Mega Edition: Alex Acosta, The Epstein NPA And The Finger That Was On The Scale (10/13/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

0:00
Speaker 1: Everyone and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles in the
0:05
Speaker 1: wake of the Miami Herald investigation into Jeffrey Epstein there
0:10
Speaker 1: was a lot of questions that had to be answered
0:13
Speaker 1: and unfortunately we still don't have any of those answers
0:17
Speaker 1: now of course they'll tell you that Acosta was the
0:20
Speaker 1: key player in all of this if you listen to
0:24
Speaker 1: them they'll tell you that Acosta was the man who
0:27
Speaker 1: made this deal all on his own Well, we know
0:30
Speaker 1: that's not the case. And we know that there was
0:32
Speaker 1: many moving parts that were working together to make sure
0:36
Speaker 1: that all of this happened. So that's why I have
0:40
Speaker 1: been so adamant that it's not just Acosta here. And
0:44
Speaker 1: if we just focus on Acosta, then we're missing the
0:48
Speaker 1: overall bigger plot. Now, Acosta's the low-hanging fruit, right? They
0:53
Speaker 1: want you to focus on that. They want to look
0:55
Speaker 1: at Acosta and say, look, we got rid of him.
0:57
Speaker 1: He got fired from his position because it was all
1:00
Speaker 1: his fault. But it wasn't all his fault. There was
1:03
Speaker 1: a lot going on, and a lot of people who
1:06
Speaker 1: should have been worried about these survivors, about these girls,
1:09
Speaker 1: weren't worried about these survivors or these girls. And instead, well,
1:14
Speaker 1: you had people leaving their position as state attorneys, federal prosecutors,
1:19
Speaker 1: to go and work on the Jeffrey Epstein case. I mean, really?
1:23
Speaker 1: That's okay with people? There's nothing... untowards about that there's
1:27
Speaker 1: no conflict of interest there of course there is but
1:30
Speaker 1: guess what when these are the people who are engaging
1:33
Speaker 1: in it it's okay because they don't have the same
1:35
Speaker 1: set of rules that we do and then when they
1:38
Speaker 1: get called out for their bullshit well the legacy media
1:42
Speaker 1: comes riding in to save their lives and white knight
1:45
Speaker 1: them when what they should be doing is holding them
1:48
Speaker 1: accountable but they won't do it they refuse to do
1:51
Speaker 1: it so today we're going to go back to an
1:53
Speaker 1: article from 2019 from the Miami Herald, where Alexander Acosta
1:59
Speaker 1: points some fingers at some other people. Now the question is,
2:03
Speaker 1: why hasn't the fervor around these other folks been the
2:07
Speaker 1: same as it was around Acosta? Is it that we
2:10
Speaker 1: just want, you know, the low-hanging fruit, nobody wants to
2:13
Speaker 1: do the extra work, and really see what the dirty
2:17
Speaker 1: room holds when you pull back the curtains? Because if
2:21
Speaker 1: they did, they'd be going deep here on everybody involved,
2:24
Speaker 1: not just Acosta. But they never did it, did they?
2:28
Speaker 1: They tried to set Acosta up as basically the fall guy.
2:32
Speaker 1: So nobody looked deeper. So nobody looked at who was
2:34
Speaker 1: really pulling the strings. Today's article is from 2019 and
2:41
Speaker 1: it was authored by Julie K. Brown. Headline, Deflecting Blame.
2:45
Speaker 1: Acosta pointed finger at others. why they may have some
2:49
Speaker 1: explaining to do. Yeah, everybody involved has some explaining to do, okay? Every. Last. Person.
2:58
Speaker 1: On October 23rd, 2007, as federal prosecutors in South Florida
3:02
Speaker 1: were in the midst of tense negotiations to finalize a
3:06
Speaker 1: plea deal with accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, a senior
3:10
Speaker 1: prosecutor in their office was quietly laying out plans to
3:14
Speaker 1: leave the U.S. Attorney's Office after 11 years. Now, Mind you,
3:18
Speaker 1: this is in the middle of tense negotiations with Jeffrey
3:22
Speaker 1: Epstein and his people. Why would this prosecutor think it's
3:25
Speaker 1: a good idea to leave his position and go and
3:28
Speaker 1: work for Jeffrey Epstein's associates? And you know what the
3:31
Speaker 1: galling part about that is? When people try and distinguish
3:35
Speaker 1: it from one another, right? Oh, well, he was working
3:38
Speaker 1: for Epstein's clients, not Epstein. And you think Epstein's associates
3:43
Speaker 1: were paying? for these bills, or was it Jeffrey Epstein,
3:47
Speaker 1: who was transferring $ 350, 000 to co-conspirators, was he the one
3:51
Speaker 1: paying these bills? On that date, as emails were flying
3:57
Speaker 1: between Epstein's lawyers and federal prosecutors, Bruce E. Reinhart, now
4:01
Speaker 1: a federal magistrate, opened a limited liability company in Florida
4:05
Speaker 1: that established what would become his new criminal defense practice. Oh,
4:09
Speaker 1: that's nice, another LLC. Another one of these people who
4:12
Speaker 1: have these limited liability companies. The stated address, according to
4:19
Speaker 1: Florida State Corporate Records, 250 South Australian Avenue, Suite 1400.
4:25
Speaker 1: It was the same location and identical suite number as
4:28
Speaker 1: that of Epstein's lead attorney, Jack Goldberger. So, Reinhardt, leaves
4:35
Speaker 1: the prosecution, and then basically the next day has an
4:39
Speaker 1: office with Epstein's lawyer, Jack Goldberger. But he's not defending
4:42
Speaker 1: Jeff Epstein. Oh, no, no, no, it's not. It has
4:45
Speaker 1: nothing to do with defending Jeffrey Epstein. He's just defending
4:47
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's associates, as if that's any better. As if
4:52
Speaker 1: that is any better. By the end of the year,
4:57
Speaker 1: Reinhardt had... resigned his post in the Southern District of Florida.
5:02
Speaker 1: Within days, on January 2nd, 2008, he was hired to
5:06
Speaker 1: represent several of Epstein's accused accomplices who would later, like Epstein,
5:11
Speaker 1: receive federal immunity for allegedly trafficking underage girls. Huh. So
5:17
Speaker 1: this isn't something that should be talked about? I just
5:19
Speaker 1: read a whole-ass USA Today article this morning trying to
5:23
Speaker 1: debunk the fact that Reinhardt was working with Epstein. Now,
5:28
Speaker 1: let's not conflate the issue here and say that, oh, well,
5:31
Speaker 1: that's the reason that he sent this warrant over to Mark.
5:34
Speaker 1: That's ridiculous, okay? But we're not going to whitewash the
5:37
Speaker 1: fact that this dude worked for Jeffrey Epstein's clients. And
5:41
Speaker 1: for those of us who know the story, we know
5:43
Speaker 1: that means he worked for Epstein because none of his
5:45
Speaker 1: clients had this kind, I mean, none of his associates
5:47
Speaker 1: had this kind of money to pay for this kind
5:49
Speaker 1: of legal service. So please don't try and gaslight me.
5:54
Speaker 1: Please don't try and, you know, feed me your narrative
5:57
Speaker 1: because we know the real story Reinhardt's defection was one
6:03
Speaker 1: of many highly unusual turns that the Epstein case took
6:07
Speaker 1: 12 years ago moves that could merit examination as the
6:11
Speaker 1: multi-millionaire's controversial non-prosecution agreement is dissected in the wake of
6:16
Speaker 1: his arrest last week on sex trafficking charges well we
6:20
Speaker 1: know that's not the case we know nobody's going to
6:22
Speaker 1: look at anything because it would lead to egg on
6:24
Speaker 1: their face And believe me, it's not just Reinhardt here.
