- 1:26Dayna Roselli: We've been saying that for how long?
- 1:27Sean McAllister: I know for a lot at least five years, six years.
- 1:31Dayna Roselli: When's the year?
- 1:32Dayna Roselli: When is the year?
- 1:32Dayna Roselli: When will we have time for me to just I need to just bust into a place that does uh like one-offs where you just what do you call open mic?
- 1:40Sean McAllister: Open mic night, yeah.
- 1:41Dayna Roselli: And give it a try.
- 1:42Sean McAllister: I think you do.
- 1:43Sean McAllister: There's some good material.
- 1:44Sean McAllister: I've I've heard some of your material, you've tested it out, and I think it's funny.
- 1:49Sean McAllister: It makes me laugh.
- 1:50Dayna Roselli: Well, that's good because I'm around you all the time.
- 1:52Dayna Roselli: If you can make people that are around you all the time laugh, then you know it's really good because they've heard all your stuff before.
- 1:58Sean McAllister: Hey, this has been a busy week.
- 1:59Sean McAllister: There's been Cinco de Mayo, which fell on a Tuesday, so people were excited that Cinco de Mayo fell on Taco Tuesday.
- 2:06Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 2:07Dayna Roselli: Perfect combination.
- 2:08Sean McAllister: Right?
- 2:08Dayna Roselli: Uh-huh.
- 2:09Dayna Roselli: Then the Kentucky Derby, that was exciting.
- 2:11Sean McAllister: That was really exciting.
- 2:12Sean McAllister: That horse that came all the way from the back of the pack to win.
- 2:15Dayna Roselli: It's always great when they come from the back.
- 2:17Sean McAllister: It is because it's like the hype of oh, so exciting.
- 2:20Sean McAllister: It's such a short uh sporting event to begin with.
- 2:23Sean McAllister: What two minutes?
- 2:25Sean McAllister: And to have that level of excitement in the final seconds, it does.
- 2:31Sean McAllister: When you're in a room of people watching it, it gets crazy.
- 2:35Dayna Roselli: And as TV people, you and I, I always feel like right away I think, man, this is good TV.
- 2:40Sean McAllister: Absolutely, it is.
- 2:43Dayna Roselli: Uh, Vegas Golden Knights playoff watch parties have been all over.
- 2:46Dayna Roselli: We've been doing really well.
- 2:48Dayna Roselli: We advanced when this drops, we'll still be in round two.
- 2:51Sean McAllister: It'll be round two, yeah.
- 2:53Sean McAllister: Playing uh the Anaheim Ducks.
- 2:55Sean McAllister: We already finished off the Utah Mammoth.
- 2:57Sean McAllister: So we're on to the next round of playoffs.
- 3:00Sean McAllister: Hopefully we make it through.
- 3:02Sean McAllister: I think I think uh we have Wild Bill Carlson, William Carlson back on the roster after an injury.
- 3:09Sean McAllister: So exciting.
- 3:11Sean McAllister: It is.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: Um, and I guess whatever anything else you've been celebrating lately.
- 3:15Dayna Roselli: I know people have been having babies, having birthdays, all that good stuff.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: Um, and Mother's Day's coming up this weekend, so it is for all the people who've been having babies.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, there you go.
- 3:25Dayna Roselli: Special Mother's Day.
- 3:27Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, we went to see Mary J Blige at Park MGM, Dolby Live, and uh, I think we thought we were gonna love it, and then but sometimes you go in and you think that, and you're like, oh, it was it was good.
- 3:40Dayna Roselli: This was fantastic, amazing.
- 3:43Sean McAllister: So Mary J obviously has such an incredible career.
- 3:48Sean McAllister: She has so many hits that when you go to one of her shows and she starts going through her her repertoire of music, you're like, damn, Mary is on fire.
- 4:01Sean McAllister: She's got hit after hit after hit.
- 4:04Sean McAllister: She owns the stage, she owns the audience.
- 4:08Sean McAllister: She was fantastic.
- 4:11Dayna Roselli: And I felt like the audience was great.
- 4:13Dayna Roselli: It was like, because actually, someone commented on our TikTok, like, how was the audience?
- 4:17Dayna Roselli: Like, was it chaos?
- 4:18Dayna Roselli: I'm like, no, people just had a good time, but everyone behaved.
- 4:22Dayna Roselli: They were standing up and singing the words and dancing around, and other people chose to sit for some of it.
- 4:28Dayna Roselli: I mean, it was like a great metered crowd just there to have fun and celebrate her music.
- 4:34Sean McAllister: But you could tell, uh, especially in our section, because you could really see the reaction of people up close.
- 4:42Sean McAllister: Yeah, you could tell that when certain songs came on, it brought people back to a certain time in their life.
- 4:51Sean McAllister: And a lot of people came with big groups with bunches of friends.
- 4:55Sean McAllister: So they were we there was an aisle right in front of us, and so people were up in their seats, they were running a few seats down to their friend, dancing with them.
- 5:05Sean McAllister: Their friend would come running over a few songs later, be dancing in the aisles.
- 5:10Sean McAllister: It was, I mean, the way that the crowd responded to the music and to Mary up on stage, go Mary, go Mary, go Mary.
- 5:20Sean McAllister: So good.
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: And I love that.
- 5:22Dayna Roselli: Um I this is a side note.
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: I love that Park MGM always does like a little photo area.
- 5:30Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 5:31Dayna Roselli: In the as you walk up, you know, in that area after the lobby.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: They have like that big chair that Mary sat in in the show.
- 5:38Dayna Roselli: And I was watching just for what you were saying, big groups of people come and all say, like, you take your turn, you take your turn, and take pictures, you know, in that area.
