Speaker 1: Hall of Fame. And steroids don't help handae coordination, basically
- 33:44Speaker 1: what his steroids were doing if they were, because he
- 33:47Speaker 1: was never found guilty of steroids, like he never lost.
- 33:52Speaker 8: Yeah, but he can't be in the Hall of Fame.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Because they're right, he'll eventually get in the Hall. I
- 33:55Speaker 1: think so, yes, And I think he was better at
- 33:57Speaker 1: baseball than Michael Jordan was a basket ball hot take
- 34:00Speaker 1: because of the way people treated him. They would not
- 34:03Speaker 1: pitch to it were they wouldn't even len him playing
- 34:05Speaker 1: games although he was in the game.
- 34:07Speaker 6: I'm trying to think of there's like an alternate version
- 34:09Speaker 6: in basketball where you could like not have hit Michael
- 34:12Speaker 6: have the ball, but you put three people on him
- 34:15Speaker 6: and then leave two guys open.
- 34:17Speaker 8: Or they wouldn't. They can't do that.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Yeah, So Barry Bonds better at baseball than Michael Jordan
- 34:23Speaker 1: was at basketball. That's hot as f that's so hard.
- 34:30Speaker 8: I see you. I don't agree, but I see you.
- 34:32Speaker 1: I don't know how you wouldn't agree.
- 34:33Speaker 5: I just I mean, Michael Jordan is the goat I've
- 34:36Speaker 5: never seen basketball, but I've never seen Barry Bonds as
- 34:39Speaker 5: the goat of baseball.
- 34:41Speaker 1: He is, he is to go to baseball. He's the
- 34:42Speaker 1: greatest hitter of all time.
- 34:43Speaker 8: Great Bambino.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Okay, next up. Lebron James is the greatest basketball player ever.
- 34:50Speaker 1: But he's not the most important player ever, which is
- 34:52Speaker 1: Michael Jordan. But I think Lebron is the greatest basketball
- 34:55Speaker 1: player ever because of everything he can do. He can score,
- 35:00Speaker 1: He's not even he has an all time score scoring lead, right, yeah, greakareem. Yeah,
- 35:05Speaker 1: He's not even a score first guy. He's a pass
- 35:09Speaker 1: first guy. So you want to play point guard, no problem.
- 35:13Speaker 1: You want to play the five, no problem. He can score,
- 35:17Speaker 1: he can pass, he can rebound. To have that size body,
- 35:21Speaker 1: do that many things. To have that much pressure on
- 35:24Speaker 1: you as a high schooler, you're on the cover of
- 35:26Speaker 1: freaking Sports Illustrated as a high schooler. There's no way
- 35:29Speaker 1: he could have met the expectations that were put onto him,
- 35:32Speaker 1: except he did. And more Also, Michael Jordan never won
- 35:36Speaker 1: a title until Scotty Pippen came along. They sucked. Yeah,
- 35:39Speaker 1: so it wasn't that Scottie Pippen like just added but.
- 35:42Speaker 3: Didn't he need Dwayne and Chris Bosh.
- 35:45Speaker 1: But he won without him too. Yeah, Kyrie Irving, he
- 35:47Speaker 1: won without him. I mean, Michael Jordan never won without
- 35:50Speaker 1: his group. I'm not even taking anything away from Jordan,
- 35:53Speaker 1: but Lebron also look at the longevity. At the guy.
- 35:55Speaker 8: He's still doing it.
- 35:56Speaker 1: He's forty, and people will be like, well, yeah, he's
- 35:58Speaker 1: played so much more. Part of being a world class
- 36:03Speaker 1: successful One of the greats is how long you can
- 36:05Speaker 1: actually play.
- 36:06Speaker 8: You don't think Jordan would have wanted to play longer.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't. There are guys that have played three
- 36:09Speaker 1: or four year Bo Jackson, Yeah you can't go not
- 36:12Speaker 1: Bo Jackson's the greatest of all time. No, he got hurt.
- 36:14Speaker 1: He blew out his hip, therefore he couldn't play anymore.
