- 0:00Speaker 1: In just a little bit. We want to get into
- 0:02Speaker 1: if you know any murderers.
- 0:04Speaker 2: I know that sounds weird, but there's a reason, because
- 0:07Speaker 2: someone on the show knows a murderer. We'll get into
- 0:10Speaker 2: that after Tam and POLLA.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Larger cular.
- 0:15Speaker 4: Is vtecular.
- 0:19Speaker 2: So I'm watching a Little House of the Prairie on Netflix, right.
- 0:23Speaker 2: I really like it. I think I had an episode
- 0:25Speaker 2: or two episodes left, and I was gonna watch another
- 0:29Speaker 2: episode yesterday. But Lord and behold, when I turned on
- 0:33Speaker 2: the TV, I see that there's a Hot One special
- 0:35Speaker 2: with Will Ferrell on Netflix. Oh it's twenty minutes long.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I watched the whole thing, and I realized after watching it,
- 0:42Speaker 2: I've never seen a full Hot Ones episode. I don't
- 0:45Speaker 2: even really, I don't think I've seen more than just
- 0:46Speaker 2: a certain clips of Hot Ones. And that's the show
- 0:48Speaker 2: on YouTube where they eat the chicken wings and they
- 0:51Speaker 2: get hotter and hotter and hotter.
- 0:52Speaker 3: You guys have seen the full episode since Yes, I
- 0:55Speaker 3: love Hot Ones.
- 0:56Speaker 4: It's so funny.
- 0:57Speaker 1: So it's Will fair and he's promoting the movie that
- 0:59Speaker 1: comes out tomorrow. I think, right, isn't a movie. I
- 1:03Speaker 1: don't know, but whatever it comes out tomorrow, the golf one.
- 1:06Speaker 2: So it's it's one of those episodes where I caught
- 1:10Speaker 2: myself smiling a lot and I couldn't and I couldn't
- 1:13Speaker 2: believe it. I thought, I couldn't believe that I was
- 1:15Speaker 2: enjoying this so much and enjoying Will Ferrell. He doesn't
- 1:19Speaker 2: do anything crazy, but because his face is burning, you
- 1:24Speaker 2: see the real Will Ferrell.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean?
- 1:25Speaker 2: Because every time we've ever seen him, he's in a
- 1:27Speaker 2: character or he play, he's being interviewed, and he knows it.
- 1:29Speaker 2: But because his face is burning, you see real him.
- 1:33Speaker 2: And I really enjoyed that.
- 1:34Speaker 4: That's pretty.
- 1:34Speaker 2: So it's like I'm telling you to go watch it.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Don't expect to be laughing out loud and whatever, but
- 1:38Speaker 2: just expect to be completely entertained and see him as
- 1:41Speaker 2: a real person, because you could also see him as
- 1:44Speaker 2: a dad be worried about certain things that are going
- 1:46Speaker 2: on behind the scenes. But in the beginning, I was like,
- 1:48Speaker 2: I could do that, But towards the end, I'm like,
- 1:50Speaker 2: I would never ever ever.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Did he ever?
- 1:52Speaker 3: Did?
- 1:52Speaker 4: He go pretty deep into the into the hot sauce.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Well, they go I've never seen the show before.
- 1:56Speaker 2: They did they did there was it was on a
- 1:58Speaker 2: baseball field because it was at the.
- 2:01Speaker 1: All Star Game.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Okay, but they tightened golf so they were on a
- 2:06Speaker 2: baseball field talking about the golf movie. So they did
- 2:09Speaker 2: nine night instead of nine innings nine levels of chicken wings.
- 2:12Speaker 2: So I don't know how they always do it. It
- 2:14Speaker 2: was the only time I ever seen it. But anyway,
- 2:16Speaker 2: it's on Netflix, and I recommend it if you're a
- 2:17Speaker 2: Will Ferrell fan. It's a bummer about the two other
- 2:20Speaker 2: people because he did it with the two other cast members,
- 2:22Speaker 2: one earning his fortune. I've seen her before. She's funny,
- 2:24Speaker 2: and the other guy on there, I didn't know who
- 2:26Speaker 2: he was. The fact, at the very end, Will Ferrell
- 2:27Speaker 2: gets his name wrong.