- 5:47Dayna Roselli: They do it for every show, no matter what.
- 5:48Dayna Roselli: New kids has one.
- 5:49Dayna Roselli: There was a Mariah.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: I mean, they always, I love that.
- 5:52Dayna Roselli: Um, but anyway, back to the show.
- 5:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, Method Man joined her on stage.
- 5:56Dayna Roselli: That was a surprise, and that was awesome.
- 5:58Dayna Roselli: Everyone was going crazy for that.
- 5:59Dayna Roselli: So we knew, we said, you know what?
- 6:01Dayna Roselli: This show has to have more dates because she's back this weekend and then she's coming back for a few dates in July.
- 6:07Dayna Roselli: And then breaking news, she has added shows in August, August 28th and 29th, September, the 2nd, 5th, and 6th, and October 23rd, 24th, 28th, 30, and 31.
- 6:19Dayna Roselli: We had a feeling that would happen.
- 6:20Sean McAllister: And I would not be the least bit shocked if she adds even more dates beyond fall of this year, because this is one of those shows that I I think is gonna keep like gaining more traction and having more buzz, more word of mouth.
- 6:40Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 6:40Sean McAllister: And just the thing that I love about Mary J.
- 6:44Sean McAllister: Blige is that she is unapologetically herself.
- 6:48Dayna Roselli: She really is.
- 6:48Sean McAllister: She is like, she gets up there, she's like, hey, world, this is me.
- 6:54Sean McAllister: Take me or leave me.
- 6:55Sean McAllister: I'm doing my thing, whether you like it or not.
- 6:58Sean McAllister: I hope you do.
- 6:59Sean McAllister: Come along for the ride because we're gonna have fun.
- 7:01Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 7:02Sean McAllister: But this is what it is.
- 7:04Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 7:04Sean McAllister: And I and she's amazing.
- 7:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:07Dayna Roselli: Real and her outfits were on point.
- 7:10Dayna Roselli: She put on a show.
- 7:11Dayna Roselli: The dancers were incredible, and a lot of them from Las Vegas love that she used Las Vegas dancers.
- 7:17Dayna Roselli: Um, I see all the dancers kind of cheering each other on in our posts, tagging, like, oh, that's that's so and so, that's so and so.
- 7:23Dayna Roselli: I just love it.
- 7:24Dayna Roselli: I love the camaraderie, all of it.
- 7:25Sean McAllister: Yeah, I mean, really, really great show.
- 7:28Sean McAllister: If you have a chance to go and see Mary J.
- 7:31Sean McAllister: Blige again, she's back this summer uh with shows into the fall through uh the end of October.
- 7:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and she's from the Bronx.
- 7:39Dayna Roselli: I was telling my mom's from the Bronx.
- 7:40Dayna Roselli: I said, Hey mom, Mary J's from the Bronx.
- 7:42Dayna Roselli: I said, Oh, because I was looking at the Wikipedia.
- 7:44Dayna Roselli: I was like, She was born at Fordham Hospital.
- 7:46Dayna Roselli: My mom's like, I think I was born there too.
- 7:48Dayna Roselli: And I was like, Oh, see, I have Mary J in my blood.
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: But um, it just a lot of people, you know, from that area that we've been seeing lately, like Cindy Lopper was saying, you know, she's from Brooklyn.
- 8:00Sean McAllister: Right.
- 8:00Dayna Roselli: And then we saw someone recently from Long Island.
- 8:02Dayna Roselli: I mean, there's just, you know, everyone's kind of comes from the East Coast and has so much success out here and love to see them performing out west here in Las Vegas.
- 8:12Dayna Roselli: Um, I did go to Best Friend at Park MGM after, and I've done this a few times, and I just I haven't been able to really talk about how I love that front bar area.
- 8:21Dayna Roselli: It is great for after shows because a lot of people lined up to go to on the record for the after party, but next to it is best friend, which is a restaurant, which is delicious, Korean food.
- 8:33Dayna Roselli: And the front bar area is not a part of the main dining room, and they have a great menu.
- 8:39Dayna Roselli: I think they had IPAs, I think Sean, for thirteen or thirteen dollars on the menu.
- 8:44Sean McAllister: That's not bad.
- 8:44Dayna Roselli: No, it was good and a lot of different cocktails, but it's fun because some people go from like the shows.
- 8:49Dayna Roselli: And so, like, we were sitting at the bar, like, you know, doing our like, you know, post-show recap with a bunch of strangers, you know, we were all talking about our favorite parts and and the bartenders, they're great.
- 9:00Dayna Roselli: They're into it, you know, they're recommending drinks, and we were like, oh, we want a little something.
- 9:05Dayna Roselli: The tacos are amazing on the bar menu, absolutely amazing.
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: Um, but he recommended this bowl and brought it out.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: He was like, Don't even, I know exactly what you want, and brought out, didn't even like question, just brought us out this bowl.
- 9:18Dayna Roselli: And I don't even know what was in there.
- 9:19Dayna Roselli: It was like a mango and rice and big chunks of beef and an egg on top.
- 9:23Dayna Roselli: It was delicious.
- 9:24Sean McAllister: That sounds good.
- 9:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:25Dayna Roselli: And then at the end of the night, we closed the place down.
- 9:28Dayna Roselli: Um, he actually cracked open two beers for us and was like, you know, you're here and the last one's here.
- 9:33Dayna Roselli: Here you go.
- 9:33Dayna Roselli: But it's a fun vibe and uh affordable in the bar area and a nice little hang.
- 9:38Dayna Roselli: So if you get the chance, I went to the restroom and I walked into the main dining room and I was like, wow, it's kind of like dark in there and full, full of people.
