- 1:23Speaker 4: This is a podcast call twenty five wist stocking fun
- 1:28Speaker 4: and they all whist So, yeah, it's too bad, But
- 1:31Speaker 4: what did you expect? It's a podcast call twenty five whistles,
- 1:36Speaker 4: swimming wine.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Hey, blow the whistle, thank you. I gotta get well
- 1:41Speaker 2: balloon here from Eddie. It's a smaller than you expected.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I didn't expect a balloon, so I would say it's
- 1:47Speaker 1: larger than I expected because I expected nothing.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Well, I went to the store and I'm like, I'm
- 1:50Speaker 2: gonna get him a big balloon because they saw like
- 1:52Speaker 2: huge ones. Then I saw that, I'm like, that's even funnier,
- 1:55Speaker 2: or did you go that's even cheaper? Well and cheaper.
- 1:57Speaker 2: It's a tiny little balloon that says get well. Yeah, well, buddy, gosh, dude,
- 2:01Speaker 2: this is crazy. So the first time I've seen you
- 2:03Speaker 2: since your surgery. So I had surgery last week.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I currently have my leg up in a director's chair
- 2:09Speaker 1: because I can't if it goes down for like five seconds, it.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Hurts so bad the bloods down to it.
- 2:14Speaker 1: This is the first day I haven't taken pain medicine,
- 2:16Speaker 1: so it's been killing me all day. What hurts your
- 2:19Speaker 1: whole foot or where the where the surgery was? I
- 2:23Speaker 1: don't know it all throbs like, I don't know that
- 2:26Speaker 1: I have a way to differentiate it.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Mmm.
- 2:28Speaker 1: But because we had to work recording this on Sunday night,
- 2:32Speaker 1: I took no pain medicine all day today.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Just because you want to like, not do it, you
- 2:36Speaker 2: want to show yourself you can. No. I didn't want
- 2:38Speaker 2: to come on and not be able to talk. Oh oh,
- 2:39Speaker 2: because it messes you up. Yeah, big time got it.
- 2:42Speaker 1: So I took no pain medicine and the doctor was like, hey,
- 2:45Speaker 1: I highly recommend you take your pain medicine. I said, yeah,
- 2:48Speaker 1: but I got these shows I got to do. And
- 2:49Speaker 1: he's like, I'm telling you, if you get behind, it's
- 2:53Speaker 1: going to kill you. And I don't know what he meant, like,
- 2:55Speaker 1: if you allow it to start hurting, it's hard to
- 2:57Speaker 1: get it to not hurt, and.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I've been chasing it all day. So yeah, it's been
- 3:01Speaker 2: killing me. Man, you should have just stayed on the medicine.
- 3:03Speaker 2: That would have been fun.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you know me not how I vibe.
- 3:09Speaker 2: But yeah, we you know, we've been hanging out the house.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I've done nothing.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I'm just sitting there crazy because it's nice to be
- 3:17Speaker 1: able to sit and do nothing when you want to
- 3:18Speaker 1: do nothing. Correct, It drives you crazy when you can
- 3:21Speaker 1: do nothing whenever you have to do the.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Options and you have the option to go do something right,
- 3:25Speaker 2: but you choose to do nothing. Yeah I can't. I
- 3:28Speaker 2: have no options.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And my wife's pregnant, so it's like we're not neither
- 3:31Speaker 1: one of us are like in our height right now.
- 3:33Speaker 2: So who oh god? So who does the Like, hey,
- 3:36Speaker 2: will you go get me? She's been very proactive. I'm
- 3:40Speaker 2: getting everything. Wow.
- 3:41Speaker 1: So she's like this week because the doctor's like, this
- 3:43Speaker 1: is gonna be a bad week for you, She's like,
- 3:45Speaker 1: this week, I'll handle it all. And so I try
- 3:47Speaker 1: not to ask too much and sometimes I just get up,
- 3:49Speaker 1: Like taking the dogs out, it's hard. That's tough because
- 3:52Speaker 1: we have a bulldog that likes to run off in
- 3:53Speaker 1: the woods, he won't come back. And he likes to
- 3:54Speaker 1: like dive bomb and poop like he's likes to run
- 3:56Speaker 1: and dive in it. So then that means we have
- 3:58Speaker 1: to clean him up. So we have to go out
- 4:00Speaker 1: with them. And I have three modes of transportation. I
- 4:05Speaker 1: have normal crutches, which, oh, got it, suck.
- 4:08Speaker 2: They have bruised up.
- 4:10Speaker 1: So there's your armpit, the back of your armpit where
- 4:12Speaker 1: those crutches go in. They have bruised that up so bad,
- 4:15Speaker 1: so that's sensitive to the touch.
- 4:17Speaker 2: You would think that with the technology, they'd make better crutches.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Well they did.
- 4:20Speaker 1: The other two things that I have, got it, they're
- 4:21Speaker 1: just not crutches. I have one of those wheelies and
- 4:26Speaker 1: it's a cart and you put your leg on it.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I've seen those a couple things.
- 4:30Speaker 1: With that one, we don't wear shoes in our house,
- 4:33Speaker 1: so I don't take that thing out of the house
- 4:35Speaker 1: because if I take it out of the house, the dirt.
- 4:38Speaker 2: It's just like wearing shoes in the house. It's the
- 4:39Speaker 2: same rule at the roller skating rink. If you have
- 4:41Speaker 2: skates that have been outside, you cannot bring them in.
- 4:44Speaker 1: And that was her. That's her low roller skate rink
- 4:46Speaker 1: rolls in the house. Yeah yeah, so I use that
- 4:49Speaker 1: to get around the house. But we have stairs, even
- 4:51Speaker 1: on the bottom floor, which that's very difficult. So I
- 4:54Speaker 1: can like rollerr to a certain point. And then I
- 4:56Speaker 1: have what is like the prosthetic, So you veingd your
- 5:00Speaker 1: back and you put your knee in it and you
- 5:02Speaker 1: have like this fake foot.
- 5:04Speaker 2: That thing is awesome. So overall that's the number one.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Like Captain Hook would be jealous of that thing. That
- 5:10Speaker 2: is the most useful. He hit an arm. Okay, my
- 5:13Speaker 2: bad a pirate with the peg.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that's number one draft pick.
- 5:19Speaker 2: But it's not the easiest. The easiest is the roleie.
- 5:21Speaker 1: You can just use this in more places and it's
- 5:23Speaker 1: easier to drive around with.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Dude, have you stifid question? Have you put a shoe
- 5:29Speaker 2: on that? No? On it? No, it's not an No,
- 5:34Speaker 2: I'm not trying to make people think it's a real leg.
- 5:36Speaker 2: You know. You know how like people with prosthetics they
- 5:39Speaker 2: put a shoe on the fig leg. You got to
- 5:41Speaker 2: put a shoe on that.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Well, so here's the problem is that I've only been
- 5:45Speaker 1: wearing one shoe on my good foot, right, I can't
- 5:48Speaker 1: find either shoe now.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Even walking down here, I get that because I've been
- 5:53Speaker 2: wearing flip flops or like a sandal type thing on
- 5:56Speaker 2: my good foot. I can't find either shoe because I
- 5:59Speaker 2: split them apart and I don't know where they are.
- 6:01Speaker 2: So it's cold now and I'm freezing. I'm coming down.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I have all these stairs to come down, and I
- 6:06Speaker 1: got no shoe on my foot.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I'm cold. My foot's freezing, it's got rocks in the
- 6:11Speaker 2: bottom of it. That's my good foot. It sucks, man. Yeah.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I hope in two and a half months or so,
- 6:17Speaker 1: when I can use my foot and ankle again because
- 6:19Speaker 1: it's been bothering me for two years, that it will
- 6:22Speaker 1: have been worth it.
- 6:23Speaker 2: But right now it sucks. It'll be worth it. Are
- 6:26Speaker 2: you at the point now where it's like you start feeling,
- 6:29Speaker 2: you start thinking of all the things that you can
- 6:31Speaker 2: do because you only have one good foot.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Not yet, because it's only been the weekend and it's
- 6:35Speaker 1: only been and I've had pain medicine the whole time. Yeah,
- 6:39Speaker 1: And so I really thought about not taking any pain
- 6:42Speaker 1: medicine because I don't want to get addicted. I have
- 6:44Speaker 1: a fear, probably a bit irrational with some rational mixed
- 6:48Speaker 1: in that I will take one pill and the next thing,
- 6:51Speaker 1: you know, I need it for the rest of my
- 6:52Speaker 1: life every hour.
- 6:53Speaker 2: And I took it because the doctor was like, you
- 6:56Speaker 2: need to take the pain pills. It's going to be
- 6:58Speaker 2: a nightmare for you if you don't. And so I
- 7:00Speaker 2: took it and it didn't make me feel any certain weight,
- 7:02Speaker 2: just made me go to sleep.
- 7:04Speaker 1: So I was like, cool, no problem. I didn't take
- 7:07Speaker 1: it every eight hours like he suggested. I just took
- 7:09Speaker 1: it to go to sleep, and then I took it
- 7:11Speaker 1: up short of hurting bad today, I should have taken it.
- 7:13Speaker 2: What are you taking? You know what? It's called pergasset, Well,
- 7:18Speaker 2: it's Nothing's called pergasset. I try to go off the
- 7:22Speaker 2: dumb on that one. It is hydrocodone. Oh yeah, that's
- 7:25Speaker 2: the good stuff.
- 7:26Speaker 1: So I don't know if that's like a version of
- 7:28Speaker 1: per cassett. I don't know which one's generic. I don't
- 7:31Speaker 1: know enough about it.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Yeah, that's crazy. So like, yeah, man, you start thinking
- 7:35Speaker 2: of Matthew Perry. I mean that's how like a lot
- 7:38Speaker 2: of those addictions started. He you know how he he
- 7:41Speaker 2: got addicted. He on the set of fools rush in.
- 7:44Speaker 2: He got an accident on jet ski and then it's
- 7:48Speaker 2: some like doctor on set was like, here, man, take these,
- 7:52Speaker 2: that's it.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I think that was Brett Farv's problem. I think he
- 7:55Speaker 1: had a pain pill addiction because he had hurt himself
- 7:57Speaker 1: so bad playing ball.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Yeah, and was addicted to pain pill. I'm trying not
- 8:00Speaker 2: to go down there. Don't let it start, dude, not try.
- 8:03Speaker 2: I'm trying with your foot.
