Transcript
- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity, no topic, off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Firazzo.
- 0:19Hey, friends, family and Christ, thank you so much for tuning in.
- 0:23We've got Andy Woods with us, and I can't wait to get to him, but before we do, I'm
- 0:27going to talk about a local conference.
- 0:29Then he's got a conference coming up at his church in Texas.
- 0:33Right now, it's the men of iron conference happening in a couple of weeks.
- 0:37This is February 28th.
- 0:38It's a one-day conference at one-way Christian church in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
- 0:43Pastor Matt Trewella, and he's, you might know him from missionaries to the pre-born,
- 0:48the five tyrants.com, Pastor David Roth.
- 0:52He's the pastor at one-way Christian church.
- 0:54And Coach Dave, Dave Dobin-Meyer, coach, speaker, founder of Pass the Salt.
- 0:59So the website to register men of ironconference.org, and Andy Woods, welcome, good to see you
- 1:10again, brother.
- 1:12David, good to be here.
- 1:13Thanks for having me.
- 1:14You're most welcome.
- 1:15I love you.
- 1:16Appreciate your ministry, your voice, your sanity, but now, so it's your turn.
- 1:22We've got a conference coming to Sugarland, Bible Church.
- 1:24Tell us about it.
- 1:25Yeah, it's February 20th through 21st, all day Friday culminating in a Shabbat meal,
- 1:33Friday evening, a banquet, and then all day Saturday culminating in a Q&A session.
- 1:39This is our fifth annual prophecy conference.
- 1:44We started doing these because we just sense the world is changing and the world is turning
- 1:50against Israel.
- 1:52And this was pre-October 7th, and boy, has the world changed since then.
- 1:58And so we do a current, current events, kind of prophecy conference, you know, every
- 2:02year.
- 2:03And this will be our fifth time doing it.
- 2:05Names you know, Olivier Malnick, Alex Newman, Russ Miller.
- 2:11You may not know Paul Wilkinson, Patrick Wood, et cetera, et cetera, Melissa Hurray, who
- 2:18I'm doing an interview with from the Lendell Recovery Network.
- 2:23And it's just, it's last day's discernment, four to five people in the end times if people
- 2:29go to profcon.com, they can register to come.
- 2:34We invite people to stick around Sunday morning to attend our services at nearby Sugarland
- 2:39Bible Church.
- 2:40There's a lot of our conference speakers will be presenting at our church, but we've
- 2:45outgrown our facility.
- 2:47So we decided to host it at the Sugarland Marriott.
- 2:50So this is our first time doing that.
- 2:53And so exciting, exciting stuff.
- 2:56Yes, yes.
- 2:58So friends, as of we're, you know, airing this podcast, that's this coming.
- 3:05Is it Friday and Saturday or, yes, the 20th and 21st.
- 3:09So make sure you guys get the information, and especially if you live in that area.
- 3:15So Sugarland Bible Church website, could you give that to us also, Andy?
- 3:19Yeah, that's slbc.org, you'll see a way to register.
- 3:25And then there's, if they don't like that or want to go a different route, it's profcon.com.
- 3:31Okay, awesome.
- 3:33So I'm just going to make my note here, because we're doing two podcasts with you, make
- 3:37sure we get the right one up.
- 3:39But a lot to talk about, as always, isn't exhausting.
- 3:43And by the way, your pastor's point of view, how many are you up to now, and didn't you
- 3:47start like three, four years ago?
- 3:50Yeah, we started that as Obama was leaving office around 2016.
- 4:00If I remember right, he was doing some things with the UN at the time.
- 4:07Related to Jerusalem and, you know, pressuring as he did for a two-state solution mentality.
- 4:16So we just thought there were things coming upon the world that I couldn't really cover
- 4:20in sermons and teachings.
- 4:21So we started this podcast, and here we are.
- 4:25We're already up to, very close to number 400, and so we just, we just deal with current
- 4:31events and Bible prophecy and those types of things.
- 4:36So it's interesting.
