• 1:45
Speaker 4: Lots to get to this morning. Four traffic has been
• 1:48
Speaker 4: on everybody's mind. Has been a very slow go really
• 1:51
Speaker 4: once you get to Montrose on sixty four East coming
• 1:54
Speaker 4: in to Charleston. It's been that way for a couple
• 1:55
Speaker 4: of weeks. But you add on to that an accident
• 1:58
  Speaker 4: least I think I heard Chris a least a two
• 2:00
Speaker 4: car accident reported earlier this morning. So it's it's just
• 2:05
Speaker 4: been a mess getting into the capital city this morning.
• 2:08
Speaker 4: They say that that particular project, though, is supposed to
• 2:11
Speaker 4: wrap up I think in the next week or two.
• 2:14
Speaker 4: So hopefully it will, because I know I've missed all
• 2:18
Speaker 4: that this morning, thankfully, but I did get into Laid
• 2:20
Speaker 4: a little bit coming into town. And you know, if
• 2:23
Speaker 4: you see the sign, I'm not going to start preaching here,
• 2:26
Speaker 4: but if you see the sign that says please merge,
• 2:28
Speaker 4: and it's three miles down the road, you don't necessarily
• 2:31
Speaker 4: have to merge then, but at least start making plans
• 2:34
Speaker 4: for it. Make plans for it. Some of these problems
• 2:38
  Speaker 4: could be alleviated.
• 2:39
  Speaker 6: All right.
• 2:40
Speaker 4: Coming up a little bit later on the show, there
• 2:42
Speaker 4: was a company with ties to the Charleston area. This
• 2:44
Speaker 4: instituting a very unique recycling program. But it's not just
• 2:47
Speaker 4: about the recycling. It has to do with the recovery community.
• 2:50
Speaker 4: We're going to talk about that, plus later on the show,
• 2:54
Speaker 4: we're going to be joined by Knawa County Prosecuting Attorney
• 2:56
Speaker 4: Deb Rosnik. Yesterday in a Canawac County courtroom in front
• 2:59
Speaker 4: of Joe Mary Claire Akers, one of the two fourteen
• 3:03
Speaker 4: year olds charged in the shooting death of the tobacco
• 3:07
Speaker 4: store clerk back in January on the north side of Charleston.
• 3:10
Speaker 4: Young man, at fourteen, pled guilty and is now facing
• 3:13
Speaker 4: life in prison, obviously being tried as an adult, could
• 3:17
Speaker 4: get out after fifteen years with probation. We're talking. It's
• 3:20
Speaker 4: a tough, tough story all around. We're going to talk
• 3:22
Speaker 4: to Knaw County Prosecutor Deb Rusnick about that. Plus, of course,
• 3:25
Speaker 4: you know, tonight is the first and probably only presidential
• 3:28
Speaker 4: debate between former President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.
• 3:32
Speaker 4: That coming from Philadelphia. Programming Note will have coverage of
• 3:35
Speaker 4: the debate tonight via the ABC Radio network from Philly
• 3:38
Speaker 4: starting at eight pm. We'll get into all that puts
• 3:40
Speaker 4: your calls and Texter, welcome to I want to talk
• 3:42
Speaker 4: about some ribs though. Aaron Wood from Quantum Sports, Quantum
• 3:45
Speaker 4: Party Rentals, the Quantum Family, lead sponsors and promoters of
• 3:49
Speaker 4: rib Fest, which runs Thursday through Sunday and had at
• 3:51
Speaker 4: Riverfront Park, joins us. Aaron, good morning, welcome to the show,
• 3:54
Speaker 4: Thank you, good morning to you. Do I smell the
• 3:56
Speaker 4: barbecue sauce yet? Or is that just in my mind?
• 3:58
Speaker 4: Is it just psychosomatic.
• 4:00
Speaker 7: No, it's probably coming off of me because we had
• 4:01
Speaker 7: Ripcston Huntington last week and I am smoked.
• 4:06
Speaker 4: So this is this the first year that you've done
• 4:08
Speaker 4: rib Fest like two weekends in a row like that,
• 4:10
Speaker 4: like you had in Huntingson last week and you're in
• 4:12
Speaker 4: Charleston this weekend? Yes, first year? Is that harder? Is
• 4:15
Speaker 4: it easier? It's it's pretty hard.
• 4:18
Speaker 7: You know, two weeks in a road to a four
• 4:20
Speaker 7: day event is a little mind boggling.
• 4:22
Speaker 4: How did Huntington go?
• 4:24
Speaker 7: Huntington was good. We had about eight thousand people show up.
• 4:26
Speaker 7: I had beautiful weather. Could not believe how good the
• 4:29
Speaker 7: weather was. Great setup, you know, everybody in Huntington was
• 4:32
  Speaker 7: very What.
• 4:32
Speaker 4: Did you have it in Huntingson again? Hairs hair Forriver
• 4:35
Speaker 4: from Vice? That's what I thought. And now you're going
• 4:37
Speaker 4: to be in Charleston Thursday through Sunday. Had had at Riverfront Park.
• 4:40
Speaker 4: Of course, most of our stations are going to be
• 4:42
Speaker 4: there at some point. I know I'm supposed to be
• 4:44
Speaker 4: down I think Saturday hanging out with animal in nine
• 4:46
Speaker 4: eight seven a mountain, But we're all going to be there.
• 4:48
Speaker 4: Steve Bishop from being one hundred and rob real we're
• 4:50
Speaker 4: all going to be making an appearance at some point
• 4:53
Speaker 4: and rib vendors are we're talking about some national folks
• 4:56
Speaker 4: coming in here for this.
• 4:57
Speaker 7: Yeah, we're talking about some award winning lipsmacking ribs. These
• 5:01
Speaker 7: guys are from all over the country. We've got Texas,
• 5:03
Speaker 7: North Carolina, Canada, Ohio, Pennsylvania. These guys are coming all
• 5:08
Speaker 7: over the United States to bring their ribs to Charleston,
• 5:10
  Speaker 7: West Virginia.
• 5:11
Speaker 4: And I do want to mention this because I heard
• 5:14
Speaker 4: the interview that you did with Steve on the Mountain
• 5:16
Speaker 4: earlier this morning, and we do want to make sure
• 5:17
Speaker 4: we'll get into all the hours and pricing and everything momentarily.
• 5:20
Speaker 4: But I do want to make sure people realize that
• 5:22
Speaker 4: you are going to be open for lunch on Thursday
• 5:24
Speaker 4: and Friday, so people will you know, if you just
• 5:26
Speaker 4: want a little break from the normal thing that you
• 5:29
Speaker 4: have in charleson which we got great restaurants in Charleston,
• 5:31
Speaker 4: they'll get me wrong, but maybe if you want a
• 5:32
Speaker 4: little bit of break from maybe some of the fast
• 5:34
Speaker 4: food places or whatever, you can come on come down
• 5:37
Speaker 4: there and grab yourself from lunch and head back to
• 5:39
  Speaker 4: the office.
