- 1:00Speaker 1: I'm Rachel. You could tell. Okay. So animal lovers, you
- 1:03Speaker 1: are not going to want to miss this episode. It's
- 1:05Speaker 1: so good. Have you ever wondered what your dog or
- 1:08Speaker 1: cat or any animal for that matter was thinking when
- 1:11Speaker 1: they bark at each other? What are they saying? Are
- 1:13Speaker 1: they mad? Are they mad at me? Are they sad?
- 1:16Speaker 1: I'm not alone here, right? I think all pet owners
- 1:18Speaker 1: have thought about what kind of stuff is going on
- 1:21Speaker 1: in their minds. Well, today's guests can actually help answer
- 1:24Speaker 1: some of those questions. Nikki Vascones is an animal communicator,
- 1:28Speaker 1: which some people refer to as a pet psychic. She
- 1:30Speaker 1: can talk to and connect with animals, living or dead.
- 1:33Speaker 1: And even better, she can teach you how to do it.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Nikki actually started her career as a lawyer. And when
- 1:39Speaker 1: she found out that communicating with animals was a skill
- 1:41Speaker 1: you could learn, it's not some magic abilities you suddenly
- 1:44Speaker 1: wake up with one day. She taught herself how to
- 1:46Speaker 1: do it and her whole life changed. I understand there
- 1:49Speaker 1: might be some skeptics out there. The concept does sound
- 1:51Speaker 1: a little crazy, but no matter what the skeptics might think,
- 1:55Speaker 1: It's definitely not hindering her business one bit. She has
- 1:57Speaker 1: a wait list in the thousands. We're talking 7,500 people, okay?
- 2:02Speaker 1: So obviously something's going right for her. My dogs are
- 2:05Speaker 1: my children. So I was excited to learn new ways
- 2:08Speaker 1: that I could communicate with them better and still understand
- 2:10Speaker 1: their pets. If you do have animals, you're going to
- 2:13Speaker 1: love this episode. So sit back and enjoy my conversation
- 2:17Speaker 1: with Nikki. Nikki, thank you so much for joining me
- 2:51Speaker 1: on Misunderstood. It is such an honor to have you
- 2:53Speaker 1: here today.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Thanks, Rachel. I'm excited to be here with you.
- 2:58Speaker 1: So obviously, as you know, because you're in this industry,
- 3:00Speaker 1: there are many people that love their animals more than
- 3:03Speaker 1: they love their own family members. So that's why I
- 3:06Speaker 1: wanted to have you on. I read the article that
- 3:08Speaker 1: was written in the Wall Street Journal. I found it
- 3:10Speaker 1: really interesting that the Wall Street Journal chose to run
- 3:13Speaker 1: such a piece about animal communicators and how much you
- 3:16Speaker 1: guys are making in this day and age. So I
- 3:19Speaker 1: thought that you would be a great guest on the
- 3:21Speaker 1: show because I think this is very misunderstood to a
- 3:23Speaker 1: lot of people. But animals is a topic everyone wants
- 3:27Speaker 1: to discuss. So first, tell me what is an animal communicator?
- 3:32Speaker 2: An animal communicator is someone that telepathically communicates with animals.
- 3:36Speaker 2: So it's not just cats, dogs, it's the horses, it's
- 3:39Speaker 2: the bunnies, it's any animal, cows, pigs. And when I
- 3:42Speaker 2: say telepathic animal communication, it's having a two-way dialogue with
- 3:47Speaker 2: the animals, just like you and I are conversing right now,
- 3:50Speaker 2: but it's all done telepathically, which means all through your mind.
- 3:54Speaker 2: So I might receive mental images. I might hear a
- 3:57Speaker 2: phrase in my mind, almost like if I was reading
- 4:00Speaker 2: a book to myself. I might feel an ache or
- 4:02Speaker 2: a pain in my body. So it's a way for
- 4:04Speaker 2: humans to communicate with any animal at any time, living
- 4:09Speaker 2: or deceased.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Wow. So how did you get into this? Because I
- 4:14Speaker 1: know you were a lawyer, right? You were a practicing
- 4:16Speaker 1: lawyer up until just a couple of years ago.
- 4:18Speaker 3: I was.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I was a lawyer until 28 years old. I did
- 4:21Speaker 2: not even know that animal communication was possible. I'm 34
- 4:24Speaker 2: right now. and at so at 28 when I found
- 4:28Speaker 2: out that this was possible the first thing I did
- 4:32Speaker 2: was start reading animal communication books and every single book
- 4:36Speaker 2: by all of these different authors said everyone can learn
- 4:40Speaker 2: to do this and most of those authors hadn't learned
- 4:43Speaker 2: until they were about in their 50s so I was
- 4:46Speaker 2: like all right well I'm everyone so let's give it
- 4:48Speaker 2: a try so I just started doing practice sessions with
- 4:52Speaker 2: friends and families, animals, and getting very specific things about
- 4:56Speaker 2: stuff that I would have no way of knowing. And
- 4:59Speaker 2: that's how it all started. It's only been about four
- 5:03Speaker 2: or five years. I quit the law firm for a
- 5:06Speaker 2: good July of 2021. Wow.
- 5:09Speaker 1: So does that mean you're making more money now or
- 5:11Speaker 1: enough money to stay in your life?
- 5:14Speaker 2: I am. I wasn't... Yeah, I definitely, I'm making more
- 5:18Speaker 2: than I was as an attorney, but I was not
- 5:20Speaker 2: an attorney that was working 12 hour days. I work
- 5:24Speaker 2: so much more now. When you have your own business,
- 5:26Speaker 2: you generally work more, but I do animal readings, of course,
- 5:31Speaker 2: for people. But a huge part of my business is
- 5:33Speaker 2: I actually have an online school and I teach other
- 5:35Speaker 2: people to become animal communicators. And it's just so phenomenal.
- 5:39Speaker 2: It's so fulfilling. And it's just a lot of fun,
- 5:42Speaker 2: way more fun than when I was an attorney. That's
- 5:44Speaker 2: for sure. Right.
- 5:46Speaker 1: So did you have a pet growing up that you
- 5:49Speaker 1: loved more than anything that you wanted to communicate with
- 5:52Speaker 1: but felt like you couldn't?
- 5:53Speaker 2: You know what, Rachel? No. I wasn't the typical kid
- 5:57Speaker 2: growing up that you would think I might be. Like,
- 5:59Speaker 2: I wasn't talking to the birds. We had a dog
- 6:01Speaker 2: when I was younger, but I don't really remember her.
- 6:04Speaker 2: I had some bunnies and hamsters, but I wasn't this...
- 6:07Speaker 2: typical diehard animal lover. It wasn't until I got my
- 6:10Speaker 2: two dogs who my husband and I have now that
- 6:13Speaker 2: I really developed that bond that we have with our animals.
- 6:17Speaker 2: And when I, when we got them, I didn't know
- 6:19Speaker 2: that this world was possible. And now, I mean, I
- 6:22Speaker 2: loved my dogs before, but the bond that we have
- 6:24Speaker 2: now and the depth of our connection is just exponentially greater.
- 6:28Speaker 2: It's amazing. Okay.
- 6:30Speaker 1: So let's break this down. Cause I know a lot
- 6:32Speaker 1: of people, you know, probably see this as the same
- 6:34Speaker 1: that they see or how they feel about psychics. And
- 6:37Speaker 1: they don't really get how it works. They think it
- 6:39Speaker 1: sounds a lot of hocus pocus. So can you break
- 6:41Speaker 1: it down, you know, and explain exactly what it means
- 6:45Speaker 1: to communicate? Like if you're saying like before you were,
- 6:49Speaker 1: you're having a conversation like you and I, I mean,
- 6:51Speaker 1: dogs don't speak English, right? So like, how are they communicating?
- 6:55Speaker 1: What exactly are you hearing? You know, tell me, tell
- 6:58Speaker 1: me how it works.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I'm going to start by answering your question with an
- 7:02Speaker 2: example for you. There have been times where your cell
- 7:06Speaker 2: phone rang And you knew who was calling you before
- 7:09Speaker 2: you even looked at your phone. Have you ever experienced that? Sure.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Or a time where a friend or a family member
- 7:15Speaker 2: was about to say something. And before they even spoke
- 7:18Speaker 2: the words out loud, you answered their question. Has that
- 7:21Speaker 2: happened to you? Right. That right there is intuition. It's telepathy.
- 7:27Speaker 2: That's how it works with the animals. It's a sudden
- 7:30Speaker 2: knowing this gut feeling. Now that's one way that the
- 7:34Speaker 2: messages come through. I mentioned earlier that I might receive
- 7:38Speaker 2: a mental image of something. So what happens during a
- 7:40Speaker 2: session is I do all of my sessions remotely through
- 7:43Speaker 2: a photograph. I've done them in person. I can, I
- 7:46Speaker 2: prefer not to one I'm allergic to cats, which is
- 7:49Speaker 2: kind of funny, but my clients are all over the world.