- 8:05Speaker 1: It's so weird because I put a picture up on
- 8:07Speaker 1: Instagram of me in the hospital bed. It feels a
- 8:12Speaker 1: lot more serious than just ankle surgery. Whenever you're actually in,
- 8:15Speaker 1: they have you strapped. In the reading of your last rites,
- 8:17Speaker 1: the pre shows up like everything, it's like for legal reasons,
- 8:21Speaker 1: they have to make sure everything is covered. Yeah, they
- 8:23Speaker 1: got there. They're testing blood pressure, they're drawing blood. They
- 8:27Speaker 1: got they got clips on things case something goes wrong,
- 8:29Speaker 1: pull this, say this, here's the magic word, here's a
- 8:31Speaker 1: safe word.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Uh so you're doing it. Takes like an hour and
- 8:34Speaker 1: a half to even go in. And again I went
- 8:37Speaker 1: in and I had what they thought was a hole
- 8:39Speaker 1: in my cartilage that had gotten so wide they were
- 8:41Speaker 1: gonna have to put some cadara carlige. In turns out
- 8:44Speaker 1: there's a little more damage than they thought. Not much,
- 8:46Speaker 1: but a little more damage they thought. But they gave
- 8:49Speaker 1: me the riot act like I was about to go
- 8:50Speaker 1: in for open heart surgery.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Hold on, they told you this after the fact or
- 8:53Speaker 2: the How did they know that something was different before
- 8:55Speaker 2: they even win in? No, no, no, no, they told me after.
- 8:58Speaker 2: They give you all these images of the surgery. Once
- 9:00Speaker 2: they were in there and looked at it all. That's crazy.
- 9:02Speaker 2: They were like, here's what we thought. This is it.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Also, this had to be cleaned up. We found another
- 9:06Speaker 1: small hole here, we did the cadaver cartilage there.
- 9:11Speaker 2: There you go. Did you get information on whose cartilage
- 9:14Speaker 2: you got?
- 9:14Speaker 1: Nah?
- 9:14Speaker 2: You didn't ask? Yeah, I felt like that'd be weird.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I'd be like, I don't know, dude, I have no idea.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I have to find their family for Christmas and invite
- 9:24Speaker 1: them over. I didn't want to know for for my
- 9:26Speaker 1: own lazy sake Thanksgiving.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't want to have to like have a
- 9:29Speaker 2: new relationship, so I didn't ask. Then then go to
- 9:31Speaker 2: the first pitch of the game, like, here they are,
- 9:34Speaker 2: they're meeting for the first together. And then what if
- 9:37Speaker 2: I didn't like them and they wanted a back right, right?
- 9:40Speaker 2: So what was the whole processes? Like in and out? Finished?
- 9:45Speaker 1: The show went up, they said they would give me
- 9:49Speaker 1: the last surgery of the day because I said had
- 9:51Speaker 1: to work in the morning, and so they were like,
- 9:54Speaker 1: so be here at ten forty five and I'm like, dang,
- 9:56Speaker 1: that's cutting the close last surgeries the day.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Somebody's gonna go play golf. Yeah, exactly.
- 10:01Speaker 1: So I finished the show. We did not do a
- 10:04Speaker 1: part two on Friday because of that. On the Bobby
- 10:06Speaker 1: Bone Show, drove right over and they make you sign
- 10:11Speaker 1: all these forms and it's like, if something goes wrong
- 10:13Speaker 1: in surgery, do you want to donate your organs now
- 10:15Speaker 1: on my card?
- 10:16Speaker 2: I'm already an organ donor and your license. Yeah. I
- 10:18Speaker 2: don't know why they asked again. So I went to
- 10:19Speaker 2: my wife and I was like, remember those stories about
- 10:21Speaker 2: how people that right, yes, if they're on the brink
- 10:24Speaker 2: of death, they don't save them so they can donate them. Yeah.
- 10:26Speaker 2: I was like, maybe she's like, just sign yes.
- 10:30Speaker 1: She shut up, Just sign yes, if something happened, you'll
- 10:32Speaker 1: donate your organs. And so they walk me to the back,
- 10:36Speaker 1: and so they're like, Okay, put this gown on. And
- 10:39Speaker 1: I'm so fearful They're gonna look at my wiener when
- 10:41Speaker 1: I'm asleep.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Anyway, of course due because I'm out, but they let
- 10:44Speaker 2: me keep them underwear on. Oh good.
- 10:46Speaker 1: So they were like, you can take everything off except
- 10:48Speaker 1: for your underwear.
- 10:49Speaker 2: And I was like, great, wouldn't you like if you
- 10:51Speaker 2: were working in that, Like, wouldn't you like? No, I wouldn't,
- 10:56Speaker 2: just without a doubt, No, without a doubt, I wouldn't.
- 10:59Speaker 2: It depends on who it is.
- 11:00Speaker 5: I know you.
- 11:02Speaker 2: I don't think so. So I made the joke. Should
- 11:05Speaker 2: I have written with a sharpie yes on the right leg,
- 11:09Speaker 2: like don't cut this one? Or do cut this one?
- 11:12Speaker 2: This is the one? Yeah, he said. People do that.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I'm sure I doctor did yeah, because of the stories
- 11:17Speaker 2: of people that don't do that. And then they end
- 11:18Speaker 2: up chopping off the wrong leg.
- 11:20Speaker 1: They check you like four times to make sure it's
- 11:22Speaker 1: the right leg, even before they put anything in you.
- 11:24Speaker 1: What do they say, Well, first they put a bracelet
- 11:26Speaker 1: on you, and they put it on my right arm,
- 11:28Speaker 1: and they put it on the opposite of the one
- 11:29Speaker 1: they're supposed to cut.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Oh see, that's confusing to me. I guess they don't
- 11:33Speaker 2: want to. I guess they don't want to bump into it.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Like once you get opposites in and like no, no, no, guys,
- 11:37Speaker 2: left left, left, left leg.
- 11:39Speaker 1: And they're like, so, which leg will will be working on?
- 11:41Speaker 1: And I'm like left, great, great, now which one again?
- 11:44Speaker 1: Let's try to catch me in a line.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Cross examined? Yes, so then the the gas Yeah, the antestesiologist.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Normal looking? Yeah, very normal? Why my experience? Not really
- 12:00Speaker 2: normal looking people? What kind of person does that to you?
- 12:02Speaker 2: Like just they look like they haven't seen the sun
- 12:04Speaker 2: in a while. Oh interesting. You know there's a certain
- 12:07Speaker 2: kind of person that's that that does that, and they
- 12:09Speaker 2: always seem a little different, like hippie no, Dracula, Yeah, Gothy, Yeah,
- 12:16Speaker 2: like pale. No, I heard the pale part when he
- 12:18Speaker 2: said no son, pale. But like, what would their hobbies be? Reading? Okay, well,
- 12:24Speaker 2: I would hope any anesthesiologists like reads for fun in
- 12:26Speaker 2: a dark room? Uh Like, just like you're a very
- 12:30Speaker 2: bram stroker right now, it's for sure, Dracula. I don't know.
- 12:35Speaker 2: I've only done it like a handful of times, but
- 12:37Speaker 2: every time it's a weird, interesting looking person.
- 12:39Speaker 1: The person was as normal as could be good. And
- 12:42Speaker 1: he was like, hey, you can't roll out here with
- 12:45Speaker 1: your glasses on, and I said, well, as soon as
- 12:48Speaker 1: I wake up, like I can't see, So he put
- 12:50Speaker 1: my glasses in his pocket. I thought that was super
- 12:52Speaker 1: nice of them. I don't remember getting them back, but
- 12:54Speaker 1: i'd get them back because.
- 12:55Speaker 2: They record a video of me.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I don't remember that video even me had taken and
- 12:58Speaker 1: they're like, okay, so they they put a couple, they
- 13:00Speaker 1: put the needle in my hand for IVY and so
- 13:04Speaker 1: they're like, you're not gonna remember anything, and from that
- 13:07Speaker 1: point nothing. I just remember waking up, no way, nothing.
- 13:11Speaker 2: And did they do a countdown or anything or just
- 13:14Speaker 2: that's crazy. They might have done a countdown, but I
- 13:17Speaker 2: don't remember. Yeah.
- 13:18Speaker 1: I remember when I was five years old and I
- 13:20Speaker 1: had to go to the hospital, i'd rupture my spleen
- 13:22Speaker 1: very serious. I remember the mask and the countdown that
- 13:25Speaker 1: they put on me. That's one of my first memories
- 13:27Speaker 1: is a mask going over my head and they're like,
- 13:30Speaker 1: we're going to count you back from one hundred. You're
- 13:31Speaker 1: going into surgery, ninety nine gone tonight and nine and
- 13:36Speaker 1: I don't remember this one at all.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Wow. So rolled out and the doctor's like, here's out.
- 13:42Speaker 2: How it's gonna be. It's gonna be a couple of months,
- 13:45Speaker 2: maybe even three months before you have it again. This
- 13:46Speaker 2: is post post surgery. Did it hurt immediately, No, because
- 13:50Speaker 2: you're out. It didn't hurt at all, even yesterday because
- 13:54Speaker 2: I was on pay medicine. Really today it really got me. Yeah,
- 13:57Speaker 2: because he decided not to take your pay down. And
- 13:59Speaker 2: I Will was like, oh, I can move around a
- 14:01Speaker 2: little now. It's what you do.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's And I set at the bar and

- 16:08Speaker 2: I watched a bunch of college football, obviously, I gotta
- 16:11Speaker 2: tell you, not really a great weekend for football. Not really.
- 16:13Speaker 2: It's in general, and your razorbacks weren't playing. They weren't playing.
- 16:16Speaker 2: But we didn't lose. We played basketball. We lost. I
- 16:19Speaker 2: saw that. Yeah that sucked.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Yeah it's a close game. Yeah it was a good game.
- 16:23Speaker 1: It gets a good team. But it just wasn't like
- 16:25Speaker 1: the most football fascinating weekend. His college is fine, NFL.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I''ll tell you not much that much going on. Cowboys
- 16:31Speaker 1: aren't playing. Yeah, not much to look forward to. A
- 16:34Speaker 1: crappy weekend. Yeah, so yeah, that's what's up.
- 16:36Speaker 2: I'm here though, you're here, You're alive, yeah, and you're
- 16:40Speaker 2: gonna get well soon. I pulled a story because.
- 16:44Speaker 1: When we go to Vegas, we're not as good as
- 16:48Speaker 1: we once were, but we could be that good one
- 16:50Speaker 1: more time if we needed to. As Toby Keith said, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 16:54Speaker 1: And so I love to play craps.
- 16:56Speaker 2: If I play again, I don't play much. When I
- 16:58Speaker 2: was younger, I played a lot. I played a lot
- 17:00Speaker 2: of black jack, a lot of poker, some craps, And
- 17:03Speaker 2: if you can get on a hot craps table, it
- 17:05Speaker 2: is the greatest feeling because all these people you've never met,
- 17:08Speaker 2: you'll never spend another five minutes with the rest of
- 17:10Speaker 2: your life. You have nothing in common with, but you
- 17:12Speaker 2: are a unit. At that moment. You guys are having
- 17:15Speaker 2: the time of your life. There's a real connection. You're
- 17:17Speaker 2: giving hugs and fives five five, And it's hard.
