- 0:04In this political Coliseum, we slay the rising beast with the big resort of truth that transcends hypocrisy and censorship.
- 0:16It's time to unleash yourself from the tyrants of media propaganda on the America Out Loud Talk Radio Network.
- 0:26This is unleashed the political news hour.
- 0:32Welcome to Unleashed Political News Hour.
- 0:34I'm Nate Kane, and we are getting into some domestic topics today.
- 0:40I know a lot of times I get into geopolitics, but there's something that has been going on for far too long.
- 0:47And I think it's something that we need to take a look at.
- 0:51And I'm talking about what is happening in Minnesota, what seems to be happening in Georgia, what is going on really around the world.
- 1:01And that is that I see President Trump closing in on election integrity issues, whether it is getting the illegals out of this country in places like Minnesota and elsewhere around the country, or whether it is having his Department of Justice or the Department of Homeland Security, actually in this case, and the FBI raid Fulton County uh clerk's office and collect evidence of a stolen election in 2020.
- 1:35But all of these things really are, I think they are telling of a greater issue that is at hand.
- 1:45And that is that Trump understands one thing very clearly, and that is that the Democrats cannot win elections without cheating.
- 1:54If he can remove their ability to cheat, then the chances of Republicans winning the midterm election, I think actually increase exponentially.
- 2:09Typically whatever uh office is in power during the midterms, the party in power tends to lose.
- 2:19This is typically, okay.
- 2:21That doesn't mean that's gonna happen every time.
- 2:23The difference this time is I think that the Democrats, I think, have played their hand way too hard on the woke stuff, uh, you know, whether it's the transgenderism issues, whether it's the support for illegal aliens.
- 2:37Um, you know, you can look and see what's happening right now down in Virginia, where the Democrats took the uh the governor's office.
- 2:46Uh, they've already begun instituting all kinds of taxes and fees, which basically do nothing to help affordability.
- 2:55In fact, they hurt those that are the poorest.
- 2:58And so I don't think it's hard for people to see the reality of what is going on.
- 3:03Now, there is without a doubt, you have to acknowledge that there has been a concerted effort by the media and by the left to push and try to infect people with Trump derangement syndrome.
- 3:17And to be honest with you, uh, you know, it's not hard for them to do because Trump tends to say things sometimes that are outrageous because he's eliciting a response and uh, and I believe it's intentional, but they're then able to take his words and use them out of context and cut them up, like we saw what happened with the BBC and CNN and others.
- 3:43The fact is, though, folks, that Trump sees really what is coming, and that is that the Democrats they they have been setting everything up in this country for the last decade so that they could replace their voting base, which has largely, you know, either become not interested in politics, or many have come over to the right.
- 4:11So they've got to figure out a way to make up those losses.
- 4:14And the way that they have decided to do that is through illegal immigration.
- 4:19And I've said this multiple times.
- 4:21I don't think it's necessarily that they intend to actually have these illegals vote, although they do in some cases, like Rockville, Maryland, which I'll get into in a little bit later.
- 4:32But fact is is that they see this as a major voting block.
- 4:39It's why they want chain migration, it's why they want uh massive numbers of people coming in from all over the world uh through refugee programs, even if they have nothing in common with Americans.
- 4:52It is why they have in every single blue state, they have passed laws to make it so that illegal aliens can get driver's licenses.
- 5:04It's also why they passed a bill prior to that that basically says that all drive all DMVs have to allow people to sign up to register to vote at the DMV.
- 5:16Look, folks, this is a plot.
- 5:20It is a conspiracy.
- 5:21It is not a conspiracy theory, this is a conspiracy fact in every single state that is uh that that basically has pushed mail and ballots and has pushed uh the allowance of people to use drop boxes.
- 5:40In fact, why would you create a law that says, hey, we're we're gonna make it easy for people, we're going to give send out mail and ballots across the board to everyone.
- 5:50We're going to allow ballot harvesting.
- 5:53We're going to allow people to put those ballots into a drop box.
- 5:57Oh, and by the way, we want to make clear that no one's allowed to put any camera up in the drop box area.
- 6:04I mean, this is literally laws that have been passed in multiple Democrat blue states across the country.
- 6:11It is clear they intend to cheat through illegal immigration.
- 6:17And I think a lot of that illegal immigration is basically used so that they have a pool of voters that they can use their names to commit fraud in our elections.
- 6:29Now, all of that aside, the uh town hall had put out an article which was really interesting because I think it speaks to what I was just talking about.
- 6:43And it's not just our legislators and Democrat legislators that are pushing this nonsense, but it's also judges.
- 6:52It's prosecutors, it's governors.
- 6:55It is all branches of government where the Democrats have any control at all.
- 7:00They are absolutely using it in every way possible to try and disrupt the next election and make it possible for them to cheat their way to a win.
- 7:12This article that was put out by Town Hall was talking about how a judge has blocked Trump's executive order requiring citizenship to vote.
- 7:21Think about that, folks.
- 7:23That should already be required.
- 7:26So a federal judge has permanently enjoined President Donald Trump's executive order that requires citizenship to vote.
- 7:32And uh, this was on uh January 30, 30th, uh, a an order from Judge Colleen Collar Coatley considered uh three lawsuits from the League of United Latin American citizens.
