Aired: Apr 10th, 1949. Jack's big night out with Mary hits the usual snags — Rochester nicks him with the razor, Phil Harris shows off a locket with a surprise photo inside, and Mary's hairdresser dishes out some very Benny-esque bargain-hunting wisdom about sandpapered theater benches. Things get even funnier when glamorous guest star Barbara Stanwyck phones in to invite herself along to the cameo theater's fifteen-cent showing. Vintage ensemble comedy at its sharpest, with Jack's legendary cheapness driving every gag.