- 7:52Speaker 2: So it's a lot easier just to do it through
- 7:54Speaker 2: a photograph. And I will look at the picture, connect
- 7:58Speaker 2: with the animal, sit in my chair. My eyes are shut.
- 8:01Speaker 2: There's not really much to look at when I'm doing
- 8:03Speaker 2: a session. And in a way that an animal might
- 8:06Speaker 2: send me a message through an image is all of
- 8:08Speaker 2: a sudden I will get the picture in my brain
- 8:12Speaker 2: of their favorite toy or the place where they love
- 8:15Speaker 2: to go for a walk or maybe the layout of
- 8:17Speaker 2: grandma's house where they love going. And it's this image
- 8:20Speaker 2: of something that I've never seen. So I like to
- 8:23Speaker 2: tell people, picture your favorite restaurant, right? In your mind,
- 8:26Speaker 2: you know what that looks like. So in my mind,
- 8:30Speaker 2: during a session with an animal, I might get this
- 8:32Speaker 2: visual image of something that I then describe with words
- 8:36Speaker 2: out loud to the owners. And they're like, oh my gosh,
- 8:39Speaker 2: that's our living room or that's my mom's house. Another
- 8:43Speaker 2: way messages come through is a sudden thought is implanted
- 8:47Speaker 2: in my brain. So I'm sitting down in my chair
- 8:50Speaker 2: and all of a sudden I hear, I don't like
- 8:52Speaker 2: when my feet are wet, right? That's a silly example,
- 8:55Speaker 2: but it's in my own voice. telepathic messages come through
- 8:59Speaker 2: in your own voice as if you were reading a
- 9:01Speaker 2: book silently to yourself, but it's a thought that you
- 9:05Speaker 2: didn't have a second ago. And all of a sudden,
- 9:08Speaker 2: why are you thinking about your feet being wet? That's
- 9:10Speaker 2: a message from the end. Right.
- 9:12Speaker 1: No, I totally get it. But like, so in doing
- 9:14Speaker 1: research on you before you came on last night, I,
- 9:18Speaker 1: I heard a lot about what you talk about, right?
- 9:20Speaker 1: So I sat on the bed, I have three dogs,
- 9:23Speaker 1: sat on the bed and I looked at one of
- 9:25Speaker 1: them and I tried to talk in my mind to
- 9:29Speaker 1: the dog and get an image or have a conversation and.
- 9:35Speaker 4: They think you're done for the day but they don't
- 9:38Speaker 4: know about the drawer the drawer just the.
- 9:43Speaker 3: One square before bed or two you know nobody's watching
- 9:50Speaker 3: you deserve a treat.
- 9:51Speaker 4: So With eight flavors to choose from, you can choose
- 9:56Speaker 4: the flavor you favor with Cadbury Dairy Milk.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Since being like a crazy person and sounding like I
- 10:08Speaker 1: was nuts, you know, it's just my imagination, right? My
- 10:13Speaker 1: imagination could run wild. How are you getting confirmation that
- 10:17Speaker 1: Besides someone saying, oh, yes, that's something special to me
- 10:19Speaker 1: that I haven't told you about. But how do you
- 10:22Speaker 1: really know that you're not just making it up because
- 10:25Speaker 1: of body language or a facial expression that the dog
- 10:29Speaker 1: is giving? I mean, I feel like I can tell
- 10:30Speaker 1: when my dog is sad because I'm not giving her
- 10:32Speaker 1: a bone or because she hasn't gone out and she
- 10:35Speaker 1: wants to just by the way she looks at me.
- 10:37Speaker 1: But I might be putting my experience or my personal
- 10:40Speaker 1: emotions on them. So how do you really know?
- 10:44Speaker 2: A couple of things you said there. One, when your
- 10:48Speaker 2: dog looks at you and they have to go out,
- 10:51Speaker 2: you get that sense because they're telling you, I have
- 10:54Speaker 2: to go out. Of course, sometimes they might bark and
- 10:56Speaker 2: go to the door, but sometimes it's just a look.
- 10:59Speaker 2: And it's Rachel, how did you know that that look
- 11:01Speaker 2: meant they had to go out? You were receiving their
- 11:04Speaker 2: telepathic communication. Now, not the problem. The struggle is when
- 11:09Speaker 2: you're first starting out doing this work, you really can't
- 11:12Speaker 2: practice on your own animals. Because you are too emotionally
- 11:15Speaker 2: attached to your own animals. You're not a clear, neutral channel.
- 11:19Speaker 2: You're not a clear vessel. You already know what your
- 11:22Speaker 2: animals like and don't like. So even though you are
- 11:25Speaker 2: receiving messages from them, you are thinking and you're assuming, oh,
- 11:29Speaker 2: I already knew that. I know my dog. I know
- 11:32Speaker 2: my cat. So I always advise my students, when you
- 11:34Speaker 2: first start out, you have to start out with strangers'
- 11:36Speaker 2: animals or friends of friends' animals. Because Animals that you
- 11:40Speaker 2: don't know. You will grow your confidence a lot faster
- 11:44Speaker 2: when you start getting very specific messages from these animals
- 11:47Speaker 2: about their life, their home, their humans' lives, and you
- 11:51Speaker 2: don't even know who those people are. So to answer
- 11:54Speaker 2: your question about how do you get the validation or
- 11:57Speaker 2: the confirmation that you're actually speaking to them instead of
- 12:01Speaker 2: just reading body language or knowing the type of animal,
- 12:06Speaker 2: the breed, Again, my sessions are all through photo. So
- 12:10Speaker 2: I'm not seeing the dog interact. I'm not seeing the
- 12:13Speaker 2: cat jump up or greet new people. I'm not going
- 12:15Speaker 2: to people's houses. It's just through a photograph. And breed
- 12:19Speaker 2: aside or whatever I can maybe tell from the photo,
- 12:22Speaker 2: my sessions are no less than an hour, usually 75
- 12:25Speaker 2: to 90 minutes. And we cover their whole life. So
- 12:28Speaker 2: when I'm describing... what your animal eats or what they
- 12:32Speaker 2: think about every single one of their human siblings or
- 12:35Speaker 2: their mom or dad. And it's very specific stuff about
- 12:38Speaker 2: you personally. And I've never met you. It's just that
- 12:42Speaker 2: validation that those messages over and over again, where it's
- 12:45Speaker 2: not just big. Oh, my dog likes your dog likes
- 12:47Speaker 2: to go for a walk or they want a bone
- 12:49Speaker 2: or they, you know, love treats. I mean, come on
- 12:52Speaker 2: in my sessions, a dog might mention really loving treats,
- 12:55Speaker 2: but it's, it's very specific details, the whole entire conversation.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Are you excited to jump into 2024?
- 13:03Speaker 2: I am.
- 13:03Speaker 1: I've made my resolutions, and to be honest, I've never
- 13:06Speaker 1: really been good at keeping them. But this year, it's
- 13:08Speaker 1: going to be different because my resolutions are to save money,
- 13:11Speaker 1: spend more time with friends and family, and eat healthier.

- 14:39Speaker 1: So you taught yourself this by reading books.
- 14:42Speaker 2: I did reading books, reading books is not going to
- 14:45Speaker 2: teach you to be an animal communicator, but reading the
- 14:47Speaker 2: books for me opened up my mind to believe that
- 14:50Speaker 2: this was possible.
- 14:51Speaker 1: And then it was.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Really, when I started doing the practice sessions, that's, that's
- 14:56Speaker 2: when you see and you grow and you really learn
- 14:58Speaker 2: to do it because you can read all the books.
- 15:00Speaker 2: You could read books all day long, but unless you're
- 15:02Speaker 2: actually doing it, you're not really going to get anywhere.
- 15:05Speaker 2: But yeah, I taught myself. It was, it's been, it's
- 15:08Speaker 2: been a great journey.
- 15:09Speaker 1: What was it like the first time you realized this
- 15:11Speaker 1: was a real thing and you were onto something? Like,
- 15:14Speaker 1: do you remember that moment?
- 15:16Speaker 2: I do, kind of. I was talking to so many
- 15:19Speaker 2: animals in the very beginning and amazing messages were coming
- 15:23Speaker 2: through and a lot of totally inaccurate messages. Like when
- 15:27Speaker 2: you're first starting out, you're not 100% accurate. But one
- 15:31Speaker 2: of the sessions I did in the very beginning was
- 15:33Speaker 2: with a cat. Her name was Kitty. And the human
- 15:37Speaker 2: just forgot to tell me that her cat had passed
- 15:39Speaker 2: away several months prior. So when I went into the session,
- 15:43Speaker 2: I was thinking she was alive. And I'm so grateful
- 15:45Speaker 2: for that because if I knew that this cat was deceased,
- 15:48Speaker 2: I probably wouldn't have done the session because at that time,
- 15:52Speaker 2: I didn't think that I was a medium or that
- 15:54Speaker 2: I had the ability to talk to animals in spirit.