6:28
Speaker 1: There's a whole host of characters that were once federal prosecutors,
6:32
Speaker 1: that were once federal agents of the law, that worked
6:34
Speaker 1: for Epstein, and in fact worked to destroy the girl's case.
6:41
Speaker 1: There have been long questions raised about the level of
6:44
Speaker 1: influence Epstein and his powerhouse legal team may have exerted
6:49
Speaker 1: over federal and state prosecutors, as well as Palm Beach
6:52
Speaker 1: County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw. Alexander Acosta, the former top prosecutor
6:57
Speaker 1: of Epstein's case in 2007-2008, resigned on Friday as U.S.
7:03
Speaker 1: Secretary of Labor, saying the overwhelming media scrutiny he has
7:06
Speaker 1: faced since Epstein's arrest, part of the fallout from the
7:10
Speaker 1: Miami Herald's investigative series, Perversion of Justice, has become too
7:15
Speaker 1: big of a distraction to overcome. Bro, you're the distraction.
7:21
Speaker 1: The fact that you and your buddies were out here
7:23
Speaker 1: making backroom deals to let Jeffrey Epstein and his bitch-ass
7:26
Speaker 1: associates walk, you're the problem. At the same time Friday,
7:34
Speaker 1: authorities in New York revealed that as recently as December 2018,
7:38
Speaker 1: Epstein was wiring money to people who had potentially damaging
7:42
Speaker 1: information about his alleged sex trafficking enterprise. That's what we
7:46
Speaker 1: talked about yesterday. The $ 350, 000 transfers. So you see how
7:52
Speaker 1: this all plays in, right? You see how I do
7:54
Speaker 1: these little lead-ins every now and then? There's a method
7:57
Speaker 1: to your boy's madness. And today it's to show you
8:01
Speaker 1: that everybody who is involved with this non-prosecution agreement needs
8:07
Speaker 1: to be looked at under the microscope. Bruce Reinhart, Acosta, Mukasey,
8:14
Speaker 1: all of them. New York U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Berman said
8:22
Speaker 1: the transaction of hundreds of thousands of dollars made just
8:25
Speaker 1: days after the Miami Herald ran its series show that
8:28
Speaker 1: the accused sex trafficker was still trying to use his
8:31
Speaker 1: money to leverage witnesses. Bradley Edwards, one of the lawyers
8:35
Speaker 1: who represents Epstein's survivors, said it's now time for Acosta
8:39
Speaker 1: and others involved in the case to explain... how and
8:43
Speaker 1: why they gave Epstein and others immunity from such serious
8:47
Speaker 1: charges without informing his survivors that they were disposing of
8:51
Speaker 1: the case. Boy, that would be nice. But we're never
8:54
Speaker 1: going to get that, are we? We're never going to
8:56
Speaker 1: get accountability here because people are interested in whitewashing what happened.
9:01
Speaker 1: When you have USA Today basically running a puff piece
9:04
Speaker 1: for Judge Reinhart just because... It might damage them politically
9:09
Speaker 1: or whatever, or their favored candidate politically. You know we
9:12
Speaker 1: have a big problem. You need to be able to
9:15
Speaker 1: take a sober look at something like this and say, hey, look,
9:18
Speaker 1: this person's a scumbag. I don't care what their politics are.
9:22
Speaker 1: And if you're not interested in doing that and stuffing
9:24
Speaker 1: your biases around this case, then you're in the way.
9:28
Speaker 1: And I don't know how much more clear I need
9:29
Speaker 1: to be about that. What we need now is for
9:38
Speaker 1: Alex Acosta to finally sit down with us and explain
9:41
Speaker 1: what happened. And for others involved in the investigation to
9:44
Speaker 1: also talk, Edwards said. And again, none of that's ever happened.
9:47
Speaker 1: We haven't had a real conversation with all of the
9:50
Speaker 1: people involved. How come all of these people haven't been subpoenaed? Oh,
9:53
Speaker 1: that's right. No Rico. At an hour long. news conference Wednesday,
10:01
Speaker 1: Acosta defended his handling of the case and cast blame
10:04
Speaker 1: in various directions, including at the state attorney, who had
10:07
Speaker 1: been poised to charge Epstein with a misdemeanor, at the sheriff,
10:11
Speaker 1: who gave him liberal work release, and at unnamed staff
10:14
Speaker 1: members under his own supervision. So like usual, it's everybody
10:18
Speaker 1: else's fault, right? No accountability within the federal government. No
10:22
Speaker 1: accountability within any of the institutions. It's always somebody else's fault.
10:27
Speaker 1: And if that's always the case, and we allow that
10:29
Speaker 1: to occur, just like if you have a kid and
10:31
Speaker 1: you let it occur, well, they're going to build bad habits.
10:34
Speaker 1: And they're going to continue to do whatever they want,
10:37
Speaker 1: just like a kid would do. That's why there needs
10:39
Speaker 1: to be repercussions for everybody that was involved here. In 2007-2008,
10:44
Speaker 1: Acosta's team had prepared a 53-page indictment against Epstein, citing
10:50
Speaker 1: nearly three dozen underage girls, mostly 13-16. who were molested
10:56
Speaker 1: by the wealthy money manager. And if you think Reinhardt
10:59
Speaker 1: didn't know all of this, he most certainly did. Remember,
11:01
Speaker 1: he was a prosecutor. And old boy decided to bounce
11:04
Speaker 1: from prosecution to go and work for people like Sarah
11:07
Speaker 1: Kellen Vickers, people like Larry Vesosky. Really, that means Epstein.
11:12
Speaker 1: Let's not let them, you know, change the narrative. But
11:15
Speaker 1: they'll say, oh, this is not a fact. But it
11:18
Speaker 1: really is if you know the whole story and you
11:21
Speaker 1: know who was paying the bills. Because really, if you're
11:24
Speaker 1: paying the bills, right, then you're the one who's in charge. Acosta, however,
11:32
Speaker 1: agreed to shelve the indictment and instead allowed Epstein to
11:35
Speaker 1: plead guilty to two felony prostitution charges in state court.
11:40
Speaker 1: Epstein's lawyers, who in addition to Goldberger, were Alan Dershowitz,
11:44
Speaker 1: Roy Black, Kenneth Starr, Guy Lewis, and Jay Lefkowitz, demanded
11:49
Speaker 1: that the deal be sealed and kept secret from Epstein's survivors.
11:53
Speaker 1: Acosta acquiesced, emails show, even though survivor's notification was required
11:59
Speaker 1: under federal law. So, again, I ask you, is this
12:03
Speaker 1: Reinhardt character really somebody that everybody should be defending? And
12:08
Speaker 1: in the wake of all of this, I remember it was, oh,
12:11
Speaker 1: why is everybody attacking a judge? This is dangerous. And
12:14
Speaker 1: then on the flip side of that, every single time
12:17
Speaker 1: I look at the news, there's another judge being attacked
12:20
Speaker 1: if a ruling doesn't go the way of said group.
12:24
Speaker 1: So enough is enough, okay? Nobody is above reproach. None
12:28
Speaker 1: of these judges are above reproach. None of these politicians
12:31
Speaker 1: are above reproach. And stop the nonsense of telling people
12:35
Speaker 1: that they shouldn't be critical of decisions that are made.