• 5:39
Speaker 7: Absolutely, we'll open at eleven o'clock for lunch. Yeah, So
• 5:42
Speaker 7: how does the pricing work. Well, you know, when you
• 5:45
Speaker 7: get to each vendor, they have their own pricing. There's
• 5:48
Speaker 7: no cost to enter. Okay, you can choose to get
• 5:50
Speaker 7: an eleven dollars taster, you know, from each vender, or
• 5:54
Speaker 7: you can choose to get a full rack of ribs
• 5:57
Speaker 7: with two sides from each vender, you know, and those
• 5:59
Speaker 7: range which thirty five and forty dollars for a full rack.
• 6:03
Speaker 4: And there's a lot more Aaron than just ribs because
• 6:05
Speaker 4: we've got a lot of other activities, great music and whatnot.
• 6:08
Speaker 4: Give us some of the other stuff that's going on.
• 6:10
Speaker 7: We've got plenty of different types of food. The rivers
• 6:12
Speaker 7: also have chickens, sausage, brisket. You know, it's just not
• 6:16
Speaker 7: ribs Entertainment. Thursday night it's going to be Country Night
• 6:19
Speaker 7: with Josh Pantry opening and Chase Mitchell as the headliner.
• 6:23
Speaker 7: Thursday Friday will be opening the Esquires along with the
• 6:28
Speaker 7: Motown Seven bringing some soul music to Charleston on Friday night.
• 6:31
Speaker 7: And then Saturday we're going to rock it out. We're
• 6:34
Speaker 7: gonna open with Bent Whiskey and then of course everybody
• 6:37
  Speaker 7: loves Hair Supply.
• 6:39
Speaker 4: Yes, the official party band of our sister station nine
• 6:42
Speaker 4: eight seven of the Mountain Wild wonderful classic rock. And
• 6:44
Speaker 4: I happen to know those guys very well. Delan Vidovich
• 6:47
Speaker 4: and Phil and those guys well, I just gave their
• 6:49
Speaker 4: real names. They kind of undergo a chain when they
• 6:54
Speaker 4: go on stage. They all have they all have alter egos.
• 6:56
Speaker 4: But if you like the good time party music of
• 6:59
Speaker 4: the nineteen eighty I mean I'm talking def Leppard, I'm
• 7:01
Speaker 4: talking you know, Motley Crue and stuff like that, these
• 7:04
Speaker 4: guys go full on and it's a full visual assault
• 7:07
Speaker 4: as well. With Hair Supply. Oh absolutely, I love watching
• 7:09
Speaker 4: those guys. I mean they're fantastic, they really, they got
• 7:12
Speaker 4: that niche and they just took off with it and
• 7:14
  Speaker 4: they're they're they're doing some great things again. They're going
• 7:17
Speaker 4: to be there and all this other great music. And Aaron,
• 7:20
Speaker 4: I know the sponsors are such a huge part of this.
• 7:22
Speaker 4: I know our company WVRC Media, Charleson's a big part
• 7:25
Speaker 4: of it. But don't give you an opportunity if you
• 7:26
Speaker 4: want to throw out some of your sponsors. Well, because
• 7:28
Speaker 4: without the sponsors, it doesn't happen.
• 7:30
Speaker 7: Right right. You know, Gomart has been a big sponsor
• 7:33
Speaker 7: of us, Greylock Energy. Our presenting sponsors are my own company,
• 7:38
Speaker 7: Quantum Party Rentals, Quantum Sports. W SEZ Channel three has
• 7:43
Speaker 7: been a huge partner this year. You know, they're running
• 7:45
Speaker 7: tons of commercials for us. So we're excited to have
• 7:48
Speaker 7: the support of the city of Charleston. It's it's just
• 7:52
Speaker 7: been great. Also, Kennall County came on board and helped
• 7:55
Speaker 7: us out with some funds this year to help market
• 7:57
Speaker 7: and make the facility the festival well even better.
• 8:01
Speaker 4: And it's always I mean this has gone on, you know,
• 8:03
Speaker 4: several different incarnations of this over the years. I know
• 8:06
Speaker 4: it was a Shawnee for a while, and now it's
• 8:07
Speaker 4: at Hadad Riverfront Park. It's a great, great setting have
• 8:11
Speaker 4: it and Hadad Riverfront Park. What went into that decision
• 8:13
Speaker 4: to have it there.
• 8:14
Speaker 7: Well, it's really the only place in Charleston that you
• 8:17
Speaker 7: can have a great festival. Yeah, you know, the setting
• 8:19
Speaker 7: on the river, the stage, you know, it's just it's beautiful.
• 8:23
Speaker 7: And you know, I grew up here in Charleston and
• 8:25
Speaker 7: I'm a Charleston boy, and you know, I want to
• 8:28
Speaker 7: do something special for the residents of Charleston and the
• 8:31
Speaker 7: families of Charleston, and you know this is this is it.
• 8:34
Speaker 4: It's got to be there talking again with Aaron. What
• 8:37
Speaker 4: about Riverfest which runs Thursday through Sunday at Hadad Riverfront
• 8:41
Speaker 4: Park in Charleston. Dave Island Show in five Ady Live
• 8:43
Speaker 4: brought to you park by Jute Well the best in
• 8:45
Speaker 4: security systems for both your home or business. Talk to
• 8:47
Speaker 4: Jute j Oot of tays Valley visit protected by jute
• 8:51
Speaker 4: dot Com. Let's go over all the details again. We
• 8:53
Speaker 4: kick it off Thursday, and again folks are working in
• 8:55
Speaker 4: the office buildings or wherever you are in Charleston, you
• 8:57
Speaker 4: want a little break and do something a little bit different,
• 9:00
Speaker 4: walk on over. It's could be. I mean, the weather
• 9:01
Speaker 4: looks beautiful. I mean, for what I've been able to see,
• 9:04
Speaker 4: there's a slight chance of rain here or there. But
• 9:05
Speaker 4: overall we're just Tuesday. Now. Things can change, but overall
• 9:09
Speaker 4: it looks good. But on Thursday, if folks want to
• 9:10
Speaker 4: walk over and get him some lunch, take it back
• 9:12
Speaker 4: to the office, or as Steve said this morning, just
• 9:15
Speaker 4: couldn't take the rest of the day off exactly. Aaron said,
• 9:17
  Speaker 4: it would be.
• 9:18
Speaker 7: Okay, exactly, come on over and don't forget you know,
• 9:20
Speaker 7: you try their sauce, you try the ribs, Come on
• 9:22
Speaker 7: over to the beer tent. We're gonna do a people's
• 9:24
Speaker 7: choice award for the rivers, so you get to vote
• 9:27
Speaker 7: on who has the best sauce and who has the
• 9:29
Speaker 7: best ribs, and those guys will win a big trophy
• 9:31
Speaker 7: at the end of the contest.
