Speaker 1: Wow, it is a Friday.
• 0:11
Speaker 2: You know what that means.
• 0:12
Speaker 3: Time for another edition of the stardom citam show it
• 0:15
Speaker 3: to me. Your man named g Marcus Grant, joined by
• 0:16
Speaker 3: Michael F. Floyer, the man who rights Let's Start Sit column.
• 0:20
Speaker 3: You can find it every wee get nfl dot com
• 0:22
Speaker 3: slash start Sit. Are we ready for the second half
• 0:25
Speaker 3: of the fantasy regular season?
• 0:26
Speaker 2: I guess so, like as ready as we can be, right.
• 0:29
Speaker 2: I felt really ready for the first half, and then
• 0:32
Speaker 2: everything went wrong, So I guess that prepared that toughens
• 0:35
  Speaker 2: you up, right.
• 0:36
Speaker 3: It's like we ratcheted up the difficulty level. It's like,
• 0:38
Speaker 3: all right, so here's the first half of the season.
• 0:40
Speaker 3: Now we're gonna take out all of the good players
• 0:43
Speaker 3: and see what you got then, So good luck to you.
• 0:46
Speaker 2: Right in the startup citem, it particularly felt rough for
• 0:49
Speaker 2: all of my fantasy teams because, like the guys, usually
• 0:52
Speaker 2: I'm like, all right, I'll get a couple running backs
• 0:54
Speaker 2: earlier whatever. This year went so heavy on wide receiver
• 0:57
  Speaker 2: and they're.
• 0:58
Speaker 3: All gone, Yeah. This was definitely I won't even say
• 1:00
Speaker 3: a zero RB year.
• 1:01
Speaker 2: This is just an RB year. All of the best
• 1:04
Speaker 2: teams are the teams that ignore everything that the fantasy
• 1:07
Speaker 2: community says and just drafted old running backs.
• 1:09
Speaker 3: It's just like you know, when you play a March
• 1:11
Speaker 3: Madness pool, it's the person who's just like well obviously
• 1:15
Speaker 3: like a tar heel would lose to a devil like
• 1:18
Speaker 3: you know, like those people who win the pools in
• 1:20
Speaker 3: your office, and just like you know in fantasy football
• 1:22
Speaker 3: as well. Anyway, you gonna go through some start sits
• 1:25
Speaker 3: at the main positions here. Let's start at quarterback. Who
• 1:28
Speaker 3: is up and who's down?
• 1:29
Speaker 2: This week? Jordan Love is a must start option for me.
• 1:32
Speaker 2: Multiple passing touchdowns in eleven straight and they get the Jaguars.
• 1:35
Speaker 2: You're gonna notice a trend with Packers in this week's article.
• 1:38
Speaker 2: Jared Goff is playing out of his mind good right now.
• 1:42
Speaker 2: And the Titans, I know, on paper look like a
• 1:44
Speaker 2: tough matchup, but they just got lit up by Josh
• 1:46
Speaker 2: Allen last week. CJ. Stroud coming off of his worst
• 1:49
Speaker 2: career game. I don't care though, I think this is
• 1:52
Speaker 2: a great week for him. The Colts bring pressure at
• 1:55
Speaker 2: the third lowest rate in the NFL. He has multiple
• 1:57
Speaker 2: passing touchdowns every game against them. Tyler Williams has been
• 2:01
Speaker 2: playing really really well as of late, running more putting
• 2:03
Speaker 2: up big fantasy numbers, and I think it could be
• 2:06
Speaker 2: a potential high scoring game. And then Kirk Cousins three
• 2:09
Speaker 2: weeks ago at this point now had his second best
• 2:12
Speaker 2: fantasy game of his career against the Bucks. He gets
• 2:14
Speaker 2: the Bucks again this week. And then some big name
• 2:17
Speaker 2: sits Dak Prescott, because he has been more of a
• 2:20
Speaker 2: name than production. You could say the same thing about
• 2:22
Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes who gets the Raiders this week. Anthony Richardson
• 2:27
Speaker 2: against the Colts has really been struggling as of late,
• 2:29
Speaker 2: as teams that have been throwing more zone coverage at him.