- 36:17Speaker 1: That's a part of it. So Lebron James is the
- 36:20Speaker 1: greatest player ever, but he's not the most important because
- 36:22Speaker 1: it was Michael Jordan who made basketball transcended it was
- 36:26Speaker 1: He's the most famous athlete of our lifetime. So greatest,
- 36:31Speaker 1: but not most important. And those are two different things.
- 36:33Speaker 8: But four MJ basketball was like no, because the Lakers.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Kind of until burd and Magic. Bird and Magic were
- 36:41Speaker 1: the first pop culture basketball stars, and from Bird and
- 36:46Speaker 1: Magic they elevated the game drastically. Yeah, one because they
- 36:50Speaker 1: were both great, but they had a rivalry in college
- 36:54Speaker 1: and then all the way through the pros because they
- 36:55Speaker 1: played for the two rivals across the country and two.
- 36:58Speaker 1: So yes, that's set up Jordan, But you really can't
- 37:03Speaker 1: set up the greatest of all time to be the
- 37:04Speaker 1: greatest of all time. He had to do it. So
- 37:07Speaker 1: Jordan is the greatest of all time, as in the
- 37:09Speaker 1: most important of all time, but not the best player
- 37:11Speaker 1: of all time.
- 37:11Speaker 8: And now his legacy will live on forever with his shoes.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Oh he's made a billion dollars. Yeah, Lebron James the
- 37:16Speaker 1: greatest of all time? Jordan, most important of all time?
- 37:20Speaker 1: What I would even say, Like if it comes to
- 37:23Speaker 1: hip hop, and there are many arguments about who the
- 37:25Speaker 1: most the greatest is and most important, but I don't
- 37:29Speaker 1: think the greatest rapper is the most important rapper. I
- 37:31Speaker 1: think the most important rapper is Tupac culturally, but I
- 37:35Speaker 1: don't think he's the greatest. Like even if you compare Tupac.
- 37:38Speaker 1: And again, here's just a white guy talking right who
- 37:40Speaker 1: is a fan of hip hop but not a student
- 37:42Speaker 1: of hip hop. I would say Biggie was a better
- 37:44Speaker 1: rapper than Tupac because Biggie's style was so different, his
- 37:50Speaker 1: cadence was so different. Well, Tupacs wasn't as much, but
- 37:53Speaker 1: Tupac culturally changed hip hop way more. Yeah still, okay,
- 37:58Speaker 1: I got two more, come on. The transfer portal has
- 38:02Speaker 1: made college football way more fun to watch, but way
- 38:05Speaker 1: less meaningful to root for. And here's what I'll say.
- 38:09Speaker 1: It's made football more fun to watch because we now
- 38:12Speaker 1: watch now we're talking about players leaving now, and it
- 38:17Speaker 1: sucks that it's one year. And I'm not saying that
- 38:21Speaker 1: the transfer portal as is is awesome because it sucks balls.
- 38:25Speaker 1: It sucks balls that players can leave after one year.
- 38:27Speaker 1: But what makes it fun is we're now talking about
- 38:30Speaker 1: college football like or college basketball like offseason, like the
- 38:35Speaker 1: draft during when it's not happening, we're still talking about it.
- 38:41Speaker 1: It's made us care way more for longer, even though
- 38:44Speaker 1: it's annoying. In principle, if they change the portal, you
- 38:48Speaker 1: can only transfer once, and these contracts were two years
- 38:52Speaker 1: in AOL you would go, oh, yeah, this is awesome.
- 38:57Speaker 1: The portal, you only get to do it one but
- 38:58Speaker 1: we still care all the time, as you'd wonder if
- 39:00Speaker 1: you're guy leaving, who are you getting and.
- 39:03Speaker 3: If you had one year left, like you got one
- 39:04Speaker 3: more year the basket approve ye look, yeah.
- 39:06Speaker 1: So I think the portal makes football more entertaining for longer,
- 39:12Speaker 1: but it makes it way less meaningful at times, root
- 39:15Speaker 1: for because you don't have a relationship with the players anymore.