- 4:37One of the reasons I love your brother is you talk about all these things, nothing's
- 4:42off limits, and a lot of pastors won't touch on some of the things you and I talk about
- 4:48or the guests I have on this podcast.
- 4:51And it really is disappointing.
- 4:55And so I'm thankful that you started, I didn't realize it was almost 10 years ago that
- 4:59you started that on my goodness.
- 5:01Wow.
- 5:02Okay.
- 5:03So did you ever think you'd be doing this many or this long?
- 5:06No, I didn't, and I thought the rapture would have happened by now, but not yet.
- 5:12Maybe this year, you know, you wanted it to happen.
- 5:15Okay.
- 5:16It's hard.
- 5:17It's tedious.
- 5:18And you do a lot of extensive research into some of these, it's hard to keep up with
- 5:22everything.
- 5:23But we're going to talk about politics, the university's education today, very disappointing
- 5:28what's been going on.
- 5:29But let's talk about what the media won't talk about.
- 5:32And let's start with Yale.
- 5:36This one was in your pastor's point of view from the previous week.
- 5:41Now this is not just Yale, I want to really emphasize that point because I've been tracking
- 5:45this at the Ivy League schools and others.
- 5:49But Yale achieves academic Nirvana.
- 5:52Study cannot find a single Republican donor on the faculty.
- 5:59So Yale University faculty, this is not exactly a news flash, but no Republican donors.
- 6:05This is a broader issue in academia.
- 6:0998% of political donations went to Democrats and not a single professor could be found
- 6:18who gave a donation to a Republican candidate.
- 6:23And why is this a problem?
- 6:25Because it's not just Yale.
- 6:26Maybe that's one of the reasons it's a problem.
- 6:29Yeah, in the piece, Jonathan Turley who wrote that mentions other schools where this
- 6:34is happening.
- 6:36But it's the Ivy League, first of all, which used to be the light of America.
- 6:42I mean, that's what trained our future ministers going back to colonial times.
- 6:48That's why those schools were brought into existence.
- 6:52And now it's to a point where the biblical Christian conservative worldview is not just
- 6:58a minority, you know, it doesn't exist.
- 7:02So it's one thing to say gosh, our side is treated unfairly.
- 7:06Our side doesn't get a fair shake.
- 7:09It's a completely different thing to say our side doesn't exist.
- 7:12So that's what Turley sarcastically calls liberal Nirvana.
- 7:18That's what they've achieved at Yale and other schools where they've taken a perspective
- 7:23and they've annihilated it, they've eradicated it, which is not education.
- 7:30That's propaganda.
- 7:33It's indoctrination.
- 7:35It's telling people what to think, not how to think.
- 7:39And the Bible is very clear in the Proverbs and other places that one man always sounds
- 7:44right until another comes and crosses the examin' to him.
- 7:49At Yale University related to worldview, it's one thing to say it's not going on as much
- 7:55as it should.
- 7:56It's another thing to say it doesn't exist.
- 7:59And it was Abraham Lincoln who is, this quote is attributed to Lincoln.
- 8:04He said the philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of
- 8:11government in the next.
- 8:13So this is where our future legislatures, senators, presidents, business leaders, you
- 8:20name it, are coming from.
- 8:22And they're going to quickly move into their spheres of influence and they're going
- 8:25to bring with them this mentality where the Bible and conservatism and basic biblical
- 8:32worldview Christianity that US pals regularly, David, on your shows doesn't even exist anymore.
- 8:39And so that's why the early piece was frightening to me.
- 8:43Yeah.
- 8:44So before we pick on Harvard a little bit, who used to have in their shield, truth for
- 8:50Christ in the church, and now it's just Veritas, but who's Veritas?
- 8:54But a quote from this article, Andy, academics in the US, Canada and Europe have been leaning
- 8:59left for the past three or four generations.
- 9:04And this is something that shows no signs of being corrected or correcting itself anytime
- 9:09soon.
- 9:10A little later on in the article, it says in a country with a majority of conservative
- 9:14and libertarian voters, fewer than 9% of the Harvard student body, for example, and less
- 9:22than 3% of the faculty members identify as conservative.