- 7:47I would say many of them not citizens.
- 7:49Uh the Democratic National Committee, so that's right there as the Democrats, and the League of Women Voters Education Fund versus Trump versus Trump and the Republican National Committee.
- 8:01So this is basically the Democrat National Committee suing Trump and the Republican National Committee.
- 8:07I mean, this is really what it's about.
- 8:08It is a political lawsuit.
- 8:10They are saying we absolutely do not want Trump enforcing or any, you know, any enforcement uh for them to be able to say you have to be a citizen to vote.
- 8:23And uh so the ruling reads in part that the court shall declare that two provisions of the executive order, both purporting to impose new requirements for verifying the U.S.
- 8:34citizenship of people registering to vote or applying to receive absentee ballots are inconsistent with the constitutional separation of powers and cannot lawfully be implemented.
- 8:45This is insane.
- 8:47This is absolutely a court basically saying, no, we we are gonna make sure that illegal aliens have a have a right to vote in this country.
- 8:59Uh I like basically what uh what uh Stephen Miller said.
- 9:04He said a Democrat judge says illegal aliens can vote as long as they check the box saying that they're American.
- 9:13It's absolutely crazy.
- 9:15Look, folks, this ruling, it follows Trump's administration's uh pursuing election integrity.
- 9:22Uh last week, the FBI, of course, executed a search warrant in Fulton County, Georgia related to the 2020 presidential election.
- 9:29And on April 1st, uh the Supreme Court is gonna hear a challenge on Trump's executive order that blocks birthright citizenship.
- 9:38All of this is absolutely important to the future of our country.
- 9:44We have to see this through.
- 9:46Uh, this, you know, and and also I would say another case that needs to be clarified is uh, you know, when it comes to how our census are done.
- 9:58You know, if they count illegal.
- 10:00Aliens in our census, then that is diluting the power of those who do have a right to vote, though those who are citizens, those who are here illegally being counted in the sense means that states like California, which have a lot of illegal aliens that they have anywhere from seven to nine additional uh elector votes, as well as uh they have additional um members of Congress.
- 10:25Now, here's the thing that's crazy.
- 10:27It's not just a matter of them having additional, but it means that states like mine, West Virginia.
- 10:33I am being disenfranchised because we only have two members of Congress and two uh electoral votes.
- 10:40But if those were removed, everything would be reportioned, and we would gain probably a couple of Congress members and a couple of uh uh electoral votes.
- 10:51So states like West Virginia and other smaller states are basically being disproportionately disenfranchised with the power that their states have.
- 11:01So this is something that needs to be taken care of.
- 11:04I think that this needs to go all the way to the Supreme Court.
- 11:06More importantly, Congress needs to act.
- 11:08They need to get off their butts and they need to vote on things like the Save Act, and they need to ensure that elections are free and fair.
- 11:17Well, that's all I have time for in this segment, but stick with us.
- 11:21We've got some great guests that are coming on the show, and uh, we're gonna continue this discussion on the issue of immigration and uh, you know, and border patrol, advice doing their work and doing the things that they need to do in blue states, as well as uh I've got a great guest coming on to talk about the state of politics within these blue states, uh a uh conservative Republican who is running uh for Congress in the state of Maryland.

- 14:42Welcome back to Unleash the Political News Hour.
- 14:44I hope you enjoyed that brief pause, but now for our second segment, it's my privilege to welcome Lieutenant Randy Sutton, retired, a truly distinguished figure in law enforcement community with more than 34 years of dedicated service, including time with the Princeton Borough Police Department and a highly decorated career with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
- 15:08Lieutenant Sutton brings unparalleled expertise and perspective to our discussion.
- 15:15He's also the founder of the Wounded Blue, an essential national organization dedicated to supporting injured and disabled law enforcement officers through resources advocacy and direct assistance.
- 15:26As chair of the board of directors, he continues to lead vital initiatives that honor those who have sacrificed so much for public safety.
- 15:35Beyond this service and uniform, uh Lieutenant Sutton is also a prolific author and recognized media presence, known as the voice of American law enforcement.
- 15:45Many of you may recall his prominent role on the hit television series Cops, which is one of my favorite shows to watch.
- 15:51So Lieutenant, thank you so much for being on the show.
- 15:55It is a pleasure.
- 15:56Thanks for having me.
- 15:57So, you know, there's so much that is happening right now in our country.
- 16:02And I think, you know, that there's something that I want to talk about.
- 16:06It's a controversial subject to get into, but I think it's one that's important.
- 16:10And uh in it's it's something that I think you, as an officer that served, you know, a whole career, you know, in this, I think, are probably better suited to talk about uh than most.
- 16:22And that is uh the shooting that occurred, uh, both the two shootings that have occurred, uh, officer-involved shootings up in um Minnesota.
- 16:31Uh, the one of the things that I'm hearing people talk about is, you know, should the you know, should should there be restrictions on the second amendment?
- 16:42Um, and and you know, you hear uh Cash Patel has talked about uh, you know, you know, you don't have a right to bring a gun to a protest.
- 16:50And and uh, of course, those that are our big time second amendment advocates, myself included, uh, would argue uh that is absolutely not true.
- 16:59Uh, you do have a right.
- 17:01On the other hand, I wouldn't say it's very smart.