- 39:18Speaker 1: I think both can be true, and that's.
- 39:19Speaker 6: Kind of where basketball has been for the last fifteen
- 39:22Speaker 6: years or so now, right, So you think football is
- 39:24Speaker 6: kind of getting there in the sense of like growing
- 39:26Speaker 6: up watching basketball, like you watch these guys stay for
- 39:28Speaker 6: two three years and then you watch them groom into
- 39:30Speaker 6: the NBA and you like them. But nowadays with football
- 39:33Speaker 6: and basketball, it's like, well I like so and so,
- 39:35Speaker 6: but then he's gonna go over here, and I don't
- 39:36Speaker 6: like that teams, I don't like him anymore, And that's
- 39:38Speaker 6: what's annoying.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Basketball is having a really hard time with that for
- 39:41Speaker 1: two reasons. One, because the player can go one and done.
- 39:43Speaker 1: We don't have a relationship with them if they come
- 39:45Speaker 1: for one year. That's a big part of it. And
- 39:46Speaker 1: too they're bouncing all over the place, so you never
- 39:48Speaker 1: have a relationship. But most guys that are going to
- 39:52Speaker 1: go to the draft anyway are going to be freshmen
- 39:53Speaker 1: and some sophomore. But we do if they're on our
- 39:59Speaker 1: team for more than a year, where like that's our guy. Yeah,
- 40:02Speaker 1: and that doesn't happen as much. So it does, but football,
- 40:06Speaker 1: the transferring sucks. But football, at least you have to
- 40:11Speaker 1: play for three or really you have to exist for
- 40:12Speaker 1: three years because you can red shirt them play two
- 40:15Speaker 1: true in football, I feel like the portal's a bit different.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Most of the guys portal. Most of the guys portaling
- 40:22Speaker 1: in football that's not a quarterback are players who aren't
- 40:24Speaker 1: getting playing time. It kind of suck. I feel like
- 40:26Speaker 1: basketball is way more of a shop in themselves. If
- 40:28Speaker 1: they're good, they're just shopping themselves. Straight up. That's not happening.
- 40:32Speaker 1: It's happening, it's but not happening as much in football
- 40:34Speaker 1: because there's too many positions. Yeah, basketball, it's harder. You
- 40:40Speaker 1: got a nine man rotation. In football you have twenty
- 40:43Speaker 1: two starters in then a full fifteen that are playing
- 40:49Speaker 1: a bunch of minutes every game. So yeah, yeah, a
- 40:52Speaker 1: bit different for the same for basketball.
- 40:55Speaker 5: Do you think for coaches in basketball do you think
- 40:58Speaker 5: it's more of a nightmare the portal.
- 40:59Speaker 1: Absolutely, it's a night and then it is, yes, okay,
- 41:02Speaker 1: because there's no regulation. I think it could be a
- 41:04Speaker 1: lot better if they had a one transfer rule. You're
- 41:08Speaker 1: talking about if NBA coaches, well, it's EuroLeague. It's what
- 41:10Speaker 1: they do in Europe. They get to go every year
- 41:12Speaker 1: in new contract somewhere else. All yeah, all these teams,
- 41:15Speaker 1: they've known that. It's always been that way. It's a
- 41:18Speaker 1: nightmare for coaches, but it's why these coaches are leaving.
- 41:21Speaker 1: It's why Saban is like I'm out, Virginia coach out,
- 41:25Speaker 1: we could do six of these. Yes, it's a nightmare,
- 41:28Speaker 1: but I don't think at first it was a nightmare.
- 41:30Speaker 1: It was like, oh, this is really great, but it's
- 41:35Speaker 1: gotten so out of control that it's terrible. But it
- 41:37Speaker 1: will get great again once they have some regulation, because
- 41:40Speaker 1: I do think kit should be able to transfer.
- 41:42Speaker 8: But once one time that one and Dune.
- 41:46Speaker 5: It's got to be hard for basketball coaches because you
- 41:48Speaker 5: can't build a team like basketball is such a team
- 41:51Speaker 5: sport where like you want to get that communication with
- 41:53Speaker 5: your five guys, but one year you have it, the
- 41:56Speaker 5: next year it's start all over.
