Transcript
- 0:55[SPEAKER_07]: What will one day be remembered as the war of tooth and claw has taken ten years from this realm and thousands of lives?
- 1:07[SPEAKER_07]: Ten years since the assassination of Waterle the Pigeon Night on that fateful night that began all of this.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_07]: The war has twisted and turned countless times since the front pushing across the southern half of this realm back and forth.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_07]: Battles have been given grand names, heroes of war have been celebrated and then mourned.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_07]: The songs are getting more somber, the morale shaker, but war continues.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_07]: In those ten years, you've spent time together, time apart, time at arms and even time
- 1:51[SPEAKER_07]: I would love to see a moment of that time from each of you.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_07]: If you could tell me a moment from this past 10 years and how long it's been since that moment.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_04]: I remember training so Pasca.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_04]: There was a night after my blessing came into effect, they chose to include myself in train with the statue.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_04]: That's your my daughter, the statue, that is my weapon, that's the ruined night.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_07]: And so Pasco approached asking if they can train with me.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_04]: I'd admit at first I was a bit, um,
- 2:38[SPEAKER_04]: frustrated with the Unlotsful Company, but I think I think of definitely a thing that I needed.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_04]: You knew that first he was an asswar.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: And Pasco was grateful for all of the help.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_04]: I even tried given Pasco their own probably smaller pillar rather than a foot unstatched to see if they could wield that and it became clear that there wasn't exactly the favorite weapon, but was he Swifle's trick training at a very least?
- 3:07[SPEAKER_04]: How long do you think it's been Pasco, since this was a big memory?
- 3:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's specific memory.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think would have been early.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think Pasco would have, after the feast, probably tried to approach you earlier than not.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: And just be a part of your life and have you be a part of theirs, especially knowing now the things you've lost with your daughter.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: Oh.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_04]: So I think that first memory,
- 3:46[SPEAKER_01]: Probably about seven years ago, you all were helping in a small town in Crumbling's Ridge.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_07]: Ooh, Crumbling's Ridge is a good name.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_07]: I do like that.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: And while you were there, you met a bunch of town folks and Pasco started spending more and more time in town while the retinue of soldiers were just outside.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: Over time, you started to notice Pasco coming back to camp later and later and then occasionally, not coming back to just before dawn, appearing as if they'd just been helping with the horses.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: In that time that you spent in crumbling's ridge, Pasco met a lovely,
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: widow were and his family and they started a bit of a relationship first.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: He was just helping at their farm.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: So just helping at, um, of varils farm and getting to know him and his lovely family, varils having lost his wife about two years prior just after the start of the war.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: The kids, honestly, at this point, after all the years that have gone by, Pasco always goes back to this town now in between engagements.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: Pasco spends time with the children,
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a very, very sweet little VV, the youngest daughter, she's nine.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: There's Vincent the Sun.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: He's just turned 13.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's a bit of a handful.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: And Valenta, which Pasca has named their heir.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_01]: Valenta is a headstrong young woman and just so impressive.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_01]: She's 17 now.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_04]: We have to protect Pasco at all costs.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_04]: We have to protect Pasco at all costs.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_03]: If that wasn't already true, it wasn't.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_04]: It already was.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_03]: Definitely true, definitely.
- 5:55[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_04]: Now it's in the robot, actually.
- 5:59[UNKNOWN]: Exactly.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: Part of the rules.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_02]: Plot armor, Elliot.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, for sure.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, for sure.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's Dave's art class.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, giving him a name to NPCs that you love is such a good idea.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_06]: It's wild with the Pasco at the right age of 24, 25 is already named in air and I have not done anything.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: Right, I guess at this point.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, 34.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_07]: 34 now.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_07]: 34.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_07]: Like I said.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_07]: How long ago did you get married, proper?
- 6:32[SPEAKER_01]: Proper seven years ago.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, you got married quick after meeting each other.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Pasco's just very, Pasco knows what they want.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_05]: Pasco knows what they want.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that meeting this family and becoming a part of it and just all of that was everything that they had been hoping for and more I think than they could have ever dreamed of.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: And so,
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: They've created a beautiful little life for themselves that they always go back to after the fighting and they have a very special place in their heart for crumblings' ridge and this sweet little family and the air that he spent his time kind of creating.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_06]: And who was your best man?
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: Well, obviously, Andre is the best man.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: And after all of the training, I think Sir Bronwyn has been asked to be a God parent, as well as Ruskin.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: And that was only because Andre is older, a little bit older.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a personal thing.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_07]: Wasn't about Andrew's fitness to raise a child?
- 7:37[SPEAKER_07]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 8:06[SPEAKER_07]: and a rescue.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_02]: If again we're going in sort of a chronological, I'll say this happened about four years ago, so we're six years into the war.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_03]: Ruskin is not aging gracefully, is not handling this war particularly well, the things that they've always struggled with most with knighthood are the ugly parts.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_03]: The times where sort of motivations are a little, it's a gray area of who's right, who's wrong, or depends on what your size you're on and the repetition of violence is something that has weighed on Ruskin, you know, not really given ample time.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_03]: I think this was a particularly tough time in the war as well of things ramped up.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_03]: They died down and then they ramped back up again in this
- 9:04[SPEAKER_03]: But something that has always been helpful to Ruskin and getting through these is practicing sort of Legends and honor and the memory we see is of this time of of all of us sitting together and Ruskin being somewhat exhausted and having a hard time.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_03]: It's actually crafting.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_03]: I sort of story and song together
- 9:32[SPEAKER_03]: Whereas usually Ruskin would very much take charge in writing the way that this event or battle or tale should be told is really letting Pasco weigh in.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_03]: Brandwin is offering fantastic old school language and these vocabulary words that paints such as stunning picture and then entry adding
- 9:55[SPEAKER_03]: all of these crazy, like really amping up what happened and tried to rustkins barely pulling it back down to reality.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_03]: Seeing the togetherness of taking a moment to honor what they are doing and why it is important.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_06]: Sometimes you just got to add a little bit more to the story so that the listener feels like what we felt in the moment.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_06]: Wait a minute.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_06]: Say that again.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_07]: I think that this, this night that you built this story as a group was after a particularly hard bit of battling like you said and a lot of the younger soldiers sort of put under your charge by Well, actually, I don't know what side of the war, Ruskin's on at this point.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_03]: Ruskin is on the war nights side, and I think regardless of anything else that has happened in this war and the nuance of right and wrong and sides, it was the dirtiness of that initial assassination that Ruskin kind of can't forgive.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_05]: entry going in chronological order as well.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_05]: I think maybe just two or three years ago.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_05]: after seeing Serpasco get wed, being the best man at their wedding, and seeing Pasco notably name an heir, Andre became extremely aware of their age for a moment.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_05]: And I think are always kind of new this, but it kind of came into sharp relief for a moment, and recognize that he needed to look for some kind of successor should the worst come about.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_05]: started looking but no one really came to the forefront.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_05]: No one really impressed him in any way.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_05]: He didn't really know what he was doing.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_05]: Like he'd only been a knight for a couple of years.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_05]: He didn't know what he was supposed to do to find a squire or find a successor.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_05]: And then he was approached by a young boy maybe 14 or 15 years old who introduced himself as prior and prior is the grandson of
- 12:28[SPEAKER_05]: who was raised for a number of years throughout the early parts of this war on stories of this band of knights that saved his grandmother's.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_05]: I think he initially went out in search of Sir Pasco.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_05]: And I think Serpascot knew that this is what Andrew was looking for and was like, hey, buddy, let bunch of head over to this guy and in the past couple of years, Andrew has been training prior and has had him nighted as the Weaver night.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, Oh, that's fun.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, wait, that's really good.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_05]: It's very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very perfect.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_05]: What's crazy is I rolled that at random.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_05]: That's crazy.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_07]: It was really crazy.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_05]: It's also some of his stats are absolutely nuts in that he was knighted by the armored sear.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_05]: Andrey was a blacksmith.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_05]: The armored sear can like see through every piece of armor and weapon in the realm.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_03]: What?
- 13:32[SPEAKER_03]: X-ray vision.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_05]: Like, no, like, see, like, like, as if they were them as if they were the person.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, uh, so they're like, let's call it this connection and then came and found prior in order to, like, elevate him to a night.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_05]: Just to give you guys a sense of this person, I rolled some stats for this character who will be the next night I play should the worst come to pass for it.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_05]: Started off really strong.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_05]: Just as a reminder, Andrew stats were awful.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_02]: Your horse was better.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_05]: My horse was better in almost every category.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_05]: Prior's guard, Andrew's was one.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_05]: Prior's is four.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_05]: Andrew's vigor was ten.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_05]: Prior's vigor, 14.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: So this is what you gives you.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_05]: This is you.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_05]: This is he is a spy and strapping 15 years old.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_05]: Do you know what else youth gives you?
- 14:30[SPEAKER_05]: We're looking at clarity too.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_05]: That's right.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_05]: That's right.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, let's go.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_07]: No, stupid stupid boy.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, not a double one.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_02]: Double one.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_07]: Double one.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: I missed boy in school.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_02]: So pretty though.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_05]: So pretty.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_05]: So pretty.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_05]: Quarterback with the community.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_05]: And so well dressed.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_05]: I think his grandmothers have hooked him up with like all the best finance that they could make.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_05]: And whereas Andrew's spirit was 11 prior spirit is six.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: Dang.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_05]: But he's beefy.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_05]: He's beefy.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_05]: But he's he's got a lot of grown up to do still.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_03]: And to be honest, as you despite his age, I don't think Surandre is necessarily the best person to teach someone how to grow up.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_05]: But if anything could be said, it could be said that prior certainly still needs a mentor and certainly still needs Surandre.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's really nice.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_07]: And following him around the battlefield has made his vigor high very quickly.
- 15:35[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: Just protecting Andre over and over.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_03]: Your Ruskin at some point was like, I just can't take so many horses to the chest anymore.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to teach you to kind of do some leaping.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: I think maybe Sir Ruskin taught prior water to leaping motions to dodge the front of entry.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_05]: I think Sir Ruskin also taught him some close-up magic because Oh, really?
- 16:02[SPEAKER_05]: His ability is warp and weft.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_05]: Swap the positions of an object you are holding and another object you can see.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_05]: That's close.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_03]: Why are we all good at close-up magic is it becoming a band of magicians?
- 16:14[SPEAKER_04]: This is actually nice you see me for
- 16:21[SPEAKER_07]: These are all beautiful memories from a hard 10 years.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_07]: But of course, there's one more thing we have to do.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_07]: And I don't want to do it.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_07]: Oh no.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_05]: You don't want to do it.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_07]: I don't.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_07]: We have to roll for the change in Andrew's vigor, because Andrew is an old character.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_07]: And we have moved in age.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_07]: Brian, as you know, you must roll 1d12 and subtract that from your vigor.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_07]: And if it is zero, andry dies peacefully.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_05]: I know I said I wanted to do this.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_05]: I know I said I wanted to die off screen.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_05]: And I know I said I wanted to do this, but it is a lot.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, so Andrews, Vigor Max is 10.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_05]: Rolling at E-12, that means 75% chance I am, Dougherung, worse for the wear.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yeah, you'll still be crusty, even if the roll goes well.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, crusty, yeah.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_05]: But I'll still be able to be there for prior and teach him for a little bit longer.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_05]: Everyone ready?