12:38
Speaker 1: These are public officials. These are people that are elected
12:41
Speaker 1: or appointed by elected officials. And if you won't hold
12:44
Speaker 1: them accountable, then it's up to us to do that.
12:52
Speaker 1: In January, the Justice Department announced it had opened a
12:54
Speaker 1: probe into whether there were possible misconduct by prosecutors in
12:59
Speaker 1: the case. The investigations by DOJ's Office of Professional Responsibility
13:04
Speaker 1: remains pending. The DOJ inquiry could bump up against the
13:08
Speaker 1: New York investigation, which is being led by the Southern
13:11
Speaker 1: District of New York's Public Corruption Unit. Now again, I
13:15
Speaker 1: ask you, why was the Public Corruptions Unit involved and
13:18
Speaker 1: nobody in the public sphere ever got nailed? I'm going
13:21
Speaker 1: to tell you exactly what I think, okay? And you
13:24
Speaker 1: know me, I don't do too much of the diving
13:26
Speaker 1: into the deep end of the conspiracy pool. My guess
13:30
Speaker 1: is that they had everything right in front of them.
13:33
Speaker 1: They knew what they could have got. They knew what
13:35
Speaker 1: they could have achieved here as far as prosecutors, and
13:39
Speaker 1: they chose not to do it. That's right, the SDNY
13:43
Speaker 1: let off Epstein and his associates once again. There's no
13:47
Speaker 1: other excuse. There's no other explanation when you have this
13:50
Speaker 1: kind of evidence and you don't go the full Monty.
13:54
Speaker 1: What else would you have me believe? Berman downplayed the
14:05
Speaker 1: significance of the unit's involvement, cautioning reporters not to read
14:09
Speaker 1: too much into it. But some experienced federal investigators found
14:13
Speaker 1: it curious. Me too. Why the hell would the public
14:16
Speaker 1: corruptions unit be involved if we have no public officials
14:19
Speaker 1: who are on the radar? The fact that the public
14:23
Speaker 1: corruption unit is involved suggests to me that this goes
14:26
Speaker 1: beyond the typical crimes against children or sex trafficking case. Typically,
14:31
Speaker 1: they don't get involved in something like this unless it
14:34
Speaker 1: involves looking at people who are in a position of
14:36
Speaker 1: public trust, said James A. Gagliano, a 25 year old,
14:41
Speaker 1: a 25 year veteran of the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
14:45
Speaker 1: So what did they find that scared them so much?
14:47
Speaker 1: What did they find that they thought was so horrible,
14:51
Speaker 1: so heinous that they couldn't tell us? Because something was found.
14:55
Speaker 1: They had all the evidence. They had all of the
14:57
Speaker 1: hard drives. They had all of the pictures. They had
14:59
Speaker 1: all the testimony. So what did they find that was
15:02
Speaker 1: so disastrous, so bad, that they're hiding it from us?
15:06
Speaker 1: And at this point, I feel like they're hiding stuff
15:08
Speaker 1: from us, okay? We just talked about the Freedom of
15:10
Speaker 1: Information Acts that they're continuously denying. They've never been transparent
15:15
Speaker 1: from day one. So why would we think that they're
15:17
Speaker 1: being transparent here? The Herald series examined a number of
15:24
Speaker 1: people whose actions were questioned by lawyers representing Epstein survivors.
15:28
Speaker 1: Besides Acosta, two other prosecutors in the Southern District of
15:32
Speaker 1: Florida were named in court documents connected to a civil
15:35
Speaker 1: lawsuit filed by two Epstein survivors in 2008. One of
15:42
Speaker 1: them was Palm Beach federal magistrate Reinhardt. I mean, you
15:45
Speaker 1: would think that people would make more of this, right?
15:48
Speaker 1: But what they tried to do was whitewash Reinhardt's involvement
15:52
Speaker 1: here just simply because he was the one who pulled
15:54
Speaker 1: that warrant on Mar-a-Lago. So you see both sides line
15:58
Speaker 1: up and go into their foxholes, right? One side's putting
16:01
Speaker 1: out fake pictures of Reinhardt. The other side's trying to
16:04
Speaker 1: whitewash his involvement. And then there's those of us who
16:07
Speaker 1: are trying to get to the truth who are in
16:08
Speaker 1: the middle who have to wade through all of that
16:10
Speaker 1: bullshit to get there. And it's not fair to these survivors.
16:16
Speaker 1: And these people that continuously try to use this issue
16:19
Speaker 1: as a political football, I've had enough of it. But
16:23
Speaker 1: the fact is this, folks, your boy Reinhardt is neck
16:26
Speaker 1: deep in Epstein bullshit. In a 2011 sworn affidavit submitted
16:35
Speaker 1: in the civil case, Reinhardt denied he did anything unethical
16:38
Speaker 1: or improper. He asserted, under the penalty of perjury, that
16:42
Speaker 1: he was not part of the team involved in Epstein's
16:44
Speaker 1: investigation and therefore was not privy to any confidential information
16:49
Speaker 1: about the case. But two years later, Reinhart's former supervisors
16:54
Speaker 1: in the U.S. Attorney's Office filed a court paper contradicting him,
16:58
Speaker 1: saying that while Bruce E. Reinhart was an assistant U.S. attorney,
17:02
Speaker 1: he learned confidential, non-public information about the Epstein matter. That's
17:07
Speaker 1: them saying it, okay, folks? Not me. That's not some
17:10
Speaker 1: crazy person saying it, trying to cause some political rift, okay?
17:15
Speaker 1: If that's what you're looking for, this is not the
17:17
Speaker 1: podcast for you. We're swimming through the bullshit here, folks,
17:22
Speaker 1: and we're trying to get to the meat of the situation.
17:25
Speaker 1: And for me, anyway, this Bruce Reinhardt character, well, he's
17:30
Speaker 1: neck deep. And I wouldn't even be coming here and
17:32
Speaker 1: talking about this once again today. But the USA Today
17:36
Speaker 1: thought that they'd be wise guys and hop into the
17:38
Speaker 1: fray and put out an article about fact check this,
17:41
Speaker 1: fact check this. Vafangul to the fact checkers, okay? Because
17:45
Speaker 1: a lot of these fact checkers don't know the facts. Now,
17:48
Speaker 1: I'm not talking about other topics. I don't know about
17:50
Speaker 1: the other topics the way I do about this one.
17:53
Speaker 1: So I stay in my lane, you know. Let's stay
17:55
Speaker 1: in our lane and talk about the things we know about,
17:58
Speaker 1: not talk about a bunch of shit we don't know about,
18:01
Speaker 1: you know, like everybody else out there. In response to
18:05
Speaker 1: a request for comment from the Herald last year, Reinhardt
18:09
Speaker 1: said he doesn't recall learning anything about Epstein's criminal matters.