- 2:29Speaker 4: He's one of the co stars of the movie Sauce.
- 2:35Speaker 2: So Noah Lashley, who's on the show, works in the background,
- 2:38Speaker 2: you know, very connected to the West Valley, like he
- 2:41Speaker 2: will go to the opening of a bridge, he goes
- 2:43Speaker 2: to you know, those type of things. Whatever is going on, right,
- 2:46Speaker 2: he is mister West Valley. And he came in this
- 2:49Speaker 2: morning and was asking me if I heard this news story,
- 2:52Speaker 2: and I didn't know the news story. And now guess
- 2:55Speaker 2: what It's on every single post on my Instagram, and
- 2:57Speaker 2: it's all I see it on the news on the
- 2:58Speaker 2: TV behind us. But Noah knows a murderer. This story
- 3:02Speaker 2: is happening right now.
- 3:04Speaker 5: A Glendale woman was found buried in a remote part
- 3:07Speaker 5: of the Arizona Desert after a date with a man
- 3:10Speaker 5: she met online. Glendale police identify that woman as twenty
- 3:14Speaker 5: one year old Arianna Jones. According to court records, twenty
- 3:18Speaker 5: four year old Dominic Rodoalko picked Jones up from her
- 3:21Speaker 5: apartment in Glendale on July fifth. The pair went to
- 3:25Speaker 5: a movie together at a theater off of I seventeen
- 3:27Speaker 5: and Happy Valley Road. After the movie, cell phone data
- 3:30Speaker 5: and video surveillance tracked them to a remote desert area.
- 3:35Speaker 5: Investigators searched that area after Jones was reported missing days
- 3:39Speaker 5: later and found a shallow grave with human remains. There
- 3:42Speaker 5: were also other items, including a movie theater cup. Rodalico
- 3:46Speaker 5: was allegedly seen on surveillance cleaning his car. He told
- 3:49Speaker 5: police the pair were attacked by two men. He was
- 3:52Speaker 5: able to get away, but she wasn't. Please say he
- 3:54Speaker 5: never reported that attack to them. They have sufficient evidence
- 3:58Speaker 5: to believe he was allegedly in.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Crazy, Right, that's crazy. So Noah, how do you know
- 4:04Speaker 1: this murderer?
- 4:06Speaker 6: So it turns out I went to middle school with
- 4:09Speaker 6: Dominic and that is the second incident in five years
- 4:13Speaker 6: involving someone I went to middle school with that I
- 4:15Speaker 6: have heard done something.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Very very bad. What was the other one?
- 4:19Speaker 6: A guy went on a shooting spree all around the
- 4:22Speaker 6: West Valley, drove up and down the freeways, up and
- 4:24Speaker 6: down the roads, just shooting at cars. One person died,
- 4:26Speaker 6: thirteen people were hurt. I was on vacation, but I
- 4:29Speaker 6: would have been driving around doing instacart that day the
- 4:32Speaker 6: summer before I started working here at the radio station.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Oh, victim, So now you're get to tie it in
- 4:37Speaker 2: like those people to go. I was in New York
- 4:38Speaker 2: on nine eleven.
- 4:39Speaker 4: That could have been me.
- 4:40Speaker 1: That could have been me. You're like, I was. I drive.
- 4:42Speaker 6: My parents came to pick me up from the airport
- 4:44Speaker 6: that day and they were like, thank god you weren't here,
- 4:47Speaker 6: And I was like, why what happened? And then the
- 4:48Speaker 6: next day I found out who was from the mugshot
- 4:51Speaker 6: and was shocked. And then the same thing happened here.
- 4:53Speaker 6: I heard about the news story, saw the mugshot and
- 4:55Speaker 6: was like, oh.
- 4:56Speaker 2: My god, So the guy that you went to middle
- 4:59Speaker 2: school with, it's the murderer right now, Dominic, Like, if
- 5:02Speaker 2: he saw you'd be like, no, I mean probably not.
- 5:05Speaker 6: I look a lot different than I did back then.
- 5:06Speaker 1: And we haven't. I knew you when you were thirteen.