• 2:32
Speaker 2: Texans play a lot of zone. And then Justin Herbert,
• 2:34
Speaker 2: I know the matchup is good and he's coming off
• 2:36
Speaker 2: his best fantasy game. He still has yet to score
• 2:38
Speaker 2: fifteen in a game this season.
• 2:40
Speaker 3: It's amazing that some of these quarterbacks that we really
• 2:42
Speaker 3: invested heavily in have been so disappointing so far this season.
• 2:46
Speaker 3: Anthony Richardson though, talking about him, I mean we've been
• 2:48
Speaker 3: very frustrated, very disappointed. He hasn't scored the rushing touchdowns.
• 2:52
Speaker 3: Jonathan Taylor wouldn't rule himself out. He had sort of
• 2:55
Speaker 3: an interesting quote when asked that he was going to play,
• 2:57
Speaker 3: and it was something to the effect of always go
• 3:00
  Speaker 3: into a game thinking I'm going to play. I don't
• 3:02
Speaker 3: want to put any negativity in the air.
• 3:03
Speaker 2: I'm not going to say anything negative, which.
• 3:05
Speaker 3: Sounds like a guy who's probably not going to play this.
• 3:07
  Speaker 2: Please.
• 3:09
Speaker 3: Does that change how you feel about Anthony Richardson.
• 3:12
Speaker 2: I would feel better about Richardson if Jonathan Taylor was
• 3:15
Speaker 2: in there, because then I think I think, at least
• 3:17
Speaker 2: like you bring the running game back into where defenses
• 3:21
Speaker 2: have to be like, Okay, we're more worried about Jonathan
• 3:24
Speaker 2: Taylor on options and stuff right now. I think you're
• 3:27
Speaker 2: being like, Okay, we're going to take away Anthony Richardson
• 3:29
Speaker 2: and dare you to beat us with Trey Sermon and Goodson.
• 3:32
Speaker 3: On the other side, you got Jared Goff as a
• 3:34
Speaker 3: start and a real surprise there against the Tennessee Titans.
• 3:38
Speaker 3: Rather yeah, obviously, it looks like Jamison Willis was probably
• 3:41
Speaker 3: going to be out as he begins a two game suspension.
• 3:43
Speaker 3: Does that change anything with how you feel about golf?
• 3:46
Speaker 2: No, I think GoF right now, like what he is doing.
• 3:49
Speaker 2: He Jayden Daniels said to the four game completion percentage
• 3:52
Speaker 2: record earlier this season, and goff has broken that. He's
• 3:55
Speaker 2: one of four quarterbacks with one hundred and forty passer
• 3:57
Speaker 2: rating in three straight games, and it is directly translating
• 4:01
Speaker 2: to fantasy success, which is what we want. So yeah, Rot,
• 4:05
Speaker 2: the only league I'm sitting Jared Goffin is one where
• 4:07
Speaker 2: I also have Jordan Love.
• 4:08
Speaker 3: Okay, well that makes plenty of sense. Then, yeah, very
• 4:11
Speaker 3: interesting to watch how this Allons passing game is going
• 4:14
Speaker 3: to go, at least for the next couple of weeks.
• 4:16
Speaker 3: I say that as somebody who has Sam Laporta and
• 4:18
Speaker 3: wants him to come back to life. Running backs, who's
• 4:21
Speaker 3: your starts and who's your sins?
• 4:22
Speaker 2: Davon Han is a mustard option as long as Tua
• 4:25
Speaker 2: is back, and it looks like he will be. Josh
• 4:27
Speaker 2: Jacobs has been playing really well as of late and
• 4:30
Speaker 2: gets a fantastic matchup. Speaking of playing really well as
• 4:34
Speaker 2: of late, DeAndre Swift is just the last three games
• 4:37
Speaker 2: complete opposite of his first three games, and the Commanders
• 4:39
Speaker 2: allow explosive runs at the highest rate in the NFL.
• 4:43
Speaker 2: JK Dobbins has a fantastic matchup against the Saints, and
• 4:46
Speaker 2: we know that he will get a lot of volume.
• 4:48
Speaker 2: Javonte Williams has proven that you could trust him in
• 4:51
Speaker 2: a good matchup. That's something we talked about on yesterday's show.
