Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Wists Stocking Football and they whizz So, yeah, it's too bad,
- 0:11Speaker 2: but what did you expect.
- 0:13Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five Whistling Wine. Welcome.
- 0:19Speaker 3: We'll talk to Dylan Gabriel coming up. He is the
- 0:22Speaker 3: current Heisman favorite. He was at UCF for two years,
- 0:25Speaker 3: Oklahoma for a year.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Now he's at Oregon and let me just say we
- 0:29Speaker 1: spent some time with him.
- 0:30Speaker 3: We were up there, so the interview was in person
- 0:32Speaker 3: and the first thing he said to me was, Hey,
- 0:34Speaker 3: I heard you just bench two thirty five.
- 0:36Speaker 1: The whatever it was, I don't remember. Eddie had to
- 0:39Speaker 1: remind me of that.
- 0:39Speaker 3: That made me feel good because I had just put
- 0:42Speaker 3: up two green plates and he came up and said
- 0:45Speaker 3: a word on the street or whatever he said.
- 0:46Speaker 4: I liked it.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I was like, thanks man. Then Eddie made me feel
- 0:49Speaker 1: like it's being recruited. It was awesome.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Dude, like words traveling around every about coach.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Did you hear?
- 0:55Speaker 5: So?
- 0:55Speaker 3: Well, we'll talk to him in a few minutes. I
- 0:57Speaker 3: did want to start talking about the NFL quarterback situation.
- 1:00Speaker 3: It's camp time, which is cool because now it officially
- 1:02Speaker 3: starts and the story is the drama. Jordan loves holding out.
- 1:07Speaker 3: I'd hold out too if I were him. Ceedee Lamb's
- 1:09Speaker 3: holding out. And we'll get to all this, but I
- 1:11Speaker 3: do want to talk about the quarterback situations first, and
- 1:14Speaker 3: we can kind of roll through each division and some
- 1:18Speaker 3: of them there is no situation. For example, AFC South
- 1:20Speaker 3: with the Texans, there is no situation.
- 1:23Speaker 1: C J. Stroud is the quarterback.
- 1:25Speaker 3: And it will be interesting to me to see if
- 1:28Speaker 3: he can continue and doesn't have a sophomore slump. Bigger
- 1:33Speaker 3: body of work now in the NFL for people to
- 1:35Speaker 3: look at and scrutinize and find out what he's not
- 1:37Speaker 3: good at and make him do that more. But I
- 1:40Speaker 3: hope to God that he has a good season, and
- 1:42Speaker 3: I will tell you why. Katie and I've been working
- 1:45Speaker 3: on a project with my cards sports cards.
- 1:47Speaker 1: I have a lot of CJ. Strod rookie cards.
- 1:49Speaker 6: Oh yeah, just a couple.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I have a lot. So I've heavily invested in CJ.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Stroud being good again.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I see.
- 1:55Speaker 3: So that for me is a personal interest and I
- 1:58Speaker 3: hope so I hope I was wrong about last show
- 1:59Speaker 3: on like he can't.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Keep this up, He can't keep this up. Trevor Lawrence.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Can he be the guy in Jacksonville and in the
- 2:06Speaker 3: NFL that everybody thought he was going to be when
- 2:09Speaker 3: he was drafted number one overall. He was the best
- 2:12Speaker 3: high school quarterback, he was the best college quarterback. You
- 2:14Speaker 3: knew he was going to be the number one pick
- 2:15Speaker 3: the moment he was a freshman when he came in
- 2:17Speaker 3: as a freshman in one because he came in mid season, right,
- 2:22Speaker 3: he was the dude? And so can he be elite?
- 2:24Speaker 3: Got a new contract? I think they should have given
- 2:26Speaker 3: him a new contract.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I love it.
- 2:27Speaker 3: I think he's awesome. He's had three head coaches in
- 2:30Speaker 3: three years. It's very much like when we'll talk about
- 2:33Speaker 3: the Chargers in a second. It's tough for somebody to
- 2:37Speaker 3: be consistently really good or great when they have no
- 2:39Speaker 3: consistency around them. And I think I think Trevor Lawrence
- 2:44Speaker 3: can be awesome. But this again is going to be
- 2:46Speaker 3: the year they's really got to prove it. I mean,
- 2:50Speaker 3: he's gonna get paid, but our expectations are going to
- 2:52Speaker 3: lower on Trevor Lawrence. I still have high expectations and
- 2:56Speaker 3: I got a few Trevor Lawrence rookie carters So here's
- 2:59Speaker 3: the thing I bought. I still I believe in Trevor Lawrence.
- 3:01Speaker 3: So what I'll do, and it's not even a card thing.
- 3:03Speaker 3: If it's somebody that I think is really good and
- 3:05Speaker 3: hasn't quite hit it yet, I'll go and invest in
- 3:08Speaker 3: the cards part of them, because I don't buy everybody,
- 3:10Speaker 3: and I don't buy some of the people I know
- 3:11Speaker 3: are going to be great or that already are great,
- 3:14Speaker 3: because the market's already way up. And so I think
- 3:17Speaker 3: Trevor Lawrence can be elite. Doug Peterson another year. He's
- 3:22Speaker 3: proven he can coach Anthony richardson man dynamic for like
- 3:29Speaker 3: a quarter and then he got hurt.
- 3:31Speaker 1: It's actually a little more than that. But yeah, I
- 3:33Speaker 1: mean he plays.
- 3:33Speaker 3: He was lowering his head running into people at Florida.
- 3:37Speaker 3: That might be okay against Southern Florida, but again, he
- 3:43Speaker 3: didn't have a long resume at Florida.
- 3:45Speaker 1: He left after his junior year.
- 3:48Speaker 3: But he only played one year on year.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Yeah, one year.
- 3:54Speaker 3: If he can limit his risk, man, I think he
- 3:59Speaker 3: can be so good.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Yeah, because he's also strong.
- 4:03Speaker 3: It's not a two or a Brice Young situation where
- 4:08Speaker 3: I think those guys can be really good, but they're slight.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Anthony Richard's not slight, so he can still run a
- 4:15Speaker 3: bit and get hit a little bit, but he can't
- 4:17Speaker 3: run a whole lot and get hit a whole lot.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Because what's going to happen is what happened last year
- 4:22Speaker 1: and the dorm dudes.
- 4:23Speaker 2: They gave my son a box to break and it
- 4:26Speaker 2: was the autographed Anthony richardson football. So if he does well,
- 4:29Speaker 2: we can sell that ball for some good money.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I would argue the good money part, but I think
- 4:34Speaker 1: it can sell for a little more.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Well, good money because we didn't pay anything for it.
- 4:37Speaker 1: It's already good money.
- 4:38Speaker 4: But money.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Will Levis what wait, we don't even know. I don't
- 4:44Speaker 3: have high expectations for Will Levis. The good thing is
- 4:47Speaker 3: he's in an offense now that the team is built
- 4:50Speaker 3: around the offense. The Bengals coordinators now the head coach
- 4:52Speaker 3: of the Titans.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I have no idea.
- 4:57Speaker 6: They got some talent.
- 4:58Speaker 3: They had the receiving yeah really good, Yeah right, I
- 5:02Speaker 3: mean the receiving corps. DeAndre Hopkins okay, a little older
- 5:05Speaker 3: but still legit possession receiver. He also won't follow me
- 5:09Speaker 3: on Instagram, so hey, so low older possion. Receivers will
- 5:12Speaker 3: call him. He from the Jaguars. Got Calvin Ridley, who
- 5:18Speaker 3: older m well, but he sat out of here.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Remember he gambled. He's got fresher legs.
- 5:23Speaker 2: He gambled, and I think he was injured for a
- 5:25Speaker 2: I mean almost a month last year, fresh legs.
- 5:29Speaker 5: Uh.
- 5:29Speaker 3: And then Treylon Berks, who's probably gonna be their fourth receiver,
- 5:33Speaker 3: third or fourth receiver at this point. Yes, the receiving
- 5:36Speaker 3: in the offensive line. They invest in the offensive line.
- 5:38Speaker 3: We know this because we live here. Defensively, they're they're fine,
- 5:42Speaker 3: They're pretty good in this division. It's I do think
- 5:47Speaker 3: the Texans of the Jaguars win the division. I don't
- 5:53Speaker 3: think the tie. But it's such a coin This is
- 5:55Speaker 3: the most coin flippy of all divisions. The AFC and
- 5:58Speaker 3: the NFT South are both like just chunk a coin
- 6:01Speaker 3: up in the air suicide at lands On because I
- 6:04Speaker 3: feel like nobody because I just can't believe in the Texans.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Everybody's too new and young. Even though they were great
- 6:09Speaker 3: rookie head coach, rookie quarterback. They were great last year.
- 6:11Speaker 3: That's the only reason I'm saying I don't believe yet,
- 6:14Speaker 3: because they haven't.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I don't have enough of a resume. So what we're
- 6:18Speaker 1: gonna say, Kevin.
- 6:18Speaker 6: I was gonna say, the difference is between those two
- 6:20Speaker 6: Souths is like the NFC South not very good. But
- 6:24Speaker 6: the AFC South you have the two teams on top,
- 6:26Speaker 6: like the Texans Jaguars, you can be really good.
- 6:29Speaker 3: But if the Jaguars been good, that's the thing. We
- 6:31Speaker 3: keep thinking they're going to be good, but they haven't been.
- 6:35Speaker 1: But I hear you. I feel they didn't want to
- 6:36Speaker 1: play off game a couple of years ago.
- 6:37Speaker 6: Yeah, where they came back. Yeah yeah, gets the Chargers right,
- 6:40Speaker 6: yeah yeah.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Let's go to the AFC West, the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes
- 6:45Speaker 3: is the quarterback. Will they win a third title in
- 6:47Speaker 3: a row?
- 6:47Speaker 1: That's pretty cool. They're not even a villain to me?
- 6:50Speaker 1: Is what's crazy. You're talking about a dynasty.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Right on the edge of being a diet No one's
- 6:57Speaker 3: ever won three in a row. But if you win two,
- 7:00Speaker 3: you're off a couple of years you went and that
- 7:02Speaker 3: you haven't.