18:13
Speaker 1: even assuming I had participated personally and substantially in the
18:17
Speaker 1: Epstein investigation, which I did not, the relevant Department of
18:21
Speaker 1: Justice regulations only prohibited me from communicating with or appearing
18:25
Speaker 1: before the United States on behalf of Mr. Epstein, he
18:29
Speaker 1: said in an email, noting that while he represented a
18:32
Speaker 1: number of Epstein's employees, he did not represent Epstein. Who
18:35
Speaker 1: paid for that? You notice the USA Today doesn't ask
18:39
Speaker 1: that question, right? So who paid the bills? We know
18:42
Speaker 1: now that it was Epstein paying the bills. So why
18:44
Speaker 1: isn't anybody curious about that? It's because they're not curious
18:50
Speaker 1: to get to the truth. They're only trying to use
18:53
Speaker 1: things as a political cudgel to score points. He declined
19:01
Speaker 1: to say whether he was being paid by Epstein for
19:03
Speaker 1: representing several of Epstein's accused co-conspirators, including Sarah Kellen, Epstein's assistant,
19:10
Speaker 1: in Palm Beach. Remember, Sarah Kellen was the one who
19:12
Speaker 1: was mentioned at Ghislaine Maxwell's trial as being a co-conspirator
19:16
Speaker 1: and part of the plot here, and as abusing girls.
19:18
Speaker 1: But it's okay that Reinhardt didn't, oh, he didn't represent Epstein,
19:22
Speaker 1: he just represented Sarah Kellen Vickers, so it's okay, and
19:25
Speaker 1: you're a conspiracy theorist. Man, shut up. And as I
19:29
Speaker 1: like to say, you can miss me with all of that.
19:32
Speaker 1: I have no time for the bullshit. I have no
19:34
Speaker 1: time for false narratives. And guess what? You know who
19:37
Speaker 1: else doesn't have any time for it? Anybody else who's
19:40
Speaker 1: interested in justice. Kellen, whose subsequent married name is Vickers,
19:47
Speaker 1: allegedly scheduled underage girls to visit Edmunds. three and four
19:51
Speaker 1: times a day, court and police records show. So this guy,
19:55
Speaker 1: forget all of the Donald Trump nonsense, I could care
19:57
Speaker 1: less about any of that, okay? Write as many warrants
20:01
Speaker 1: as you want to Mar-a-Lago, my friend. The real question
20:04
Speaker 1: for me is, why in the blazes are you even
20:06
Speaker 1: on the bench after being involved with Jeffrey Epstein? Another
20:13
Speaker 1: federal prosecutor who has been named in court records is
20:15
Speaker 1: Matthew L. Menchel, who was in charge of the office
20:18
Speaker 1: criminal division and was copied on some of the emails
20:22
Speaker 1: and other correspondence and passed between prosecutors handling the case. Edwards,
20:27
Speaker 1: who drew up a civil suit seeking to invalidate Epstein's
20:31
Speaker 1: plea agreement, filed a sworn affidavit in 2013 alleging that
20:35
Speaker 1: the Justice Department knew that Menschel had some sort of
20:38
Speaker 1: relationship with Epstein. Now look, how many of these prosecutors
20:42
Speaker 1: in the office have relationships with Epstein or his friends?
20:46
Speaker 1: And none of you find anything untowards about this? This
20:49
Speaker 1: is all above board for you, right? Okay, I guess so.
20:54
Speaker 1: The government admits that it has information about a personal
20:57
Speaker 1: or business relationship between Jeffrey Epstein and another prosecutor involved
21:03
Speaker 1: in the Epstein case, Matthew Menschel. Edwards wrote in the affidavit,
21:08
Speaker 1: Edwards was asking the judge in the case, Kenneth A. Mara,
21:11
Speaker 1: to demand the government disclose the nature of that relationship
21:14
Speaker 1: so that Epstein's victims could evaluate whether there was anything
21:18
Speaker 1: improper about Menschel's involvement. Do you folks not see the
21:23
Speaker 1: trend here? Can you tell me the last case of
21:25
Speaker 1: a mafioso or a drug dealer where federal prosecutors abandoned
21:29
Speaker 1: ship at the federal government's office to go and work
21:32
Speaker 1: for the drug dealers? But it's not odd here that
21:36
Speaker 1: this happened in Jeffrey Epstein's case. People act like this
21:40
Speaker 1: happens all the time. It does not. And this man
21:42
Speaker 1: Reinhardt should have faced scrutiny. And not just now, it
21:45
Speaker 1: should have been then. He should have never been on
21:47
Speaker 1: the bench when all of this came out. They should
21:49
Speaker 1: have handled him then. Menchel, Villafana, every single person involved
21:55
Speaker 1: in this absolute sordid affair should never hold public office again.
22:04
Speaker 1: In my experience, it is highly unusual for federal prosecutors
22:07
Speaker 1: to work on a case prosecuting someone such as Jeffrey
22:10
Speaker 1: Epstein and then shortly thereafter leave the employment of the
22:13
Speaker 1: federal government and enter into a business relationship with the
22:17
Speaker 1: person who is being prosecuted. Menchel, now a trial attorney
22:21
Speaker 1: with the Miami law firm Cobre & Kim, declined to
22:24
Speaker 1: comment for this report. I can't comment on the advice
22:27
Speaker 1: of counsel because there is an open OPR investigation, Menschel
22:31
Speaker 1: said Saturday. Again, with the open investigation. Do you folks
22:34
Speaker 1: not see what's going on here? I mean, we've put
22:38
Speaker 1: it out in black and white. The next thing I'll
22:40
Speaker 1: have to do is break out the note cards to
22:42
Speaker 1: put the pieces together here. Because it's rather obvious that
22:46
Speaker 1: all of these people mentioned, every single one of them,
22:49
Speaker 1: is a scumbag. Barry Kersher, the Palm Beach State Attorney,
22:52
Speaker 1: who had initial jurisdiction over the case in 2006 before
22:56
Speaker 1: the FBI took over, has responded only recently to criticism. Acosta,
23:01
Speaker 1: at his Wednesday news conference, seemed to put blame on
23:04
Speaker 1: Kersher for his apparent attempt to let Epstein off the
23:06
Speaker 1: hook with just a misdemeanor. It was only after then-Palm
23:10
Speaker 1: Beach Police Chief Michael Ryder wrote a public letter asking
23:13
Speaker 1: that Krischer recuse himself from the case that the U.S.
23:17
Speaker 1: Attorney's Office and FBI assume jurisdiction of the Epstein Matter
23:21
Speaker 1: record show. And that's because the whole thing was a
23:24
Speaker 1: shit show down there. Nobody was doing the right thing.
23:27
Speaker 1: So Chief Ryder had to step up and make a move.
23:34
Speaker 1: Among the issues raised by Palm Beach police investigators is
23:37
Speaker 1: why Krischer's office presented only one survivor to the state
23:40
Speaker 1: grand jury that heard testimony when Palm Beach police, by
23:44
Speaker 1: that time, had identified multiple girls who were molested by Epstein.
23:48
Speaker 1: Good question. So why wasn't that the case? Why didn't
23:53
Speaker 1: all of these girls get their minute in front of
23:55
Speaker 1: the grand jury? Another concern. When police raided Epstein's Palm
24:01
Speaker 1: Beach estate, they found all his computers had been removed,
24:05
Speaker 1: suggesting that someone in Krischer's office had tipped off Epstein
24:09
Speaker 1: about search warrants. Now look, how many of these people
24:11
Speaker 1: who went to work for Epstein were feeding him information
24:14
Speaker 1: before they went to work for him? How about that?
24:17
Speaker 1: You want to run around and talk about what ifs?
24:19
Speaker 1: How about that? Run home and put that in your
24:21
Speaker 1: pipe and smoke it. USA Today. Janus Banasiak, a butler
24:29
Speaker 1: for Epstein, testified in a civil deposition years later that
24:32
Speaker 1: one of Epstein's assistants, Adriana Ross, and another unidentified man
24:37
Speaker 1: were instructed in advance of the arrival of Palm Beach
24:40
Speaker 1: police to remove multiple computers in the house. Krischer never
24:45
Speaker 1: issued a subpoena for the computers, even though it was
24:47
Speaker 1: known that they were in the hands of Epstein's attorneys
24:50
Speaker 1: by that time. The lead detective, Joseph Ricari, told the Herald.