- 17:20Speaker 1: To catch a hot craps table, but when't you do,
- 17:22Speaker 1: it's memorable because it's all winning. The thing about craps
- 17:26Speaker 1: is easy comiesy go mm hmm. You can sit down
- 17:30Speaker 1: with a few hundred bucks and it can be gone
- 17:31Speaker 1: so quick. Or if you hit just for a bit,
- 17:34Speaker 1: you can be up so much. And read the story
- 17:37Speaker 1: a grandma named Patricia de Mario walking to the brigade
- 17:41Speaker 1: in Atlantic City. She had one hundred bucks, just her
- 17:43Speaker 1: and a friend. She broke a world record. She finally
- 17:47Speaker 1: got the dice when it came to her. They went
- 17:50Speaker 1: back and looked at the security footage afterward, she rolled
- 17:53Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty four times over four hours and
- 17:55Speaker 1: eighteen minutes, what without losing? Whoa It was the longest
- 17:59Speaker 1: craps roll ever.
- 18:02Speaker 2: She rolled for over four hours without hitting a seven.
- 18:07Speaker 2: That's amazing except on the come out roll of course,
- 18:10Speaker 2: of course, crap crapping out or whatever. Can you imagine
- 18:12Speaker 2: the joy at this table, dude? And then and then like,
- 18:16Speaker 2: after thirty minutes, maybe fifteen minutes, you're thinking, all right,
- 18:19Speaker 2: here we go, because we're gonna start losing. After two hours,
- 18:22Speaker 2: you're still not losing four hours and eighteen minutes. The
- 18:26Speaker 2: problem here is there are some people that probably have
- 18:29Speaker 2: to leave. You gotta leave, man, yep, because it's not
- 18:32Speaker 2: even that they have to leave because of the winning.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Because I got an hour to go play. I got
- 18:35Speaker 1: two hours to go play. Some of them are drunk,
- 18:38Speaker 1: some of them have dinner plans. If you're hitting and
- 18:41Speaker 1: it's over an hour, and I've gotten into arguments with
- 18:44Speaker 1: people about this long. We have an appointment, an appointment,
- 18:46Speaker 1: a reservation, yeah, a show to go to yeah, And
- 18:48Speaker 1: I'm like, I can't leave the table. The granny's hot
- 18:50Speaker 1: right now. There had to be so many people that
- 18:53Speaker 1: got into fights after this because they wouldn't leave the table.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Does it say how much like that table gave out? No,
- 18:59Speaker 1: but it says thee of that happening were one and
- 19:01Speaker 1: one point five to six trillion. That's amazing to roll
- 19:04Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty four times over four hours and
- 19:07Speaker 1: eighteen minutes without losing.
- 19:08Speaker 2: So I think it's amazing when that what do you
- 19:10Speaker 2: call the small, big, small, tall, large? When you hit
- 19:14Speaker 2: all the numbers? Oh yeah yeah yeah on the top,
- 19:17Speaker 2: big and tall, big and small one. I think they
- 19:19Speaker 2: have different names. But yes, I think it's amazing when
- 19:21Speaker 2: that hits. I hit one last time and I don't
- 19:23Speaker 2: always better hit one last time. Yeah, so this is unbelievable, okay,
- 19:28Speaker 2: granny Yeah?
- 19:30Speaker 4: Uh.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Do you see where Mark Sanchez was fire from Fox?
- 19:32Speaker 2: No official done, done, Zoe. And I think like his
- 19:35Speaker 2: family was mad that he got fired like that. You
- 19:37Speaker 2: what do you expect like what happened? Yeah, exactly.
- 19:42Speaker 1: They must now feel confident that he was so at
- 19:47Speaker 1: fault in the wrong.
- 19:48Speaker 2: This is just me speculating here. Yeah, they must now
- 19:51Speaker 2: feel so confident that he was solely at fault that
- 19:54Speaker 2: they can fire him without fear of p repercussion. Did
- 19:56Speaker 2: you didn't you feel like you were pretty confident that
- 19:59Speaker 2: he was all that you've seen. Yeah, but I don't
- 20:03Speaker 2: feel like i've seen the full three sixty Yeah, I
- 20:05Speaker 2: haven't seen all the video.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Like I've watched him like looking like a zombie walking
- 20:10Speaker 1: down the streets of Indianapolis. I've seen the older man
- 20:12Speaker 1: in the hospital. I've seen him in the hospital. I've
- 20:14Speaker 1: seen report, but I've not actually seen it. So I
- 20:17Speaker 1: don't know. They must have enough knowledge because they're just
- 20:20Speaker 1: protecting themselves at this point, even by keeping them on.
- 20:23Speaker 2: But that's why he was fired and they were upset.
- 20:25Speaker 2: But like, don't the companies have to do, like say,
- 20:27Speaker 2: this is going on ongoing investigation. I think the court
- 20:31Speaker 2: case is in December, coming up maybe next month? Done?
- 20:34Speaker 2: The company kind of have to pay if, like say
- 20:36Speaker 2: you can't work, you're on administrative pay, right, I administrative
- 20:41Speaker 2: pay is visibility. But is that what it is like
- 20:43Speaker 2: when you're probably I don't know. So they would have
- 20:46Speaker 2: to pay him just to keep him on while this
- 20:49Speaker 2: is going on. Oh so if he okay, so if
- 20:52Speaker 2: he was there doing a game, yeah, that's why he
- 20:56Speaker 2: was there, right, that's a great point. They would have
- 20:59Speaker 2: to keep paying him.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I'm sure wouldn't be so much that would affect their
- 21:01Speaker 1: bottom line though probably not. But you're right, if he
- 21:05Speaker 1: goes and gets hurt while you're while he's there's gonna
- 21:09Speaker 1: have to be some money there. Right, that's interesting. And no,
- 21:12Speaker 1: I don't think that's it. I think they just didn't
- 21:14Speaker 1: want to get sued way later.
- 21:17Speaker 2: But yeah, he was fired. Did you see the story
- 21:19Speaker 2: about the Cleveland the Cleveland Indians picture guardians pictures? Yeah,
- 21:23Speaker 2: both two pictures, right, Yeah, what is happening?
- 21:25Speaker 1: The fact that they were only making five thousand dollars.
- 21:28Speaker 2: I didn't know they were making five thousand. I mean
- 21:30Speaker 2: I saw that the total bet was Uh. I think
- 21:34Speaker 2: the money that I guess they won from those bets
- 21:36Speaker 2: was like four hundred and fifty thousand.
- 21:38Speaker 1: So every time they throw a ball they got paid
- 21:41Speaker 1: five thousand bucks.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Whoa both of them? Okay, one of them had a
- 21:48Speaker 2: twenty million dollars contract. Yeah, it's crazy, dude. So is
- 21:51Speaker 2: this going to be a thing where we're just going
- 21:53Speaker 2: to get more stuff?
- 21:53Speaker 1: Yeah, well it's there are more people involved in it,
- 21:56Speaker 1: of course. But I would say this, there have been
- 22:00Speaker 1: so many people involved in this, but because it wasn't legalized,
- 22:04Speaker 1: we never knew about it because there were no flags
- 22:06Speaker 1: to put up. But now it's flagged immediately because it's
- 22:09Speaker 1: legal now. Yeah, so as soon as something seems off,
- 22:12Speaker 1: like the UFC fight last week, as soon as something
- 22:14Speaker 1: seems off, and it's going to be a massive story
- 22:16Speaker 1: where there were probably things like this happening. Maybe not balls,
- 22:21Speaker 1: because I don't know that every bookie was was doing
- 22:23Speaker 1: live in game bets. You did to be sitting with
- 22:25Speaker 1: your bookie doing live in game so even the prop bets,
- 22:32Speaker 1: because that's what these were.
- 22:33Speaker 2: These were boss strike props, right, No, I think just
- 22:35Speaker 2: pitches next pitch what we were doing at the Cubs game,
- 22:38Speaker 2: we for sure were. And let me tell you the
- 22:42Speaker 2: UFC stuff. They fixed it because I I did well
- 22:45Speaker 2: this weekend. Wo oh. So you think the only reason
- 22:47Speaker 2: you lost is because dude, how is it that they
- 22:50Speaker 2: all of a sudden have a gambling thing going on? Oh,
- 22:54Speaker 2: FBI is involved, and then the week after I started
- 22:57Speaker 2: hitting all my bets again, Uh huh, what's the correlation here? Well,
- 23:01Speaker 2: they were rigging it, dude, So they were rigging it.
- 23:04Speaker 2: So they rigged it so you would lose, not just
- 23:06Speaker 2: for me, but for all the people that kind of
- 23:08Speaker 2: watch UFC and know what's up. It's holding you back. Yeah.
- 23:12Speaker 1: They were getting paid five thousand bucks every time they
- 23:14Speaker 1: threw a ball, and they had one of the guys
- 23:18Speaker 1: had a twenty million dollar contract.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Like he was putting himself with that much. Gosh, that's crazy.
- 23:22Speaker 1: I got a lot of feedback over your race car interview.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Oh did you I can read you some of them?
- 23:27Speaker 2: Is it good?
- 23:28Speaker 1: Just finished listening to Eddie's podcast. We're in Fresno.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Hold on? No, no, no, what why are you holding on? Wait?
- 23:36Speaker 1: I gotta find it? There we go, we're in Fresno. Well,
- 23:41Speaker 1: because I accidentally hit the thing where it shows you
- 23:43Speaker 1: like a carousel up with the songs.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know what. It just
- 23:47Speaker 2: it flips between them and plays some songs. Yet it
- 23:50Speaker 2: flipped on me and I was like, why why did
- 23:51Speaker 2: it flip? What pictures? Well, it's all ice screenshot at
- 23:55Speaker 2: all of your images? Got it? Got it? The people
- 23:57Speaker 2: had sent me from DMS and what song did it pick?
- 23:59Speaker 2: I turned it off and he sort of playing tom
- 24:01Speaker 2: That's why I was like, hold on hold on, hold on,
- 24:02Speaker 2: okay Eddie, and and okay and wait let me get
- 24:08Speaker 2: through it. Haha.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Nonetheless, I actually enjoyed his interview. I'd say he had
- 24:13Speaker 1: solid questions, but as soon as the interview started. On
- 24:16Speaker 1: the interview, I couldn't stop laughing what I think they
- 24:20Speaker 1: mean when we.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Started, Oh yeah, yeah, spell check exactly. You're gonna be
- 24:24Speaker 2: a critic. Here's another one.
- 24:27Speaker 1: The voice he was using was definitely peto edo what
- 24:31Speaker 1: it went downhill a bit after Eddie asking me about socks.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Oh, that was funny. I just asked if he wore
- 24:37Speaker 2: if he was sock shoe, socks shoe when he puts
- 24:39Speaker 2: him on. Yeah, because he says he likes everything kind
- 24:42Speaker 2: of the same way every time he gets in his car,
- 24:44Speaker 2: like everything I do, like a seatbelt goes on first,
- 24:46Speaker 2: and I got to do the wheel, the staring with like,
- 24:49Speaker 2: so I asked, like, are you are you a weirdo?