- 7:02Speaker 1: That's a dynasty. So they're really close to a dynasty,
- 7:05Speaker 1: but a super dynasty and we don't even hate them.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right. Why is that, why don't we hate
- 7:09Speaker 2: the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Patrick Mallomes is very likable, and he read is likable.
- 7:14Speaker 3: They do commercials where they're likable.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I like the Little Nuggies. They're doing strategic things to
- 7:20Speaker 1: be like.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Now, other teams can be jealous of them, like Kevin
- 7:23Speaker 3: because he was a Patriots dynasty fan.
- 7:25Speaker 1: So he's like, I don't know, I hate them. I
- 7:27Speaker 1: don't like him, right, I don't like them, But.
- 7:29Speaker 3: There's no reason to not like them unless you just
- 7:31Speaker 3: don't like that they're winning.
- 7:33Speaker 1: With the Patriots. There were reasons to not like the Patriots.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I like the Patriots, but there were reasons. Spygate, they
- 7:39Speaker 1: got caught cheating the flat gate with the balls authentic, stupid, no,
- 7:42Speaker 1: but but there were reasons to not have a You
- 7:46Speaker 1: have a killer tied end he's murdering people. Oh gosh,
- 7:49Speaker 1: not good press. So there were reasons to not like
- 7:52Speaker 1: the Patriots.
- 7:54Speaker 3: But the Raiders with the quarterback situation, who knows they
- 7:57Speaker 3: have Gardner Minshaw and An O'Connell. I mean, they didn't
- 8:00Speaker 3: bring Minshew in to not start. That was the deal
- 8:02Speaker 3: because he went in and played well after Anthony Richardson
- 8:05Speaker 3: went down they didn't bring him in to not at
- 8:07Speaker 3: least compete for that job. I've if I were. There
- 8:13Speaker 3: are two players on it. There are two really great
- 8:15Speaker 3: players on the team.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Can you name them? Mady on the Raiders Adams Devanta Adams,
- 8:20Speaker 1: I would want out of their immediately, even though he
- 8:21Speaker 1: wanted in. I'd one out, Yeah, Crosby, that's it nice,
- 8:26Speaker 1: I'd one out.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Unless you just love the slot machines. I would like
- 8:31Speaker 3: to be elite, and especially with Adams, he's getting an
- 8:33Speaker 3: older ish not old, because a receiver can go longer
- 8:38Speaker 3: than a running back can, especially if you're a receiver
- 8:40Speaker 3: that's not lightning. If you're a strong physical receiver like
- 8:45Speaker 3: a Davante Adams, you can go to thirty four, thirty five.
- 8:50Speaker 1: But the Raiders are going to suck, right, Yeah, the
- 8:52Speaker 1: Broncos are going to suck. Same division, Yeah, Bo Knicks,
- 8:56Speaker 1: Jared Stidham, Zach Wilson. What the crab crap shoot I
- 9:01Speaker 1: did on dorm dues last night when an authentic, fully
- 9:04Speaker 1: gold Broncos boat next helmet.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Oh, that's cool, it's really cool. I wish it'd have
- 9:08Speaker 3: been like John Elway.
- 9:09Speaker 6: But but out of those three, that's the best one
- 9:12Speaker 6: out of those three.
- 9:13Speaker 1: There's a higher ceiling. Yeah, I don't know the nickt starts.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I mean Zach, I don't know who starts. Zach Wilson.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Just from reading what you read and occasionally talking to
- 9:27Speaker 3: somebody who's almost in the note, seemed like a huge douchebag,
- 9:31Speaker 3: even when he would do press and blame blame it
- 9:33Speaker 3: on everybody but himself, and you hear little stories here
- 9:35Speaker 3: and there.
- 9:36Speaker 1: He's the one that hooked up with his mom's that
- 9:37Speaker 1: also is douchebaggy. It's awesome, don't Yeah, what do you
- 9:41Speaker 1: mean with the whole thing was true?
- 9:43Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 9:43Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Oh I thought it was fake.
- 9:45Speaker 1: No, from what I know is true.
- 9:47Speaker 6: That's great.
- 9:49Speaker 3: So that Broncos the Raiders, in the Broncos quarterback situations terrible.
- 9:54Speaker 3: They would be what the AFC or n SC South
- 9:56Speaker 3: has been, except for they have the Chiefs.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Yeah, and then.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Possibly the Chargers, which should be pretty good this year.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Justin Herbert has no receivers. Their best receiver went to
- 10:09Speaker 3: the Bears, but he does now have stability and a
- 10:11Speaker 3: head coach is going to be there a while with harball,
- 10:13Speaker 3: and they were going to run the ball a lot
- 10:14Speaker 3: what are the Bears can Allen? Yes, yeah, So Justin
- 10:20Speaker 3: Herbert needs to win, but I don't think he needs
- 10:22Speaker 3: to win as much as like a Trevor Lawrence needs
- 10:25Speaker 3: to win. Take the contracts out because Justin Herbert's in
- 10:28Speaker 3: that part of his deal. He's about to sign a
- 10:30Speaker 3: new contract, Trevor Lawrence. We're gonna our expectations are going
- 10:33Speaker 3: to fall on Trevor Lawrence. Right, isn't Herbert's deal coming up?
- 10:37Speaker 3: Or they have to figure he already did he did?
- 10:39Speaker 6: Yeah? Well last year got it? Lawrence? Is this year?
- 10:42Speaker 1: I think two years ago? When did Herbert get drafted
- 10:46Speaker 1: ninety three?
- 10:46Speaker 2: I think he's been there for four years?
- 10:49Speaker 4: Really?
- 10:49Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, I think Justin Herbert gets this year and
- 10:52Speaker 3: the next. If we're giving Trevor Lawrence two years of Peterson,
- 10:56Speaker 3: I think Justin Herbert gets two years with Harball. Yeah,
- 11:01Speaker 3: even though the contract thing that was completely wrong about.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I'm thinking of another quarterback. Then it's owded deal.
- 11:06Speaker 6: Still like this year, waiting on it.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Yeah, Jordan Tua, Dak Jordan Love Oh, come back a
- 11:14Speaker 3: FC East, Josh Allen, Who the heck's he gonna throw to?
- 11:18Speaker 1: Yeah, he's got me. Eddie and Kevin playing wide receiver
- 11:20Speaker 1: for him nothing, He's gonna have to use his legs again.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Well, Patrick Mahomes had nothing the year the last year
- 11:27Speaker 3: when he won the Super Bowl.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Yeah, well he had, Travis Kelsey Okay had a tight end.
- 11:32Speaker 3: I'm talking about receivers like stretch the field, create space.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Heart Hardman, mccallhart.
- 11:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean yeah, Coleman, the rookie.
- 11:42Speaker 3: The race car, the race car driver Vegas run office, Dallas, Dallas,
- 11:48Speaker 3: remember the Rerectus car.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah yeah, Rice. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 11:54Speaker 1: We have to be like racecar driver. I thought you've
- 11:58Speaker 1: been like a real nap had or touchdown to any
- 12:00Speaker 1: other quarterback last year, like nine or ten more than
- 12:03Speaker 1: any other quarterback last year, Like no one doubts him.
- 12:05Speaker 1: But he's having to do it all. What can he do?
- 12:08Speaker 1: So he's firmly in trench. But the situation there is
- 12:10Speaker 1: they but they have to win. It's something.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Yeah, they're like the Ravens now with Lamar Jackson in
- 12:15Speaker 3: the next couple of years.
- 12:16Speaker 1: They have to win or they're just not going to win.
- 12:18Speaker 6: And they've almost taken a step back, or at least
- 12:21Speaker 6: the Raiders last I mean the Ravens last year got
- 12:23Speaker 6: to the AFC Championship Lamar one MVP, where the Bills
- 12:26Speaker 6: the last couple of years kind of taking a step back.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Tua is wanting a new contract. He's looking to earn
- 12:31Speaker 3: a new contract. He will get paid. I mean, sixty
- 12:34Speaker 3: million is that top, top top now with where those
- 12:38Speaker 3: quarterback salaries have gone, if you get the six up front,
- 12:40Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like they'll give two.
- 12:41Speaker 1: To fifty two fifty three. I don't think he gets sixty.
- 12:46Speaker 1: I don't think he's that quarterback. But you don't have
- 12:48Speaker 1: to be that quarterback to get the most. You just
- 12:50Speaker 1: need to be that quarterback around the time when your
- 12:52Speaker 1: contract's coming out. Yes, because it's so hard to have
- 12:55Speaker 1: a good quarterback, not a great, it's so hard to
- 12:57Speaker 1: even have a good quarterback. You can have a O'Connell, Garden,
- 13:01Speaker 1: Minshew or Gardner, Mitch Jared Cinema, Zach Wilson, Bick. If
- 13:04Speaker 1: it were easy, every team would have a pretty good quarterback.
- 13:07Speaker 1: It's not. The Jets have Aaron Rodgers. Okay, what do
- 13:13Speaker 1: you wanna do?
- 13:15Speaker 3: What do you wanna do? I mean, what do you
- 13:16Speaker 3: wanna do? I don't know Leg's hurt, not hurt. Who's
- 13:19Speaker 3: the backup who just went up there? Yeah it's somebody
- 13:23Speaker 3: we know. I saw he was back in. But okay,
- 13:26Speaker 3: we everybody knows that story. Let's say the Jets are
- 13:28Speaker 3: any good. I mean, what's the Patriots like? At least
- 13:32Speaker 3: I understand why they don't have a quarterback.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Who's their backup?
- 13:35Speaker 6: Arod Taylor?
- 13:36Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 13:36Speaker 3: Wow, the Patriots, we understand why they're going to suck
- 13:39Speaker 3: a quarterback. Jacoby Brissette will probably be the starter at
- 13:42Speaker 3: your team, wouldn't you assume? Yeah, he'll probably be the starter.
- 13:46Speaker 3: But when will Drake may play? In a perfect situation,
- 13:49Speaker 3: he wants to play at all. Wouldn't that be great
- 13:51Speaker 3: if he didn't have to play it all this year?
- 13:53Speaker 6: Yeah, I wouldn't be upset about that.