- 17:03I'd say it's a pretty dumb thing to do.
- 17:06Um, but just to clear the air on this particular subject, um, you know, what are your thoughts on this and how, you know, and from the perspective of somebody who's a cop who's got to deal with disarming somebody who is armed, who's clearly involved in um, you know, in in assaulting an officer, which is what this guy was doing when he put his hands on another officer.
- 17:28What do you see is is the problem here in how do we solve this without restricting gun rights, but at the same time acknowledging the fact that cops have a very difficult job to do.
- 17:40Sure.
- 17:41So there's a lot to unpack with that question.
- 17:43First of all, I'm a huge believer in the second amendment as well.
- 17:47Um I uh as a retired law enforcement officer, I carry 24-7 under the HR 218 law, which allows retired uh officers and uh police officers to carry anywhere in the country.
- 18:00And I avail myself of that right because I know the realities of violence.
- 18:05Now, let's look at that this at the total picture was happening in minnow Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- 18:10Umprecedented stuff taking place here.
- 18:13We have we have literally a uh organized insurrection taking place.
- 18:17We have people that are being paid to be there.
- 18:20We have people that that are uh that have created um you know networks of intelligence that that are feeding these uh agitators, protesters, and insurgents.
- 18:32Uh this isn't this is not a uh this is not some uh you know uh grassroots kind of thing where oh, hey, let's let's make some signs and chant.
- 18:42This is violence at its at its very core.
- 18:45I was up there, I spent a week up there just uh two weeks ago.
- 18:49And the reason I went up there with a team from the wounded blue, which is my charity that helps injured and disabled officers is helped these officers deal with the traumatic stress that they are dealing with.
- 19:00Minneapolis police department is has been decimated by the politics.
- 19:05Uh they have uh about half of the people that that they need in order to police effectively.
- 19:10They have been told to stand down and not uh not assist ICE or or uh CVP in their duties, which is a huge mistake.
- 19:19Um the politics that have played a role here from Governor Walsh and Mayor Fry literally literally pouring gasoline on the flames of this situation.
- 19:32Yeah, that that's a good point.
- 19:33I want to just uh butt in for a minute here because that that right there, I think is key.
- 19:38Uh there is negligence on behalf of the government up there in regards to their response.
- 19:44We just had, I just read an article that we had 700 illegals picked up in West Virginia.
- 19:52Nobody even heard about it, nobody even knew it was happening.
- 19:55Why?
- 19:55Because we had the police cooperating with border patrol with ice.
- 20:00There was no need for them to be out in public in, you know, and and doing any basically they cooperated so that when these guys were in our jails, we were handing them over, you know, uh and following uh you know lawful detainers and all of that kind of stuff.
- 20:15So that can you explain that for people what the difference is, like in a place like West Virginia versus what's happening in Minnesota?
- 20:22Sure.
- 20:22So in the normal course of work, the uh for for this has been going on for decades now.
- 20:29Um the uh federal government has you know had immigration laws on the books since we had immigration and the removal of illegals, illegal aliens, especially criminal illegal aliens has been something that's been taking place for decades.
- 20:44Now, the way it usually works in the in uh when things are working the way they're supposed to is um an illegal alien will get picked up for say uh um you know sexual assault or whatever crime it is, they will be incarcerated uh in the county jail until their trial dates, and then if they go to trial, they'll be imprisoned in a state prison or federal prison, usually in this case would be a state prison.
- 21:08Now, when their sentence is up or they're due to be released, the federal government will um will file what's called a detainer, which is very self-explanatory, saying detain this individual and notify us 48 hours before you release him, so that if there is a legal action that we're going to take, like uh, you know, take him into custody and and move to deport him, they pick him up in in a very controlled environment, a very safe environment.
- 21:35Now, what the sanctuary cities have have done is take that protection away and and basically said we're not going to cooperate, we're not going to um even listen to those detainers, which to me uh is is a vial should be a violation of federal law.
- 21:51You the these laws are on the books for a reason.
- 21:53Yeah, how is that not a violent?
- 21:55I mean, it seems like insurrection right there.
- 21:58I don't understand how they how these sanctuary cities have gotten away with it, quite honestly.
- 22:03Um you know, because basically you're you're saying, hey, we we're gonna enforce laws, but we're not gonna force a law that we don't that we just don't like because of the politics of it.
- 22:13So what they're doing is instead of notifying ice, they just release them.
- 22:18They release these people, and many of these are predators.
- 22:21You know, he we have seen a massive decrease in violent crime um since Donald Trump took office.
- 22:29Well, some of that, and I'm gonna say probably a big piece of that, is because he has removed many of the predators that have that are that are constantly in the criminal justice system.
- 22:40You know, any any uh I was a cop for 34 years, and I I've I've I've been around the block a couple times.
- 22:47Any police officer who has been around understands that there's a very small percentage of people who are true predators, these are the people who are constantly committing violent acts.
- 22:58When you incarcerate them or you remove them, then crime goes down.
- 23:04So what has taken place here is they uh under the Trump administration, predators have been re-reduced because they're getting rid of them.
- 23:14There they are, they they have uh they have uh deported a ton of criminal predators.
- 23:22Now, when you look at the situation and you it defies common sense, it defies irrational rationality.