- 17:23[SPEAKER_05]: No.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_05]: No.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_05]: That's a 10.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_07]: a bell rings.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_07]: It's reverberations ripple across the still midday air.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_07]: The sun above glows like the molten core of a blacksmith's forge.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_07]: Gravity beats on ferris slab, thick air a crimson sheen, each malin stroke leaves scars
- 18:03[SPEAKER_07]: The final stanza of a poem, spoken by a short, partly man with a permanent grimace.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_07]: His wrinkled face betrays no emotion, but if you look close you can see a single tear, pool at the bottom of one of his eyes.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_07]: The funeral is well attended.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_07]: A grumpy old man named Grnoke.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_07]: A few soldiers who served alongside Andrea in the war, the war night herself has even left the front to attend and show her respect.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_07]: Her eyes hollowed with grief or simply maybe the exhaustion of years of warfare.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_07]: The coffin
- 18:54[SPEAKER_07]: that holds entry is made of strong iron, a series of lines etched into its surface, and to the side, a raging fire keeps four crucibles bolt in hot.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_07]: Which of you, if any, are in attendance and would like to speak?
- 19:23[SPEAKER_03]: is absolutely here, and despite the fact that Ruskin was sort of a reluctant tutor or guide for injuries early entry to nighthood, developed real love and admiration for injury that injury really did pick up on.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_03]: Andrew really did embody what a night is, especially Ruskin's idea of nightlyness and Sir Ruskin gets up to speak, and recites a old poem.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_03]: recounting Andrew's greatest deeds and knowing that this is the way that Andrew would want.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_03]: It is I a performance for the ages.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_03]: It's it's over the top.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_03]: It's dramatic.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_03]: You almost want there to be props.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_03]: There isn't because Ruskin has more self respect close up magic.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_02]: There's no close up magic, but you can't just think for a moment that there might be.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_03]: It's bold and a celebratory and though Ruskin does not actively shed tears or cry and because Ruskin thinks the ceremony and that this is part of being a night and things, you can tell when they are not up and they are not speaking and the attention is not on them.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_03]: If you were to look over at Sir Ruskin, you would see that they are deeply sad and will hold Sir Andrew with them for a long time.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_07]: Once you finish your speech, you're handed one of these cruisables.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_07]: And you're able to put your hand on it and not be burned or sinched.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_07]: Some parent power of the spirit of the forge knight, below you.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_07]: And you pour molten silver into this iron pattern on the coffin and it begins to fill the ridges.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: I like to tell a story for it in something.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: Understand, I've never been in charge of the tell-in of things.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's Andrew's job, but I'm gonna try today.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: Once one time, they lived two Lily Workers, Sublacksmith, in a stable hand, and though many years divided them, they were best friends.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: And they shared one thing.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: One thing specifically is the hope to one day live a life bigger
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I still blame Andrew for the night thing.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: I was a really my plan.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't want him do all that, but I would think that he really loved it.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_01]: And so we've gone along with it and things have worked out.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: OK, anyway, the blacksmith went on to do many nightly things.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: He skewed an ogre straight through the face once, met a talking crocodile in that crocodile.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: So flew, he challenged, and best did name nights throughout the land.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: We fought for justice.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: He mentored the youth.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: He wove his very self into the lives of everyone around him, enriching and embellishing the stories of anyone who crossed his path, and most important than all of that he was my best friend.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: He leaves a shadow on all the lives, when that makes him feel like a man that was impossibly tall.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: However, he loved a little white lie in his story telling, so when you tell all the tale of
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: Miss you, buddy.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really sad.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, rust good pets, pass, go on the shoulder when you come back.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_07]: Pasco, you're similarly handed one of these cruisables to pour onto the coffin.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: And they do, and head down, never looking at any one kind of a little sparkle in the eye.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_07]: Brian, when are you at the funeral?
- 23:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_04]: I think I'm at the back quiet, not in any armor or galia, I'm probably in.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_04]: Nothing more than really playing close in the cloak, if I could, over my head.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_04]: But I think as I see, there's crucible being part of another soldier that's about to walk up and speak.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_04]: I will make my way forward taking the crucible from this soldier before they can together hats on it.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_04]: As I look down at this coffin, and then at the two nights of passcode so raskin' who I haven't seen in just over a year now.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think you'd come,
- 24:14[SPEAKER_04]: I'll be honest, I wasn't sure I would.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_04]: The endry was a lot of things.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_04]: Sometimes everything is excitable.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_04]: A bit naive and childish, even for his age.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_04]: But he was a good man.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_04]: In the times we are in right now, I think this is the most merciful way he could man.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_04]: Can move on.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_07]: I think one more night's steps forward to say something about his late mentor.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_05]: You see, supplier, to say young man is even generous.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_05]: This is a 17, 18 year old boy who has had to do a lot of growing up in just the past couple
- 25:14[SPEAKER_05]: learning the hard way what a night has to be.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_05]: In a way that I think Andrew had a crash course, but Sir prior has maybe even a harder crash course.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_05]: You see a night incredibly handsome, incredibly brawny
- 25:30[SPEAKER_05]: He is adorned in these gorgeously woven and colorful vestments that his grandmothers gave him and gifted him and sent him on occasion because even though he ran away from home at the tender age of 14 or 15, they obviously still love and care from and want him to look good.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_05]: But he moves to speak and you see he's holding something in his hand a letter on
- 25:58[SPEAKER_05]: and it's sealed with a little bit of metal as like rather than a wax seal.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_02]: So heavy.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_05]: So heavy.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_05]: He looks down at the coffin and the silver inlay is being a fill.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_05]: And before he grabs the crystal himself, he opens this letter to find the last words of
- 26:28[SPEAKER_06]: And something I want to tell you that I think you will only believe if it comes from me.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_06]: You will be fine without me.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_06]: You are strong.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_06]: Stronger than me.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_06]: And you have so much more time than I ever did to learn all the lessons that you'll need.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_06]: Trust, Seruskin, and Supasco, and even Subranwen should you two ever cross paths again.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_06]: I did.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_06]: and it led me on the adventure of a lifetime.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_06]: These are the lessons I've learned from my brief, but beautiful stint as a night.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_06]: Remember to know what you do not know, keep your eyes fixed on the horizon, and always dress in easily doffable layers of blankets.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_06]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_06]: You get colder as you get older, even if you're the fortnight.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_06]: And as always, remember, to seek the myths on the seas and protect the realm.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_06]: And if I may add a fourth commandment to that trilogy, if I may be so bold,
- 27:48[SPEAKER_05]: and it's signed in a beautiful silver hand.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_05]: It's maybe surprisingly elegant for this very hardened blacksmith.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe the one thing, the one like, find a read that he practiced from Cermauskin.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_05]: And at the very bottom, scrolled in pencil, clearly like, added some time after the fact.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_06]: PS, I spoke with my CEO one last time, and they told me that the path you seek is marked with a sword.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_06]: So, enjoy that.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_06]: Also, the war night owes me a favor, so be sure to cash in on that if you ever in a pinch.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: What a game.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_05]: I confirmed tonight that these were telling it.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_05]: I just grabbed the bear in a frame.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_05]: There's no way it's gonna stay in no right now.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_07]: prior, you are handed the forth-crucible.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_05]: Surprior receives the crucible and kind of looks down into the molten silver swimming inside of it and begins to pour it out over the coffin to join with the rest of it.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_05]: And I think just kind of quietly says aloud, I don't know if I'm ready for this.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_03]: Sir Ruskin is going to put a hand on prior's shoulder and say, you already because the sear declared it so.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_01]: Sir Pasco is going to put a hand on surprise other side and say, well, you're not ready.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: They do that too and it's okay.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: You're in the right place.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_07]: Thanks, like us.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_07]: One last question for Andrew, as the Moton Silver Hardens on this coffin, I don't think I ever got the chance to ask.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_07]: What was Andrew's hairled tree?
- 29:48[SPEAKER_05]: Andrew's hairled tree was a rising sun.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_07]: And as the silver fills the last of these inlaze on the coffin, you see glowing in the sunshine overhead, a silver sun.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_07]: The four of you, once again, are each handed a rope to assist with lowering the forge knight into the dirt.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_07]: As you begin the slow release of that rope, a hunched figure carrying a rusted bell steps forward, ringing it between each line as you recite the myth in unison.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_07]: Seek them as the bell tolls On earth seas The bell tolls Protect the realm The coffin reaches the bottom of the hole
- 30:55[SPEAKER_07]: As the last of the three parts of the oath is spoken, protect the realm, brand when you look up, and see the war nights eyes, laser focused on you.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_07]: The woman you were once aligned with, in this war.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_07]: I meet her gaze, and I don't fall to.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_07]: Is there anything anyone would like to do before we come out of this memory of the funeral?
- 31:22[SPEAKER_03]: As the Magpainite, I have a pouch that has treasured mementos in it, and there's the table of mementos that you can roll for, and I rolled for a memento honoring
- 31:42[SPEAKER_03]: and so think that I have in my pouch a piece of your heraldry that I keep in there with me.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_03]: As a reminder of you and also to kind of take prior under Ruskin's wing in the same way that I did entry of not so much as a leader but just in a like, I'm going to help try to teach you what it is to be a knight.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_06]: You've just got a little ray of sunshine because that's what I was.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_01]: I would assume that Superann wins probably going to make a swift exit, and so before that surpass goes going to come over, just put a hand on a shoulder, make eye contact.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I think, say, I know why you've done it.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: I still don't think it's the right choice, but I hope you'll have, be, and the leaves.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_04]: It's a band of watches after you.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_04]: For moment, it turns and hits back to its heritory of the fact night.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_05]: And I think there's a moment as you're walking away that you feel a pair of eyes on your back of someone who has maybe never really known you, knowing who you are, and knowing that while everything else points to the contrary, the person he trusts most in the world said that you can be trusted.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_07]: and the bell tolls one final time.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_07]: Those reverberations ring out in your head as you remember the day of Andrew's funeral, months later.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_07]: On the day of what will one day be called, the Battle of the Bogg.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_07]: But today, it is just another day of fighting.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_07]: If you're ready to go into some war fairs, I don't know if you're ready to go into some war fairs.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know if you're ready to go into some war fairs.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you're ready to go into some war fairs.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if you're ready to go into some war fairs.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if you're ready to go into some war fairs.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if you're ready to go into some war fairs.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if you're ready to go into some war fairs.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if you're ready to go into some war fairs.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if you're ready to go into some war fairs.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if you're ready to go into some war fairs.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if you're ready to go into some war fairs.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if you're ready to go into
- 34:12[SPEAKER_07]: What the stories will leave out is the smell, the earthy smell of the kicked up mud by hundreds of horses.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_07]: The smell of soldiers weeks without washing, the lingering rot of corpses from battles passed and battle present.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_07]: The other thing they leave out is the sound.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_07]: The thunder's roar of hoof steps, a chorus of grunts and pain dills and the clanging of metal as you find yourselves in this battle, each leading a war band of at least two dozen men.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_07]: Oh my god, he's so crazy.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_07]: So proud of his first battle.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_07]: We are gonna do a little bit of warfare.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_07]: there is going to be two sides of this war.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_07]: One of you is on the opposite side.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_05]: We're really not fucking around this.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_05]: Episode three, Kill a person.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_05]: So far, split apart.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_05]: Episode four, have a war.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_07]: We have a little scale war.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_07]: So warbands function similar to individual combatants.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_07]: Here are some tweaks to the mechanics that happen.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_07]: So if you are operating a warband, you treat it as a single person or a single combatant.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_07]: When that warband is mortally wounded, they are routed away from the battle.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_07]: So if you take their vigor down to half, mortally wounded, they leave the battle.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_07]: They are not harmed by one-on-one attacks, so you cannot swing a sword at a warband and harm them meaningfully unless it is a blast attack or a suitably large-scale attack from a unartillery weapon, for example.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_05]: Just real quick, because it feels appropriate to ask, is Sir Brad would statue, consider.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm scared.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_07]: Brad, when tell me this, does your statue have blast baseline?