• 9:32
Speaker 4: And again a lot of things went on for the kids.
• 9:34
Speaker 4: As you said there, I know with Quantum there, you
• 9:36
Speaker 4: guys are gonna be all set up.
• 9:37
Speaker 7: Doing stuff rank well. Actually, we're gonna have a carnival
• 9:40
Speaker 7: this year, okay, So we got a full carnival for
• 9:42
Speaker 7: the kids, gonna have nine to ten rides down the
• 9:44
Speaker 7: boulevard between Court Street and Clinton, and Sunday is actually
• 9:47
Speaker 7: gonna be family Day. We're gonna have a hula hoop contest.
• 9:50
Speaker 7: We're gonna have a Taylor Swift contest, lookalike contest, We're
• 9:54
Speaker 7: gonna have a Lipsyn contest, and we're gonna have Disney
• 9:57
Speaker 7: characters there, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, is light Year,
• 10:00
Speaker 7: Mickey Mouse, Mini Mouse. So it's really going to be
• 10:03
Speaker 7: family friendly on Sunday and.
• 10:04
Speaker 4: Again, as they say the old adage, the cliche is
• 10:07
Speaker 4: something for the entire family. And it runs Thursday through Sunday.
• 10:10
Speaker 4: And my experience with Ribfest is is you did a
• 10:13
Speaker 4: lot of repeat customers, meaning they check it out on
• 10:15
Speaker 4: Thursday and then they come back again on Friday, or
• 10:18
Speaker 4: they come back on Sunday or Sunday because they want
• 10:20
Speaker 4: to try all the different ribs. And if you're not
• 10:22
Speaker 4: a ribs person, well you're on American. But if you're
• 10:24
Speaker 4: not a ribs person, there are other things there, Aaron,
• 10:26
Speaker 4: as you said, brisket, sausage, even the sides. A lot
• 10:30
Speaker 4: of people just go for the sides and there's a
• 10:31
Speaker 4: lot of great side dishes here.
• 10:33
Speaker 7: Oh yeah, it's great.
• 10:34
Speaker 4: We's the best place to learn more about it. You
• 10:35
Speaker 4: guys got a pretty good Facebook page. That's the best
• 10:37
Speaker 4: place to get all the details.
• 10:38
Speaker 7: You can get it on our Facebook page at Charleston Murdfests,
• 10:41
Speaker 7: or you can go to our website at Wvribfest dot com.
• 10:44
Speaker 4: And again, things will open up on Thursday, runs all
• 10:47
Speaker 4: the way through the weekend. All of our at least
• 10:49
Speaker 4: most of our stations are going to be down there
• 10:51
Speaker 4: at some point when I'll be making appearances down there.
• 10:53
Speaker 4: Are best of luck with everything you know you did
• 10:55
Speaker 4: Huntington last week. You're definitely an iron man to be
• 10:58
Speaker 4: able to do these things too. Two weeks in a
• 11:00
Speaker 4: row in two different cities, looking forward to being down
• 11:03
Speaker 4: there with you man. Thanks a lot for being here,
• 11:04
Speaker 4: all right, Thank you, Aaron? What from quanam again? Rib

• 11:22
Speaker 4: bit later on in the show, Kanah County Prosecutor Deb
• 11:24
Speaker 4: Rusnick is going to join us and talk about that
• 11:27
Speaker 4: verdict yesterday or that plea I guess would be the
• 11:30
Speaker 4: correct legal term in Kanaw Circuit Court in front of
• 11:33
Speaker 4: Judge Acres yesterday with a fourteen year old one of
• 11:35
Speaker 4: two fourteen year olds charged in the murder of a
• 11:38
Speaker 4: nineteen year old tobacco clerk in North Charleston. We talked
• 11:41
Speaker 4: to Deb Rusnick about that and when we come back
• 11:44
Speaker 4: another event that's going on Saturday. This one a little
• 11:46
Speaker 4: bit different and it has to do with the recovery
• 11:49
Speaker 4: community in Charleston. We will get into that plus your

• 14:27
  Speaker 4: a sampler. Okay, it's going to be a sample. It's

Speaker 4: North Charleston tobacco store worker fourteen years old pled guilty

Speaker 4: yesterday and he's being tried as an adult, which is

Speaker 4: why we're talking about it, and he is facing now
• 14:57
Speaker 4: life in prison. And we're going to talk to you
• 15:00
Speaker 4: Gnawan County Prosecuting Attorney Deb Rusnik about that. Plus tonight

Speaker 4: probably the only time that you're gonna see former President

Speaker 4: same stage in Philadelphia. We'll give you a little preview
• 15:13
Speaker 4: of that as well. I want to talk about a
• 15:15
Speaker 4: unique event that's happening this Saturday in Charleston sponsored by
• 15:18
Speaker 4: Charleston Area Metal Recycling, and it's being dubbed the Charleston
• 15:21
Speaker 4: Area Metal Recycling Block Party, with proceeds benefiting the Recycle
• 15:26
Speaker 4: for Recovery program. Beck Beck Is beck Berg is with
• 15:31
Speaker 4: the group and she joins us in the Parmar Store
• 15:33
Speaker 4: studio this morning. Good morning, good morning, and we also
• 15:36
Speaker 4: have another guest with us. I'll let you introduce yourself.
• 15:40
  Speaker 3: Good morning.
• 15:40
  Speaker 1: I'm Chasity.
• 15:41
Speaker 4: Okay, all right, so we got Beck. We're gonna primarily
• 15:45
Speaker 4: talk to you here. Tell me about Charleston Area Metal Recycling.
• 15:50
Speaker 3: Well, it's newly this year, but we want to make
• 15:53
Speaker 3: it an annual event.
• 15:55
Speaker 4: So I mean, let's talk about the company a little bit.
• 15:57
  Speaker 4: Talk about this.
• 16:00
Speaker 3: Have taken over what was once Freedom Recycling, so it's
• 16:03
Speaker 3: now as Charleston Area Metal and they've changed the whole outlook.
• 16:07
  Speaker 3: I mean even I mean I've worked with a lot
• 16:10
Speaker 3: of jobs in my young age of forty six, a lot.
• 16:14
Speaker 4: Of you're still younger than I am, so go ahead.
• 16:16
Speaker 3: And I mean it's not just not just a company,
• 16:19
Speaker 3: you know, it's like family oriented people, and I mean
• 16:23
  Speaker 3: they're down and.
