MTA Transit Changes This Summer | New York City News

This summer, the MTA’s doing major upgrades on the 1, 2, and 3 trains—skipping Lower Manhattan for five weekends straight to replace aging switch tracks and cut delays. The 1 train stops at Fourteenth St, the 2 train runs between Eastchester-Dyre Ave and 34th St-Penn Station, and the 3 train is fully shut down. Rerouted trains—including the 5 and 4—will cover the gaps. Weekday service remains unaffected, and regular service should return by August 29.