- 9:29This again is higher education, your thoughts on Harvard and again, this is probably close
- 9:34to across the board, not just the Ivy League.
- 9:39Well it's our future.
- 9:41I've dealt with liberal bias my whole life.
- 9:45We're not dealing with liberal bias.
- 9:47We're dealing with liberal dominance, dominance isn't even the right word, liberal and that's
- 9:55all you get.
- 9:56I guess that's what I'm trying to say.
- 9:58And whatever they're doing as masquerading for education, this is not education.
- 10:07They used to talk about we need to develop thinkers.
- 10:12A thinker is, okay, you take side A and I'm going to take side B and let's debate.
- 10:18All right, let's switch it up now.
- 10:21Let's switch sides.
- 10:22I'll take the side that you were, you know, I'll take the other side and you take my side
- 10:27and let's argue again, that's education.
- 10:31They don't call you thinkers anymore.
- 10:33They don't use that expression.
- 10:35They say we want to develop learners.
- 10:38There's a big difference between a learner who just swallows propaganda and a thinker.
- 10:44And so the whole concept of education in our most prestigious institutions, it's one
- 10:53thing to say.
- 10:54It's not going on.
- 10:55It's another thing to say.
- 10:56It doesn't exist anymore.
- 10:57And that's what Turley's talking about when he says they finally achieved Nirvana.
- 11:03And this has been the goal all along.
- 11:04They always say give us a place, give us a representation.
- 11:09Then they get in and they create a scenario where no one else can get in and give their
- 11:16ideas.
- 11:17And that's been the liberal agenda from day one and I got to congratulate them.
- 11:22They've worked hard and long to get us there, but they've finally pulled it off.
- 11:27Yeah, they did.
- 11:28Dominance, I think, is just one word.
- 11:30But we're going to talk about Virginia in a minute and how the Democrats are working
- 11:33to, they're changing state laws and that I guess the Virginia constitution, just sad
- 11:39what's going on in that state.
- 11:41But here's a result.
- 11:43We're talking about higher education, but we know what the K through 12 system produces.
- 11:50Social justice activists and obedient leftists because we just saw with the anti-ice protests
- 11:58students across the country joining protests with the strong encouragement of many public
- 12:05school teachers who took their students out of skip class and went out and, you know,
- 12:09the signs were lovely, F. Trump, F. ICE and other signs like that, young, taking great
- 12:16school kids and other kids out there.
- 12:18So we know what the left is producing with that system.
- 12:22But here's one of the political results.
- 12:24Mike, I want to bring up the voter ID graphic and I get your take on this and you look
- 12:29at that.
- 12:30But why don't we talk about this?
- 12:32The media won't talk about it because, you know, we know what side the Democrat media
- 12:35is on.
- 12:36Countries with voter ID.
- 12:38And the question is why isn't the U.S. on this list?
- 12:41We got Latvia, Spain, Brazil, Italy, Luxembourg, Ecuador, Iraq, Turkey, Kenya, Malta, Sweden,
- 12:52you can go on and on and on with these countries that have voter ID, but not America and the
- 12:59Democrats.
- 13:01The majority of Democrats just voted to reject the proposal to have voter ID as being
- 13:11a necessity.
- 13:12Andy, this is one of the results, right?
- 13:14Of what we're talking about.
- 13:15Well, I mean, the Democratic Party has moved so far out of the mainstream that nobody
- 13:23wants to vote for him anymore.
- 13:25I mean, the Democratic Party of today is not like the Democratic Party I grew up with
- 13:31or you could always, you could always point to mainstream Democrats.
- 13:36I mean, I remember names going back like Sam Nunn and Joseph Lieberman and there was William
- 13:43Casey, a pro-life Democrat in Pennsylvania at the time, Zell Miller, on and on, we could
- 13:52go, well, those kinds of people don't even exist anymore in the Democratic Party.
- 13:55So when you move that far to the left, you've got to bring in a new class of voters and
- 14:02this is their new class of voters, illegals.
- 14:06And so that's why they're against voter identification.