- 41:57Speaker 1: The difference, though, I'd meet you there, is that if
- 41:59Speaker 1: you've got a one and done, they are so freaking
- 42:02Speaker 1: elite at their position they're they're at playing basketball, that
- 42:05Speaker 1: they're going to come in and be worth it. I mean,
- 42:07Speaker 1: you saw Calipari. There are certain coaches Duke did it
- 42:09Speaker 1: for a long time where they're like, we're going in
- 42:11Speaker 1: on one and done's because they're so good. We're gonna
- 42:14Speaker 1: go with talent first, chemistry second because they're so good.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Kyrie Tatum, all these guys, Yeah want and done. So
- 42:21Speaker 1: you want those guys regardless regardless of chemistry. You want
- 42:24Speaker 1: those guys.
- 42:24Speaker 6: And then you hope you have like those three or
- 42:26Speaker 6: four stars that have been there for a couple of
- 42:27Speaker 6: years to kind of hold the chemistry together.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Thirty three yeld Brook later, you know, sent around for
- 42:31Speaker 1: a bit. And then finally, this is just more of
- 42:34Speaker 1: a general one. If you're flexing, how busy you always
- 42:36Speaker 1: are all the time, you're either bad at time management,
- 42:38Speaker 1: or you're just lying, or or I'll.
- 42:41Speaker 8: Meet you there or you have kids.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Oh, because you can have different thoughs and busy.
- 42:48Speaker 8: Well, no, that's my that's my response all the time.
- 42:50Speaker 8: I got yeah, but.
- 42:51Speaker 1: That's that's understandable. You're just not going like I'm so busy,
- 42:54Speaker 1: I'm so busy. Yeah, Like, busy's almost a brag nowadays.
- 42:58Speaker 1: I almost never talk about how busy.
- 43:00Speaker 8: You ever ever, and you're probably the most busiest person, Like, I.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Got stuff to do, I'm gonna get it done. I'm
- 43:04Speaker 1: but you're never gonna hear me being like yeah. You
- 43:06Speaker 1: guys have no idea what it's going to be busy.
- 43:08Speaker 5: So if someone asks you, like, hey, let's have a
- 43:11Speaker 5: late lunch at two o'clock, knowing you're gonna have a
- 43:14Speaker 5: podcast at two o'clock, you just tell them like, nah,
- 43:16Speaker 5: I can't do it, man, maybe next week or do either, Like,
- 43:18Speaker 5: can't do it too busy, I got a podcast.
- 43:20Speaker 1: I would never say too busy. I would say specifically
- 43:22Speaker 1: what it is at two pm? I'm not able to
- 43:24Speaker 1: do so because on this day I had this. That's it.
- 43:26Speaker 1: There's no overarching busy man.
- 43:28Speaker 8: I like saying business.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Let them like think what is he doing?
- 43:32Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 43:32Speaker 1: People always say I'm just so busy, like busy, busy, busy. Again,
- 43:36Speaker 1: they're either bad at time management or really not that
- 43:38Speaker 1: busy and they're just trying to flex on it.
- 43:39Speaker 6: And I feel like a lot of that too, is
- 43:40Speaker 6: also like filler, where they're just like it's almost like, hey,
- 43:42Speaker 6: you doing pretty good?
- 43:43Speaker 8: Are you?
- 43:44Speaker 3: You know where you're like, oh, I'm just busy, are you? Though?
- 43:47Speaker 1: Different busy? I don't think I ever meet that answer
- 43:50Speaker 1: with busy, like how's it going?
- 43:51Speaker 3: Busy?
- 43:52Speaker 8: Busy?
- 43:53Speaker 5: Well, sometimes I do, like I'll talk to other dads
- 43:55Speaker 5: or whatever and be like, how's everything going, man?
- 43:57Speaker 8: Busy, man, busy? But I was getting with a hey,
- 44:00Speaker 8: would you want to not be busy?