- 15:57Speaker 2: So I did this session with a cat. She talked
- 15:59Speaker 2: about very specific details of the dark purple comforter, the
- 16:03Speaker 2: green wooden bookshelf to the base of her bed on
- 16:06Speaker 2: the right-hand side, and how her mom would always put
- 16:09Speaker 2: her phone on the nightstand at night and the cat
- 16:11Speaker 2: didn't like it. So she would push it off the nightstand,
- 16:14Speaker 2: which all of it was entirely accurate. And in the
- 16:16Speaker 2: follow-up call, the human mom kept saying kitty used to
- 16:20Speaker 2: do or kitty loved. And I'm like, why is everything
- 16:23Speaker 2: in the past tense? And that's when I found out
- 16:25Speaker 2: that this cat had passed away a couple months prior.
- 16:27Speaker 2: So that was the moment for me where I was like,
- 16:29Speaker 2: oh my gosh, not only am I talking to animals
- 16:32Speaker 2: that are alive, but I can communicate with ones that
- 16:35Speaker 2: are deceased as well. And the messages come through the
- 16:38Speaker 2: exact same. It changed everything. That moment changed everything.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Wow.
- 16:43Speaker 1: So like, and when you're doing these sessions, can people
- 16:45Speaker 1: have conversations with you like to help with behaviors or train? Like,
- 16:51Speaker 1: for example, one of my dogs is a runner. She
- 16:53Speaker 1: constantly is trying to run out the front door. She
- 16:55Speaker 1: loves her life, I think, in my home. but she's
- 16:57Speaker 1: constantly trying to get out and she does not listen.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I've tried to have plenty of trainers. I've tried to
- 17:03Speaker 1: train her. And she just, when she gets something in
- 17:06Speaker 1: her mind and she's running, she's gone. So like, could
- 17:09Speaker 1: I hire someone like you to actually have a conversation
- 17:13Speaker 1: with her and say, you have to stop running because
- 17:15Speaker 1: you're going to get hit by a car one day.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Definitely. But I want you to change up how you
- 17:20Speaker 2: just worded that you have to stop running. When you,
- 17:23Speaker 2: when you say you have to stop running into the road,
- 17:26Speaker 2: The picture in your mind that you're forming when you
- 17:28Speaker 2: say that is her running into the road. So what
- 17:31Speaker 2: you want to say instead is stay in the house,
- 17:34Speaker 2: stay on the porch, stay near my leg. Because then
- 17:37Speaker 2: when you say that, the subconscious mental image that you
- 17:40Speaker 2: are forming while you speak it is actually what you
- 17:43Speaker 2: want them to do. So I had this situation with
- 17:46Speaker 2: one of my dogs, Donald. He would always just run.
- 17:48Speaker 2: I used to call him a flight risk. awful nickname
- 17:51Speaker 2: because that's, he's just going to live up to that
- 17:53Speaker 2: and do that. So when I stopped saying, stop running away,
- 17:57Speaker 2: stop running into the backyard, stop running out of the fence.
- 18:00Speaker 2: And I started saying, stay by my leg, stay on
- 18:02Speaker 2: the porch, stay in the house. It's made a massive difference.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Now I'm not saying just doing that is going to
- 18:09Speaker 2: solve the issue for every animal. Sometimes it does, sometimes
- 18:13Speaker 2: it doesn't. I talked to a dog the other day
- 18:15Speaker 2: that was running out all the time and they would
- 18:18Speaker 2: always find him. It was this little chihuahua. And when
- 18:20Speaker 2: I connected with him yesterday and I said, what is
- 18:22Speaker 2: going on? He's like, I don't get what the big
- 18:24Speaker 2: deal is. They always find me. I like to explore
- 18:27Speaker 2: new places. It's never been a problem. And like, what's
- 18:30Speaker 2: the problem? You know, so sometimes they just frankly don't
- 18:33Speaker 2: care and want to go have some fun. But sometimes
- 18:36Speaker 2: we can work on changing the dialogue that....
- 18:41Speaker 4: They think you're done for the day, but they don't
- 18:44Speaker 4: know about the drawer. The drawer.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Just the one square before bed. Or two, you know.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Nobody's watching. You deserve a treat.
- 19:00Speaker 4: With eight flavours to choose from, you can choose the
- 19:03Speaker 4: flavour you favour with Cadbury Dairy Milk.
- 19:11Speaker 2: We are using to help them not do that, but
- 19:15Speaker 2: also is there a reason why they keep wanting to
- 19:20Speaker 2: run out front? I don't know. Do they not like
- 19:21Speaker 2: their cat sister or something? I don't know. That's a
- 19:23Speaker 2: silly example, but you know, we can, we definitely can
- 19:26Speaker 2: explore that and see what resolution we can come to. Totally.
- 19:30Speaker 1: You talked about animals that are already deceased. What would
- 19:33Speaker 1: be the point of somebody contacting you to talk to
- 19:36Speaker 1: these dead animals? Is it because they're going through so
- 19:38Speaker 1: much grief and they can't get over it? I mean,
- 19:40Speaker 1: what could you be getting from communicating with an animal
- 19:43Speaker 1: that's no longer alive?
- 19:45Speaker 2: Sure. Sometimes it is helping them move beyond their grief.
- 19:50Speaker 2: or maybe they have some unanswered questions. Did I help
- 19:53Speaker 2: you transition too soon? Or maybe the animal passed naturally
- 19:56Speaker 2: and they're wondering, would you have rathered me help you transition? Like,
- 20:00Speaker 2: were you suffering? Were you in pain? It's just to
- 20:02Speaker 2: get closure on kind of end of life decisions, end
- 20:05Speaker 2: of life care, but also How are you still with me?
- 20:09Speaker 2: Are you sending me signs? Are you sending me messages? Like,
- 20:11Speaker 2: what should I look out for? Or what do you
- 20:14Speaker 2: think of our new dog? Are you upset that we
- 20:16Speaker 2: got a new animal? It's really a plethora of all
- 20:19Speaker 2: of these different reasons. It's unique to each person. Sometimes
- 20:22Speaker 2: it's been, it really is just to feel that connection again,
- 20:27Speaker 2: because when I connect with the animals in spirit, the
- 20:29Speaker 2: session is the same length. It's 75 to 90 minutes.
- 20:32Speaker 2: And we talk about everything. What were, what were some
- 20:34Speaker 2: of your favorite activities you did? Is there anything in
- 20:37Speaker 2: your home right now you don't like? I love that question.
- 20:39Speaker 2: It's so funny. They have opinions still in spirit. you know,
- 20:42Speaker 2: what's your favorite part of the house? What do you
- 20:44Speaker 2: think of your human siblings? And they talk about things
- 20:47Speaker 2: that are happening in your life right now. And it's
- 20:49Speaker 2: very comforting because like you said, in the very beginning,
- 20:52Speaker 2: we love our animals more than we do a lot
- 20:54Speaker 2: of our human family members. So it's just bringing, it's,
- 20:57Speaker 2: it's continuing. It's allowing you to continue feeling that love
- 21:01Speaker 2: and connection with your animal, even in spirit.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Well, it's so interesting though, because, you know, I have
- 21:06Speaker 1: suffered some loss with you know, humans in my life,
- 21:09Speaker 1: but I've also suffered big losses with a couple of
- 21:13Speaker 1: dogs in my life. And it was so devastating to
- 21:15Speaker 1: me that I couldn't sort of move on for a while.
- 21:18Speaker 1: And I've talked about it a lot. And I feel
- 21:20Speaker 1: like part of that reason is because you cannot communicate
- 21:23Speaker 1: with them. or at least the people who are trying
- 21:27Speaker 1: so hard, they can't explain to them what's happening. They
- 21:30Speaker 1: can't tell them that it's going to be okay. They
- 21:32Speaker 1: can't hear what kind of pain they're in and the
- 21:35Speaker 1: suffering they're going through. And that is so painful to
- 21:37Speaker 1: lose a pet, whether through a tragedy or having to
- 21:40Speaker 1: decide to put them to sleep to know if it's
- 21:43Speaker 1: the right time. And for me, that was so difficult.
- 21:46Speaker 1: I had a dog for almost 20 years. His name
- 21:49Speaker 1: was Rudy. And, um, I kept him alive. You know,
- 21:52Speaker 1: people would say for six years, you should put this
- 21:55Speaker 1: dog to sleep. And I was like, no, you don't understand.