- 13:55Speaker 3: That means they're giving you the old Seahawk try where
- 13:59Speaker 3: the Sea Hawks weren't expected to be any good. They
- 14:02Speaker 3: got a quarterback that that played with the Giants that
- 14:04Speaker 3: I've been all around the world, and he ends up
- 14:07Speaker 3: getting a big contract now in Seattle. And it's like,
- 14:09Speaker 3: if you could get that from Jacoby.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Precent just a year of one of not eight and nine,
- 14:15Speaker 1: nine and eight that's I ain't gonna happen. The Patriots
- 14:17Speaker 1: are not ready for that. But that would be cool.
- 14:19Speaker 1: So yeah, even seven wins, I think he's good. If
- 14:21Speaker 1: you could just let Drake Maye like just wade in and.
- 14:25Speaker 6: Then we go get a receiver Seedy Lamb maybe next year.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Hilarious quarterback situation with the Ravens. Lamar Jackson is the
- 14:34Speaker 1: can he stay healthy narrative over after one year? Is
- 14:37Speaker 1: that narrative? Is it done? I don't feel like anybody's
- 14:41Speaker 1: talking about it. I watched him a lot this last year.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I love Lamar Jackson. I watched him a lot this
- 14:47Speaker 1: last year.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Strategically get down a lot like he breaks it and
- 14:52Speaker 3: he's doing the opposite of what Anthony Richardson did. But
- 14:54Speaker 3: he's also not the same size Anthony Richardson is. But
- 14:57Speaker 3: Lamar Jackson strategically doesn't get hit and a lot of
- 15:01Speaker 3: times you don't have Like Josh Allen, he freaking takes
- 15:04Speaker 3: people on, but he's big and you don't want him
- 15:07Speaker 3: doing that. They don't want him doing that. But Lamar's pretty.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Smart about it. But can he get to the super Bowl?
- 15:12Speaker 3: I think if he can get and win a Super
- 15:13Speaker 3: Bowl He's then a top twenty all time quarterback if
- 15:18Speaker 3: he wins a Super based on the MVPs based on
- 15:20Speaker 3: what he's done. Deshaun Watson and the Browns, I don't know.
- 15:27Speaker 3: I don't like him. Who the Browns are DeShawn Deshaun Watson.
- 15:32Speaker 3: I always feel bad for a fan base whenever somebody
- 15:34Speaker 3: on their team or coaching staff does something so heinous.
- 15:36Speaker 3: It's like, I feel bad for Penn State fans because
- 15:39Speaker 3: the worst thing ever happened.
- 15:41Speaker 1: It's not their fault, it's not and they have.
- 15:42Speaker 3: To be embarrassed now because terrible, terrible people. Sandusky did
- 15:46Speaker 3: terrible thing, and that is and the Browns. You hear,
- 15:50Speaker 3: a Browns fan, and you paid all this money for
- 15:52Speaker 3: DeShawn Watson, you guarantee him all this money, and now
- 15:54Speaker 3: he's your guy and you have to go root for him.
- 15:57Speaker 6: And he's not good.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Last year he came in. I agree. I don't know.
- 16:04Speaker 1: It's been winning, will he'll it's been four years since
- 16:06Speaker 1: he's been good, yeah, right, basically because he's hurt, yeah,
- 16:11Speaker 1: or suspended. He got suspended too for a.
- 16:13Speaker 3: While, right, yeah, yeah, he didn't ye like that wasn't
- 16:17Speaker 3: he just missed the off season. It was hurt and
- 16:19Speaker 3: he's suspended too. Russell Wilson. That with the Steelers is
- 16:23Speaker 3: interesting at quarterback situation because Justin Field's far more dynamic.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Justin Fields.
- 16:29Speaker 3: If you just watch YouTube and highlights, you're like, god
- 16:32Speaker 3: d this guy is Lamar Jackson. But Justin Fields, when
- 16:35Speaker 3: you're not watching the highlights, his his floor is way lower.
- 16:39Speaker 1: But it would be really cool if just if Justin
- 16:41Speaker 1: Fields could because I don't know what they want from
- 16:43Speaker 1: Russell Wilson did the Steelers don't think they're gonna be
- 16:45Speaker 1: very good. When does Russell Wilson get pulled?
- 16:50Speaker 3: They signed him for what's a one year deal, right, yeah,
- 16:52Speaker 3: and they're paying him like a dollar because he's making
- 16:54Speaker 3: all the money from Denver. Still, he had all that
- 16:58Speaker 3: money from that guaranteed deal there.
- 17:00Speaker 6: I think there as long as they're in playoff contention,
- 17:02Speaker 6: he'll stay there.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I hope Justin Fields ends up getting another shot at it.
- 17:07Speaker 1: He will eventually if Darnold can get another shots. He
- 17:12Speaker 1: got a couple of shots Jets Carolina. But Joe Burrow,
- 17:17Speaker 1: I don't know that he is. He injury prone at
- 17:20Speaker 1: this point, not just unlucky with injuries, but is he
- 17:23Speaker 1: injury prone?
- 17:25Speaker 6: I would say, yeah, he needs.
- 17:27Speaker 3: To lamar this season and just be completely healthy because
- 17:31Speaker 3: he's a guy. I mean, if we were ranking quarterbacks,
- 17:33Speaker 3: so you would draft right now, obviously you take my
- 17:35Speaker 3: homes at one, but then in a vacuum where there
- 17:40Speaker 3: are no injuries, Burrow's in the conversation at two where
- 17:45Speaker 3: you could go Burrow or Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson,
- 17:49Speaker 3: but Burrow is in it. And if somebody took Burrow,
- 17:50Speaker 3: you'd be like, I get it, I get it.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Yeah, but we're not in a vacuum and there are injuries,
- 17:54Speaker 1: so that'd be fun.
- 17:55Speaker 3: To see him be good. You see his haircut like
- 17:59Speaker 3: it's died blonde and like cut short.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I think I thoughts.
- 18:02Speaker 6: Pretty cool too.
- 18:04Speaker 3: He could he pulls it off well, yeah, because he's
- 18:07Speaker 3: just kind of like, you know, he didn't give a
- 18:09Speaker 3: he's cool.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Yeah, So it's just I mean he worked, yeah.
- 18:12Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:13Speaker 1: I don't know why I like Joe Burrow.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Usually I'm like, I don't like those dudes that are
- 18:17Speaker 3: all laugh but he's always been cocky and funny and
- 18:21Speaker 3: and and can ride the line not cocky, it's being
- 18:23Speaker 3: funny at the same time.
- 18:24Speaker 1: But he can be like super cocky or it could
- 18:25Speaker 1: be like self effacing.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Even in at LSU is cocky. But I guess if
- 18:30Speaker 3: you can back it up to Cowboys, I don't know.
- 18:34Speaker 3: I don't know what's happening.
- 18:36Speaker 1: It's kind of a mess right now.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Well, just with Dak in general. Uh, like he needs
- 18:42Speaker 3: a contract, yep? Can he win a big game?
- 18:46Speaker 1: Yep?
- 18:46Speaker 3: You know he can win regular season games, He's done it.
- 18:48Speaker 3: He's a great regular season MVP.
- 18:52Speaker 2: He gets to those playoffs a different story, dang.
- 18:55Speaker 1: So, but Dak is the quarterback edie that we're talking about.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Who would be the backup yesterday? I would have been
- 19:01Speaker 3: Rush or would it be Cooper Rush again? Like it
- 19:03Speaker 3: was like, but has Trey Lance developed enough to where
- 19:06Speaker 3: you give him a run so you can use him
- 19:07Speaker 3: to trade?
- 19:08Speaker 6: You kind of have to, like, you know what Cooper
- 19:10Speaker 6: is and that's fine, but you kind of have to
- 19:12Speaker 6: give trade a chance.
- 19:13Speaker 1: But Cooper is solid, I mean, he's I know, but
- 19:15Speaker 1: you're obviously trying to win around Yeah, but you're trying
- 19:17Speaker 1: to win games. Yeah, you trying to win games. Yeah,
- 19:20Speaker 1: you probably go with the highest ceiling. Yeah, and that's
- 19:24Speaker 1: probably Trey Lance but also a lower floor. He could
- 19:26Speaker 1: also be way worse than Cooper Rush could be. Trade
- 19:30Speaker 1: Lance was everybody thought that dude for a second.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Remember he came out of COVID though, when they couldn't
- 19:35Speaker 3: go and watch him play as much, the were less
- 19:37Speaker 3: game Rookie of the year.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I'm just saying that high expectations.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Oh okay, that then that's not rookie of the year.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Oh it's not bad. You confuse me because I was like,
- 19:47Speaker 1: oh man, I did I miss that he was not
- 19:49Speaker 1: Trey Lance.
- 19:51Speaker 3: You know, he played at North Dakota and like he
- 19:54Speaker 3: was dominating a competition level that isn't quite Division one
- 19:59Speaker 3: power or five, and the coaches couldn't really work because
- 20:03Speaker 3: again nobody could get anywhere because of COVID.
- 20:05Speaker 1: So he'll get another shot to start, though, I think
- 20:08Speaker 1: at some point if Sam Darnold can have nine jobs and.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Then the Cowboys running back situation is just like, oh, go,
- 20:15Speaker 2: that's what are we doing?
- 20:17Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts, He'll he'll have amazing weapons around him. What's
- 20:22Speaker 1: gonna be crazy is they won't have their their flag
- 20:26Speaker 1: in their offensive line with Kelsey.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that he was the leader of the
- 20:32Speaker 2: touch push and it all started with him.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Jalen Hurts, I think is really good new offensive coordinator.
- 20:40Speaker 3: I don't think he's anything to prove. If he has
- 20:42Speaker 3: a bad year, have something approved next year. I think
- 20:44Speaker 3: the Eagle will be good. Saquon is gonna be awesome. Yeah,
- 20:47Speaker 3: they got two excellent receivers.
- 20:49Speaker 6: There, so their defense is still a little iffy, but
- 20:52Speaker 6: their offense is good.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Daniel Jones, I don't know, dude. I don't know what
- 20:55Speaker 1: he gonna do. He had an a cl tear. But
- 20:58Speaker 1: also you know Danielson's move. He ran.