• 16:26
Speaker 4: In talking to mister Bledsoe of the company, as I was,
• 16:29
Speaker 4: I talked to you on the phone last week when
• 16:31
Speaker 4: we were setting this whole thing up. It's a company
• 16:33
Speaker 4: that sounds like that they are interested in not just
• 16:35
Speaker 4: making money but also giving back to the community. Absolutely,
• 16:38
Speaker 4: and that's where you come in. Now we've got this
• 16:40
Speaker 4: event that's going to be happening. I'll let you get
• 16:43
Speaker 4: into all the details and how it all came about.
• 16:45
Speaker 4: So give us the time and place of what exactly
• 16:46
Speaker 4: is going to go on there.
• 16:47
Speaker 3: Okay, The block party starts from on this Saturday noon
• 16:52
Speaker 3: to five. We're going to have vendors.
• 16:55
Speaker 4: Where is this specifically located?
• 16:57
Speaker 3: Where is our address?
• 16:59
Speaker 4: That's crazy, I don't have the address like in front
• 17:03
Speaker 4: of me right now. Forty eighth Street, Okay, city, not
• 17:06
Speaker 4: hard to find, not hard to find, Okay, go ahead, right.
• 17:09
Speaker 3: Well, it's basically for recovery. You know, we have like
• 17:12
Speaker 3: broken chains coming. The proceeds are going to go to
• 17:17
Speaker 3: recovery points, mainly the one in Charleston because like a
• 17:21
Speaker 3: lot of people that work there have battled addictions and
• 17:24
Speaker 3: come through and I'm one of them. It affects nine
• 17:28
Speaker 3: out of ten families, you know, And this is a
• 17:30
Speaker 3: way for us to say and to give back to
• 17:32
Speaker 3: the community. Charleston's not a dead city, but you go
• 17:36
Speaker 3: out and you see the homeless, and addiction is part
• 17:39
Speaker 3: of that. And we want to help take the stigma
• 17:42
Speaker 3: off that and remind people that they are loved because
• 17:44
Speaker 3: that's the only thing that's going to beat these sadistic situations.
• 17:48
Speaker 3: So that's what we're trying to do.
• 17:50
Speaker 4: The actual dress is six ten forty eighth Street. I
• 17:52
Speaker 4: appreciate Coop forgetting that for me, sixteen forty eighth Street
• 17:55
Speaker 4: in Kanal City. So talk about you, talk about you.
• 17:59
Speaker 4: You are somebody that knows a little something about this.
• 18:01
  Speaker 4: Is that right?
• 18:02
Speaker 3: Absolutely? Twenty six years I was in heroin addiction.
• 18:05
Speaker 4: Okay, and I don't want to get too personal. You
• 18:08
Speaker 4: can only talk about what you feel comfortable in talking about, Beck,
• 18:11
Speaker 4: but let's talk about how you got out of this.
• 18:15
Speaker 3: It's all about connection, and that's why this is important
• 18:19
Speaker 3: to charlestonnar or Metal because we're a community. We not
• 18:23
Speaker 3: one person can do this together. I struggled for many,
• 18:25
Speaker 3: many years because I didn't have a network or connection
• 18:28
Speaker 3: in the community, and that's a big part. The stigma
• 18:31
Speaker 3: around addiction is still very real. You know, people they
• 18:35
Speaker 3: don't reach out for help because there's that stigma. And
• 18:39
Speaker 3: if we can break that cycle then and people realize
• 18:43
Speaker 3: that there is a better.
• 18:43
Speaker 11: Way and way out.
• 18:45
Speaker 3: That's what helped me, the connection and the support of
• 18:48
Speaker 3: the community, and we're hoping that it catches fire and
• 18:51
Speaker 3: a lot of local businesses jump on board.
• 18:55
Speaker 4: Do you want to and again, I'm going to leave
• 18:57
Speaker 4: this totally up to you. This is the miracle of
• 18:59
Speaker 4: why radio here. Do you want to tell your story
• 19:02
Speaker 4: about about how you got how how you went down
• 19:05
Speaker 4: that path, and then how you got out of You
• 19:07
Speaker 4: talked about the connections afterwards, But are you comfortable in
• 19:10
Speaker 4: talking to the audience or talking to others about your
• 19:12
Speaker 4: particular story. If you're not, that's fine.
• 19:15
Speaker 3: Oh, I mean, I'll give you some power points because
• 19:17
Speaker 3: we don't all that time.
• 19:19
Speaker 4: Yeah, well only got about ten minutes. We go ahead.
• 19:22
Speaker 3: Uh, well, my audition, I was I was a very
• 19:24
Speaker 3: sporty person back in school. And uh I played a
• 19:29
Speaker 3: lot of sports and I was very athletic. It was
• 19:35
Speaker 3: very good. But I tour my knee and that was
• 19:38
Speaker 3: the first prescription drugs. You know, that was when I
• 19:41
Speaker 3: was younger. I got a little taste of it, but
• 19:43
Speaker 3: you know, I didn't But when I got older and
• 19:45
Speaker 3: I started working labor jobs. And that's another thing West Virginia.
• 19:49
Speaker 3: I love West Virginia people. By the way, we're the best. Wait,
• 19:53
Speaker 3: we're a blue collar states, right, you know. And I'm
• 19:56
Speaker 3: not going to mention any names big Pharma.
• 20:00
Speaker 2: And that, you know.
• 20:01
Speaker 3: And we're hard working people. And when I tore my
• 20:04
Speaker 3: back out on a bridge job in Hardy County that
• 20:09
Speaker 3: was two thousand and five, I had particular doctors that
• 20:12
Speaker 3: would just keep writing me pills.
• 20:14
  Speaker 2: You know.
• 20:14
Speaker 3: And then when that went away, I mean, we had
• 20:16
Speaker 3: a whole epidemic of.
• 20:17
Speaker 4: Sure, oh yeah, trust me. I'm from southern West Virginia.
• 20:21
  Speaker 7: I know all.
• 20:21
Speaker 4: I was right in the middle of all of that,
• 20:24
Speaker 4: and so many people got on these these opioids because
• 20:29
Speaker 4: we have a tendency to trust the guy with a
• 20:31
Speaker 4: white coat, you know, and you go into the big
• 20:33
Speaker 4: medical facility, well obviously they know what they're doing. And
• 20:36
Speaker 4: I'm not trying to put all the blame on the
• 20:37
Speaker 4: doctors either, but I'm saying that there was a time back,
• 20:41
Speaker 4: and you know, because you were part of it, there
• 20:43
Speaker 4: was a time when for the slightest little thing you had,
• 20:46
Speaker 4: you were given a script. I mean you were giving
• 20:49
  Speaker 4: I got a toothache. Here's a prescription, you got this,
• 20:51
Speaker 4: here's a prescription. And then when that was taken away,
• 20:55
Speaker 4: which you know, the pill mills started getting shut down,
• 20:58
Speaker 4: and which was a good thing. Well, the addictions still there.
• 21:01
Speaker 4: The addiction is still there, and you can pick it
• 21:02
  Speaker 4: up from there.