- 21:58Speaker 1: And his mind is there, his body's getting older, but
- 22:01Speaker 1: he he's with me. He's like my whole life. Like
- 22:03Speaker 1: he was the love of my life kind of, you know? Um,
- 22:07Speaker 1: and then his brother also died before that. My dog
- 22:11Speaker 1: Ozzie died. But it was so, you know, at that
- 22:14Speaker 1: point I knew when I chose to finally put them
- 22:16Speaker 1: both to sleep, I knew that it was the right time.
- 22:19Speaker 1: And again, I don't have the skills to communicate with animals,
- 22:22Speaker 1: even though I would love to, and maybe I need
- 22:23Speaker 1: to take your class. But the moment that it finally
- 22:27Speaker 1: came that I needed to put them to sleep, I
- 22:30Speaker 1: had an understanding and I felt like my dogs had
- 22:33Speaker 1: an understanding as well. And then I want to tell
- 22:36Speaker 1: you another story. I had another dog that I only
- 22:39Speaker 1: had for maybe two months. And at the time, the dog,
- 22:42Speaker 1: his name was Mickey, I had rescued him and he
- 22:46Speaker 1: died of distemper. So it was out of nowhere. And
- 22:49Speaker 1: he was really young and he was a Jack Russell terrier.
- 22:53Speaker 1: And it was devastating to me because I loved him.
- 22:56Speaker 1: And all of a sudden he got these seizures and
- 22:57Speaker 1: we had to put him to sleep. And for me,
- 23:01Speaker 1: I always was like, why did this happen?
- 23:04Speaker 2: Why did.
- 23:06Speaker 1: In what, you know, people always say like things happen
- 23:08Speaker 1: for a reason. And I thought it was such a
- 23:09Speaker 1: terrible thing to take an animal at such a young age.
- 23:12Speaker 1: You might, it might've been four months old, you know?
- 23:14Speaker 1: And for me, it ended up being, you know, my
- 23:16Speaker 1: fiance at the time was with me and he took
- 23:18Speaker 1: me to dinner that night and he said, there was
- 23:20Speaker 1: a reason for everything. And you loved Mickey more than anyone, um,
- 23:24Speaker 1: could have. And it, and he didn't know he could
- 23:26Speaker 1: have lived for 12 years. He thought that that was
- 23:28Speaker 1: his life and he lived a full life with you
- 23:30Speaker 1: loving him. And, um, I'll share with you that two
- 23:34Speaker 1: weeks later, my fiance at the time was killed. And
- 23:37Speaker 1: so I ended up getting another dog who ended up
- 23:39Speaker 1: being Rudy. And about a year later, I was, I
- 23:44Speaker 1: woke up from a dream and I had, I was
- 23:48Speaker 1: on a trip and I had a roommate at the
- 23:49Speaker 1: time and I woke this girl up and I was like,
- 23:51Speaker 1: I know why Mickey died. And she was like, I
- 23:54Speaker 1: don't even know who Mickey is. What are we talking about?
- 23:56Speaker 1: And I said, I, Mickey died so that Andy, my fiancee,
- 24:01Speaker 1: could explain to me this concept of you don't need
- 24:04Speaker 1: to live what you think is a full life to
- 24:08Speaker 1: have been loved and to make an impact on someone.
- 24:11Speaker 1: And it was such a huge lesson. So dogs to
- 24:14Speaker 1: me are a huge, like love and a, and a
- 24:17Speaker 1: huge lesson. And, and it, and it taught me that
- 24:20Speaker 1: no matter how long a dog lives, as long as
- 24:22Speaker 1: you've loved it and it feels love that that's, you know,
- 24:25Speaker 1: very important. So anyways, I wanted to share that with you.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Rachel, I have my whole body just got goosebumps when
- 24:30Speaker 2: you said that. And a huge part of not really
- 24:33Speaker 2: my work, but just my life is, have you ever
- 24:35Speaker 2: heard of animal soul contracts?
- 24:38Speaker 1: No.
- 24:39Speaker 2: So there's a book called by Tammy Billups. It's called
- 24:42Speaker 2: animal soul contracts. It is phenomenal. You see all my
- 24:49Speaker 2: tabs and it talks about, it talks about how animals
- 24:53Speaker 2: come into our life to teach us something, to show
- 24:58Speaker 2: us something that we might not have ever realized or
- 25:03Speaker 2: came to be aware of without that. So like this
- 25:06Speaker 2: dog coming into your life, like Mickey coming into your life,
- 25:09Speaker 2: teach and then your fiance telling you this, this lesson,
- 25:12Speaker 2: this profound life lesson that helped you then navigate his
- 25:16Speaker 2: passing and your life going forward. It's like, you can't
- 25:19Speaker 2: make this stuff up. Yeah. The relationships that we form
- 25:24Speaker 2: with our animals are so deep that there's so much
- 25:27Speaker 2: more to it than, oh, I just bought them at
- 25:30Speaker 2: the pet store. I hear that so often. Like, no,
- 25:32Speaker 2: my dog didn't choose me. I just bought them at
- 25:33Speaker 2: the pet store. And I'm like, you guys are missing
- 25:36Speaker 2: the mark here. Like, no, why did you go to
- 25:38Speaker 2: that pet store? Why did you go that day? Right?
- 25:41Speaker 2: Like there's so much more under the, behind the scenes
- 25:43Speaker 2: for sure.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Right, right. So talk to me more about your school.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Is it considered a school?
- 25:50Speaker 2: Oh, I'm glad you brought that up. Yes. I wanted
- 25:52Speaker 2: to say this. You mentioned something earlier, how when you
- 25:55Speaker 2: were looking at your dogs last night, like you don't
- 25:56Speaker 2: have the ability to communicate but you do. Probably 85,
- 26:01Speaker 2: 90% of my students never even heard of animal communication
- 26:05Speaker 2: until they found me on social media. And one of
- 26:08Speaker 2: my students, she just posted it in our online school
- 26:11Speaker 2: portal yesterday. She was like 51 weeks ago because she
- 26:15Speaker 2: joined last January.
- 26:17Speaker 1: When I opened.
- 26:18Speaker 2: She said 51 weeks ago, I never would have imagined
- 26:21Speaker 2: that I would be talking to animals, let alone like
- 26:24Speaker 2: changing lives like her life, but, and, and animals lives
- 26:28Speaker 2: because their voices are being heard. So anyone and everyone
- 26:31Speaker 2: can do this 100%. So yes, I have an online school.
- 26:34Speaker 2: There's about 75 students right now. We have weekly events
- 26:38Speaker 2: and it's people starting from, from zero, not having what
- 26:43Speaker 2: they perceive to be any psychic or intuitive abilities. And
- 26:46Speaker 2: I see every single week people doing it. It's, it's just,
- 26:49Speaker 2: it's so magical.
- 26:51Speaker 1: So is it an online class that anyone can join?
- 26:54Speaker 1: Is there a wait list for it?
- 26:56Speaker 2: No, no wait list. So what it is, is you
- 26:58Speaker 2: pay monthly. It's a membership. And we have a every
- 27:02Speaker 2: other week, every week we have an event. So twice
- 27:04Speaker 2: a month, we have an hour long Q & A
- 27:06Speaker 2: question and answer. And twice a month, we have an
- 27:08Speaker 2: hour and a half long practice corner where you actually
- 27:11Speaker 2: do real animal communication sessions and get instant feedback. And
- 27:15Speaker 2: then in the portal, there are articles and videos and
- 27:19Speaker 2: training to help you, whether you want to just do
- 27:22Speaker 2: this for your own animals or whether you want to
- 27:24Speaker 2: do this professionally. But it's the tools there and it's
- 27:27Speaker 2: the accountability that most people need to stay consistent because
- 27:32Speaker 2: consistency with this is key. You can't just do it
- 27:35Speaker 2: once a month. You really need to build the muscle.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Animal communication is a muscle. If you want a six-pack
- 27:40Speaker 2: and you go to the gym once a month and
- 27:42Speaker 2: do 20 minutes of abs, you're never going to have
- 27:44Speaker 2: a six-pack, right? It's the same thing.
- 27:47Speaker 4: They think you're done for the day, but they don't
- 27:50Speaker 4: know about the drawer. The drawer.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Just the one square before bed. Or two, you know.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Nobody's watching. You deserve a treat.
- 28:06Speaker 4: With eight flavors to choose from, you can choose the
- 28:09Speaker 4: flavor you favor with Cadbury Dairy Milk.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Animal communication.
- 28:19Speaker 1: So, and how much does something like this cost?
- 28:21Speaker 2: It's $ 64. 99 a month. What?
- 28:25Speaker 1: That sounds very affordable.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's, I want people to be able to do it.
