Guyana’s young chess stars just returned from the Pan American Youth Chess Festival in Colombia, where nearly a thousand players from 30 countries battled for glory across age groups. Kyle Couchman, the National Junior Champ, shone brightest in U-18 Absolute, scoring five out of nine rounds and climbing rankings despite tough Colombian opponents.