- 23:30Why on earth, if you're the governor or you're the mayor of a city or a state, why in God's name would you want to release criminal predators into your population?
- 23:41It it is it's counterproductive, counterintuitive, it doesn't make any sense at all, but it shows the irrationality of the way the left thinks that they are willing to um not only allow but encourage violent predators to be released.
- 23:59Yeah, they're sacrificing the safety of their own citizens to make a political point.
- 24:04That's really what it boils down to.
- 24:05Exactly right.
- 24:06So now you have it, you have a system that that is broken because of the the politics.
- 24:12So federal government is not, especially under the Donald Trump administration, is not going to back down when it comes down to removal of illegal aliens.
- 24:22Now, they were concentrating on the criminal illegal aliens, but um once they have once they they have you know uh created that red line in the sand where they're not going to cooperate at all with ICE and allow these predators to go back on the street.
- 24:39Now ICE has to go search for them.
- 24:42And this is very, very dangerous because first of all, they're criminals, they don't want to go back to jail, they don't want to be removed from the country.
- 24:50And when when you release them into their own neighborhoods, they have an advantage.
- 24:56They have protections from people around them.
- 24:58They have they they have the home ground, if you will.
- 25:01And now uh the federal government has to find these individuals and then take them into custody in an uncontrolled environment, which makes it dangerous for everyone, including the suspect, by the way.
- 25:13They have a whole lot higher incidence of getting hurt or getting killed when they're resisting arrest in their own environments rather than in the controlled environment of the county or city jail.
- 25:24So um this has been this has been created.
- 25:27This environment has been created.
- 25:29Then add to that the removal of local law enforcement to play a role in when when there are ICE operations to provide protection for those officers.
- 25:42Remember, it's one team out there, right?
- 25:44You're whether you're a federal law enforcement, your city or state, we're supposed to be a team.
- 25:49Well, if you have politics at play here saying we're not cooperating, then what happens?
- 25:55They have to draw from all kinds of federal agencies, border patrol, federal bureau of investigation, DEI, DEA, and they and they this huge amalgamum of federal agents now descend upon Minneapolis in order to try and and uh effectively uh detain people and arrest them.
- 26:17And once you have that environment without police protection, we have border, believe me, border patrol, they do a fantastic job.
- 26:25They are not local police officers, they are not trained in in mobile field force stuff unless they are specifically given that that of that training.
- 26:35So you have them thrust into this environment.
- 26:39And now at the same time, you have um a large insurgency, which is organized and funded, and you have violent people who are ready to take these literally create martyrs out of themselves.
- 26:52Yeah.
- 26:52Um it reminds me of Hamas, quite honestly, you know, using, yeah, and and then so you have the professional advocators, then you have the useful idiots, those who have decided that this is this is where they're gonna hang their hat on on this uh on this issue, and they're they're you watch the madness in their eyes.
- 27:11They act irrational and and mob mentality becomes a real deal.
- 27:16Mob mentality is the scariest thing to a cop ever.
- 27:20It is uh you you watch people who uh you know normally would never ever think of how about biting off the finger of a of a of a customs officer, okay?
- 27:29Yeah, right.
- 27:30Do you think that individual who did that?
- 27:32Anyone their neighbors would have said, oh, yeah, this guy's capable of biting the finger off another human being.
- 27:38But people act in the weirdest, most destructive ways.
- 27:42And just like this guy Predi, you know, he armed himself.
- 27:46He made a conscious decision.
- 27:47He'd already had previous for um attacking uh the federal officers.
- 27:52And unfortunately, because normally in an environment uh where you attack a federal officer, you're going to jail.
- 27:58That's right.
- 27:59What's happening there is they're doing push and shoves and knocking people down and not taking them to jail because they don't have the resources and they don't have the help from the local government.
- 28:08So because he this guy pretty wasn't put in jail the last time he assaulted an officer, he's now out, he's a bolden for even more, arms himself and confronts federal officers, which is by the way, commission of a crime.
- 28:20And he's armed while doing it.
- 28:22Um he should have gone to jail.
- 28:23Unfortunately, we we and and I watched the video tape several times.
- 28:27Uh, I can't tell what happened.
- 28:29And that's why um both sides should just shut the hell up until an investigation is.
- 28:33That's a very good point.
- 28:34Well, what happens from a um from a law enforcement standpoint, when there's an officer involved shooting, what what is the process that happens you know afterwards?
- 28:45Uh what's typically done?
- 28:47What is every law enforcement agency has its own policies and procedures.
- 28:52Um with uh with a local police agency, um depending on what jurisdiction it is, there will be um uh an appropriate authority that says, okay, we are going to be the shooting team here.
- 29:06We're gonna take over this investigation, whether it's a district attorney's office, it may be uh use of force um, you know, a board that that comes in from the outside or could be internal, and everybody has their own different policies and procedures.
- 29:19So in in the case of of ICE and border patrol, depending on which I don't know um which agency the uh the shooter or shooters uh worked for.
- 29:29They may have been from multiple agencies, they have to make a determination of who is going to be doing the investigation.
- 29:36There will be two prongs to it.
- 29:37Did this follow procedure of those agencies and did it follow policy?
- 29:43And uh did it meet the requirements necessary for a legal justification of deadly force.