- 36:15[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, then I'm going to say no.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I'll have to spend it on blast.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_07]: Unless you use smite to give it blast.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_07]: Which I will be doing.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_06]: I will be doing.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_07]: Additionally, you can lead from the front, which is one individual within the Warband can add their personal attack dice to the Warband's attack rule, leading from the front.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_07]: If you do so, you suffer damage that the Warband does until your next turn.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_07]: So you can be the leader, lead from the front, like get up in the thick of it, but you will take individual damage that is equivalent to what the Warband takes.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_07]: What I'm gonna say is that each side has four warbands and two artillery weapons.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_07]: You can let me know if you would like to man a warband or an artillery weapon.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_07]: The artillery weapons have their own attacks and stats.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_07]: Also, where's this battle taking place you're asking?
- 37:13[SPEAKER_07]: That would be at hex eight comma 10.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_07]: Zibog.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_07]: Zibog.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_05]: Oh wow, very near the seat of power.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_05]: Do we know what type of war bands they are because there's militia skirmishers, mercenary raiders, knights?
- 37:30[SPEAKER_07]: We're going to say that each has one band of knights and two bands of skirmishers.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_07]: Nice.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_07]: Okay cool.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_03]: Whoo, Ruskin wants so badly to be leading from the front because it's the nightly thing to do, but with a vigor of nine and an armor of zero.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_04]: What do you mean Zico and Nine sounds great tonight?
- 37:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's Ruskin.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think also with the arrival of prior is allowing themselves a little bit to be like, you know what, maybe I don't need to be at the front.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: The younger generation could maybe help out.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_02]: I think I'll be manning in our tillery.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm certainly going to be yelling direction at everybody.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if they're listening, but on the war night side, I'm going to say that you have a trebuchet and a stone thrower and then on the
- 38:32[SPEAKER_03]: I gotta remember what a trebuchet.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_01]: The slingy one.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's what Ruskin's at.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_07]: Ruskin, your friend, Gwendo in the meteor knight, is also at the trebuchet.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_03]: Gwendo in.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_07]: We have not met yet, so we'll get into that.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_07]: The meteor knight feels appropriate for the trebuchet.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_03]: It does, yeah.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_03]: I think she's maybe the one who taught me how to use it.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_07]: When she gets really excited, she puts herself in it.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_07]: That's what I mean.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_02]: The human media, yes, you guys.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: Ruskin's got like a little bit of a, I'm fan-girling over her constantly.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, certainly.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_05]: Surprise is going to be with the war nights, the night's contingent.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_07]: And I'm going to say that like you can both be with one multiple people can be with one war band if they want.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_05]: Ruskin, where are you staying?
- 39:25[SPEAKER_05]: You're a trebuchet.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_03]: Ruskin is at the Trebuchet.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think leading the other nights.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_07]: The skirmishers?
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think there was two or no.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: So just, yeah, then this skirmisher.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_07]: There's one band of nights and two bands of skirmishers.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, then one of those skirmishers.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, great.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to say if I want to be one of the skirmishers or the nights.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_04]: I want to go with one of the skirmishers on longest.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_04]: I want to go with the nights.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, great.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_07]: two opposing war bands of knights meet in the center of me high mud and gunk.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_07]: Shit.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_07]: To the back, each has a band of skirmishers manning one of four artillery weapons.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_07]: On the fang night side, each group of skirmishers operates a bolt launcher, which is capable of dealing 2D12 damage.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_07]: On the war night side, prior rides with the band of knights at the front.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_07]: Pasco in the back with a band of skirmishers manning a stone thrower, which does a D12, and then Ruskin alongside a very fetching night named Gwendolyn operates the Trebuchet along with the other band of skirmishers.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_07]: And of course, Brandwin operates with the band of knights on the fang nightside.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_07]: I am going to let the side that has more of our party go first.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_07]: But before we do, oh no!
- 41:05[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe hear this, maybe you don't.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_04]: Or maybe you anticipate that out of sadness he might greet but you will.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_04]: The audience will hear me telling my warm hands.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_04]: Remember why I said last night, division, I saw.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_04]: A ban is torn by iron winds, a king's lust war.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_04]: The watcher works their broken horns and shuts the ancient door.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_04]: as I will again pick eight as my number for Distant U.S.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_04]: Sit down.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_04]: Very good.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_05]: It's just a good power to have as a one of one V3 battles.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_02]: I really can't.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_02]: Damn.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_05]: Shit, I'm wishing I had Andrea's abilities again.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_05]: They were all about like fighting.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_05]: Prior's abilities are all like, let's do a sleight of hand.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm looking forward to it.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was gonna say it's close up magic and I could recognize where your banners from.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_02]: And they're dying, be like, oh, yes, the house is supposed to be a proper burying.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_01]: How many people would you say are in this group of skirmishers?
- 42:22[SPEAKER_01]: Two dozen.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_01]: And like, we've prepared for battle.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, are you asking if you can seal all two dozen of them?
- 42:29[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, that's true.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, that's true.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_07]: And you know what?
- 42:33[SPEAKER_07]: I'm going to say that you sealed all of them.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_07]: And mechanically, let's say that that warband can use smite or deny, let's say three times.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_07]: That feel fair.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's so fair.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_07]: OK, cool.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_01]: I was trying to cheese it.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my god.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_01]: Because, like, 24-smits and denies.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_07]: No, no, no, no, no.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_07]: Those war bands that we have just established are a microcosm of a battle of hundreds, happening across this hexade.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_07]: This day will go down in history.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_07]: How it ends is up to the microcosm of this fight.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it was scary.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_07]: As the fighting begins in earnest, as metal meets metal, as metal meets flesh, as horse meets horse, a mist settles lightly over the land, and as those first few nights clang swords together, they are thrown back for a second by a flock of blood-red crows flying past in a hurry.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_05]: Who would like to tell me what they do first?
- 43:46[SPEAKER_05]: Surprior is, because he has a clarity of two.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_05]: He's not one for words, but he is one for actions.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_05]: And he simply takes to the front of this warband, raises his double-headed axe, it covered in his fine vestments all splash with mud and some blood, and turns to everyone and rather than using his own words,
- 44:12[SPEAKER_05]: Make your tail bigger than life!
- 44:16[SPEAKER_05]: And turns and runs and charges towards the fangd knights Warband.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_07]: And your knights steal themselves and follow you into battle.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_05]: What are you doing?
- 44:33[SPEAKER_05]: I'm making an attack, so the Knights have D8 hefty maces.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_05]: They have shields, which can add a D4.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_05]: They have Charger, which can add a D8 of trampled damage since we're charging.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_05]: Oh damn.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_05]: And I can also add, I believe my double-headed axe is D8 hefty.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_05]: And you're leading from the front, then.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_07]: I will say, because you are targeting brand-winds war-brand, brand-wind, if you would like to lead from the front, you can use deny, if you would, if you want.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, now I'll be leading from a front and I think especially seeing a night that was once under Sir N Gilly think that is from a front, I'll do the same.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_05]: I think the thing you see at Sir Brandman as Sir Prior Charge is forward is that the banner on his back is the same as Sir Andrews.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_05]: That of a rising sun, maybe with a bit of a double meeting in this particular case.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm going to be rolling Mace for the Knights, Charger for the Knights, my own Mace, that's 3d8s, plus a d4 shield for the Knights.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, I also have a bronze buckler for me, which also gives me an additional d4, and I would like to smite.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_05]: All right, add a d12.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I'm just going to do the d12 option because I don't need to do the blast thing since it's because you're attacking with a war band.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_07]: You do not need to do it because I'm leading a war band.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so one of my Dates is an eight and then my D-Fores are both ones my D my other Dates are both twos and my D12 is a one Oh my god, you know Oh, Jack, you don't even need to use dinner I think as the you can't charge me I think I see I yell at a charge forward Eights crowned fall And I'm gonna time to eight into a one
- 46:43[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god, brutal Bradwind.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_05]: So then I wrote all ones and twos.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_05]: Please describe.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_05]: So you do two damage, yes.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_05]: against armor three.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_05]: I think we crash into things and I think that there's a moment right before that crash happens that prior and all the nights next to him feel confident and then that echoing prophecy of Sir Brand went almost like rings out on the wind and all of the nights under his command raised their shields almost in unison and block each individual attack
- 47:21[SPEAKER_05]: just everything bouncing off.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_05]: And I think the thing that supplier feels is that moment of like Victoria'sness, like feeling Andrew's banner behind him, goes to make that attack feeling.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_05]: It's it's going to be like the start of his story.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_05]: And instead having it completely denied, he looks up and sees the person denying his physical attack rather than with a shield is with a giant statue.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_05]: and survivor locks eyes with Sir Brand one.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_07]: Anything prior as you're hitting these shields, you're seeing like quick flashes of Roonic energy.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_07]: How is Brand one look right now?
- 48:00[SPEAKER_07]: Where is his vibe at?
- 48:03[SPEAKER_04]: Bramman looks oddly calm as they meet, so priors weapon with their own, their stature.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_04]: And as prime meets, so Bramman's gaze, they would see, probably different to what they last saw to Latam, they saw each other, which was the NG's funeral.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_04]: He's missing an eye.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_04]: Ah!
- 48:24[SPEAKER_04]: to represent his loss of clarity, as he's holding this statue blocking the weapon that's a Priya just one at him.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_07]: Damn.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_07]: And indeed, an age has passed and your stats have changed.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_07]: Brainman, what is the new stats, Brad?
- 48:43[SPEAKER_04]: And you start spread is 17 Vigas, I would say the same.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_04]: 13 Clarity and 15 Spirits, but Clarity and Spirits went down a little bit.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_07]: Getting just a little gray in the hair, long in the tooth.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_07]: Still fucking beefy is all he's doing.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_02]: He's a 17, is it 16?