- 9:45Dayna Roselli: It's definitely a good vibe in there.
- 9:46Sean McAllister: It is.
- 9:47Sean McAllister: I've had dinner there before.
- 9:48Sean McAllister: It's been a couple years now.
- 9:50Sean McAllister: Um, but Roy Choi is the chef, yeah.
- 9:53Sean McAllister: And he's very well known for his kind of uh his take on street food, yeah.
- 10:00Sean McAllister: Really, yeah, uh, from LA.
- 10:02Sean McAllister: And so he brought that here with best friend.
- 10:05Sean McAllister: And but I haven't gone to uh hang out at the bar area.
- 10:08Sean McAllister: Yeah, I'm gonna have to put that on my list.
- 10:09Dayna Roselli: They have some high tops and then bar seats, and it's full enough, but never like so crazy that you can't get a seat, which is great.
- 10:17Dayna Roselli: And so I love it, it's just it's nice.
- 10:20Dayna Roselli: Um, so anyway, we had a great time at Mary J.
- 10:23Dayna Roselli: Blige.
- 10:23Dayna Roselli: Um wonderful at Park MGM.
- 10:25Dayna Roselli: Go see her.
- 10:27Sean McAllister: Hey, uh, we have some other show news.
- 10:29Sean McAllister: Broadway is coming back to the Las Vegas strip.
- 10:32Sean McAllister: Over the years, we have seen uh Broadway shows set up residency runs most recently.
- 10:38Sean McAllister: The show Six, um which is still playing on Broadway, uh played at the Venetian.
- 10:44Sean McAllister: Um over the years, Phantom of the Opera uh opened in the Venetian theater.
- 10:50Sean McAllister: It was built specifically for that production.
- 10:52Sean McAllister: Avenue Q did a run at uh The Win back in the day.
- 10:57Sean McAllister: Spam a lot has been here, the producers have been here over the years, but now we're getting uh two more shows, both over at the Venetian.
- 11:05Sean McAllister: Uh Mrs.
- 11:06Sean McAllister: Doubtfire, which is hilarious Broadway comedy.
- 11:11Sean McAllister: Hello! So funny, and also the Book of Mormon.
- 11:16Sean McAllister: So popular, both coming here.
- 11:17Sean McAllister: Um, the Book of Mormon, by the way, just in uh their theater on Broadway had a fire on the roof.
- 11:23Sean McAllister: Oh boy, and now the theater is like shut down for repairs indefinitely.
- 11:27Sean McAllister: So come see uh the Book of Mormon and Mrs.
- 11:32Sean McAllister: Doubtfire here.
- 11:33Sean McAllister: Mrs.
- 11:33Sean McAllister: Doubtfire is in July and August.
- 11:36Sean McAllister: Book of Mormon is coming up in November.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: Uh tickets are available at VenetianLosvegas.com.
- 11:43Dayna Roselli: Uh, what's the show that um at Venetian too that Mark Chinook was in uh for a long time?
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: Rock of Ages.
- 11:48Dayna Roselli: Rock of Ages was there for a long time, right?
- 11:50Sean McAllister: It was.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: And then of course uh Jersey Boys down the road at Paris was there for a very long time, too.
- 11:55Dayna Roselli: So there have been Broadway shows, like you said, that have been successful here.
- 11:58Dayna Roselli: And so I think this is a great idea.
- 12:00Dayna Roselli: And for that theater, they're excited to put it in the Venetian theater in the press release I was reading because it's such a prestige theater and perfect for something like that.
- 12:08Sean McAllister: It is.
- 12:08Sean McAllister: I I absolutely love that theater, and for this type of uh production, it fits perfectly on that stage.
- 12:15Sean McAllister: I'm excited for both of these.
- 12:16Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 12:17Sean McAllister: I've seen Book of Mormon a few times.
- 12:19Sean McAllister: I would go back 10 more.
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it looks good.
- 12:21Dayna Roselli: I was looking at the trailer, we were editing it in the TV show, and I was like, I have not seen Book of Mormon yet.
- 12:25Dayna Roselli: I gotta go.
- 12:26Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, big announcement.
- 12:28Dayna Roselli: Aloha, our TV show is gonna be airing in Hawaii starting in June.
- 12:32Dayna Roselli: Uh, we debut on KI TV on Wednesday, June 10th.
- 12:36Dayna Roselli: We're super excited.
- 12:37Dayna Roselli: Then we air every Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
- 12:40Dayna Roselli: on Kiku TV.
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: We know we have some Hawaii listeners we see on the list.
- 12:44Dayna Roselli: Um, we are just excited.
- 12:46Dayna Roselli: The team over there says that people in Hawaii can't get enough of Vegas.
- 12:50Dayna Roselli: So we are ready to bring it on and give you all the Vegas entertainment news.
- 12:54Sean McAllister: Yeah, and I personally, for vacation, Hawaii is top of the list for one of my favorite places to go ever.
- 13:04Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 13:04Sean McAllister: Um, so I get out there as much as possible.
- 13:08Sean McAllister: And when I do, Las Vegas always comes up in conversation.
- 13:12Sean McAllister: And without a doubt, we keep talking and talking and talking for a long time.
- 13:18Sean McAllister: I actually on my uh desk right here, I have the business card of a shop owner who I talked to on the last trip out there, um, who comes out here to Las Vegas for a bunch of trade shows to find new merchandise for the shop.
- 13:31Sean McAllister: And so we had a great conversation.
- 13:33Sean McAllister: Her high school uh reunion was happening in Las Vegas while we were there.
- 13:38Sean McAllister: This was last fall, and uh so she was excited to hear everything that was going on here, and now we'll be able to bring all of that information to you every single week, Sundays at 6:30 on Kiku TV starting uh in June.