- 29:50And these are these are not easy um questions to answer because you have you have a a set of circumstances here that is really unparalleled.
- 29:59We've never
- 30:00Ever seen this type of of uh you know wholesale attacks on law enforcement before.
- 30:06So they have to make all of these determinations.
- 30:09And I believe that they just made a determination that the FBI was going to be the lead investigative agency on this shooting, which is very good because they have the resources, the knowledge and the expertise.
- 30:20Now, in the case of uh, let's say that they they determined that um uh this was a bad shooting.
- 30:26Um, but you know, obviously this this officer, you know did not go in there with any intent to you know to kill anybody.
- 30:35Um what what happens in that case?
- 30:37What would you I'm I'm glad you asked that because remember what would happen right after these both these shootings uh of of good and also this uh pretty um the mayor and the governor immediately declared this a murder.
- 30:51You'll you right and now and and Llison, Keith Ellison, who is just uh a soup sandwich, um bag he's he is uh uh demanding and the and the walls is demanding that they have a role in the to investigate this shooting because they want to prosecute the officer.
- 31:12So this is another incidence that's we've never we've never seen a precedent of where we actually have a state that wants to prosecute federal police officers, federal law enforcement officers.
- 31:23Um and so they and they and they they're crowing about you know not having access.
- 31:28But you can't give them access.
- 31:30They've already they've already shown that they have you you can't you can't um have a uh an agency do an investigation where they've already made a determination in public.
- 31:43So it's outrageous that they're demanding it.
- 31:46Yeah, not only that, but let's let's be clear, they made it clear that they want nothing to do with what the federal government is doing.
- 31:52So how would they have any jurisdiction?
- 31:53Now, if they had if they had cooperated, then uh then they would have had their officers making the arrests or turning over these people when they were in prison, creating a much safer situation.
- 32:05Um, but because of their own uh, you know, their own policies, they they created this mess.
- 32:11Exactly.
- 32:12So, you know, they're they're demanding now.
- 32:14In I have worked task forces where the federal government, I've worked with FBI, DEA, um, other U.S.
- 32:21Marshals.
- 32:22It's not uh it's it's commonplace, right?
- 32:25And then when a use of force does happen, like a shooting, um, there are concurrent investigations.
- 32:30The you know, the the agency uh that that would have the local um jurisdiction would would do an investigation as well as whatever agency the the agent was with that that you that actually committed the use of force.
- 32:45So um in the in the best of times, it it it it is legitimate to have a concurrent investigation.
- 32:52It's impossible to have that because they because the the they are not impartial and um with the state of of uh of Minnesota.
- 33:01So that that's what's that's what's causing all this consternation is there's no the the jurisdictions um we we just see we see a an absolute bias towards the federal government.
- 33:15Last question because I'm almost out of time, but I I do want to ask, and I realize this is a little bit of uh you know, armchair uh you know analysis, but in your professional opinion with the background that you have, what should be the next step to try and continue to do the job of removing these people, but at the same time de-escalate the situation.
- 33:36Well, what what options uh does uh ice have in this regards?
- 33:41Well, I think that that what is uh taking place now with uh with Tom Homan being there, I think they're going to um back off on some of this the street level stuff where they're looking just for you know the sweeps, if you will.
- 33:54That has caused a problem.
- 33:56Um I'm not really a believer in that type of environment.
- 33:59Um target the people, target those who the worst for the worst and get them off the street, take them to jail.
- 34:05Um this other uh avenue of of their response with sweeping people up.
- 34:11I think it just causes problems.
- 34:13I don't think that it it is, I think it's counterproductive to what the goals are of this administration.
- 34:19Yeah, I think you're I think you're right.
- 34:21Well, I want to thank you so much for being on here to give us your insights.
- 34:25Uh, I think there's a lot there, you know, to to really analyze and go through.
- 34:29And uh it is a tough job uh being a cop.

- 37:17It is my distinct pleasure to welcome Bernie Flowers to the program.
- 37:22Lieutenant Colonel Flowers retired, a decorated U.S.
- 37:26Air Force veteran with nearly 21 years of active duty service, including deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Ukraine brings a unique perspective shaped by extensive military experience, subsequent roles in cybersecurity.
- 37:41That's my you know area of expertise as well.
- 37:44And more than anything, Bernie's a good friend of mine.
- 37:46You know, I've had him on the show a number of times.
- 37:48And so Bernie, I want to thank you for coming on the show.
- 37:52I know uh you're very busy these days running for office as a candidate for uh Maryland's third congressional district.
- 37:59And uh, but I'm really excited to talk to you because there's so many things that are happening in states like yours, blue states that are problematic, and and I want to get into that with you.
- 38:12Nate, it's good to hear from you, brother.
- 38:14It's always a pleasure to spend time.
- 38:16I have to apologize to you.
- 38:17I've been running too hard, my voice is not what it should be.
- 38:20But if you'll let me talk, I'll do my best.
- 38:23Yeah, absolutely.
- 38:25So, you know, you live in Maryland.
- 38:28Um, I I used to live in Maryland, and I'm glad not to.
- 38:32But it maybe if I had somebody representing me like you, uh, I I would definitely um, you know, would have would have stayed.
- 38:40But the big problem that I see in Maryland, and and I I want to get your thoughts on this.