- 24:51Speaker 2: Like do you do socks shoes, socks shoe, socks shoes?
- 24:53Speaker 2: Like no, No, he did laugh at that question. He
- 24:57Speaker 2: did laugh.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Eddie did a good job on the interview. We started
- 24:59Speaker 1: off at touch exuberant in the beginning, but once he
- 25:02Speaker 1: settled exuberant. The interview was smooth and flowed nicely. Eddie
- 25:06Speaker 1: did a great job, but he did stutter a few times.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Nothing bad. Oh my gosh, here's what from Tracy van Vliet.
- 25:12Speaker 2: We're from? It does?
- 25:13Speaker 1: I haven't got there. I don't know, Bobby. I thought
- 25:16Speaker 1: Eddie did a great job of the interview. I got
- 25:18Speaker 1: into Nascar. Oh, I'm not into Nascar, but he made
- 25:20Speaker 1: the details part interesting without being too technical. He also
- 25:23Speaker 1: brought in the human side, which was fun in random
- 25:26Speaker 1: But my daughter and I took your advice and placed
- 25:27Speaker 1: to bet for Arkansas win the national championship of basketball.
- 25:29Speaker 2: That has nothing to do with it, but that's cool.
- 25:31Speaker 2: That's cool though. Yeah, thank you. So overall, I would
- 25:34Speaker 2: say they gave you a solid b Yeah. I'll take it.
- 25:37Speaker 2: I'll take it. I mean, and although the criticism was
- 25:39Speaker 2: very nitpicky, but I get it. It's fine. We asked,
- 25:41Speaker 2: we asked for it. You asked for it.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll come back and talk college football with Brandon
- 25:46Speaker 1: Marcello next. Every yard, every sack, every interception, and every
- 25:51Speaker 1: touchdown with pick six DraftKings newest game, every snap can
- 25:55Speaker 1: turn into a big time payout. This isn't just watching
- 25:59Speaker 1: the game. This is planned win. Here's how it works.

- 26:15Speaker 2: Georgia, Missouri and more.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Where maybe you haven't been able to do some of
- 26:18Speaker 1: the DraftKings stuff that we talk about. Go bold, go big,
- 26:22Speaker 1: and start stacking wins with pick six from DraftKings, where
- 26:25Speaker 1: every pick can pay off huge. So Monday Night's game
- 26:29Speaker 1: Eagles at Packers, aj Brown more or less than fifty
- 26:32Speaker 1: six receiving yards. He has not been getting the looks
- 26:37Speaker 1: or the catches that normally you would expect, but I
- 26:39Speaker 1: think they're gonna have to score against the Packers. I'm
- 26:41Speaker 1: gonna go more than fifty six receiving yards. I'm gonna
- 26:44Speaker 1: go more with Saquan of seventy four rushing yards, and
- 26:47Speaker 1: then Jordan Love I'm gonna go less than two hundred
- 26:49Speaker 1: and thirty three passing yards. So those are my picks,

- 27:55Speaker 1: All right, let's get over and talk with Brandon Marcelo
- 27:57Speaker 1: from CBS Sports and twenty four seven Sports. Brandon was
- 28:01Speaker 1: at the Texas A and M win over Missouri, so
- 28:03Speaker 1: we'll talk about that. In Texas A and M not sucking.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Usually they start sucking about this time, they're not sucking
- 28:09Speaker 1: at all. Follow Brandon Marcelo on Instagram at Brandon Marcelo.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Here he is Brandon Marcello.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Hey, I was reading your article about Texas A and M,
- 28:18Speaker 1: and I, like you wrote, I'm very surprised to not
- 28:21Speaker 1: see them flounder as November hits.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Why is this team different, Brandon?
- 28:26Speaker 5: Well, Number one, Jimbo Fisher isn't the coach or Kevin someone.
- 28:31Speaker 5: But also they're just really well built in the trenches.
- 28:35Speaker 5: They've done a great job in the portal, but also
- 28:37Speaker 5: with some of the holdovers of talent that was recruited
- 28:40Speaker 5: under Jimbo Fisher.
- 28:41Speaker 6: Remember a few years ago.
- 28:42Speaker 5: They had the best recruiting class ever that's ever been rated,
- 28:47Speaker 5: according to twenty four to seven Sports, and there's still
- 28:49Speaker 5: some pieces there from that. Also, Marcel read the quarterback
- 28:53Speaker 5: is just phenomenal. I don't think he's getting enough kind
- 28:56Speaker 5: of recognition and push out there. He's really improved as
- 28:59Speaker 5: a pass this year. He's a little bit more patient
- 29:02Speaker 5: in the pocket. Last year he was just taking off
- 29:04Speaker 5: and running quite a bit. This year that hasn't really
- 29:06Speaker 5: been the case. And you know, I think that that
- 29:09Speaker 5: early season win against Notre Dame is really what kind
- 29:12Speaker 5: of got their their motor running. And they're just they're
- 29:15Speaker 5: clicking on all cylinders. They're undefeated. They're six and two
- 29:19Speaker 5: in Mike Elko's two years on the road, and it's
- 29:22Speaker 5: a complete flip from what the previous resumes have been
- 29:25Speaker 5: there in college station.
- 29:27Speaker 1: How would you rank them with the three Ohio State, Indiana,
- 29:30Speaker 1: and Texas A and M.
- 29:32Speaker 5: I would probably still put A and M at three
- 29:34Speaker 5: right now, just because of what Indiana has done to
- 29:38Speaker 5: practically all but two opponents, just absolutely blowing them out.
- 29:43Speaker 5: He had a rally of course against Penn State this week,
- 29:45Speaker 5: which was a crazy ending of the game. And Ohio
- 29:47Speaker 5: State just seems to be more complete, especially defensively. And
- 29:51Speaker 5: you know, I know the College Football Playoff Committee chairman
- 29:53Speaker 5: actually said last week that the differentiator there from A
- 29:57Speaker 5: and M between those two Ohio State and Indie was
- 30:00Speaker 5: the defense. And if you look at the numbers, they're
- 30:02Speaker 5: exactly right. A and M's defense is just kind of
- 30:04Speaker 5: average in some of those numbers and they got to
- 30:07Speaker 5: improve on that. And even in their big win against
- 30:09Speaker 5: Missouri this week where they won by twenty one, they
- 30:11Speaker 5: still allowed several explosive plays, especially on the ground, and
- 30:15Speaker 5: it's that lack of consistency that could probably end up
- 30:18Speaker 5: coming up and biting them here when they play a
- 30:20Speaker 5: tougher opponent.
- 30:21Speaker 2: What does this mean from Missouri?
- 30:22Speaker 1: They weren't expected to win, but they weren't expected to
- 30:24Speaker 1: get routed at home.
- 30:25Speaker 5: Yeah, it's the writings on the wall as far as
- 30:28Speaker 5: like what the program has been the last two to
- 30:31Speaker 5: three years. You know, they beat everybody they're supposed to,
- 30:34Speaker 5: and then the teams that they're equal to, maybe a
- 30:38Speaker 5: little bit below, they just can't beat under Eli Drinkle,
- 30:40Speaker 5: which right now they're zero to three against ranked teams
- 30:42Speaker 5: this season, similar record last year. It's just whenever they
- 30:47Speaker 5: get the type of games that you need to win
- 30:48Speaker 5: at home, they can't do it. Alabama earlier this season
- 30:52Speaker 5: and now Mazoo both at home. You got to split
- 30:55Speaker 5: those two if you want any hope of getting in
- 30:57Speaker 5: a playoff, and a great team should be able to
- 31:00Speaker 5: do that. One thing I hurt Missou I should say
- 31:03Speaker 5: is that you know they play their third string quarterback
- 31:07Speaker 5: as a starter because of injuries, a true freshman and
- 31:10Speaker 5: Matt Zalerz who you know, you only completed seven passes
- 31:13Speaker 5: against A and M. And that's the lowest amount of
- 31:16Speaker 5: pass completions by a Missouri quarterback since I think twenty sixteen,
- 31:20Speaker 5: So you know, it wasn't really gonna be their day
- 31:23Speaker 5: potentially anyway. But even when they've been healthy and had
- 31:27Speaker 5: a lot of pieces together, they just they can't get
- 31:29Speaker 5: that top twenty five win they need.
- 31:31Speaker 1: I always like to see a team play after their
- 31:33Speaker 1: coaches fired, and we got to see Auburn play. I
- 31:35Speaker 1: don't know how much of that you got to watch,
- 31:37Speaker 1: because that game ended up being way more of a
- 31:40Speaker 1: game than I thought it would be. Were they a
- 31:43Speaker 1: talented team that plays better without their head coach or
- 31:45Speaker 1: were they just a fired up team that really didn't
- 31:47Speaker 1: have personnel in their playoff of motion?
- 31:49Speaker 6: I it's both.
- 31:49Speaker 5: Actually, I think that Hugh Freeze just absolutely held them
- 31:53Speaker 5: back offensively, and you saw that. I mean, Vanderbilt's pretty
- 31:57Speaker 5: good defensively, and for Auburn to go on the road
- 31:59Speaker 5: and score you know, thirty eight points in regulation by
- 32:02Speaker 5: far their best point total against an SEC opponent all season.
- 32:07Speaker 5: That tells you something was going on with the play calling.
- 32:09Speaker 5: Auburn's super talented offensively, They're one weakness offensively is the
- 32:12Speaker 5: offensive line. They've got a receiver room that could have
- 32:16Speaker 5: been top five in the in the country this year
- 32:19Speaker 5: and they didn't utilize them correctly. They've had a bench there,
- 32:22Speaker 5: one point five million dollar quarterback and bring Ashton Daniels
- 32:26Speaker 5: in as a starter. But I will say, like the
- 32:29Speaker 5: one issue I had, the big issue I had with him,
- 32:31Speaker 5: is that, you know, Dj Dirkin, their defensive coordinator, takes
- 32:34Speaker 5: over as head coach, and it's the defense that sucked Saturday.
- 32:38Speaker 5: It was the offense that I mean, it's almost like
- 32:40Speaker 5: they went, Okay, we got to fix this offense, and
- 32:42Speaker 5: Dj Dirkin like put all of his eggs in that
- 32:45Speaker 5: basket thinking his defense would hold hold their own, and
- 32:48Speaker 5: they absolutely didn't. So let's see how they respond these
- 32:52Speaker 5: next couple of weeks. But when you get this late
- 32:55Speaker 5: in a season and you change coaches, teams usually show
- 32:59Speaker 5: a little bit more of what they could be in
- 33:04Speaker 5: that initial game that afterward, but they always if they're
- 33:07Speaker 5: in a tight game, they lose it almost certainly the
- 33:10Speaker 5: same way they've lost games all season, and that's kind
- 33:14Speaker 5: of what happened with Auburn against Vanderbilt there in overtime,
- 33:18Speaker 5: and and you even saw it with Arkansas, and you've
- 33:21Speaker 5: seen it with LSU. Like just a certain types of
- 33:25Speaker 5: losses continue for those programs no matter who the coach
- 33:29Speaker 5: has been.