- 13:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, this we're thrilled about this, and we've changed our set, we've made new graphics, we have a whole new look we're gonna debut.
- 14:01Dayna Roselli: And by the way, because we just brought on Hawaii, um we're actually looking for a new presenting sponsor or collaboration.
- 14:10Dayna Roselli: So if anyone's interested, um, basically our Vegas Revealed TV show airs here in Las Vegas on Fox Five.
- 14:17Dayna Roselli: Then it will air on Kiku TV as well every Sunday night at 6 30 in between the local news.
- 14:23Dayna Roselli: So if you're interested, email us ideas at vegas-revealed.com.
- 14:29Dayna Roselli: We always love to hear from people.
- 14:31Dayna Roselli: We have so many ideas on ways to partner and really push your brand and work together.
- 14:38Sean McAllister: Well, and it is it is a great exposure opportunity in two destination markets.
- 14:44Sean McAllister: So you're going to be hitting not only the people who live in Las Vegas and in Hawaii, but also all those eyes who are uh traveling through.
- 14:53Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 14:53Sean McAllister: So it's a great opportunity, great exposure.
- 14:56Sean McAllister: And yeah, if you're interested in in partnering with Vegas Revealed, hit us up.
- 15:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 15:00Dayna Roselli: And we, you know, also a lot of promos of um our show promos run outside of the show, and we always put the sponsor on at the end.
- 15:08Dayna Roselli: So you get a lot of eyes even outside our time slot.
- 15:11Dayna Roselli: There's so many different things we'd love to explain.
- 15:14Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, and it's Sean and I, and we we're all over the place.
- 15:18Dayna Roselli: And we need in order to do what we do and put this TV show together, we do need, you know, presenting sponsors, um, people to buy some commercial time.
- 15:28Dayna Roselli: And so we've got a lot of different things we can offer.
- 15:30Dayna Roselli: So email us if you're interested, spread the word, pass it on to a friend, maybe you know someone.
- 15:35Dayna Roselli: Um, we're excited about it.
- 15:36Dayna Roselli: We've already done a few stories and put them aside for our debut show that's gonna run in Hawaii.
- 15:42Dayna Roselli: We're saving some because we know we know we want to make it a good one.
- 15:45Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 15:46Sean McAllister: More better than every other show that we do, even though the I like to think that they're all pretty darn good.
- 15:52Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 15:53Sean McAllister: But you know, Dana, uh one business that's not gonna be jumping for a sponsorship is Spirit Airlines.
- 16:00unknown: Yeah.
- 16:00Sean McAllister: This is a really a tough story because uh aside from the travelers who have been impacted by this, there are thousands of employees who have suddenly found themselves out of work because on a on a whim, seemingly, Spirit Airlines announced it was just shutting down.
- 16:19Dayna Roselli: It was so sudden, right?
- 16:20Sean McAllister: Really sudden.
- 16:21Dayna Roselli: I liked Spirit too.
- 16:22Dayna Roselli: People gave it for quick regional trips.
- 16:25Sean McAllister: It's it was not a bad airline.
- 16:27Dayna Roselli: No, and I felt like the planes were newer and it was fine.
- 16:31Dayna Roselli: And they did a lot of nonstops.
- 16:33Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 16:33Dayna Roselli: I thought our airport handled it really well, was good about putting information out.
- 16:36Dayna Roselli: Cause it was when I got home from Mary J Friday night that I saw it late, because I got home late, like one in the morning.
- 16:42Dayna Roselli: Um, and I was like, wow, what is the airport posting?
- 16:46Dayna Roselli: And I thought, wow, they're on it.
- 16:48Dayna Roselli: So it was good, you know, communication.
- 16:50Dayna Roselli: It's it's a tough spot.
- 16:51Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's not their fault, the airports, but they got to communicate.
- 16:54Dayna Roselli: Here's some other options, here's other airlines you can take.
- 16:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, and I think that I saw um almost a thousand employees at the Las Vegas airport were Spirit Airlines employees.
- 17:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:06Dayna Roselli: Man, that's a tough one.
- 17:07Dayna Roselli: Ugh, so many people out of work, you know.
- 17:09Dayna Roselli: Hopefully they'll find other jobs.
- 17:11Dayna Roselli: Um speaking of, by the way, remember we talked about um Southwest adding that other Hawaii flight to Hawaii.
- 17:20Sean McAllister: There was Kona and Maui, I believe, right?
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, but they're adding Hilo.
- 17:24Dayna Roselli: Hilo.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah, yeah.
- 17:26Sean McAllister: That's on the Big Island, right.
- 17:27Dayna Roselli: We just did that.
- 17:28Dayna Roselli: Um, we just had someone comment on our YouTube, by the way, that said, this is amazing.
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: It's gonna save me, I forget, six hours because now I don't have to fly to Honolulu to get the connection.
- 17:39Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 17:40Dayna Roselli: So I was like, oh, good.
- 17:41Dayna Roselli: I love to hear the positive feedback about that.
- 17:43Sean McAllister: And apparently, I actually just saw something on this today, too.
- 17:47Sean McAllister: Uh uh Southwest is strengthening its rewards program for inter-island flights in Hawaii.
- 17:57Sean McAllister: So uh if you're island hopping, uh they're encouraging uh people to do that with their and sign up for their rewards program because they're um really trying to boost that uh service.
- 18:10Sean McAllister: Because of course Hawaiian Airlines was bought out and taken over by Alaska Airlines, and that has officially gone through.
- 18:18Sean McAllister: And I I talked with someone recently who flies Hawaiian regularly, and they're like, uh, I'm already noticing differences because Hawaiian had its own had its own spirit, its own aloha.