- 21:00Speaker 3: We're all surprised because he's like he's white. We're like,
- 21:02Speaker 3: look at the white guy. He's pretty fast.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Well he'd run and then remember he'd like fall over himself.
- 21:10Speaker 1: But he was fast until he fell over, until he
- 21:12Speaker 1: fell over. That happens to me, man, when I play
- 21:14Speaker 1: like softball and stuff. It's okay, I get it.
- 21:16Speaker 3: The Commander's quarterback situation with Jade Daniels, they're acting like
- 21:19Speaker 3: dude's a doverin like dog dog.
- 21:23Speaker 1: He's slight at least he feels like he was slight
- 21:26Speaker 1: at LSU. Anytime I would see me, he look thin.
- 21:28Speaker 3: But I've watched the little Most of the practice plays
- 21:31Speaker 3: that I've seen though from the commanders were on Brandon
- 21:33Speaker 3: Iuk's Instagram and he was like, want to be traded
- 21:36Speaker 3: and here's the commander's practice. So it's not like I
- 21:38Speaker 3: have a bun. But you know, you believe a report.
- 21:42Speaker 3: ALLAR reports are pretty much going to be glow wing.
- 21:45Speaker 3: But these they're acting like. Jane Daniels is awesome.
- 21:47Speaker 6: We'll see him in a few weeks too, we hear
- 21:50Speaker 6: in Washington, Oh we will, we will be yeah, yeah
- 21:53Speaker 6: in person.
- 21:54Speaker 3: And finally, in the NFC North, we have three more divisions.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Jared Golf's great, he has Jared Goff is a Jared
- 22:02Speaker 3: Goff is a really good quurt.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Jared Goff is a top ten quarterback. I would take
- 22:05Speaker 1: Jared Golf over Dak.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that's stupid, stupid, but okay, I respect your opinion.
- 22:12Speaker 1: You just said it was stupid and then you said
- 22:13Speaker 1: to respect respect you, thank you. Maybe not that opinion.
- 22:16Speaker 1: I think Jared. I would take Jared Goff over DAK
- 22:19Speaker 1: as a quarterback.
- 22:20Speaker 2: You yeah, on what, like, what what makes you say
- 22:24Speaker 2: that he's won left game to the Super Bowl? Okay,
- 22:29Speaker 2: sure I get that.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Yeah, what the packer's gonna do. Jordan Love, I would
- 22:36Speaker 1: not play either. I wouldn't.
- 22:37Speaker 3: I would skip camp because it's all. It takes his
- 22:40Speaker 3: one little tear, yeah, and your value goes way down.
- 22:43Speaker 6: And the good thing is he is there, hanging out
- 22:45Speaker 6: with the team meetings and all. He's just not doing
- 22:47Speaker 6: anything physical.
- 22:48Speaker 3: And I completely understand why a player would hold out
- 22:54Speaker 3: instead of going to practice and risking yourself injury during
- 22:58Speaker 3: a contract year when you know you're gonna stay with
- 23:00Speaker 3: that team for a long time, right, His goal is
- 23:02Speaker 3: to stay with the team, So I support it.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I support it if.
- 23:08Speaker 3: You know you're going to get a contract. If you
- 23:10Speaker 3: don't know you're gonna it's a different story. But if
- 23:12Speaker 3: you know you're gonna that there will be a deal.
- 23:15Speaker 3: I'm gonna wait until we get the deal done before
- 23:17Speaker 3: i go practice the vikings.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I don't know who's gonna be.
- 23:20Speaker 3: JJ McCarthy, Aaron Donald, not Aaron Donald though, because Aaron
- 23:24Speaker 3: Donald played defense. Sam Donald, who have said eight times
- 23:29Speaker 3: and size difference different. I think Sam Donald has a
- 23:34Speaker 3: much higher floor. I don't know who has the higher
- 23:38Speaker 3: ceiling of the two. J. J. McCarthy didn't have to
- 23:41Speaker 3: throw a lot in Michigan, but when he did, he
- 23:42Speaker 3: was great. But I don't know who has a higher ceiling.
- 23:46Speaker 3: I know Donald has the higher floor, and he has weapons,
- 23:52Speaker 3: he has two receivers, he has positive you know, probably
- 23:55Speaker 3: the best number one in the game, Jamar Chase obviously
- 23:59Speaker 3: in that conversation, well, Tyreek, but and Jordan Adison your
- 24:02Speaker 3: second a sophomore.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Pretty good. Yeah, Like you can't really let those guys
- 24:06Speaker 1: waste a year.
- 24:07Speaker 6: Just no more Dewey's d uys.
- 24:10Speaker 1: That goes for.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Everybody, though, every athlete, every human, and we're doing all
- 24:13Speaker 3: of us. Yes, Caleb Williams with the Bears. It is
- 24:18Speaker 3: the most loaded offense I've in my life. I've ever
- 24:21Speaker 3: seen a rookie quarterback going to I don't know that
- 24:26Speaker 3: should be. And he's the top five overall prospect in
- 24:30Speaker 3: the past ten fifteen years. So if somebody can, he can.
- 24:35Speaker 3: But I think the expectations will be on him too,
- 24:36Speaker 3: which normally they're.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Not for rookies.
- 24:38Speaker 3: There are mid expectations even for big rookies because they
- 24:41Speaker 3: go well, rookie.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Can't do it well. Two things happened. CJ. Strout had
- 24:44Speaker 1: a great year last year.
- 24:45Speaker 3: It was like when Adrian Peterson held up from losing
- 24:47Speaker 3: a leg in five minutes and came back, and they're like, well,
- 24:50Speaker 3: if Adrian Peterson can do it, everybody can do it.
- 24:53Speaker 3: So Kayleb Williams will have higher expectations than most rookies
- 24:56Speaker 3: because one he's a top fiver overall, and then two,
- 25:02Speaker 3: that offense is stacked, even in.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Running back because that running back catches passes as well.
- 25:10Speaker 3: And that's so Caleb Williams and the Bears, that'll be
- 25:12Speaker 3: fun to watch NFC South. Baker Mayfield, one hundred million
- 25:16Speaker 3: dollar man, was last year of Fluke. We used to
- 25:18Speaker 3: be a big Baker show. Then he wouldn't mess with
- 25:21Speaker 3: me back. Then we're gonna go talk to them this
- 25:24Speaker 3: weekend and that could be awkward.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Yeah. So I don't know that the Bucks are very good.
- 25:30Speaker 3: I like Baker Mayfield. I think he is a grinder
- 25:32Speaker 3: fighter for sure. I don't know he can win this
- 25:35Speaker 3: division because the division kind of sucks. I think Kirk
- 25:38Speaker 3: Cousins coming to the Falcons raises the division up a
- 25:40Speaker 3: level though, because I think that's.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Probably the team to beat.
- 25:46Speaker 3: I mean probably because they have a legitimate quarterback and
- 25:49Speaker 3: if that Achilles is healed and he can do what
- 25:52Speaker 3: he does, which is get the ball to the guys
- 25:54Speaker 3: that can make the play. Like Atlanta will probably be
- 25:57Speaker 3: the team to beat in the NFC South.
- 26:01Speaker 1: I love Bryce Young. They didn't give him a lot still,
- 26:05Speaker 1: Oh man, he was always under pressure.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Is it batter year for Bryce? As soon as he
- 26:10Speaker 3: got the ball, dude's running for his life. Any improvement
- 26:12Speaker 3: at all would be great. That's a good way to
- 26:14Speaker 3: put new code. Any improvement at all. And then I
- 26:17Speaker 3: don't even know the Saints th but this this is
- 26:19Speaker 3: a worthless division. The Saints they're not gonna win it.
- 26:23Speaker 3: The next car gonna do. The Panthers they're not gonna
- 26:26Speaker 3: win it. And if any improvement by Bryce thing happens
- 26:29Speaker 3: at all, that's a big win. A big win for
- 26:31Speaker 3: them is improvement with Bryce Young. It's not even like
- 26:33Speaker 3: winning the division of crappy division.
- 26:35Speaker 6: Did you see him show up to camp with backpack?
- 26:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, hi kid?
- 26:41Speaker 3: So it's like the Falcons. It's the Falcons to lose
- 26:47Speaker 3: with the Bucks there like reminding them. We also played football.
- 26:52Speaker 1: NFC West Brock Party, what's the deal? How do you
- 26:55Speaker 1: feel about Rock Party?
- 26:56Speaker 2: Eddie don't like him? If they have fools Gold. We're
- 26:58Speaker 2: gonna talk to San Francs before nine ers fools Gold.
- 27:02Speaker 2: I mean, he's pretty good.
- 27:04Speaker 1: It's a funny time.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Like the forty nine ers.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Oh, I didn't get even that. No, No, I didn't
- 27:10Speaker 3: get the second layer. Fools of Gold to me is
- 27:12Speaker 3: like something that looks like it is. But I just
- 27:14Speaker 3: thought you met Brock Purty as a quarterback with because
- 27:16Speaker 3: the forty nine ers are so good, not even the
- 27:18Speaker 3: gold part of the forty nine ers. Eighteen forty nine
- 27:21Speaker 3: muld title layer, Dennis Miller, George Carlin stuff.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, did he surrounded by such good players?
- 27:29Speaker 2: An awesome coach who's got a good vision.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know what to think about him.
- 27:33Speaker 2: I mean, I've had doubts on him from the beginning,
- 27:35Speaker 2: but he always proves me wrong, So I don't know.
- 27:37Speaker 1: I know, And he looks great to when you watch him,
- 27:39Speaker 1: he does. He looks awesome. But again, he has weapons,
- 27:41Speaker 1: but we can't.
- 27:42Speaker 3: I don't feel like it's fair to penalize somebody for weapons,
- 27:44Speaker 3: because okay, let's pinolize Troy Aikman.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Sure, Joe Montana had Jerry Rice and Roger Craig Hey,
- 27:49Speaker 2: Craig and John Taylor like, yeah.