- 33:29Speaker 1: I was watching a lot of Auburn Twitter and they
- 33:32Speaker 1: are very passionate about DJ dark in one way or
- 33:34Speaker 1: the other. Is there any shot he's in now the
- 33:36Speaker 1: top five to get that job?
- 33:38Speaker 6: Yeah? I think so. Yes, I think he was beforehand.
- 33:42Speaker 6: I think he still is.
- 33:45Speaker 5: He's definitely not number one, I can tell you that,
- 33:48Speaker 5: especially with two Lanes John Summer all doing so well
- 33:51Speaker 5: and beating Memphis on the road this week. You know,
- 33:54Speaker 5: Memphis had won to I think eleven straight at home,
- 33:57Speaker 5: and they went in there and and and beat them.
- 33:59Speaker 5: And he's going to be up for a lot of jobs,
- 34:01Speaker 5: or several jobs, or would say including Arkansas, But I
- 34:06Speaker 5: think Auburn's the one that just makes a lot of
- 34:08Speaker 5: sense for them, for both parties. And I think for
- 34:12Speaker 5: Dirk and though for him to rise in that top five,
- 34:15Speaker 5: he's going to have to win his last two games,
- 34:18Speaker 5: and that includes beating Alabama.
- 34:20Speaker 6: They're at jord and Here Stadium.
- 34:21Speaker 1: You had kal as your most impressive win this week
- 34:24Speaker 1: as they beat Louisville.
- 34:26Speaker 2: That's a pretty tough loss for Louisville, right.
- 34:29Speaker 5: Oh yeah, definitely. And the ACC is just an absolute
- 34:32Speaker 5: mess right now. There's like what five teams with one
- 34:34Speaker 5: loss in the standings and at good Luck trying to
- 34:37Speaker 5: figure out who's going to be in Charlotte for their
- 34:39Speaker 5: a SEC championship game. I was really high on Louisville
- 34:43Speaker 5: after the way they beat Miami. Jeff Brawm, I think
- 34:45Speaker 5: is still like one of the top fifteen coaches in
- 34:47Speaker 5: the country, but that the way they lost that game,
- 34:51Speaker 5: especially late, like the late game clock management was dreadful.
- 34:55Speaker 5: In regulation when they're trying to drive down the field,
- 34:58Speaker 5: they couldn't do anything. They threw a ball when they
- 35:03Speaker 5: shouldn't have in the middle of the field and it
- 35:04Speaker 5: burned clock and they didn't have any timeouts remaining very
- 35:08Speaker 5: just kind of head shakingly bad loss, not just because
- 35:11Speaker 5: of the result, but also how they got there, how
- 35:13Speaker 5: they lost that game. But cal Jks, their quarterback has
- 35:17Speaker 5: been phenomenal all season, and you know you've seen them
- 35:20Speaker 5: clawing their way and potentially going to have a breakthrough
- 35:23Speaker 5: at some point. But I was shocked that it ended
- 35:25Speaker 5: up being against Louisville. I thought it'd be someone more
- 35:27Speaker 5: mid tier in the ACC.
- 35:29Speaker 1: The Texas Tech BYU game ended up, I think how
- 35:32Speaker 1: a lot of people felt it would end up. But
- 35:33Speaker 1: when I was watching that didn't watch all of it,
- 35:35Speaker 1: it did look like Texas Tech physically was.
- 35:37Speaker 2: A dominant team over BYU. Did you feel the same.
- 35:40Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, Tech is just going to be Tech's
- 35:43Speaker 5: got the most talented roster in the Big twelve. I
- 35:46Speaker 5: want to see their offense, though, be more explosive. I
- 35:50Speaker 5: got to see more of them through four quarters before
- 35:52Speaker 5: I can say they will be a threat in the playoff.
- 35:56Speaker 5: There's just so much more there that they could be
- 35:57Speaker 5: tapping into. You know, there's a couple of team teams
- 36:00Speaker 5: like that that are in the playoff hunt right now
- 36:02Speaker 5: will probably will be in the playoff. Texas Tech offensively,
- 36:06Speaker 5: and same with Oregon offensively, it just seems like they're
- 36:09Speaker 5: just not hitting on all the cylinders that you're expecting
- 36:12Speaker 5: with all the pieces they have, And I'm really curious
- 36:16Speaker 5: to see how they do in their last two to
- 36:18Speaker 5: three games and whether they can kind of rev things
- 36:20Speaker 5: up more because if Tech just gets to a point
- 36:22Speaker 5: where you know they've they're following two drives short, like
- 36:27Speaker 5: like gets Tech watching that game, like, I felt like
- 36:29Speaker 5: there's like two more drives there where they had touchdowns.
- 36:32Speaker 5: You can't do that every single week in advance in
- 36:35Speaker 5: the playoff.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Oregon and Iowa was an ugly game, and that's the
- 36:38Speaker 1: kind of game that I felt like Iowa wants to play,
- 36:41Speaker 1: and I think, you know, Oregon just outrained them. They
- 36:44Speaker 1: kicked a field goal at the end whenever I think
- 36:46Speaker 1: they were maybe the three or the five, they had
- 36:49Speaker 1: drive ninety something yards in order to I was like,
- 36:51Speaker 1: there is Iowa doesn't drive ninety yards. So Iowa's always
- 36:55Speaker 1: played that same style of ball. Though, Are they going
- 36:58Speaker 1: to have to completely change full administration to throw the
- 37:02Speaker 1: ball to have an offense that can go ninety yards
- 37:04Speaker 1: because you kind of knew they wouldn't win that game
- 37:06Speaker 1: when it got close, right, Yeah.
- 37:08Speaker 5: I mean it's gonna take a whole new coaching staff
- 37:10Speaker 5: for that to change, and that's not coming anytime soon.
- 37:13Speaker 5: It looks like, you know, it's funny, you know, I
- 37:16Speaker 5: have a writer friend up there who like it almost
- 37:19Speaker 5: like I always tease them, like every summer he's like, hey,
- 37:21Speaker 5: things are gonna be a little bit different the offense
- 37:23Speaker 5: year this year.
- 37:23Speaker 6: I go, No, it's not. They're gonna keep running the ball.
- 37:27Speaker 5: They're not gonna throw the ball often, they're not gonna
- 37:29Speaker 5: do any hurry up. So it's like, oh, I'm telling
- 37:30Speaker 5: you they're they're speeding things up a little bit this year.
- 37:33Speaker 5: You're gonna you're gonna be No, it's the same old,
- 37:35Speaker 5: same old, And hey it's Kirk Ferrets wins that way.
- 37:38Speaker 5: But you know, you know, going into this past week,
- 37:41Speaker 5: Iowa was in a great position. They've been playing very
- 37:44Speaker 5: well and they had orgon this this past week and
- 37:48Speaker 5: then they would go to USC two teams in the
- 37:50Speaker 5: playoff on themselves, and if Iowa won both of those,
- 37:53Speaker 5: Iowa would be in the playoff, which I don't think
- 37:56Speaker 5: a lot of people saw. And you know, they're one
- 37:58Speaker 5: kick away against Oregon from getting one of those two
- 38:01Speaker 5: steps done. But now those hopes are over.
- 38:04Speaker 1: Let's go playoff. USC wins. How do you feel about
- 38:07Speaker 1: USC making playoff.
- 38:10Speaker 6: Not very consistent?
- 38:12Speaker 5: I still think maybe Iowa could even beat them, even
- 38:15Speaker 5: though they Iowa has to go all the way across
- 38:17Speaker 5: the country. There will be obviously a lot of resume
- 38:21Speaker 5: comparisons to be made within the Big Twelve, and also
- 38:25Speaker 5: especially with USC against.
- 38:27Speaker 6: Independent Notre Dame. With Notre Dame winning that head to
- 38:30Speaker 6: head Notre Dame.
- 38:31Speaker 5: Being a two loss team, some interesting conversations will have
- 38:35Speaker 5: to be had there. You know, I think USC is
- 38:38Speaker 5: like one of those teams, much like BYU this past week.
- 38:40Speaker 5: We kind of just sit there and expect. We're expecting
- 38:42Speaker 5: them to lose at some points. We're not really discussing
- 38:44Speaker 5: them as a playoff potential, but they could do it.
- 38:49Speaker 5: Jade Miyava the quarterback is great, but they still lead
- 38:54Speaker 5: a little bit more to be desired defensively for me.
- 38:57Speaker 1: What about the three SEC teams with Vandy, Texas, and Oklahoma,
- 39:01Speaker 1: any of them have a shot to get in?
- 39:04Speaker 2: Oh?
- 39:04Speaker 5: Yeah, most definitely. And I think the most interesting conversation
- 39:08Speaker 5: we might end up having is what happens if Vanderbilt
- 39:12Speaker 5: finishes with only two losses and Texas has two losses,
- 39:17Speaker 5: or the more interesting one, Texas has three losses but
- 39:22Speaker 5: they have a head to head and win against Vanderbilt.
- 39:25Speaker 6: Is there a potential there.
- 39:26Speaker 5: We might see a discussion about three loss Texas getting
- 39:30Speaker 5: in over Vanderbilt, a two loss team.
- 39:32Speaker 6: I think that's something we got to discuss.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Also, Texas have any that way to come.
- 39:36Speaker 1: They head to head over Oklahoma too, kind of a
- 39:38Speaker 1: rasist if they're even Texas just gets it right.
- 39:42Speaker 6: Right, Yes, I think so. Let's but also, you know,
- 39:45Speaker 6: we gotta watch what happens in the Big Ten.
- 39:46Speaker 5: You know, the Big Ten I said in the preseason
- 39:49Speaker 5: and I kind of continue to say it. They look
- 39:50Speaker 5: like a three bid league. The ACC looks like a
- 39:53Speaker 5: one bid league. Big twelve looks like a one bid league.
- 39:56Speaker 5: And if that continues, that's really going to help the
- 39:58Speaker 5: SEC out.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Have you heard it anything regarding any of the spots
- 40:02Speaker 1: coaching wise, because we could start at Wisconsin it looks
- 40:04Speaker 1: like they.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Will not be hiring a new coach.