- 18:34Dayna Roselli: Right, you know, not spirit.
- 18:36Dayna Roselli: Now you're gonna know.
- 18:39Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 18:40Dayna Roselli: No, I know what you mean.
- 18:41Dayna Roselli: Listen, the flights, the experience, it's all part of your trip, and it's important.
- 18:46Sean McAllister: It is.
- 18:46Sean McAllister: So I have flown southwest uh to Hawaii a few times.
- 18:51Dayna Roselli: We took a flight together, you and I to Maui.
- 18:53Dayna Roselli: Yep, it was great.
- 18:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you're right, it was wonderful.
- 18:55Sean McAllister: You have new planes.
- 18:57Dayna Roselli: Remember, I spilled that big coffee on the God.
- 19:02Dayna Roselli: We were it took forever to get our coffee.
- 19:04Dayna Roselli: We were like running running to the gate.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: Oh no, and it like fell all over me.
- 19:09Dayna Roselli: It was horrible.
- 19:10Sean McAllister: Like as we were trying to scan our boarding passes to get onto the jetway.
- 19:14Dayna Roselli: I felt like I was in a sitcom, like it was an episode of Friends.
- 19:22Dayna Roselli: That was horrible.
- 19:24Dayna Roselli: It was mortifying.
- 19:25Dayna Roselli: Anyway.
- 19:26Sean McAllister: The lid wasn't, but to your the lid was not put on properly.
- 19:32Dayna Roselli: No, and when you've got a lot of things in your hand, it's hard.
- 19:36Dayna Roselli: Somebody needs to make something that's easier to just like that has a lot of different pockets to slide things in, like a crossbody bag with just tons of different with room for everything, so that you don't have to put things in your hand.
- 19:48Dayna Roselli: Well, it can't have room for my coffee, but I wanted two hands on my coffee.
- 19:52Dayna Roselli: Instead, you gotta have this in one hand and that and the pass and your phone and pulling out your license.
- 19:57Sean McAllister: I wonder if there's something that you take the lid off of your Starbucks cup, put it into like a holder cup that has its own lid that has a neck strap on it.
- 20:10Sean McAllister: So it's almost like the yardstick margaritas down on the strip.
- 20:14Sean McAllister: But then when you're going through the airport, you just have your coffee in a sealed container with a straw so that it's hanging around your neck, your hands are free, so that you can have your boarding pass, you can wheel your luggage, but you still have your coffee drink right there.
- 20:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah, something like that.
- 20:32Dayna Roselli: Don't give away all your ideas.
- 20:34Dayna Roselli: Trademark that.
- 20:35Sean McAllister: Oh, I think we can get our trademark friends on the line.
- 20:39Dayna Roselli: Well, you know what is easy?
- 20:41Dayna Roselli: Getting married here in Las Vegas.
- 20:43Dayna Roselli: We make it easy.
- 20:44Dayna Roselli: We are the wedding capital of the world.
- 20:47Dayna Roselli: In case you didn't know, we're a lot of things here in Las Vegas, and that's one of them.
- 20:52Dayna Roselli: Um, and we know a lot of locals choose to get married here.
- 20:55Dayna Roselli: We know people come in from all over the world to get married here.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: And why?
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: Well, because getting a marriage license is easy.
- 21:04Sean McAllister: Yeah, I can vouch for that.
- 21:05Sean McAllister: It is, it's very easy.
- 21:07Sean McAllister: And you know, you may not realize this, but Las Vegas became the wedding capital of the world, received that name anyhow, uh almost 75 years ago.
- 21:18Sean McAllister: That's when a newspaper in London actually declared that.
- 21:24Sean McAllister: They said, Hey, Las Vegas is the wedding capital of the world.
- 21:27Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 21:27Dayna Roselli: I think they call it the marriage capital.
- 21:29Dayna Roselli: And then we kind of did a twist on that, right?
- 21:31Dayna Roselli: And the headlines there, they had it at the 70th anniversary.
- 21:34Dayna Roselli: And we're like, oh wow, this is the actual article.
- 21:36Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 21:37Dayna Roselli: So interesting.
- 21:38Dayna Roselli: Um, well, to this day, the title sticks because, as we said, we make it easy here to tie the knot.
- 21:45SPEAKER_02: What's so funny to me is that uh we do a survey, put a post survey to all the couples and say, you know, what was the number one reason you came to Las Vegas?
- 21:53SPEAKER_02: And the number one thing that comes up is the ease of getting the license.
- 21:57SPEAKER_02: We're open eight to midnight, three hundred and sixty five days a year.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: And you wouldn't think that would be the most attractive thing because we have so much else to offer, but that's the number one thing that people cite.
- 22:06Dayna Roselli: And that was Lynn Goya, the Clark County Clerk.
- 22:09Dayna Roselli: We recently had a chat with her and got an update on everything weddings.
- 22:13Dayna Roselli: And you know, Sean, I was just thinking, uh, I wanted to bring up though, also people get married here and then have some the reception somewhere else.
- 22:21Dayna Roselli: Because I know you went to a Las Vegas wedding for Mark and Casey.
- 22:24Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 22:24Dayna Roselli: While they actually did their marriage here and got their license and actually were married here, but then they had their destination wedding in Napa.
- 22:34Sean McAllister: Right.
- 22:34Sean McAllister: They did a uh, you know, the a very small uh Vegas wedding at the Little White Wedding Chapel, and then you know, had their big wedding, like you said, up in um Northern California.
- 22:45Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 22:46Sean McAllister: The big ceremony, the big reception.