• 21:03
Speaker 3: And you know, I'm not blaming the doctors, but you know,
• 21:07
Speaker 3: in the nineteen sixties we knew morphine was addictive. But
• 21:10
Speaker 3: for you to get on there and say, oh, the
• 21:12
Speaker 3: pharmaceuticals didn't tell me oxy code. You knew morphine was
• 21:15
Speaker 3: addictive in nineteen sixty, but you don't know that oxy
• 21:18
  Speaker 3: cotton is addictive.
• 21:19
  Speaker 4: Okay, whatever.
• 21:21
Speaker 3: And I think it's particular funny that West Virginia is
• 21:25
Speaker 3: Huntington's an overdose state. We are like the capital. But
• 21:28
Speaker 3: if you look at us over a geographical map and
• 21:31
Speaker 3: all the mountains, why are we reducing more than in
• 21:35
Speaker 3: the ports? It kind of looks planned. They kind of
• 21:38
Speaker 3: you know, I think we're up We're up against more
• 21:41
Speaker 3: than the addiction itself. And I hope people realize that
• 21:45
Speaker 3: that it's an everybody problem.
• 21:47
Speaker 4: There's not a person listening to this show right now
• 21:52
Speaker 4: who their life in one way or the other has
• 21:55
Speaker 4: not been touched by a drug addiction of some sort.
• 21:58
Speaker 4: I've told my own personal story. I have a sister
• 22:01
Speaker 4: that no one has seen in years. We don't know.
• 22:04
  Speaker 4: I don't know whether she's alive, whether she's dead. We
• 22:06
Speaker 4: couldn't find her too. It's my sister, you know. We
• 22:09
Speaker 4: couldn't find her to tell her that our mother passed
• 22:11
Speaker 4: away because she one reason or another. She's around your age,
• 22:16
Speaker 4: a little bit younger. She started doing talking about college educated,
• 22:21
Speaker 4: smarter than I ever thought about being, which is not
• 22:23
Speaker 4: that big of a stretch.
• 22:25
  Speaker 3: Uh.
• 22:25
Speaker 4: And and she, you know, got got involved in that lifestyle.
• 22:29
Speaker 4: And to this day, I have no idea where she is,
• 22:33
Speaker 4: and no one in the family is, and and that's sad,
• 22:36
Speaker 4: and it really really is. And that's why I think
• 22:38
Speaker 4: breaking down a lot of these stigmas back is a
• 22:43
Speaker 4: is a major part of this. And hats off to
• 22:45
Speaker 4: your company for wanting wanting to do this sort of thing.
• 22:48
Speaker 4: What all is going to actually go on over there
• 22:50
Speaker 4: at your event Saturday? We're going at a block party.
• 22:53
Speaker 3: Yeah, well, we're going to have music and great food.
• 22:59
Speaker 3: One of their local recovery points, I think the girl
• 23:02
Speaker 3: recovery points from Charleston will be there and Broken Chains
• 23:07
Speaker 3: and a few others. We have a celebrate recovery coming
• 23:11
Speaker 3: in so and it's not just for the recovery community
• 23:15
Speaker 3: like it's it's for everybody. Of course, we want you
• 23:17
Speaker 3: to recycle and be good to the environment and make
• 23:20
Speaker 3: your money. But this is particularly you know, to unite
• 23:25
Speaker 3: everybody on a common goal and just put that realization
• 23:29
Speaker 3: out there and that people aren't alone and there's a
• 23:31
Speaker 3: better way. It doesn't have to be a lifestyle. It
• 23:34
Speaker 3: could be you know, like John Lennon said, there's no problems,
• 23:38
  Speaker 3: there's any solutions.
• 23:40
Speaker 4: Very good, very good point. And uh And I think
• 23:42
Speaker 4: sometimes when people and I've talked to people that have
• 23:45
Speaker 4: gone through this type of things and they'll say, well,
• 23:48
Speaker 4: I don't think anybody really understands what I'm going through.
• 23:53
Speaker 4: When they talk to Beck, they're going to understand because
• 23:57
Speaker 4: you've been there, talk about that absolutely.
• 24:01
Speaker 3: That's like, you know, pain is a common denominator for everybody.
• 24:05
Speaker 3: And I think once we you know, we're supposed to
• 24:07
Speaker 3: cary each other's burdens as they are our own. But
• 24:10
Speaker 3: I think if you know, if we just realize that,
• 24:13
Speaker 3: then everybody thinks they're pain is unique and it's really not.
• 24:19
Speaker 3: It's actually the common denominator, you know, it's what unites us.
• 24:24
Speaker 3: So you know, I got to bipolar the polar axis
• 24:26
Speaker 3: of it all. Like the darkness needs the light and
• 24:29
Speaker 3: the light needs the darkness. That's it. Like I, everybody
• 24:33
Speaker 3: wants somebody to understand them. But that's why we want
• 24:36
Speaker 3: to get the stigma like torn away from recovery because
• 24:39
Speaker 3: when people feel alone and that they're not understood and
• 24:42
Speaker 3: it's not possible, nobody's like me, that keeps them in
• 24:45
Speaker 3: the dark, and then there's no network. And that's how
• 24:47
Speaker 3: I was for twenty six years and.
• 24:49
Speaker 4: You've been it's twenty six years or how long have
• 24:52
Speaker 4: you been sober? Now, how long you've been cleaning?
• 24:53
Speaker 3: Oh, I've been sober since twenty twenty twenty.
• 24:57
Speaker 4: Okay, well, congratulations on that. That's that's remarkable because it's
• 25:00
Speaker 4: not an easy it's not an easy road to go home,
• 25:02
Speaker 4: and a lot of people don't don't succeed straight out
• 25:05
Speaker 4: the box. And it sounds it sounds like thankfully that
• 25:08
Speaker 4: you did before we let you go. You use the
• 25:12
Speaker 4: term at the top of the interview, and it's some
• 25:13
Speaker 4: of the notes that that you that you sent me
• 25:15
Speaker 4: about about dead city, about Charleston. Some people have described
• 25:20
Speaker 4: Charleston as dead city when it comes to this. You
• 25:22
Speaker 4: say though that you you don't believe that I don't.
• 25:27
Speaker 3: And it's things like this that's happening, you know, just
• 25:30
Speaker 3: with just with our company. It's little things like that,
• 25:33
Speaker 3: that spark of fire, you know, like love and happiness
• 25:38
Speaker 3: and connection is contagious. And and I've heard it said that,
• 25:44
Speaker 3: you know, but I go, like me and my wife,
• 25:46
Speaker 3: we would go, we will make lunches and sandwiches and
• 25:50
Speaker 3: we will put on a little zippy bags that you
• 25:52
  Speaker 3: are loved.
• 25:53
Speaker 4: Of course that was right.