- 28:30Speaker 2: I am in the process right now of creating a larger, comprehensive... course,
- 28:37Speaker 2: that's going to be a larger ticket price item. And
- 28:39Speaker 2: then if you buy that, you'll have lifetime access to
- 28:42Speaker 2: my online school, but I'm in the, I don't have
- 28:45Speaker 2: that finished yet, but that's going to be hopefully the
- 28:47Speaker 2: next couple of months. And it's going to be just
- 28:49Speaker 2: intense video modules and walking you through step by step.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Cause I, you know, people learn differently. Some people like
- 28:55Speaker 2: to read articles. Some people like to just come to
- 28:57Speaker 2: the live events, but if you're like me, I like
- 29:00Speaker 2: to watch a video and have something to follow and
- 29:03Speaker 2: go step by step.
- 29:05Speaker 1: And how long would people have to be participating in
- 29:07Speaker 1: your school to feel like they know what they're doing
- 29:10Speaker 1: and they're starting to see results?
- 29:12Speaker 2: It really depends on the specific person. I've had students,
- 29:15Speaker 2: their very first practice corner, get very specific, phenomenal messages.
- 29:20Speaker 2: I have some students where it takes a couple weeks,
- 29:22Speaker 2: a couple months, but it goes back to you as
- 29:25Speaker 2: a person. So I always advise my students, succeeding at
- 29:28Speaker 2: animal communication is only 10% skill but 90% your lifestyle.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Are you really stressed out? Are you in a toxic relationship?
- 29:37Speaker 2: Are you not well health-wise all of those factors are
- 29:40Speaker 2: going to make it harder maybe probably to succeed at
- 29:44Speaker 2: animal communication right now just like it would make it
- 29:46Speaker 2: harder to do other things in life right so it
- 29:49Speaker 2: just depends on the on the person but it can
- 29:52Speaker 2: be very fast i mean because We as humans, we
- 29:55Speaker 2: all innately within us have this ability to talk to animals.
- 30:00Speaker 2: It's not something we have to quote unquote learn. It's
- 30:03Speaker 2: just something we have to reawaken within us. Yeah.
- 30:07Speaker 1: I'm curious. Has anyone ever called you in to look
- 30:10Speaker 1: for a missing pet or to, you know, to find
- 30:13Speaker 1: a missing pet, find out where one is?
- 30:15Speaker 2: Yeah. So I don't, I don't do missing animal services,
- 30:18Speaker 2: like paid sessions because where I'm at now in my business,
- 30:22Speaker 2: I have such a long wait list and missing animal sessions.
- 30:25Speaker 2: You need immediate attention right then and there. And it
- 30:28Speaker 2: often requires a couple sessions. And I just don't have
- 30:30Speaker 2: the ability to do that because you can't do these
- 30:32Speaker 2: sessions all day long. But just the other day, a
- 30:35Speaker 2: friend's animal was missing. So I quick checked in with
- 30:38Speaker 2: him and I didn't know, I felt him at a
- 30:43Speaker 2: person's house. And I said, I'm seeing him standing in
- 30:47Speaker 2: the driveway next to a truck. He's at a house,
- 30:50Speaker 2: there's a porch light on, and there's a number two
- 30:53Speaker 2: in the address. But he's safe. He's not on the road.
- 30:56Speaker 2: He's not stuck. And shortly thereafter, through Facebook, they found
- 31:01Speaker 2: him about a half a mile away at a house
- 31:04Speaker 2: with a front porch light on a pickup truck in
- 31:05Speaker 2: the driveway, and the address was 720. So I was like,
- 31:09Speaker 2: that was so cool. Because missing animals isn't really something
- 31:11Speaker 2: I've dove into. Some animal communicators will use dowsing rods
- 31:16Speaker 2: and maps. It's a whole intricate process. Me not really
- 31:20Speaker 2: even doing missing animals. When you just tap into spirit
- 31:24Speaker 2: and ask questions, you know, they show you things. You
- 31:26Speaker 2: just have to learn to trust what you're getting, which
- 31:28Speaker 2: is the hard part.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Can you go into like a animal rescue or to
- 31:32Speaker 1: a dog run or is it like just voices everywhere?
- 31:37Speaker 2: It's so it's not voices everywhere. And I, a lot
- 31:39Speaker 2: of people think that's what it's like. That would be
- 31:41Speaker 2: very exhausting. So animal communication. Yes. There are times where
- 31:45Speaker 2: you will receive unsolicited messages from animals. Totally. That happens.
- 31:49Speaker 2: But for the majority of the time, and I think
- 31:51Speaker 2: I can speak for a lot of animal communicators here,
- 31:54Speaker 2: it really is you're setting the intention to have a
- 31:57Speaker 2: conversation with a specific animal at a specific time. You
- 32:00Speaker 2: really need to have those boundaries in this work. Otherwise,
- 32:02Speaker 2: your life would be totally overwhelming.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Right. I mean, you would walk into someone's house and
- 32:07Speaker 1: you would feel like you're talking to them or they're
- 32:10Speaker 1: saying something to you. And you were talking about how
- 32:13Speaker 1: you have a wait list. What is your wait list
- 32:15Speaker 1: right now?
- 32:16Speaker 2: Oh, gosh. It's like over 7,500 people. it's at the
- 32:20Speaker 2: point now where I will never be able to do
- 32:23Speaker 2: a session for everyone on my wait list. If I'm
- 32:25Speaker 2: only doing one set, I only do one session a
- 32:27Speaker 2: day now because the rest of my day is with
- 32:29Speaker 2: the school and other things, but I do one session
- 32:31Speaker 2: a day, sometimes two, but typically one and three or
- 32:35Speaker 2: four days a week. It's not like I'm doing this.
- 32:37Speaker 2: People think that I'm doing sessions eight hours a day
- 32:39Speaker 2: and I'm making a million dollars here talking to animals.
- 32:41Speaker 2: It's not the case. So my wait list, the way
- 32:44Speaker 2: it's set up is like a couple of times a year,
- 32:46Speaker 2: I'll send an email out to people on my wait
- 32:48Speaker 2: list and I'll say, One or two weeks from now
- 32:51Speaker 2: on this date at this time, my books will open.
- 32:53Speaker 2: I only take a limited amount of orders to book
- 32:56Speaker 2: me out about two, three months and then first come
- 32:59Speaker 2: first serve. And then once I'm finished those, I do
- 33:01Speaker 2: the process again. I don't want people to pay for
- 33:03Speaker 2: a session and then not receive it for a year
- 33:06Speaker 2: because a lot can change in your animal's life in
- 33:08Speaker 2: a year. It's not like we're connecting with a deceased
- 33:10Speaker 2: human family member. So that's my process right now.
- 33:14Speaker 1: And how much are you charging per session?
- 33:16Speaker 2: It's $ 550 for 90 minutes. The sessions are 75 to
- 33:20Speaker 2: 90 minutes, but usually an hour and a half.
- 33:23Speaker 1: So people that are joining your class and getting these skills,
- 33:27Speaker 1: is there some sort of a diploma? Are they able
- 33:30Speaker 1: to say, I've completed this course and now I'm able
- 33:33Speaker 1: to charge X amount and go out in the world
- 33:36Speaker 1: and do this? I mean, how do we know that
- 33:39Speaker 1: if we wanted to hire someone that they have some
- 33:41Speaker 1: real credentials?
- 33:42Speaker 2: At the, as of right now, I don't have a
- 33:45Speaker 2: certification program. And that's just for me, because if I'm
- 33:48Speaker 2: going to certify someone and they're going to use my
- 33:51Speaker 2: name with their business, like I want to make sure
- 33:53Speaker 2: that like, I want my name, like that stamp of approval.
- 33:57Speaker 4: Right.
- 33:57Speaker 2: So right now I just don't have the system set
- 33:59Speaker 2: up to be like, okay, you are certified under me.
- 34:02Speaker 2: But what I recommend people do is before hiring any
- 34:04Speaker 2: animal communicator, any psychic, anyone really at all, even if
- 34:08Speaker 2: it's a realtor, right. You want to look them up.
- 34:10Speaker 2: You want to see if you resonate with them, how
- 34:12Speaker 2: they speak. Do they have a social media? The one
- 34:15Speaker 2: thing I do tell people is if you are seeking
- 34:17Speaker 2: out an animal communicator and they tell you, yes, I
- 34:20Speaker 2: can 100% guarantee we can solve this problem. What you
- 34:24Speaker 2: brought up earlier with your dog, my dog running out
- 34:26Speaker 2: of the house. If I were to say I can
- 34:28Speaker 2: 100% Rachel resolve that run far away because one, you
- 34:33Speaker 2: cannot guarantee anything to no one in this work is
- 34:36Speaker 2: a hundred percent accurate, right? It's dealing with spirit and
- 34:39Speaker 2: telepathic messages and you're only able to relay what the
- 34:42Speaker 2: animals are sharing. So if someone is saying, yep, a
- 34:45Speaker 2: hundred percent, we can solve this. I would maybe take
- 34:49Speaker 2: a step back a little bit, but you have to
- 34:51Speaker 2: trust yourself. It's, does this person seem legitimate? Do they seem,
- 34:55Speaker 2: do they seem reliable? Do they have a presence that
- 34:58Speaker 2: of like, do they have proof? Do they have testimonials?