- 40:05Speaker 5: Yeah, Wisconsin sticking with Luke Fickele. They made that official
- 40:08Speaker 5: this past week. Nothing really too groundbreaking on the coaching
- 40:13Speaker 5: carousel as far as candidates. You know, I keep reminding
- 40:16Speaker 5: people it's still super early. They're still vetting out guys,
- 40:21Speaker 5: still talking to agents and everything, trying to get a
- 40:24Speaker 5: feel of where the chessboard might move here over the
- 40:28Speaker 5: next few weeks. Again, I think, you know, the second
- 40:31Speaker 5: to last week in November, and especially that last week
- 40:35Speaker 5: of November, things will really start heating up when you'll
- 40:37Speaker 5: finally hear probably here like that there's three guys in
- 40:40Speaker 5: the mix here at this job or two here where
- 40:42Speaker 5: this is the number one target. But with some of
- 40:45Speaker 5: these jobs that are open, you know, especially like in
- 40:48Speaker 5: Auburn with John Summer all in Tulane, there's some very
- 40:52Speaker 5: clear like leaders right now in those jobs, like James
- 40:56Speaker 5: Franklin of Virginia Tech. But now there's a name people
- 40:58Speaker 5: are going to start paying more to to is Bob
- 41:01Speaker 5: Chesney out of James Madison. He's someone that could be
- 41:03Speaker 5: very much involved in a couple of jobs, especially Virginia Tech.
- 41:07Speaker 5: But it all depends on what these coaches and their
- 41:09Speaker 5: agents say over the next few weeks.
- 41:11Speaker 1: I saw the picture of the James Madison coach, supposedly
- 41:14Speaker 1: at Virginia Tech getting off the plane.
- 41:16Speaker 2: I don't know what to believe anymore at all.
- 41:18Speaker 5: It's fake, it's actually I looked at that. It's actually
- 41:22Speaker 5: a photo of him getting off the plane for their
- 41:23Speaker 5: game this past week.
- 41:25Speaker 6: It's not. It's someone just took the picture and said
- 41:29Speaker 6: just I.
- 41:30Speaker 5: Mean, you can put any word under anything nowadays and
- 41:32Speaker 5: some people will believe as long as it catches fire.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:34Speaker 1: The message board post said like, my wife works at
- 41:37Speaker 1: the airport and took this picture, and I was like,
- 41:39Speaker 1: that's enough.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Proof for me. I guess it looks like it's about
- 41:42Speaker 2: to happen.
- 41:43Speaker 5: No, Nope, just getting off the plane for game day
- 41:46Speaker 5: or the day before the game traveling.
- 41:48Speaker 1: Who would you say the two or three coaches are
- 41:50Speaker 1: that have really moved up into the conversation to get
- 41:53Speaker 1: one of these jobs, because you just mentioned one from
- 41:55Speaker 1: James Madison and North Texas has a guy as well.
- 41:57Speaker 1: But who would you say those coaches are They are
- 41:59Speaker 1: now in that mix.
- 42:00Speaker 5: You know, like John Sumral as I mentioned, Eric Morris,
- 42:04Speaker 5: Bob Chesney. You know, it's interesting we're not talking a
- 42:07Speaker 5: lot about coordinators potentially, but there's gonna be some coordinators
- 42:11Speaker 5: that will have to fill these jobs because there's gonna
- 42:13Speaker 5: be so many. So like a Will Stein at Oregon,
- 42:16Speaker 5: who's the offensive coordinator, there is someone to watch. And
- 42:19Speaker 5: then even some former head coaches who are out of
- 42:21Speaker 5: the game. Uh, former Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald. He's gonna
- 42:26Speaker 5: get back in and he's gonna be a candidate somewhere.
- 42:29Speaker 5: You're gonna hear his name come up at some point
- 42:32Speaker 5: this year. But the names that you've kind of been
- 42:36Speaker 5: here in the last couple of weeks is really the
- 42:39Speaker 5: ones that just continue to kind of gain buzz. I
- 42:43Speaker 5: want to be surprised. Another name out there that maybe
- 42:45Speaker 5: we'll catch more heat is Colin klein Uh, the offensive
- 42:50Speaker 5: coordinator at Texas A and M, who, of course was
- 42:53Speaker 5: previously at Kansas State and Kansas State alum former quarterback.
- 42:58Speaker 5: I think he's someone who's fast on the right and
- 43:00Speaker 5: might get some nibbles as well.
- 43:01Speaker 2: All right, two final questions.
- 43:04Speaker 1: I'm hearing nothing about John Gruden anymore, not that I
- 43:07Speaker 1: ever thought that was really real. He mentioned he'd love
- 43:10Speaker 1: the coach in the SEC, and I watch all of
- 43:12Speaker 1: these SEC Twitter teams and clubs, and there's really not
- 43:16Speaker 1: a lot of Gruden rumors anymore.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Do you think he'll end up in college football as.
- 43:20Speaker 6: Of right now?
- 43:20Speaker 5: No, I don't see it, and I haven't heard his
- 43:23Speaker 5: name come up even among like top three candidates as
- 43:27Speaker 5: some of these jobs. But also remember a lot of
- 43:31Speaker 5: the jobs that are open right now are Power Conference teams.
- 43:35Speaker 5: And my question for John Gruden now, and I haven't
- 43:38Speaker 5: spoken to him in over a year, but when I
- 43:40Speaker 5: spoke to him about a year ago and he's talking
- 43:42Speaker 5: about maybe coaching college football, it didn't strike me that
- 43:44Speaker 5: he'd be ready and willing to go coach a group
- 43:46Speaker 5: of five or group of six school And that might
- 43:50Speaker 5: be what's.
- 43:50Speaker 6: On the table for him if he really wants to
- 43:52Speaker 6: get into it. I mean, if he really.
- 43:53Speaker 5: Wants to be a college football coach, that's probably how
- 43:55Speaker 5: he's going to have to start things. I mean, I
- 43:57Speaker 5: know we've see these celebrity coaches, as we try to
- 44:01Speaker 5: call him, like Deon Sanders or Trent Dilfer, you know,
- 44:04Speaker 5: get jobs, But Dilfer had to get in a group
- 44:06Speaker 5: of six and Deon Sanders is just different from everybody
- 44:09Speaker 5: else because of his pedigree. And for that matter, Deon
- 44:13Speaker 5: Sanders coach Jackson State for a couple of years. He
- 44:16Speaker 5: had to work his way up even to Colorado. So
- 44:18Speaker 5: I don't think John Gruden could just jump into it
- 44:20Speaker 5: and expect to get a job like say Bill Belichick did.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Let's finish on a Heisman question, any chance a defensive
- 44:27Speaker 1: player can win it this year.
- 44:28Speaker 6: I don't see it.
- 44:30Speaker 5: I know there's some increasing chatter about that, especially at
- 44:33Speaker 5: Texas Tech, but I don't see it. I think it's
- 44:36Speaker 5: gonna be a quarterback award this year, especially after what
- 44:39Speaker 5: Fernando Mendoza did this week leading Indiana down the field
- 44:43Speaker 5: in that final drive and throwing that touchdown pass that
- 44:45Speaker 5: have be reviewed in the back of the end zone.
- 44:47Speaker 5: I think Mendoza just had his Heisman moment. I think
- 44:50Speaker 5: he's the favorite right now, and I'm sure it is
- 44:52Speaker 5: in the betting books too. I think Marcel readt A
- 44:55Speaker 5: and M about washing Person this week. He's gonna continue climbing.
- 44:58Speaker 5: If A and M wins out this regular season, I
- 45:02Speaker 5: think Marcel Ree could very well be maybe the runner
- 45:05Speaker 5: up finisher there. But to me, right now, this award
- 45:08Speaker 5: is coming down to the two quarterbacks that are undefeated
- 45:12Speaker 5: in the Big Ten, Fernando Mandoza and Julian Saying at
- 45:16Speaker 5: Ohio State.
- 45:17Speaker 6: And it'll be interesting to watch.
- 45:20Speaker 5: But I will say this, I think this has probably
- 45:22Speaker 5: been the dullest Heisman Trophy race in recent memory that
- 45:27Speaker 5: I can remember.
- 45:27Speaker 1: Yeah, That's why I asked if you thought a defensive
- 45:29Speaker 1: player had a shot this year because again it feels
- 45:31Speaker 1: like every week there's a couple of guys that go
- 45:33Speaker 1: up a little, they'd go down a little, but there
- 45:35Speaker 1: really hasn't been except for before the season started, an
- 45:39Speaker 1: absolute favorite. And before the season started, none of those guys,
- 45:41Speaker 1: the nuss Meyers, the arch Mannings, the DJ Lagways, the
- 45:46Speaker 1: South Carolina, none of those guys are in the mix now.
- 45:49Speaker 1: So it's just kind of been a weird year for
- 45:50Speaker 1: the Heisman.
- 45:51Speaker 5: Yeah, and yet DJ Lagway he was benched this week
- 45:54Speaker 5: at Florida and they lost. You know, of course Florida
- 45:57Speaker 5: of course don't have a coach anymore. But like it's
- 46:00Speaker 5: rleble out. The preseason pronostications now are more wrong than ever.
- 46:03Speaker 5: It's because of the transfer portal in IL. You just
- 46:06Speaker 5: don't know what to expect these rosters. I don't know
- 46:08Speaker 5: the exact numbers, but I mean, you know, we had
- 46:11Speaker 5: the number two team go off to the worst first
- 46:14Speaker 5: eight or nine game stretch in college football history, Penn State.
- 46:19Speaker 5: He had Clempson, the top ten team who some people
- 46:21Speaker 5: picked to win the national champ ship this year, absolutely
- 46:24Speaker 5: fall apart. Florida State rising quickly into the top twelve
- 46:28Speaker 5: after being Alabama and just looking like an absolute shell
- 46:31Speaker 5: of its former self. It's it's more difficult than ever
- 46:34Speaker 5: to try and put a finger on what a team's
- 46:37Speaker 5: going to do, and, for that matter, what an individual
- 46:39Speaker 5: is going to do.
- 46:40Speaker 1: As often say, it's hard to finger the heisman all
- 46:44Speaker 1: the time, all the time. All right, Brandon, thank.
- 46:47Speaker 2: You, buddy. We'll talk to you soon, my Brandon Hey.
- 46:58Speaker 2: Final segment, how did you feel about the Cowboys playing
- 47:03Speaker 2: Cowboys playing win on all Sunday? What do you mean
- 47:06Speaker 2: they didn't play? No, I didn't they didn't play, So
- 47:08Speaker 2: I didn't do anything. Yeah, you had you feel about that?
- 47:10Speaker 2: That's cool. I mean, do you like it or do
- 47:12Speaker 2: you not like it? I like the week off? Yeah? Yeah,
- 47:15Speaker 2: And now I don't have to worry if they want
- 47:17Speaker 2: or loss. You could dude, that like last week. That
- 47:20Speaker 2: carried that carried on for two days, two days, the heartache,
- 47:24Speaker 2: and then finally I got over it the Cardinals game. Yeah,
- 47:28Speaker 2: stupid dude.
- 47:28Speaker 1: Well, Arkansas didn't play either, and we've been losing a lot.
- 47:31Speaker 1: And I think when we're winning, or if I think
- 47:33Speaker 1: we have a chance to win, I don't like the
- 47:35Speaker 1: off week I really didn't mind it.