- 49:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_07]: I wrote a two.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_07]: Pascal or Ruskin, what would you like to do?
- 49:12[SPEAKER_01]: think Pasco is actively going to avoid sur-brand when's direction currently, just out of a feeling of sentimentality.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_01]: And so is focused in on one of the opposing skirmisher sets.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I think is just going to go with a full blown attack using the
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: what stone thrower so like a blast in this general area leading from the front of that section.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_07]: Great.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then the arrows that they can do as well.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, so a D12 for the stone thrower, a D6 for the short bow and then what die from you for leading from the front?
- 49:51[SPEAKER_01]: A D10.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_07]: A D10.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, hell yeah.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_07]: And are you smiting?
- 49:59[SPEAKER_02]: Ah, fuck it, we ball.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_07]: Fuck you, I just know D12.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, it's Pasco's new motto.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_07]: Which will not burn one of your warband smites since you're leading from the front.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_07]: This is Pasco's personal smite.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_02]: Pasco's personal smite.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's gonna be a 12 and 11, a 4 and a 5.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_01]: No age.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_01]: A 12 and a 10.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_07]: That's a 10, it's a holy shit.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_03]: Pasco is a war guy now.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_07]: Pasco, I think that you put your seal on each of these stones going into this stone thrower.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, they would have spent time doing it for sure.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_07]: And as the first is loose, and you are also guiding the skirmishers in shooting their short bows, arrows hit first, and they hit all of these skirmishers on the other side, four or five men drop right away.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_07]: And then this rock from above slams into them, killing the entire band.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_07]: you brought the vigour instantly to zero with a twelfth of that warband.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_07]: She is.
- 51:25[UNKNOWN]: She is.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_02]: Holy shit.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_01]: Pat, Pat's cause a war guy now.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_07]: at vigorous zero, war bands are wiped out entirely.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_07]: So you wiped out this entire band of skirmishers.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_01]: Damn.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_01]: And then in that case, I'm just going to like, I'm going to move after the attack.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, just kind of reposition in the battlefields with the like extra kind of like bonus die stuff I have.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_07]: Great.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_07]: You in the band moving together or you're stepping out of the band.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, you're moving with the band.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, great.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_07]: Pascal, could you also make a vigor save to see if you hold on to smite?
- 51:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_01]: Am I doing my figure?
- 52:01[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, your vigor since you left from the front.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_01]: I rolled under.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_01]: I got a 13 in my vigor 16 now.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_07]: Great.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_07]: Hell yeah.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_07]: You hold on to it.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_07]: And also prior I didn't have you roll one before.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_07]: Could you roll a vigor save for that?
- 52:14[SPEAKER_07]: Smite?
- 52:15[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_05]: My new vigor is 14.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_05]: So I actually have a decent chance at this unlike Surendry.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_07]: 11.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_07]: Some under some good.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_07]: All in it.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_07]: Great.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_07]: So you hold on to it as well.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_07]: Pasco, you direct the skirmishers to move this stone throw along as they begin to reload it.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_07]: Well, it's in transit.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_07]: Ruskin.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_02]: So Ruskin is manning a trebuchet with another group of skirmishers loading it up Unfortunately, I don't think that's her Ruskin at the current and they're not handling more great This is 10 years is too many years for Ruskin, so they are not leading from the front Unfortunately It's gonna be that So is that just then the 3d12
- 52:58[SPEAKER_07]: Just 3D12 and the D6 for those of them who have short bows who are not operating the Trevyshire.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_03]: Excellent, okay.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_03]: So 3D12 and 1D6.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_07]: 3D12 and 1D6 are you targeting Brandwind's group or the other skirmishers?
- 53:13[SPEAKER_03]: Ruskin, even in yes this heat of battle and exhaustion, has complicated feelings about Brandwind.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_03]: And if there is another target and if they could do something else, they're got to.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_03]: So they're targeting the other skirmishers.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_03]: Cool.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_05]: You rolled 3D12, it can't be that bad.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, but it is darling, it's really not I.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_07]: So is a really good role that you did?
- 53:41[SPEAKER_02]: The D12s are 1, 2, and 3.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, wow.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_02]: And the D6 is a 4.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_02]: So what's cool about that is I got 1, 2, 3, 4.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_02]: And none of them are 8s.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_05]: Hey, small straight, you know?
- 53:54[SPEAKER_02]: Small straight.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_07]: You bring this band of skirmishes guard down to zero and then do an additional two points of damage, bringing their vigor from 10 to 8.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_07]: You see that the Trebuchet launches.
- 54:07[UNKNOWN]: The Trebuchet launches.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_07]: What are you launching out of the Trebuchet, do you think?
- 54:11[SPEAKER_03]: I think we are launching frankly stones from some nearby rubble of either a town or...
- 54:19[SPEAKER_07]: It's like a scatter shot.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, great.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_03]: Biggest ones we could find, but it's not great.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_07]: Where's the stone thrower?
- 54:27[SPEAKER_07]: Is a single big stone getting whipped across?
- 54:29[SPEAKER_07]: This shoots a scattershot above this band of skirmishers.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_07]: And
- 54:35[SPEAKER_07]: Four or five rocks hit a few skirmishers knock him out.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_07]: The band holds strong, they do not run away, but the violence of the small rocks falling from the sky and hitting them is intense.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_07]: Even after 10 years of combat, the impact of a rock on a human's head is severe.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_07]: It's almost worse than the way Pasco wiped out the other Warband because that was sort of an explosion and then they were all dead, but this you can really see the individual hits.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_07]: As they still hold strong and some of them begin to carry wounded away.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_04]: Brand 1
- 55:16[SPEAKER_04]: I will have said brand-win, I think, with being face-to-face with Sir Pryor and his warband I think makes sense to start with my...
- 55:23[SPEAKER_04]: I'm so nervous!
- 55:26[SPEAKER_04]: As I swinging the statue up, knock Sir Pryor back and I'm going to swing with taking the lead with my warband of knights behind me, and I will roll!
- 55:37[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, D8 of for the mace, D4 for the night shields, D8 for the chargers that they are mounted atop, and then 2D10 for your pillar.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_06]: Oh my God.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_07]: And then are you smiting?
- 55:50[SPEAKER_07]: Yes, I love you smiting.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_07]: And then a D12 for smite.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_02]: She's a spread, it's character's gonna die, you good?
- 55:57[SPEAKER_07]: I'm fine.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_07]: I'm fine.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_02]: You're good.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_07]: You did lead from the front, so Brian, you will take the same damage the warp anti-same, yeah.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_04]: So I wrote an eight on my D12.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_04]: Six, six, a five, four, and a three.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so your highest is... My highest is an eight, which I'm going to turn into a 12.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my God!
- 56:23[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, shit!
- 56:25[SPEAKER_04]: That power is so fucking crazy.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's this crazy.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_04]: As I yell in prior space, eight will endure, as I turn that into a 12.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_07]: Oh my gosh.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_07]: Are you using any of the other dice to do gambits?
- 56:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I'll use a six for a gambit.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_04]: And I'll pick, I'll empower weapon on this next time.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, so do you want to impair the mace, the shield, or the charger, I guess?
- 56:53[SPEAKER_04]: I think the mace and charge the both of the sands.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_04]: I'll impair the mace.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, great.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_01]: Is there a way to...
- 57:01[SPEAKER_01]: Discard, not like, because how does did an eye work for a nearby ally if you're using war bands?
- 57:09[SPEAKER_01]: And is there a way to like have it be specifically for prior and not the whole group?
- 57:14[SPEAKER_07]: If it's specifically for prior, I would say Pasco will have had to separate from the skirmishers and gone and joined prior in that with your move gambit that you used.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_07]: What you can do, but you will now be also taking the brunt of this attack.
- 57:30[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_07]: But you can, if you want to do that to use tonight, we can say that you did get in range.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I'm going to do it.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_01]: Your path go.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, great.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_07]: Pasco, what dire you're removing, I imagine it is the 12th.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_07]: And then prior are you doing any denying?
- 57:55[SPEAKER_05]: Because my spirit is so bad, I don't think I think I've got to wait until it's like do or die.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_05]: And I think this moment isn't quite.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_05]: I think as I see Serpasco come in and begin to take part of the blow of what would land on me and deflect it off.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_05]: I know that I have the ability to deny my spirit is so bad, especially after seeing what I thought was going to be like the beginning of my legend turned against me by a Sir Brand when none of the Sir Brand was when I'm told I can trust.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_05]: It really makes sense that my spirit is so low and I know that I have to wait to use that kind of ability until there's no hope left.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_05]: Right now there is still hope and there's still some on the rise and so I'm going to hold on using my deny.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_07]: Brian, when what does that make your new highest die?
- 58:42[SPEAKER_07]: When you highest die, if you're six.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, great.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_04]: Which means I will use my, I'll use the six foot damage, and I'll use the four foot again, bit.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, still impairing the maces.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_07]: So you're dealing six damage, but they have armor three, brings that damage down to three, and then there is five guard on a band of knights, so that guard is gonna come down to two.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_07]: So you don't end up dealing any vigor damage.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_07]: Brian, when what does this attack look like from you and leading a war band?
- 59:08[SPEAKER_04]: In the same motion of blocking suppliers to head at acts in their attack, the swing forward knocking supplier back is about to come in with a gut blow.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_04]: Almost exactly mirroring what he did to the yoga, there's many years ago.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_04]: And so Pasco comes in between it.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_07]: Pasco, how do you stop it?
- 59:27[SPEAKER_01]: I come in as fast as I can.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_01]: I just rolled to see what Andy's stats would have been at this point and so I've got a very aged Andy coming in with me.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_01]: And a bigger kick-in, bigger two.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that, like, because of what we've been through, and you see, like, this age at Andy coming in, and even through, like, the siege plate, you can see Serpasco looking directly at you, Serbranwyn.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it was just cutting right in front of the young
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_01]: Unweel the weapon that at the beginning of their journeys, your Pasco couldn't even hold up straight, and just is now wielding on the back of this force and putting themselves in danger between you and the young knight, and just kind of throws you off your game enough that you don't follow through with the attack.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_04]: You definitely see Sabrina and Stagger back, not from the force of the Southern Black, but I think from seeing Stagger almost take it on.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_07]: prior because you were leading from the front.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_07]: You also take six damage.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yes.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_05]: So I have one armor.
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_05]: So it goes down to five.
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_05]: I have four guard.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_05]: So that gets reduced to zero.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_05]: And I take one hit to my vigor.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_05]: So my vigor is down to a vigor sound to 13.
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_07]: What would have been prior a devastating blow from this statue is the weight of brand once attackers thrown off by Pasco and you just get bumped by this statue in the shoulder in a way where you're like, when something whizzes by your head and you're like, if that did hit me, I'd be in the hospital right now, but you avoided it.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_05]: I just turned to Sir Brandman, who's just thrown this massive statue, essentially at me and look at him and just go, Sir Andrey said, I could trust you, what side of this war are you on?