24:54
Speaker 1: Why not? Why not? Why wasn't all of this information
24:58
Speaker 1: seized and in the hands of investigators? Once again, no
25:02
Speaker 1: chain of custody? How come every single step along the
25:06
Speaker 1: way that has to do with Epstein, from arresting him
25:09
Speaker 1: till his death, is filled with all of these inconsistencies?
25:14
Speaker 1: All of these terrible systemic failures. Is it really all
25:17
Speaker 1: systemic failures? Or is it all by design? I'll let
25:21
Speaker 1: you figure that out. Krischer has not responded to requests
25:26
Speaker 1: from the Miami Herald for comment about the case, but
25:29
Speaker 1: he did issue a statement in response to Acosta's recollection
25:32
Speaker 1: of events, saying, Mr. Acosta should not be allowed to
25:36
Speaker 1: rewrite history. None of you should be. None one of
25:39
Speaker 1: you fools should be. And all of you should lose
25:41
Speaker 1: your pensions. In the years following the Florida FBI probe,
25:49
Speaker 1: several lawyers who represented Epstein's survivors as well as private
25:52
Speaker 1: investigator filed complaints with the Justice Department's Office of Professional Responsibility,
25:58
Speaker 1: claiming that Epstein's case may have gone off the rails
26:00
Speaker 1: because he improperly influenced federal prosecutors. That's the core of
26:05
Speaker 1: the issue, okay? That's what we're talking about. Why any
26:09
Speaker 1: of these prosecutors who ended up working for Epstein or
26:13
Speaker 1: his associates would go on to become judges or anything
26:16
Speaker 1: that has to do with the law is fucking beyond me, okay?
26:21
Speaker 1: And anyone trying to justify that or okay it is
26:24
Speaker 1: really not looking for justice in this case. And for
26:28
Speaker 1: a long time, I've just been willing to ignore that shit.
26:31
Speaker 1: I'm not going to ignore it anymore. I'm real tired
26:33
Speaker 1: of people pointing fingers at other people, talking about, oh,
26:36
Speaker 1: you're biased or this, that, the other thing, when they
26:38
Speaker 1: have no desire to really get to the meat and
26:41
Speaker 1: potatoes of the issue here. And the meat and the
26:43
Speaker 1: potatoes is there was corruption from the top, folks. Okay,
26:46
Speaker 1: you don't want to hear it, but that's the truth.
26:49
Speaker 1: All the way down from Mukasey's office, at the very least,
26:52
Speaker 1: the highest levels of the Department of Justice were involved here.
27:00
Speaker 1: One of those complaints filed by Paul Cassell, a former
27:03
Speaker 1: federal judge in Utah who represents Epstein's survivors, ended up
27:06
Speaker 1: in the hands of the U.S. Attorney's Office in Puerto Rico.
27:09
Speaker 1: Reinhart said that the complaint, which alleged Reinhart committed perjury
27:13
Speaker 1: in his affidavit, was fully investigated. And they declined to
27:16
Speaker 1: pursue the matter, Reinhart said. So again, why did this
27:19
Speaker 1: guy even become a judge? I don't care about the
27:21
Speaker 1: Trump stuff. Whatever. That's for other people to discuss. I'm
27:25
Speaker 1: not going to spend my time yelling into the wind
27:27
Speaker 1: like everybody else does. My question is, why was this
27:31
Speaker 1: guy on the bench in the first place? With all
27:33
Speaker 1: of this around him, is this the sort of man
27:35
Speaker 1: that you want sitting on the bench, judicating cases? The
27:41
Speaker 1: Miami Herald submitted a Freedom of Information Act request for
27:45
Speaker 1: the investigation, but the Justice Department denied the request, so
27:48
Speaker 1: it's not clear what the investigation entailed. So, again, before
27:53
Speaker 1: you run around and you talk about conspiracy theories, point
27:56
Speaker 1: your finger at the federal government and ask them why
27:58
Speaker 1: they're not being transparent. Ask them why they're not giving
28:01
Speaker 1: out the proper amount of information in this case that
28:04
Speaker 1: people are requesting through the proper legal channels. Gagliano said
28:10
Speaker 1: it's common for federal prosecutors to go into the private
28:13
Speaker 1: sector after serving in the Justice Department where they make
28:16
Speaker 1: modest salaries. Since Reinhart wasn't assigned the case, he could
28:20
Speaker 1: successfully argue that he wasn't privy to anything other than
28:24
Speaker 1: banter over the water cooler, said Gagliano, who is also
28:28
Speaker 1: a CNN law enforcement analyst. I mean, for real. And
28:32
Speaker 1: I guess you could make that argument. But it's as
28:34
Speaker 1: ridiculous to me as arguing that, oh, I didn't know
28:37
Speaker 1: what Jeffrey Epstein was up to before his first arrest.
28:42
Speaker 1: But the bottom line is, in this scenario, I would
28:45
Speaker 1: recuse myself from any case that my office handled. It
28:48
Speaker 1: may not be unethical, but there is a perception of impropriety,
28:52
Speaker 1: Gagliano said. There's more than that for me. And again,
28:55
Speaker 1: maybe it's that I'm cynical, but every single person who
28:58
Speaker 1: played a part here in making sure Epstein got off
29:01
Speaker 1: and making sure Sarah Kellen Vickers got off and making
29:03
Speaker 1: sure that Adriana Ross got off and making sure that
29:06
Speaker 1: the rest of them got off, I have a big
29:09
Speaker 1: problem with that. Besides Krischer, Lana Beliholovac, the lead assistant
29:18
Speaker 1: prosecutor who oversaw Epstein's sentencing in 2008, has been accused
29:22
Speaker 1: of leading the sentencing judge, Deborah Dale Puccio, to believe
29:27
Speaker 1: that Epstein's crimes involved only several victims and that those
29:30
Speaker 1: victims had been notified and were satisfied with the plea arrangement.
29:35
Speaker 1: And we know that's not the case. It's all been
29:38
Speaker 1: a lie. Why were the prosecutor's Florida so in the
29:41
Speaker 1: bag for Jeffrey Epstein? And then they go and work
29:43
Speaker 1: for him and bring in big-ass paychecks? Yeah, nothing untowards here, folks.
29:57
Speaker 1: That was not the case because several of the survivors' lawyers,
30:01
Speaker 1: including Robert C. Jovsburg, who represented the woman whose case
30:05
Speaker 1: was at the heart of the state charges that were brought,
30:08
Speaker 1: told the Herald that they were never notified about Epstein's
30:11
Speaker 1: plea deal or sentencing. So again, the prosecution completely disregarded
30:17
Speaker 1: the survivors and how they feel and what their rights were.
30:22
Speaker 1: In February, Judge Mara ruled that the 2008 deal was illegal,
30:26
Speaker 1: finding that the survivors were not only kept in the dark,
30:29
Speaker 1: but they were misled by prosecutors in violation of the
30:33
Speaker 1: Crime Victims Rights Act. So, who's the asshole here, okay, really?