- 5:12Speaker 2: He dresses the same, you have a little less facial
- 5:15Speaker 2: hair now than you did at thirteen.
- 5:18Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean he was like a super kind kid
- 5:22Speaker 6: back then. But you know, we all go down different paths.
- 5:25Speaker 6: That's just that's sad to hear that.
- 5:27Speaker 1: It's crazy. It's just nuts.
- 5:29Speaker 2: So he's he's like it's happening, Like they caught him
- 5:31Speaker 2: like yesterday, right Like it's like he's going to court,
- 5:33Speaker 2: Like this is all the beginning.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Possisbly know, other suspects. If he didn't really if he
- 5:37Speaker 4: said that she didn't get away, she was murdered and
- 5:39Speaker 4: he didn't report that to the police.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so sad.
- 5:42Speaker 4: That's his story. He's in big trouble.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Pray for the family. So sad.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Also, like the guy was like, gotta bury this movie
- 5:48Speaker 2: cup the I'm weird man.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Also, don't ever go in first dates. I think it's
- 5:53Speaker 4: probably another lesson too. I do also think it is
- 5:55Speaker 4: a good PSA to be really careful when you are
- 5:58Speaker 4: online dating like always have you never know with your
- 6:00Speaker 4: location and always have like a pan just in care
- 6:02Speaker 4: and you feel like a movie would be one of
- 6:04Speaker 4: the safest places you could go on a first stage.
- 6:06Speaker 1: What movie it was? You just didn't like the movie?
- 6:09Speaker 1: Why'd you pick this movie? Peyton? You said you know
- 6:12Speaker 1: a murder or too.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I don't necessarily know a murderer. My I
- 6:16Speaker 3: feel like I'm one degree away though. My memme, my
- 6:20Speaker 3: grandma who I currently live with, her childhood best friend
- 6:25Speaker 3: growing up. Her older sister was Leslie van Houton from
- 6:29Speaker 3: the Manson Murders.
- 6:30Speaker 1: In the Manson Murder family, But who is Lesie van Hooton.
- 6:32Speaker 3: She was one of the women who went on the spree,
- 6:37Speaker 3: so she wasn't there for the Sharon Tate murder that
- 6:39Speaker 3: night before, but the second night when they came back
- 6:42Speaker 3: and they did their other spree of killings, she was
- 6:45Speaker 3: one of the women who stabbed one of the bodies,
- 6:47Speaker 3: so she would be something times.
- 6:48Speaker 4: So was she like mind controlled or something like that?
- 6:51Speaker 4: Is that the I don't know?
- 6:52Speaker 3: I mean I think I mean it was a cult.
- 6:54Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, absolutely, I think there was a lot
- 6:56Speaker 3: of you know, mind control and however you feel you
- 6:58Speaker 3: choose to do that. But it was so bizarre because
- 7:00Speaker 3: because when my grandma was pregnant with my mom, she
- 7:05Speaker 3: went to go visit Leslie in prison, and she had
- 7:09Speaker 3: like knitted her a baby outfit and wove her hair
- 7:14Speaker 3: through it and gave it to my grandma for my
- 7:16Speaker 3: mom to And my memo was like, it was the
- 7:20Speaker 3: weirdest thing. She remembers picking out the hair.
- 7:23Speaker 4: And now I'm like.
- 7:25Speaker 3: What, what do you know how much money we could
- 7:27Speaker 3: have gotten if you would have kept the hair.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Problem with this scenario.
- 7:31Speaker 3: You're not wrong, there are some weird people out there. Yeah,
- 7:36Speaker 3: But I just find it so bizarre that that is,
- 7:39Speaker 3: like one day.
- 7:39Speaker 4: I didn't know that you were that because I know
- 7:41Speaker 4: that you you are unusually captivated by the whole Manson thing.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I've read on her Skelter probably five times.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Jennifer, Good Morning, Connection Morning.
- 7:53Speaker 7: So I grew up with this girl, girl Scout, like
- 7:57Speaker 7: she was neighbors with my best friend. My totally grew
- 8:00Speaker 7: up with her. She went to college at Slippery Rock
- 8:03Speaker 7: in Pennsylvania, and apparently she got pregnant and she she
- 8:11Speaker 7: hit it the whole time and then she unfortunately like
- 8:16Speaker 7: killed the baby and left it in the garbage care.