- 44:02Speaker 1: Could be worse? Yeah, I feel like that's a different
- 44:05Speaker 1: busy flag. That's a different I don't eve feel like
- 44:07Speaker 1: that's a flax. I feel like it's a filler. Yeah.
- 44:09Speaker 1: I feel like yeah, oh yeah, yeah, that's a good one.
- 44:11Speaker 1: I made like those are my sports ones. I have
- 44:13Speaker 1: other ones though, keep going man, Well some of our
- 44:17Speaker 1: music related, oh okay, Like a lot of artists, especially
- 44:22Speaker 1: I see on TikTok, they're not passionate about country music.
- 44:25Speaker 1: They're just passionate about becoming influencers, and they're just countries
- 44:27Speaker 1: the way they can get in the quickest, or they
- 44:30Speaker 1: feel that hot take hey, hot take that one. Dang
- 44:35Speaker 1: the easy one. And there's a few versions of this,
- 44:37Speaker 1: but people are like, I'm just being honest. It's just
- 44:40Speaker 1: one something people say before. They're just gonna be rude, right,
- 44:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna be on And two it's not even honesty.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Or when people go they tell it like it is.
- 44:50Speaker 1: What's happening is they're just actually saying something you like.
- 44:52Speaker 1: It's not that they're telling it like it is, like
- 44:54Speaker 1: I like that guy, tell it like it is. No, no, no, no,
- 44:57Speaker 1: that person just saying what you like. They're not telling
- 45:00Speaker 1: it like it is because they said something like it
- 45:02Speaker 1: is that you hated. You wouldn't be like that person
- 45:03Speaker 1: tells it like it is. No, they want to do that.
- 45:06Speaker 1: What about no offense that Yeah, that's gonna be a
- 45:08Speaker 1: that's gonna be a mean one.
- 45:09Speaker 3: I mean this in the nicest way.
- 45:11Speaker 8: Oh shut up, no you don't, but you're about to
- 45:13Speaker 8: make me mad.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Most people who say they hate country music never have
- 45:17Speaker 1: actually spend time listening to it. They've only heard like
- 45:20Speaker 1: the surface level worst version of it or the corniest
- 45:26Speaker 1: because at times when people will generalize country music, it'll
- 45:29Speaker 1: be the corny version of it. Yeah, it'll be the
- 45:32Speaker 1: cartoon character of it.
- 45:36Speaker 8: I usually send them a little Chris Stapleton. They say that, like, listen.
- 45:39Speaker 1: To this, Oh there's a ton country music, you know.
- 45:41Speaker 1: I think Americana's country music. I think that is.
- 45:43Speaker 6: And so that mean until about ten years ago, yeah, yes,
- 45:46Speaker 6: country music.
- 45:47Speaker 3: I didn't listen to any country because you.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Probably only knew the cartoon version of how bad the
- 45:52Speaker 1: cartoon version is, Yeah, but in reality, like there's a
- 45:56Speaker 1: lot of really great singer songwriters. Oh yeah, that's not
- 45:58Speaker 1: over highly overproduced whatever. Yeah, I had one other note
- 46:02Speaker 1: that wasn't a hot take, but I can give you this.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Have you guys seen the trend on TikTok where they
- 46:06Speaker 1: played Tears in Heaven over Mike, let me come to
- 46:08Speaker 1: You may have seen this though over people that if
- 46:11Speaker 1: they died, they died a long time ago. But what
- 46:13Speaker 1: they look like now, it's bizarre. It's so bizarre. Wait,
- 46:17Speaker 1: so you'll hear the guitar part of Tears in Heaven,
- 46:20Speaker 1: which is there at Clapton. I don't know if you
- 46:22Speaker 1: know the song, but he goes, would you.
- 46:23Speaker 4: Know my name?
- 46:25Speaker 1: If I saw you in heaven? So the whole song
- 46:29Speaker 1: that he wrote about his kid dying because this kid
- 46:30Speaker 1: fell out of a window on a high rise. The
- 46:33Speaker 1: guy that was cleaning the guay, that was cleaning the
- 46:35Speaker 1: glass glass left it unlocked. Kid goes and pushes on it,
- 46:39Speaker 1: falls out and dies. Eric Clapton writes, tears in heaven,
- 46:42Speaker 1: would it be the same if I saw you in heaven? Right?