30:39
Speaker 1: People that are defending this Judge Reinhart clown? or people
30:42
Speaker 1: who are trying to point out the fact that all
30:45
Speaker 1: of these people involved, not just this judge, by the way,
30:48
Speaker 1: all of these people involved in this prosecution should not
30:51
Speaker 1: hold any office any time after. There's no repercussions for
30:56
Speaker 1: people that do this shit, so you can just bounce
30:58
Speaker 1: from the prosecutor's office, go work for Epstein, and then
31:01
Speaker 1: get yourself handed a gavel and go sit in some
31:05
Speaker 1: courtroom and be a modern-day feudal lord? That sits well
31:09
Speaker 1: with you guys? Not me. Not me at all. And
31:12
Speaker 1: I'm going to continue to voice my concern about it.
31:19
Speaker 1: Bella Hovlak, who no longer works for the Palm Beach
31:21
Speaker 1: State Attorney's Office, informed a Herald reporter through an email
31:25
Speaker 1: from her employer. the state attorney's office for Southwest Florida,
31:29
Speaker 1: that she would not be commenting on the case. Nobody
31:31
Speaker 1: wants to comment. And again, then you wonder why there's
31:33
Speaker 1: conspiracy theories out there, why people are making up their
31:36
Speaker 1: own stories. This is why. So you can blame the
31:39
Speaker 1: people who make up the conspiracies, but you have to
31:42
Speaker 1: blame the government as well for not doing their job
31:45
Speaker 1: and informing you of the facts. Then there's Palm Beach
31:52
Speaker 1: County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw who gave Epstein work release even
31:55
Speaker 1: though his own department's policy explicitly banned sex offenders from
31:59
Speaker 1: getting work release. Bradshaw has declined to talk to the
32:02
Speaker 1: Miami Herald. But interviewed earlier this year on Sundial, a
32:06
Speaker 1: local radio program, Bradshaw claimed that Epstein was not a
32:09
Speaker 1: sex offender when he was given work release. Nah, not
32:12
Speaker 1: a sex offender. Epstein was a good old wholesome guy.
32:15
Speaker 1: You know, he was never in trouble for anything. Hell
32:17
Speaker 1: of a guy that I would want to leave my
32:19
Speaker 1: federal prosecutor's job for to go and work for Sarah
32:22
Speaker 1: Kell and Vickers and have him pay for it. However,
32:28
Speaker 1: the nature of his charges was well known and records
32:30
Speaker 1: obtained by the Herald show that Epstein signed documents at
32:33
Speaker 1: his sentencing, acknowledging that he was a sex offender and
32:36
Speaker 1: outlining all the requirements that go with being a convicted
32:40
Speaker 1: sex offender. So they just straight up lied to you
32:43
Speaker 1: this whole time and everybody accepted it for all of
32:45
Speaker 1: these years. Well, we're not accepting it anymore. And the
32:48
Speaker 1: days of hiding behind political tribes and hiding in bunkers,
32:51
Speaker 1: those days are over for me. It is open season
32:55
Speaker 1: on everybody involved with Jeffrey Epstein. In a wide-ranging interview
33:01
Speaker 1: about various sheriff's department issues on Miami's WLRN in April,
33:05
Speaker 1: Bradshaw was asked about the department's decision to allow Epstein
33:09
Speaker 1: to leave the county jail six days a week. Epstein's
33:12
Speaker 1: private driver would pick him up and take him to
33:15
Speaker 1: an office he had set up in downtown West Palm
33:17
Speaker 1: Beach in the same group of suites as his lawyer
33:19
Speaker 1: Goldberg and Reinhart, by the way. Epstein spent up to
33:23
Speaker 1: 10 hours a day at the office with a sheriff's
33:26
Speaker 1: deputy stationed outside, records show. And we know that those
33:29
Speaker 1: records were destroyed, by the way. Why were those records destroyed?
33:32
Speaker 1: Why is there no investigation into any of this? All
33:38
Speaker 1: we did was house him, Bradshaw told Luis Hernandez, host
33:41
Speaker 1: of Sundial. We met the criteria for work release. He
33:44
Speaker 1: was not adjudicated as a violent sex offender. He wasn't
33:47
Speaker 1: even adjudicated as a sex offender, which is a straight
33:50
Speaker 1: up lie. And that gets to the heart of all
33:52
Speaker 1: of it, folks. Everybody who's been involved in this from
33:55
Speaker 1: day one has lied to you. They have lied to you,
33:59
Speaker 1: straight up lied to you. They've lied to you with
34:01
Speaker 1: lies of omission. And they've lied to you about this
34:05
Speaker 1: Judge Reinhart's involvement as well. And believe me, both sides
34:07
Speaker 1: have done it. You think making a fake picture of
34:12
Speaker 1: Judge Reinhart on Epstein's plane with Ghislaine Maxwell is doing
34:15
Speaker 1: the cause any good? You're just as bad as people
34:20
Speaker 1: who are denying the fact that Reinhardt had anything to
34:22
Speaker 1: do with helping Epstein's co-conspirators. There is enough salaciousness here
34:29
Speaker 1: where you don't need to make shit up. There are
34:32
Speaker 1: enough people involved in heinous acts that we don't have
34:35
Speaker 1: to go down that route. And I'm not saying that
34:39
Speaker 1: there aren't some weird things that need to be investigated
34:41
Speaker 1: that could be quote-unquote considered conspiracy theories. But here on
34:46
Speaker 1: this podcast, it's not about what I know. It's about
34:50
Speaker 1: what I feel like I can prove. And for me,
34:53
Speaker 1: the proof is in the pudding that any prosecutor who
34:56
Speaker 1: was working on Jeffrey Epstein's case should not become a judge.
35:03
Speaker 1: All right, folks, that's going to do it for this episode.
35:05
Speaker 1: If you'd like to contact me, you can do that
35:07
Speaker 1: at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can
35:16
Speaker 1: also find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. The
35:23
Speaker 1: link that I discussed can be found in the description box.
35:27
Speaker 1: Lucky Land Casino. Hey, what's up, everybody? We have talked, obviously,
35:32
Speaker 1: a lot about Acosta and his role in the non-prosecution
35:38
Speaker 1: agreement with Jeffrey Epstein. Now, I have always contended that
35:43
Speaker 1: it went much higher up the chain, that that was
35:46
Speaker 1: not a decision that Acosta made on his own, and
35:50
Speaker 1: that Mukasey and Mark Philippe, the Attorney General and the
35:54
Speaker 1: Deputy Attorney General, that both of them had to be
35:58
Speaker 1: involved in and that their office would have to sign
36:01
Speaker 1: off on a deal like this. And in the new
36:03
Speaker 1: court filings by Maxwell's lawyers, they're asserting the same thing.
36:08
Speaker 1: They're saying that top Department of Justice officials were the
36:12
Speaker 1: ones who okayed the deal. And we know that that's
36:18
Speaker 1: the case. We know that Mark Philippe is the one
36:20
Speaker 1: who signed off on it. So as much as Maxwell's
36:25
Speaker 1: lawyers have been wrong in this case... In this instance,
36:28
Speaker 1: they most certainly are correct. This went all the way
36:31
Speaker 1: up to the most tippity top of the Department of Justice.
36:37
Speaker 1: This is not the sort of case, not the sort
36:39
Speaker 1: of decision that was going to be made by a
36:43
Speaker 1: state prosecutor like Acosta. Not in a million years. And
36:54
Speaker 1: what I'll do is I'm going to post a couple
36:56
Speaker 1: of links in the description box to go along with
36:58
Speaker 1: this article where you can see for yourself in the
37:02
Speaker 1: actual court documents that Mark Philippe is the one who
37:06
Speaker 1: signed off on this and that it wasn't just Acosta
37:10
Speaker 1: making this decision all on his own. And now, again,
37:15
Speaker 1: Acosta is a spineless coward, right? He deserved to be fired.