- 38:46You know, Maryland is a blue state, is typical of Democrat-run states.
- 38:50Uh, they've got multiple issues with sanctuary cities, and my last guest, uh, you know, we got into that quite a bit about these policies.
- 38:58Um, I remember it was you know years ago uh that uh Rockville, uh Maryland was like allowing illegal, like boldly allowing illegal aliens to vote in their um in their uh municipal elections, which is tantamount to you know, basically setting things up for illegals voting in regular elections uh or you know, presidential elections.
- 39:21So it it is a problem.
- 39:23I remember, you know, there was multiple issues with um, you know, with with various illegal gangs that are are made up of uh you know El Salvadorans and Venezuelans, uh whether it is the Trend de Aragua or whether it's the MS 13.
- 39:41There's just been horror story after horror story of people being murdered and dismembered and all kinds of things due to these illegal.
- 39:50So what tell me what what in the world is going on with these democrats and why they would want to allow this stuff to go on in their states?
- 40:00Nate, I tell you the truth.
- 40:02There's some kind of mine virus.
- 40:04I don't get it.
- 40:05Um, I live in a blue sanctuary city.
- 40:10Um, this whole urban area is blue, and you lived in Maryland for a long time.
- 40:15So you understand that once you get out of the urban areas, you might as well be in West Virginia.
- 40:20Yeah, where my people, that's that's how I think.
- 40:23But yeah, man, it's crazy.
- 40:26Um Rockville, what they call um PG County, or they call Montgomery County, um, Baltimore City.
- 40:35There's a corridor of crazy.
- 40:38And um, I don't live in any of those places, so I'm gonna talk about them.
- 40:41But yeah, you're right.
- 40:43Um, there's um foreign gang members wandering around.
- 40:47I happen to have some access to law enforcement officials, and they tell me all kinds of things that don't make the news.
- 40:53I don't want to get into that right now, but yes, you are right.
- 40:56Um these um Trend Aragua, these uh gang members, they operate as if they're still in Central America and they operate, they plague their own people.
- 41:08Yeah, that's terrible.
- 41:10It so let me ask you something.
- 41:12For somebody that's on the ground, I know you you're out there knocking on doors, talking to people, you know, making connections.
- 41:19What is the average citizen of Maryland think about this?
- 41:23What what are their thoughts about all of the illegal migrants and particular?
- 41:28I think most people don't really care one way or the other about you know, some guy who's running a you know, a a uh uh a small business or something like that.
- 41:36But what they care about is the fact that you got criminal aliens who are doing dangerous things who are creating a threat to public safety.
- 41:43What are you what are your thoughts?
- 41:44What are what are people telling you?
- 41:46It just depends on where you are, where you are.
- 41:48Matter of fact, on Saturday, I had an event at the uh local American Legion with a bunch of um libertarian guys, and we hit it all famously.
- 41:59They're regular people, they're property owners.
- 42:02Um, they want law and order, they support, they back the blue.
- 42:06Um, you go into Carroll County, anywhere northwest of Baltimore, um you're talking about regular American values for America first type folks, and even so, um inside the cities.
- 42:22It just depends on where you are.
- 42:25I mean, most of the people I talk to as a Republican, as a conservative, they're back in the blue.
- 42:31They're can they're looking for positive, you know, things from the government, but there is that element of blue nutcasery.
- 42:41I don't understand it.
- 42:42And they seem to have control of this state, and this is a one-party state in the sense that you know, you look at the legislature, the Republicans have literally no power, none whatsoever.
- 42:54So we're running around here uh yelling and screaming and jumping up and down and trying to fight for our rights, but you know, we're following rules, and a lot of these people don't believe in following rules, and it just seems very, very strange to me.
- 43:08That's why I call it a mine virus.
- 43:10Uh you know, speaking of power and and the way that that state is ran.
- 43:16Let's talk about uh redistricting and gerrymandering.
- 43:21Uh, you know, of course, Maryland is has has had some very famous cases, uh, cases where you know the Republicans won.
- 43:30Uh, and yet it seems like we've not been able to get uh, you know, the the state's lines redrawn in a way that is appropriate.
- 43:41Um what's going on with that?
- 43:42I haven't been following that very much lately, but of course, when I was living there, I was following it all the time, and it just seemed ridiculous that even though I lived up in up in uh you know, Frederick, Maryland area, uh, that my vote was basically being diluted uh by people down in uh uh Montgomery County, which is just ridiculous.
- 44:04It was like there's this long thin line all the way down there, just so they could group in a bunch of Republican or a bunch of Democrats and to water down the uh you know, the the Republican vote.
- 44:14What has changed and and what is still the same?
- 44:16Well, let's go back to 2022 when I first got out and first left the federal government.
- 44:22I was so angry.
- 44:23And Dutch Rupertsberger was the Congressman in what they called district three at the time.
- 44:29And um, so I'm going after this guy because we both know Dutch was he has his issues.
- 44:35So um the federal government stepped in and said that the redistrict that the districts were totally unfair and changed the districts.
- 44:45And next thing you know, I'm running for Congress out in Carroll County, 50 miles away from where I live in in uh Columbia.
- 44:53So we got through that.
- 44:54The federal government stepped in, all right.
- 44:56We go through another election, and now here we are at the third and going for 2026.