- 46:45Speaker 1: And so they play that and then they show people
- 46:49Speaker 1: what they'd look like today had they not died a
- 46:50Speaker 1: long time ago.
- 46:51Speaker 8: That's so sad, it's so weird.
- 46:53Speaker 1: The person who popped up was Natalie Holloway as like
- 46:55Speaker 1: an adult, like a thirty eight year old adult, and
- 46:57Speaker 1: it's like Natalie Holloway and she's like almost forty, waving
- 46:59Speaker 1: at the camera.
- 47:01Speaker 8: How does she die? Hallow?
- 47:03Speaker 1: And on the Island, Jordan Vanderslute Jordan Mander, Yeah, Like,
- 47:07Speaker 1: I don't thought they were found her body, did they?
- 47:09Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 47:10Speaker 8: I don't like that.
- 47:11Speaker 1: They had they had Kaylee Anthony Casey, Anthony's kid, but
- 47:14Speaker 1: she's like seventeen or whatever. She's like, Hi, would it
- 47:18Speaker 1: be the same? Yeah, I don't like who started that
- 47:21Speaker 1: they have. I saw the Ultimate Warrior, the wrestler because
- 47:23Speaker 1: he died. I don't know google that, but it's him
- 47:29Speaker 1: now as an older man. But it's just dead people.
- 47:31Speaker 1: But them, were they what they'd look like today using
- 47:34Speaker 1: AI and tears and heaven?
- 47:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw them with Kurt Cobain was wild.
- 47:38Speaker 1: And he's like an old man. Yeah, it's bizarre and right.
- 47:42Speaker 1: I watched him, though, I'll be honest with you, I
- 47:43Speaker 1: didn't watch a couple of them all the way through,
- 47:45Speaker 1: and I was like, this is crazy. This is crazy.
- 47:46Speaker 1: And then I was just like why am I watching this?
- 47:48Speaker 6: That technology is crazy because some of them are just
- 47:50Speaker 6: picture just like them moving around and like, yeah, doing
- 47:52Speaker 6: things and reacting to things.
- 47:53Speaker 1: You're like, oh, that's weird.
- 47:54Speaker 3: Like Kurt Cobain looks like a dad.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Heart attack.
- 47:57Speaker 8: Heart attack.
- 47:58Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a lot of those wrestlers died heart attack
- 48:00Speaker 1: because not him specifically, not sure, but a lot of
- 48:03Speaker 1: them shoot take drugs, lash steroids.
- 48:05Speaker 5: I don't know, like if you would you want to
- 48:07Speaker 5: see one of those videos of like your mom, like
- 48:12Speaker 5: somebody that has died. Okay, so that's a literal question,
- 48:16Speaker 5: like a real question. I probably can make one.
- 48:20Speaker 8: But would you want to see that? And how would
- 48:22Speaker 8: that make you feel?
- 48:24Speaker 1: Like?
- 48:24Speaker 8: How would that make you feel?
- 48:27Speaker 1: I don't know that I care. Either way, it would
- 48:30Speaker 1: have made me feel weird. I don't know if it
- 48:32Speaker 1: made feel wird. I guess I need to do it.
- 48:33Speaker 1: I could probably plug it in and do one. I
- 48:35Speaker 1: wouldn't put it on TikTok, but I could take a
- 48:37Speaker 1: picture of my mom and go she was born on
- 48:39Speaker 1: this this picture was this year. What would she look like?
- 48:42Speaker 8: Now?
- 48:42Speaker 1: I mean, I'll do it right now.
- 48:43Speaker 5: No, no, do that on your own time right now.
- 48:47Speaker 8: No, man, I don't really want to be anyone.
- 48:50Speaker 5: Well, because I started thinking, like what I you know,
- 48:52Speaker 5: if I lost a family member, you know, like I
- 48:56Speaker 5: recently lost my dad, but that's that won't count.