- 27:52Speaker 3: Look at you. I would say penalized Tom Brady. But
- 27:54Speaker 3: there were times tom Bray nothing. There were times he
- 27:56Speaker 3: did have weapons. He's still won without weapons.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Yeah he in the you in the calves on brock Party, No, yeah,
- 28:03Speaker 1: pretty solid. Yeah where did you see those?
- 28:06Speaker 3: My Google image just that on brought party's calves. Anytime
- 28:10Speaker 3: that happens, they get sent over.
- 28:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's a thing. It's a thing.
- 28:14Speaker 3: So I am starting to be convinced that brought pretty
- 28:21Speaker 3: I don't know if you can win on Super Bowl.
- 28:23Speaker 3: I think they can win a super Bowl. But also
- 28:26Speaker 3: we've been led with the narrative he's the last overall
- 28:28Speaker 3: pick of the draft. He's supposed to suck, so we
- 28:30Speaker 3: also have that in our heads unfairly, and all he's
- 28:33Speaker 3: done is win.
- 28:34Speaker 1: He's won. Stafford, Stafford's still so good. It's so weird.
- 28:42Speaker 3: It's it's weird because I remember back in the day
- 28:44Speaker 3: it was Super Bowl Stafford and Joe Namath one on one.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Those are the days.
- 28:50Speaker 6: Man.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Stafford's still really good. I still feel like Stafford's really good.
- 28:54Speaker 3: I don't know if the Rams have the weapons to win,
- 28:58Speaker 3: but they have stafford that can in them some games.
- 29:01Speaker 2: It's just weird too because he lost so many years
- 29:03Speaker 2: with the Lions, right, they were so bad, and then
- 29:06Speaker 2: he goes to La they win a super Bowl. The
- 29:09Speaker 2: Lions are close to get into the super Bowl, and
- 29:11Speaker 2: like what what was the problem.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Both teams won, and there are coaching changes, I think
- 29:16Speaker 3: with the Lions once they actually get a coach that
- 29:20Speaker 3: had the ownership trust, which the Lions and the owners
- 29:23Speaker 3: just kind of crapped on that team forever, like at
- 29:27Speaker 3: times kind of again cut the legs out of them
- 29:30Speaker 3: doing anything consistent and successful. So I think it was
- 29:35Speaker 3: a win win for both and once the Lions got
- 29:41Speaker 3: a coach they kind of brought in that culture too.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Of it's weird to me that he's also an offensive
- 29:45Speaker 1: guy because he's a defensive.
- 29:50Speaker 3: He's bald, he's like big and muscular and white, and
- 29:53Speaker 3: you're like, are you tense?
- 29:56Speaker 1: Yeah, like you should be a defensive guy, mister Dan.
- 29:59Speaker 1: But yeah, I don't think the Rams. I don't think
- 30:04Speaker 1: the Rams win the division, but it's also a pretty
- 30:07Speaker 1: weak division. I don't think the Seahawks won the division.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Geno Smith as the quarterback we mentioned em earlier. Sam
- 30:12Speaker 1: Hall's the backup.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Sam Hall had some bright spots with the Commanders, but
- 30:16Speaker 3: the Commanders knew they were going for a quarterback with
- 30:18Speaker 3: and then the Cardinals with Kyler Murray. I hope he
- 30:21Speaker 3: grows to five feet this year he gets.
- 30:26Speaker 1: If they do that.
- 30:27Speaker 3: But yeah, the NFC West, the forty nine ers is big, big,
- 30:30Speaker 3: big front runner here. But those are all the quarterback
- 30:33Speaker 3: situations and that'll be fun. And I love the football's back.
- 30:36Speaker 3: There's just so much now to talk about that football's back.
- 30:39Speaker 3: The thing that I saw today was Roger Goodell, which
- 30:41Speaker 3: we knew was coming, supports a shift in eighteen regular
- 30:45Speaker 3: season games.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Now I've thought about this, so only two preseas of games.
- 30:50Speaker 1: This is his goodness. This is the rough version of
- 30:54Speaker 1: what he would like to shift to be. Because the NFLPA,
- 30:58Speaker 1: there's just a lot of things.
- 30:58Speaker 3: There are a lot of hoops that have to be
- 31:00Speaker 3: jumped through, and we just went to seventeen with eighteen weeks,
- 31:03Speaker 3: seventeen games, eighteen weeks. The one thing that I hate
- 31:06Speaker 3: is having an odd number when it comes to records.
- 31:08Speaker 3: I hate I hate eight to nine or nine and eight.
- 31:11Speaker 3: That's just weird. It needs to be fifty to fifty.
- 31:15Speaker 3: You're five hundred, you know you're eleven and five.
- 31:19Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't like that.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Two preseason games, eighteen regular season games, the calendar extended
- 31:26Speaker 3: by a week, which means there would be two buys,
- 31:30Speaker 3: which I think is needed. The super Bowl on a
- 31:34Speaker 3: three day weekend because proposal yes, because the Monday after
- 31:40Speaker 3: the super Bowl is President's Day holiday.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Please we pointing for this forever?
- 31:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that makes every normal person, first of all,
- 31:47Speaker 3: we want more football.
- 31:47Speaker 6: They should lead with them.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Yeah, they should.
- 31:50Speaker 3: What I think would be fun because when you have
- 31:53Speaker 3: this many players taking this many shots for this many weeks,
- 31:56Speaker 3: there's just gonna be a lot of injuries.
- 31:57Speaker 1: This is why like the health they're like the.
- 32:00Speaker 3: NFL doesn't care about the players because they're getting wrecked constantly.
- 32:04Speaker 3: What I think will be a fun little caveat is
- 32:08Speaker 3: eighteen games night, twenty weeks. It's fine, but the players
- 32:13Speaker 3: can only play seventeen games, so at some point you're
- 32:18Speaker 3: healthy and you have to sit out a game. So
- 32:19Speaker 3: at some point your backup quarterbacks got to.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Start your game.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, and do you keep them all all team?
- 32:24Speaker 1: One of the line. Do you keep your starting running back?
- 32:27Speaker 1: Do you go full second team and realize were probably
- 32:29Speaker 1: gonna lose this anyway? And do I think that would
- 32:32Speaker 1: be hilarious?
- 32:33Speaker 6: And when do you do it? Well, that's the thing
- 32:35Speaker 6: that's a streak, one where you're like, let's just get
- 32:36Speaker 6: out of the way.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Or do you do it against a team you feel
- 32:39Speaker 1: like you just can't beat? That's it?
- 32:40Speaker 2: Oh oh, I was going to say a team that
- 32:42Speaker 2: you know you're just gonna win anyway with anyone.
- 32:45Speaker 1: I don't know that happens in the NFL. Y you
- 32:47Speaker 1: said with the Dallas Cowboys. Oh, this is a guaranteed win.
- 32:49Speaker 3: And I lost like a thousand dollars.
- 32:54Speaker 1: But I do like selfishly as a fan more football.
- 32:56Speaker 3: Yeah, of course I would like the strategy though of Okay,
- 33:00Speaker 3: we're doing eighteen games, but you only get to play
- 33:03Speaker 3: seventeen and so but if your quarterback gets hurt.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Or he's kind of hurt for a week, go on in.
- 33:08Speaker 3: He just sits this one out and you let your
- 33:10Speaker 3: backup get that game out of the wait because you
- 33:12Speaker 3: have to do it anyway. That will be fun. That's
- 33:15Speaker 3: extra strategy, that's all. I like it, all right, let's
- 33:19Speaker 3: take a let's take a break here, all right, We're
- 33:23Speaker 3: now going to go and talk to Dylan Gabriel, speaking
- 33:26Speaker 3: of quarterbacks, the Oregon quarterback. He transferred to Oregon this
- 33:29Speaker 3: year after spending time at Oklahoma, and you seef, he's
- 33:34Speaker 3: thrown for almost fifteen thousand yards over one hundred and
- 33:36Speaker 3: twenty touchdowns in his career. He was just named to
- 33:38Speaker 3: the preseason All Conference team this week in Oregon's first
- 33:40Speaker 3: year in the Big Ten. And what he said to
- 33:42Speaker 3: us was, Oh, I heard you the guy that was
- 33:43Speaker 3: thrown up all that weight talking to me.
- 33:45Speaker 1: That's like, yeah, that's me.
- 33:45Speaker 4: Man.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Here he is a Dylan Gabriel.
- 33:50Speaker 5: Dan, thanks for the time.
- 33:51Speaker 4: Of course.
- 33:51Speaker 5: If you played n CAA football yet I have with you,
- 33:56Speaker 5: I have not.
- 33:56Speaker 4: Actually, you haven't used you on the game. I haven't.
- 33:59Speaker 4: I've seen me, but I haven't used third person me.
- 34:04Speaker 5: That would be the first thing. That's all I would do.
- 34:05Speaker 5: I would only but I would play no defense, only offense.
- 34:09Speaker 7: Interesting enough, are you rebuilding I random team? I random
- 34:14Speaker 7: team a little bit. But I played three games against
- 34:16Speaker 7: Evan Stewart, he's my neighbor. So quick little walk through
- 34:20Speaker 7: the back door and then play the game.
- 34:23Speaker 1: So how do you feel about your positioning because you
- 34:25Speaker 1: like talk quarterback on the game.
- 34:28Speaker 7: Yeah, I think the only thing I have a problem
- 34:30Speaker 7: with is a speed being at eighty one on you.
- 34:34Speaker 7: I would have took a eighty five or eighty six,
- 34:37Speaker 7: But I'm grateful either way.
- 34:39Speaker 5: How's the time been up here so far?
- 34:41Speaker 7: In organ A lot of fun, a lot of rain early,
- 34:45Speaker 7: but a lot of sun now, and just good people.
- 34:48Speaker 7: So I appreciate that and just been having a lot
- 34:52Speaker 7: of fun doing it.
- 34:52Speaker 1: When you pack up and you move up here, do
- 34:55Speaker 1: you do a U haul or do you just move in?
- 34:57Speaker 5: You don't have enough stuff anyway yet.
- 34:58Speaker 7: That's a great question. I actually did, uh, not a
- 35:03Speaker 7: U haul. I didn't want to drive. I couldn't make
- 35:06Speaker 7: that drive, but UH paid a moving company. They did it,
- 35:10Speaker 7: shipped the car or at least my girlfriend's car, and then.