- 22:49Dayna Roselli: Right, because they had people coming in from all over, and and that's where in Napa they had met, right?
- 22:54Dayna Roselli: Or something there was a connection there.
- 22:56Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 22:56Dayna Roselli: So but but people are doing like the wedding here.
- 23:00Dayna Roselli: I know someone who just did the same thing.
- 23:01Dayna Roselli: It's like they're having their wedding with all their family in Michigan in a year, but they wanted to get married now.
- 23:07Dayna Roselli: So they went to one of our chapels, did the whole thing, did a fun weekend, stayed at Resorts World.
- 23:13Dayna Roselli: And so I love that for us here as locals too.
- 23:16Sean McAllister: Which is a really convenient and affordable way to do it.
- 23:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 23:22Dayna Roselli: I mean, listen, the Vegas experience is really unmatched, and really it's been that way since our city was founded.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: Las Vegas has been a wedding destination and a wedding hotspot really since it was founded in 1909.
- 23:35SPEAKER_02: And so we had standalone chapels.
- 23:37SPEAKER_02: The flamingo opened with a chapel, and so this is part of our DNA.
- 23:41SPEAKER_02: When you call a chapel or when you call a hotel and say you want to book a wedding, we have wedding planners built into it, so you don't have to hire a separate wedding planner.
- 23:50SPEAKER_02: That's part of what we do to make the wedding of your dreams come true.
- 23:54SPEAKER_02: Basically, the blue promise that you can't get them in another place in the world.
- 23:58Dayna Roselli: Do you see a lot of ups and downs, or is it mostly up and occasionally we have a dip?
- 24:03SPEAKER_02: You know, there are outside influences that you really don't have control over.
- 24:07SPEAKER_02: There were three receptions in the last decade.
- 24:09SPEAKER_02: You know, obviously it impacts us as well as the couples themselves.
- 24:13SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, we try to recover from that and make sure that the value is still there for everybody.
- 24:18SPEAKER_02: Some people decide on a whim.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: Some people do decide on the whim.
- 24:21SPEAKER_02: And what we're seeing lately is a lot of people are coming for conventions and they go, Well, we're already coming to Las Vegas for a convention.
- 24:29SPEAKER_02: My friends are here, all I have to do is get my family here, and we can just do a wedding on the spur of the moment or ahead of time, but during those same locations.
- 24:39SPEAKER_02: So they're already getting their room paid for.
- 24:42SPEAKER_02: Let's let's get married.
- 24:43Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 24:44Dayna Roselli: Take advantage of those convention trips and work trips.
- 24:47Sean McAllister: I guess so.
- 24:48Sean McAllister: I I guess I didn't realize so many people took advantage of the work trips to tie the knot.
- 24:53Dayna Roselli: Smart.
- 24:54Sean McAllister: It is smart.
- 24:55Sean McAllister: If work is paying the bill for your trip out here, may as well just add some add some perks in there.
- 25:02Dayna Roselli: Um, and in the conversation with Lynn, we were also chatting about the younger generation.
- 25:06Dayna Roselli: I was like, what trends are there?
- 25:07Dayna Roselli: She's like, well, it's not necessarily like a trend, but um she was noticing that younger people do not want that cookie cutter wedding.
- 25:15Dayna Roselli: So that's good for us too.
- 25:18Dayna Roselli: Something a little, you know, different.
- 25:20Sean McAllister: And another uh trend that the wedding industry here in Las Vegas is seeing in 2026, kind of going along with the whole hospitality industry as well, people are looking for all-inclusive wedding packages.
- 25:33Sean McAllister: And that's what a lot of the wedding chapels, even uh the chapels at the uh hotel casino properties, you know, you can talk to them about all-inclusive uh deals that you know it covers everything.
- 25:47Sean McAllister: It covers your flowers, you can get your ring, you can you know, there's so many places to go and like we talked about what was it last week to go and you know get your nails done, to get your hair done, get dresses, get tuxes.
- 26:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we got it's it is really easy.
- 26:04Dayna Roselli: I have a lot of friends that have come out here to get married and really enjoyed it and loved every minute of it.
- 26:10Dayna Roselli: Um but let's talk celebrity weddings now in our celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 26:17Sean McAllister: And Dana, this is a beefy chunky celebrity news with a Vegas twist this week.
- 26:23Sean McAllister: Continuing on with the the wedding theme, there have been a lot of celebrities who've tied the knot here in Las Vegas.
- 26:31Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 26:31Dayna Roselli: Now, there's a newer chapel called Storybook that we told you about.
- 26:34Dayna Roselli: It's more of a traditional chapel with elegant like our architecture, charming decor.
- 26:39Dayna Roselli: It's doing really well.
- 26:39Dayna Roselli: It's a very romantic little spot.
- 26:41Dayna Roselli: It's owned by D.D.
- 26:42Dayna Roselli: Duffy Museum and Brendan Paul, who also own Graceland Wedding Chapel.
- 26:48Dayna Roselli: Now, this is historic, that chapel, Graceland, and really iconic because it's where the world's first Elvis themed wedding was performed.
- 26:57Sean McAllister: And Elvis weddings are now like synonymous with Las Vegas, right?
- 27:03Sean McAllister: And Brendan is a great uh Elvis tribute artist who performs these weddings.
- 27:09Sean McAllister: He actually got his job at Graceland when he and Dee Dee went to visit the chapel.
- 27:13Sean McAllister: This was a long time ago, because Dee Dee wanted to see where Bon Jovi got married, and then Brendan was offered a job on the spot, and the rest is kind of history.
- 27:22Dayna Roselli: It's crazy, and Brendan's great because he walks in the room, he's tall, he's got that whole Elvis stature going on.