- 14:10It's for the simple reason that as voter identification gets implemented in various states, it always
- 14:17is detrimental to the Democratic Party who relies on illegal votes to get into office.
- 14:24The Democratic Party is lousy at governing.
- 14:28But I tell you one thing, David, they're really good at something.
- 14:33They know how to, I don't know if I'm going to get you in trouble for saying this, but
- 14:36they know how to cheat and they know how to steal and they know how to manipulate people
- 14:43and they know how to engage in fraud better, better than anything I've ever seen.
- 14:48And so if they're going to excel at something, this is it.
- 14:51And you're taking away from them this voter identification law or would be law, you're
- 14:58taking away from something something that they're really good at and need to survive.
- 15:03Can we just point out the fact that I believe one of the reasons that what you said is true
- 15:09is that we go by the 10 Commandments and one of those is thou shalt not lie, thou shalt
- 15:13not bear false witness, they don't have the same code, they don't have the same worldview,
- 15:18they don't have the same morality, they don't care, they'll lie, cheat, steal and people
- 15:22think it's insulting to say what you just said, I'm going, well, that's been proven now.
- 15:28You know, it's amazing.
- 15:29Andy, I know I'm preaching to the choir, but we got to take a brief pause when we come
- 15:32back.
- 15:33We're going to talk about what the Virginia leftists and Democrats and socialists are
- 15:37doing.
- 15:38And it's really sad, but we'll talk about more more of that with Andy Woods in a minute.
- 15:43Register now for the World View Matters Conference May 1 and 2nd in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

- 16:15that's worldviewmattersconference.com.
- 16:19And friends, by the way, we're adding more sponsors.

- 16:26If you want to go to worldviewmattersconference.com, there's a sponsor tab if you want it.
- 16:31If you're a Christian business or ministry that might be interested in partnering with us
- 16:35or sponsoring this conference, you never know if we'll see what God does, but it'd be interesting
- 16:40to see if we could do an annual one.
- 16:43So again, sponsorship is very important.
- 16:46The list is on the bottom of the website.
- 16:49There's many more to come, Lord willing, but Andy, I'll give you this opportunity to
- 16:52one more time to give you the website for your conference, a prof con at, it's not at
- 16:59your church, but there it is, give the website again, please.
- 17:02Yeah, it's profcon.com or go to the Sugarland Bible Church website, slbc.org or conference
- 17:10all day. Friday, February 20th, all day, Saturday, and great lineup of speakers, worldview,
- 17:17prophecy. You guys will love it.
- 17:20Good stuff. I love everyone that you have there.
- 17:23So all right, now back to Virginia and the Democrats, and I'm looking at, well, there's
- 17:28a CBN article, but you also did an article on your pastor's point of view, a radical rewrite
- 17:34for one thing on abortion and taxes.
- 17:37They're working to change state laws.
- 17:39What can you tell us?
- 17:40First of all, people were duped, I think, because she campaigned this Abigail Spanberger.
- 17:47She campaigned as a moderate and people bought it.
- 17:49What happened, Andy?
- 17:51Well, this is Thomas Jefferson's Virginia, the guy that wrote the Declaration of Independence,
- 17:59you know, Thomas Jefferson, and look at it now, you know, it was kind of moving in the
- 18:04better direction when young, youngkin was the governor and he barely got elected if I
- 18:10remember right, but you're dealing with someone that is essentially campaigning as a moderate,
- 18:19but as we said a little earlier in the other side of the break, there's no such thing as
- 18:22a Democrat moderate.
- 18:25So she wants moderation and then she gets into power with a Democrat controlled supermajority
- 18:32in the legislature, the identical situation that we have out in California.
- 18:37And where do they go?
- 18:38They always go the same place.
- 18:40They don't go into the middle ground.
- 18:42They don't go into new Democrat territory.
- 18:45They go hard left and as you read through that article, you'll read about everything that
- 18:51we hold dear, whether it's second amendment rights, pro-life, right to die, whatever you
- 18:58want to talk about, anything that's biblical, constitutional and normal is on the chopping
- 19:04block.