• 4:53
Speaker 2: And he has the best matchup for running backs. And
• 4:55
Speaker 2: then Kareem Hunt. Not only is it a good matchup,
• 4:57
Speaker 2: Hunt is getting twenty touches a game. The only Chief
• 5:00
Speaker 2: I trust with one hundred percent confidence. And then the
• 5:03
Speaker 2: sits Nick Chubb. It's awesome to have him back, but
• 5:06
Speaker 2: he averaged two yards to carry, and it's all about
• 5:08
Speaker 2: the matchup. The Ravens are the toughest defense to run
• 5:11
Speaker 2: the ball against this season. Alexander Madison has proven that
• 5:15
Speaker 2: you could trust him in good matchups. Unfortunately, the Chiefs
• 5:18
Speaker 2: have just been shutting down running backs every single week.
• 5:21
Speaker 2: Austin Eckler is more of a safe floord running back.
• 5:23
Speaker 2: And when someone with they say floor is in a
• 5:25
Speaker 2: tough matchup, I think you get away. And then a
• 5:27
Speaker 2: couple of former Bills here in Zach Moss and Devin Singletary,
• 5:30
Speaker 2: who it seems like both have been usurped in their offense.
• 5:32
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, that's that's been tough at this point
• 5:34
Speaker 3: because Zach Moss feels like almost you can almost go
• 5:37
Speaker 3: to the waiver wire. Certainly if you're in a shallow league,
• 5:39
Speaker 3: there's no point to holding onto Zach Moss. Devin Singletary
• 5:43
  Speaker 3: is one that's interesting because I don't know if it's
• 5:46
Speaker 3: actually a takeover yet. I think we sort of want
• 5:48
Speaker 3: it to be because a lot of us like Tyrone Tracy.
• 5:51
Speaker 3: Last week, Tracy outsnapped Singletary forty to twelve. I guess,
• 5:55
Speaker 3: are we sure that it's because Tracy's taking over or
• 5:58
Speaker 3: is this just Devin Singletary working back in after injury.
• 6:01
Speaker 2: It could be that, which is why I also don't
• 6:04
Speaker 2: love Tracy this week, because I do think there isn't
• 6:06
Speaker 2: a chance that Singletary gets more involved. But on top
• 6:10
Speaker 2: of that, they're facing the Pittsburgh Steelers, which is just
• 6:13
Speaker 2: a really, really tough defense. So because of the uncertainty,
• 6:18
Speaker 2: I think you could play it safe and get away
• 6:19
Speaker 2: from both. But if you have to choose, Tracy is
• 6:22
Speaker 2: the one I would go with.
• 6:23
Speaker 3: And then Austin Eckler. I mean, obviously Brian Robinson. The
• 6:25
Speaker 3: way he's been playing, it's hard to get away from him.
• 6:27
Speaker 3: So far this year, Eckler has sort of been hit
• 6:29
Speaker 3: or miss tough matchup against the Chicago Bears. Still waiting
• 6:34
Speaker 3: on the jade and Daniels status for this week. Hadn't
• 6:37
Speaker 3: practiced early in the week because of a rib injury.
• 6:40
Speaker 3: Does the outlook change for Eckler if there's no Jaden Daniels.
• 6:43
Speaker 2: I think it gets worse because Mariota throws to the
• 6:46
Speaker 2: running backs less than Jadeen Daniels has and he's just
• 6:49
Speaker 2: not the same caliber quarterbacks. So you're scoring opportunities. Your
• 6:54
Speaker 2: yard opportunities all drop with that. So the Bears have
• 6:58
Speaker 2: been so so against the run, but they've been elite
• 7:01
Speaker 2: at stopping running backs in the passing game, and that's
• 7:03
Speaker 2: that's where Eckler makes his bread and butter.
• 7:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's you know, it's been up or down. I
• 7:07
Speaker 3: think he's played well all things considered, but Brian Robinson
• 7:11
Speaker 3: has been really, really good. So that's sort of capped
• 7:13
Speaker 3: Austin Eckler's chances so far this year. Moving on to
• 7:17
Speaker 3: the wide receivers, who are your starts in your six?
• 7:20
Speaker 2: I know you like this guy a lot as well,
• 7:22
Speaker 2: Brian Thomas Junior. I think he used his matchup proof
• 7:24
Speaker 2: at this point with the volume that he gets George Pickens.