- 35:00Speaker 2: All of that. Right.
- 35:03Speaker 1: How do people sign up for your course? Is there,
- 35:05Speaker 1: is there an online thing?
- 35:07Speaker 2: Yes, so on my website, which is NikkiVascones.com, if you
- 35:11Speaker 2: click on the Academy tab, you can read all about it.
- 35:14Speaker 2: And at the very bottom, you can choose to join monthly,
- 35:17Speaker 2: which is the $ 64. 99 a month, or you can pay
- 35:20Speaker 2: in full and get two months free for the year.
- 35:22Speaker 2: But that's all the information is on my website there
- 35:24Speaker 2: for you.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Okay, and then for people that are sitting here listening
- 35:28Speaker 1: and lucky enough to be listening to you because it
- 35:31Speaker 1: takes so long to meet you. Can you give us
- 35:33Speaker 1: like three to five tips on how we can start
- 35:35Speaker 1: communicating better with our animals today?
- 35:38Speaker 2: The first tip is what we talked about earlier, being
- 35:41Speaker 2: aware of how you are phrasing things to your animals.
- 35:45Speaker 2: If you want them to not jump on the couch,
- 35:48Speaker 2: you don't want to say, don't jump on the couch.
- 35:49Speaker 2: You on the ground, right?
- 35:53Speaker 1: And is it something when you say, say, are we
- 35:56Speaker 1: supposed to verbalize this or it's something you're supposed to
- 35:58Speaker 1: think in your mind?
- 35:59Speaker 2: It doesn't matter. I'm a very verbal, vocal person. So
- 36:04Speaker 2: I always say everything out loud. It's just the nature
- 36:06Speaker 2: of who I am, but you don't have to. You
- 36:08Speaker 2: can say it out loud. Just think it in your mind.
- 36:10Speaker 2: The animal is receiving it regardless. Animal's primary language is telepathy.
- 36:14Speaker 2: They don't have to work at receiving these messages like
- 36:17Speaker 2: we do. They're getting it. So the first step is
- 36:23Speaker 2: phrasing things appropriately. And if your dog's about to run
- 36:26Speaker 2: into the road, right? I don't want you to, I'm
- 36:28Speaker 2: not saying stand there silent and just picture, please come
- 36:32Speaker 2: back to me. Like, okay, we're in the real world here, right?
- 36:34Speaker 2: We have to maybe yell, stop or whatever. But you,
- 36:38Speaker 2: when you're in that situation, you want to say, come
- 36:41Speaker 2: to me as opposed to stop running forward, you know,
- 36:45Speaker 2: things like that. That's the first step. And That, you
- 36:49Speaker 2: will see a difference with that, with everything. Instead of saying,
- 36:52Speaker 2: don't attack your brother.
- 36:54Speaker 4: They think you're done for the day, but they don't
- 36:57Speaker 4: know about the drawer. The drawer.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Just the one square before bed. Or two, you know.
- 37:07Speaker 3: Nobody's watching. You deserve a treat.
- 37:13Speaker 4: With eight flavors to choose from, you can choose the
- 37:16Speaker 4: flavor you favor.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Don't fight with your sister. Play nice. Respect each other's space.
- 37:29Speaker 2: So that's huge. The second tip I give people is
- 37:34Speaker 2: be aware of your own emotions, your own stress, how
- 37:38Speaker 2: you're feeling. Because if your animal is exhibiting some anxiety
- 37:42Speaker 2: issues or separation anxiety issues, Yes, sometimes it is truly them,
- 37:49Speaker 2: but are they only anxious because you're really stressed out
- 37:52Speaker 2: right now and they're picking up your energy and your stress?
- 37:55Speaker 2: A lot of times these behavioral issues in our animals
- 37:58Speaker 2: really are just them trying to process our own things.
- 38:01Speaker 2: So it's really cool when you're aware of that, you
- 38:04Speaker 2: can change their lives almost instantaneously because they're like, oh,
- 38:08Speaker 2: mom and dad, mom or dad, they're okay. Like I
- 38:11Speaker 2: can calm down now.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 38:14Speaker 2: And the third tip would be for those that want
- 38:16Speaker 2: to really try to practice communicating with animals, just have
- 38:21Speaker 2: the courage, text a friend or a family member and say, Hey,
- 38:25Speaker 2: can you send me a picture of your cat, your dog,
- 38:27Speaker 2: your horse? And I'm just going to see what I
- 38:29Speaker 2: can get. You have to, you have to try it
- 38:33Speaker 2: with an animal other than your own to convince yourself.
- 38:36Speaker 2: It's not just your imagination, because like you said earlier, Rachel,
- 38:39Speaker 2: when you're talking to your own animals and you already
- 38:42Speaker 2: know what they like and don't like. So if they
- 38:44Speaker 2: say something like, Oh, I want to play with my
- 38:46Speaker 2: ball right now. You're going to be like, that was me.
- 38:49Speaker 2: I know they love their ball. They didn't really just
- 38:51Speaker 2: tell me that, but they might have just told you that. Right. Okay.
- 38:55Speaker 1: So do you feel comfortable giving us an example with
- 38:58Speaker 1: one of my dogs? I think my producer sent you
- 39:01Speaker 1: a photo of, of one of my, my three animals.
- 39:03Speaker 4: Definitely.
- 39:04Speaker 2: She, she emailed me the photo. Let me just, I'll
- 39:07Speaker 2: show the picture so that we know that we're on
- 39:08Speaker 2: the same animal here.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Oh, my little Mishka.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Okay. Oh, sorry. That's not very clear. Could you see that?
- 39:16Speaker 2: We can do a different. Nope.
- 39:18Speaker 4: That's it.
- 39:18Speaker 1: My little Mishka.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Yeah. So how do you, how do you say the name?
- 39:22Speaker 1: Mishka.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Mishka. Male or female? Female. Living or in spirit? Living. Okay.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Mishka.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Living. So just give me a moment to connect. I'm
- 39:31Speaker 2: just going to look at her photo.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Okay.
- 39:35Speaker 2: She says, the first thing she says is, oh, I
- 39:38Speaker 2: am so over it. All the other animals. I think
- 39:41Speaker 2: she said boys, all the other boys. They're just loud
- 39:44Speaker 2: and in my face getting in front of me. So
- 39:47Speaker 2: let me see what she wants to go with this.
- 39:51Speaker 2: They're trying to put on a show and why can't
- 39:53Speaker 2: we just like wait our turn? Do you have two
- 39:59Speaker 2: bigger than her male dogs in the house or bigger dogs? Yeah.
- 40:03Speaker 1: I have two bigger dogs. One is a puppy and
- 40:06Speaker 1: he's a boy. He's growing very big. He will be
- 40:08Speaker 1: very big. And the other one is a girl, but
- 40:11Speaker 1: she has some very male energy. She's a pit bull
- 40:14Speaker 1: Siberian Husky mix and comes off very aggressive. Yeah.
- 40:18Speaker 2: So the reason I'm asking is because what Mishka is
- 40:20Speaker 2: showing me is those two dogs are at the door
- 40:23Speaker 2: and I'm seeing a big door with like windows on
- 40:26Speaker 2: either side of it. And they're wanting to go forward
- 40:29Speaker 2: when they see something and they're getting excited and And
- 40:31Speaker 2: Mishka's in the back, like, really? This is not going
- 40:34Speaker 2: to make the door open faster. Can we just step
- 40:36Speaker 2: back and like chill out? Does that sound like Mishka?
- 40:40Speaker 4: Yes.
- 40:40Speaker 1: And by the way, I have a huge door with
- 40:42Speaker 1: two windows on either side.
- 40:43Speaker 2: On either side. Is it like the skinny little windows
- 40:46Speaker 2: that kind of go the parallel to the door?
- 40:49Speaker 1: Yes.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Okay. Yeah. All right. So I'm going to keep going,
- 40:53Speaker 2: but just to help you understand, when I start my sessions,
- 40:56Speaker 2: I don't ask questions. It's just, hey, what did the
- 40:59Speaker 2: animals want to say? right away. Cause if I were
- 41:01Speaker 2: to just barge into your house and be like, I
- 41:04Speaker 2: want to ask you this, this, and this, you're going
- 41:06Speaker 2: to be like, Whoa, chill out. Like, Hey, how you doing?
- 41:09Speaker 2: All right. So Nishka, what else do you want to
- 41:12Speaker 2: share with your mom right now? Tell me about your
- 41:15Speaker 2: personality though. So a fun, fun part of her life.