- 48:57Speaker 8: But like if I lost.
- 48:58Speaker 1: He'd be like a month older, six months older.
- 49:00Speaker 5: But if I lost a child, like, you know, fifteen
- 49:03Speaker 5: years ago, like I don't know, I'd want to see that.
- 49:05Speaker 1: The hot take Eddie, I'm going to do my mom?
- 49:09Speaker 8: Oh bones, I don't know.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Man, you gave me the idea. Bro, So have you
- 49:14Speaker 1: done your animal made him look like a human? Hilarious?
- 49:19Speaker 1: Your pet. Yeah, Kaitlyn doing with Stanley and he's like
- 49:22Speaker 1: this fat, fat, balding guy who's sitting on the floor.
- 49:26Speaker 8: Does he look like Stanley at all from the office?
- 49:28Speaker 1: Yeah, no, he likes No, No, he looks like, oh he's
- 49:30Speaker 1: a white dude. Oh they take that. Yeah, come out
- 49:33Speaker 1: of an unexpected race.
- 49:34Speaker 8: Okay, Yeah, that's funny, Mike.
- 49:37Speaker 1: I'm going to do my mom.
- 49:39Speaker 8: What do you do? You asked chat GPTK.
- 49:42Speaker 1: This is my mom. Let's see what year was she born?
- 49:46Speaker 1: If I was born in eighty and she was exactly
- 49:50Speaker 1: sixteen years, so I'd be sixty Okay, sixty four. She
- 49:56Speaker 1: was born in nineteen sixty four, which that would have
- 50:01Speaker 1: made her. If I'm she'd be sixty one.
- 50:04Speaker 8: Now, dang, that's crazy.
- 50:08Speaker 1: Can you make this image into what she'd look like? Now?
- 50:16Speaker 8: All right, it's gonna be over here, man. Well, it's
- 50:21Speaker 8: do my thing.
- 50:23Speaker 1: It's getting started. Do you see my Instagram story of
- 50:25Speaker 1: me trying to build image for whistles?
- 50:27Speaker 3: That was funny. That was funny.
- 50:29Speaker 1: I couldn't quite get it right because chat GBT is
- 50:31Speaker 1: not always right about everything. Yeah, and when I do
- 50:33Speaker 1: something on it, I always have to go and just
- 50:35Speaker 1: make double check most of it, but yeah, it kind
- 50:38Speaker 1: of got there. Then it went off, I like Stephen Colbert,
- 50:41Speaker 1: and then the golf club is a magic.
- 50:42Speaker 3: Wand the glasses, the hair like just.
- 50:45Speaker 1: It's creating the image right now, as you can see.
- 50:48Speaker 1: So this was a picture of my.
- 50:50Speaker 8: Mom right there, and then that's what you gave it.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Uh huh, I said, here's a picture. She was born
- 50:59Speaker 1: in nineteen sixty four, she'd be sixty one today. Can
- 51:01Speaker 1: you make this image?
- 51:02Speaker 8: And how old was she when she passed?
- 51:05Speaker 1: Uh, forty seven? Okay, can you make this image into
- 51:10Speaker 1: what she looks like? Now? All right, it's in the
- 51:11Speaker 1: middle of it.
- 51:12Speaker 8: Oh well, it's almost done.
- 51:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not always exactly. No, let's mean creating image still.
- 51:23Speaker 8: I think, yeah, we'll just do it a lot quicker. Huh.
- 51:26Speaker 1: It does take a minute for them for the images.
- 51:28Speaker 5: But I do like how it makes it look like
- 51:30Speaker 5: it's a polaroid. We have to wait and shake it
- 51:31Speaker 5: a little bit. That's funny, blow on it because it
- 51:34Speaker 5: starts like, you know, a gray scale and mean slowly
- 51:38Speaker 5: becomes a picture.
- 51:39Speaker 1: This is kind of weird. It's kind of I mean,
- 51:45Speaker 1: is it done. It's eighty percent down. I guess I'll
- 51:48Speaker 1: let it finish up. Like, how do I feel about this?