• 25:54
Speaker 3: Yeah, but I think that is the most important thing
• 25:58
Speaker 3: because if people don't feel loved or needed or wanted
• 26:00
Speaker 3: a part of something, I even forgot what I was saying.
• 26:05
Speaker 4: You're fine, we get the idea of what you're saying.
• 26:07
Speaker 4: So the event is going to be at at your
• 26:11
Speaker 4: business six ten forty eighth Street in Kada City this Saturday.
• 26:14
Speaker 4: What's the time again?
• 26:14
Speaker 3: On that it is news, there's a new noon.
• 26:16
Speaker 4: It's gonna be like an all day kind of party
• 26:18
Speaker 4: to get great music and food and just kind of
• 26:21
Speaker 4: hanging out and learning more about this.
• 26:23
Speaker 3: We're gonna rock that block with love, peace and happiness.
• 26:27
Speaker 4: That's rocking that block would love peace and tell you what,
• 26:29
Speaker 4: get with my man, Steve, get some T shirts made? Okay,
• 26:32
Speaker 4: then you could probably sell those T shirts and help
• 26:34
Speaker 4: it out. And again, hats off foot to your company
• 26:37
  Speaker 4: for doing this. I think it's a he's a wonderful
• 26:39
Speaker 4: thing you're doing and I appreciate you taking time at
• 26:41
Speaker 4: your schedule and more importantly back, I appreciate you being
• 26:44
Speaker 4: willing to come forward with the honesty to talk about
• 26:46
Speaker 4: this because again, so many people in situations like these think, well,
• 26:50
Speaker 4: there's no one like me. By God, you look at you,
• 26:53
Speaker 4: you are you are one of them. You are you
• 26:56
Speaker 4: are like them, And nobody can tell the story quite
• 26:59
Speaker 4: like a person that's been there. So I appreciate your
• 27:02
Speaker 4: honestly appreciate both of you folks for being here today.
• 27:04
Speaker 4: Best of luck with your event. Let's know how it goes. Okay,
• 27:06

  Speaker 4: the show.
• 32:22
Speaker 14: Good morning, Dave to be here, Thanks for having me.
• 32:26
Speaker 4: A little recap here. This goes back to January thirtieth
• 32:30
Speaker 4: when John Williams Hampton, aged fourteen, of Charleston and another
• 32:34
Speaker 4: team fourteen year old Brock Williams, We're accused of murdering
• 32:37
Speaker 4: the tobacco shop employee that happened in North Charleston. The employee,
• 32:41
Speaker 4: sadly enough, was also a teenager. Williams Hampton pleading guilty yesterday,
• 32:46
Speaker 4: obviously being charged as an adult fourteen years old, now
• 32:50
Speaker 4: facing life in prison with there is a possibility of parole.
• 32:55
Speaker 4: Prosecutor Usnick, I know it's the and this is my
• 32:58
Speaker 4: editorial comment, not your I know it's the right verdict,
• 33:03
Speaker 4: but this is just a sad, sad story all around.
• 33:06
Speaker 6: It is you are dealing with a situation where children
• 33:11
Speaker 6: are involved, and you have children making adult decisions and
• 33:16
Speaker 6: decisions that not only impact their lives in the lives
• 33:19
Speaker 6: of their family members, but in this instance, change the
• 33:23
Speaker 6: lives of Caden Martin's family and ended Caden Martin's life.
• 33:28
Speaker 6: And it is beyond tragic what happened in this situation.
• 33:34
Speaker 6: And you know, at the end of the day, when
• 33:38
Speaker 6: we are dealing with a case like this, we have
• 33:40
Speaker 6: to be able to step back and separate ourselves from
• 33:44
Speaker 6: the reality of this situation, from the reality of the
• 33:48
Speaker 6: fact that we are looking at a child, a juvenile offender,
• 33:53
Speaker 6: and look at the crime, look at the facts of
• 33:57
Speaker 6: what took place, and make a determination as to how
• 34:00
Speaker 6: we proceed from there.
• 34:02
Speaker 14: It's not always an easy, easy judgment.
• 34:04
Speaker 4: I was going to say, as a prosecutor, you want
• 34:06
Speaker 4: to do any prosecutor wants to do the right thing.
• 34:09
Speaker 4: You know you're prosecuting on behalf of the people. But still,
• 34:13
Speaker 4: you know there is a step back from because I
• 34:17
Speaker 4: know you have known you a long time. I know
• 34:18
Speaker 4: you're a decent human being, as I'm sure most of
• 34:20
Speaker 4: our prosecutors are. But there's a part of you I
• 34:23
Speaker 4: would think that would step back and think, wow, this
• 34:27
Speaker 4: story just sucks all around. I mean, it really does.
• 34:30
Speaker 4: And obviously for the family of the nineteen year old
• 34:33
Speaker 4: whose life was in who was just just doing his job,
• 34:36
Speaker 4: you know, just trying to just if I believe the
• 34:39
Speaker 4: time time frame correct that I think it was maybe
• 34:41
Speaker 4: toward the end of the shift or whatever. Getting that way,
• 34:46
Speaker 4: and you think about the other the two fourteen year olds,
• 34:51
Speaker 4: and by the way, editors note, we can only really
• 34:53
Speaker 4: talk about one of them with Debra Rousnik. I can
• 34:55
Speaker 4: say what I want, but the prosecutor resident can't. Well
• 34:57
Speaker 4: I'll explain that a little bit later on. But for
• 35:01
Speaker 4: that young man and that young man's family, I'm talking
• 35:04
Speaker 4: about the fourteen year old that pled guilty yesterday. For
• 35:06
Speaker 4: his family that's still there's still a family. So there
• 35:10
Speaker 4: is still a family, friends and so on and so forth.
• 35:12
Speaker 4: And they're also going to have to live with this
• 35:14
Speaker 4: decision that a fourteen year old made. And even if
• 35:18
Speaker 4: he is eligible for parole or whatever he gets out,
• 35:22
Speaker 4: I mean, his life, his life is I don't want
• 35:25
Speaker 4: to go as far deb as to say his life
• 35:27
  Speaker 4: is over.
• 35:27
Speaker 14: It is forever altered.
• 35:29
Speaker 4: It is forever altered. It's a great way to put it.
• 35:31
Speaker 14: And the course of his life will forever be altered.
• 35:34
Speaker 6: And there is no good outcome here at the end
• 35:37
Speaker 6: of the day, the best outcome would have been for
• 35:39
Speaker 6: this to never have happened to begin with.
• 35:42
Speaker 14: But it did happen. And so while it is a
• 35:45
  Speaker 14: very very.