- 19:05And they are just moving hardcore left to the point where there's really no countervailing
- 19:11opposition anymore to the point where it looks like Virginia runs the risk of becoming
- 19:17another Minnesota or California.
- 19:20And that's just so sad.
- 19:22But one thing you said right to die, I don't think we realize, I think we're up to 12 states
- 19:26now in this country that have a euthanasia laws maybe made, Canada is made, MEID, medical
- 19:33assistance in dying.
- 19:35But Illinois was the first one in the heartland, middle America because of Governor Pritzker.
- 19:42So it's a devaluing of life.
- 19:44And that's been going on through the decades.
- 19:46But one thing they want to do in Virginia is amend the state constitution to allow abortion
- 19:51through all nine months of pregnancy.
- 19:53Now this is not surprising.
- 19:55But Andy, what are great grandparents think just by talking about this?
- 20:02Yep, go ahead.
- 20:03Can we just quit calling it abortion?
- 20:05It's in fantaside.
- 20:06Yeah.
- 20:07I mean, ninth month, you're kidding me.
- 20:11Is there some kind of dispute that what's going on in the womb of a mother is a baby?
- 20:16And we're dealing with the ninth month.
- 20:18I mean, I don't even want to have the conversation at any month because I think the medical evidence
- 20:23is clear.
- 20:24But the ninth month, you might as well wait for the baby to be born and to be, you know,
- 20:30casping for air on the operating table and to cut its head off.
- 20:34That's the moral depravity and sickness that these blue states and the left is causing
- 20:43us to sink into.
- 20:45And this is what happens when there was a book written a few years back in the 90s.
- 20:51It's called when the wicked sees a city.
- 20:54And it's detailing what happened in San Francisco when the left got control of it.
- 21:00It's narrated from the perspective of a couple of Presbyterian ministers.
- 21:06And they just said there was a total deterioration of the city.
- 21:10There was only one viewpoint allowed.
- 21:14And mobs would routinely show up at their churches and commit arts and then damaged private
- 21:21property and threatened people.
- 21:23And the book is just chilling.
- 21:26And it concludes this way, I'm paraphrasing.
- 21:30It says coming to a theater near you, in other words, if you think this is limited to San
- 21:34Francisco, you're sorely naive.
- 21:38This is coming everywhere.
- 21:40And look at what's happening in Thomas Jefferson's state of Virginia.
- 21:44Yeah.
- 21:45Yeah, there it is.
- 21:46I see it on the screen.
- 21:47Yeah, what a great grandparents would be shocked.
- 21:51They wouldn't think they wouldn't think they were in America.
- 21:54One more note from this article, executive orders, they're trying to sign several of those
- 22:00including, no surprise, barring state and local law enforcement from cooperating with
- 22:08ICE, immigration and customs enforcement.
- 22:13So Andy, help me understand this.
- 22:16They're obviously not concerned.
- 22:17The left, the Democrats, the socialists and some are communist, flat out.
- 22:22This policy is what some of them are pushing.
- 22:25They're not concerned about the laws on the laws of the land of the laws on the books,
- 22:29because we do have laws.
- 22:30You listen to Tom Homan talk about it, they're enforcing the laws and they did, he did it
- 22:35by the way under other presidents, even Democrat presidents.
- 22:39But now since it's under Trump, now the rebellion comes, you know, why they're not trying
- 22:45to, are they trying to rally their base?
- 22:48They think this, go ahead, try to help me understand this.
- 22:50Well, I mean, I'm old enough to remember when the Democrats love the national government
- 22:56but hated state's rights and look at, look at what's happening now.
- 23:00Now the shoe is completely on the other foot.
- 23:03And I think it just goes back to David, something as simple as your deporting voters.
- 23:10That's what we're really upset about.
- 23:12It's not some, it reminds me of Judas, you know, there in what is it, John 12 right
- 23:19in there where, remember, the expensive ointment was poured on Jesus.
- 23:25And Judas, you know, makes this statement there in John 12 about verses four through six
- 23:29that, you know, this should have been sold and given to the poor.