• 7:28
Speaker 2: I think it's still volatile, but the upside is higher
• 7:31
Speaker 2: with Russell Wilson, so I think you continue to start him.
• 7:33
Speaker 2: Amari Cooper scored sixteen Fantasy points last week on a
• 7:36
Speaker 2: third of the snaps. I expect him to get more utilized,
• 7:39
Speaker 2: and it is a good matchup, great matchup for the Packers,
• 7:42
Speaker 2: so I think you could start all of their receivers.
• 7:44
Speaker 2: Jayden Reed is obviously cream of the crop, but I
• 7:47
Speaker 2: think if you have to pick between the secondary options,
• 7:49
Speaker 2: I like Romeo Dobbs this week best because they play
• 7:52
Speaker 2: man a lot in Jacksonville and he has been their
• 7:54
Speaker 2: man beater. And then Zay Flowers against the Browns and
• 7:57
Speaker 2: Darnell Mooney, who had his best career fan game a couple.
• 8:00
Speaker 3: Of weeks ago against the Bucks. Zay Flowers has been
• 8:03
Speaker 3: playing really good football. I know he tweaked his ankle
• 8:06
Speaker 3: last week. How do we feel about Rashad Bateman, who's
• 8:09
Speaker 3: also playing well lately.
• 8:10
Speaker 2: I think he is a sleeper if Jay Flowers plays,
• 8:13
Speaker 2: and if Flowers is out, I think you could just
• 8:14
Speaker 2: elevate Bateman to be a start because the Browns play
• 8:17
Speaker 2: a lot of man coverage and Flowers and Bateman lead
• 8:21
Speaker 2: the way for production against man coverage for the Ravens.
• 8:24
Speaker 3: Yeah. On the side, Deontay Johnson against the Broncos. Is
• 8:28
Speaker 3: this the matchup? Is this the quarterback? Is it a
• 8:30
Speaker 3: little bit of both?
• 8:31
Speaker 2: Well? I had him as a sit because of the
• 8:33
Speaker 2: matchup when I thought it was going to be Andy Dalton.
• 8:36
Speaker 2: Then it became Bryce Young and there's to me, there's
• 8:38
Speaker 2: no way you could trust. Plus Deanty Johnson has banged up,
• 8:41
Speaker 2: and then I'll just read the other Sits Christian Kirk
• 8:44
Speaker 2: against the Packers, Michael Pittman Junior Xavier Worthy who is
• 8:47
Speaker 2: just too boom or busts for me to trust. And
• 8:49
Speaker 2: Courtland Sutton who last week played a bunch of snaps
• 8:53
Speaker 2: but was just getting his cardio in.
• 8:54
Speaker 3: Yeah, pretty much. It's just been so hard to trust
• 8:58
Speaker 3: a Broncos wider this year. Bo Nix is playing some
• 9:02
Speaker 3: decent fantasy wise football, but so much of it has
• 9:05
Speaker 3: to do with him running too and not necessarily throwing
• 9:07
Speaker 3: the football. Finally, we got tight ends who's up and
• 9:11
  Speaker 3: who is down?
• 9:12
Speaker 2: In Week eight, I think Kyle Pitts has just become
• 9:14
Speaker 2: a tight end that you still trust right now, given
• 9:16
Speaker 2: the volume he has been seeing. David and Joku I
• 9:19
Speaker 2: think is a Mustard option as well. And the Ravens
• 9:22
Speaker 2: have really struggled against the pass, in particular against tight ends.
• 9:25
Speaker 2: Evan Ingram say, floor high ceiling. I think you get
• 9:29
Speaker 2: him in there, and the Packers have struggled against tight ends.
• 9:31
Speaker 2: They're better against receivers. Dalton Kincaid, I know he's trending down,
• 9:35
Speaker 2: but I continue to believe Amari Cooper will help Kinkaid.
• 9:38
Speaker 2: I don't think he's cut out to be a number one.
• 9:40
Speaker 2: I think he could be a number two target though,
• 9:42
Speaker 2: and then Tucker Kraft too much upside to get away
• 9:44
Speaker 2: from even if the floor is low. And Sam Laporta
• 9:47
Speaker 2: because if Jamison Williams is out, I think he could
• 9:49
Speaker 2: be the number two target once again. And then the Sis.