• 35:46
Speaker 6: Difficult decision for us to make as prosecutors, we have
• 35:50
Speaker 6: to be able to do the right thing and know
• 35:53
Speaker 6: that not only are we getting justice for the family
• 35:56
Speaker 6: of the victim, but that we are ensuring that we
• 35:59
Speaker 6: are keeping this society safe and that we are sending
• 36:02
Speaker 6: a message to the community that this behavior cannot be tolerated,
• 36:06
Speaker 6: whether it be an adult a child. At the end
• 36:09
Speaker 6: of the day, you cannot take someone else's life and
• 36:13
  Speaker 6: walk away unscathed.
• 36:15
Speaker 4: I will mention that the second team is due in
• 36:17
Speaker 4: court October twenty third also could be charged as an adult.
• 36:23
Speaker 4: And I think probably yesterday one of the truly saddest
• 36:26
Speaker 4: moments from yesterday, and I heard you in an interview
• 36:29
Speaker 4: with local media talking about that when judge Akers asked
• 36:32
Speaker 4: the young man, the first young man I'm talking about,
• 36:34
Speaker 4: the one that played guilty, why he did it, And
• 36:37
Speaker 4: just like a kid or a teenager would say, you know,
• 36:41
Speaker 4: kind of like when you get caught cheating on a
• 36:44
Speaker 4: math test or something. He just said, I don't know.
• 36:47
Speaker 6: I don't know why, and he didn't know why, and
• 36:49
Speaker 6: at fourteen he probably doesn't know why. But at the
• 36:54
Speaker 6: end of the day, he made a decision. And while
• 36:59
Speaker 6: the why would be great to know what was going
• 37:02
Speaker 6: through his mind, maybe give some some peace of mind
• 37:05
Speaker 6: to the family of Caden Martin, just to know why
• 37:09
Speaker 6: he did that. I don't think we'll ever know, and
• 37:11
Speaker 6: I'm not sure that he is capable of telling us.
• 37:15
Speaker 4: Three lives on that evening in January, prosecutor one teen
• 37:19
Speaker 4: life ended the store, Clark nineteen year old. The other two,
• 37:23
Speaker 4: as you said, have been forever altered. Not to play psychologists,
• 37:27
Speaker 4: because I know that's not what you are, although there's
• 37:29
Speaker 4: a little psychology that goes in with being a prosecutor.
• 37:31
Speaker 4: I'm sure what the hell's going on with our society.
• 37:34
  Speaker 14: I don't know.
• 37:35
Speaker 6: I don't know the crimes that we see come through
• 37:39
Speaker 6: our office day in and day out, even crimes involving
• 37:44
Speaker 6: juveniles as victims or offenders. I do not know what
• 37:49
Speaker 6: is happening. You know, we blame the drug epidemic for
• 37:52
Speaker 6: a lot of things, but at the end of the day,
• 37:54
Speaker 6: if you step back and look at things we need parents,
• 37:59
Speaker 6: We need teach We need people who are going to
• 38:01
Speaker 6: step up into these children's lives and teach them right
• 38:04
Speaker 6: from wrong. We are going to you know, we need
• 38:07
Speaker 6: people in positions who are able to provide a support
• 38:10
Speaker 6: system and guidance to our youth, to our children, because
• 38:15
Speaker 6: I think that's where the problems start.
• 38:17
Speaker 14: If they're not taught at a young age, right is right,
• 38:21
Speaker 14: wrong is wrong? You do the right thing? Then how
• 38:23
Speaker 14: do they know that?
• 38:25
Speaker 4: And I think sometimes we've seen this and I again,
• 38:28
Speaker 4: I'm not a psychologist in or do I play one
• 38:30
Speaker 4: on TV? And I'm and I'm older, and when you're
• 38:35
Speaker 4: when you get to be a certain age, you start
• 38:36
Speaker 4: to look at things a little bit differently. But there
• 38:39
Speaker 4: came a time in society when it just seems like
• 38:43
Speaker 4: we don't value life anymore. And I've heard people say, well,
• 38:47
Speaker 4: it's it's video games. You know, they said that in
• 38:49
Speaker 4: the eighties. When I was coming up in the eighties,
• 38:51
Speaker 4: it was video games, you know, it was that they
• 38:53
Speaker 4: don't I don't know what it is. But at some
• 38:55
Speaker 4: point we just got away from realizing that. And one
• 39:01
Speaker 4: of the sad things that really came out of that
• 39:02
Speaker 4: story is best I understand it. And again, I know
• 39:05
Speaker 4: you're limited on the second what you can say, and
• 39:07
Speaker 4: I don't want to do to jeopardize the case. But
• 39:11
Speaker 4: the clerk did what was asked of him, you know.
• 39:14
Speaker 4: And I don't know what the exact verbiage was, but
• 39:16
Speaker 4: it's basically, you're being robbed. He gave up the goods
• 39:19
Speaker 4: and they still shot and killed him.
• 39:21
  Speaker 2: You know.
• 39:21
Speaker 4: I mean I would say, you know, and I mean,
• 39:26
Speaker 4: what a horrible story. I mean that one really hit
• 39:29
Speaker 4: me hard when it happened back in January. I talked
• 39:32
Speaker 4: about it, you know, with police and stuff on the
• 39:33
Speaker 4: next day, on the Next Day show. But man, I mean,
• 39:36
Speaker 4: he did what what you are instructed to do and
• 39:38
Speaker 4: he still lost his life.
• 39:40
Speaker 14: Yes, And there again step back and look at the situation.
• 39:46
Speaker 6: We have individuals who are acting out in such a
• 39:51
Speaker 6: manner that obviously had no value for anyone's life in
• 39:57
Speaker 6: that circumstance. They again, you go back to the video games,
• 40:04
Speaker 6: the TV shows. I don't know that there's a root calls.
• 40:08
Speaker 6: I don't know that there's one particular cause. But at
• 40:11
Speaker 6: the end of the day, we really need to start
• 40:14
Speaker 6: valuing each other as a society and show each other
• 40:18
Speaker 6: that we care help each other instead of fighting with
• 40:20
  Speaker 6: one another.
• 40:21
  Speaker 14: I don't understand.
• 40:23
  Speaker 3: You know.
• 40:23
Speaker 6: Oftentimes we see a situation in my line of work
• 40:29
Speaker 6: where you don't always have a purely innocent victim, but
• 40:33
Speaker 6: in this situation we.
• 40:34
Speaker 14: Did, and so those are a lot harder to swallow.
• 40:40
Speaker 6: But again, you don't know what's right and what's wrong
• 40:44
Speaker 6: to do in those circumstances, because, as you said, Caden
• 40:46
Speaker 6: Martin still lost his life.
• 40:48
Speaker 4: Yeah, indeed, And again the trial for the second young
• 40:52
Speaker 4: person that's charging this will be in October. Deb I
• 40:54
Speaker 4: know you're very, very busy. It was a very very
• 40:59
Speaker 4: hard day for you and your staff yesterday. I mean
• 41:01
Speaker 4: for everybody involved that was in that courtroom, I'm sure,
• 41:03
Speaker 4: and even in the media covering stories like that, we

Speaker 4: even here, and the Mike Stewart texts already coming in Texas.