- 23:32But then it says in parenthesis, he didn't care about the poor.
- 23:36What he cared about was money in the bag that he embezzled regularly.
- 23:41So these Democrats, they don't care about poor people or immigrants, they care about power
- 23:45and they care about votes.
- 23:47And this ice, Tom Hulman situation is a threat to that.
- 23:52And that's really what they're worried about.
- 23:54So friends, if you need a little bit more ammo on this topic,
- 23:58this idea of law and order, law enforcement, let's bring up this Axios article where violent crime
- 24:06and homicides have dropped.
- 24:07And these are the largest drops in one year from 2024 to 2025.
- 24:14Look at that, Orlando 58, it's 58%, 58.3% less homicide.
- 24:24This is just homicide rates.
- 24:25So violent crimes are dropping since the Trump administration came in.
- 24:30And this is across the board pretty much.
- 24:32There's just one of the reasons we need law enforcement.
- 24:37We need them to be visible in these cities.
- 24:40But the blue cities are going to fight this.
- 24:41It's a really amazing demandy.
- 24:43We're in a different place now.
- 24:45We really are.
- 24:45And isn't, I mean, the Bible talks about lawlessness.
- 24:49I mean, I think of second Timothy three.
- 24:51I think of Isaiah 520 calling evil good and good evil.
- 24:55But what do you think, I mean, this obviously says a lot.
- 24:59It works, law enforcement works.
- 25:01And these are substantial drops in homicide rates.
- 25:06But you won't hear this on the news on the leftist media news, the Democrats.
- 25:10No, you go ahead.
- 25:12Well, the left needs chaos.
- 25:14They thrive on chaos.
- 25:16So it marks Marxism thrives on chaos.
- 25:19So people will call out for the heavy hand of Marxism.
- 25:24And so you have to sort of, you know, demonstrate to people that the current system doesn't exist.
- 25:31Well, with a Donald Trump in the White House,
- 25:33he's demonstrating that the current system is existing.
- 25:36And he's taken away the crisis for the Marxist.
- 25:39And so, you know, it's really as simple as people want power.
- 25:43And these declining crime rates aren't going to get them there.
- 25:48Yeah, so much more.
- 25:50But I really, that's one, I guess, issue that I'm a little surprised by.
- 25:56I'm not shocked that the left would try to, because as you said, chaos.
- 25:59They're all about chaos.
- 26:00And then cloud Piven, right?
- 26:02Overwhelmed the system and then provide a solution.
- 26:05And usually it's government, right?
- 26:07Governments, God, governments, the solution.
- 26:09But I'm surprised that people will still vote Democrat, even though they're doing all this.
- 26:18It's a little confusing to a lot of people and to your final thoughts.
- 26:22Well, the last election cycle shows that people have the ability to wake up.
- 26:29I mean, a lot of non-traditional voters did not vote for Democrat, voted for the other side,
- 26:34because of what the Democrats under Biden had done to the country for four years.
- 26:39And so, what you're watching right now is the left in a place of desperation.
- 26:45I haven't seen them this desperate since I've been following politics.
- 26:50And essentially, you need a new class of voters.
- 26:55Where are we going to get them from?
- 26:56Uh-huh, illegal immigrants or prisoners or whoever.
- 27:02So they're always trying to expand the rules, you know, related to voting down on voter ID.
- 27:09And that's what's really fueling this.
- 27:12And I think they're going to continue to act crazy as long as our side has the upper hand on a few
- 27:19issues. And Andy knows what he's talking about. He's down there close to the southern border.
- 27:24And, you know, Texas has changed even a lot.
- 27:27We can do a whole podcast on that and maybe talk about the mosques and everything else.
- 27:32But for a future one, Andy, to be continued with you, brother, thanks so much for your time.
- 27:36David, great to be here. Thanks for what you do.
- 27:39Appreciate it. Andy Woods Ministries.org, remember the conference coming up this weekend.
- 27:44They're friends. Thank you so much for sharing the podcast. That's how we're getting out there.
- 27:48God bless you. And as always, keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
- 27:52We'll see you next time.