• 9:52
Speaker 2: I know these aren't the biggest name in the world.
• 9:54
Speaker 2: We're talking tight ends here, Pat Fryarmoth, Dalton Schultz, Isaiah Likely, Tyler, Conklin,
• 9:59
Speaker 2: Jacob just titans that have other target comps there and
• 10:03
Speaker 2: not the best offenses.
• 10:05
  Speaker 3: One name I'm curious. I know you've talked about a
• 10:07
Speaker 3: lot this week. Jatavian Sanders. I can't imagine you'd be
• 10:11
Speaker 3: willing to start him against the Broncos with Bryce Young
• 10:14
  Speaker 3: at quarterback.
• 10:14
Speaker 2: But should he at least be a stash at this point?
• 10:17
Speaker 2: I think so. I was willing to take a shot
• 10:20
Speaker 2: on him if you need it to go a little
• 10:21
Speaker 2: bit deeper with Andy Dalton because I think the matchup
• 10:24
Speaker 2: was there for targets to kind of run through Sanders.
• 10:27
Speaker 2: But yeah, with Bryce Young, this team could get shut out.
• 10:30
Speaker 2: So I don't think you start him, but yeah, he
• 10:33
Speaker 2: is definitely an upside stash moving forward.
• 10:35
Speaker 3: For Yeah, gotta be an interesting to watch.
• 10:37
Speaker 2: Does Bryce him keep this job?
• 10:40
Speaker 3: It's hard. It feels hard to start him at the
• 10:42
Speaker 3: beginning of the year, bench him, bring him back, and
• 10:45
Speaker 3: then just be like, hey man, sorry, you're going back
• 10:46
Speaker 3: to the bitch, especially for a team.
• 10:47
Speaker 2: That's not going anywhere this year. That's the thing is
• 10:51
Speaker 2: they have really no incentive not to play him, I
• 10:54
Speaker 2: would say, but I would have said that on week three.
• 10:56
Speaker 2: I know they were like, we could still save our season,
• 10:59
Speaker 2: but we all kind of you that that wasn't true.
• 11:02
Speaker 2: The thing that works against him is he gets this
• 11:05
Speaker 2: spot start in potentially the toughest matchup the quarterback could have.
• 11:09
Speaker 2: Like you got Patrick Sartan and that Broncos secondary on
• 11:11
Speaker 2: the other side that has just been shutting down passing
• 11:14
Speaker 2: attacks weekly. After that, they get the Saints. Like, if
• 11:17
Speaker 2: he was coming back for the Saints game, I'd feel
• 11:19
Speaker 2: a little bit confident, like maybe he could do a
• 11:21
Speaker 2: little something, But I think he's going to struggle this week.
• 11:23
Speaker 3: Yeah, I would stay away from any of your Panthers
• 11:26
Speaker 3: this week. On the flip side, start your Broncos defense.
• 11:30
  Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, I know that's not a sleeper calls
• 11:32
Speaker 3: out of surprise. If you have the Broncos defense, you
• 11:34
Speaker 3: probably started them, but especially super extra, start them this week.
• 11:39
  Speaker 3: If that's a thing.
• 11:40
Speaker 2: What they did last week. Last week, they can take
• 11:42
  Speaker 2: advantage of good.
• 11:42
Speaker 3: Matchup exactly, So super Extra, start your Broncos defense in
• 11:46
  Speaker 3: week eight.
• 11:47
  Speaker 2: There you go.
• 11:47
Speaker 3: Of course, you can go to NFL dot com slash
• 11:50
Speaker 3: Start Sit for a little bit more analysis on all
• 11:53
Speaker 3: of the players in Michael f. Florio's Start Sit column.
• 11:56
Speaker 3: But in the meantime, good spot for us to take
• 11:58
Speaker 3: a break for this week. We appreciate you hanging out
• 12:01
Speaker 3: with us here on the Stardom Syntam Show. Stay happy,
• 12:04
Speaker 3: save and healthy, do good and live well. Enjoy wee Gate.
• 12:07
Speaker 3: Hopefully it is a prosperous one for all of you
• 12:09
Speaker 3: out there, and we will talk to you again real
• 12:10
  Speaker 3: soon