37:19
Speaker 1: He deserved to be ridiculed. And he deserved to be
37:24
Speaker 1: put on the spot about what went on here. But
37:28
Speaker 1: he's nothing more than a scapegoat, in my opinion. We
37:32
Speaker 1: haven't heard anything from Mark Philippe. We haven't heard anything
37:35
Speaker 1: from Mukasey. Why would they sign off on this deal?
37:38
Speaker 1: Why would they be okay with it? Why was Mark
37:41
Speaker 1: Philippe and Mukasey speaking with Lefkowitz? See, none of that
37:46
Speaker 1: stuff was even dug into by the legacy media, was it? Why,
37:51
Speaker 1: no political footballs to spike? No points to gain? I've
37:58
Speaker 1: said from the very beginning that Acosta was being scapegoated here.
38:03
Speaker 1: And it's all going to come out as this case
38:06
Speaker 1: moves forward. It wasn't Acosta who made this deal. It
38:12
Speaker 1: was Mukasey and Philippe and the top brass over at
38:18
Speaker 1: the Department of Justice. So let's jump into this article
38:21
Speaker 1: from the New York Post by the author Ben Feuerherd
38:25
Speaker 1: and see what exactly they're talking about. Headline, top Department
38:32
Speaker 1: of Justice officials okayed Epstein non-prosecution deal. Maxwell lawyers. And
38:40
Speaker 1: it's a fact. We can confirm that. Like I said,
38:42
Speaker 1: I've read the court filings. They've been out there forever.
38:44
Speaker 1: So I'm going to post a link to those and
38:47
Speaker 1: you can check them out yourself where it says that
38:50
Speaker 1: Mark Philippe had to, uh, he signed off on it. His,
38:53
Speaker 1: his signature is the one that's on the actual agreement.
38:57
Speaker 1: So what he just, you, you want me to believe
38:59
Speaker 1: that the deputy attorney general is just willy nilly signing
39:02
Speaker 1: everything and anything that comes across his desk, like a
39:05
Speaker 1: rubber stamp, because that's the assertion that, that, that is
39:10
Speaker 1: being made about all of these supposedly really powerful, smart
39:14
Speaker 1: people that they just sign whatever they don't vet who
39:17
Speaker 1: they're hanging out with. They don't look at where their
39:19
Speaker 1: money's coming from. They want us to believe that they're
39:22
Speaker 1: all just a bunch of absolute morons, I guess. And
39:26
Speaker 1: all of their fortunes just magically appeared and they just
39:29
Speaker 1: have to luck into them. I guess that's what all
39:32
Speaker 1: of these so-called elites want us to believe. The non-prosecution
39:40
Speaker 1: agreement that spared multimillionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein federal sex trafficking
39:45
Speaker 1: charges in the early 2000s was certified at the highest
39:50
Speaker 1: levels of the Justice Department. Lawyers for alleged cohort, co-conspirator,
39:55
Speaker 1: fellow child molester, general all-around scuzzbag and bipedal serpent, Ghislaine Maxwell,
40:01
Speaker 1: charged in court documents unsealed Thursday. So, again, those assertions
40:11
Speaker 1: are facts. Those statements are facts. This wasn't just an
40:14
Speaker 1: Acosta deal. This wasn't something Acosta could have approved on
40:17
Speaker 1: his own if he wanted to. If you've ever worked
40:21
Speaker 1: in a corporate structure, you understand how it works. If
40:25
Speaker 1: you have a project that you're working on as a department,
40:28
Speaker 1: that has to get kicked up. And then the head
40:30
Speaker 1: of the department takes a look at it and he
40:32
Speaker 1: decides what's what. It's no different here. Acosta approaches headquarters
40:38
Speaker 1: with the situation. And then the situation advises Acosta of
40:42
Speaker 1: what to do. You think the year worth of missing
40:46
Speaker 1: emails wouldn't paint the picture? You think the year's worth
40:49
Speaker 1: of missing emails wouldn't tie up some of these loose ends?
40:54
Speaker 1: But they want you to believe that that's a coincidence
40:56
Speaker 1: as well. That's just part of the absolute screw-up by
41:00
Speaker 1: the federal government. In the filing, Maxwell's attorney sought to
41:07
Speaker 1: dismiss federal charges she now faces for allegedly procuring underage
41:12
Speaker 1: girls for Epstein and lying about it under oath by
41:16
Speaker 1: claiming she is subject to the same agreement he signed
41:19
Speaker 1: in 2007. So again, she's hinging a lot of her
41:24
Speaker 1: hopes on this non-prosecution agreement providing her with protection and coverage. Now,
41:34
Speaker 1: she is not named in this agreement, remember, but you
41:40
Speaker 1: have the Department of Justice, Mukasey, and Philippe, who decided
41:46
Speaker 1: that that's all good. No worries. We'll have it named
41:50
Speaker 1: and unnamed co-conspirators. It always cracked me up when people
41:55
Speaker 1: were acting like Acosta was the one. who authored all
42:00
Speaker 1: of this, and he was the architect of all of this,
42:03
Speaker 1: and he was operating on his own, and that's not
42:05
Speaker 1: how it works. That is not how the bureaucracy of
42:09
Speaker 1: the United States government works, and it most certainly is
42:13
Speaker 1: not how the Department of Justice works. When they have
42:16
Speaker 1: a high-profile case like this, it is all hands on deck.
42:22
Speaker 1: Especially when when you have the Attorney General and the
42:26
Speaker 1: Deputy Attorney General being contacted by these high-profile lawyers who
42:31
Speaker 1: were engaged in months-long back-and-forth to get this non-prosecution deal
42:36
Speaker 1: signed and delivered. Anyone that believes Acosta had that kind
42:43
Speaker 1: of power is just not paying attention to what's really
42:48
Speaker 1: going on here. The state attorney generals have a decent
42:53
Speaker 1: amount of power, right? No doubt about it. They can
42:55
Speaker 1: bring charges. They can subpoena. They have a lot of power.
42:59
Speaker 1: But when it comes to high profile people like Jeffrey Epstein,
43:04
Speaker 1: Acosta is so out of his league that it's not
43:07
Speaker 1: even funny. And you see that. They had so little
43:11
Speaker 1: respect for him, meaning the defense team from Jeffrey Epstein's side.
43:14
Speaker 1: They had so little respect for him. They went directly
43:17
Speaker 1: over his head to Felipe. and Mukasey. And he was
43:21
Speaker 1: just a puppet on a string. And the real puppeteers
43:25
Speaker 1: were obviously Epstein's lawyers and their buddy-buddy friends in the
43:29
Speaker 1: Department of Justice above Acosta. Now, if Acosta was worth
43:35
Speaker 1: his weight, he would have stood up to all of
43:37
Speaker 1: this and said, no way, this is egregious. We have
43:40
Speaker 1: to prosecute this dude federally, and we have to do
43:43
Speaker 1: it to the fullest extent of the law. But he
43:46
Speaker 1: didn't do that. He's just another noodle-backed, lifelong politician who
43:52
Speaker 1: went with the flow. Oh, this is what my bosses want.
43:54
Speaker 1: I'm not going to make any waves. I'm just going
43:57
Speaker 1: to let them do whatever they want. And we'll let
43:59
Speaker 1: this sick prick cop to one count of prostitution. In
44:05
Speaker 1: what alternate reality does that sound like a good idea?