- 45:01And what does the local legislature want to do?
- 45:04They want to redistrict again, not totally flaunting federal rules.
- 45:10And you know, to give an example of how um clandestine, that's a good word this is.
- 45:18You know, we just had a major snowstorm.
- 45:21Last Monday, we got the worst snow/slash ice storm I've seen here in a long time.
- 45:27That's when the Democrat establishment decided to hold their vote for you know, the delegates to vote for or against redistricting.
- 45:36So nobody knew what was going on.
- 45:37We're in the middle of trying to clear our driveways and all that sort of stuff.
- 45:40Yeah, a lot of people testified and all that sort of stuff, but they did everything they could to hold a kind of a closed door session.
- 45:48Uh you don't do that while you have a snow emergency going on and people can't go to work.
- 45:54But the delegates did that, and so we don't know all the details of what came out of it, but they're from what I understand, they're doing the very, very same thing.
- 46:03They're trying to ace out Andy Harris, who is our district one congressman and the only congressional Republican that we have in Maryland.
- 46:11Not good, totally unfair.
- 46:13I'm not gonna sit back here and whine about it.
- 46:16It is what it is.
- 46:17But um, I don't understand what they're thinking because what's gonna happen is at some point the federal government's gonna step in, the Justice Department and say what you guys have done is unfair, and they'll reverse the whole decision.
- 46:30Crazy.
- 46:31Yeah, it is.
- 46:32It really is a shame too, because look, um, I'm perfectly fine with uh, you know, if people want to vote Democrat and they want Democrat policies, then fine.
- 46:41Uh go for it.
- 46:42But don't uh you know this gerrymandering issue is a real problem because what it does is it disenfranchises those uh who have a you know common viewpoint, um, you know, or who have want and have needs that may be different, right?
- 46:56You know, especially like rural counties and stuff like that, they've got completely different needs than those that you know that are in the inner city and that sort of thing.
- 47:03So when they do things like that, like the way they used to have it, uh, you know, I guess they have changed it a little bit, so it's it's a lot better now than it used to be, but but it it's still um, you know, like they're driving, you know.
- 47:16I think like your second district, you know, is driven all the way to the you know to the uh the bay.
- 47:21Yeah, was it covering you know uh Carroll County and and uh Baltimore County.
- 47:26So those people have nothing to do with each other.
- 47:28I mean, you know, you live out there, you know how folks are in Carroll County, and you know how to fire.
- 47:33So you've neglected negated the vote of both of them.
- 47:35That's right.
- 47:36Carroll County and and Frederick County are probably very similar in in their you know, their attitudes and and and their their needs and even the the ruralness of those communities.
- 47:45So to split it, right?
- 47:48It is 100% a ploy by the Democrats to water down the conservative vote.
- 47:55And that's and and they've done it successfully so much so you know people don't realize that that Maryland at one point was a Republican state.
- 48:04Yeah, and and it's crazy to even you wouldn't even know it now.
- 48:08Um, because you got these, you know, these crazy guys like uh Jamie Raskin and uh what's the other guy up there who who went down to uh you guys have what's his name?
- 48:17Christopher Um, I can't remember.
- 48:20Is it he's one?
- 48:20I think it's one of your senators.
- 48:22Is it Van Holland?
- 48:23Oh, Van Holland.
- 48:23Oh yeah, that this is a great old varcia, whatever that dude.
- 48:27Yeah, yeah.
- 48:27The guy goes down there to, you know, to go uh, you know, basically meet what he he cares more about illegal aliens than he does about his own people.
- 48:36That's what disgusts me about these people, uh, these democrats who have been running the state of Maryland.
- 48:44It's absolutely insane.
- 48:46And I don't understand how people don't see that.
- 48:49You know, most people are apathetic when it comes to politics and still until um their power bill starts going over, but still it starts affecting them in the wallet.
- 49:00And again, forgive me for my voice.
- 49:02I've spent too much time out chauvin and snow and ice, man.
- 49:05It is crazy.
- 49:06And I'm pretty sure it's the same way where you are.
- 49:09Yeah, man.
- 49:10Um, it's absolutely insane what uh Van Holland and that crew.
- 49:15We are a state run by it's a one party state.
- 49:19And um, you know, there's there's rumors, rumors that Venezuela, you know, you're gonna find out that there's been money transferred from you know all over the world into these areas to make sure Act Blue has the money to do the dare dastardly things that they do.
- 49:37So you know, it's a whole nother area that is just completely corrupt, is the way that money see, listen, folks.
- 49:44Here's the thing, and and actually I can speak to this too because I I ran for Congress the last uh election.
- 49:49Um, and and here's what I discovered.
- 49:51Dark money makes its way into politics, and the reality is nobody knows where that money's coming from.
- 49:59You know,
- 50:00It can come from an LLC.
- 50:01It can come from a uh an organization.
- 50:04It can come from the bottom line is the way the rules are written is that when money is spent on advertising, even for a candidate, and this was, you know, this was thanks to uh a terrible decision.
- 50:18Um, you know, I believe by the Supreme Court that honestly I think needs to be reversed, which is the uh uh US versus uh Citizens United.
- 50:28And what it allowed for was that it allowed corporations to be treated as if they were citizens of the United States.