- 35:14Speaker 5: They shipped the car. They drove the car up here.
- 35:17Speaker 4: I guess they put it on, but.
- 35:19Speaker 5: They drove with the car on it.
- 35:21Speaker 4: Yes, okay, so they did the whole move.
- 35:23Speaker 7: It was easy for me, but uh tough once you
- 35:27Speaker 7: get into your house to where to start moving stuff.
- 35:31Speaker 4: Don't do it with your girlfriend either. Might break up.
- 35:34Speaker 5: So ah, yeah, well, well that's a different episode. That's wisode.
- 35:38Speaker 4: That's not wait, breaking news. We didn't.
- 35:41Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, there's potential. There's potential to fight with somebody
- 35:46Speaker 7: that even your best friends with. I wouldn't even do
- 35:49Speaker 7: it with your best friend because that could lead to moving.
- 35:51Speaker 5: Just sucks. Yeah, it's tough now when I've changed jobs.
- 35:55Speaker 5: The company that I went to work for always paid
- 35:57Speaker 5: for my move. How'd that work out? Jeff?
- 35:59Speaker 4: Pay for your move? I had to pay for my
- 36:01Speaker 4: own moves.
- 36:01Speaker 5: But you know at the rebate you need to track
- 36:04Speaker 5: rebate age.
- 36:05Speaker 4: Maybe we could have that in uh in the contract.
- 36:08Speaker 5: Get n C double A like EA to pay for
- 36:10Speaker 5: that move. Because they didn't give enough speed, they should pay.
- 36:12Speaker 4: For your move.
- 36:13Speaker 1: I agree, rebate.
- 36:14Speaker 4: I didn't jump.
- 36:15Speaker 5: Are you jumping?
- 36:17Speaker 4: I mean I don't think my jumping is good. Maybe
- 36:18Speaker 4: they're maybe they're on track, But.
- 36:20Speaker 5: Are you sure you didn't play with you at all?
- 36:21Speaker 5: Because like you know, you know all the ratings.
- 36:23Speaker 7: Well I only know speed in jump because I'm a
- 36:25Speaker 7: little insecure about it, to be quite honest. But played
- 36:29Speaker 7: against fun? Yeah not fun?
- 36:34Speaker 5: Did you hear I hear words getting around about my bench?
- 36:37Speaker 7: Press it is. BOSSA was very impressed. I actually saw
- 36:41Speaker 7: him right after you guys filmed, and.
- 36:43Speaker 5: Then I just got to use an offer I got email.
- 36:47Speaker 4: How many times did you do it through one day?
- 36:50Speaker 1: Don't worry about that?
- 36:51Speaker 5: Well, no, I did it twice. Actually I did it twice.
- 36:52Speaker 5: I did twice.
- 36:53Speaker 4: That's pretty good.
- 36:53Speaker 5: But I took a break in between.
- 36:55Speaker 4: That's good.
- 36:55Speaker 5: Does that count?
- 36:56Speaker 4: That counts to me?
- 36:57Speaker 1: I thought so, just schematically, like where you come from
- 37:01Speaker 1: or what you're doing now, big difference.
- 37:03Speaker 4: I'd say so.
- 37:05Speaker 7: I think every coach I've played for, everywhere I've been
- 37:08Speaker 7: has been a learning experience and you know there's always
- 37:11Speaker 7: some different twists to what you're calling or running. But uh,
- 37:16Speaker 7: for the most part, I think it's all been things
- 37:18Speaker 7: that translate very well and you know, help highlight my game,
- 37:22Speaker 7: but also you know, push me to be a better player.
- 37:23Speaker 7: So it's been fun and when you have a lot
- 37:27Speaker 7: of weapons around you, it definitely makes it a lot
- 37:29Speaker 7: more fun.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Terminology wise, big changes, big word changes meaning the same things.
- 37:35Speaker 7: Yeah, so definitely a lot of changes in the terminology.
- 37:40Speaker 4: You know.
- 37:40Speaker 7: I kind of say, like you go from you know,
- 37:44Speaker 7: ordering at McDonald's to reading the Bible verse, so it's
- 37:49Speaker 7: it's a little different, you know, instead of getting the
- 37:51Speaker 7: number one, you're getting you know John three sixteen.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Yeah yeah Philippians, Yeah yeah, without that for real?
- 37:59Speaker 1: What were you whenever you make a change, and it
- 38:03Speaker 1: could be from college, NFL change of programs, like the
- 38:06Speaker 1: day that you commit, do.
- 38:07Speaker 5: They give you do they send you the playbook? Is
- 38:09Speaker 5: it a PDF? Or do they actually mail you the book?
- 38:12Speaker 5: When do you get that?
- 38:13Speaker 4: Well?
- 38:13Speaker 7: Nowadays, I don't think they do it just because of
- 38:16Speaker 7: you know, commitments sometimes don't always fall through or happen.
- 38:21Speaker 4: But you know, if that.
- 38:24Speaker 7: Would happen, then i'd have, you know, UCLA's playbook around
- 38:27Speaker 7: this time.
- 38:28Speaker 4: But you don't. I don't.
- 38:29Speaker 5: You never got it that.
- 38:31Speaker 7: I think it's once you step foot on campus, once
- 38:33Speaker 7: you you know, have that weekend there and make sure
- 38:35Speaker 7: you're in school and you're really at the school, then
- 38:38Speaker 7: you know they don't want to give you all the tricks,
- 38:40Speaker 7: the trades and early where you can run away with it.
- 38:45Speaker 5: You're talking about weapons here, What weapons attracted you to
- 38:47Speaker 5: come to Oregon?
- 38:49Speaker 7: I just you know, I think kind of throughout that process,
- 38:53Speaker 7: I knew what Oregon, you know, what we were bringing
- 38:56Speaker 7: back but also kind of what they're looking for in
- 38:59Speaker 7: the portal. And you know, I think me being a
- 39:02Speaker 7: six year senior, it's important to be around guys that
- 39:05Speaker 7: are are older. And I think you see that on
- 39:07Speaker 7: our team just throughout, you know, eleven on offense and
- 39:12Speaker 7: eleven on defense. It's it's a veteran team, and I
- 39:14Speaker 7: think that's a big advantage for us, just with guys
- 39:18Speaker 7: who played a lot of football, but then bringing in
- 39:22Speaker 7: pieces that we're definitely gonna help. And I think that
- 39:25Speaker 7: all kind of came together, tried to look at it,
- 39:27Speaker 7: you know, from a holistic approach, just because you know,
- 39:32Speaker 7: it's it's a lot more than you know just me
- 39:34Speaker 7: and you got to come together as a unit to
- 39:36Speaker 7: make things happen.
- 39:36Speaker 5: So is that a tough decision to make a change.
- 39:38Speaker 1: And who's in your group, your personal like life group
- 39:41Speaker 1: that you would have that conversation with.
- 39:43Speaker 7: Yeah, I have a group of family members and people
- 39:47Speaker 7: that you know helped me outside of football as well,
- 39:49Speaker 7: that you know, I just looked to and ask questions.
- 39:53Speaker 7: And I think the hardest part was I did get
- 39:55Speaker 7: a lot of mixed reviews, So this one was definitely
- 39:58Speaker 7: my decision. But I just knew it was right. And
- 40:02Speaker 7: I think there's you know, a powerful feeling to you know,
- 40:05Speaker 7: betting on yourself and trusting your instincts. And you know,
- 40:09Speaker 7: I've always lived in my heart and it's always done
- 40:12Speaker 7: good for me. So I'm happy where I'm at and
- 40:15Speaker 7: it's been a blast.
- 40:17Speaker 1: You show up here.
- 40:17Speaker 2: How do you connect with your teammates that you just
- 40:20Speaker 2: met and you're just like, hey man, I'm I'm your
- 40:22Speaker 2: leader now.
- 40:22Speaker 5: Like what do you follow me?
- 40:26Speaker 6: Like?
- 40:26Speaker 1: What do you tell them? Like, what's what conversations on?
- 40:28Speaker 1: What are you?
- 40:29Speaker 7: Like?
- 40:29Speaker 4: It's adjustment, you know.
- 40:31Speaker 7: I think it's tough, you know, as you know, you
- 40:35Speaker 7: play with the quarterback or you know, a guy who's
- 40:37Speaker 7: been here for two years and then there's an immediate transition.
- 40:41Speaker 7: I think it's you know, very apparent that like time
- 40:45Speaker 7: is very valuable, you know, and we don't have time
- 40:49Speaker 7: on our end due to it being a one year
- 40:51Speaker 7: kind of thing. But you know, I just tried to
- 40:54Speaker 7: spend as much time around the guys and you know,
- 40:56Speaker 7: be myself. I think that is something that is extremelyful
- 41:00Speaker 7: as well, because you know, when you're not genuine, you
- 41:04Speaker 7: can see right through it. In the locker room, and
- 41:06Speaker 7: I think I'm very confident in who I am, and uh,
- 41:09Speaker 7: just being myself allowed me to connect with everyone, and
- 41:13Speaker 7: the culture and environment they have here has made it
- 41:15Speaker 7: very easy to be inviting for any new guys. But
- 41:21Speaker 7: also we're all chasing the same goal, you know, I
- 41:24Speaker 7: want to win a national championship, so they knew I
- 41:27Speaker 7: was the guy for the job and and helping him out,
- 41:29Speaker 7: so it was it was easy on both ends.
- 41:32Speaker 5: Final three questions. How do you handle social media?
- 41:37Speaker 7: I in the off season, I go on and and
- 41:40Speaker 7: handle it.
- 41:42Speaker 4: So you're on, You're active in I am.
- 41:45Speaker 7: You know, I'm not as good as everyone else, but
- 41:49Speaker 7: I'm a scroller, you know, so I try to you know,
- 41:52Speaker 7: delete the app sometimes or at least removing it from
- 41:54Speaker 7: my phone, not deleting my profile.
- 41:58Speaker 4: So I can get things done.