- 51:53Speaker 1: It's kind of weird. It's also like, oh, man, that'd
- 51:57Speaker 1: be nice if she's still alive. But it's also like, oh,
- 52:01Speaker 1: that's cool, So that would be what AI said, she
- 52:06Speaker 1: would look like, Oh wow.
- 52:08Speaker 3: Dang wow. That's a clear picture.
- 52:10Speaker 8: It really is. Do you do you think she would
- 52:12Speaker 8: look like that?
- 52:14Speaker 1: I think that's a loaded question because she was really
- 52:17Speaker 1: bad with drugs and alcohol when she died. So if
- 52:20Speaker 1: you were to not have the drugs and alcohol, yes,
- 52:23Speaker 1: but she was having some real problems and I think
- 52:26Speaker 1: that ages you, and it was aging her like that.
- 52:29Speaker 1: Stuff's not like Met stuff. Met's bad news. But that's
- 52:32Speaker 1: that's weird. I mean, that's the picture.
- 52:34Speaker 8: Yeah. I don't like that trend, man, I.
- 52:37Speaker 1: Don't hate it. I'm telling you right now. It actually
- 52:39Speaker 1: brings I would say, goodish memories.
- 52:46Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, Now, I do like the ones where you know,
- 52:51Speaker 5: they show like an old World War two officer or
- 52:53Speaker 5: whatever with his girl and it turns that picture into life.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Have you seen that?
- 52:58Speaker 8: That's cool?
- 52:59Speaker 5: And then they start kissing and hey, you know they
- 53:00Speaker 5: smile at the camera like, yeah, that's pretty cool.
- 53:02Speaker 1: Hey, thanks for that, Eddie, thanks for making me do that.
- 53:05Speaker 8: No, No, I did not make you do that. Don't
- 53:07Speaker 8: put that on me.

- 55:00Speaker 1: Would you rather have the town it's you tell me
- 55:02Speaker 1: the school? That might be yeah?
- 55:03Speaker 8: I like that better.
- 55:04Speaker 1: That might be easier. I like it the other way.
- 55:06Speaker 1: That's harder. Why because then I got more of a chance.
- 55:09Speaker 1: You don't.
- 55:11Speaker 8: I don't think you do.
- 55:11Speaker 1: Okay, okay, University of Alabama. What town is it in?
- 55:18Speaker 1: I'm in you too, Go ahead, mister, I have a
- 55:22Speaker 1: chance me. Yeah, you know what it is? A test salusive?
- 55:25Speaker 1: It is good job, good job, good job, Kevin. Yeah,
- 55:29Speaker 1: test calusive, Casey calusive, Eddie TESCALUSI good. Let's try another one.
- 55:34Speaker 1: University of Kentucky.
- 55:39Speaker 8: I'm in Kevin's taking a while over there. I'm shocked.
- 55:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm shocked too for him. I know you're good. No,

- 56:01Speaker 8: Went on earth, University of Kentucky.
- 56:06Speaker 9: At the university all right, five seconds, guys, Oh oh yeah,
- 56:13Speaker 9: time alright, pens down, Kevin.
- 56:18Speaker 6: I think it's University Louisville in here, but I'm just
- 56:19Speaker 6: gonna say Louisville.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Casey Paduca read gang I said, Bowling Green.
- 56:28Speaker 5: My gosh, all los it's Lexington, of course, Kevin.
- 56:35Speaker 1: I am disappointed. I was trying to think of a
- 56:39Speaker 1: city in Kentucky.
- 56:43Speaker 3: Bowling Green was Western Kentucky, rememberhen we went there.
- 56:45Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why I knew there were sports there. Yeats
- 56:50Speaker 1: Sport Gonzaga.
- 56:55Speaker 3: I know the state.
- 56:57Speaker 1: I don't even know state.
- 57:01Speaker 8: H dude, I'm in.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Good zach mh. I think from now on, from here out,
- 57:13Speaker 1: we'll do eliminator style after this one. Okay, yeah good, Yeah,

- 57:47Speaker 1: the school. Tallahassee.