- 27:27Dayna Roselli: So I love that he was hired on the spot.
- 27:29Dayna Roselli: It makes sense, right?
- 27:30Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, and Brendan and Graceland were actually just featured on an episode of Apple TV's Margot's Got Money Trouble.
- 27:36Dayna Roselli: I won't spoil that for you if you haven't seen it yet, because I hate when people do that.
- 27:39Dayna Roselli: But it does include a scene with Michelle Pfeiffer, Greg Kinnear, um, Al Fanning, and it's great.
- 27:45Dayna Roselli: And you will see Brendan in that episode.
- 27:48Dayna Roselli: Um, but we did talk with Brendan recently, and he says a lot of other celebrities have been married there too.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: I mean, I married David Harbour from Stranger Things and Lily Allen, uh, Jompon Jovi, who got married there famously in 1989.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: He came in last year with his son.
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: I just walked in on a Tuesday and he's like, hey, Elvis, and John was standing there.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: I said, Oh my God.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: You know, and and he goes, It was just he and Dorothea, his wife, and the bride's mom and dad, and it was just six of them, and they had a little wedding on a Tuesday afternoon.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: And he goes, My son wanted to get married here because of us.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: We get people that choose a chapel because Fear and Lothing in Las Vegas with Johnny Depp.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: We filmed that there, and I was in the scene with them, and some people go, That's our favorite movie.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: So it's like the weirdest thing that brings people in.
- 28:30SPEAKER_00: You know, I would I did a couple of those 90-day fiancés.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: People pick the chapel, they go, We saw you on 90-day fiance.
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what it's crazy how people choose that you know, that that's why they came to Grayson.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: And so now we're gonna start new memories here, and people have memories at Storybook, you know.
- 28:46Sean McAllister: And of course, those are just a few of the uh celebrities that uh Brendan has encountered over the years here in Las Vegas.
- 28:54Sean McAllister: Um, aside from that, we know Kelly Rippa and Mark Consuelos were also married here.
- 28:59Sean McAllister: I mean, back in the day, uh Betty White was married here.
- 29:03Sean McAllister: I mean, the Angelina Jolie, Brittany Spears, I mean uh Jennifer Lopez.
- 29:09Dayna Roselli: J Lo and Ben.
- 29:10Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 29:10Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that was a big deal, right?
- 29:12Sean McAllister: That was a big deal.
- 29:13Dayna Roselli: I mean, so many people get married here.
- 29:15Dayna Roselli: It's awesome.
- 29:16Dayna Roselli: We have so many choices.
- 29:17Dayna Roselli: Uh and chapels, you know, you can do the Elvis, you cannot do the Elvis, you can just do, you know, sparkles, you could do showgirls, you could do a traditional, it doesn't matter.
- 29:27Dayna Roselli: And and like we just said, we make it easy.
- 29:29Dayna Roselli: Because you go in, you get your license, you get it done.
- 29:32Dayna Roselli: You need a witness.
- 29:34Sean McAllister: You do need a witness.
- 29:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah, but just one, I think.
- 29:36Sean McAllister: Just one.
- 29:37Sean McAllister: Uh, and to get the ball rolling, if you are thinking about uh getting married here in Las Vegas, you can go to weddings.vegas.
- 29:45Sean McAllister: There's a ton of information there.
- 29:47Sean McAllister: There's inspiration if you're looking for it, if you're planning your ceremony right now.
- 29:52Sean McAllister: So again, weddings.vegas is kind of your one-stop shop to begin the planning process for a Vegas wedding.
- 30:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and we we work with them to do a lot of different stories on couples that have been married here.
- 30:06Dayna Roselli: So if you surf around on there, a lot of those stories will give you ideas if you're planning a wedding.
- 30:11Dayna Roselli: A lot of people have like different kinds of experiences, and it's cool to see all like, oh, I never thought of that.
- 30:18Dayna Roselli: Maybe, you know, can people get married on the high roller?
- 30:20Dayna Roselli: I mean, uh observation wheel, the whole nine.
- 30:23Dayna Roselli: All right, well, let's talk about Tiffany, 80s pop star Tiffany, you know who that is.
- 30:27Dayna Roselli: She's heading to Las Vegas on May 12th to celebrate the release of Pop Life, the Ultimate 80s Kitchen Encore.
- 30:34Dayna Roselli: Now, this is her first traditionally published cookbook created with Chef Alicia Chevaton, who is also from Las Vegas.
- 30:41Sean McAllister: Yeah, and Tiffany has been out on tour with her music, um, but she recently took a pause to chat with us about coming here to Las Vegas to celebrate her new cookbook.
- 30:52Sean McAllister: Tiffany, it's good to see you.
- 30:54Sean McAllister: Well, thank you.
- 30:55Dayna Roselli: Deshaun and I talk a lot about on our show how nostalgia is just so big right now.
- 31:00Dayna Roselli: Are you finding that to be the case when you're out there on tour?
- 31:03SPEAKER_03: There's something about 80s music, it makes people happy.
- 31:06SPEAKER_03: So, like every night, again, this tour has been really rejuvenating for me.
- 31:11SPEAKER_03: It's been a lot of fun.
- 31:12SPEAKER_03: I talk about old school.
- 31:13SPEAKER_03: I pick up like an old school phone at one point in the show and I go, I'm calling all my 80s people.
- 31:19SPEAKER_03: And I talk about, you know, waiting for that phone call at home.
- 31:23SPEAKER_03: Like you, it was a thing.
- 31:24SPEAKER_03: You had to be home.
- 31:25SPEAKER_03: If you said you were gonna call somebody, it was it was a thing.