- 41:59Speaker 7: But usually in camps or like as season rolls around,
- 42:03Speaker 7: just a lot of busy time, I don't want to
- 42:05Speaker 7: spend any time scrolling, so I'll just remove it for
- 42:09Speaker 7: you know, my sanity of staying clear, being focused on
- 42:13Speaker 7: what's you know, the main thing at hand, and then
- 42:15Speaker 7: you know, I'll have somebody help me get things done
- 42:19Speaker 7: when I need to, So that's how I handle it.
- 42:22Speaker 7: I'm goofy on it as well, so sometimes it's good
- 42:25Speaker 7: having other people handle it for me. I mean, I've
- 42:28Speaker 7: said some questionable things, but you live and you learn,
- 42:32Speaker 7: and I think I like to not take it too serious.
- 42:35Speaker 1: As well, So I expect the watch generic vague answer here,
- 42:38Speaker 1: but I did see as of today, you're the favorite
- 42:40Speaker 1: for the Heisman.
- 42:41Speaker 5: Thoughts, generic and vegue.
- 42:44Speaker 7: I'll say this, I've been not even talked about. I've
- 42:48Speaker 7: been talked about either way. It's what have you done
- 42:51Speaker 7: for me lately. You know, you can tell me one
- 42:53Speaker 7: thing today, but tomorrow willn't mean the same thing.
- 42:56Speaker 4: So I'm a big guy on you know, just being
- 42:58Speaker 4: in the moment. The rest take care of itself.
- 43:00Speaker 7: And I think it's it's very clear if you win
- 43:04Speaker 7: and you take care of business, everyone will be right
- 43:06Speaker 7: where they want to be. So I got a winner's mentality.
- 43:09Speaker 7: I just want to see a dove at the end
- 43:10Speaker 7: of the game. And like I said, the rust will
- 43:12Speaker 7: take care of yourself, all right.
- 43:13Speaker 5: Final thing, give me your mount rushmore musical artist favorite.
- 43:16Speaker 4: Artists controversial right now, but I love Drake.
- 43:19Speaker 5: Oh, come on, I love he just got annihilated.
- 43:23Speaker 7: Yeah, man, but you know what, he's gonna come back.
- 43:25Speaker 7: Head up, young king, you know, patience, I would say
- 43:30Speaker 7: Drake Party next Door has been unreal recently, just kind
- 43:35Speaker 7: of my vibe. I like to you know, chill, Central
- 43:39Speaker 7: Sea has been He's not on the rushmore, but he's
- 43:41Speaker 7: been the lately the kid LaRoy and Bryson Tiller.
- 43:46Speaker 1: You know, Party next Door.
- 43:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean they gotta been on it lately.
- 43:49Speaker 4: Yeah, cushable album covers. But hey yeah, yeah, we're not judging.
- 43:53Speaker 1: We're not a lot of we're there's so much gear
- 43:58Speaker 1: we're in, like the backup of gears. Tell them it's
- 44:00Speaker 1: and you've got a machine that measures your feet. Wouldn't
- 44:03Speaker 1: be cool if every player could pick their own uniform
- 44:04Speaker 1: and you guys.
- 44:05Speaker 5: Just all went out in your own individual uniform. That
- 44:07Speaker 5: be awesome.
- 44:08Speaker 4: You could do that with Oregon.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Yeah, not a lot of schools, like everybody had their Hey,
- 44:11Speaker 1: appreciate you, of course, Yeah, good luck to you.
- 44:13Speaker 4: Thanks appreciate you.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Yeah, man, all right, we'll come back.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Let's take a break. We'll come back and we will
- 44:18Speaker 3: get in the tittle tattle. We'll talk a little bit
- 44:21Speaker 3: about the new Netflix documentary this is coming out, which
- 44:23Speaker 3: I think could be super interesting about this.
- 44:25Speaker 1: No, okay, we'll do that. Let's take a break, we'll
- 44:27Speaker 1: come right back.
- 44:30Speaker 3: Okay, let's go over to kick off, Kevin, and let's
- 44:32Speaker 3: get in the tittle tattle.
- 44:43Speaker 6: With the Olympics officially kicking off this weekend, which event
- 44:46Speaker 6: are you most excited for?
- 44:48Speaker 3: I think probably just basketball, because I just generally care
- 44:50Speaker 3: about the sport more and I'm watching Lebron have to
- 44:52Speaker 3: save games. Lebron is the best player on the team.
- 44:54Speaker 3: Lebron's awesome.
- 44:55Speaker 1: He's almost forty here, He's awesome. Lebron's awesome. He's winning.
- 45:00Speaker 1: So basketball, I don't know that I will make a
- 45:03Speaker 1: point to watch anything though. Well it's gonna be early too,
- 45:05Speaker 1: which is weird for us. They'll show it again in
- 45:07Speaker 1: the evening. We'll know who won. Okay, well, you know
- 45:11Speaker 1: you can look again.
- 45:13Speaker 3: That's why I don't think I'm gonna one of I
- 45:15Speaker 3: don't only care when it's time shifted. It's a nightmare
- 45:19Speaker 3: because the social media channels they just throw it out
- 45:22Speaker 3: up immediately.
- 45:22Speaker 1: The algorithm feeds it right to me. But probably basketball.
- 45:26Speaker 3: I think flag football will be interesting to see for
- 45:28Speaker 3: a second, like, what is this? Even I can know
- 45:31Speaker 3: what flag football is, but like, what do other countries have?
- 45:33Speaker 2: Who's on that team? Do we know anyone on that?
- 45:36Speaker 1: The American flag football.
- 45:37Speaker 6: Team, it's not like NFL or call it. It's random people. Okay,
- 45:41Speaker 6: but what did they do a good at flag?
- 45:42Speaker 3: Can you look up I'm gonna, hey read look up
- 45:45Speaker 3: our flag football team this year? Kevin and I are
- 45:49Speaker 3: mid tit. I'm busy, right, so I don't want him
- 45:52Speaker 3: looking it up while we're mid tit. But look up
- 45:56Speaker 3: our current and see what their background.
- 45:58Speaker 1: I'm sure they were like ex college players, right X
- 46:00Speaker 1: NFL players.
- 46:01Speaker 6: I mean, there's guys that are really good at flag
- 46:03Speaker 6: football that just weren't very good at regular football.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Okay, it's totally different.
- 46:07Speaker 6: It's totally different.
- 46:09Speaker 1: But probably yeah, they probably.
- 46:11Speaker 6: Played at some some division or level. Okay, next question,
- 46:15Speaker 6: all right, in honor of Joe Burrow going viral for
- 46:17Speaker 6: his new haircut, which NFL player has or had the
- 46:19Speaker 6: best hair of all time?
- 46:22Speaker 1: When I think of hair and football players, I.
- 46:24Speaker 3: Think of old old school and I watched the documentary too,
- 46:27Speaker 3: But like Brian Bosworth at Oklahoma, the Boss Seattle.
- 46:31Speaker 1: He had crazy hair.
- 46:32Speaker 3: He had like the shave and the spike on. You
- 46:33Speaker 3: know that was cool. Uh still does commercials even though
- 46:36Speaker 3: he's retired.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Troy Palamalo he is. He's the dude.
- 46:41Speaker 2: You probably don't know this, but he's the guy in
- 46:42Speaker 2: the doctor Pepper commercial.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, okay, you know that? Yeah?
- 46:47Speaker 6: Oh no no, and dodr Peppery at Troy's and head
- 46:50Speaker 6: and dril.
- 46:50Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, yes, I wish I had dreads me too,
- 46:53Speaker 1: like Derreck Henrys dreads are cool.
- 46:55Speaker 3: I'd hang him out of the helmet. It's crazy when
- 46:58Speaker 3: they get ripped out and like one's laying on the field.
- 47:00Speaker 1: You ever see that happen?
- 47:01Speaker 6: Yes, who did that appen?
- 47:02Speaker 3: I don't know if it was Derek Henry, but I
- 47:04Speaker 3: saw drud get ripped out in the NFL game once.
- 47:06Speaker 1: Because it's a fair game.
- 47:06Speaker 8: Man.
- 47:07Speaker 6: He's like Johnson or something is Oh he had good hair,
- 47:09Speaker 6: that's right.
- 47:09Speaker 1: I think that's right.
- 47:10Speaker 6: Wasn't it Chris Johnson? Because he had like the individual
- 47:12Speaker 6: where Derek's like one big old wad just.
- 47:14Speaker 1: Like his top, yeah, like a rubber band around it.
- 47:17Speaker 2: So you like the one big dread or do you
- 47:19Speaker 2: like uh, well, his naty one.
- 47:20Speaker 3: Big dread it's all his dreads that are tied up
- 47:23Speaker 3: with a rubber band around it, like bottle rockets.
- 47:25Speaker 1: You know, you touch them all together, you light them.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Yeah that was dangerous. Yeah, he does it. But then
- 47:32Speaker 1: the dreads. I'd probably have mine come out individually, though.
- 47:34Speaker 2: I like the smaller ones, kind of like Richard Sherman, longer, smaller.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how I'd have mine come out. But you
- 47:39Speaker 1: can tie him up. It gotta be cool. Yeah, all right,
- 47:42Speaker 1: next time.
- 47:43Speaker 6: With both qbs looking for a new deal in camp,
- 47:45Speaker 6: who would you rather pay Jordan Love or Tua.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Well, let's look at.
- 47:48Speaker 3: Some stats here and twenty twenty three Jordan Love forty
- 47:51Speaker 3: two hundred passing yards, thirty two interceptions, eleven touchdowns.
- 47:55Speaker 1: To flip it, forty what.
- 47:57Speaker 6: Thirty two touchdowns, eleven interceptions?
- 47:59Speaker 1: I say that wrong, he flipped them. I screwed him manager.
- 48:01Speaker 1: He's got a lower contract. I have a bit of dyslexia.
- 48:05Speaker 3: Uh to twenty nine touchdowns, fourteen interceptions, but more passing yards.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Jordan Love didn't win a playoff game against the Cowboys.
- 48:12Speaker 3: It cost me a lot of money.
- 48:13Speaker 1: YEP. I think Jordan Love has a higher ceiling.