- 41:19Speaker 2: She's showing me you being brushed. And as you're brushing her,
- 41:24Speaker 2: you're like singing or like a, like a song or
- 41:28Speaker 2: a tone or something as you're doing this, is this
- 41:30Speaker 2: what you're doing to her? And she's like, feels like
- 41:32Speaker 2: she's just being pampered and like rubbed down. Do you
- 41:36Speaker 2: know what this image is?
- 41:38Speaker 1: I don't brush her too much. She doesn't like it,
- 41:40Speaker 1: but I, I sing to her and I pan. She
- 41:42Speaker 1: is very pampered.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Yeah. Are you, when you're singing to her, are you
- 41:46Speaker 2: rubbing your hand like down her, down her neck, down
- 41:49Speaker 2: her back, like while singing to her?
- 41:50Speaker 1: Okay.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Okay. Okay, so she really likes that. All right, so
- 41:54Speaker 2: she wants to talk about food now. Tell me about
- 41:56Speaker 2: your food, Mishka. I'm seeing her like, she's like moving
- 42:00Speaker 2: all around. She's getting all excited. It's like the happy feet. Okay,
- 42:03Speaker 2: keep going. Tell me more about your food. She says,
- 42:07Speaker 2: I'm not very patient and I'm seeing you putting the
- 42:09Speaker 2: food dish down and like, she's like getting her, she's
- 42:12Speaker 2: like putting her chin like in it, like wanting it,
- 42:15Speaker 2: wanting it, wanting it. Does that sound like how she
- 42:18Speaker 2: is with her food? Yes.
- 42:20Speaker 1: She's very picky with her food. So I have to put,
- 42:22Speaker 1: I slather some peanut butter on it. So that's probably
- 42:26Speaker 1: what she likes.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Yeah. She says that she eats, she says that she
- 42:32Speaker 2: feels special because she, where the location that she eats
- 42:35Speaker 2: in the home is closer to where you always are
- 42:38Speaker 2: when you're, when you're preparing it. Whereas the other dogs,
- 42:40Speaker 2: I feel like they're like further, like deeper in the
- 42:43Speaker 2: kitchen or further back. Um, she says that hers is
- 42:47Speaker 2: more towards like the kitchen Island, like the middle of
- 42:49Speaker 2: the room. Is that where she eats often?
- 42:52Speaker 1: Yes. I put her on top of the Island to
- 42:54Speaker 1: feed her because I mean, compared to the other two
- 42:58Speaker 1: and they will just eat her food. So she gets
- 43:00Speaker 1: to be up on the counter.
- 43:01Speaker 2: Oh, love it. She, she thinks that's really special and she,
- 43:04Speaker 2: so that makes her really happy. Is there a specific
- 43:07Speaker 2: question you want me to ask her or I can
- 43:09Speaker 2: just keep going with whatever she'd like to share?
- 43:12Speaker 1: Yeah, the thing with Mishka is that she's five now
- 43:16Speaker 1: and in the last couple of years, she's terrible on
- 43:19Speaker 1: the leash and she's terrible with other things. animals. And,
- 43:23Speaker 1: you know, I, I sort of, I guess I really
- 43:27Speaker 1: baby her because I feel like there's something that she's
- 43:30Speaker 1: so anxious about, or she has a lot of separation
- 43:32Speaker 1: anxiety with me. She gets very kind of violent with
- 43:35Speaker 1: other dogs, especially when she's on the leash. And I
- 43:38Speaker 1: don't know if there's something she wants to tell me
- 43:39Speaker 1: about that or how I can fix that for her
- 43:42Speaker 1: to calm her down and let her know that she's safe.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Okay. So let's talk about the leash. So Mishka, allow
- 43:48Speaker 2: me to feel what it feels like for you. when
- 43:51Speaker 2: you're on the leash? She's showing me like her teeth.
- 43:56Speaker 2: Does her lip come up and does she like show
- 43:58Speaker 2: her teeth when she's in that state? Okay, so let's
- 44:01Speaker 2: see what she says about this. Why do you feel
- 44:04Speaker 2: like you need to protect mom here? What's going on?
- 44:07Speaker 2: She says, I don't want my mom to get hurt emotionally,
- 44:11Speaker 2: not physically. She's not afraid you're gonna be attacked. So
- 44:14Speaker 2: let's see. Do you want me to keep going with this?
- 44:16Speaker 2: I don't know if you're okay with whatever, okay. What
- 44:20Speaker 2: do you mean by that, Mishka? Tell me more. She
- 44:23Speaker 2: says that mom doesn't trust people, specifically with men. She's like,
- 44:32Speaker 2: mom doesn't trust very easily. So I feel that I
- 44:35Speaker 2: need to make her feel confident and secure in her day.
- 44:39Speaker 2: So continue. Tell me more there, Mishka. She wants to
- 44:43Speaker 2: show you that she is strong enough to be there
- 44:46Speaker 2: for you.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Why do you feel that you need to show mom that?
- 44:52Speaker 2: She says, I've been with mom through a lot. Okay,
- 44:57Speaker 2: hold on. She's cutting me off. She says, I've been
- 45:01Speaker 2: with mom through a lot and I've seen her do
- 45:03Speaker 2: all of these things by herself and on her own.
- 45:06Speaker 2: And I want mom to know that I can be
- 45:08Speaker 2: there for her. So I'm going to ask her in
- 45:10Speaker 2: a moment how we can stop this activity. But does
- 45:14Speaker 2: what she shared thus far, does that sound, does that
- 45:17Speaker 2: resonate with you?
- 45:19Speaker 1: Yes, it does.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Okay. So Mishka, how can we change up how you're acting?
- 45:23Speaker 2: Because if you're on a leash and you're doing this,
- 45:26Speaker 2: it's actually going to limit what you and mom are
- 45:28Speaker 2: able to do. And it's going to limit the activities
- 45:31Speaker 2: that you can do out of the house because of
- 45:33Speaker 2: your reactions towards other dogs. So how can we change
- 45:37Speaker 2: up your behavior now knowing that mom understands what you're thinking?
- 45:41Speaker 2: She said that she thought it was impressive to you
- 45:43Speaker 2: because she was putting on a show showing you that
- 45:46Speaker 2: she could handle it. So what I want you to do, Rachel,
- 45:49Speaker 2: is rather than, and it's hard because you're a human, right?
- 45:54Speaker 2: Rather than fearing, not fearing, but rather than like being like,
- 45:59Speaker 2: oh no, is she going to freak out? There's a dog.
- 46:01Speaker 2: I want you to maintain your composure and I want
- 46:04Speaker 2: you to say, Mishka, I see them. Thank you so much.
- 46:08Speaker 2: This is a nice walk. I feel confident. I feel secure.
- 46:11Speaker 2: We are safe. And see if that doesn't change the situation.
- 46:16Speaker 2: But let's see if there's something else here with the leash,
- 46:19Speaker 2: just being on the leash in general. She, she associates
- 46:22Speaker 2: the leash with just like game on. Like I'm, it's my,
- 46:27Speaker 2: like the leash goes on and she's like, I have to,
- 46:32Speaker 2: I have to be powerful here for mom. It's almost
- 46:34Speaker 2: like a switch, like an on switch. Like, okay, this
- 46:37Speaker 2: is my, like, what's the word I'm looking for? Like,
- 46:40Speaker 2: if you're about to like, you sit on the throne. Okay.
- 46:42Speaker 2: You're now the queen. Like you putting the leash on,
- 46:45Speaker 2: she's like game on. So it would be why, yeah, she,
- 46:49Speaker 2: she's the boss, but also like, it's she, it's her
- 46:53Speaker 2: duty and her role when that, when that, when I'm
- 46:55Speaker 2: hearing the leash click of, I need to like, I,
- 47:00Speaker 2: this is, I'm, I'm on duty now. That's the word
- 47:02Speaker 2: I'm on duty. So just having a conversation with her, however,
- 47:07Speaker 2: it resonates with you about her remaining off duty and
- 47:11Speaker 2: just enjoying the walk. I think you're, I think you're
- 47:15Speaker 2: going to notice a difference there.
- 47:17Speaker 1: Amazing. Thank you.
- 47:19Speaker 2: Other dogs. Like does she with, with her, if she's
- 47:22Speaker 2: okay with being on other dogs or do you not
- 47:23Speaker 2: need me to go there? Yeah.
- 47:25Speaker 1: I mean, I'm, I'm more interested if she's okay with
- 47:27Speaker 1: the two siblings she has.
- 47:29Speaker 2: Okay. The ones that she told to chill out at
- 47:33Speaker 2: the beginning. Yeah. All right. Let's talk about your, what
- 47:35Speaker 2: are your other dogs names?
- 47:38Speaker 1: Nala and Ziggy.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Nala and Ziggy. All right. So Mishka, let's talk about Nala.