- 8:21Speaker 7: So she sounds like a lot of time in prison. Obviously,
- 8:25Speaker 7: I've don't went there anywhere. I've never talked to her again.
- 8:27Speaker 7: But somebody I totally grew up with did that.
- 8:30Speaker 1: That's crazy, Jennifer, thanks for sharing that.
- 8:32Speaker 2: That's terrible. Yeah, that's terrible. So I think I've told
- 8:35Speaker 2: the story in the last ten years or so. But
- 8:37Speaker 2: when I got my first brand new car ever bought,
- 8:41Speaker 2: I went and got the windows tinted, and the guy
- 8:44Speaker 2: showed up to tint the windows. And after he was done,
- 8:46Speaker 2: he came to he came to the radio station, and
- 8:49Speaker 2: he put the window tint on, and then he goes,
- 8:52Speaker 2: come in the car and let me show you the
- 8:54Speaker 2: window tent. So I went in the car and I
- 8:55Speaker 2: was in the pastor seat, he was in the driver's seed,
- 8:57Speaker 2: and there were bubbles in the window tent.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I'm like, this is terrible.
- 9:00Speaker 2: I go look at these bubbles, and I'm trying to
- 9:02Speaker 2: push the bubbles up and and I'm moving the stuff around.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I go, man, I go ahead, and I can't remember
- 9:07Speaker 2: how much it cost me, but it was like my
- 9:08Speaker 2: first new car, and I was pissed. Anyway, Like a
- 9:11Speaker 2: month later, he goes to prison because they found a
- 9:13Speaker 2: storage room where he had all these chopped up bodies
- 9:15Speaker 2: and I'm chewing this guy out for bubbles.
- 9:19Speaker 4: He's like, it's like that's the sort of thing I.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Wish I remembering his stable in the air before because
- 9:23Speaker 2: I remember I've told this shre before and I googled
- 9:24Speaker 2: it and he eats all over the news. It happened
- 9:25Speaker 2: in San Diego. He's still in prison, got to be
- 9:28Speaker 2: still in prison. He had him, you know those barrels
- 9:31Speaker 2: that what do you call? It was like the big barrels.
- 9:33Speaker 4: He like the like the buckets that you put uh
- 9:35Speaker 4: in home depot bucket bigger.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Than that used to one that used when he would
- 9:40Speaker 3: bring the bodies.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Yeah, he had him. He had these people in as
- 9:46Speaker 1: I know.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Well yeah, well he was yeah, but he was probably
- 9:49Speaker 2: intimidating because I was like, you such a bad job.
- 9:52Speaker 2: He's like, sy, I just killed somebody. I'm sorry that
- 9:54Speaker 2: the bubbles actual, sorry I was late.
- 9:58Speaker 4: You should spend less time killing people in sticks and bubbles.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Sir Dana, what's up? What's your murder connection?
- 10:05Speaker 8: I went to school with the Buddhist temple murderers here
- 10:09Speaker 8: in Arizona in nineteen ninety one.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Buddhist temple murders, not for mill got to google them.
- 10:17Speaker 8: It was two kids from the west side of town
- 10:21Speaker 8: and they murdered some Buddhist monks and robbed them. And
- 10:26Speaker 8: at the time, I'm not sure if it still is,
- 10:28Speaker 8: it was the largest like mass murder in Arizona history.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Oh wow.
- 10:31Speaker 8: And I rode the bus to school with one of
- 10:34Speaker 8: them for high school. They went to Alistria High School,
- 10:38Speaker 8: and so media came to our school and I think
- 10:40Speaker 8: a lot of people here locally knew both of them.
- 10:43Speaker 8: Who was really sad because some of us had kind
- 10:45Speaker 8: of grown up with with Alex Garcia was one of
- 10:48Speaker 8: them and knew him, and so it was really shocking.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that is crazy. Well, thank you for sharing a
- 10:54Speaker 1: story with us.
- 10:56Speaker 8: Thank you