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_04]: Eyes up, boy.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm going to see a month of my scholarship.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_02]: So far, eyes up, boys.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_05]: It's so fucked that you used your power.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_05]: The last time you used that power, it saved her energy and just followed my car and it isn't right.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_07]: Oh my god.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, who are you targeting with the other skirmishers and then roll for me?
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sorry, but the skirmishers are targeting the woman of knights.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_04]: The same ones I attack.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, all right, 2d12 and a d6.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_07]: Because you're not part of it, they cannot smite or anything like that.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, it was half shuts up and half lichy eyes up boy as the jacos from flying towards you.
- 1:02:25[SPEAKER_02]: Literally eyes up crazy.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_07]: It's like Loki giving a little bit of, yeah, a little bit of actual And the fight's still going on we could we're not talking
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_04]: I wrote a 6 and D6 of 12 on the D12 and a 6 on the other D12.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no!
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_04]: Jesus fucking Christ.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_07]: Pasco, can you make a save for your use of deny on that last turn?
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_01]: I did, I rolled a seven, so I rolled under.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_07]: You rolled under, okay, great.
- 1:03:00[SPEAKER_04]: I smited lots of money to roll for my save.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yeah, I rolled for your save for some more.
- 1:03:06[SPEAKER_07]: I'm good, I wrote a one.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_07]: So, 12 is the damage.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_07]: Are you using any gambit?
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'll use a gambit.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_04]: They're also going to impair a weapon.
- 1:03:17[SPEAKER_07]: I'll make it a D8 tremble.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_07]: Impair the tremble.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, great.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_07]: What is the command you give the skirmishers?
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_04]: The command is nothing more than, as I say, eyes up, eyes up, boy.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_04]: I slam the statue, the base of the statue, enter the ground, and enough a lot of thud, and almost as if on cue you hear the snapping of the tension of these boat launchers fly through the air.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_07]: A bolt that is truly like an arrow, the size of a person gets launched into the group of knights and the impact starts with prior.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_07]: Well, let me, oh, oh, do you have, are you denying as this giant tree-sized bolt that used to fly towards me?
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_05]: I hear the words of Sir Brand when saying eyes up boy, I look up over his shoulder and see this Trebuchet getting ready to launch and as this massive stone pillar of Brand with hits into the ground, I yell back shales
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_05]: and everyone immediately drops down to one knee, hurry up failanks of shields, and I'm going to deny.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_07]: Hell yeah!
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_07]: Very good!
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_07]: So you deny you take away the 12, this is gonna be six damage still?
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_07]: So this is another six damage coming at this group of nights.
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_07]: That is gonna be reduced to three by the three armor.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_07]: It is gonna take the guard from two down to zero and deal one point of damage to the war band that prior and Pasco are now in bringing you from 13 to 12.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_07]: Prior, you are also gonna take six direct damage because it is still not been your next turn and you led from the front.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so six damage gets reduced to five by my one armor.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_05]: So I go from 13 down to eight.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_05]: So still not half of my max and also not half from that single blast cool.
- 1:05:13[SPEAKER_05]: I'm gonna roll to see if I can keep my keep your keep your feet See if I can deny it.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but it's just very good.
- 1:05:18[SPEAKER_05]: We're gonna get six or under.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_02]: You can do it It's an 18
- 1:05:35[SPEAKER_07]: Pretty much your entire group leaps off their horses in a practiced motion and holds their shields up to defend against arrow fire from above and to try and glance this giant tree-sized bolt off of the group of you.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_07]: It does, but you take the brunt of the physical force on it and you do see that a couple nights get knocked unconscious by the impact as well.
- 1:05:59[SPEAKER_07]: It sort of skirts over within the darkness of this dome of shields you've created.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_07]: The impact of this bolt sliding across a bunch of shields as one knocks into your head and you see a couple of your compatriots get knocked out by the impact.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_05]: As I'm down at the front, I'm just going to begin to move back, and as I'm going back, I'm going to be yelling, fresh man to the front, fresh man to the front, and trying to like cycle back the front lines to the back, and have everyone start just kind of like ever cycling motions that people are getting breaks and feet in fresh manner, getting to the front to be able to make these attacks.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_05]: That includes you, Vlad, move!
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_05]: It's not smart, he is just buff, and he knows how to take an order.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_05]: I trust you.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_05]: It means to move back into the pack no longer leaving from the front.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_07]: Brandon, as your group is kind of surrounding this now shield, while you see your men trying to stab in the gaps of it and slash at it, as this ripple moves through as they do a rotation that you recognize from now ten years of combat.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_07]: That takes us to the top of a new round that was a single round of this combat.
- 1:07:16[SPEAKER_07]: Oh my god.
- 1:07:17[SPEAKER_07]: So I just want to check was that both of brainwins skirmishers?
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_07]: One of the bands of skirmishers died.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_07]: One of those bands.
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_05]: Oh my god, I forgot.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_05]: I was in my head prepping for another attack.
- 1:07:27[SPEAKER_05]: I was really like getting in my head of like, oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck.
- 1:07:30[SPEAKER_01]: You forgot how good Sir Pasco is at war now.
- 1:07:33[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, Sir Pasco is in the world guy now.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_05]: Sir Pasco is in the world guy now.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_02]: He forgot.
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_02]: Sir Pasco killed everybody.
- 1:07:43[SPEAKER_05]: As surprise is moving back, I think everything of this battle is telling him he does not belong here.
- 1:07:49[SPEAKER_05]: He thought he made that amazing attack, and it was denied by Sir Brandwin.
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_05]: He immediately from the front was only, I think the only good thing he did in this battle so far was.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_05]: a gift given to him by Sir Brandwin of saying eyes up boy, the only reason he knew to deny when that attack was coming in.
- 1:08:08[SPEAKER_05]: And now, Sir Pasco is sending him to the back.
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_05]: And Sir Pasco, I've seen Sir Pasco take out a whole fucking war band with one attack.
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_05]: I am very aware that there is a legend I want to live up to.
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_05]: A legend that may or may not, but definitely is significantly embellished, but one that I believe entirely.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm falling far short of what I hope to be.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_07]: The battle rages on around you that dull roar of death and combat.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_07]: As far as you're eyes can see, as far as you can see within this hex league, as far as you can see within the mist that now covers this hex league.
- 1:08:47[SPEAKER_07]: And you can see men falling as far as the eye can see and others continue to fight.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_07]: Ruskin Pasco prior, we're back to your turn.
- 1:09:06[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, surpass goes the war guy.
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think repositioning surpass goes going to now target with the skirmishers that they're directing.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_07]: You do have to go back to those skirmishers.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_07]: Are you leaving the band of nights and go back with your movement?
- 1:09:22[SPEAKER_01]: If they saw me moving in that direction, could they reasonably be now attacking the Knights?
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_01]: And they can be doing their own thing.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_07]: They could be their ranged.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_07]: So the skirmishers are ranged fighters.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, they've got short bows and the stunthroar.
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_01]: OK, then I'm just going to let them do their thing and direct the in-way that makes sense that they are to attack the Knights.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_01]: OK. And then I'll stay at the front of the Knights and attack with the Knights.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_07]: OK, you're going to lead from the front with the Knights?
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, since both the skirmishers and you are targeting the knights, you can add the skirmishers dice to this role.
- 1:09:55[SPEAKER_07]: It'll be one big dice full.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, damn.
- 1:09:58[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:09:58[SPEAKER_05]: And I will say the knights, because of Sir Brand was attacked, have been reduced by two D-8s.
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_05]: So the knights just have D-4s right now.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, because I'm pedd them twice.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, for attacking, because they've both been impaired.
- 1:10:10[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 1:10:10[SPEAKER_07]: They've jumped off their horses, is part of the flavor of that, and then also they're all focusing on holding their shields, so they're not using their maces.
- 1:10:17[SPEAKER_07]: They really just can use the shield wall to attack.
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, great.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a D4 with them.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_07]: to defore with them.
- 1:10:25[SPEAKER_07]: It's a D6 and a D12 from the skirmishers and then anything from you if you're leading.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_01]: I've got a 10 already and then I will smite.
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, great.
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_05]: Hell yeah.
- 1:10:39[SPEAKER_05]: We've also done no damage to these nice.
- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, we got to chip away at it.
- 1:10:43[SPEAKER_05]: The skirmishers, I'm not worried about.
- 1:10:45[SPEAKER_07]: Brandwinds nights are like, I think the tip top of the thing like,
- 1:10:54[SPEAKER_05]: All of these people can and have had to prove that they can wield Serbrand one's weapon.
- 1:11:01[SPEAKER_05]: That's the test.
- 1:11:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I have a couple of things that don't help me.
- 1:11:06[SPEAKER_01]: The D4 was one of the D12s as a three.
- 1:11:09[SPEAKER_01]: And then the rest of the dice, I've got a 10 for the attack.
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_01]: And then I've got a four and a five for some gambits.
- 1:11:16[SPEAKER_01]: Sweet.
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_07]: Hell yeah.
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_01]: No eighths, brand win, a bit of luck next time.
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_07]: Before you start spending gambits, is brand winner, you denying anything?
- 1:11:25[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I'm gonna deny the highest one.
- 1:11:27[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna deny that 10.
- 1:11:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Matt.
- 1:11:29[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, great.
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_07]: Make a spirit save for me, brand went to hold on to deny.
- 1:11:34[SPEAKER_07]: Rotor three, I'm good.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I still have a five to attack with.
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm gonna use the four to gambit.
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_01]: And what I'm gonna do with that four is I'm going to impair Sir Brenwin's weapon, specifically.
- 1:11:48[SPEAKER_01]: This statue can't move anymore.
- 1:11:50[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, the statue.
- 1:11:51[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, the statue, the statue, the statue, the statue.
- 1:11:54[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, there he is.
- 1:11:55[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, very good.
- 1:11:56[SPEAKER_07]: OK.
- 1:11:58[SPEAKER_07]: So you're doing five damage five damage that's going to get knocked down to a two by the three armor on the Knights and that is going to bring their guard then two three from five.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_07]: So, Brainsman's Warband fully blocks all of the big shield attacks.
- 1:12:15[SPEAKER_07]: Describe to me what this attack of you and this group of shielded men that disarms
- 1:12:25[SPEAKER_01]: What I think happened is so brand-new and has lifted it and slammed the statue into the ground previously.
- 1:12:33[SPEAKER_01]: And that is a move that Cepasco has seen dozens of times.
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_01]: Very impressive.
- 1:12:39[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, they love that move, but they knew it was coming.
- 1:12:43[SPEAKER_02]: Game respect game.
- 1:12:44[SPEAKER_01]: And so, Serpascal has seen it coming and has already run directly at Serbran Win.
- 1:12:52[SPEAKER_01]: While everyone else is preparing their attacks, and as the statue has slammed into the ground, there's a position of one of the arms and like, or a leg or something where there's like a gap in it, and so Serpascal has taken their halberd and jammed it into the ground at an angle that is
- 1:13:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Pasco!
- 1:13:15[SPEAKER_07]: That's good.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_01]: Hell yeah.
