Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Epstein Chronicles. When it comes to the monarchy, there has
• 0:07
been scandal after a scandal that they've been able to
• 0:10
definitely navigate, whether it was Princess Diana or anything else,
• 0:16
they've usually come out on top. However, the situation with
• 0:20
Prince Andrew is an anchor that is really weighing the
• 0:23
monarchy down and I don't see them getting out from
• 0:26
underneath it anytime soon, especially considering that people, including Epstein's
• 0:31
survivors themselves, think that the Palace is still engaging in
• 0:35
a cover up. And I have to agree. You know,
• 0:40
I know a lot of people out there are like, well,
• 0:42
the UK is making moves, they're arresting people, but is
• 0:46
it for show? Do they know that they're not going
• 0:48
to get the information from the Americans, so they're just
• 0:51
doing this to show the British people, Hey, look we're
• 0:54
doing something. We tried our best. It was those damn
• 0:58
Americans that screwed it all up. And while I'm sure
• 1:02
there is a little bit of truth to that about
• 1:04
America not playing ball, there's a lot more meat on
• 1:07
this bone then the Palace wants to admit and not
• 1:11
all of it has to do with Jeffrey Epstein. So
• 1:13
when it comes to Prince Andrew, I'd say that the
• 1:16
cover up is well under way, except this time it's
• 1:19
being directed from the Palace and not from ten Downing Street,
• 1:24
and the chorus of criticism against the Palace and the
• 1:27
Crown and this cover up continue to grow. So today
• 1:31
we have an article from the Telegraph and the headline
• 1:34
Epstein's survivor accuses Palace of cover up. This article was
• 1:37
authored by Natasha Leak, a survivor of Jeffrey Epstein, has
• 1:41
accused Buckingham Palace of covering up the actions of Andrew
• 1:45
mount Batton. Winsor. Jess Michaels, who was sexually assaulted by
• 1:49
Epstein in nineteen ninety one when she was twenty two
• 1:52
years old, claimed the Institution had failed to act on
• 1:55
evidence that he had leaked confidential government information. And that's
• 2:00
a fact. They knew they had this information all the
• 2:04
way back in twenty twenty, and they did nothing with
• 2:07
it because they were covering up what was going on
• 2:11
with Epstein, and of course Prince Andrew's partner it and
• 2:15
the Palace had to cover it up. What are they
• 2:17
going to do out Prince Andrew, the Queen's favorite boy.
• 2:20
She would have never allowed it. But now that she's gone,
• 2:24
it's her relatives that have to deal with it. William
• 2:27
and Charles, the rest of them are left hold in
• 2:30
the bag when the Queen could have fixed this a
• 2:32
long time ago. Speaking to the Telegraph, she accused the
• 2:36
Palace of protecting mister mount Batton Windsor after I had
• 2:39
received emails six years ago showing that he had shared
• 2:42
sensitive government information with a business contact while he was
• 2:46
a trade endvoy. Six years ago. The Palace knew Andrew
• 2:50
wasn't just a problem, he could face criminal investigation, and
• 2:53
they sat on it. Miss Michael said in a statement
• 2:56
to the Telegraph. Look, she is not wrong. That's what
• 2:59
a up is. You have the information and you sit
• 3:03
on it because you know it's damaging. The people of
• 3:06
the UK deserve so much better that it's not even funny.
• 3:11
And I know everybody likes to pile on, you know,
• 3:13
the administration here in America, and they've earned it. But
• 3:17
let's not act like what's going on over in the
• 3:19
UK is all fine and well. It most certainly is not.
• 3:24
And if they can find a way to stash this
• 3:26
and kill the story. That's what they're gonna do too.
• 3:29
And I hate to admit it, but they've been pretty
• 3:30
effective at killing the story over the past couple of months.
• 3:34
Whether it's with Iran or something else, they've done a
• 3:37
pretty good job. Miss Michaels, who was a professional dancer
• 3:42
in New York City when Epstein assaulted her, added that
• 3:45
the failure to act had wider moral consequences for survivors
• 3:49
and others connected to the case. And there's zero doubt
• 3:52
that all of the questioning, all of the doubting of
• 3:57
Virginia took a toll on her. And the saddest part is,
• 4:00
in my opinion, she was telling the truth. Imagine going
• 4:04
through your life being malign like that, telling everybody the truth,
• 4:08
as embarrassing as it is, and you still have people
• 4:11
out here that are doubting you, calling you all kinds
• 4:13
of crazy names. Sure, let's protect Prince Andrew, though protecting
• 4:20
him meant doubting her. Virginia Roberts was telling the truth
• 4:23
and she didn't live to see them. Admit it. That
• 4:26
breaks my heart and it should break everyone's. I agree
• 4:29
with that too, It should if anyone deserved to see
• 4:31
Andrew's downfall, and most certainly was Virginia. She's the one
• 4:35
that exposed them. She's the one that actually put her
• 4:37
name on the line to bring this to light. So
• 4:40
if anyone deserved to see this happen, it was her.