- 31:29SPEAKER_03: Go into the mall on the weekends with your girlfriends, and you might only had$10 in your pocket, but you let made that$10 last all day.
- 31:39SPEAKER_03: And for me, I used to go to the record store and I would read all the vinyl vinyl liner notes and all of that and listen to new things.
- 31:48SPEAKER_03: And you know, it was there was something magical about the 80s for sure.
- 31:52Dayna Roselli: For sure.
- 31:53Dayna Roselli: The soft pretzel at the mall is yes, ma'am.
- 31:56SPEAKER_03: The orange Julius.
- 31:58SPEAKER_03: I still love those, I still rock those.
- 32:02Sean McAllister: Well, and you know, there are uh there's a thing about music that takes you back to a certain place in your life, and there's a connection there with food also.
- 32:12Sean McAllister: And you have a cookbook that's coming out, you're gonna be here in Vegas May 12th to uh for the official launch of Pop Life, the Ultimate 80s Encore.
- 32:22Sean McAllister: So, how did this cookbook idea come to be?
- 32:25SPEAKER_03: You know, it just I I love I'm a foodie.
- 32:27SPEAKER_03: So everywhere I travel, I want to be in the know.
- 32:30SPEAKER_03: I don't want to be at the hotel, I want to be where the locals eat.
- 32:34SPEAKER_03: And so, you know, I started Let's Food with Tiffany on Instagram in COVID.
- 32:39SPEAKER_03: And all of a sudden, all these different chefs started popping up and asking me, Hey, would you like to be a part of this?
- 32:45SPEAKER_03: And that led to me meeting uh Chef Alicia, who's a celebrity chef in Las Vegas.
- 32:51SPEAKER_03: And we thought, why not do like an 80s cookbook?
- 32:54SPEAKER_03: You know, reworking 80s food all leveled up for the adult kitchen.
- 32:58SPEAKER_03: So your stove first pizza, your chicken pot pies, your piggies in a blanket, but I stuffed mine with mac and cheese.
- 33:05SPEAKER_03: So I really go there.
- 33:07SPEAKER_03: Uh, so it's taken three years.
- 33:09SPEAKER_03: It is finally here.
- 33:11SPEAKER_03: I got my copy yesterday for the very first time.
- 33:14SPEAKER_03: I literally slept with this guy.
- 33:17SPEAKER_03: I was like, oh my gosh, you're here.
- 33:18SPEAKER_03: But it's more than just a cookbook.
- 33:21SPEAKER_03: It is dedicated to our grandmothers.
- 33:23SPEAKER_03: I talk about my childhood in here and about my family and about touring.
- 33:29SPEAKER_03: So you get a lot of photos of me on the road that people haven't seen and my 80s experience, you know, from all the different places that I've been.
- 33:38SPEAKER_03: And a lot of these recipes are my favorites from around the world.
- 33:42Dayna Roselli: Love it.
- 33:42Dayna Roselli: And I and I love that you're working with someone from Las Vegas because we've actually become quite a culinary town.
- 33:48Dayna Roselli: Um, so that's really cool.
- 33:50Dayna Roselli: Do you do you visit us a lot?
- 33:52Dayna Roselli: I think I saw a post from you a long time ago saying you had a lot of memories here with your dad.
- 33:56SPEAKER_03: I well, my dad used to live there.
- 33:58SPEAKER_03: I actually did a residency a long time ago at the old school Hilton, years ago.
- 34:04SPEAKER_03: So, yes, next year I will be in Vegas more because there's just so much for me to learn.
- 34:09SPEAKER_03: And I'm so grateful for a lot of people who are inviting me to be a part of their world.
- 34:14SPEAKER_03: You know, we're gonna be doing these pop life parties.
- 34:17SPEAKER_03: So we're just getting it started May 12th is our very first one.
- 34:20SPEAKER_03: You get to taste the food.
- 34:22Dayna Roselli: It's quite an event.
- 34:23Dayna Roselli: That sounds like a lot of fun.
- 34:24Dayna Roselli: They get to be with you, they get to get the cookbook, and then I have a feeling there'll probably be some 80s music playing.
- 34:29SPEAKER_03: Oh, definitely.
- 34:30SPEAKER_03: We're gonna be pumping 80s music for sure.
- 34:32SPEAKER_03: It's it's a celebration of my life and you know, my next career.
- 34:37SPEAKER_03: So, you know, there's a lot on the horizon to do some dining shows, um, and do I'm already doing them.
- 34:43SPEAKER_03: They're called Tiff Takeovers, where I come into restaurants from mom and pop, two high-end restaurants, acoustic set, and rework some of their favorite, you know, things on their menu, or now they can serve my stuff, uh, which I'm excited.
- 34:57SPEAKER_03: They'll be featuring some of my appetizers.
- 34:59SPEAKER_03: So lots to come in the culinary world for me.
- 35:02Sean McAllister: Tiffany and Chef Alicia will have their lunch party in the arts district at Barb OM on May 12th.
- 35:09Sean McAllister: That's from 6 to 9.
- 35:11Sean McAllister: You can get more information on tickets and all the details at TiffanyTunes.com.
- 35:17Dayna Roselli: Sounds like it'll be a fun party.
- 35:18Dayna Roselli: I like some of the things she has in that cookbook.
- 35:21Dayna Roselli: I said, Yeah, some of the good, you know, comfort food.
- 35:24Dayna Roselli: The comfort food is always great.
- 35:26Dayna Roselli: It really is.
- 35:26Dayna Roselli: It was great to chat with Tiffany.
- 35:28Dayna Roselli: So um, we've got to head out.
- 35:30Dayna Roselli: There's a new restaurant opening at the English Hotel that we're gonna go check out.