- 47:37Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and maybe it's good to.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Be a basketball game that night. I had something to
- 47:40Speaker 1: really look forward to. But then we lost that too.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but I did think about that, and I thought, like,
- 47:44Speaker 2: is that part of the scheduling, Like, Okay, their football
- 47:47Speaker 2: team has a buy though, Okay, because that's perfect and
- 47:50Speaker 2: they even they even promoted it all week. Yeah. Arkansas
- 47:52Speaker 2: Michigan State, that's a big early Yeah college basketball game.
- 47:56Speaker 2: You still like how they look? Yeah? They play well, Yeah, dude,
- 48:01Speaker 2: it's their first away game. It's like their second game
- 48:03Speaker 2: of the year.
- 48:04Speaker 1: We went into Michigan State hostile environment, and I thought
- 48:07Speaker 1: we should have won the game.
- 48:08Speaker 2: But I thought you were going to want win the game.
- 48:10Speaker 1: I think cal our head basketball coach, has scheduled every
- 48:14Speaker 1: Elite eight team from last year we're playing we're playing
- 48:16Speaker 1: them this year, which is crazy.
- 48:18Speaker 2: No one's ever done the history of basketball. Why would
- 48:20Speaker 2: he do that.
- 48:20Speaker 1: He wants to play big teams. He's like, let's get
- 48:22Speaker 1: us ready, We're not going to go in, and I'll
- 48:24Speaker 1: be ready here. I Am going We're not going to
- 48:26Speaker 1: go in if we keep losing all these games. Used
- 48:30Speaker 1: I watched a bunch of college football parts of a
- 48:33Speaker 1: bunch of games because again with my foot messed up,
- 48:35Speaker 1: I really wasn't able to move around.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Big ten football looks so slow compared to SEC. Maybe
- 48:41Speaker 2: it's just they have more white guys per eleven. That's funny.
- 48:46Speaker 1: That could be it, because the more white people in
- 48:49Speaker 1: the eleven, the slower you are. And like I watched
- 48:53Speaker 1: Indiana and I watched the Indiana Penn State game and
- 48:56Speaker 1: they just look slow.
- 48:57Speaker 2: They won. That's interesting. I wonder why. I think it's
- 49:01Speaker 2: the way the more white people you have, the slower
- 49:04Speaker 2: you are. A slower That's really what I feel. Their
- 49:07Speaker 2: quarterback looks slow, like he had that that passes the
- 49:09Speaker 2: end of the game.
- 49:10Speaker 1: Uh, like Marcello said, it's heisman a moment, but he
- 49:14Speaker 1: looks slow and he was running the ball a lot.
- 49:16Speaker 1: And their coach Signetti he's only likable as a caricature.
- 49:22Speaker 1: He's not likable as a person. Yeah, because even before
- 49:26Speaker 1: the game, they were like, hey, so Penn State's never
- 49:28Speaker 1: won here. And he he reminds me of I don't
- 49:33Speaker 1: want to say he reminds me of, but because he
- 49:34Speaker 1: does remind me of somebody, Okay, he reminds me of
- 49:37Speaker 1: somebody he's like, grabs a micer gets close to it.
- 49:40Speaker 2: He goes, yeah, but this team's never played here. They
- 49:43Speaker 2: like walks off. It's like, dude, we already know you're good.
- 49:46Speaker 2: You don't have to convince us. You have to be hard.
- 49:48Speaker 2: And then like after the game, there was he he's
- 49:52Speaker 2: just so like in your.
- 49:53Speaker 1: Face, but not like cool in your face, like he's
- 49:55Speaker 1: trying to prove something in your face.
- 49:57Speaker 2: But he wins, so he is proving something. Yeah. I
- 49:59Speaker 2: don't think Signette he's not likable. I think he's funny.
- 50:01Speaker 1: I like him for what he brings to college football
- 50:04Speaker 1: and what he brings to Indiana.
- 50:05Speaker 2: They're not a it's not a football school. No it's not.
- 50:07Speaker 1: It's a basketball school. Yeah, it's awesome. So I root
- 50:10Speaker 1: for Indiana because of that. As a human, I don't
- 50:13Speaker 1: want to have dinner with that guy. I want to
- 50:14Speaker 1: hang out with them, But I think what he brings
- 50:16Speaker 1: the football is really good.
- 50:18Speaker 2: I made a couple other notes. J. J. McCarthy sucks.
- 50:21Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, dude, he almost got Justin Jefferson killed like
- 50:24Speaker 1: ten times in the game. As an ugly game anyway,
- 50:27Speaker 1: most of the games were ugly, But I think they
- 50:30Speaker 1: were slow soft benching him.
- 50:32Speaker 2: Before they let it before let him come back.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Yeah, like Carson Wentz had to like fully have a
- 50:35Speaker 1: shoulder ripped off before he was JJ McCarthy sucks.
- 50:38Speaker 2: Yeah, he's not. He's not very good that. It sucks
- 50:41Speaker 2: because you think that he did, like they did see
- 50:44Speaker 2: more in him, or that he was going to be
- 50:46Speaker 2: their their forever starter. But no, I don't think that's
- 50:49Speaker 2: going to be the case.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Well, and Kevin O'Connell is the quarterback whisper in Minnesota,
- 50:53Speaker 1: so maybe they will get him to a place, but
- 50:54Speaker 1: he looks.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Lost out there. And Josh McCown, his quarterback coach, went
- 50:58Speaker 2: to college with him. Did you just throw that in
- 51:00Speaker 2: a tan? Yeah? Yeah? How cool?
- 51:02Speaker 5: Did that?
- 51:03Speaker 2: I didn't have to do it in school with Josh Man? Yeah?
- 51:05Speaker 2: Did you know him? Nah? I never said, I never
- 51:07Speaker 2: met him. Another note I have is that the Bears
- 51:09Speaker 2: also suck, but they keep winning. I know, isn't that crazy?
- 51:13Speaker 2: And they're all comeback wins.
- 51:14Speaker 1: Yeah, and again it's not like there were world beaters
- 51:17Speaker 1: and they beat a team that was great this this week,
- 51:19Speaker 1: but it doesn't matter. You get a Win's a freaking win.
- 51:22Speaker 2: Yep. They Dart. I thought he died for a second.
- 51:25Speaker 2: Me too. Gosh, he's getting murdered.
- 51:28Speaker 1: So the Bears are winning, and I think they kind
- 51:33Speaker 1: of suck the Giants. Jackson Dart is losing, but it's
- 51:36Speaker 1: kind of good.
- 51:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:39Speaker 1: I never really thought that he would have a successful
- 51:42Speaker 1: rookie campaign.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Hey, did they all get fired or did I just
- 51:46Speaker 2: see a tweet when people were acting like it?
- 51:47Speaker 4: No?
- 51:47Speaker 2: I didn't. He didn't get fired acting like it though.
- 51:50Speaker 2: Did you see that too? Yeah? They were like he's out.
- 51:53Speaker 2: You ever saw that Jackson got a concussion? I like.
- 51:57Speaker 2: I like his style of play me too. I know,
- 51:59Speaker 2: I I don't like the necklace, but I love the silence.
- 52:01Speaker 5: I know.
- 52:02Speaker 1: You know that I was rooting for the Giants. I
- 52:04Speaker 1: was wanting the Giants to beat the Bears. But yeah,
- 52:06Speaker 1: I like Jackson Dart.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Didn't I see it? Like? Did he just get it
- 52:09Speaker 2: like a hot girlfriend or something? Just get one just
- 52:12Speaker 2: popped up like he's dating somebody famous. I don't know, Mike,
- 52:15Speaker 2: would you google that?
- 52:17Speaker 1: I don't know if it's true or not, but I've
- 52:19Speaker 1: seen plenty of tiktoks where people at ole Miss claimed
- 52:21Speaker 1: that they help them that he was like cheating on
- 52:25Speaker 1: his girlfriend.
- 52:26Speaker 2: Oh okay, yeah, but he's not with that girlfriend though anymore. Right, Oh,
- 52:30Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't even know if he's dating anybody.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Who do you see? He's linked to a model named
- 52:34Speaker 2: Marissa Ayers. That's her? Yeah, dude, it's super hot. Popped
- 52:38Speaker 2: up on my Instagram. He was like official officially dating,
- 52:42Speaker 2: Like why am I on? This? Is this my algorithm?
- 52:44Speaker 2: I don't think they're officially dating this. Oh okay, anything
- 52:48Speaker 2: come to mind from the games you watched? No, just
- 52:51Speaker 2: I hit a couple of touchdown bets, which I haven't dude,
- 52:55Speaker 2: I've never hit those because it's so hard. I loved.
- 52:57Speaker 2: What I like to do is on the start of
- 52:59Speaker 2: Sun is pick one touchdown from every game, right, so
- 53:03Speaker 2: just one player to score a touchdown from every game,
- 53:06Speaker 2: and if I'm lucky, y'all hit one. That payout is
- 53:09Speaker 2: like twenty thousand dollars for like a dollar bet. Yeah,
- 53:12Speaker 2: and I finally hit two, just two. I was like,
- 53:14Speaker 2: you know what, I'm gonna go smaller this time. I'm
- 53:16Speaker 2: going to get two touchdown people. And they scored. They
- 53:19Speaker 2: both scored. Oh so you only did two? Overall? I
- 53:20Speaker 2: only did two overall and then you hit it, and
- 53:22Speaker 2: then I hit it. I want fifty bucks off that.
- 53:24Speaker 2: Off a dollar bet off a dollar bet because it
- 53:26Speaker 2: was like Rodriguez from the Commanders and Jenny's from the
- 53:30Speaker 2: forty nine ers. Did you bet on samusince day? Oh dude,
- 53:33Speaker 2: let me tell you. On Friday, Like Friday, I'd say
- 53:37Speaker 2: Friday at five o'clock, it was like almost sunset. I
- 53:39Speaker 2: got a beer. I was sitting outside my outside my backyard.
- 53:43Speaker 2: I just looked up. I told you, I don't look
- 53:44Speaker 2: up a lot, and I looked. I looked up to
- 53:47Speaker 2: the sky and dude, I'm not kidding. There was a
- 53:51Speaker 2: cloud in the shape of an S, A perfect S.
- 53:55Speaker 2: I've never seen a cloud in the shape of an S.
- 53:58Speaker 2: So I was like, what can that mean? And I
- 54:00Speaker 2: was just happen to be looking at DraftKings and I
- 54:03Speaker 2: saw that Sam Houston was playing Texas Tech in basketball.
- 54:06Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, Texas Tech's are really good. Let me
- 54:09Speaker 2: just bet on them to cover. I bet Sam Houston
- 54:11Speaker 2: to cover. They covered. They played well against Texas Tech,
- 54:15Speaker 2: and then on Saturday they were playing Oregon State. I'm like,
- 54:18Speaker 2: no chance they're gonna beat Oregon State. I bet them
- 54:21Speaker 2: to beat Oregon State. They beat Oregon State because of
- 54:25Speaker 2: the s. Dude, I call it whatever it is, But
- 54:28Speaker 2: I saw that sign from in the sky, and I'm like,
- 54:30Speaker 2: this is it God's telling me to bet Sam Houston State.