- 1:13:17[SPEAKER_07]: In a quick mechanical correction, I want to make impaired is not removing the dice.
- 1:13:22[SPEAKER_07]: It is turning them into D-4s.
- 1:13:24[SPEAKER_07]: So Pasco, you should have gotten two more D-4 on that roll.
- 1:13:28[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 1:13:29[SPEAKER_01]: Do you mind if I roll them just to see if that happens?
- 1:13:30[SPEAKER_07]: Yes, let's just see if you got anything else.
- 1:13:34[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I got a four.
- 1:13:35[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, yes, you got another gambit if you want to use another gambit.
- 1:13:39[SPEAKER_01]: Just because we're chipping away, can I just have, I guess, bolster to take away one more of the guard?
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_07]: Uh, yeah, absolutely.
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_07]: So, uh, that'll bring their guard down to two.
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_07]: So, brand-win, the statue is now just a D4 on your next turn because it's stuck in the ground in this way.
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 1:13:59[SPEAKER_07]: the nights all surge forward with their shield banging into surveillance men pushing them back in such a way that like none of them take damage, but taskboat creates that opening for you to lock down the statue.
- 1:14:13[SPEAKER_04]: I'm leaving the charge.
- 1:14:14[SPEAKER_04]: So how much damage was I excited?
- 1:14:15[SPEAKER_04]: I take damage as well.
- 1:14:16[SPEAKER_07]: Oh right, that damage was five.
- 1:14:19[SPEAKER_07]: Oh six.
- 1:14:21[SPEAKER_07]: Six, right, because it was bolstered.
- 1:14:22[SPEAKER_04]: Because bolstered, okay, cool, and I take one damage.
- 1:14:24[SPEAKER_04]: As my god goes down to zero, and I'm of two, I had to go to three, so it's five, five with that.
- 1:14:33[SPEAKER_07]: I think that little hell bird as it goes through between the legs of the statue, it like slices into a hole in your leg armor.
- 1:14:41[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, eyes up, I guess.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_02]: The most pass goes delivery of that line, I guess.
- 1:14:50[SPEAKER_05]: I guess, correct.
- 1:14:52[SPEAKER_05]: What's their prior doesn't know, but surpass could this is, that's like a classic, sort of brand-win-line.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_05]: And it wasn't one off, off the dome.
- 1:15:02[SPEAKER_07]: Prior or Ruskin, prior, you can take an individual action of some sort, if you would like, and Ruskin, you can act with the skirmishers or separate and take an individual action as well.
- 1:15:13[SPEAKER_05]: I'll go ahead and take an individual action.
- 1:15:16[SPEAKER_05]: from the middle of this thing.
- 1:15:17[SPEAKER_05]: I do have one of my weapons is a throne weapon, which is it's an unusual throne weapon.
- 1:15:24[SPEAKER_05]: And I throw off it as, and I roll a disc.
- 1:15:27[SPEAKER_05]: And it's abilities, it does plus D6 in a duel, which I don't think applies here.
- 1:15:36[SPEAKER_02]: But it is a disk that does- Disgust throwers their prior.
- 1:15:40[SPEAKER_05]: It is full on disgust with some additional like jagged edges to it.
- 1:15:44[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, shit.
- 1:15:45[SPEAKER_05]: It does D6, and I think I'm just going to make a straight attack against Cerberan one from the middle of this pack.
- 1:15:54[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, great.
- 1:15:55[SPEAKER_05]: I think I just, because I can't smite, I can't do anything else.
- 1:15:58[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, you're just a D6.
- 1:16:00[SPEAKER_07]: Just a D6, that's a four.
- 1:16:05[SPEAKER_04]: Take two damage.
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_05]: What Surprior is doing as he's moving back, he's like hunched down and and is like tucking back with this disc and as like man moved to the side, he just snipes out from the middle and you see just this ceramic and serrated disc fly through and catch Surbrand when right across the chest.
- 1:16:39[SPEAKER_07]: Ruskin.
- 1:16:40[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to say this is the first time that we have been in battle against Sir Brandwin.
- 1:16:47[SPEAKER_03]: We know that you are not on the same side as us and we have heard tell of all of the things that you have done.
- 1:16:54[SPEAKER_03]: But this is the first time where it's truly face to face and that factor and feeling
- 1:17:02[SPEAKER_03]: Bad about prior and wanting to do right by injury and have prior, you know, succeed and do these sorts of things Ruskin is.
- 1:17:11[SPEAKER_03]: Feelin' rough.
- 1:17:13[SPEAKER_03]: So, Ruskin has all the turn to circumventilin.
- 1:17:18[SPEAKER_03]: circumventilin.
- 1:17:21[SPEAKER_03]: My spirit is failing me.
- 1:17:24[SPEAKER_07]: Do you want to get in the tribute, Shay?
- 1:17:27[SPEAKER_03]: I think this is the move.
- 1:17:30[SPEAKER_02]: And Ruskin puts on hands on the window in space.
- 1:17:34[SPEAKER_02]: And Sir Gwendellin puts a hand on Sir Ruskin's face and they sort of go forehead to forehead.
- 1:17:40[SPEAKER_02]: For a brief moment.
- 1:17:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I think in a special sort of a connection, there's this glimmer of a meteor spark.
- 1:17:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's something shiny, something sweet between the two of them.
- 1:17:52[SPEAKER_02]: And then...
- 1:17:52[SPEAKER_05]: This is in the face.
- 1:17:55[SPEAKER_05]: a shyly sparked between the meteorite and the magpie night.
- 1:17:59[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, um, it's been 10 years.
- 1:18:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's a rust and gets into the, into the trebuchet.
- 1:18:09[SPEAKER_07]: It's a meteorite.
- 1:18:10[SPEAKER_07]: It says toss me.
- 1:18:12[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, this meteorite get in with you.
- 1:18:14[SPEAKER_07]: Or do you want to, is this a solo flight?
- 1:18:15[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, the meteorite spoiler has some pretty cool shit if she drops from a height.
- 1:18:22[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 1:18:23[SPEAKER_02]: So I think we're in it together.
- 1:18:25[SPEAKER_07]: Here's the thing Abigail, here's what we're gonna do, all right?
- 1:18:29[SPEAKER_07]: Because you shouldn't be doing this and I love it.
- 1:18:34[SPEAKER_07]: The, the meteor knight releases a blast of D8 shockwave damage.
- 1:18:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:18:40[SPEAKER_07]: So you are gonna take that damage if you land with her.
- 1:18:43[SPEAKER_07]: I'm just gonna put it out there.
- 1:18:45[SPEAKER_02]: I won't survive.
- 1:18:47[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna do that.
- 1:18:47[SPEAKER_02]: I just said her.
- 1:18:53[SPEAKER_05]: You both get it and you just jump out the last minute.
- 1:18:56[SPEAKER_02]: And then it's the last ticket I'm like, no!
- 1:18:59[SPEAKER_07]: No, you guys I want Ruskin to get in the TV show.
- 1:19:04[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe she- Wait, it's how much was it?
- 1:19:06[SPEAKER_02]: It was 180.
- 1:19:06[SPEAKER_07]: It's 180.
- 1:19:07[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I also write that.
- 1:19:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's fine.
- 1:19:09[SPEAKER_02]: I can do that.
- 1:19:10[SPEAKER_07]: I think also this is not the first time you and Gwendolyn or no, maybe this is the first time.
- 1:19:15[SPEAKER_07]: I think Gwendolyn asks you to do this every single time.
- 1:19:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so Ruskin has grown comfortable nose that's for Gwendolyn.
- 1:19:25[SPEAKER_03]: The meteor and I can handle being thrown from a trebuchet.
- 1:19:30[SPEAKER_03]: Gwendolyn has been trying to tell Ruskin that they can too.
- 1:19:34[SPEAKER_02]: Whether or not that's properly guided is a question for another day.
- 1:19:39[SPEAKER_02]: but the horrible emotional toil of this specific battle is causing Sir Ruskin to make some choices.
- 1:19:49[SPEAKER_07]: And Gwyneland goes, all right, men!
- 1:19:50[SPEAKER_07]: Aim at high!
- 1:19:54[SPEAKER_07]: And sits behind you in the Trevusha and wraps her arms around you.
- 1:20:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like a what's the Olympic sport?
- 1:20:02[SPEAKER_02]: Luge, we're like there.
- 1:20:04[SPEAKER_07]: Oh yeah, you're like nestled in Bob's lesson.
- 1:20:06[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah.
- 1:20:07[SPEAKER_02]: To be hopped in like Bob's sled, and are in a tight formation.
- 1:20:12[SPEAKER_02]: Feel the rhythm.
- 1:20:13[SPEAKER_02]: Feel the rhythm.
- 1:20:16[SPEAKER_07]: Alright.
- 1:20:17[SPEAKER_07]: Ruskin, today is a tremendous day.
- 1:20:23[SPEAKER_07]: on your signal, my dear.
- 1:20:25[SPEAKER_03]: All right, so I'm rolling 3D12.
- 1:20:30[SPEAKER_07]: No.
- 1:20:31[SPEAKER_07]: Oh no.
- 1:20:32[SPEAKER_02]: Oh no.
- 1:20:33[SPEAKER_07]: Sorry, you're not a cluster of rocks from the Trevyshire.
- 1:20:37[SPEAKER_07]: You can add a D12 because you're throwing yourself in the Trevyshire.
- 1:20:41[SPEAKER_07]: OK. You can add a D8 from the meteor knight.
- 1:20:44[SPEAKER_07]: OK. And a D10 from the meteor knight as well.
- 1:20:48[SPEAKER_07]: OK. Because that is the meteor knight's weapon.
- 1:20:51[SPEAKER_07]: And then any of your weapons as well that you're using or abilities.
- 1:20:54[SPEAKER_03]: I have a heavy cudgel that I think I'm using.
- 1:20:59[SPEAKER_03]: So it's another D8.
- 1:21:01[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, great.
- 1:21:02[SPEAKER_07]: And then if you're smiting, you can also add a D12.
- 1:21:05[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, boy, it feels like the time.
- 1:21:07[SPEAKER_02]: It feels like it's time.
- 1:21:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think we got it.
- 1:21:11[SPEAKER_05]: So that if you're coming from above, the words, my really feels correct.
- 1:21:15[SPEAKER_05]: It doesn't feel very correct.
- 1:21:17[SPEAKER_05]: If you rain down from the heavens, I think so.
- 1:21:24[SPEAKER_07]: All right, rip it.
- 1:21:30[SPEAKER_07]: Oh baby.
- 1:21:31[SPEAKER_02]: That feels good.
- 1:21:33[SPEAKER_05]: That feels good.
- 1:21:34[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 1:21:35[SPEAKER_05]: We've got an 11.
- 1:21:36[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
- 1:21:43[SPEAKER_02]: in eight.
- 1:21:44[SPEAKER_02]: That's a brand win.
- 1:21:46[SPEAKER_02]: But then I also have a seven or six and a five.
- 1:21:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:21:50[SPEAKER_04]: That's huge.
- 1:21:52[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I mean, I have to talk to the A. I'll need to A1.