- 47:46Speaker 2: She says that Nala, Mishka thinks she's a lot smarter
- 47:50Speaker 2: than Nala. And she says Nala's a little bit airheaded
- 47:52Speaker 2: in the sense of she'll be like, Nala will be like,
- 47:54Speaker 2: what was that? What was that? What was that? And
- 47:57Speaker 2: Mishka's like, really? You don't know what's happening? Okay, so
- 48:02Speaker 2: tell me more about Nala. She says Nala is no
- 48:06Speaker 2: threat to Mishka's comfort level and security in the home.
- 48:10Speaker 2: So she's okay with Nala. Yeah. Does Nala need anything
- 48:14Speaker 2: or anything that we need to know about Nala? She
- 48:17Speaker 2: says Nala needs a lot of attention, especially from you.
- 48:20Speaker 2: Like she is an attention hog for sure, but it's
- 48:23Speaker 2: what Nala needs to facilitate growth in her own journey.
- 48:28Speaker 2: And Mishka is okay with that. So she's not offended.
- 48:30Speaker 2: Is Nala like an all eyes on me type girl?
- 48:34Speaker 1: Yes, she is.
- 48:35Speaker 2: Okay. So Mishka is aware of that. She's okay with it.
- 48:38Speaker 2: And you said Ziggy was your other dog? Ziggy.
- 48:41Speaker 4: Yes.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Okay. So Mishka, let's talk about Ziggy. She does. So
- 48:45Speaker 2: she's fine with Ziggy. The first thing she says is, well,
- 48:48Speaker 2: I wouldn't like choose to hang out with him if
- 48:51Speaker 2: I didn't have to, but there's a, but to that.
- 48:54Speaker 2: So let's talk about that. She just says that Ziggy
- 48:57Speaker 2: gets in her way a lot and he barges through
- 48:59Speaker 2: and he has no, no, like no care for her
- 49:06Speaker 2: personal space, but he's not trying to be rude. He's
- 49:08Speaker 2: just like, cutting in front of her does that happen
- 49:11Speaker 2: a lot like to get in the way yeah okay
- 49:14Speaker 2: so how are your what are your thoughts on that
- 49:16Speaker 2: mishka she just she perceives herself as smarter than both
- 49:21Speaker 2: of them and like a lot more wise is she
- 49:23Speaker 2: a lot older than both of them she's a few.
- 49:26Speaker 1: Years older yes she's the oldest one in the house
- 49:28Speaker 1: and also the the smallest and the toughest which is yeah.
- 49:32Speaker 2: Yeah what do we need to know Mishka about your
- 49:36Speaker 2: relationship with Ziggy if anything she's really a mama's girl
- 49:40Speaker 2: and she's not, she's fine with the other dogs, but
- 49:42Speaker 2: she doesn't need them to feel like she doesn't need
- 49:47Speaker 2: them for companionship because she finds that in you. Does
- 49:50Speaker 2: that resonate with you with how her personality is?
- 49:52Speaker 1: Yes. And that's probably how I treat her. I take
- 49:55Speaker 1: her on trips with me and the other two will
- 49:58Speaker 1: stay in my home with a dog sitter and Um,
- 50:01Speaker 1: you know, she's, she's definitely, I mean, I love all my,
- 50:04Speaker 1: it's like talking about your kids. You can't say which
- 50:06Speaker 1: one you love more. I love all of them differently,
- 50:08Speaker 1: but she's one that I try and keep with me.
- 50:10Speaker 1: If I can, I fly with her. I, you know,
- 50:12Speaker 1: I keep her around. Um, and I think she just
- 50:15Speaker 1: knows that. And she is very independent. The other two
- 50:17Speaker 1: play with each other all the day. She wants no
- 50:19Speaker 1: part of it. And, you know, she'll run through them
- 50:22Speaker 1: and bark at them and tell them to get away
- 50:24Speaker 1: from her. So she's, you know, she is definitely in control.
- 50:28Speaker 1: You know, it's funny. I have a question for you
- 50:30Speaker 1: about this. There was a movie, I think, The Secret
- 50:32Speaker 1: Life of Pets, where when we leave, pets are talking
- 50:35Speaker 1: to each other. Do you believe that that is the case,
- 50:37Speaker 1: that they have their own level of communication and conversations
- 50:41Speaker 1: when we're not there?
- 50:42Speaker 2: Oh, I mean, they have it when we're there all
- 50:44Speaker 2: the time. Definitely when we leave and I see it with,
- 50:48Speaker 2: with my dog. So next time you're out walking the dogs, Rachel,
- 50:50Speaker 2: I want you to pay attention to when one of
- 50:52Speaker 2: them is, if they're ever like one's up ahead more
- 50:56Speaker 2: than the other two, like my two dogs, I see
- 50:57Speaker 2: this a lot. One will be up ahead and he'll
- 51:00Speaker 2: smell something really great. And he's like, oh man, the
- 51:03Speaker 2: other dog is like 20 feet behind us. We live
- 51:06Speaker 2: in the middle of nowhere. We're able to do this.
- 51:09Speaker 2: doing something else. The second Merlin will find a good
- 51:11Speaker 2: smell spot, Donald will come sprinting. And I feel like
- 51:15Speaker 2: it's because Merlin's like, Hey bro, look what I just got. Like,
- 51:18Speaker 2: come here. And you'll see them just like before, before
- 51:23Speaker 2: they even bark or do anything, you see the other
- 51:25Speaker 2: one respond. So yeah, they are talking all day long.
- 51:27Speaker 2: Just like we're talking to our friends and family when
- 51:30Speaker 2: we're in the house with them, they're doing the same thing. 100%.
- 51:32Speaker 2: I love that.
- 51:35Speaker 1: So in all your communications with animals, what would you
- 51:37Speaker 1: say is the most misunderstood thing about animals?
- 51:41Speaker 2: That they don't understand the intimate details and the intricate
- 51:45Speaker 2: details of our lives, that they're just pets. And even
- 51:49Speaker 2: people that love their animals, a lot of them, they
- 51:53Speaker 2: don't understand the depth at which their animals are comprehending
- 51:57Speaker 2: everything going on in their lives and what the humans
- 52:00Speaker 2: themselves are thinking and feeling. So the most misunderstood thing
- 52:03Speaker 2: aspect of animal human relationship is how much the animals
- 52:07Speaker 2: do truly know about what's going on in our lives.
- 52:11Speaker 1: Amazing. Um, when people book a session with you and
- 52:13Speaker 1: they get the 75 minutes with you, can they talk
- 52:15Speaker 1: to you about all the different pets they have? Is
- 52:18Speaker 1: it focused on one animal? How does that work with
- 52:20Speaker 1: your session?
- 52:21Speaker 2: It's one animal per session. Um, for my one-on-one client sessions,
- 52:25Speaker 2: because it's a very in-depth session. We cover their food,
- 52:28Speaker 2: their bedding, their walks, their exercise, their soul contracts with you,
- 52:31Speaker 2: their thoughts on all the animals in the house, the
- 52:33Speaker 2: humans in the house. And in my experience, it takes
- 52:36Speaker 2: no less than 75 minutes to get through everything. And
- 52:40Speaker 2: I don't ever want to go into a session and
- 52:42Speaker 2: just have an animal like only get 10 minutes, 20
- 52:45Speaker 2: minutes when there's so much more they want to talk about.
- 52:48Speaker 2: So it is one animal per session. So they really
- 52:50Speaker 2: can fully have their voice heard.
- 52:53Speaker 1: OK, so if people, you know, don't want to wait
- 52:55Speaker 1: for a year or more to have a session with you,
- 52:58Speaker 1: please remind us how we can join your school so
- 53:02Speaker 1: that we can probably teach ourselves sooner than we can
- 53:05Speaker 1: have a session.
- 53:06Speaker 2: You definitely can teach yourselves. It's Nikki Vascones dot com.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Click on the Academy tab and then you can read
- 53:12Speaker 2: all about the school and you can join right there
- 53:14Speaker 2: at the bottom. And every single week we have an event. Okay.
- 53:18Speaker 1: And they can start at any time. They don't have
- 53:19Speaker 1: to wait until a certain time.
- 53:21Speaker 2: Okay. You can start today. All right.
- 53:23Speaker 1: Well, I will make sure to join. I love this.
- 53:25Speaker 1: I think you're so interesting. Mishka is sitting right next
- 53:28Speaker 1: to me licking my foot. So I love that. Yeah.
- 53:32Speaker 1: So I really appreciate you. I think you're amazing and
- 53:35Speaker 1: I wish you the best. And I really hope that
- 53:36Speaker 1: people will listen to this. and take advantage of your class.
- 53:39Speaker 1: I think it sounds terrific. Whether or not you're a believer,
- 53:42Speaker 1: you can always, you know, use some sort of, you know,
- 53:45Speaker 1: knowledge to open your mind to be able to understand
- 53:48Speaker 1: these little animals that need you so much. So I
- 53:51Speaker 1: really appreciate you. Take care.