- 48:16Speaker 3: I think too is in an offense with Medaniels, who
- 48:20Speaker 3: creates amazing situations as we I mean, Tyreek is Tyreek
- 48:30Speaker 3: creates so much space on the field. I would rather have,
- 48:33Speaker 3: I think Jordan Love, but I like to I think
- 48:36Speaker 3: the ceiling is higher with Jordan Love, and I think
- 48:39Speaker 3: the floor is about the same.
- 48:40Speaker 1: I think they're both solid.
- 48:41Speaker 6: If you were coach McDaniel, would rather have too or
- 48:44Speaker 6: Jordan in that offense.
- 48:48Speaker 3: Does my relationship with the two? Does it count because they're.
- 48:51Speaker 6: Closed, they're both brand new, like you didn't know either
- 48:54Speaker 6: the guys, no.
- 48:54Speaker 1: One gets hurt buns.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, there's no emotional attens So have we have
- 48:58Speaker 3: we dropped the two gets concussions?
- 49:00Speaker 6: Oh, I thought about he played all games last year.
- 49:02Speaker 1: Yeah, every game takes one hit. Boys, probably Jordan Love still.
- 49:06Speaker 6: Yeah, him with those receivers would.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Be But again, we're giving all this to Jordan Love.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Really with a full season, right yeah?
- 49:16Speaker 6: One yeah, and he really didn't do anything until last
- 49:18Speaker 6: half of the season.
- 49:19Speaker 3: R exactly, But that's the last half of his first season,
- 49:23Speaker 3: though sistant where Two has had more than a season.
- 49:25Speaker 3: But Two also had little tweety birds flying around his
- 49:28Speaker 3: head for all, right, last question.
- 49:29Speaker 6: All right, so that the forty nine ers can't reach
- 49:31Speaker 6: a deal with AU, what team do you want to
- 49:33Speaker 6: see go after him.
- 49:34Speaker 3: I don't think there's another team that will get him.
- 49:36Speaker 3: I think the fortyiniters will just sign him.
- 49:38Speaker 4: I don't.
- 49:38Speaker 1: I don't see bride Night going anywhere else. I think
- 49:40Speaker 1: he probably thought he wanted to go somewhere else. I don't.
- 49:45Speaker 3: I just don't. I don't think he goes anywhere. I
- 49:47Speaker 3: don't think he stays in San Francisco. I think it'd
- 49:50Speaker 3: be fun if he went to the Lions and gave
- 49:51Speaker 3: them a weapon. I'd like to the Lions win because
- 49:53Speaker 3: they have at one. I love to see teams have
- 49:54Speaker 3: a win one.
- 49:55Speaker 1: The Lions would be cool. But it feels like he was,
- 49:57Speaker 1: you know, really pacing for that command.
- 50:00Speaker 3: There's opportunity when he was posting their practice film. I
- 50:05Speaker 3: do not think he goes. I think he's with San Francisco.
- 50:07Speaker 3: They've even said we want to keep him. So I
- 50:09Speaker 3: think Brendan and Ike and he's also what twenty nine like,
- 50:13Speaker 3: he's still he's on the front or side of his prime.
- 50:16Speaker 6: Not even yeah twenty six?
- 50:18Speaker 1: Oh is he is? He? Not even twenty nine?
- 50:19Speaker 6: But he's selling his first his Rocky deal twenty six.
- 50:22Speaker 3: Boom even earlier. So yeah, I definitely wouldn't let him
- 50:25Speaker 3: go if he's twenty God, dang.
- 50:28Speaker 1: The thing. The thing would be hard.
- 50:29Speaker 3: Though they traded him, somebody's got to then pay. They
- 50:31Speaker 3: have to then pay him the big money because this
- 50:35Speaker 3: year and then his next years fifty year option or
- 50:37Speaker 3: was it? Is it this year next year? It's next year, right,
- 50:40Speaker 3: but they would still have to pay. They picked it
- 50:42Speaker 3: up and they were going to keep him more than
- 50:44Speaker 3: a year. They have to pay the twenty eight twenty
- 50:46Speaker 3: nine thirty million dollars for him.
- 50:48Speaker 1: Reading. Yeah, so it looks like the QB.
- 50:50Speaker 8: Nico Kasarres is a middle school pe teacher.
- 50:54Speaker 1: Did he ever play ball?
- 50:55Speaker 6: He's not a pet?
- 50:58Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 50:58Speaker 1: He was a D three back, Okay, but so was I.
- 51:01Speaker 1: So okay, go ahead.
- 51:03Speaker 8: Catholic University of America is where he played.
- 51:06Speaker 1: Okay.
- 51:07Speaker 8: I haven't looked up the other dudes yet because they
- 51:09Speaker 8: don't have anything on him other than their names.
- 51:11Speaker 1: Say their names. If we recognize a single name, fan.
- 51:13Speaker 6: Let's a year.
- 51:14Speaker 1: All right, We've got Michael better.
- 51:16Speaker 3: Okay, he's playing like rush and center. They all have
- 51:19Speaker 3: like two positions.
- 51:20Speaker 8: Interesting, Yeah, go ahead, a Mere Brown okay, now, Velton
- 51:25Speaker 8: Brown junior, I know his dad. But Isaiah Calhoun okay,
- 51:32Speaker 8: Nico Casares, QB.
- 51:34Speaker 1: Mike Daniels, what do you know him. There's also a
- 51:40Speaker 1: women's flag national team.
- 51:41Speaker 2: I've been seeing some of them. They've been showing some
- 51:43Speaker 2: of their game watch in that.
- 51:44Speaker 1: Yeah, but also in no other countrylay football.
- 51:46Speaker 3: I don't even care anymore. You should look up and see
- 51:47Speaker 3: what they do, though, like what their level is. I'm
- 51:49Speaker 3: assuming they've all played some kind of football at high level.
- 51:53Speaker 1: I wonder what the tryouts were, like, do you bring
- 51:56Speaker 1: it on a flag?
- 51:57Speaker 4: All?
- 51:57Speaker 1: Right? You have to? Yeah? I think we're done here.
- 52:01Speaker 3: The other thing I wanted to mention was Netflix is
- 52:03Speaker 3: going to release the documentary of Michigan and their Signs
- 52:06Speaker 3: stealing scandal, Yes.
- 52:09Speaker 1: Which I think will be interesting. If they the guy
- 52:12Speaker 1: I was like buying tickets in city.
- 52:14Speaker 3: That's a really that's a funny story. And they got caught.
- 52:18Speaker 3: That to me was what they should have been punished for.
- 52:21Speaker 3: I'm sure all everybody does his crap.
- 52:22Speaker 1: But don't be stupid enough to get caught. There's a
- 52:24Speaker 1: stupid penalty. Do they talk to the guy in the documentary,
- 52:27Speaker 1: they watched it. It doesn't come out till the twenty
- 52:30Speaker 1: seventh of August.
- 52:31Speaker 6: That's fast tom for them to make that.
- 52:32Speaker 1: Did they jump on those things so quick? It's basically
- 52:35Speaker 1: seventy two TikTok just tied together. That would work. Yeah,
- 52:37Speaker 1: that's a documentary.
- 52:39Speaker 3: Netflix will be premiering a new documentary giving Connor stallion
- 52:42Speaker 3: side of the Michigan Side controversy, appropriately titled Sign Stealer.
- 52:48Speaker 3: It'll be part of the Untold series. They have other
- 52:50Speaker 3: good little documentaries. So that's from on three. But yeah,
- 52:53Speaker 3: they did the Monte.
- 52:54Speaker 6: Tell Yeah, which was a good Florida one last year,
- 52:58Speaker 6: the Swamp.
- 52:58Speaker 3: The NBA referee bettings, and one which is good that
- 53:00Speaker 3: was really good.
- 53:01Speaker 1: Good. So that's coming out.
- 53:02Speaker 2: I thought you were going to say another one of
- 53:04Speaker 2: those position shows.
- 53:05Speaker 6: Have you guys watched Receivers yet?
- 53:06Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 53:07Speaker 1: Like another one of those?
- 53:08Speaker 6: I try, I watched one, can't do it.
- 53:10Speaker 2: I'm like, I barely like quarterback? Am I like receive?
- 53:12Speaker 1: Weird?
- 53:12Speaker 3: Did its something that we don't really like get into,
- 53:14Speaker 3: even though we're so into the NFL.
- 53:16Speaker 1: That's on them for creating a crappy version of it. Yeah.
- 53:18Speaker 6: You know what I think does it for me is
- 53:20Speaker 6: I'm just not really interested in their home life if
- 53:22Speaker 6: that's weird, unless and like I like, because was interesting.
- 53:26Speaker 1: I have no idea. And I made me like him
- 53:30Speaker 1: the way his wife would dress him, Like I like that,
- 53:32Speaker 1: that was cool. Maybe there's not showing the right stuff man.
- 53:35Speaker 6: Maybe.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Uh and then finally ceedee lamb eddie yep, go what
- 53:39Speaker 1: about him?
- 53:40Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 53:40Speaker 1: You tell me he's not not proximal.
- 53:42Speaker 2: Yeah, they'll figure all that out. Yeah, I mean that's
- 53:44Speaker 2: what they This is the off season drama, dude, the
- 53:46Speaker 2: preseason drama. They're gonna oh they're holding out. He's holding out.
- 53:48Speaker 2: He's not showing a mini camps, not showing. He'll they'll
- 53:51Speaker 2: sign it, he'll show up, and then we'll be ready
- 53:53Speaker 2: to rock.
- 53:54Speaker 1: Thank you all. We are done. We will see you.
- 53:59Speaker 1: I don't know. Maybe later this week we're gonna go
- 54:02Speaker 1: down and be with the Dolphins, Miami Dolphins.
- 54:07Speaker 2: The one I one thinking we're scuba diving or something.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Was that a dolphins? That was a dolphin impression? It's like,
- 54:14Speaker 1: what was that? The Bucks not dear hunting the Buccaneers.
- 54:20Speaker 3: Yeah, so thank you guys, and we will see you
- 54:24Speaker 3: guys either later this week or early next week.
- 54:28Speaker 1: That is all. Blude us letty, I'll see you guys
- 54:30Speaker 1: next time.