- 54:33Speaker 2: I have a bet going on right now. It was
- 54:35Speaker 2: a five bet parlay. Did you see it in the sky?
- 54:38Speaker 2: I did not, But let me explain to you where
- 54:39Speaker 2: I am. So.
- 54:42Speaker 1: I bet Jamiir Gibs any time touchdown score he hit,
- 54:45Speaker 1: got it, good, Pouka and Akua, anytime touchdown score, got it,
- 54:49Speaker 1: got it. Matthew Stafford two forty plus passing yards, got it.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Mac Jones two twenty plus passing yards, got it. The
- 54:56Speaker 1: only thing that I don't have is a Christian McCaffrey touchdown.
- 54:59Speaker 1: And I bet three hundred bucks to win twenty three
- 55:01Speaker 1: hundred dollars.
- 55:02Speaker 2: Or are we in that? We are? I believe like
- 55:05Speaker 2: eight minutes left in the game. Yeah, eight and a half, yeah, yeah,
- 55:09Speaker 2: eight twenty nine and they're down.
- 55:12Speaker 1: Okay, they're down two touchdowns, but McCaffrey catches the ball
- 55:15Speaker 1: a bunch he does. So if everybody listening, if McCaffrey
- 55:19Speaker 1: ends up in a touchdown, I just hit for.
- 55:21Speaker 2: Twenty three hundred bucks. That's huge. I did hit a
- 55:25Speaker 2: strong one. I didn't bet much Esterio. Well, I saw
- 55:26Speaker 2: that the one you sent me. Yeah, that was awesome. Yeah,
- 55:30Speaker 2: I hit that one too, But first a smaller value.
- 55:33Speaker 2: I bet a three team parlay. Is this one or
- 55:39Speaker 2: four hundred bucks? The last one was Indiana over? Yeah?
- 55:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I had a Texas Tech money line, Georgia money line,
- 55:44Speaker 1: and then the over in the Indiana Penn State game,
- 55:48Speaker 1: which you just got. I bet five hundred bucks and
- 55:49Speaker 1: one fourteen seventy one.
- 55:51Speaker 2: Dude, that is awesome. But I need I don't need Christian.
- 55:55Speaker 2: I don't need it. I would like to have Chris,
- 55:56Speaker 2: but you got to say it that way. I don't
- 55:57Speaker 2: want to, man, I need this. I don't want to.
- 56:00Speaker 2: Sometimes my kids will hear me saying like I need
- 56:01Speaker 2: this and there what do you mean? No, No, that's
- 56:05Speaker 2: going to be a core memory. Dead boys relax, whispering
- 56:09Speaker 2: to himself that he really needed a betting win. We're good,
- 56:11Speaker 2: We're good. What happened with your boys baseball team? Basketball?
- 56:14Speaker 6: Oh?
- 56:15Speaker 2: I thought it was baseball? Last time? Basketball? He made
- 56:17Speaker 2: the team did alright? Right? He made the team is awesome,
- 56:20Speaker 2: he's super pumped. But dude, I'm telling her, this whole
- 56:22Speaker 2: process has just been weird. It's been two weeks of tryouts,
- 56:27Speaker 2: very secretive, tape on the windows, no parents whatever, right,
- 56:31Speaker 2: and then the whole process of finding out if you
- 56:33Speaker 2: made the team was parents, we will send an email
- 56:35Speaker 2: out at ten thirty pm to everybody, to every Well,
- 56:39Speaker 2: they didn't say that. They just said they'll send an
- 56:41Speaker 2: email out notifying you of your kid made the team.
- 56:43Speaker 2: So if you didn't make it, you didn't get an email,
- 56:45Speaker 2: not sure because you got one. I got the email,
- 56:47Speaker 2: and then I looked at who else got the email,
- 56:49Speaker 2: you know, just to kind of see, and it's what
- 56:51Speaker 2: were they up there in the BCC they put other
- 56:53Speaker 2: parents in there? No, it's it was one of those
- 56:55Speaker 2: like to themselves, you know where it looks like that's weird.
- 56:58Speaker 2: They emailed themselves, but to all of us. And so
- 57:02Speaker 2: what was weird about the email? It said parents don't
- 57:06Speaker 2: communicate with other parents about this, And I was like,
- 57:10Speaker 2: what do you mean, Like, so to me, that's telling
- 57:13Speaker 2: me that they didn't tell everyone that they didn't make it.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Maybe the email just went out to the parents of
- 57:18Speaker 2: the kids that did make it? Don't talk about it
- 57:21Speaker 2: to any other parents. So I'm sitting at home on
- 57:23Speaker 2: Saturday night being like, who do I know? M like,
- 57:27Speaker 2: I know all the other dads, Like we go to
- 57:29Speaker 2: all the practices together.
- 57:30Speaker 1: It would be weird to text want to be like,
- 57:32Speaker 1: did your kid make it? And they're like, I don't know,
- 57:33Speaker 1: but correct.
- 57:35Speaker 2: And then I had one parent the next day like
- 57:38Speaker 2: it was like, you know, later in the afternoon text
- 57:41Speaker 2: me and say congratulations, I heard your son made it.
- 57:45Speaker 2: I don't know how to respond. I'm like, are we
- 57:46Speaker 2: supposed to be talking right now? Like did they make it?
- 57:49Speaker 2: Did you really hear that? You're just throwing some chum
- 57:52Speaker 2: out there to see who comes up. Maybe it was
- 57:54Speaker 2: the weirdest. This whole thing has just been so weird
- 57:56Speaker 2: to me, And I don't know why. I don't know
- 57:58Speaker 2: why middle schools sports has to be this weird. When
- 58:01Speaker 2: did they play? They played twice a week in their
- 58:04Speaker 2: first games in a couple of weeks. They travel at all, Yeah,
- 58:07Speaker 2: but it's all it's all local. I think the furthest travel.
- 58:10Speaker 2: They're playing Kentucky, one little tournament in Kentucky, but it's
- 58:14Speaker 2: like Kentucky near us yeah, so, like I don't know,
- 58:17Speaker 2: forty five minutes away, is he pumped? Super pumped? Dude,
- 58:19Speaker 2: he's so excited. But I think fifteen kids made it.
- 58:22Speaker 2: So I'm like, all right, you made the team, but
- 58:24Speaker 2: now it's time to make the starting the starting squad.
- 58:28Speaker 2: Do you think he will? I don't know. He's he's
- 58:31Speaker 2: really good. He's just short and so just depending on
- 58:35Speaker 2: on I think I think skills skill wise, like he's
- 58:40Speaker 2: he's probably in the top. But they they've got to
- 58:44Speaker 2: see a leader in him. They've got to see like
- 58:45Speaker 2: more than just like a pretty good ball handler. They
- 58:48Speaker 2: got to see like, all right, this kid's a good leader.
- 58:49Speaker 2: He'd be a good point guard. And then he'll he'll
- 58:51Speaker 2: be the starter. But we'll see, man TBD. You know
- 58:54Speaker 2: what I had that was really good was cherry barbecue sauce.
- 58:58Speaker 2: Really it's a cherry flat favorite barbecue sauce. I don't
- 59:01Speaker 2: know about flavored. I think I had cherries in it.
- 59:02Speaker 2: Really never heard of that. Yeah, well, what made you
- 59:05Speaker 2: think of that? A basketball? I think I was skipping
- 59:09Speaker 2: the topic. Basketball is around, cherries are around. I think
- 59:15Speaker 2: I was looking at the time a few things. My
- 59:18Speaker 2: foot's killing me, Yeah, dude, we gotta get some meds
- 59:20Speaker 2: in you, and it's hard to focus on anything I
- 59:23Speaker 2: want to know about your son. And then it just
- 59:25Speaker 2: kept going and I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I don't I
- 59:27Speaker 2: don't think you went too long. I think I just
- 59:29Speaker 2: don't have I don't have much. I got you, and
- 59:31Speaker 2: I'm thinking I need to get something in me. It'd
- 59:33Speaker 2: be good food, and then I thought barbecue. Yes, And
- 59:36Speaker 2: then I'm like, you know, we're about to.
- 59:37Speaker 1: Wrap this up as anything else I want to say,
- 59:39Speaker 1: And for some reason it popped up. I've had some
- 59:41Speaker 1: cherry barbecue sauce. What did it taste like like cherry coke?
- 59:44Speaker 2: But it tastes like barbecue sauce, had a hint of
- 59:47Speaker 2: cherry flavor and also had little cherries in it. That's cool.
- 59:50Speaker 2: It was really good. I didn't know if that was
- 59:51Speaker 2: like a common thing. Never never heard of that. My
- 59:53Speaker 2: wife had asked me a couple times, when you're gonna
- 59:55Speaker 2: come when you guys want when do you want it? Really? Like,
- 59:59Speaker 2: just say the time I'll come. Do you want me
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: to bring the blackstone and do the whole deal? You
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: have to ask? Probably not, because I have to run
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: a trailer for that. Oh yeah, probably not, probably not. Okay,
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: all right, weird done, Brandon. How'd you do this weekend?
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: Come?
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: All right?
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: I did all right? I hit a few, didn't hit
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: a bunch. That's not a good that's not a good weekend. No,
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: you didn't see the s in the sky? Got it? Yeah?
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: Any McCaffrey touchdown? Not yet they have the ball. At least.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: I have my fancy team too, Like it's just a
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: it's a double need.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: And I'm playing you. No, I'm not on that team.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: I don't consider that like a real league. I'm be
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: honest with me either, dude, Like I know we all
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: playing it together, but it's like, I don't consider that
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: to be like a real league.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: There was a time when that was that was the
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: main league. And I don't ever want to play in
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: two leagues. I'm always a one league guy. But then
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: I got another league.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: More money, Yeah, more stakes. Yes, that one feels like
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: it's really the real league. I get it. Oh, before
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: we before we we end it? What do we so?
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: We just need to can't city to win to make
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: some What do we need in our league? In our
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: money making league, money making money losing league. We've already
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: exhausted because Kantity didn't play. They're on bye, oh, they're
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: on by So we're done. We're done, which was weird
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: because we had two teams play each other. Yeah, and
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: then we Miami. But the good thing is I can't
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: believe Miami beat Buffalo, Yeah, because that means we have
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: to pay out. Buffalo though was winner. Oh so we
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: skipped that. Yeah, that's good. That's really good. I had
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: to think about that for a second. Yeah, that was it.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: That was a big win. Yeah, Sophin's freaking beaten. All right.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: Love to have Christian McCaffrey touchdown. If you hear a scream,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: that's probably me. If we hit that one, that's it.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: We'll see you guys later on in the week.