• 4:43
So with her not being around, I think we owe
• 4:46
it to her to make sure that we hold Prince
• 4:48
Andrew's feet to the fire and we make sure we
• 4:50
got as close to justice as we possibly can. And
• 4:53
if that shit makes me the asshole or the bad guy, cool,
• 4:56
I have zero problem being that person. This is what
• 5:02
institutions do. They protect powerful men and leave people they
• 5:05
harmed to carry it. Miss Michaels said that she was
• 5:10
glad UK was investigating mister mount Batten Windsor, describing it
• 5:14
as the very least that they could do. I'm glad
• 5:17
the UK is finally investigating, she told the telegraphs, a
• 5:20
little late, but it's the very least that they could do. Meanwhile,
• 5:24
our own government named us as victims, shields the men
• 5:27
who harmed us, and still treats us like the problem. Unfortunately,
• 5:31
that's how they look at the girls as a problem,
• 5:34
a problem for their narrative, a problem when they say,
• 5:37
move on. How can you look at these women, these
• 5:41
girls who were abused and want to move on, unless,
• 5:44
of course, you believe that they're lying. And they're sure
• 5:47
as a lot of people out there these days that
• 5:49
believe that, which is crazy because most of them are
• 5:52
the same people that believe that Tom Hanks was drinking
• 5:55
baby's blood down in Gitmo, the same people that couldn't
• 5:58
shut up about h O this and pedal that. But
• 6:01
all of a sudden, they don't want to talk about
• 6:03
quote unquote conspiracies. They don't want to talk about child abusers.
• 6:06
I wonder why mister mount Batton Winsor's association with Jeffrey
• 6:13
Epstein has been the subject to sustained public and legal
• 6:16
scrutiny for several years. Several years, I think you mean
• 6:19
a decade and a half or so. Virginia Roberts, one
• 6:24
of Epstein's most prominent accusers, claimed that she had been
• 6:27
trafficked to Mount Baton Winsor when she was seventeen years old.
• 6:31
In February, on his sixty sixth birthday, mister mount Baton
• 6:35
Windsor was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office
• 6:39
or allegations that he passed sensitive government information to Epstein
• 6:43
while working as a trade endvoy. I don't even know
• 6:45
if it's an allegation. We saw the emails. Now they're
• 6:48
going to split hers right and say, oh this was
• 6:51
illegal or this was legal. Oh this was out of line,
• 6:54
but it didn't cross the line, you know, the whole thing.
• 6:57
But the emails are what they are, and he sends
• 7:01
sensitive information to his pedophile buddy. That's it. That's the story.
• 7:07
So now the question is what's the UK government going
• 7:10
to do about it. Paperwork released as part of the
• 7:14
Epstein files appears to show mister Mount Baton Windsor forwarding
• 7:18
official reports in November twenty ten relating to trips to
• 7:22
Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam and China. He denies all wrongdoing.
• 7:26
Oh imagine that he denies all wrongdoing, The same guy
• 7:31
that lied to us in the BBC interview. Sure, let's
• 7:34
believe what Prince Andrew has to say. Correlated documents indicate
• 7:41
that Buckingham Palace was provided with large volumes of correspondence
• 7:45
in twenty twenty that raised questions about mister Mount Batton
• 7:48
Winsor's conduct in public office. According to the documents. The
• 7:52
Lord Chamberlain, the palace's most senior official, received a tranch
• 7:56
of around thirty thousand emails, including some relating to mount
• 8:00
Batten Winsor. So they had all this information, all these
• 8:04
documents previously they did shit about it. So who's going
• 8:07
to answer for that? Whose decision was that? The former
• 8:13
Prince is understood to have forwarded correspondence to Jonathan Rowland,
• 8:17
a close friend and former chief executive of Bank Haviland
• 8:21
during his time as Trade Envoy between two thousand and
• 8:24
one and twenty eleven. The emergence of these claims has
• 8:27
increased scrutiny of the Palace. How much was known about
• 8:31
mister mount Batton Winsor at the time and what action,
• 8:34
if any, was taken over his actions? Look all valid questions,
• 8:39
and if the Palace knew about this, why didn't they act?
• 8:43
Who told them that they should sit on it? And
• 8:47
when we talk about a cover up, this is what
• 8:49
we mean and I think we've only seen the very
• 8:52
beginnings of it. Over in the UK, on Saturday, Rachel Maskell,
• 8:57
the Labor MP for York Central, called for a publican increy,
• 9:00
saying that the system built around the royal household has
• 9:03
to be reviewed. Sharing an appearance on BBC's Radio four
• 9:06
Today program, the web grows ever darker and that's why
• 9:10
we've got to address an issue of unaccountable power and
• 9:14
also the abuse of power in high office, she said.
• 9:16
She added that she wanted a joint committee of members
• 9:19
from the House of Commons and the House of Lords
• 9:21
to be established to scrutinize the Royal household. That's a
• 9:25
great idea. There needs to be some oversight, some accountability,
• 9:29
but when it comes to the Palace, we hardly see it.
• 9:32
They just do whatever they want, whenever they want to
• 9:34
do it. When asked by the BBC about the emails,
• 9:38
Buckingham Palace said, since there's an ongoing police inquiry concerning
• 9:42
mister mount Batten Windsor, it's not possible to provide any
• 9:45
comment on these matters. Buckingham Palace declined to comment when
• 9:49
contacted by the Telegraph and Buckingham Palace's favorite comment is
• 9:54
no comment. That's something we've seen for years now and
• 9:58
it's something that served them well. They've been able to
• 10:00
get away with it because they've been afforded a lot
• 10:03
of privacy over in the UK and of course, accountability
• 10:06
is not something that they can even pronounce when it
• 10:09
comes to the Royal family. They're never held accountable for anything.
• 10:13
So the question is is that going to change with
• 10:16
Prince Andrew or are we just going to get more
• 10:19
of the same. All of the information that goes with
• 10:22
this episode can be found in the description box.