44:09
Speaker 1: Because here where we're at in actual reality, it most
44:14
Speaker 1: certainly is not. The court filing includes a copy of
44:23
Speaker 1: the deal signed by then-Florida federal prosecutor Alexander Acosta and
44:28
Speaker 1: details how the atypical agreement which barred Epstein from facing
44:33
Speaker 1: federal prosecution if he copped to a one-count state indictment
44:37
Speaker 1: was agreed upon. So, again, this just goes to show
44:42
Speaker 1: you that Acosta was the middleman. He signed off on
44:45
Speaker 1: this deal because his bosses told him to. He wasn't
44:49
Speaker 1: sitting there saying, you know what, I'm going to do
44:52
Speaker 1: what I want here, and I'm just going to sign
44:53
Speaker 1: this deal, and that's going to be the end of it. No.
44:58
Speaker 1: What he is is a coward, a through-and-through coward, no
45:02
Speaker 1: questions asked, no spine, no backbone, and no courage in him.
45:08
Speaker 1: He got run roughshod by headquarters. They ran right over
45:13
Speaker 1: him like a four-foot man trying to tackle Saquon Barkley.
45:25
Speaker 1: Maxwell's attorneys claim in the filing that the agreement was
45:28
Speaker 1: heavily negotiated over approximately eight months and was approved by
45:33
Speaker 1: senior levels of Maine, Maine justice in Washington, DC. And yeah,
45:39
Speaker 1: there's no doubt about that. It really, that's really what happened.
45:44
Speaker 1: And I knew it would eventually come out in this
45:47
Speaker 1: case as it moved forward. And we got into the
45:49
Speaker 1: discovery phase and the, the defense was, brought it to
45:54
Speaker 1: the forefront that this was a... using it as a
45:57
Speaker 1: part of their strategy, right? Well, even the top brass
46:01
Speaker 1: at the Department of Justice thought this was a good idea.
46:04
Speaker 1: Trying to use that to bolster their argument, when in reality,
46:08
Speaker 1: that goes against any sane person's argument, considering we all
46:12
Speaker 1: know how corrupt these sons of bitches are. Sure, let's
46:15
Speaker 1: trust George Bush's Department of Justice to do the right thing.
46:21
Speaker 1: That never led us to disaster. It adds that the
46:29
Speaker 1: agreement approved by the office of the deputy attorney general
46:34
Speaker 1: before it was signed, allowing Epstein to avoid federal prosecution
46:38
Speaker 1: in Florida for trafficking underage girls to sexually abuse. Now,
46:43
Speaker 1: they don't even say his name in the article, and
46:46
Speaker 1: I don't know why, but I'll say his name once
46:48
Speaker 1: again for you. Mark Philippe was the deputy attorney general
46:52
Speaker 1: under Michael Mukasey, who signed off on this. It was
46:56
Speaker 1: his office who signed off on it. His office that
47:00
Speaker 1: directed Acosta to make this deal. His office that put
47:05
Speaker 1: the stamp on it. Is there no accountability for people
47:09
Speaker 1: in management, for people in the upper levels? Is it
47:12
Speaker 1: only the frontline so-called dispensable people that are held accountable?
47:19
Speaker 1: Because that's certainly what it looks like. got the two
47:23
Speaker 1: guards they're held accountable Acosta takes all the blame like
47:29
Speaker 1: he's the fall guy whereas there's plenty of blame to
47:33
Speaker 1: be spread around and after Acosta was taken out the
47:38
Speaker 1: focus should have been put right on Philippe and Mukasey
47:41
Speaker 1: and it should have went all the way to the
47:43
Speaker 1: top and not just stopped at Acosta the way it
47:46
Speaker 1: did to score a couple of political points Lawyers for Epstein,
47:53
Speaker 1: who killed himself, allegedly, in a lower Manhattan jail cell
47:57
Speaker 1: in 2019, have said previously that the deal was certified
48:01
Speaker 1: at the highest levels of the Justice Department. And it was. Again,
48:06
Speaker 1: you know, you can look at these documents yourself. They're
48:08
Speaker 1: all out there. You can look at all of it.
48:10
Speaker 1: Mark Philippe, his signature is the one on the documents.
48:14
Speaker 1: His office is the one that gave the okay. And
48:17
Speaker 1: there's no spinning that. That's just the reality of the situation.
48:25
Speaker 1: In the filing, Maxwell's attorney said the agreement should apply
48:29
Speaker 1: to her right now and spare her from the indictment
48:32
Speaker 1: she's currently facing in the Southern District of New York.
48:35
Speaker 1: And again, remember, that's why she's bringing this up. She's
48:39
Speaker 1: bringing it up because she believes it bolsters her case.
48:42
Speaker 1: That the top brass at the Department of Justice signed
48:45
Speaker 1: off on this. These are the top guys in the world.
48:48
Speaker 1: Why would they sign off on it if she did
48:50
Speaker 1: anything wrong? And meanwhile... Even in death, Jeffrey Epstein's reputation
49:03
Speaker 1: is being refurbished by the behavior of the Department of Justice.
49:10
Speaker 1: What a world we live in. The parties to the
49:16
Speaker 1: NPA clearly intended to confer a benefit on anyone and
49:20
Speaker 1: all of Epstein's potential co-conspirators in explicitly giving them immunity,
49:25
Speaker 1: the filing states. Under the well-established principles of general contract law,
49:31
Speaker 1: and particularly under the law relating to non-prosecution agreements, any
49:36
Speaker 1: and all of Epstein's potential co-conspirators are third-party beneficiaries of
49:42
Speaker 1: the NPA, it adds. And there's really no disputing that, unfortunately.
49:47
Speaker 1: That is what they signed off on. That is what
49:51
Speaker 1: the Attorney General and his deputy gave the okay to.
49:55
Speaker 1: That's what they put their stamp of approval on. And
49:57
Speaker 1: there's no getting around that. And we're not going to
50:01
Speaker 1: let that bone go here on the podcast. We're going
50:04
Speaker 1: to keep driving that home. And I wonder if the
50:07
Speaker 1: legacy media, with all of their fancy resources, are ever
50:11
Speaker 1: going to track down Mukasey and ask him or ask
50:14
Speaker 1: Mark Philippe what's going on, get him to go on
50:17
Speaker 1: record and talk about this. Maxwell is pleaded not guilty
50:25
Speaker 1: to allegedly procuring girls for Epstein to abuse and to
50:28
Speaker 1: lying about it under oath. She's being held in a
50:31
Speaker 1: federal jail in Brooklyn pending trial, exactly where she belongs,
50:37
Speaker 1: in a jail cell awaiting trial. Well, folks, I've been
50:43
Speaker 1: talking about this for a long time now, and I'm
50:46
Speaker 1: glad to see that it's starting to get a little
50:48
Speaker 1: bit of tread on. I'm glad to see that it's
50:51
Speaker 1: out there in the papers a little bit. And I
50:53
Speaker 1: hope more people get hip to the fact that while
50:56
Speaker 1: Acosta certainly was part of the problem, he wasn't the
51:00
Speaker 1: problem in itself. It went all the way up to
51:03
Speaker 1: the very top of the Department of Justice. And still,
51:07
Speaker 1: Mukasey and Philippe have not answered any questions about how
51:11
Speaker 1: or why they would sign off on such a ridiculous
51:17
Speaker 1: non-prosecution agreement that afforded such protections to known and unknown entities.