• 45:05
Speaker 4: Mike Stewart's new project. He wants a taxpayer to fund
• 45:08
Speaker 4: guardian caps for football playing students. They're seventy five dollars
• 45:12
Speaker 4: apiece and can be used only one year. Ask him
• 45:16
Speaker 4: how much money that is and perpetuity to buy every
• 45:18
Speaker 4: football playing student a guardian cap every year. Justice won't
• 45:22
Speaker 4: be able to get his tax reduction plan passed if
• 45:24
Speaker 4: Stuart's guardian cap plan goes through Also ironic, Stewart wants
• 45:29
Speaker 4: the government to mandate guardian caps for safety when he
• 45:32
Speaker 4: was staunchly against government mandates of masks for safety. Says
• 45:37
Speaker 4: a Texter. Well, you know, mister Stewart, tender Stuart or
• 45:41
Speaker 4: his staff always listened to this show, and I will
• 45:43
Speaker 4: ask him that very question tomorrow. Tech says that a
• 45:48
Speaker 4: fourteen year old boy had dead eyes. He needs to
• 45:50
Speaker 4: stay away from society for the duration of his life
• 45:52
Speaker 4: because he won't be able to interact as a productive
• 45:54
Speaker 4: member of society. You know, you never want to say never,
• 45:58
Speaker 4: but I have a tendency to agree with what the
• 46:01
Speaker 4: texture said there sadly again, that was my takeaway, as
• 46:06
Speaker 4: I said, from that story. And two fourteen year olds
• 46:11
Speaker 4: did the shooting, well, the second one because not officially
• 46:14
Speaker 4: gone to trial. I guess I had to say allegedly,
• 46:16
Speaker 4: but have been accused. The first one has pled guilty,

Speaker 4: and the nineteenth three teenagers three teenagers in the span

Speaker 4: sure that you know we will have complete coverage here
• 48:51
Speaker 4: on the radio via ABC Radio Network News starting at
• 48:55
Speaker 4: eight o'clock to night. Red's Baseball can be heard instead
• 48:59
Speaker 4: on Charleston ESPN Radio. You know, I'm going to review
• 49:03
Speaker 4: it tomorrow morning, and I'm sure Hoppy will as I said,
• 49:10
Speaker 4: Hobby is going to preview it with his folks coming
• 49:13
Speaker 4: up this morning, and I'll review it. I'm preeing now
• 49:17
Speaker 4: reading tomorrow. But at the end of the day, is
• 49:20
Speaker 4: it all really going to matter? I mean, Hoppy did
• 49:23
Speaker 4: a flashpole yesterday on X the artist formally known as Twitter,
• 49:28
Speaker 4: asking the question how much of an impact will tonight's
• 49:32
Speaker 4: debate truly have on the presidential race come November. If
• 49:38
Speaker 4: you're answering, if you didn't see it, none at all.
• 49:41
Speaker 4: Was the winner at forty percent. That was followed by
• 49:44
Speaker 4: a little at thirty seven percent, and a lot at
• 49:49
Speaker 4: twenty four percent. They say that the undecideds and the
• 49:53
Speaker 4: independents are going to decide the White House come November.
• 49:58
Speaker 4: I just don't know who the those people are at
• 50:01
Speaker 4: this point. There are. They're there, obviously, because you know,
• 50:04
Speaker 4: Trump and Harris are spending a lot of time at
• 50:05
Speaker 4: Pennsylvania and some of these other key Keith swing states.
• 50:09
  Speaker 4: But I don't. I don't. I can say this from
• 50:12
Speaker 4: my from my small circle. I don't know a single
• 50:17
Speaker 4: person who's undecided at this point. Now again, I'm in Charleston,
• 50:20
Speaker 4: West Virginia. There's a whole big world outside West Virginia.
• 50:23
Speaker 4: I realize that, but I don't know at this point
• 50:25
Speaker 4: a single person that is undecided. I think, you know,
• 50:29
Speaker 4: the Trump folks are, they got their heels in the sand.
• 50:32
Speaker 4: That's their guy. The Harris folks or some of them
• 50:35
Speaker 4: would be considered anti Trump folks, uh and maybe vice versa.
• 50:38
  Speaker 4: I don't know. They aren't going anywhere. And then there's
• 50:42
Speaker 4: a school of a lot of people that are just going,
• 50:44
Speaker 4: Holy crap, is this the best we can do? They
• 50:46
Speaker 4: said the same thing about Biden, and Harris may have
• 50:49
Speaker 4: given them a little bit more energy going in. Well,
• 50:52
Speaker 4: it couldn't be any less.
• 50:53
  Speaker 12: Uh.
• 50:54
Speaker 4: But you know, I don't know anybody who's undecided at
• 50:57
Speaker 4: this point. I will say, but maybe something happen at
• 51:00
Speaker 4: the debate time. My prediction if Trump tells lie after lie,
• 51:05
Speaker 4: which you will, his base will say he won. And
• 51:09
Speaker 4: if Harris goes back on the previous stances that she's
• 51:13
Speaker 4: had for decades on certain policies, including the border, so
• 51:16
Speaker 4: on and so forth, which she has done, then her
• 51:20
Speaker 4: side's going to say that she won. I will say this,
• 51:23
Speaker 4: I think Harris will perform much better because she is
• 51:27
Speaker 4: a better speaker, she doesn't make up words, and she
• 51:31
Speaker 4: is an old all things that Joe Biden were and
• 51:34
Speaker 4: were accused of style points. As I said, I think
• 51:39
Speaker 4: the edge goes to her. But I'll be watching tonight
• 51:43
Speaker 4: and I'm sure you will be too. Dave Allen Show
• 51:45
Speaker 4: and five that He Live brought to you part by
• 51:46

• 51:52
Speaker 4: Justice appointing all his rich friends to these boards? Why
• 51:55
Speaker 4: not a hard working middle class person. Apparently someone who's
• 51:59
Speaker 4: new to politics. Texas. Don't think I'm going overboard by
• 52:03
Speaker 4: saying our country has turned its face on God and
• 52:06
Speaker 4: the decline of our society shows it, says a texture. Uh, Texas,
• 52:11
Speaker 4: call me old school. I'm jen x. I'm of the
• 52:13
Speaker 4: mindset that fourteen year old's killing another person and don't
• 52:16
Speaker 4: know why they did it has a lot to do
• 52:17
Speaker 4: with everybody gets a trophy, hatred of hearing the word no,
• 52:21
Speaker 4: and a lack of discipline in the home Texas day.
• 52:24
Speaker 4: You may have mispoke Trump. People have their heads in

Speaker 4: know it's it's all very just said. They both work,