- 1:21:55[SPEAKER_04]: The A1's as I go.
- 1:21:57[SPEAKER_07]: A2 remember.
- 1:21:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they will.
- 1:22:01[SPEAKER_07]: And then are you denying, friendwin?
- 1:22:03[SPEAKER_07]: Can I deny he said it's one porous?
- 1:22:05[SPEAKER_07]: Oh no, you just did on this, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:22:07[SPEAKER_05]: Feets say each feat can only be his once per attack by each combatant involved.
- 1:22:12[SPEAKER_05]: So I think you can use it with every attack.
- 1:22:15[SPEAKER_05]: I guess it would probably say per round if it was gonna be specific.
- 1:22:18[SPEAKER_05]: Because I think that's the vibe of what feats are, like you are super hero until all of a sudden you're not.
- 1:22:24[SPEAKER_03]: That makes sense to me.
- 1:22:25[SPEAKER_03]: I'm okay with that.
- 1:22:26[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, I'm down for that ruling.
- 1:22:27[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 1:22:27[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I'm with it.
- 1:22:28[SPEAKER_07]: I think you're right.
- 1:22:29[SPEAKER_07]: In that case.
- 1:22:30[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I'm denying.
- 1:22:31[SPEAKER_07]: So you're gonna deny the eleventh.
- 1:22:32[SPEAKER_07]: I'm gonna deny the eleventh.
- 1:22:33[SPEAKER_07]: I'm telling the eight into a one.
- 1:22:35[SPEAKER_07]: Well, well, so what does that leave you with?
- 1:22:37[SPEAKER_03]: At least you're the seven, six and a five.
- 1:22:40[SPEAKER_07]: So still not bad.
- 1:22:41[SPEAKER_07]: So you have two gambits you can perform.
- 1:22:44[SPEAKER_07]: And I'll roll my.
- 1:22:45[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, really your spirit, too, for tonight.
- 1:22:49[SPEAKER_04]: I'm good, wrote a six.
- 1:22:50[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, set, cut, dammit.
- 1:22:52[SPEAKER_07]: Ruskin, so you've got seven damage.
- 1:22:54[SPEAKER_07]: Would you like to use any gambits with the other two dice?
- 1:22:58[SPEAKER_03]: If I do two bolsters?
- 1:23:01[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 1:23:02[SPEAKER_03]: Am I going to be able to do enough to mortally wounds this or not?
- 1:23:06[SPEAKER_07]: You're going to be doing nine damage, which is going to get knocked three down to six damage.
- 1:23:10[SPEAKER_07]: You're going to take out two guard and be left with dealing four damage to a vigor of 13.
- 1:23:15[SPEAKER_07]: Right.
- 1:23:15[SPEAKER_07]: The Knights of have you taken any damages a war ban track?
- 1:23:18[SPEAKER_07]: I don't think so.
- 1:23:19[SPEAKER_07]: They haven't taken any actual damage.
- 1:23:20[SPEAKER_07]: They're taking guards.
- 1:23:21[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 1:23:21[SPEAKER_07]: They take a guard.
- 1:23:22[SPEAKER_07]: Right.
- 1:23:22[SPEAKER_07]: And then you've taken damage from leading from the front.
- 1:23:24[SPEAKER_07]: So this would be the first hit to their vigor and it would be four damage going through,
- 1:23:30[SPEAKER_03]: Bruscant again, not thriving.
- 1:23:33[SPEAKER_03]: My vigor's not very high, so I'm gonna do one gambit to bolster and one gambit to move.
- 1:23:40[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, move out of the enemy warmen.
- 1:23:42[SPEAKER_02]: Very brave, we retreat.
- 1:23:45[SPEAKER_07]: You brave people, man away away, sorry.
- 1:23:50[SPEAKER_02]: Very bravely run away.
- 1:23:52[SPEAKER_07]: So you're gonna do eight total damage.
- 1:23:54[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 1:23:54[SPEAKER_07]: So we're gonna bring that down to five from armor.
- 1:23:57[SPEAKER_07]: Bring two down to get guard down to zero.
- 1:23:59[SPEAKER_07]: And that leaves us with three damage being dealt.
- 1:24:01[SPEAKER_07]: Taking brand wins nights from 13 vigor to 10.
- 1:24:05[SPEAKER_07]: As.
- 1:24:06[SPEAKER_07]: Describe this for me.
- 1:24:08[SPEAKER_07]: Ha ha ha ha.
- 1:24:14[SPEAKER_03]: Ruskin and the meteor knight we get into the tribushe, despite the fact that this is the first time Ruskin has done this, we've practiced the formation of getting in many times before, and the meteor knight she has done this many many times before, and we shoot!
- 1:24:28[SPEAKER_02]: Right, okay, do the air!
- 1:24:34[SPEAKER_03]: And as everyone, everyone looks up in awe at this because the meteor knight is a magnificent thing.
- 1:24:42[SPEAKER_07]: Stunning.
- 1:24:43[SPEAKER_03]: Stunning.
- 1:24:44[SPEAKER_03]: Looks like she is flaming as she comes down like a cannon ball on Jesus' war band of knights.
- 1:24:54[SPEAKER_07]: She also wields a trident.
- 1:24:56[SPEAKER_07]: Oh yeah.
- 1:24:57[SPEAKER_05]: Oh yeah.
- 1:24:58[SPEAKER_05]: That's the best weapon she can possible cast.
- 1:25:01[SPEAKER_05]: I think trident, that's exactly what I want to be.
- 1:25:05[SPEAKER_03]: But I think just passed her, landing just after her.
- 1:25:11[SPEAKER_03]: If you look into the sky, it's almost blinding, because it's the shiny, incredibly shiny, outline of a bird, until at the last moment, it's not.
- 1:25:26[SPEAKER_02]: It is a screaming, serruscan.
- 1:25:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's you.
- 1:25:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's you.
- 1:25:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's you.
- 1:25:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's you.
- 1:25:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's you.
- 1:25:36[SPEAKER_03]: That's you.
- 1:25:37[SPEAKER_03]: That's you.
- 1:25:37[SPEAKER_03]: That's you.
- 1:25:38[SPEAKER_03]: That's you.
- 1:25:38[SPEAKER_03]: That's you.
- 1:25:38[SPEAKER_03]: That's you.
- 1:25:39[SPEAKER_03]: That's you.
- 1:25:40[UNKNOWN]: That's you.
- 1:25:41[UNKNOWN]: That's you.
- 1:25:41[UNKNOWN]: That's you.
- 1:25:43[SPEAKER_07]: That's you.
- 1:25:47[SPEAKER_07]: That's you.
- 1:25:48[SPEAKER_07]: That's you.
- 1:25:48[SPEAKER_07]: That's you.
- 1:25:49[SPEAKER_07]: That's you.
- 1:25:49[SPEAKER_07]: That's you.
- 1:25:50[SPEAKER_07]: That's you.
- 1:25:51[SPEAKER_07]: That's you.
- 1:25:52[SPEAKER_07]: That's you.
- 1:25:52[SPEAKER_07]: That's you.
- 1:25:53[SPEAKER_07]: That's you.
- 1:25:53[SPEAKER_07]: That's you.
- 1:25:54[SPEAKER_07]: That's you.
- 1:26:01[SPEAKER_03]: The D8 was the eight, which brand would not.
- 1:26:06[SPEAKER_07]: Which I turned to, one.
- 1:26:08[SPEAKER_07]: You're only going to take one damage, Abby.
- 1:26:10[SPEAKER_03]: Thank God.
- 1:26:12[SPEAKER_03]: I have no armor, but it's so late.
- 1:26:15[SPEAKER_04]: Take the eggs, and then take the eggs, and then take the eggs.
- 1:26:19[SPEAKER_02]: I do knock my guard down by one, so my guard goes from five to four.
- 1:26:24[SPEAKER_07]: And, brand, when you also take damage, because you've been at the age.
- 1:26:26[SPEAKER_07]: How much was that?
- 1:26:27[SPEAKER_07]: Eight damage coming at you, total.
- 1:26:35[SPEAKER_04]: I'm so glad you didn't bolster, because if he had, I would be mortally wounded.
- 1:26:40[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just shy of being mortally wounded.
- 1:26:44[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I don't know.
- 1:26:46[SPEAKER_04]: My arm is X2, so I take six out of 14.
- 1:26:52[SPEAKER_04]: Jesus.
- 1:26:52[SPEAKER_07]: I think to make this personal risk in you land directly on brand-win with this blow from your cultural.
- 1:27:00[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, it's not like you could necessarily control it.
- 1:27:06[SPEAKER_03]: I think it is because of that of landing with this cudgel and realizing who exactly I just hit because again I've got complicated feelings about this.
- 1:27:15[SPEAKER_03]: That is the thing that Ruskin rolls off and again with almost a bird like flitting back and is behind the shields of the war nights, night war band.
- 1:27:29[SPEAKER_03]: Wow, what a mouthful.
- 1:27:32[SPEAKER_07]: I think you make the briefest eye contact before Russian skirts away as fast as possible.
- 1:27:38[SPEAKER_03]: And when you see in Ruskin's eyes, it's a little bit of a mania that you've not seen before of Ruskin is going to continue to do the nightly thing because that is what they were born to do, it is what they feel they do, but there is a panic that is happening deep within them.
- 1:27:57[SPEAKER_07]: Ruskin's campers weigh the meteor-night lands and sticks her tried into the ground after unscuring it from a couple of your men and goes,
- 1:28:09[SPEAKER_05]: What a tremendous day.
- 1:28:11[SPEAKER_07]: And then starts just like handing out and fighting in the midst of what's.
- 1:28:18[SPEAKER_07]: That is now brand-win and the skirmisher side.
- 1:28:23[SPEAKER_01]: Also, I forgot to call it out, but I did this might save the vigor save, and I rolled a 14, so under the 16.
- 1:28:29[SPEAKER_07]: OK, great.
- 1:28:30[SPEAKER_07]: And then, rest, can you roll for your smite's save as well?
- 1:28:33[SPEAKER_03]: Did I smite?
- 1:28:35[SPEAKER_07]: You did.
- 1:28:35[SPEAKER_03]: I did, Smyte.
- 1:28:36[SPEAKER_03]: So I roll a D20.
- 1:28:39[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm trying to get under my your vigor.
- 1:28:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, oh, hey, get to rolled one under their vigor.
- 1:28:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I can still get it barely.
- 1:28:52[SPEAKER_04]: Actually one under your vigor is an ace.
- 1:28:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's a
- 1:28:58[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my goodness, I can get it!
- 1:29:00[SPEAKER_05]: That is the way to say that ever happens on this show.
- 1:29:04[SPEAKER_05]: That's the weirdest thing that's ever happened on this show.
- 1:29:07[SPEAKER_05]: Oh my god!
- 1:29:13[SPEAKER_04]: As you make eye contact with Sir Brownie when I think you knocked a bar into one knee, he's got blood pooling down his face, probably coating his one bed eye, he looks up at you the one good eye and that rinic flashes in his eye as you feel your arms almost get heavier, your legs get heavier under you as I turn that eight into a twenty.