- 50:35And so therefore they have the you know the right to free speech, which means that any corporation can spend whatever money they want uh uh on advertising to to support a candidate.
- 50:45Here's the problem with that.
- 50:47They're not covered by FEC election laws.
- 50:51So they're covered by the IRS.
- 50:54So that means that nothing that they spend is public.
- 50:58It's not a matter of public record.
- 51:00Whereas, like if I donate, you know, to your campaign or somebody donates to your campaign, all of that is public record.
- 51:07Uh, you know, even even the PACs, right?
- 51:09Uh, you know, they they have some level of of FEC uh, you know, uh basically oversight.
- 51:16But these this dark money issue, it really is a problem because the Chinese government, the Venezuelan government could be putting money into elections through corporations or through all they need is an LLC.
- 51:29That's it.
- 51:29They just need an LLC, or it could be a uh a 501c for three or four, yeah.
- 51:36Um and they can donate up to half of their funds towards you know, they can use it on political advertising, and and it does not have any oversight by the FEC.
- 51:45Uh it is it is absolutely a national security issue, and honestly, um, but it's going to take Congress to fix it.
- 51:53Uh, and and the fact is is that most of them don't want to because it's a it's a a way for them to solicit massive amount of funds uh towards political advertising, which is of course extremely expensive.
- 52:06Oh, yeah.
- 52:07You get all these organizations like APAC and um Act Blue and this, that, and the other, and they're basically running around with impunity.
- 52:16Uh it's terrible that our system is like this, but we're gonna have to elect some good people to fix it.
- 52:22That's the only way.
- 52:24Yeah, absolutely.
- 52:25You know, with your background, I'm curious.
- 52:27Uh, I wanted to get your thoughts real quickly on the state of our military.
- 52:31Uh, you know, we've had some uh just amazing things that have happened, you know, with under Pete Heggseth.
- 52:37Uh, it seems like you know, our military's the you know, of course, no longer called the Department of Defense now called the Department of War.
- 52:44Um, and and I don't think that's just a symbolic measure.
- 52:47I think it actually is really showing a tide shift in the way that our military is operating uh and you know, exemplified by this operation down there to capture Maduro.
- 52:57What are your thoughts on uh what are you hearing from your friends and uh uh people that you still are connected with in the military?
- 53:04You probably know some of them.
- 53:06I'm sure we I'm sure we have we we do have a lot of the same friends.
- 53:09Yes, we do.
- 53:10But the bottom line is I am absolutely thrilled.
- 53:13The um recruiting is up.
- 53:16Um we've had these capabilities for a long time, but um one of the things that the president has done is cleaned out all the dead weight.
- 53:25We're not in the business, and I'm glad you changed the name to Department of War.
- 53:28Um, it was once the Department of War many, many years ago when we first started out, started this country.
- 53:34We but the issue of the day is that we should be in the business.
- 53:38We need to understand it.
- 53:40We're in the business and make it war.
- 53:41And we went down to Venezuela.
- 53:43We did what needed to be done with a minimal loss of life, and it was literal surgical uh perfection.
- 53:50And I'm just so proud to be involved in that.
- 53:52But the the attitude, the the ethos is back now.
- 53:59People want to join the military.
- 54:00You know, the bottom line is I'm just thrilled, and and I look and I look for great things.
- 54:05We should be not in the business of involving ourselves in long-term conflicts.
- 54:10We need to protect this hemisphere.
- 54:12We need to protect America and what they've done down on the border as well, working with customs and border patrol.
- 54:18You know, remember, I got a long history with Northcom, and that involves, you know, the military and the guard and reserve.
- 54:24So things are working in that sphere the way it's supposed to, and I couldn't be happier.
- 54:29Oh, absolutely.
- 54:30And uh, you know, I feel like uh there's you know, when you think about readiness and the the most important thing that we can do is to deter our enemies from getting us into a war in the first place.
- 54:45And Trump has done everything, I think, uh, to ensure that, right?
- 54:50And it even so much as like sometimes people don't understand why he does what he does.
- 54:54Uh people, you know, a lot of people complain, well, you know, why did he allow Maduro's uh you know vice president to stay in power?
- 55:01Because it it wasn't about regime change.
- 55:03It was about getting this criminal uh and sending a message to the whole world that hey, you know, you better not F around, or you're gonna find out that we will have our special forces operators in your bedroom, you know, and that we hours of the morning collecting you.
- 55:18So you know, people don't seem to understand they were conducting war by other means against us absolutely asymmetric, yep.
- 55:25Yeah.
- 55:26Hundreds of thousands of people a year dying from fentanyl, hundreds of thousands of people a year dying from drugs.
- 55:32Um, and they were part of the um machine, and the Chinese were helping them.
- 55:38Let's just face it.
- 55:39So um that's stopping the borders closed.
- 55:42Um, we're doing things the way they need to be done.
- 55:44There's a lot more work that needs to be done, but I am just thrilled.
- 55:48Yeah, thrilled with the progress.
- 55:49And those recruitment numbers being up, let's face it, uh, that ultimately that tells you the morale levels in the military.
- 55:57You know, before uh they were having trouble meeting uh none of the services, you know, we're able to even meet recruitment numbers.
- 56:04I think the marine corps was the only one that even came close.