- 1:29:44[SPEAKER_05]: It's so fucked up.
- 1:29:47[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, it's so terrifying.
- 1:29:49[SPEAKER_07]: Rescue him.
- 1:29:50[SPEAKER_07]: You're feeling your age after staring at that brand when.
- 1:29:53[SPEAKER_07]: It's like he reminded you how old you are in a single moment.
- 1:29:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, just the flash of all of our time together, but also all of the time before that with the cosmic night and just Ruskin is feeling their age, man.
- 1:30:09[SPEAKER_04]: I will say this is the infinite of you, that have you used to do it now, the three times now, so I only have five more uses.
- 1:30:18[SPEAKER_04]: Only five.
- 1:30:19[SPEAKER_04]: Only five.
- 1:30:19[SPEAKER_04]: Only five.
- 1:30:20[SPEAKER_02]: That's not the coolest ability any character ever had.
- 1:30:28[SPEAKER_05]: This, it feels so right for, it's be 1v3 and you have that ability.
- 1:30:31[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
- 1:30:46[SPEAKER_04]: But I think what you'll see a sub-brangler picks himself up.
- 1:30:50[SPEAKER_04]: He abandoned the statue.
- 1:30:52[SPEAKER_04]: He's implanted in the ground and pulls out a dagger from behind him.
- 1:30:57[SPEAKER_04]: As he uses this as a D6 instead of a D4.
- 1:31:01[SPEAKER_04]: Nice.
- 1:31:01[SPEAKER_05]: You're still in.
- 1:31:04[SPEAKER_05]: Still in.
- 1:31:04[SPEAKER_05]: Still in.
- 1:31:05[SPEAKER_05]: You can't fall in need on that.
- 1:31:07[SPEAKER_07]: I try to run it out.
- 1:31:09[SPEAKER_07]: And are the skirmishers also targeting the knights?
- 1:31:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, so I'm going to have a skimmer shows or to talk to the Knights.
- 1:31:14[SPEAKER_07]: So build this pool for me 2d12 from the Bolt Launcher and then are you leading from the front?
- 1:31:19[SPEAKER_07]: I'm leading from the front.
- 1:31:20[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, so 2d12 from the Bolt Launcher, a d8, a d4, and a d8 from the Knights, and then anything from you.
- 1:31:27[SPEAKER_07]: I will smite as well.
- 1:31:29[SPEAKER_07]: and Serpascos leading from the front against the night.
- 1:31:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:31:32[SPEAKER_07]: Serpascos is leading from the front so we'll take direct.
- 1:31:35[SPEAKER_07]: But Serpascos you still have denial of able to you, right?
- 1:31:37[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 1:31:37[SPEAKER_01]: And I haven't used any of the skirmishers three.
- 1:31:40[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, it hasn't used any of the skirmishers three as well.
- 1:31:42[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:31:43[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, interesting.
- 1:31:44[SPEAKER_07]: Well, the skirmishers like haven't been in close range, but everything they are now, they're like, yeah.
- 1:31:49[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 1:31:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think they would have been like coming up because I was leading them before.
- 1:31:52[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 1:31:53[SPEAKER_07]: Cool.
- 1:31:56[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my god, I wrote an eight, a 12, a 12, an eight, a two.
- 1:32:01[SPEAKER_02]: Get five, four, five, four, five, four, five, so the dice gods are obsessed with you today.
- 1:32:07[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sorry, just give it a combination of dice again.
- 1:32:10[SPEAKER_04]: The eight, a 12, eight, 12, eight, four, and eight, a four and a four.
- 1:32:16[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus Christ.
- 1:32:17[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 1:32:18[SPEAKER_02]: We're fucked.
- 1:32:19[SPEAKER_02]: Unbelievable.
- 1:32:19[SPEAKER_07]: So how many 12s?
- 1:32:21[SPEAKER_07]: Uh, two 12s.
- 1:32:23[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, because you can also turn the eighths into 12s.
- 1:32:25[SPEAKER_07]: Can't you?
- 1:32:26[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:32:26[SPEAKER_04]: The eight is on a detour.
- 1:32:27[SPEAKER_04]: So I can turn that eight into a 12 as well.
- 1:32:29[SPEAKER_04]: So I think I will do that.
- 1:32:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's three 12s.
- 1:32:32[SPEAKER_04]: It says three 12s.
- 1:32:34[SPEAKER_01]: How many denies are my guys allowed to use if they individual, if they like the group has denies?
- 1:32:40[SPEAKER_07]: They act as a single unit.
- 1:32:43[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it is poetic that he rolled three, 12, so we have three denies.
- 1:32:47[SPEAKER_05]: I just say.
- 1:32:49[SPEAKER_07]: I think letting a one war band denies on behalf of another is already pushing it.
- 1:32:54[SPEAKER_07]: And I was hoping you'd be swayed by the symmetry of it.
- 1:33:00[SPEAKER_04]: There's 12, one of them is gonna be that damage.
- 1:33:04[SPEAKER_07]: So two of them are getting denied, I think is for this the reality, right?
- 1:33:07[SPEAKER_07]: Pasco, are you using deny?
- 1:33:09[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 1:33:10[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, and then the skirmishers are using deny to get another one.
- 1:33:13[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
- 1:33:14[SPEAKER_07]: The skirmishers functionally merge themselves with the nightband, so they're also gonna take damage.
- 1:33:19[SPEAKER_07]: I think is how I'm gonna rule this.
- 1:33:21[SPEAKER_07]: If they're able to deny, they're able to take damage from this.
- 1:33:24[SPEAKER_07]: That's fair.
- 1:33:25[SPEAKER_07]: That's fair.
- 1:33:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:33:27[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 1:33:27[SPEAKER_04]: So that's 12 damage going through and I'll use the six or gambit to bolster to make that 13 damage.
- 1:33:44[SPEAKER_07]: 13 damage coming at the nights coming at Pasco, not prior directly because prior is not leading from the front anymore, but also now the skirmishers.
- 1:33:56[SPEAKER_07]: Those skirmishers that stepped in to deny are all killed by this attack.
- 1:34:03[SPEAKER_07]: 13 damage wipes their two guard and 10 vigours and immediately off.
- 1:34:08[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:34:09[SPEAKER_01]: Oof.
- 1:34:11[SPEAKER_07]: Additionally, the band of knights has armor 3, taking that 13 damage down to 10.
- 1:34:19[SPEAKER_07]: That 10 damage takes their 12 vigour down to 2.
- 1:34:23[SPEAKER_02]: Oh no.
- 1:34:24[SPEAKER_07]: Killing likely 15 to 29ths in a single attack.
- 1:34:29[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 1:34:30[SPEAKER_07]: And disbanding the Warband.
- 1:34:33[SPEAKER_07]: Pasco 13 damage.
- 1:34:38[SPEAKER_01]: 13 minus two for the plate minus another five.
- 1:34:43[SPEAKER_07]: For the guard.
- 1:34:44[SPEAKER_01]: My guard.
- 1:34:45[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 1:34:45[SPEAKER_01]: Which drops me down to bigger 10.
- 1:34:48[SPEAKER_07]: Pasco, what was your new stat spread after the age jump?
- 1:34:51[SPEAKER_07]: I think that's important to acknowledge right now.
- 1:34:54[SPEAKER_01]: after all of the years of training with my former friends or friend went, oh my gosh.
- 1:35:02[SPEAKER_01]: Pasco stats became at Viggar 16, Clarity 9, Spirit 13.
- 1:35:08[SPEAKER_07]: And that Viggar has just been knocked down to a 10.
- 1:35:10[SPEAKER_07]: What would have mortally wounded old Pasco?
- 1:35:14[SPEAKER_01]: He takes it on the chin.
- 1:35:16[SPEAKER_07]: You take it on the fucking chin.
- 1:35:19[SPEAKER_01]: Damn, Pascal.
- 1:35:21[SPEAKER_07]: Brandwin, what does this attack look like from you in the war band?
- 1:35:25[SPEAKER_07]: And also the bolt launcher, I guess, is also involved, yeah.
- 1:35:28[SPEAKER_07]: I think the bolt bolt launcher did the damage, yeah.
- 1:35:30[SPEAKER_04]: I think as the Warband in front of me, the war knights were banned, so prized Warband's subpassions were banned, raised their shields, to block their initial assault, with the Bramwyn at the tip of this spear.
- 1:35:45[SPEAKER_04]: They essentially use their body, I think they've abandoned their statue behind them, they use their body as a battering ram and slammed their body into the shore's pushing it apart and they can not open for this bolt to slam and blast into the body of this war band.
- 1:36:16[SPEAKER_01]: If we're disbanding and running off, can I do something really awful?
- 1:36:22[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 1:36:27[SPEAKER_01]: I am still over by the statue, having pinned it down from the previous round and seeing a bunch of people going off and my friend is never on horseback because usually he uses the statue.
- 1:36:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to put the statue, the best as I can, prop it onto another horse and I'm gonna take the statue away off the battlefield with me.
- 1:36:51[SPEAKER_07]: You're not damaged, you take it on the chin.
- 1:36:53[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 1:36:56[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 1:36:58[SPEAKER_07]: Give me a vigor save because this tattoo, this tattoo, I think is training with it.
- 1:37:04[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, you've been training with it.
- 1:37:05[SPEAKER_07]: So I'm gonna say give me a vigor save.
- 1:37:07[SPEAKER_07]: This is 50, 50.
- 1:37:08[SPEAKER_07]: It's 50, 50.
- 1:37:09[SPEAKER_07]: If you make this vigor save, you're able to manipulate brand-win statue enough to leave the battlefield with it.
- 1:37:20[SPEAKER_01]: I rolled a three.
- 1:37:20[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:37:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
- 1:37:47[SPEAKER_07]: brand-win studies, pulls out a dagger, leads this band of knights who brandish their maces, still atop their horses, still in combat, and push, and you slam your body into the shield wall and a ripple get sent through it.
- 1:38:04[SPEAKER_07]: As their shields break out of the clean formation of protection, as a bolt flies into the center, piercing several nights in a row.
- 1:38:16[SPEAKER_07]: that opening then allows your men to go in and get to work with their maces and their shields and you are in their fully embracing the closeness of a dagger combat, something you haven't had to do probably in many years.
- 1:38:31[SPEAKER_07]: And they disband and the nights that are wounded are dragged away.
- 1:38:38[SPEAKER_07]: You know when it's one, there's no need to relish in violence, and you're not a leave-no-survivor, sort of, night.
- 1:38:45[SPEAKER_07]: And as you look to the sides on this day, of what will once be called the Battle of the Bogg, you can see the War Knights forces being pushed back, as the Fang Knight will take this day.
- 1:39:00[SPEAKER_07]: But then, when you turn to the side, and in the distance getting smaller, you see Cepasco, aboard a horse, taking your daughter away from you.
- 1:39:24[SPEAKER_07]: And that is where we'll end this session.
- 1:39:27[SPEAKER_07]: She's a great first dungeon mythic best in the land.
